My Nora Valkyrie "Magnhild" Hammer from RWBY and a Thank You! - Duration: 13:30.Hey everybody! Thunder Kitten here, and in
some circles,
this is what's known as my face. So I
recently uploaded a RWBY theory about
Emerald, and before I uploaded that
theory I had my Yang theory posted. And I
had about 23 subscribers at that time. As
of today, I have over 500, and, you guys, I
can't comprehend that. I can't wrap my
mind around this idea that over 500
people care about what I have to say
about some internet show, and that's
awesome! ! started doing those RWBY
theory videos just for the fun of it,
just to see what would happen, and the
response, it's overwhelming. You all I-I
can't even begin to say how grateful I
am. So thank you very, very much for
making this tiny, tiny channel suddenly
grow basically overnight.
That is incredible. I did want to take a
little bit of time to show something
else that I'm interested in, and that's
cosplay. And since you guys are
interested in RWBY, I thought I would
show off my Nora Valkyrie Magnhild
hammer.
Don't worry, I will be making more theory
videos, so it's not going to suddenly
become a cosplay channel overnight, ok?
But, if you enjoy this video and would
like to see more cosplay stuff, please,
just let me know. I'm more than happy to
show off more stuff, or work on some
tutorials, or who knows. A lot of new cosplayers
or aspiring cosplayers get
really discouraged from seeing some of
the amazing cosplays that are out there
and realizing they're expensive
materials and that they could never
afford stuff like that. So I wanted to
make this video just to show you guys
that you can have fun and cosplay and make
some really cool stuff out of cheap and
easy to find materials. So why don't we
go take a look at the hammer? So here are
the main things that I used on this
hammer build. Firstly EVA foam. This is
craft foam, just from Hobby Lobby.
You can get these sheets for about a
dollar typically, and i used a
combination of two millimeter and three
millimeter. You can also get thicker
pieces of foam,
especially as floor mats. People will
often use those for armor builds. Most
often times you'll see that for Mass
Effect armor or Gears of War armor.
Recently, Punished Props did a steel
armor build from Skyrim that looked
really good out of these floor mats as
well.
Next, I've got non corrugated cardboard, also
known as chipboard. You can see it's
really thin and it's actually very
sturdy. It's kind of like cardstock, only
a little bit thicker, and this is the
stuff that a lot of cereal boxes and
things are made out of.
I like using the raw cardboard instead
of the stuff that's been printed on, like
a cereal box, simply because that tends
to mess with the glue and sometimes
interfere with how it interacts with the
foam and the cardboard and everything.
This is just a divider for a sauce box
at fast-food place, so if you want to ask
McDonald's or anybody like that "hey, do
you have, you know, cardboard dividers in
your sauce boxes?" and sometimes they'll
give them to you for free, so that's one
thing that you can check out. For gluing
the whole thing together, I like to use
tacky glue. And you can find this at
Walmart, you can find it at Hobby Lobby, other
types of craft stores things like that.
It's a little bit more expensive than
other similar white glues, it dries clear,
and I just find it to be a lot more
reliable than, say, like Elmer's glue or
anything like that.
This is great for using on craft foam
and cardboard, but obviously, you know, hot
glue, super glue, gorilla glue, those are
all fantastic glues that are great for
multiple applications. So, it really just
depends on what you're doing with it as
far as your choice of glue is concerned.
Now, I did a lot of raised designs on the
hammer for some intricate patterns, and
so in order to do that, I use 3D fabric
paint. And this you can pick up at any
craft store, fabric store, they-they're
usually only a couple of bucks, maybe
three dollars on average, and you can get
them in all types of different colors. I
just happen to have gold because I
started a project that needed gold, and
I've been using this same bottle for a
couple of years now. I don't really use a
whole lot of it. And it's great, you can
paint over it just fine.
So this is definitely worth picking up
if you want to do any raised designs. It
can get messy, so just be sure to have
plenty of napkins and q-tips around to
help clean up any mistakes that you make
along the way.
