Waching daily Feb 22 2017

It´s weekend, and we´re going to have lunch...

in a nice place.

Let´s go!

So... we have been thinking and...

we´re not going to have a proper lunch

we´re just going to have a quick meal instead

and...

Because in winter time the light goes down earlier

We want to go to a very beautiful place

and without light it´s not fun.

we already had lunch, at the one who never fails.

And... Let´s go to the elevator....

Joana is taking selfies.

We´re at the Santa Justa elevator, waiting for our turn.

Like two tourists.

No one here speaks Portuguese, which is amazing!

We are with high expectations!

In an hour we´re up there!

So, we have already progressed a lot.

We are groups of ten or fifteen people

So, we´re probably go up in the next group.

It started to rain.

We will not give up!

This is it!

It´s not enough, we´ll go even higher!

So scary, i´m so dizzy!

I swear, i´m dizzy!

If you live in Lisbon and have never had the time to come here, it´s a sin!

It´s a heart, so cute.

What a great photo!

This is amazing, It´s really worth come up here, we can see whole Lisbon

and... it´s amazing!

You have to come here, it´s expansive 5€, but it´s worth.

We´re satisfied!

Lisbon is beautiful!

She´s choosing fabrics

For her wedding dress.

I went to a fabric shop

to see lace.

And you could not enter! That´s why i told you to leave immediately.

We are in Terreiro do Paço!

YouTUBE that's all for today! What a day!

Three ways to change minds - Duration: 5:37.

When people have extreme political beliefs, and then they see evidence that opposes them, they temper those beliefs to become more moderate.

Ah, no, whoops. That would be the smart thing to do and politics makes us stupid.

We actually dig their heels in and support those beliefs more, against the evidence.

It works this way for liberals and conservatives.

But at the same time, political beliefs aren't something that people take lightly.

You wouldn't expect someone to just change their mind after just a single conversation.

They've usually been thinking about these things for a while.

So is there anything that can sway people's opinions, even just a little bit?

Yes, in fact--and here are three.

Number one: Forget about knowledge. Focus on curiosity.

There's a problem with focusing on knowledge and facts, and it's not just that sometimes people ignore them.

Sometimes the people you disagree with most have the same knowledge as you, but they use it to reach the opposite conclusion.

One study showed liberals and conservatives some data about how effective a gun control measure was.

It was fake data; in one case it showed the measure was effective, and another case, it wasn't.

But--that wasn't obviously apparent, you had to do some simple math to see that conclusion.

When people were asked--not even for their own opinion--but just what conclusion the data supported,

people let their prior politics do the thinking.

Liberals thought it worked, conservatives didn't.

Not only that, but being better at math made them worse at getting to the correct answer--

--if it went against their political beliefs.

You can find a similar pattern with general science knowledge and belief in climate change.

If you're strongly conservative,

having more science knowledge is associated with believing in climate change less, and vice versa.

Researchers argue that the smarter you are,

the better you are at finding arguments that support what you already believe.

But, if you focus on curiosity instead of knowledge--

--ask questions about the pleasure of finding out new things, or how often people read science books, and the like--

--opinions converge.

More curious conservatives--and more curious liberals--

--are more likely to agree that climate change is real than the less-curious folks who share their politics.

It's a small effect--

--it's not as if the science-curious conservatives are endorsing the reality of climate change

as much as, well, any of the liberals on average.

but it's enough to show that curiosity is associated with bucking the party line just a little bit.

...and moreso than knowledge is.

Number Two: Use your words. Don't use their words.

To learn about what arguments are most effective in changing people's minds,

some researchers looked at over 12,000 posts in the subreddit called "change my view,"

where people make a case, invite counterarguments, and say whose arguments convinced them to change.

What the researchers called the "feature with the most predictive power of successful persuasion"

was to reply using words that were dissimilar to the original post.

Use of similar wording seemed to suggest they were just raising arguments the original poster had already heard before,

and instead it was better to raise points they didn't originally address.

And quoting the original post directly was interpreted as nit-picking, and that was really unconvincing.

They found some other trends as well, some things that might seem like intuitive advice:

staying calm instead of getting angry, bringing some evidence,

and writing longer posts were all more likely to convince people.

But it's worth noting this study was done in a context in which people were open to having their mind changed.

And even then, the change happened in a minority of cases.

Also noteworthy was that people who used the word "I" more than "we" in their original post were more susceptible to change.

Use of "we" suggested they were more firmly entrenched.

And having more than 4 back and forth exchanges was a good sign to give up.

Number Three - Forget about your morals. Think about their morals.

Our political beliefs are often driven by our moral intuitions,

and some recent research has shown that many of us on both sides of the political divide share some similar moral intuitions.

Both liberals and conservatives endorse values relating to caring for others, and avoiding harm when possible, and generally being fair.

But elsewhere, our moral intuitions diverge.

People on the conservative side of the spectrum tend to endorse values related to purity,

respect for authority, and loyalty to ingroups.

Whereas liberals tend to be disinterested in those values,

or endorse the opposite: challenging authority, or dissolving those group boundaries.

This means when we try to change someone's opinion, we think of why we hold our own opinion,

and these moral values immediately spring to mind.

That's not that helpful.

And, some recent work suggests that you can nudge people's opinion just a little bit

if you frame your argument according to their morality.

For example, in one study participants read arguments for universal health care.

One focused on the moral principle of fairness:

we should take care of everyone, people don't choose to get sick, et cetera.

Another focused on principles of purity:

the "grotesque symptoms" of disease and the need to control them to keep them from spreading.

