The Benefits Of An Open Mind

The metaphysical has had a bad reputation when it comes to well known scientists who

rely on logic.

The most common notion is If I cant see it , I dont believe it, personally,

I believe that only fools see with their eyes and then instantly begin to believe.

People need to look far more deeper than that before coming to a conclusion about something

so enormous like the origins of the universe.

It is even possible that our human minds cant even comprehend the true explanation as why

we are all here.

There are so many unexplainable things in this world that simply get put off as a hoax,

or a conspiracy.

Thats because the majority of the world relies only on their 5 senses (Sight, hearing,

touch, smell, and taste) and completely dismiss anything more than that.

There are 6 senses, it cannot be explained but that extra sense does indeed exist.

Intuition is the 6th sense, even Albert Einstein believed that it existed.

He was a very special case, his open mind, keen intellect, lust for change, and contempt

towards authority allowed him to see many things that others could not.

He took theories from other top Physicists and called them flawed.

He took a took a theory from one place, then added it to another, then added his own 40

page thesis on it, expanding it even more.

He did not just blindly listen and follow those who were already well established and

famous.

He challenged them and he dared to dream, which resulted in some of the greatest achievements

in history of humankind.

Einstein also believed in a higher power.

He said that everything in the Universe has order, and that everything has a vibration.

He he even went as far as to say that everything is predestined.

However, he made it very clear that he was not religious, and he completely shunned the

idea of a personal god who could meddle in the affairs of our daily lives.

At the same time, he loathed atheists who would wrongly misquote him time and time again,

even stating that he thought they were too close minded.

As logical as Albert Einstein might seem to the world, he heavily relied on his 6th sense

and creativity to accomplish what he did.

Its what set him apart from his peers, allowing him to contribute to the world in

a long and lasting way.

We desperately need more Einsteins in the world to uncover the secrets of the Universe,

and to spread, and promote free thinking.

We need the population of today to understand that its okay to be different, and that

its okay to think outside

of the box.

Hey everybody this is Randy Santel

"Atlas" with Atlas & Zeus Promotions and

proud owner of foodchallenges.com! very

very excited tonight I'm coming off a

big win 412 yesterday in Bristol I

finally beat that Kraken burger

challenge, but today I am in Barnstable,

England on that Custom House I'm taking

on their Totem burger challenge! Now I've

got 30 minutes to finish this entire

thing and luckily I enjoy a chili cheese

fries! I've had enough last night but

there is a whole mound of them right

here but basically within 30 minutes

I've got to finish their Totem Burger

which has four 1/3 pound patties along

with there's a grilled cheese here then

there's some healthy lettuce and some

bacon but there is just a whole is

basically a basket of their fries

covered with chili and cheese but like I

said I've got 30 minutes in order to get

the 20 basically the 27 quid meal for

free along with a sweet t-shirt and I'll

be one of the few people on their wall

of fame but basically the other part of

this challenge is that anybody that

finishes it in one sitting get a free

t-shirt and on the wall of fame but

obviously I'm going to try to get it

free so let's get overall win number 413

let's get it started!

Alright so 22 people have finished this

entire meal 11 of them did it in under

the 30 minutes and the record is

basically 27 minutes and 41 seconds so

we're going to try to beat that let's

get it started we're going to do the

burger first that cheese and everything

is keeping all these fries cool or warm

and then hopefully it's making her moist

as well so I'll be able to eat it pretty

quickly but one two three. . . Boom!

Oh last night was super hard today was

supposed to easy but Jesus

dedicated to my friend Michael, who has been

contacting me for the last month making

sure that I got here and did this

challenge but Oh Good win!