Alright, so as you can see, I've laid out
a yardstick for reference, and so the
bottom half of the handle here is about
the same size as this yardstick, as you
can see, and this is just to give you
guys a sense of how monstrous this
thing really is. So, let's take a look at
the detail. For this shallow design here,
this is just some of that cardboard
overlaid on top, just glued straight to
the wood. And then these pieces here, this
is craft foam, and I actually carved in
this design, it's really easy to do.
Actually carved into the craft foam
before sealing it and then I painted it
to make those designs stand out a little
bit more. And you can see the same thing
on the other side. Here, at the top of
this piece, we have little tiny hole that goes
all the way through, and a little slot, and
that just lines up with the bottom of the
top half. It actually slides into this right
here. This is hollow. The inside is still kind of
unpainted. And I put a screw through
there and that just secures it. It's
really sturdy, and that way I can break
it apart so that I can get in a car,
because, obviously, this thing is huge. So
then right here, at the top of the handle,
got this decorative thing, same thing on
the other side. This crossbar here is
also wood. This, that's craft foam to add
a little depth there. See that? I think
that's just a two millimeter. And this
pole does go, this-this whole handle
piece does go straight all the way
through
Now you can probably
see this. All of these designs are
raised. That is the 3D fabric paint. And
then also same thing with the paint job;
darker and lighter to create contrast.
Got this top piece here which is just a
separate piece that is - it's made out of
the cardboard for sturdiness with the
craft foam over top of it. And that's
basically how the whole thing is made;
under sides of each piece are the
cardboard and the top piece is the craft
foam, and that just gave it a nice
sturdiness. So these pieces here, that's
actually just the cardboard, and this is
the foam. Same thing with this. And right
here you can see that again; this is the
foam, this is the cardboard. Nice little
Celtic knot thing. This is just cardboard
with the 3D fabric paint over top of it.
It ended up getting broken at one point, so
I had to glue it back together with
another piece of cardboard underneath. So
there is this little divide that I'm not
super happy, with but you know, mistakes
happen. Things happen, things get damaged,
gotta patch it, that's just how it goes. I
really like this piece here because you
can see how its shaped. You can see
inside the hammer a little bit.
Alright, so I flipped it so we can see a
little bit more inside,
get a better angle here. So for this
whole piece right here, that's a
continuous piece of cardboard and then
these are separate pieces of craft foam
because there is an obvious divide on
her design. And then this is not really a
full ring,
obviously, it's just a partial ring that
goes around on either side. And, yeah this
is the cardboard. I think it's two layers
of cardboard.
That's the minimum that I work with
whenever I work with cardboard. i usually
do two layers and it gives it a nice
sturdiness, because then once you glue
those two pieces of cardboard together,
it almost has a very thin wood feel to
it.
So I've got that - that's cardboard and
then this is a layer of craft foam over
top. I believe that is the three
millimeter cardboard, little bit bigger.
You can see there is a piece of foam.
This is really lightweight, very porous
foam and the whole thing is sort of built
around and attached to that piece as a
support. It is incredibly sturdy, but very
lightweight so definitely something to
look into if you find pieces like this. I
think you can get things like this from
shipping companies, lots of packages will
use it to stabilize the contents of a
box and things like that. And if you can
see these cylinders, I bet you guys can
already guess what those are made out of.
Those are Pringles cans that I sprayed
painted with Valspar paint from Lowe's I
think, and it was - it came in the perfect
color, I was very happy about that.
Alright, so here's the front, same thing;
layers of cardboard with craft foam on
top. At some point, I needed to leave the
craft foam alone while it was gluing to
the cardboard, and I actually had to
secure it with paper clips, and you can
actually see right here where paperclip
dug right into that foam while it was
setting. And just messed that up. But
I actually like it because it kind of
looks a little bit more like battle
damage, so, mistakes happen, but sometimes
they happen and turn out pretty cool.
