a mother of two two children who were
born in the US in Arizona has been
deported to Mexico guadalupe garcia de
Reyes has lived in America as an
undocumented immigrant since the mid
nineties when she was brought here as a
child in 2008 authorities convicted her
of using a fake social security number
each year since then she was check-in
with immigration officials and she
checked in last week they reported her
joining us now is Guadalupe Garcia de
reyes husband who does not want to be
identified by name and their attorney
right Maldonado up
thank you gentlemen for being here
guadeloupe that I want to start with you
what happened last week explain what
happened when your wife went to check in
as she regularly did with immigration
officials well she had when I was
wednesday as every year you have to do a
normal chicken with ice for the past
eight years he's been doing the same
thing chicken with them and with no
problem
what changed last Wednesday is they
decided to try right there and then
reporter mr. Maldonado explaining what
happened why this happened because again
here's a woman who was brought here at
14 years old through no choice of thrown
by her parents she has to us-born
children the trunk administration has
always said that they would prioritize
the murderers the rapists not the people
who were law-abiding hard-working people
what with water-based crime
yeah her crime was trying to provide a
better life for her children and she had
growing up if you're undocumented this
community you essentially have to use a
fake social security number
she was arrested in one of the
unconstitutional raised by are notorious
former sheriff joe arpaio as a result of
that she was even a criminal conviction
now under the Trump administration under
the new executive orders she's a
priority for deportation essentially
anybody who has even been arrested for a
crime before now falls within the net
apparently for deportation we have to be
very careful about these new executive
orders from

my daughter is 14 what are they powered
experiencing just family multi-purpose
situation that happened last week where
there are heartbroken you know there are
you can see in their strong but inside
were heartbroken being you know it is i
can explain how it is to wind up with to
be without my wife wore in their house
and see the house empty without her
it's really hard and your children have
been able to see her
oh yeah they were with her when she got
the portico no valid they spent a couple
of days with her before she went back to
her hometown or what she was born in
their hometown because it is not only in
her hometown
yeah and so what does this mean i mean
what did what will the children have to
cross the border and go to Mexico to be
with their mother what does this mean as
you understand it for your future
I mean if nothing is tricks
basically yeah that's what it is they
have to like call the water to a
different country to see their mom and
what if they told you about that well we
haven't really talked much because they
left as soon as a their mom got deported
so we haven't really talked about that
but I mean it really hard really strong
i admired their house so they are about
inside inside were like heartbroken
it is really unfair like this is
basically this is really sad you know
the Maldonado I know that you said that
you believe that women like waterloo
pair now the priority for the chocolate
nutrition but that's just very different
than what we've heard she's not a
hardened criminal she's not violence
criminal
why is she the first I think that's
what's so dangerous about these new
executive orders they put in to the
priority essentially anybody here
undocumented our community could
possibly be facing one of the biggest
mass deportations and history united
states if President route follows
through on what he's written it in his
executive orders
this is the first duplication under
President Trump executive orders
but there could be hundreds of thousands
if not millions of people just like this
family we're looking at right now that
could be suffering in the very near
future we don't stop him and do
something about it right now and mr.
Maldonado what is the plan
I mean this is what he campaigned on you
know that he has legions of supporters
who say that just the initial crime of
crossing the border that that does
therefore make them guilty of a criminal
ass and you know his supporters think
that this does help secure the border so
what is the plan
no doubt this is a declaration of war
these executive orders are declaration
of war on the immigrant community the
plan that will our community to come
together to organize educate ourselves
about our rights and be prepared to
fight to stop deportations in the case
of while loop when she was arrested she
didn't go down without a fight and use
it as a community those of us here in
Arizona have been fighting quite a long
time if you have to immigrants sentiment
when they tried to take her away seven
people were arrested stopping the van
which she live in we need to see more of
those actions across the country we got
to do everything we can legally we do
everything we can
politically but when the time comes we
also gotta be ready to get down the
street and fight not elevate husband
when will you see her again I will sing
well I don't know yet for sure when I
keep on fighting until we bring her back
