Waching daily Feb 23 2017

Yes well, hello and welcome to the art gallery

I'm Mr. Sophistication,

and we are going to be setting up

for a party this evening.

These have to be laid out right here.

So let's say I'm putting this one this way,

and that one faces that.

-That's great.

-Facing this one?

Yeah.

That's on display.

The stuff out in the hall

is on display,

and --

Well, you know what might be better, I'm thinking --

Let me put this near it, so they can -- Oh.

Oh, that's too --

Yeah, you probably need an extension cord

-somewhere.

-Right.

Oh, what kind of cheeses are over there?

-Cheeses?

-Yeah, what cheeses are those?

Do you --

Isn't there a thing where you can make,

like, a cheese battery?

It looks -- Jack, pepper jack.

-Pepper jack? -Yeah. [ Chuckles ]

Yeah, I don't know

what that is.

Uh, which one of those is, like, the sharpest cheese?

Sharp?

I would probably say pepper jack.

-This one?

-Yeah, that's the one

I would probably say.

-I'll just check it. -Yeah.

-A little metal, right?

-Mm-hmm.

I forget. With it -- Do you have to rub it to --

Oh! Look at that.

DerMicha Episode 5 - Boro School of Glass - Duration: 16:20.

Hello dear cannafine Audience

My Name is Michael and today we're heading to Seattle zur Boro School

of Glass. Lead back and enjoy.

So, we settled a little in Seattle and are well medicated and more chill now.

We thought we would take a trip to Boro School of Glas Art.

Here they produce great high end Bubbler, small Bongs to inhale extracts.

Great glass artists work here and even teach others.

We just wanted to see what exactly they are doing here

and we are just going to raid them now, they have no idea we are coming.

But from experience we can say they are all very welcoming and open

expecially because Cannabis is legal here.

And we are hoping to get a little tour, so let us go inside.

Hello. Hi! How can i help you?

Hi. My name is Michael and i am coming

from Germany. I've heard you make nice

glass art here.

Yeah let me show you around Michael. Come on.

In our Glass-Showroom we've got stuff from

artist all around the world and people

who work here in our studio mostly.

They travel, they come work in our studio.

They make these great pieces and...

check out what we got.

Yeah so, at the Boro School we teach pipemaking

classes, we teach jewelry making and vessels, beads,

pretty much anything that you can

make on a torch we can teach you how to make.

One can find you on the internet of course. Where can we find you?

So, our website is www.theboroschool.com

and that's where you can find Information on all of our classes

here at the studio.

Yes people, If you want to become a glas blower just check out this website

and if you have time and want to fly to Seattle you can learn how to blow your own bong.

Awsome isn't it?

Thank you very much.

That's amazing

J.D. is back there. He's one of our instructors

and Mr. Gray is another instructor in the class.

And he is somewhere out there.

May i have a look at this piece maybe?

In Germany this just started, you know.

... the high-end-glass.

Dabbing is just coming up in Germany.

Butter, shatter, oil, Bhutan extraction, you know

all the things... That's all kinda new.

People know about but they are not so professional.

So all the dabbing-things are not so popular but they are becoming more and more.

The Boro School of Glass luckily provided us with a chill spot to take a break

and have a smoke, just like Berlin, it is great.

We are watching Mr. Grey at work. He is in the middle of a lesson

all his pupils are listening and he explains how to build a pipe.

He's one of the two instructors around here.

Mr Grey is known to build his pipes looking like buds.

He's making pipes shaped like Flowers and buds

He has to medicate himself during the glas blowing, he needs his inspiration.

This is a Set that i made with Darby Holm

There's a lot of leaves in my work

and i call it "nuggetry" this type of work.

And this is a functional piece

There is the downstem.

Waters goes in here and the banger come up there.

This one is non-functional

There is a stand that goes with them.

Just a ganja-pipe

How long are you doing the art?

I've been blowing glass for about 16 years, 17 years now.

It's function for passion, you know and for purpose but...

Can we find your work on the internet?

Instagram: @mrgrayglass

gray with an "A"

I'm really impressed.- Thank you, i appreciate that.

Thanks a lot for introducing us to your art and your work, really.