So I'm not really complaining about that.
As with a lot of the pieces for this
hammer, these designs are etched in. Just
carve those in with a knife,
don't go all the way through the foam,
and then hit it with the heat gun and
that's going to open up. This is a piece
that I'm really proud of, it's this hole
where all her rockets come out of. Its
just basically a cup made out of
cardboard. You can see there's a backing,
kind of see the edge right there,
and from a lot of angles you can't
actually see it, especially if you're at
a distance, you can't tell that there's a
backing to it. It just looks like an endless
black hole,
um, which is pretty great. And then I just
took a little bit of black paint that
was smeared on a napkin, went along the
edges here just to give it to look like
it had fired a few shots off already.
Yeah, and here's the final little spike
piece here on the end. You can't really
see the designs on it very well. I should
have gone over with the 3D paint a
little bit more.
It's very subtle. Again, the whole thing
is just very intricate designs all over.
Its crazy. Lots of work, but totally worth
it.
I absolutely loved working on this
project. Okay! so i hope you enjoyed that.
That was probably a very awkward
transition knowing me. There is an
official Facebook page for the
ThunderKitten channel. I basically wanted
to make a little nerdy community where
we can all talk about awesome things
that we like. We could talk about RWBY
about Star Wars, we could talk about video
games, we could talk about comic books. You
can post your fanart, or photos of your
cosplays. Pretty much just a nerdy place
where nerds can talk about nerdy stuff.
If you'd like to check that out, there
will be a link below in the description,
probably in a downwardsy direction, I don't know.
I wanted to start a fun game with my
subscribers, so here we go! In the comment
sections of my RWBY theory videos, leave
your favorite lines from RWBY and RWBY
Chibi, and I will do my very best at the end
of those videos to impersonate some of
those characters. We'll see how that goes.
Thank you for being such supportive and
fun subscribers! I've really enjoyed
talking to all of you all so far.
Let me know what you think of this video,
and cosplay videos in general, and, as
always, thank you for watching. :)

18 Things that DIDN'T Suck About 2016 - Year in Review ✔ - Duration: 4:58.2016 has proven to be a difficult year.
A lot of cool people died, Trump and Pence got elected, there was Brexit, a refugee crisis,
the Zika virus – just to name a few things that made the last 366 days a little bit hard
to stomach.
But there were also quite a few incredibly awesome scientific advancements and technological
breakthroughs that made this year stand out.
So in spite of a negativity bias that's so common in the media, I want to take a look
at the positive things that really made this year stand out in a good way.
Let's end on a positive note, shall we?
This year, scientists began utilizing a method for targeted gene manipulation.
The method, known as CRISPR, allows scientists to target specific genes that they want to
change, and then go in and alter only those genes, in a matter of days.
So freaking cool!
Think about the ramifications of this.
That means that not only can we create new antibiotics, but we could cure diseases and
even create crops resistant to drought.
Researchers at Stanford were able to inject stem cells into the brains of paralyzed stroke
victims, enabling them to walk again.
That's freaking cool.
But it gets even better.
They speculate that the same treatment could possibly be used to treat Lou Gehrig's,
Alzheimer's, and even Parkinson's.
Yay science!
There were two major breakthroughs in fertility treatments this year that really stood out.
First: mouse stem cells were turned into fertile eggs which then became living offspring – cool
stuff in the realm of stem cell research.
And second: After a couple tried and failed multiple times to have a healthy child, doctors
discovered that there was a rare disease being passed on to the child through the mother's
mitochondrial DNA.
Now because mitochondrial DNA only passes through the ova and not the sperm, we all
have identical mitochondrial DNA to our moms.
In order to overcome this obstacle, doctors took healthy mitochondrial DNA from a third
patient and combined it with the mother's egg, fertilizing it with the father's sperm
and creating the first child with three parents.