No flex after that one! 26 minutes and 18 seconds

new record! I was definitely hoping to do

that a little bit quicker but the owner

said it was about seven pounds I didn't

really believe in the beginning because

11 people beat that one but with all that

chili on there now I believe them and I

feel all frickin seven pounds 26 minutes

18 seconds i got the 27 quid meal for

free on the 12th person up on the wall

of fame with the new record I'm gonna

get a sweet t-shirt to add to my

collection and I'll be up on the wall of

fame, so thank you to Custom House here

Mavic Pro Active Track MAX SPEED Test - How FAST will it go? - Duration: 7:04.

Today we are going to put Mavic Pro to the test

We are going to see how fast it can fly with active track and to help me with this experiment Moreno has joined me

Hi Everybody

The maximum speed is a pretty crucial if you want to try to fast moving object

DJI claims with the latest update that the maximum speed is 15 m/s

this equals 33 mph or 54 Kph

If you stick with us to the end of this episode we will include some amazing footage recorded with Active Track at full speed

We are uploading drones and even related material weekly, so if you are new to this channel

Make sure to subscribe, so you don't miss out on anything

We are now on a deserted road outside the city where we're going to do our experiment

Our plan is to make the Mavic follow Moreno's car while he's driving at the maximum speed claim by DJI (15m/s)

We will film the speed dial of the car together with the footage from the drone and a screen recording from the DJI GO App

It's a bit windy today. So it will be interesting to see if this has any influence on our test

Let's put Mavic in active track mode and select the car. In the UI does the slider that can be used to set the maximum speed

Let's keep that at 15 m/s

Let's go

Moreno will increase the speed to 30 kph and after that he will increase to 54 kph

now we are at 30

then we accelerate

then we go to 35

now at 40

now at 45

now we are at 48

at 55

now at 60

It seems we lost the Mavic around 55 kph

Let's do it again. This time in the opposite direction against the wind

we are at 30

35 kph

We lost it at 35 kph

Now it catches up at full speed

we lost it in 35 kph

Flying against the wind maybe could not keep up around 40 kph

Let's do it again.

Let's take Mavic to the max. This time in profile mode

Does it keep up? ok, we are ready

20, 25 , 30 kph

35 kph

now we are 40 kph

going to 45 kph

close to 50 kph

50 kph now

now we are at 54 kph, 55 kph

It's still keeping up

We lost it at 55 kph according the speed dial of the car.

We have now reviewed the result of our test. Our highest recorded speak was

14 m/s downwind in profile mode

with trace

Mavic maxed out at 12 m/s. The speed dial in the car was showing 54-55 kph when we lost track of

the Mavic, either the Mavic or the Kaiser reported the wrong speed I?

I trust the GPS

readings from the Mavic more than I trust of reading from the car which means that the our conclusion

must be that we could not reach 15 m/s. Flying against the wind will reduce the maximum speed even more

Depending on the wind condition this could be half

Now we have looked into the limitations of the maximum speed for Active Track. As promised in the beginning of this episode

we will now take a look at some great looking footage recorded active track at full speed.

As a bonus info I can add this was recorded with the ND16 filter, with 1/80 shutter speed to compensate for the movement

2.7 K

resolution and 30 fps, color profile was D-Cinelike

We hope you enjoyed this video. If so press the like button below, subscribe and see you on the next one

Welcome to the Jurassic Museum of Asturias.

Where are Adrián?

In the Jurassic Museum?

Look, there's another one ..

As soon as you arrive, the first thing that will impress you will be its exteriors.

You do not have to pay for admission.

They have placed a multitude of incredibly well-made dinosaur figures.

Let's take a picture with this...OK

Look that's the one with the head so hard look

Look that's the one with the head so hard I have looked....

I have looked.... I have looked....

I have looked....

Then we have what is the museum itself.

The architect who designed it, Rufino Uribelarrea,

I think I have said it well, Created the building thinking of imitating the footprint of a

Three-fingered dinosaur,

That is, a tridactyl dinosaur.

Its dome Which is an old copper dome,

he design it, with the idea that with the passage of time

take a greenish tint which was disguised with the environment.