After reading the argument based on purity,

conservatives showed a little more support for the Affordable Care Act

than if they read the argument based on fairness.

A similar effect was found in arguments for gay marriage:

conservatives were more swayed by an argument that gay couples were proud and loyal Americans--

--serving in the military and contributing to the economy--

--than they were by an argument based in fairness and equality.

But, the cat swings both ways.

Similar studies showed that liberals could be convinced to increase their support for military funding,

by framing the argument in terms of the services provided to soldiers, and the disadvantaged groups who are often recruited.

Or, to support enforcing English as a national language--based on it leveling the playing field for immigrants.

None of these are huge effects.

It's not like these arguments are suddenly convincing majorities of people to change their minds.

But, to make effective, practical change, sometimes nudging just a few people just a little bit is exactly what you need.

Thanks for watching. See you next time!

Antikythera Episode 2 - The Main Solar Drive Wheel B1. - Duration: 11:46.

G'day Chris here, and welcome back to Clickspring.

In this video I begin work on probably the most recognised part of the mechanism.

The iconic gear wheel known as B1.

Its tempting to look at this part and assume that its a bit like a clock wheel.

Formed from a single piece of raw sheet stock and then crossed out to reveal the spokes.

But look closely at this scan of the wreckage,

and you'll see thats not how the part was actually made.

There's clear evidence of a dovetail join at the end of this spoke.

And in fact other scans confirm dovetail joins at the end of all 4 spokes.

In the center there's evidence of an overlapping notched join,

with 4 rivets holding the cross members together, to form the 4 spoke shape.

This part was fabricated, not cut from sheet stock.

And once that fact sinks in, a whole bunch of questions arise.

For example: What were the tools available to the original maker to form this part?

We know for sure about some them, like dividers, hammers and files.

But were there others tools we don't yet know about.

And what about the dovetail join itself?

The maker has confidently applied an engineering technique

in a way that suggests complete familiarity,

as if it's a standard, well established practice.

Such confidence likely came from previous experience.

Were there other similar geared mechanisms that preceded this one?

And why go down this much more difficult route of fabricating the wheel blank in the first place?

Was it a design requirement?

A repair?

Maybe even a corrected mistake?

My personal thought on the last question

is that it was probably the same reason that motivates makers today:

Cost of materials.

Bronze was expensive, in fact it still is.

I imagine it was far better to re-use the center cutout for another wheel,

and then use some off-cut scrap for the spokes,

rather than to consume expensive fresh stock.

But whatever the reason, it must have been a very good one,

because this is by no means the easy way to make this part.

As per the original device, the cross members will be notched,

drilled and then riveted together, and the dovetail joins will be filed to shape,

for an interference fit with the perimeter ring.

A central hole will be bored, and finally the teeth formed at the perimeter.

Now the scans show what appears to be an amendment to one of the dovetail joins.

A thin sheet of bronze has been both pinned and soldered over the top.

It could be a feature of the planetarium support structure,

but I think its more likely to be either a repair,

or a pre-emptive effort to strengthen an otherwise weak join.

It'll be interesting to see if there's an inherent flaw in the dovetail join,

that requires me to make a similar amendment later in the build.

In any case, its clear that there are a number of challenges to be overcome

in fabricating the part this way, the most pressing of which is the issue of alignment.

It's essential that the parts be brought back together into precise alignment

every time a progress check is made on the fit.

The slightest misalignment, and the other intersections become compromised.

More metal than necessary would be removed, with the result being a poor overall fit.

So I'm going to use a simple circular jig to make life a bit easier.

The cross members will be located using the center pin on the jig, and an offset pin.

The outer ring will be positioned using the register I've turned on the wooden block,

and a single steady pin on the perimeter.

Next up are the 2 cross members that will form the spokes.

The raw stock is an offcut from a previous project.

It needs to be marked out, and then roughed to shape.

I used the mill to clean up the raw cuts and also to drop in a reference hole

in the center of each piece, to match the central pin on the alignment jig.

Now the jig performs 2 .

Not only does it give me a way to maintain alignment during the filing,

but it also works as an excellent platform to help me accurately mark out the work for each step,

like for example marking out the 2 notches required for the center join.

Back to the mill, and I formed the shallow notches,

aiming for a snug fit with the opposing part.

A quick clean up of the burrs left from the mill,

and these 2 parts are ready to come together and be marked out for the rivet holes.

The rivet holes were then drilled, while the 2 parts were assembled,

and a set of 4 small rivets turned to size on the lathe.

The process of riveting has drawn the 2 parts tightly together,

leaving the rivets just above the surrounding metal surface.

From here I can use files and abrasive paper to take them all of the way down to that surface,

and then blend them into the surrounding metal.

OK, next up the small alignment pin for the spokes was marked out,

and then installed in the same manner as the one on the perimeter ring.

Now the dovetails are essentially an exercise in freehand filing and fitting.

Which as you can imagine with 4 opposing dovetails, has a fair chance of going astray.

I'd like them to look reasonably consistent across the part,

so I've made a couple of simple tracing templates

to give me a fighting chance of getting a good result.

And as I make a start on the filing, its a great time to ask another question:

With so much precision hand work,

how did the original maker solve the problem of workholding?

There's no doubt that a secure method of holding the work would have been essential.

So what was the ancient equivalent to this modern screw vise?

Filing small parts doesn't usually require a whole lot of force.

And the vise also doesn't need to generate a particularly high clamping force,

just enough to grip the work.