The Tesla Gigawatt 1 factory opened this year, pushing us one step closer to a world of clean,
renewable energy.
And in other Elon Musk news, SpaceX was able to successfully launch a rocket into space,
bring it back down, and land it on a platform in the middle of the ocean, upright.
How freaking cool is that?!
Solar Impulse 2 becomes the first solar-powered plane to complete a trip all the way around
the globe, and we sequenced the genome of the tardigrade, and potentially found a way
to make humans more resistant to radiation in the process.
We kicked Ebola's butt, and found a vaccine for it, and we found a potential vaccine for
HIV as well!
Lab-grown lungs were successfully transplanted in mice.
Berkeley created a parkour robot.
We discovered an exoplanet about the size of earth orbiting our closest neighbor star
– within the habitable goldilocks zone.
Using new 3D imaging techniques on the last 20 years of Hubble's photographs, scientists
were able to determine that the universe is 10 times bigger than previously expected.
After a chip was implanted in his brain, a quadriplegic was able to successfully perform
complex hand motions including swiping credit cards and even playing guitar hero.
Scientists in Iceland were able to use a new carbon sequestration method to pull carbon
dioxide out of the atmosphere and pump it into the ground.
And to top off this list, scientists at LIGO were able to detect gravitational waves for
the first time – not once, but twice – proving Einstein right a hundred years after he made
his initial predictions.
I know I was only able to cover a fraction of the cool stuff that happened this year,
so I'm going to try to put together a bigger list on my blog.
What were your favorite moments of 2016?
Be sure to comment below in the little area thing, doobly doo (whatever it's called).
Let me know.
Also, if you know somebody that's been having a really crappy year, feel free to shoot them
this video.
Maybe it'll help to cheer them up and spread a little optimism.
And in order to help combat some of the negativity bias that the media has, I really recommend
that you check out a book called abundance by Peter Diamandis.
It's amazing.
The future is so much brighter than we think.
Happy 2017 everybody.
I hope that your next year is even better than this one.

What comes next? | New Years Vlog 2016 - Duration: 10:11.How's it going everybody?
Happy New Year, or Happy new Years Eve depending on where you are in the world right now.
I have a feeling by the time this video goes up it will be January 1st for most people.
That's just cause I'm really still very terrible at time management.
Um...
I couldn't think of anything to draw for today so I just decided to make a kind of vlog?
Since it's New Years and everybody seems to be making New Years videos so... um...
I thought I'd talk about some of the stuff that I would like to accomplish in 2017.
I feel like I did accomplish a few things this year, y'know, 2016 was a pretty rough
year in general, just all around.
But I did set out to do a few things this year um and I guess I succeeded in a couple
of them.
Um...
I am much more confident in my artwork than I was this time last year.
Um.. little bit more confident in myself, which is a big step for me cause I've struggled
with self-confidence for so long.
So it's a bit hard when it feel like I'm taking steps backward when really I'm just evolving,
slowly, y'know.
I um uhh...
What else did I do this year?
Hmmm...
I existed! (laughs) No.
No.
I, I survived.
I did very good at surviving even waking up each day.
That's a plus.
365 times this year I woke up, which is awesome.
(laughs) And if you can say the same thing, then that's even more awesome.
So, good on you.
So there are a few things I did this year that are much more involved in my personal
life than anything I did online. So as far as I see online I didn't do a whole lot.
I just sort of lived my life, which is fine.
That's great, that's a major accomplishment, as I just got done saying.
So for 2017 I want to do a lot more with myself.
I want to create more than I have been.
I don't want to pidgin hole myself into um just one thing, y'know, just one interest.
Cause I have interests in a lot of things, and I want to make so many things.
I see other people making things and I want to make them too, or at the very least get
involved, be involved in making something, y'know?
So I guess um one of the first things that I want to do for next year is just make more
stuff in general.
Just make more.