Thanks for coming up.

Here the glass is beeing hardened out. I learned that at Roor.

You also have a brand called "Boro Glass?"

There is "Boro Farms Glass"

This is J.D.

I started blowing glass about 15 years ago. I just started off in my

garage and work my way up so now we have

bigger studios and stuff. It's a lot of fun.

People know you from Spannabis?

You have been there this year?

Yeah i went to expogrow last year and

then I went to Spannabis this year and

the European Flame-off. My friend Lars

runs the European flame off they do

glassblowing competitions with all the pipe

makers of Europe from russia, switzerland, spain...

I've got a friend who, my audience also know him,

he's called "VanHazeing"

He's kind of our teacher about glass art,

because in Germany we don't know as much

about it as you do.

How comes your far advanced here? In the States.

Because it started here. Glass-pipes started in

Eugene Oregon. Bob Snodgrass was

the guy who exposed everybody to the glass

pipe. He blew glass pipes on a Grateful

Dead tour. He discovered how to make fuming,

which is color changing when your

pipe changes colors

And he taught people and so from Eugene

Oregon that's where the glass pipe

movement started and it's gone all over the

countries, to Japan, now to Europe, so

lifestyle, the dab-culture is what's really

bringing this art to a lot of people.

Because not everyone understands smoking

flowers through glass, through bongs cause they smoke

spliffs. The first glass pipes were really made just

to taste weed. You know, they were made to smoke weed better.

Oil culture it's brought the glass into

play cause you can't smoke oil without

glass. The dab culture with the oil has

really been able to open up the market

to Canada, to Europe. Now people are

interested in the glass because they

have something to use with the oil. It's the

good ones.

I don't know if you'd like do dab right

now but i have some if you'd like to kick it out.

After you tell me about your creations.

I made this one all by myself

this design is a wormhole.

The function of it is we put a quartz

banger in it. It's made by Quave Club Banger.

Th dab and the smoke travel through

the whole pipe and then it bubbles up the

bottom

And the reclaim, the resin

gets caught here and it keeps your water cleaner

You can change your water without

getting the resin inside your water. So it makes

for tastier hits. Like with this one... This one has

water in. You can kind of see

it has just like nice slow will pull on it.

This one has like some opals in it if you wanna pull.

It's got a nice airflow.

How long does it take you to make such a piece?

It took a really long time to learn.

Something like this takes me

three to four days.

This right here with for the

terpenes for the flavor so if you take

after you heat this up and you let it

cool down so it's a lower temperature

when you take your dab to get more of

the terpenes more of the flavor and this is to

help catch that you can put it on there and

when you turn it it will direct the air

flow with this hole will push the oil

around to the hottest point of the nail.

Even in the smallest there is science there.

Because if you take dab too hot it

kicks the flavor away and it hurts your

lungs. If your nail is at the right

temperature: delicious you get all the

terpenes and all the flavor of the weed.

So as an expert, i've seen in germany there are

very different kinds of nails. Which

one would you recommend? Is there the best

nail or...? - I like the banger like

this. This design, because it allows you

to heat the quartz up away from the glass

We'll keep this up we'll time it for

fifty seconds. After 15 seconds you

take your dab and it's very delicious hit.

And then you clean it, reheat it and that's the

next person. So there's a whole process

of the dab. So you are nothing only

creating a glass art culture, you're also creating a

cannabis dabbing culture here. - Yes. They go

hand in hand. Without the

glass culture there wouldn't be the dab

culture. Without the dab culture we wouldn't

have the glass culture. So they go

hand-in-hand. I sm oke a lot so

you know I make it, I try it I don't

like it, I remake it. You know, it's a lot

of trial and error. Lots of research

and development. So many variations if

you can do it to make it smoke differently.

I really bewonder that because

i always try to teach our german audience

bong culture.

Yes. - But this is really high-end bong culture.

This is the, like this way

of smoking these people who are definitely

more of the elite smokers you know?

It's not the piece for everybody. Like this one

right here will sale for 9,000$.

I have three pieces out of everything i made

this year available and that's it.

It's pretty insane, the way the dab culture is in america.