So I imagine a simple wooden clamping peg like this, could easily do the job,

not unlike a modern pin vise.

A clamping ring, designed to be a sliding fit over the tapered section,

could be gently tapped into place to provide the clamping force.

If it were solidly fixed to a simple bench at a convenient height,

I think it'd do a great job, and its consistent with the known technology of the time.

Of course a lot of the detail of workholding devices like this

will probably never be known for certain.

But the mechanism has many features that strongly suggest a tool technology

that goes well beyond files and hammers.

So its going to be a lot of fun speculating about the nature of that tool technology,

and its a theme that I expect to return to often as the build progresses.

Back to the task at hand, I used a hand saw to remove a small part of the waste stock,

and then again used files to open up the recesses.

And as you can imagine at this point I was taking this nice and slow.

Carefully checking after each change, and slowly working towards a close fit.

In fact this is the part of the process where the jig really becomes useful.

Indicating how much and from where, metal still needs to be removed.

At the point where I could feel each of the dovetails just click into position,

I called the filing complete.

And with no further need to check alignment,

I tapped out each of the alignment pins.

The spoke assembly was then lightly pressed into position, and then hammered home.

The part was then mounted on the lathe and taken to final dimension,

all ready to receive some of those amazing triangular teeth.

Now there's a lot I'd like to talk about regarding the geometry and formation of those teeth,

so rather than make this video too long, I'll save that discussion for a later time.

But after completing the first substantial piece of the mechanism,

its becoming clear to me,

that the story of how this machine was made

is going to be as much about the tool technology used to make it,

as it will be about the device itself.

Thanks for watching, I'll see you later.

Now before you go, and while I'm still on the subject of gear teeth,

in the latest Patron Series episode on the Byzantine Sundial-Calendar build,

I go through the process of how you can make your own cycloidal gear teeth cutters.

Something that can literally save you hundreds of dollars, on the cost of a project.

So if you're enjoying the videos, would like to help me make more

and maybe save some money in the process,

then consider becoming a Clickspring Patron.

Patrons get the same deal as for the first patron Series Project.

Exclusive access to the build videos,

free plans for the Patron Series projects,

and of course the added bonus that one lucky patron

will get to keep the finished project at the end of the build.

The Big Air Grab - American Ninja Warrior: All Stars 2017 (Digital Exclusive) - Duration: 9:34.

-Welcome back to the "All Stars" edition

of "American Ninja Warrior" and our skills competition.

And it's time to find out what kind of air

our ninjas can get off a trampoline

on the "Big Air Grab"

They're gonna launch themselves

as high and as far as they can off this trampoline.

And, Matt, it's not only about the jump.

It's about the grab in order for it to count.

-Here's how it works.

We've got five top ninjas who will take turns

bouncing off a trampoline up to grab the curved board.

We'll start at 14 feet,

and keep increasing the height until we have a champion.

And starting us off, it's seven-time "Ninja" veteran

Brent Steffensen.

-Let's go, man. Let's go get this one.

-Well, Steffensen used to be a part of a trampoline team.

He should do well here.

-You got it, Brent.

Let's see it.

-Again, it's 14 feet

from the trampoline to the top of the board.

Perfect! -Oh, yeah!

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Brent Steffensen making it look easy.

Up next, our only female competitor, Meagan Martin

-Big up, big up, big up here.

-Meagan, of course, one of the top rock climbers in America.

But she's only 5'3".

Has to go up 14 feet.

-Oh! -Oh! Yeah!

-Meagan Martin gets it done at 14 feet.

-Well, Meagan Martin just flew up

almost three times her height, and look at this.

She gets both hands on the board,

and the Jordan tongue comes out.

-Up next, it's the flight attendant from Honolulu,

"The Island Ninja," Grant McCartney.

-All right, here we go.

-Oh! -Oh!

He could have done that with his chin.

And a shimmy.

-I see you, baby! I see you.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Grant McCartney nails it,

so the pressure's on "The Bull," Kevin Bull,

the stock trader from Scotts Valley, California,

who was a decathlete in college.

-14 feet for The Bull.

-I don't know, this boy can bring

the energy to anything here.

-Oh!

-That was close.

You saw only peel off of that one.

-He needed the horns to lock that one in.

And now it's Nicholas Coolridge,

the acrobat out of Venice, California.

Spends a lot of time training on trampolines.

Oh, one-handed!

Picture perfect! -Yeah, baby!

-He just dominated that.

I thought they made it look easy.

What are we gonna do?

-You know what? Let's jack this thing on up.

-14 1/2 feet!

Up first at the new height,

the San Antonio gym owner Brent Steffensen.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-You've got to trust this tramp.

-Perfect. -Nice.

-He's getting stronger as we go.

-I think he could have gone for --

he might have been able to touch the truss there.

-Now it's Meagan Martin's turn.

Former pole vaulter from Vanderbilt.

-Whoo! Get it, Meagan!

-Only 5'3" going 14 1/2 feet.

One miscalculation, and you're getting wet.

-And there's -- -Oh!

Oh, misses out! -So close!

-Oh! -But double arms up.

She enjoyed the ride, Akbar. That was close.

-Yeah, watch it again.

Meagan didn't hit the trampoline dead center.

She was just a little too far forward,

and look at her hands.

She barely touched the board.

Not enough to hold on, and she is out.

-Now it's time for the flight attendant to get big air.

Grant McCartney!

[ Cheers and applause ]

The heaviest competitor at 195 pounds.

-Use your weight!