And um and try new things, just try making new things, whatever that is, whether it's
making videos or uh a webcomic which I'm still working on, just comics in general, whatever
I feel like making, and to have the courage to just make what I want to make no matter
what I think the response to it will be.
Cause I'm such a perfectionist, and that is such a soft word to use cause perfectionist
has such has so many connotations to it that could mean anything.
But in this case I'm very, very self critical where, like, it's hard for me to even start
up doing something like this without, um, like I'll get into it, I'll set up, I'll get
the camera set up and get everything opened up and then the minute I hit record I'm just
like, *gurgles* what do I say?
So (laughs)... and even now I'm still, like, I'm not used to to looking at the camera so
I keep glancing at myself on the screen, so I'm sorry for that.
So this is kind of a ramble.
This is what this has become.
(laughs) It's kind of what I set out to do with it.
Um I don't really know what kind of stuff I'm going to make, though.
Um.
I really want to make a gaming channel, in fact I already have a channel set up uh and
I'd really like to...
I'd like to be able to record and play video games cause it's so much fun to do.
Um I don't know how good I'll be at doing commentary, if this is anything to go by.
(laughs) Um but I want to do more, I want to do more with YouTube, y'know, I want to
try to do more with that so... um... that's on my list.
And um... gosh... what else is there?
I want to make...
I just...
I want to make! (laughs) I'm not happy unless I'm making something, whether it's drawing
or doing a video or... who knows, who knows what else.
I mean I like, I also really like to craft.
I want to create things, and I want to create lasting things, things that will have an impression
on people.
Um... uh, let's see.
I got to stay focused here.
I have my little journal with notes here.
(laughs) I gotta stay focused.
So other things I want to do this coming year is um I want take better care of myself.
Um not to say that I haven't been taking care of myself, I have, it's just been kind of
sporadic, and to me taking care of myself is pretty simple, y'know?
Make sure I keep up with hygene uh... make sure I'm eating well for my body, make sure
I'm getting enough activity so that I'm not just sitting in my chair all day long and
not... not doing anything else.
Having a good sleeping schedule, because my sleeping schedule is always awful, I've always
been a night owl ever since I was a little girl.
I stayed up so late, and I still find it that I'm more productive at night but that's only
when I sleep late.
When I actually do manage to get up in the morning and have a good, like, get up at a
decent hour and, like, have a good start to my day then I'm so much more productive with
it.
So I want to...
I'm not gonna have like super high expectations for that just cause it's always been a challenge
for me to get into a good sleeping schedule cause it's so easy for me to just sit here
and stay up and just find stuff to look at or do so (laughs)... we'll see.
I'm gonna do my best with that.
Something else I want to do this year, and just from this moment on really, is also to
be more social and not just, not just online, but um in life in general.
I don't have very many friends and that's nobody's fault but my own.
It's not that I can't find friends, it's just that I don't keep up with the people I actually
meet, and that's on me.
So that's something I really want to do, is cultivate more friendships, not like a huge
ton of friendships, I want to cultivate friendships cause that's something that I've been slipping
on for a while now.
It's not like I have any problems being social, it's just sometimes I forget to be, so (laughs)
I just sort of, uh, I let time get away from me and just realize that I haven't been doing
anything, I haven't been talking to anybody, I haven't been doing anything but sitting
on my butt.
And it's very easy to get into that cycle for me, so it's breaking through that cycle.
I have a lot of little things I'd like to try to do this year, too.
Um...
Something that happened this year is that I lost a family member I was very close to
and there uh I'd been thinking about a lot of things that I told her I would do and that
I had told her that I was working towards, and that she will never see me get to.
I'm gonna try not to get too emotional about this cause it's still... it's still very uh
close to me.
So um... so a few little things that I want to do is uh, I want to...
I have a guitar that is sitting in my closet that I've never learned how to play and I
spent the money on it and it's a nice guitar and I want to learn how to play it, so that's
one thing.
Um...
Another things is to actually graduate, graduate school.