I sold a bong for 18.000$

this year

If you want to try some,

with a slow-tip dab, like i

was telling you, i can put some water in this

new one and I got a brand new banger

so you could time it out and you

can experience it the best way that we have.

I'd be delighted.

Excellent.

You can't get good extracts in Germany, or only very rarely.

Now I'm allowed to try.

Bruce Banner is the name

of the strain. So we get the timer going.

Everybody's phone has a timer.

Stopwatch, reset...

I'm going to heat this up up you get the

full experience of the low turned dab.

Did you ever burn yourself? Since you're a glass blower?

Every other day....

So you're used to it? Kind of?

You never used to burning. It always hurts.

55 seconds yeah we're gonna wait 55

seconds. It's a little hot.

You're going to waste it if you hit it too soon. You're going to

take away all the flavors all the

medicinal property of this. But if you wait

the time and you take it at a low temperature

when it's supposed to be hit

It's going to be nicer on

your lungs, it's gonna taste better you're going

to get more of the medicinal properties of it.

...3....4.... Go.

First hit of of it. - Whow. Very medicating very

impressive thank you very much. Thank you

so much for stopping by and saying hi Michael.

It's really good to have you.Have a

safe travel over here in the US.

Thank you for hosting me here so nice.

... explaining me really everything I'm

really impressed about your dabbing

culture and.... Can people find your glass art

in the internet? Yes it's:

jdmaplestonglass.com

Hopefully in January will

be having it online. The name of the film

is called Vagabongs - American pipe dream

is about the American pipe culture and

how we make pipes to travel around and

teach each other how to make cool stuff so....

The trailer is up on the website so

make sure to go check it out and

hopefully we'll be able to have it out

by january with german subtitles and

everything.

Check out the video. It's really cool i

just watched it. It's a real cool video. Vagabongs

Its about glass-blowing around the world.

I was impressed.

Nice production and....

Okay, that's the sign to leave.

You have to work.

Thank you very much.

You guys have safe travels.

Thank you and much success. Bye-bye.

Very nice, wasn't it? Very different from what we have in German Pharmacies.

Too bad we don't have proper extracts yet.

In this context i'd like to know: What do you think of dabbing in general?

What's your dabbing experience, your opinion on dabbing-pipes?

What's the best one? Whats the best nail?

I'd like to know all of that from you guys.

Next time we're heading to Portland, Oregon. Cannabis is legal there as well.

Thats where we first have our RV that we've rented in Seattle.

It'll be a great episode.

And please don't forget to like, share and subscribe cause we got a message but we need you to spread it.

And before i leave you for today i'd like to answer a viewers question.

He's a cannabis patient and paraplegic and he asked:

If his indication is to be considered possible for medical cannabis.

I'm not a doctor, but i can say that there are quite a few paraplegics in germany that already use medical cannabis.

Against their spasms and their posttraumatic pain.

There is good evidence for that.

If you haven't tried it yet you might consider being a bit carefull in the beginning.

All that is to be explained by the doctor.

But his second question was: Will he stay mobile?

Can he keep his drivers license?

Thats being managed very differently by the different DMVs all over germany

That solely depends on the person in charge.

There are cannabis-patients that can continue driving,

there are some that have to take part in another test,

there are some that had their drivers license revoked due to their medication.

We hope and we work for a change there. For a distinct legal ordinance.

Right now i can't say anything more specific.

In this Spirit i wish y'all a very nice weekend. Don't overdo it.

See you next time.

ARE PRICES TOO HIGH?! - Duration: 3:13.

Whatsup guys my name is Ivan Ferjo and I decided to make this video because some of you are

unsatisfied with prices on new fitness gymwear e-shop.

Okay so as you know, yesterday we opened new fitness gymwear e-shop.

firstly I would like to thank you everybody for all support, for all likes on facebook,

on instagram.

It means a lot for me, because I worked really hard on this project...

And I am really really happy because yesterday was only first day of our e-shop,

and we already had several orders..

So yesterday was amazing day

And we can say that our bestsellers are definitely muscles leggings..I

You buy them the most

I am just very happy and I hope that it will continue like this

And why I decided to make this video?