-All right, here we go. Take me to Maui!

Nice! -Oh!

Did you see the power?!

-I think he can go way, way up.

-Well, Grant McCartney nails it.

Now it's Kevin Bull's turn.

-Go, Kevin!

-Bull comes in at 5'9", 157 pounds.

-Oh! -Cannonball!

[ Audience "Ohhs" ]

-And that's it for the bull.

-Kevin Bull is out.

Like Meagan Martin,

Bull hit the trampoline a little too far forward.

And look at his trajectory.

He goes out instead of up,

and comes up well short of the board.

And Kevin Bull is eliminated.

-So, the final athlete of 14 1/2 feet

in Nicholas Coolridge.

-Come on, Nick, let's go!

-Just think, they're going up

4 1/2 feet higher than a basketball hoop.

-Now, let's see if he can the skills --

-Oh, one hand and the other.

-He did the -- -Superman!

-He did the one hand. I see you.

I see you going Air Jordan over there.

-Well, we got three ninjas.

So, Akbar, there's one thing we got to do.

-Jack that thing on up. -Jack it up!

And we're gonna start making big moves.

We're gonna take it all the way to 16 feet.

[ Chanting "Jack it up!" ]

That's what we're gonna do.

16 feet right there.

-And once again leading us off at this new height,

Brent Steffensen.

[ Cheers and applause ]

Brent's 5'9", so this is almost three times his height.

-Here it is.

-Oh!

-Oh! Okay, Brent!

-Hanging loose at 16 feet!

Brent Steffensen, the first up and the first to hit it.

-Well, check out our boy Steffensen.

He got his arms all the way out

and used them to propel himself up.

And look at that smile on his face.

And even he can't believe he got that high.

-Now it's Grant McCartney's turn.

-Come on, man!

-16 feet.

Oh, a little shimmy.

-Oh, once he starts dancing, that's it.

Once he starts dancing, that's his thing right there.

-Make it stop. -195 pounds.

-Here we go. You thought they cancelled

the NASA program? Nope.

-Oh! They did!

-Mele kalikimaka, Grant McCartney washing out.

-Say what?

Well, look at how far McCartney pushes that trampoline down.

It's almost touching the water.

And when he comes up,

he drifts left and had no shot at grabbing the board.

-A great effort by Grant McCartney,

but now there are just two left.

And last to try at this 16-foot mark is Nicholas Coolridge.

-Well, last time, it looked like he had a good foot more in him.

-Boy, let me tell you what he's thinking right now --

"I believe I can fly."

That's exactly what's going through his head,

"I believe I can fly."

Oh! -Oh, my goodness!

-Boy, he just walked on the moon with that one!

Did you see it?

-It is unbelievable what this man is doing.

-Look at "Crazy Legs" Coolridge again.

His arms are flying, his knees are turning different ways.

And yet, somehow he got up with room to spare.

[ Crowd chanting "Jack it up!" ]

-Akbar, two left at 16 feet. What are we gonna do?

-We gonna jack that thing up again.

Jack it up! Jack it up!

-We're going to 16 1/2 feet.

-That thing is going all the way up.

-Up first, Brent Steffensen.

-All right, Brent. All right, come on.

-16 1/2 feet.

-He's going flying.

Oh, he got it. -Oh!

-Oh, air ball!

-And Steffensen can't make the grab!

-Well, Steffensen tried to go one-handed,

and you see he just came up a few inches short.

And on the way down, he throws up his signature "shaka"

with his hands, and he goes out in style.

-So the path has been cleared.

If he sticks this jump,

he takes home the title in the "Big Air Grab."

It's Nicholas Coolridge.

-Come on, man. Come on. You ready, man?

You ready? -Come on, Nick.

-Come on, Nick! -Come on, Nicholas!

-16 1/2 feet.

-That's a long way up.

-The crowd egging him on.

-Tremendous focus.

-Here he goes.

Oh, my!

[ Cheers and applause ]

-That's big time, prime time right there!

-Whoo-hoo!

-Coolridge conquers 16 1/2 feet!

And he may have been able to go higher.

-Look at Coolridge.

He jumps up, so he comes down on the trampoline with force,

and he just floats up and makes a one-handed grab.

And look at his face. That's the look of a champion.

-Right now, the champion's down with Kristine Leahy.

-Nick, nice work out there.

So I hear that you hear you bring your own trampoline

out to the beach sometimes.

Did this feel a little bit like that?

-Oh, yeah, no, I love taking my trampoline and setting it

all around town or by a wall or at the beach

and just experimenting with jumping on different obstacles.

So this felt, actually, really comfortable for me.

-Well, you looked great out there.

Congratulations, well-deserved. There you go.

Put that medal on.

-Whoo! -Guys, back to you.

-And there you have it.