I'm going to college right now, um... and it's been quite a roller coaster just to graduate.
I mean, I've been going since 2009 -- no... yeah 2009 I've been in college and I haven't
graduated yet and I'm just like... (whines) I'm in the home stretch now, I've only got
a couple semesters left, and I'm starting to hit some walls there so it's like gotta
graduate!
Gotta graduate, not just graduate but graduate on time so... yeah.
(laughs) I think I better wrap this up.
I have a lot more things I wish that I could talk about but I've been talking for ohhh
17 minutes now so... at least according to this, I don't know if that's gonna show up
that way in the video but I need to wrap this up anyway, so...
I hope you guys are having a good day.
I hope you've had a happy New Year and I hope that you have things to look forward to in
2017, especially compared to the train wreck that was this year.
(laughs) Ohhh my goodness.
Um and I hope you'll stick with me while I try my new things and try to get myself out
there and make things that are meaningful and just we'll see what happens, so...
Thanks for being here, thanks for watching and I hope you found something that made you
smile today and I'll see you guys in the next one.
Buh-bye!

How To Use The Scout Class In Battlefield 1 [Battlefield 1: 101] [G-Legend] - Duration: 3:38.yo what is up everybody my name is G-legend today I want to thank you first
and foremost like always
thank you for taking out my battle field 1:101 series on my channel it's designed
to help people who are used to be called the fans transfer over to battle field
today I want to talk to you guys but understanding the site class in
battle field 1 i want to lay it all out for the former color duty fans that have
never played battlefield make it easy for you guys to understand just like
I've been doing for the rest of this series so if you're a college degree
gamer who is struggling to understand battlefield I suggest you may want to go
check out that series that i have for you guys don't forget to Like subscribe
it helps me a lot
without further ado don't go anywhere casks with just getting started
yeah
already so the scout class is closely related to these Soviets Oh mother it's
closer related to the support class okay you work and a half with the support
people and but nonetheless you're still different like there's so many things
that are different like 41 your sniper and they're not and because you're a
sniper your job that's just my people from afar it's to protect your team from
afar
so I mean that's really all there is to it this is your sniper class if you're
this sniper from black ops 3 over in college in general you have always been
the sniper you're going to want to take the sculpt class but you also have to
take into consideration and you know make sure that you know this you can't
go in there making that you're going to quickscope some motherfuckers all the
time I know what's that many times but i have to keep expressing it
this is not call of duty it is very very different even though with the first
person shooter and is still nonetheless extremely different so don't think for
one second that quickscoping somebody and battlefield one is the same as
quickscoping somebody in college ability it's very different
you're not gonna do it and if you do it you just got lucky that's it
so instead why don't you just go to about this point and shoot enemies from
there
snipe them all out you can get a lot of kills that way and it helps your team
out so it's a win with ok do that do that if you got to get the kills go in
the backe cap in the back and shoot the enemies from afar
everybody wins if you do that so to close off this class of course is
typically bad for close-quarters combat so make sure that you know that and then
not try to find a good bath . like i said it's not the enemies from there and
then don't forget to adjust your sniper rifle for 75 or a hundred meters or 300
meters
don't forget that you can do that you can do that you can adjust your meter
range so that you can actually get kills I've actually tried getting kills at
like the 70 meter range when my gun was set at 300 meters and I couldn't
and then the same is true for the opposite you know the enemy was like a
300-meter range and my gun was 70 and I you know I couldn't get killed
so anyway I think that's going to wrap up this video don't forget to Like
subscribe and how do you check out my channel if you like first-person shooter
tips and tricks and stuff like that
my goal is to inspire you and it's in to enlighten you so do give me a chance to
do that anyway I hope you guys have a great day i'm going to catch you guys
later and i'll see you in the next one

DECEMBER BOOK HAUL | kavyathebibliophile - Duration: 6:47.Hi guys, it's Kav from kavyathe
bibliophile and today I'm going to be
showing you all all the books I got in
December. Let's get started! The first
book I have to show you all is The Ask and the
Answer by Patrick Ness which is the
second book to the Chaos Walking trilogy.
