DIY Wedding Dress | Thrifted Transformation | No. 1 / Aura Sketch - Duration: 2:39.

Hi Everyone, I am so excited to transform this thrifted

Abercrombie and Fitch dress into a simple boho inspired wedding dress.

The dress was $6 and I bought $30 worth of fabric to build onto it.

If all goes well, it will be a wedding dress under $50.

I am going to start with a sketch of my design.

I did some sketching beforehand on tracing paper to iron out some details then transferred

it to watercolor paper to do my final sketch.

Overall the the dress fits pretty nicely on me, but it's way too short to be worn out.

I love the fit and style of the bodice and V cut in the back.

So I am going to keep that somewhat the same.

I want to create a deeper V but that's about it for the top.

This will be the perfect dress for the outdoorsy woman.

A woman who loves nature, greenery, and simply being free.

In order to do this, I will take out the elastic waist band to remove the skirt.

Deepen the V and then recut and attach a half circle skirt with gathered chiffon.

Once that's done then I'll create the bow that will be slightly longer than the

dress as a very short train.

In the end, I am going to skip the long train trend and simplify the design to a floor length

gown with a short train just give her a little impact when she walks.

It might be weird and I know I can install a zipper but I truly do not like wearing

clothing with zippers.

Unless the fabric has some give to it, it really makes me feel a little constricted.

So this wedding dress and probably most of my future gowns will forgo the zipper.

I definitely love the idea of adding elastic to the waist line instead.

This way she can eat as much as she wants and dance as hard as she can without feeling

as if the dress is going to break.

To top the look off I will make a leafy boho flower crown and then it should be perfect!