Nicholas Coolridge, our first champion

of the "Big Air Grab" skills competition.

the UK and i'm just about to make myself

something to eat but it isn't a main

meal

it is in fact deserved i am making a

dessert for myself as you know I have a

very very sweet tooth very sweet tooth

if you have a sweet tooth it means you

like eating sweet things for example I

like eating chocolate who can you see

the chocolate that I love eating

chocolate in fact i think it is safe to

say that I have a very sweet tooth

indeed a big hello to everyone who is

watching at the moment this is a very

special surprise livestream i am now on

my mobile phone so i hope you can hear

the ok if you can hear me clearly please

say hello mr. Duncan we can hear you

who hello mr. Denton we can hear you can

you hear me

I hope so

salutations and hello from Azerbaijan

and also I can't see the writing because

it's very small

my career has just said hello and also

rikku is here

hello welcome to my kitchen a lot of

people want to know what I do when I'm

not teaching English well here is a

small peek into my life i'm about to

make something very nice to eat so I'm

going over here to make something sweet

and delicious to eat now what I am doing

I am going to make a special deserved

using mangoes those who are regular

viewers you will know that i love mango

so here are some mangoes that have

already been chopped ur so these are

chopped mangoes because sometimes i get

very lady cuc very lazy so here are some

mangoes that have already been cut earth

so i'm going to put these in my special

dessert

also we are going to use some yogurt as

well

yogurt now this is very healthy yogurt

because it has no fact it is

zero-percent fact can you believe it it

as it has no fat whatsoever who also we

will be adding we will be adding some

digestive biscuits to our special

deserved this world and some some Jam

because jam is very very

sweet so first of all first thing we

need to do is to put some jam in the

bone so excuse me a moment I will put

some jab in the bowl to do here is the

job so i will put a big blob of job in

the bowl first of all the next thing

we'll do is mix it mix it around in the

bowl now what you want to do is put the

jam around the inch of the bowl

there you go so you want the jam to go

all right all right way around the side

all the way around the edge of the bowl

that you see and you see it i hope so

then you need to add add a couple of

spoons of yogurt

do and maybe a little bit more as well

we go so now you have some jam and

yogurt in the bowl

what so far so good

whoo yeah here comes the interesting

part we have to put some of these

mangoes into the bowl as well but first

of all I have to cut the man goes to

make them a little bit smaller do so I

need to cut the rangos I just need to

get a plate

excuse me

here's a plate so i have my special red

knife sharp knife for cutting the mangos

so hearing that slicing up the macros

making a very small imac slicing the

mangoes slicing them the Babbitt slicing

of mangoes

I hope this is boring all the more

mangoes the magnet is up until very

small very small pieces to do

ok so now we have the mango cut up can

you see it to do

mmm juicy

tengo you still there are you still

watching I hope so now we put the mango

is the ball

yeah so now in the bowl we have

strawberry jam yogurt and mango now here

comes the most interesting part some

very interesting something very

interesting i need to open the packet of

biscuits because now we are going to add

some digestive biscuits but first of all

we need to crush them we need to crush

them up a little i hope you still there

who so I'm going to use my big spoon

I'm going to crush the biscuits

I'm going to crush the biscuit I hope

you can still hear me can you hear me

please let me know you let me know you

can hear me before I carry on

yes thank you very much so their jaw God

garlic

I like God we are not going to crush the

biscuits

crushing the Mystics ok i will bring you

over to the other side close and

personal shall we

ok so now I'm crushing the biscuits

there we go the biscuits are now crushed

up the next thing we need to do is we

need to add the broken biscuits to the

object

22

I don't put them all in because you will

be sprinkling some on top as well later

then again so that's added now here

comes the exciting part because now we

have to stir everything together

yes my spoon is very big it is very

rugged it is very heavy

we will find another spoon now we have

my small spoon and we will stir this

together to do so now we are going to

stir it we are going to mix everything

together

I call this Duncan's delight because it

is very delightful to eat so you stare

at around stir it all together

keep stirring just keep stirring just

keep stirring they're installing now the

next thing you need to do is to sprinkle

some biscuits on the top that's mixed

together lap

so now we need to mix now I'm going to

sprinkle the rest of the biscuits on the

top now I have sprinkling the rest of

the biscuits on talk

call this mr. Dawkins treat then comes

delight

ok let me show you what we now have so

now as you can see we have finished meal

so the next thing you need to do is

place this into the refrigerator for

about 10 minutes so it becomes very

chilled so you need to put this then

into the refrigerator to do it is so we

are not going to put Duncan's delight in

to the refrigerator and it needs to go

into the refrigerator for about 10

minutes so it will chill and also the

biscuit on the top will go nice and

crisp up there are tapes Duncan's do

that for it you will need some job whoo

so yo get warm some mangoes or you can

use some strawberries

so I have some strawberries here as well

so if you don't like mango you can use

strawberries instead and as you can see

i have a big packet of strawberries so

maybe tomorrow night instead of mango i

will have some strawberries instead

mmm very nice of course we can't forget

the most important part the biscuits

these are digestive biscuits digestive

biscuits so you can use digestive

biscuits and you can smash the digestive

biscuits up

okay okay it is time for me to go in a

moment I hope you are enjoying this

because I've never done this before it's

the first time i have ever gone live on

my mobile phone so i hope you have

enjoyed this

Jessie Graff's Thunderbolt Pegboard - American Ninja Warrior: All Stars 2017 (Digital Exclusive) - Duration: 5:20.

-Welcome back to Las Vegas

for the "American Ninja Warrior" All Star Special.

And right now, we're debuting a brand-new skill competition,

"The Thunderbolt."

At "American Ninja Warrior,"

we used to see one athlete on the course at a time.

But, Akbar, sometimes when it comes to bragging rights,

you got to settle things head-to-head.

So we're here at The Thunderbolt

to see who will dominate the peg board.

-Well, that's right, Matt.

This Thunderbolt is gonna come down

to speed, strength, and endurance.

-Basically, this is a giant lightning-bolt-shaped peg board.

Our athletes will move the pegs in and out of the holes

as they race to the buzzer.

We'll have two heats.

The winners of those heats will face off in the finals.