And inside he create a structure of wood,

Simulating the ribs of dinosaurs.

Inside the museum, they tell you about the origins of evolution,

Until the arrival of the man.

But they stand and place special emphasis in The Age of Dinosaurs.

Wednesday admission is free and it is full of people.

There are two exhibitions A permanent and a temporary one

do not?

yes.

And the permanent can be visited on Wednesdays for free,

And the temporary of meteorite, do you have to pay.

But that one, we are not going to see it.

We have to pay and we will not see it.

We have already spent a lot of money this August.

We will not see her. Do not

We are going to go to the beach right now, That yes?

Yes, after a little tour.

Come on, let's go

Are there footprints around Adrian?

Let's see tell me

There are footprints, look, come. Let's see the footprints

Are the prints of this?

The tracks of the Sauropod.

Prince William, Prince Harry To Hold TV Tributes For Princess Diana's 20th Death Anniversary. - Duration: 2:49.

Prince William, Prince Harry To Hold TV Tributes For Princess Dianas 20th Death Anniversary.

Its been almost two decades since Princess Diana died in a car accident and her now grown-up

sons Prince William and Prince Harry are planning a grand tribute to their mom.

According to Mirror, Harry and William have asked BBC and ITV to make emotional documentaries

for Princess Dianas tribute.

The two princes have selected a few close friends and family to take part in the said

event.

Among the selected is Dianas closest friend, Julie Samuel, Prince Georges godmother.

The late princess brother, Lord Spencer, who gave a heartfelt eulogy at her funeral,

is also expected to be part of the tribute.

The Duke and Prince Harry have selected close friends and family members to speak

about Diana, and some will be speaking about her publicly for the first time, one insider

told Sunday Times.

The ITV documentary will air in July and will feature Dianas legacy and achievements

in her work for HIV and landmines, which inspired William and Harry to also give their time

to humanitarian causes.

Meanwhile, the BBC tribute will air in August and the program will focus on the fatal crash

that caused Dianas untimely death.

It will also recall the peoples reactions nationally and worldwide to her passing.

People remain torn on Dianas death.

Mohamed Fayed, father of Dianas boyfriend Dodi Faye, believed that Dianas death was

not an accident.

He thought that the crash was a plot by the royal family and the British secret service

Meanwhile, Ken Wharfe, who served as Dianas royal officer for six years, blamed her death

to her boyfriends erratic behavior.

Dodi made a poor decision for allowing Henri Paul to drive even if he had allegedly been

drinking.

He also told the driver to drive fast to outpace the photographers.

I can say with certainty, drawing on decades of police experience, that Dianas death

was not murder but a dreadful accident that should have been avoided, Wharfe wrote,

Harpers Bazaar reported.

She was not the victim of shadowy figures who regarded her as an embarrassment to the

Establishment, but of her boyfriends erratic behavior and her bodyguards mistakes.

Will the tribute finally answer the issues surrounding Dianas death?

Drop a comment below.

What is Ableism? | #SpinaBifida - Duration: 1:42.

Hey everyone, welcome to #SpinaBifida

(pop)

What is Ableism?

A quick definition of Ableism is:

Basically making disabled lives inferior either directly or indirectly.

Ableism can happen in our language and our actions.

Sometimes people are not aware that they're being ableist.

They'll use words like "retarded", "crazy", "crippled" or "lame".

When something is negative, it's described using disability as a metaphor.

Furthering this idea that disability means bad.

Also ablism can happen by actions

even if the actions were meant to be positive

and help the community.

It can be ableist to not provide access to your activism.

Take for example the Women's March,

while the ideas and the message were fantastic,

the march itself was ableist.

No access was made in consideration

for people who use wheelchairs or any mobility aid.

Photos of the event didn't have images descriptions attached to them.

A lot of videos talking about the event didn't have closed captions.

These actions leave disabled people out,

thus making them ableist.