Because some of you yesterday wrote me that the prices for t-shirts and stringers are too high.

Well maybe you are right but, you dont realize few things.. let me explain it to you how it works.

So firtly it's very hard to find quality and cheap producer..

Either you can find cheap producter with shit quality, and either you can find expensive

producer with good quality.

So we just cant combinate good quality with cheap price

Its just impossible today

And I decided to make BERIPPED quality brand, with good products and no chinese shits

But producer is not only one thing you pay for.

If you want to start new company, you have to register it.

And for it you also pay money.

But also you have to pay for shipping, duty, taxes, freight forwarding,

and bank fees

There is lot of things to pay for

It is not easy as it seems to be.

So for example - producer makes you one t-shirt for 8 euros, but in overall with taxes and

other things it will cost you twice more..And also you want to

make some money from it, you don't want to do it for free...

So guys really you have to understand me, its not easy to make quality

and cheap brand

But because we want adapt all your requirements, we decided to lower prices for hoodies, stringers

and t-shirst.

So since now hoodie costs 30euros, stringer costs only 15 euros and t-shirt costs 17 euros.

So I think it is good now

Okay guys so if you like this video please give me like, share subscribe..Also you can

follow me on my facebook fanpage, instagram, snapchat..If you want

to buy finess gym wear you can visit website www.be-ripped.com..and if you are

interested in personal trainings you can visit my website www.ivanferjo.com .. So bye

Our Funniest Disability Story ft.Tommy Edison - Duration: 6:28.

Andrea: Hi everyone! So today I thought I'd do a

pretty relax sit down video with my friend Tommy.

Tommy: Hello there.

Andrea: Hi

Tommy do you want to introduce yourself to everyone?

Tommy: Sure! I'm Tommy Edison from the

Tommy Edison XP channel.

And I talk about my life as a blind person.

And I answer viewer questions

about the blind experience.

Ranging from anything, like how I know if I'm

awake or not.

To even how I use a smart phone or a computer.

Andrea: So today, I thought we'd talk about

our funniest stories we've encountered with our disabilities.

Tommy: (laughs)

Andrea: So, would you like to start?

Tommy: I will, I'll start the proceedings here.

I was on the train one time,

in Connecticut going down to Manhattan.

And I was using my phone.

Now when I use my cell phone,

I keep the screen curtain on.

So that..I don't want people to see what I'm doing right?

It's none of their business.

Um, and I've had phones on.

And all of a sudden,

I feel this woman tugging on my phone

and taking it away from me and I said

"Woah, what are you doing?"

She's like "Your phone is broken" and I said

"It is not broken."

She said "Well the screen, I can't see anything

on your screen."

And I said "Yeah I know, that's so you can't look at it."

(Tommy and Andrea laugh)

Tommy: It was very strange, she literally

was grabbing the phone out of my hand to try and fix my phone for me.

Andrea: You should of said when she's like "Oh

I couldn't see your phone"

"Like I can't see it either!"

(Tommy laughs)

Tommy: It'll happen again, trust me.

What about you? Tell me a funny story about uh..

what's happen with your disability?

Andrea: So

when I was little, I think it

I think it was middle school. My friend and I

where she lived in her apartment complex, across the street was

like a store that was just built but there was no

security cameras around it.

So we found the ladder to get on the roof,

(Tommy inhales)

Andrea: And so we brought food, we had a picnic.

It was great.

And then as we came back downstairs

and we're crossing the street back to her apartment.

My friend looked down,

and noticed my foot was bleeding.

And for those who don't know, I have nerve damage in my feet.

I can't feel anything.

And she started freaking out.

She was just like "Andrea your foot is bleeding

Are you okay? What are we going to do?"

(Tommy laughs)

Andrea: And I just looked down and I went

Oh.

okay.

I guess we can just clean it.

But I was so calm and just

I thought it was hilarious. She was more concerned than I was.

Tommy: Now was it a giant wound?

I mean like it didn't require stitches or anything right?

It was just a bit of a scratch right?

Andrea: I mean it healed on it's own, I never told my mom.