We'll start off with two "Ninja" legends,

43-year-old Travis Rosen from Franklin, Tennessee,

against the first man to climb Stage 4,

Maryland cameraman Geoff Britten.

-Oh, it's about to go down.

[ Crowd cheering ]

-And they're off.

-Oh, Matt, there's 66 holes on this Thunderbolt here.

So you got to plan your route carefully.

-28 feet of peg board.

And look at Geoff Britten go!

The man known as "Popeye"

for those forearms is climbing this thing.

-You can see that he planned his route carefully.

He is smoking down route 66.

-But Travis Rosen is closing in.

You have to get that next to the last hole

before you hit the buzzer.

-I see you, Geoff Britten!

-And Geoff Britten is gonna do it.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-He was smoking up that Thunderbolt!

-Travis Rosen pushed him.

But that is why he was the first American Ninja Warrior.

Geoff Britten is moving on to the second heat.

-Good job, guys!

-I tell you, Britten is so strong.

He can use that crossover technique,

putting one arm in front of the other.

That saves so much time.

Travis Rosen never had a chance to catch him.

-So Geoff Britten takes the first heat.

Now to find out who he'll be squaring off against

in the finals, it's time for

Brian Arnold versus Jessie Graff.

-Let's go, Brian!

-Brian Arnold is a five-time veteran from Brighton, Colorado,

with a lot of rock climbing experience.

And of course, Jessie Graff,

a stuntwoman from Calabasas, California,

who's gone farther in "Ninja" competition

than any woman in history.

And here we go.

Brian Arnold a little taller at 5'11".

Jessie Graff coming in at 5'8".

-And let me tell you, I've trained with Jessie Graff.

I know how fast she can move. Speed is gonna be crucial here.

We saw how fast Geoff Britten went up there.

And look at this Thunderbolt, Matt.

This thing is a roller coaster of emotion.

-And Jessie Graff, look at her go!

Brian Arnold has about a five-foot lead right now.

-You see Brian just going steady here now.

He's keeping a steady pace.

-Slow and steady progress.

A member of "The Wolf Pack."

You know he's got the climbing skills.

And the rock climber's pulling away!

-Jessie's got to get going here. He's moving it.

-Well, Brian Arnold looks like he's gonna get it.

-He's got it!

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Oh, oh, oh!

-Oh!

-A great match up.

But it's Brian Arnold who's moving on to the finals.

-Well, Brian Arnold just used short movements,

only moving up one hole at a time, and keeping his what?

L's, and that steady approach paid off.

-So now Arnold and Britten will face off in the final heat.

The winner will become our first ever

Thunderbolt peg board champion.

[ Cheers and applause ]

This is gonna be a battle

to see who will dominate the Thunderbolt.

And they're off! -All right, Matt,

this is gonna come down to speed and precision.

-A little mis-step out of Britten.

Both these two known for their prodigious upper body strength.

-They got the strength, we know that.

Now you got to handcuff lightning

and throw thunder here on the Thunderbolt.

-And Britten seems to be doing it.

Look at that crossover grab.

-He is moving with some speed right there, Matt.

-Oh, my goodness! He's moving faster than the first heat.

-He's gonna get a ticket going that fast!

Are you kidding me?

-And look at this!

-Even faster than his first heat!

Geoff Britten adds another title to his résumé.

The first American Ninja Warrior

is now the champion on the Thunderbolt!

-And don't forget, Britten's got talent.

He used that crossover technique once again.

And look at his face.

He was not gonna be denied on this obstacle tonight.

-And right now, he's with Kristine Leahy.

-Geoff, you had a disappointing end to the regular season.

Does this help ease the pain a little bit?

-Absolutely. That was really fun.

It plays to my strengths, and it felt great

to come back and win something.

-Well, you won this, as well.

Here is your medal, Geoff. Congratulations.

-Thank you, thank you. -Matt?

-So there you have it.

Geoff Britten the winner of the Thunderbolt competition.

The Striding Steps - American Ninja Warrior: All Stars 2017 (Digital Exclusive) - Duration: 7:56.

-Welcome to Las Vegas

and the "American Ninja Warrior" All Star Special.

Right now, we're debuting a new skills competition --

the Striding Steps.

"American Ninja Warrior" tests

every element of your physical abilities --

your strength, your endurance, your agility.

Well, here at the Striding Steps,

we're gonna test all of them.

But Akbar, mostly, we're gonna focus on speed.

-Our athletes will have to run out and back

across the 9 small steps spaced 5 1/2 feet apart.

And at the end, they'll climb a rope to reach the buzzer.

Ladies and gentlemen, let's give it up

for our athletes tackling the Striding Steps --

mighty Kacy Catanzaro...

Jake Murray...

Thomas Stillings...

and starting things off, the great Daniel Gil!

Now, everyone will run the obstacle once,

and the two athletes with the fastest times

will then face off for the title.

-And we know Gil's coming off of a big year.

One of only two people to make it to Stage 3.

And look, he was the fastest finisher

in the Oklahoma City finals, so he should do well.

-Here we go.

First run on the Striding Steps.

Wow.

Bounding out. Now the return.

-I see you, Daniel Gil.

-Nine steps. About 50 more feet.

Oh, my goodness! -Whoo-hoo-hoo!

That speed right there!

-Daniel delivers a blazingly fast first run.

He just covered over 100 feet in just over 13 seconds.

-Here's where Gil saved a lot of time.

On the swing back, he lands perfectly

and goes right into a sprint,

and he hits the buzzer in less than 14 seconds.

That's gonna be a tough one to beat.