Abled Body privilege is a thing in our world,

and to help stop it we must acknowledge when we're being ableist

either by our actions or our words.

And then we must actively work to change it.

Even disabled people can be ableist.

It's ingrained into our society

but we can work to unlearn that.

By acknowledgement, and listening to

disabled lives on how to make the world more accessible.

This was a quick overview on ableism,

there was a lot I couldn't cover in this video.

But in the description, I've provided many links

on great articles to help further explain ableism.

I hope you can check them out.

And until next time, bye!

Session 2 YouTube - Duration: 51:39.

start recording of the session

I'm going to let you know

that this is going to be

an interactive session so again I'm glad

to have you all join me today

I'm assuming that this is also a session

that A you're here because you're

required to attend so many sessions and

hopefully B because you're really

interested in this topic so hopefully

this ends up being a nice

a fun

next hour

so what I'm going to do is I'm

going to go ahead and cut out my webcam

and I'm going to share my application

so fingers crossed that this works out

as we were discussing earlier

with technology

wouldn't be a surprise if something goes wrong

but fingers crossed

can everyone see the screen

Yes Alright

Fantastic

so when's webinar best practices

one of the things that I do

want to mention if you at any time

during this presentation cannot hear the

audio you have purple icons along the

bottom right corner of your screen you

could go ahead and select those purple

arrows to expand the panel and then you

can also click the gear icon to open the

settings and then double check your

audio and video settings so if you lose

audio at any time go ahead and do that

also if worst case scenario go ahead

and exit and then re-enter the session

as we did

a lot of you have your

microphone capabilities you're very

welcome to use the microphone if you

don't want to you're also very welcome

to use the chat tool as a few so you

have already demonstrated earlier so

today's goal is very very simple I'm

just going to share some of the training

industry best practices for facilitating

an interactive synchronous web session

just as simple as that

so let's go ahead and really get started

the most important thing is to have

interaction in your web session if at

all possible this is one way to make

your attendees stay engaged one way

to keep them awake

you want to incorporate visual and physical

interaction because that is crucial to

keeping their attention and drawing

their attention to the screen

so question for all of you how often

should you visually engage your

attendees pretty much have them use

something new or see something new so go

ahead and use the chat tool again click

on the purple arrows to expand that menu

and type your guest how often should you

visually engage your attendees

I have every five to seven feet

I know you mean a seconds minutes

I'm assuming

every few minutes two to three minutes

two minutes six minutes three to four minutes

you're going to be surprised with the

answer that training industry has to

give the training industry's

recommendation and of course I'm

mentioning the training industry I think

this could also be helpful in an online

course the suggestion is every 30 to 90 seconds

so how do you do this well one

thing that you can definitely do is

use the tools that are available in your

web conferencing system so depending on

the system that you're using if you're

using Blackboard Collaborate or another

tool you will want to go ahead and use a

pointer maybe a highlighter tool

use PowerPoint built-in tools so have minor

or simple animations go ahead and take

advantage of using the tools that you

normally use in PowerPoint maybe even

share your application very helpful if

you're having individuals

learn something on eCampus maybe you're giving

that virtual tour of your eCampus

Course pull up your application share

your screen have images a lot of you are

probably staring at the guy with the

binoculars on the screen that's also one

way to catch their attention and if at

all possible create movement by

navigating to the next slide so another

question how often should you physically

engage your attendees meaning that they

touch the keyboard or the mouse go ahead

and type your answer or your guess in

the chat box okay every three to five

minutes every minute every three minutes

those are actually pretty good guesses

recommendation is every two to three

slides or every three to five minutes

depending on how context heavy your

slides are so great job with those

guesses sounds fantastic

one of the things that you could do is

to keep your students engage physically

engage you can open the phone lines what

this means is you can invite them to ask

questions during your session so if for

example I wanted to go ahead and stop

and ask does anybody have any questions

at the moment that's one way that you

could keep your students engage it gets

a little tricky you definitely want to

make sure that you have a plan for