And, I first read A Monster Calls by
Patrick Ness a few months ago, I think it
was back in summer actually,
and I really loved it so I thought I
would check out his new trilogy. The next
two books I have to show you are
Curtsies and Conspiracies and
Waistcoats and Weaponry by Gail
Carriger and these are the second and
third book to the Finishing School
series. I read the first one actually a
few years back, but I remember loving it.
It's kind of a steampunk novel that
brings together both the kind of idea of
being ladylike, but also fighting and I
just remember really enjoying it so I
got the second and third book and I'm
planning to re-read the entire thing,
there is also a fourth book that I have
to get, but because I remember loving the
first book I am really excited to read
these. The next book I have which was actually a
gift from my friend is Carry On by
Rainbow Rowell and this book follows the
story of Simon and Baz and it's not a
classic love story because Baz is a
vampire and Simon from what I understand
does magic, so he's probably a warlock of some
kind. I love Rainbow Rowell's books - I've only
read two of them so far, Fangirl and
Attachments, but I've heard really good
things about others of hers like Eleanor
and Park and Carry On itself so I'm
really excited to read this one, it's
kind of different because it's not the
classic contemporary novels she writes, it has
some fantasy elements so I'm really
excited to give this one a shot and it
sounds really interesting. The next book I
have is Legend by Marie Lu which I have
heard so many good things about. It's the
first book to the Legend series. It follows
the story of two characters June and Day
who are supposedly supposed to go on
different paths, but then June's brother
is
murdered and Day becomes a suspect. They're
kind of brought together by that and
I've heard a lot of good things about
this because I've heard that it incorporates
some diversity and that it's also a really
good read,
so I'm excited to read this and, you know,
get more into the series and everything.
The next book I have is Red Queen by
Victoria Aveyard and I follow her on
twitter and I've become a fan of her
through that, but I've never actually read
of her novels. So, this was her debut
novel and it's a fantasy novel where
people are separated by their blood, red
and silver. The main character, Mare, is
part of a lowly family with red blood,
but she discovers she has this ability
which makes kind of no sense because her
blood is red, so she then gets forced
into this role of a lost silver princess.
I'm really excited to read this. The next
two books I have are The Raven Boys and
The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater and
these are the first two books to the
Raven Cycle which I'm jumping on the
bandwagon pretty late. It follows the story of a
young girl named Blue Sargent who gets
tied into this world of the sinister
Raven Boys whose leader is kind of Gansey
and he has three other people he's
taking on a mission with him: Adam, Ronan,
and Noah. So, again, I've heard really
good things about it - it sounds pretty
interesting so I'm excited to finally
read it. The last book I have to show you is
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and this
book is gorgeous. The pages are outlined
in black and the cover of part one just
looks so gorgeous.
It's just utterly gorgeous. I read one of
Leigh Bardugo's books for school actually -
we read Shadow and Bone, I never actually
continued with The Grisha Trilogy, but it
was one I think most of the people in my
class actually enjoyed and I did have a
few issues with it, but overall I thought
it was good so I'm excited to read this
one itself. It seems to be taking place in
the same Grisha world, but it's not part
of The Grisha Trilogy. I know the world so
I'm kind of excited to read this and it's
just so gorgeous.
The author also seems like a really
cool person, I follow her as well so I'm
excited to read this one.
Those were the books I got this month,
some of them were gifts and some of them
I got myself and yeah I'm really excited
to read all of these. They all sound
really interesting and I know most of
these authors, even if I haven't read their
books, so I'm really excited to get into
all these books. I'd love to hear what
you guys got this month, so you can leave
down in the comments below what books
you got this month - did you get any for
any of the holidays you were celebrating?
Let me know if you've read any of these
books and tell me what you think of them.