[ Cheers and applause ]

-Again, the two fastest in this first round

will face off in the finals.

Right now, it's another guy who's quick -- Jake Murray.

He had the top time on Stage 1 in the national finals.

-He loves to go fast. I want to see him do it.

-Uh-oh. -Uh-oh.

-He's striking a pose here.

-Murray time! -Whoo!

-Jake Murray, a bit of a showman.

But as we've seen, he delivers.

-Come on, Jake!

-Oh, man. We saw him strike that pose.

I want to see him run fast here on the catwalk.

-Uh-oh! A little uneven!

Used that rope to save it there.

-Gather yourself.

-A little hesitation, Akbar.

-Oh! -Oh!

-You see him hit the lean right there.

Hit the lean.

-He went in with the dead fish there.

He goes out in typical Jake Murray fashion.

-Look, he was wobbly from the very start,

leaning to the left.

And then look at this --

when Jake Murray goes out, it's a show.

He does a little planking as he hits the water.

-The top 2 move on to the final heat,

so Murray's fall opens the door for our next competitor,

Kacy Catanzaro.

The former gymnast was the first woman up the Warped Wall

and still the only woman ever to finish a city finals course.

She's always a crowd favorite.

-Having a gymnastics background is definitely gonna be

a huge advantage on this obstacle

because speed, balance, and agility are all my forte,

so I really think I have a good shot

at getting the fastest time.

-Come on, Kacy! -Here we go.

This is 5 1/2 feet between each step,

so she's really gonna have to stretch it out.

-And here we go with the gymnast.

Her balance is legendary.

-That technique is -- -Locked in!

-She is a smooth operator.

-She is moving!

Good transition. Building up momentum now.

Oh, my goodness! -You go, girl!

On the rope,

and she is gonna hit the buzzer!

Oh, my! -That was good.

-Mighty Kacy Catanzaro getting her time!

-I can't even front right there.

High-key, that was smooth.

-She's now got the second-fastest time.

At 17 seconds, she could very well be moving on

to the final round of this skills challenge.

-Can you imagine?

She's by far the shortest competitor.

She's 5 feet tall.

Those gaps are 5 1/2.

Yet look at her striding out on each step.

If she moves on against these, that would be something.

-So that puts the pressure

on our last runner, Thomas Stillings.

He has to finish faster than Kacy's 17 seconds

if he wants to advance.

And he is capable.

He was the fastest in the Oklahoma City qualifying.

A lot at stake here.

-Oh, he's backing up. Back that thang up!

-A genie ninja out there. -Ooh!

More Predictions For 2017 And Beyond - Duration: 12:24.

More Predictions For 2017 And Beyond.

by Tom T. Moore, Guest writer, In5D.com

Here are more predictions given to me by Gaia, soul of the Earth and my Guardian Angel Theo,

as Im a self-trained telepath. These questions were sent to me from all over the world on

a wide variety of subjects as youll read.

Theo, what is the probability of a private space company, such as SpaceX landing on Mars,

before NASA does in the next six years?

Tom, there is a very small probability that this will occur. Go with the 25-year period

that has been quoted in the past. These private space companies have not even sent their own

Mars rovers and such instruments there yet. There has to be a basis of being able to fly

several people to Mars, and then a landing and takeoff have to be accomplished, not to

mention the length of the voyage, along with the large amount of supplies that must be

taken along. Brash claims of being able to safely travel to and from Mars are just thatpublic

relations to manipulate the stock. These are, after all, businessmen.

Gaia, how far will plans proceed on building a wall on the U.S. Border?

They are just thatplansand have a low probability of being fully implemented, Tom.

Yes, there will be more walls built, but these things take time and there will come other

priorities and a softening of the Trump regimes relationship, we will call it, towards Mexico.

There will be fierce opposition as you can imagine, and work will come to a halt. The

wall will become a Trumpismused in political cartoons and such to mock his Presidency.

But again, there will be more wall added to the border, but not completed according to

President Trumps promise.

Gaia, will both Bill and Hillary Clinton continue their service to this country and the world

and if so what will they do?

Yes, both will continue to work globally and at times in opposition to Mr. Trump. The strain

of having been President of the U.SA will cause Bill to slow down, but still making

appearances as part of the Clinton Foundation to achieve a lasting legacy of accomplishment;

Hillary will champion womens rights globally and will make great inroads in this capacity

in the coming years. She will also appear to promote candidates in the next few rounds

of elections, especially in those campaigns for women.

Theo, what is the probability of Scientology fading way within the next ten years?

The probability at this time would be quite smallcertainly under 20 percent. It will

diminish in size and influence, but there are those who still are attracted to their

core beliefs.

Gaia, what is the probability of losing Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid?

The probability is that the age one can start receiving social security payments will be

upped. Medicare will have changes as the price of medicines will be more regulated. You have

yet to write that future, but it is starting to take shape. Big pharmaceuticals will start

to be regulated, although that will be a huge fight as they resist. Medicaid will remain.

And, yes, keep in mind that many cures for diseases are right around the corner, so there

will be fewer sick people.

Gaia, what is the probability that the President, and/or the U.S. Congress will gut the Environmental

Protection Agency?

Fairly low at this time, Tom. There will be such an uproar by not only the people, but

by other countries, and yes, their people too, that they will back off that idea. Yes,

ground will be lost as the GOP loosens the environmental regulations, but these rules

will tighten again in the future, as they see the air quality and water quality dip.

Yes, the old saying that some people have to learn the hard way is correct.