managing the talking that happens in the

online session so if you encourage

students or allow students to use their

microphone in their webcam you may ask

them to raise their hand beforehand or

raise your hand before they speak wait

until they're called on similar to in

the classroom environment you can

encourage them to use the chat tool if

drawing tools are made available you

could have them use those drawing tools

and maybe even have your students share

their application we'll talk more

about that in a little bit and perhaps

the most popular ways to keep their

students physically engaged is to have a

poll

so for a few do's and don'ts one thing

you don't want to do in a live

synchronous web session is regurgitate a

script I know it seems like the best

ideal it's like the next thing to do

but it's also easy for you to lose attention

from the chat messages that are coming

through assume that you have some multi

task you have to talk about the content

and then you also have to see if the

student is asking questions through the

chat box it's okay to have an outline or to

have bullet point for example I have

printed my PowerPoint slide with note

pages and I just have my handwritten

notes so that I know that I don't skip

anything as I'm speaking to you during

this live session

you also do not want to use non words um

uhs errs of course they're going to slip

out every now and then but try to reduce

the use of non-words if at all possible

rehearse ahead of time have your outlines

go through make sure you know that

exactly what it is that you want to say

and then that should help eliminate

those non words when you actually get to

your live session

don't rush usually where the web session

it's timed whether it's a session that

you're doing for your students so that

they could join virtually synchronously

whether this is a web meeting that

you're setting up for your colleagues or

someone in your department a meeting

with somebody else at another

institution do not rush skip information

if you're on a time crunch if you have

PowerPoint slides available try to have

perhaps some of the least important

information at the end of the slide so

that you could go ahead and go through

and skip this slide if needed

don't use qualifiers you want to avoid

sounding unsure about what you're

talking about again you're the

instructor you're the subject matter expert

the last thing you want to do is say I

hope this information is correct I wish

you understand what I'm saying I think

this is the case or maybe this is the

case so again avoid qualifiers

don't ramble I know I'm really good at that so

that's something that I'm personally

working on but try to keep on topic

especially when you're online you don't

have that luxury of having the students

in that face-to-face classroom you don't

have the luxury to walk around or to

stand behind somebody to catch their

attention so try not to ramble

don't over apologize

if you have technical issues

don't apologize for the technical issues

Tech really they're out of your

hands so if you do have technical issues

try to handle those quietly maybe have a

teaching existed or a colleague join you

as a co-presenter have them take care of

any technical issues that occur during

the live session

what you do want to do

in a web session if you want to push

your energy you want to be enthusiastic

let students know that you're just as

interested to be here as they are or at

least pretend like you're interested to

be there have someone in the room that's

sometimes help I've had instructors tell

me that that helped out when I shared

that tip with them to have a colleague

or another student or to even do this

during a live lecture to have an

audience in the room so that you don't

drain your energy you don't become quiet you

don't stray from the topic speak louder

it's so easy to sit in the comfort of

your own chair and to get a little quiet

because it's kind of your relaxing place

so definitely you want to speak louder and

if possible if you're that type of

person at least smile while you're talking

I'm smiling right now giggle when i make

myself laugh with my corny jokes and

another thing that you could do

is you can

use names to tell stories and in all

honesty it is so much easier to use your

students names from a web session such

as this that it is in a classroom so

imagine if you had a hundred students in

a face-to-face class what are the

chances that you remember at least five

of your students' names and their faces

probably not but in an online situation

what i have is i have on the side of my

screen next to my powerpoint slide a

list of everybody's name so one of the

things that i could do if i'm going

ahead and talking about pushing your

energy i may be able to look at my

roster and say Mariana is really good about

that when she talks to her students in

class she definitely pushes her own

energy in the classroom and that's

something that Paul and Greg do as well

so definitely catch captures their

attention when you use those names

You pause

and breathe you may have heard me do

that a few times not only in the face of

base class but also online here I tend