I kind of just like, hid it from her and

I got the bleeding to stop...it...it

bled a lot, there was a trail on the street.

Tommy: Wow

Andrea: So

but that, my feet getting hurt is such a normal

thing for me that I like

I forget that a person that can feel their feet

a reaction is to freak out.

When you get hurt.

And I'm just like "oh

just the day in the life!"

Tommy: That's all. Just clean it up and move on right?

Andrea: Yeah.

Tommy: So when I was in high school, I went away to school.

I went to boarding school, not because

it wasn't a school for the blind or any kind of thing like that.

I was just a lousy student so.

Andrea: Awww

Tommy: My parents were like "You wanna go to boarding school kid?"

I was like "Yeah sure let's go."

So I went to boarding school and I was away.

You know, I lived at school.

So I'll never forget (laughs)

I think it was the first or second time I came home for the weekend.

Um, I walked in the house

and walked into the living room.

And the furniture was completely different.

My mother rearranged the furniture and forgot to tell me.

(Tommy and Andrea laugh)

Tommy: Right? So it was really weird but

you know there's a really sweet part of that story too

and that is, you know what

that's how normal everything is.

I mean she didn't even think she had to tell me,

You know what I mean?

Andrea: Mhm

Tommy: Um so it's very cool. I like how that all worked out.

Tommy: (laughs) Now it's just a very funny story.

Andrea: If my mom took me home and everything was moved,

and I didn't know,

I'd be like "You're giving me to a new family?"

Tommy: (laughs)

Andrea: Is this what's happening? You're getting rid of me?

(Tommy continues to laugh)

Andrea: You don't love me anymore!?

Tommy: Well I was like "You like having me away"

Very good.

Andrea: I think I'll share my last one.

It's not really from my perspective, I only remember a little bit.

But my mom...she told me this story.

Um, I was in the hospital and I had to get a pickline.

Which is kind of like an IV

but it's a more painful process.

I was freaking out, I was having a panic attack.

They gave me medicine to know me out

but since I was already freaking out, it didn't work right away.

And the nurse, bless his heart, tried

to like become friends with me.

To make the process easier.

He found out my mom worked at ROSS at the time.

And he was like "Oh I love shopping at ROSS."

And then right when he finished, I was so angry

that I was like "You're never allowed at ROSS ever again!"

And then I passed out right after I said that.

Like my mom said it was like a movie moment.

I was...apparently, I was 10 I think.

And I was so angry at this guy,

that I banned him from ROSS.

And I have no authority over that place.

Tommy: Well listen, he's probably never gone back since.

Andrea: I hope he thinks about me though if he does go.

Tommy: He thinks about you in VONS or Ralph's.

(Tommy and Andrea laugh)

These are LA jokes, so you have to be from out here to know all these.

Andrea: Yeah except none of that exists in Florida.

So...that's where I grew up.

Tommy: Oh well see, and I thought it was an LA joke.

Andrea 1, Tommy nothing.

Andrea: Well speaking of that...of a point system.

If you want to see, Tommy and I actually compete

go to his channel after you're (car honks) done watching this...

rude. So rude!

Tommy: Listen, they thought you were going to say something dirty, that's all.

Andrea: Fair, absolutely fair!

Andrea: If you want to go to Tommy's channel and

watch the video we filmed where we compete

on the blind vs. blind folded game?

Go do that, because it's fun and there's a lot more jokes from us there.

Tommy: Yeah it's a great time and it's a fun game.

I think it's something fun you know, maybe you can play with your friends.

Like this could be the new party game of the summer, who knows!

Well thanks so much for having me on your channel.

It's been great fun telling these little stories.

Andrea: I know, thank you for coming!

And I like how even though we have such different disabilities,

we still find humor in it.

And have these funny stories from our childhood.

Tommy: Of course, hey listen, this is our normal.

This is what I always talk about. It's my normal it's your normal.

And it's something that we live with every day,

you know what if we can't laugh about it, who can right?

Andrea: Exactly.

Thank you for coming, thank you everyone for watching.

Go over to Tommy's channel, subscribe.