What is the probability of banning glyphosate (Roundup is a common brand name) in the next

two years?

Very small, just for the reasons stated above. But if you move the time period to five years

there will be a good chanceover 50% that it will be banned. Pressure has to come from

masses of people demanding better living conditions, and banning this will be seen as the right

thing to do. You can always speed up the process through benevolent prayers.

Here is a Benevolent Prayer (BP) to say OUT LOUD [scientists have yet to discover the

power of the spoken word when said together]: I ask any and all beings to assist in the

most benevolent way to clean our environment of all pollutants, including banning the use

of glyphosate, and may this occur even faster than we can hope for or expect, thank you!

Gaia, what is the probability of a stock market crash in the next four years?

No truth whatsoever, Tom. The naysayers crop up every few months to preach their own message

and sell books or speaking fees. Yes, the market will go up, and yes, there will be

adjustments, and some more severe than others depending upon world events, but there will

be no crash.

Will there be any type of crash of money markets?

Again, there will be none.

Gaia, can crystals at home be charged using commonly available resources?

Yes, and no. Another one of those answers, Tom. The resources are commonly available,

but how they would be utilized has to be rediscovered from ancient Atlantean times. In modern times

people have resisted on a subconscious level, as we have spoken about before, due to fear

of repeating their misuse. That will never happen again. Soon there will be those who

rediscover this free energy and this will change the world, bringing energy to remote

villages that have no electricity or running water.

Will crystal power be rediscovered by a science lab or independent researcher, and what is

the probability of that rediscovery being made in 2017?

It will be an independent researcher, Tom, but it will not be rediscovered this yearthat

is the highest probability. But if you ask about the next five years the probability

is strongin the 70 percentilethat the person will rediscover crystal power. It might

be even a little faster if all your followers say a Benevolent Prayer that it will happen

sooner than later.

And yes, the energy the Lemurians used will also be rediscovered, but it will take much

longer as no one is searching for that energy, and it will be rediscovered by accident.

Gaia, what is the probability of a major hurricane hitting Hawaii, including Kauai, in the next

five years?

Yes, Tom, as I increase the number of storms across the planet there will be a couple of

hurricanes that certainly will pass by Hawaii, although none will strike Kauai directly dead

center. But farther out to 10 years, yes, there will be one that also as it passes by

will come very close to Kauai.

What about any tsunamis in the next five or ten years?

Here there is a much higher probability of this occurring in the next ten years as, by

then, Japan will have had the next major earthquake and tsunami, as well as the west coast of

North America. I do not wish to narrow it down at this time, but it is within the 10-year

time frame. I will not say it will occur in any shorter time for the moment.

Gaia, you said there was a low probability of Mt. Vesuvius erupting in the next five

years. What about Campi Flegrei, and is it connected to Mt. Vesuvius?

Yes it is connected to Mt. Vesuvius Tom, that is a given. And yes I am adding to the caldron

there at the present time, which is causing the seismographs to be jumping, but again,

the probability of this volcano erupting in the next five years, along with Mt. Vesuvius

is low. But as we have covered the probabilities for Vesuvius for 10 years, so yes you can

add in Campi Flegrei. Both will be highly destructive. I am giving fair warning time

that this area will be beset by lava flows again.

This will accomplish a number of things for me, but also for the souls who inhabit that

area and need that for their list of Earth experiences. So to summarize yes there will

be continued rumblings in that area telling the residents that those volcanoes are awakening

again, but nothing major will happen in the next five years.

Theo, what is the highest probability for how many more years of strife will there be

in Turkey and Syria?

The highest probability would be over 50 years. To use an old saying, Rome was not built in

a day, and there must be a change in attitudes.

Lets say this Benevolent Prayer (BP) out loud: I ask any and all beings to bring

peace to Turkey and Syria, and may this happen even faster than we can hope for or expect,

thank you!

Gaia, is the probability of a large earthquake affecting the West Coast still high for the

future or is it a low probability now?

It is still a large probability for the future, Tom. The pressure on the continental plates

continues to increase, and it is simply a matter of time until there will be an adjustment.

Then would the probability be highest in the next five years, 10 years or farther out at

this time?

There is a strong probability in the next five years and even stronger during the next

10 years. Again, I must remind you that I consult with your souls before I make these

large movements. We dont just decide one day to have an earthquake; it is done with

the knowledge and permission of your souls who would need an earthquake as part of their

bucket list of experiences.

Yes, I am using your terminology, but the bottom line is, the earthquake in Californiaand

understand it would not just be one, but thousands when you take into consideration the aftershocks

as they are called by your geologistsis still a high probability during the next few

years. I am not ready to give you a specific time line yet, but will do so in time for

those of your readers who live in this area to evacuate.

Gaia, what is the highest probability for Thailand to become a democratic country in

the next five years?

Yes, it will be a little longer than that, but not 10 as was the next figure on your

list. More on the order of seven to eight years depending upon certain events.

Theo, what is the probability of the Russian Disclosure on ET contacts in the next three

months?

Fairly high, Tom, but not a done deal shall we say. Still more than 70%, but not

yet 80%. There are still some actions to be taken on the upper time lines that will impact

this time line and that has not yet happened. And here we might add on to what Gaia said

about probabilities. They are not only affected by what is happening on your time line, but

what is occurring on the other time lines both higher and lower than yours.

[Gaia was referring to the 12 parallel worlds or time lines I have chapters about

in my FIRST CONTACT: Conversations with an ET and ATLANTIS & LEMURIA: The Lost

Continents Revealed!