to speak really fast and then I have to

pull myself back pause and breathe you

can pause and breathe when you're not

quite sure where you're headed if you

lose your train of thought pause and

breathe at the end of a key point when

you're changing slides perhaps at the

end of a sentence or at the end of

really important information a chunk

of information that you have presented students

silence is okay this is an

opportunity to let the information sink

into your skin helps with the retention

helps with reflection as well

do be concise and decisive

do use inflection in your voice this is a great

way for not only emphasizing or showing

off your enthusiasm but you could use

that inflection you can change your tone

you can change your words to capture

your students attention to give them

that auditory notification that

something is really important

again change your voice

take your pauses and raise your voice when

you may want to make a good point

lower your voice when it's necessary

and be sure to do your best to articulate and

enunciate clearly because some students

some learners they like to read your

lips if at all possible if you're not

using a webcam such as myself I had

turned off my webcam you want to be sure

that you articulate and enunciate as

clearly as possible so don't be afraid

to go slow

one thing you want to do or

take into consideration at least is

develop slides for interaction minimize

the amount of text on screen

try to reduce any clutter so if you have

columns of bullet points on your slide

don't be afraid to break that up into

smaller chunks and have multiple slides

again that kind of helps with creating

movement that keeps your students your

audience something to watch on screen

and not get too easily distracted or

draw their attention away from your content

try to avoid eyesores no flashy

colors no click here emotions keep gifs

limited and try to use screenshots for

interactions using screenshots does two

things it reminds you as a presenter

that okay you have a question for your

students you may have noticed earlier

that I had my questions on a slide and I

had a screenshot of the chat tool to

remind you as a participant to use the

chat tool so the second option or

the second reason for using screenshot is

to catch your audience attention

well the truth is you're probably doing it

right now you're probably multitasking

listening to what I have to say I have

limited items or images on my screen so

you're probably checking email checking

something else out but as you move create movement

in the course that draws attention back

because there's that little flash of

color you may have some text and some

screens or images that they maybe

interested in seeing such as on this slide

do you currently have any question

regarding interaction so raise your hand

if you would like to use the microphone use

the chat tool to provide an answer

no questions thank you Mariana yes

confirmation that I haven't lost you all

okay so if you think about this slide

right here Q&A break I have my question

that was my reminder to ask you if you

had any questions I had screenshots that

way if no one has been participating

they have not used blackboard

collaborate ultra in the past they could

look at the screen shot and see oh let

me use the chat tool it looks like this

or oh let me go ahead and raise my

hand it looks like this

but one of the things that I just did is I opened the

phone lines I was giving you an

opportunity to vent to provide a comment

to ask a question about the topic that I

have mentioned such as Greg you

mentioned managing interaction are

their best practices for that especially

for a large class yes perfect segue yes

Greg there is which brings me to the

next slide opening the phone lines one of

the things that I mentioned earlier is

it can be tricky tricky because you

don't want to say are there any

questions and then have everyone asking

questions at the exact same time on the microphone

or having absolute silence

where nobody says anything

so when it comes to managing a large class or even

a small group have some kind of

guidelines some kind of rule maybe one

of your earlier slides could be or

something in the learning management

system could state here are the rules of

the online session feel free to use a

microphone if so raise your hand and

wait until you're called on you may

encourage them to only use the chat tool

but depending on the web conferencing system

that you use such as blackboard

collaborate ultra you can disable

the chat tool from individuals as well

even if you enable the microphone maybe

Rebecca decides to have a side

conversation with a colleague who enters

her office you as the instructor the

presenter can also go and meet through

microphones so recommendation is if you

allow for the use of the microphones

set those ground rules personally my two

cents at least if you're going to have

maybe more than 20 individuals turn the

microphone off leave it off encourage

them to use the chat if needed you can

enable microphone usage for individual

participants in your session

chat tool is going to be everyone's best friends