If you want,

funny videos

and we will see you next time.

bye!

so let's go on out here and let's run it

down roam it like we own it

break it down brandon very good alright

good

hey we're out here we're out here in the

outfield you see all this green area

right out here but we want to make sure

that we can patrol is I have a little

saying out here we roam it like we own

it and if it green out here green and

white do not meet if it's in the air we

make the catch as an outfielder so

that's the mentality we want to create

so now when we start talking about

becoming a good outfielder Andy has talked

about some of the techniques in the

infield he's talked about the ready

position

well outfielders have to be ready also

but as an outfield we have a whole lot

more time than an infielder per se so

when we go to step up and get ready

alright we want to make sure that we're

nice and tall some of the infield

positions you get a little bit lower

alright but we don't need to do that in

the outfield we have plenty of time to

see a ground ball come to us but we need

to make sure that we're ready when a

pitcher gets somewhere right up in here

our outfielders we need to step up and be

ready to go

some guys like just how their hands on

your knees and just take them off and

the're ready

if you own the corners what I suggest

when you step up when that pitcher gets

right here

you don't want to track the ball you

want to look right in there at the

hitter and that's where we're gonna get

our best jumps so on the corners

remember once you step up pitcher gets

right here we're looking to see that ball

react off the batters bat alright

so now I want you guys to show me a good

step up position all they're gonna do is

just mimic like a pitcher is up here once

I'm a pitcher here you guys go to see

step up and ready position TC again

after a field we don't have to be as

wide I he likes a wide base but I don't

want you guys get to wide then were not

able to move might want to narrow that

up just a little bit

step up here we're ready to go alright

so that's the ready position now what we

want to talk about the ground balls

three basic ways to fill the ground ball

on the ground ball is hit nobody on base

a sure way of keeping the ball in front

is down on the knee you guys go with me

if I'm a right-hander is my right knee

left hand it's my left knee the ball is coming

drop down right here onto a knee nice and wide

I have a good base of it takes a bad hop

we can keep the ball in front of some of

you guys not fortunate to play on grass

this nice alright you play some rougher

fields

this is a good way to make sure we keep

it in front the second way is just like

we're shortstop boy shortstop or second

baseman now we come down boy feet about

little wider than shoulder-width apart

if this foot is slightly back or even

that's fine because we have plenty of

time as an outfielder

alright so hands right out front we're

ready to receive it we come up and we're

ready to throw the last way is when

somebody's on base and we want to try to

throw them out as we start to approach

the ball would take good cat steps we

come up here is left foot extend the

hand out right here

I as we catch the ball then we bring it

up crow hop and we proceeded to throw

also another way that we can do that you

can actually with the other foot I know

a lot of people don't teach this but in

the upper levels if you want some of the

footwork

this is the way they start to approach

the ball they come up walk with me guys this

right foot is right here left foot

because it gives me a little more

freedom now once I field this ball

boom I can immediately go into a crow hop and

get rid of the ball

that's the basic three ways that we feel

the ground ball we want to make sure it

was stepping up getting ready as we move

on we start to show you more and more

better outfielder

Mateusz Jagiełło - All Over Again (feat. Marcelina Olak) - Duration: 6:46.

Oh God

I cannot sleep tonight

With crushing recent memory

Rushing through my mind

Demise

How much I want to drown with you

If only I could turn back time

And be with you once again

Do it all

Do it all over again

Do it all

Do it all over again

Retreat

Retreat into myself

The more I seek your silhouette

The more astray I am

My life

With your reflection fades away

If only I could turn back time

And fall for you once again

Do it all

Do it all over again

Do it all

Do it all over again

Do it all

Do it all

Do it all

Do it all over again

Do it all

Do it all over again

TEASER - Breaking Down Your Screenplay - Duration: 0:49.

I read a script four times

before I ever even think about a note.

And then you start to share that vision

with the director

systematically going through every line

and trying to start to communicate with your director

so you can start to see

what's really resonating in his or her head.

You're trying to find that emotion of the story

and it's so much about

communicating your vision

to everyone.

All the departments have to come together

and it's your job to unite

and educate them

on the whole plan and process.

Dropping Hundreds Of Guns In The Black Neighborhoods - Duration: 11:55.

Ex-Gang Member From Chicago Exposes The Government, Says They Are Dropping Hundreds Of Guns In

The Black Neighborhoods In Crates Along With Bullets.

By Cee Cee.

The video of the ex gang member is coming up after these short words.

Stay put.

Ex- gang member from Chicago says they are the victims.

He says the government is dropping crates full of guns in the black community so that

they can lock up certain individuals He claims they have extended Clips, automatic

weapons and guns that you cannot buy in a gun store.

He continuously asks, where are the guns coming from?

He also says they drop off bullets along with the guns.

He says the police continue to take guns off the streets yet the streets are still full

of guns.

He says almost everybody in the hood have a gun and that there is a plot and plan that

is strategically against the black community.

He says they dont have gun license so how are they getting the guns.

He claims he saw with his own eyes where they were putting crates full of guns out there

so they can catch them with the guns and lock them up.

This is a business.

Again he states, there are no gun manufacturers in the inner cities, so where are the guns

coming from?

Here

is

the video.

The Carbonaro Effect - A Freak of Nature - Duration: 3:03.

What we try to do is we want it to be a

a regular ecosphere in which,

you know, things are moving on naturally.

We don't want to intervene too much with what we do

as far as our gardening and as far as feeding,

'cause we do feed the turtles to help.

-Mm-hmm. -And this is the best place here

for the ring-neck mantiquoi,

and we do see a bunch of them out.

-Which is...?

-The ring-neck mantiquoi?

Uh, they're probably our most popular animal

that pops up this time of year.

As you know, it's -- it's a cross between a --

Oh, there's one

right there.

It's a mammal, it's warm-blooded,

but it's also --

It has a lot of characteristics

like a bird.

-Oh.

-And, uh, here.

I can show you on over here.

And you're gonna -- You can hear his little --

[ Tweeting ]

He's making

a little sound there.

-He's adorable. -Oh. Oh, my God.

They're the sweetest little things,

up until 3 years old.

-Oh, my goodness.

-So, if you see one, you know,

you can feel free to, uh, to pick one up...

-That's amazing.

-...as long --

Yeah, it's an adorable, little thing,

but you got to be very careful. The mother will be around them.

-Uh-huh.

-Because they're one

of the only animals that requires the protection

-of the mother for three years. -Wow.

They have no defense mechanism, so...

-Are they birds?

-It's a cross between a bird --

It's a warm-blooded mammal bird.

-Wow. -Yeah. It has

three rows of teeth. They'll all be soft right now,

and it will develop its claws and its poison sacks

probably within the next 7 months.

-That's good for you. -Right.

Oh, but they'll all be -- They're impenetrable to the skin

-until they're 3 years old. -Oh, okay.

-The mother will protect them.

-That is amazing.

-He's just adorable.

-Right.

So, I'm gonna bring him

back deep.

Don't worry about the fathers.

The fath--

The fathers are devoured during the mating process.

Nice. I love them already.

[ Both laugh ]

It's similar to a praying mantis.

It's the only warm-blooded, uh...

[ Loud squawking ]

-Sorry.

-Oh! Are you okay?

No. Fine. Aah! Okay.

I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine.

-Oh, oh, oh. -Okay. Yeah.

They are, um -- They're -- They're protecting,

and that's fine. You know what?

That's why

we keep you on the path.

-Oh. -Um, she got me good.

-[ Chuckles ] -Yeah.

-Oh, my God. -Right. Oh, I'm okay.

Yeah. That's -- It's nature being nature.

That's maternal --

Wait. She just tore you to shreds.

Well, you know, they do that in defense,

you know, in defense of their young.

But she's resting now if you want to look at her.

I don't. I'm good. [ Chuckles ]

Okay, yeah.

I mean, that's the thing about the mantiquoi --

-adorable but vicious. -Yes.

Uh, the young make a very high-pitched sound,

like a "Help," you know, a "Help me now!"

And they'll go for it.

-Can I take a picture of you? -Yeah, sure.

I mean, do you want me to try and get her out?

No! No, no, no.

-You stay away from her.

-Okay, okay.

Yeah. She's made it quite clear she doesn't like you.

That's true. Let's let them, uh...

Oh, my goodness. I cannot believe

she did that to you in 30 seconds.

Right. I mean, this is the picture of a mother's love.

Yeah.

Mega Ship's Bridge Tour - A Closer Look at the Command Center - Duration: 8:56.

Today I will show you the Bridge The command center

The Brain of the vessel

Entering through the stairs, we'll start

off from the Bridge Wing

From here leaning over we can see the side of the ship

It's a critical vantage point for when berthing

or docking The Captain and Harbor Pilot usually stands

around here so that they gauge the position of ship

We have lifebuoys all over the ship two of them are located on each side of the Bridge Wing

They are specially designed with a quick release

mechanism for speedy rescue

Then we've got this barbeque stove looking thingy on both Port and Starboard Bridge wing

it's a remote panel Here you will find controls for the Bow thrusters

indictors for speed, engine rpm, Rate of turn heading, compass, mic & speaker etc

This is a Gyro Repeater for taking bearing of objects or celestial bodies

And this here is an EPIRB short for Emergency Position indicating Radio beacon

It does what its name suggests

it's installed out here in the open space because if the ship ever sinks

it can float up

Firebox and fire hydrants are all over the ship

and it standard to have one each side of the bridge wing

Inside the Bridge CO2 Extinguisher for all the electronics in

case of a fire

Pantry for snacks & drinks

This tall chair is a "Pilot Chair"

there is always a designated pilot chair for maritime pilots

no matter what type of ship you are on

An azimuth ring used in conjunction with the gyro repeater

outside for taking bearing of objects

SART on Each side of the bridge SART is short for Search & Rescue Radar Transponder

This is what it looks like when activated The other ships can locate you from the Radars

C.V.S.

With its turning motion on a heavy snow day, it will clear the glass

so we can see outside

Fire plan, Damage Control Plan, Dangerous Goods Plan

All for Emergency Use

Visibility is of utmost importance in navigation so we've got sunscreen for all the windows

Moving onto the center console this is where most of the electronic navigation

equipment are Starting from the port side

We've got DGPS for positioning Loran-C which no one uses anymore

AIS- Automatic Identification system for ships ECDIS, short for Elctronic Chart Display Information

System It's a digital version of paper charts

Sadly we still use paper charts in conjunction with electronic charts

GMDSS – Global Maritime distress & safety systems

Fancy name for communication units which consist of

VHF 1 2 and 3 Very High frequency in my experience can reach

up to 40 Nautical Miles

MF/HF While MF/HF depends on your frequency and

weather conditions, can reach hundreds of miles

Sat C and Sat F Satellites well… covers the globe

Handhelds UHF more limited to line of sight

We've got three radars One Radar Antenna on the forward mast and

two at the back on main mast

Numerous Indicators

Bridge indicator unit,its mostly about

Engine Status, Power Status and Air pressure Program Bypass for some extreme maneuvers if you want to pull a Captain Philips

Bow Thruster controller same as the one outside

on the Bridge Wing Console Telegraph transmitter, it's linked directly

down to the engine room's telegraph or "Chadburn" as old timers will call it

Steering Gear Controls

Auto Pilot The helm, or steering wheel

We switch to manual hand steering when we need the precision

Starboard 20!

Navigation lights controls

Pilot door indicator, it shows if pilot doors

are shut completely close The door is located very close to the waterline

which is why we give extra attention

Watertight door indictor for the whole ship

Internal telephone for communication within the ship

Sound powered internal telephone - when internal phone fails

PA System - when internal and sound-powered fails

Cadet.

When internal, sound-powered and PA system fails

You send him to pass messages Morse Code Key

We've got 3 Lifejacket & 3 Immersion Suit

12 Rocket Flares.

Just like the ones in Captain Philips

First Aid Box

Flag Cabinet

That's about it for the bridge tour, no

emergency escapes this time around It's a small space very compact but with

lots of equipment Let me know down in the comments below what

else you'd like to see For sailors with internet access

please help me out by answering some of the questions you see in comments

since I am probably a week away from any internet at the moment

As always thanks for watching, see you next time.