if you have a large class Greg

recommendation have a partner join you

if at all possible to manage the chat

and we'll talk more about that later

when it comes time to opening the phone

lines and managing interaction

be patient feel free to sit wait one of the

things that I noticed earlier Larry was

having difficulties logging into the

session depending on the web

conferencing system that you use you may

be able to see if someone has a slow

connection or if they're having some

kind of technical problems accessing or

joining that live session so feel free

to take your pauses take your little

breathers give people a little time as

you're going through PowerPoint slide

presentations if they're not like my

presentation with images and you have

text may be several bulleted bullets of

text you definitely want to pause

between slides to give those on a slower

broadband or slower connection time to

have that refresh on their page so I may

be going through here and if I go ahead

and click my slides back it moves

immediately for me but it might take 10

seconds for Katie to then see the slide

that I'm getting ready to talk about so

large classes I recommend just tech

tools

if you allow microphones have those rules

have them raise their hand have a

co-presenter if at all possible and have

more time for pausing and breathing in

between slides especially if you're

sharing your screen if maybe you're

showing a website or showing students

how to use the certain software program

that they're going to use to complete an

assignment take your time and go slow

in addition to opening phone lines

perhaps everyone's favorite is polling

polling is a great way to keep your

students engaged

it's a great way to keep

them interactive

one suggestion that

I personally have is have your poles on

a slide if you are presenting with a

PowerPoint slide or a Google slide create

a slide specific to that question again

it does two things number one it prompts

you at the presenter or remind you to

start a poll a lot of web conferencing

tools such as collaborate ultra WebEx

gotomeeting has a polling tool available

in the system

the second thing that this

does the serves as your backup

I had my fingers crossed earlier

Penny and I were talking about it earlier

technology isn't perfect

yes it's true

so by having your poll questions on a slide

if the poll tool within the web

conferencing system doesn't work you

could then switch gears quietly little

technical issues quietly and

then tell folks okay go ahead and answer

your question provide your answer to

this question in the chat box

so let me go ahead and demonstrate the use of a poll

I have my poll on a slide

question that I am going to ask you in a moment

don't answer yet

is when should you use a pole

would it be number one

immediately to engage the audience

number two to introduce the new topic

number three to understand current level of knowledge

number four at the end of

the topic to test knowledge

or would it be number five all of the above

so I am going to go ahead and begin polling

so you should have a poll that pops up in

the center of your screen

go ahead and provide your answer

I'll give you a hint

it is not number six all right one of the nice

all right one of the nice

things about this if your web

conferencing tool allows you

to use a pole there's a really good chance that

it also lets you know if some

individuals have not responded

so I'm currently looking through this and I

could see that they're I'm lacking two

responses of course one of those is my

own response but there's one other

person who hasn't quite responded yet

so oh and I know who that is

that's Isabelle

ha ok so what I could do is I could go

ahead and I can show the responses

that looks like to be said number three to

understand current level of knowledge

five of you or eight of you said number

five all of the above Isabel and I

haven't responded so that's perfectly

alright we already know the answer

the correct answer is number five

all of the above

absolutely you can in Blackboard Collaborate

you can close the box read

the answers and then reopen the box to respond

so polling definitely immediately

engages your audience it introduces a

it's a great way to introduce a new topic one

of the nice things about this is it

also lets you know if there's a lot of

information that you want to cover but

time is limited you can kind of gauge

the current level of knowledge that your

students are coming into this session with

so right before you hit a main topic ask students

do you want me to

cover this do you feel comfortable

knowing this ask them a question kind of

like a pop quiz ungraded question and

that will let you know if you could skip

that topic altogether if you can kind of

go through it fast or if this is one

topic that you're going to need to spend

a lot of time on now a lot of

instructors also love to have a poll

question at the end of the topic to test

the knowledge did you understand this

what was the definition of this is it A

B C or D so definitely these are

different ways that you can engage your

students in the online course

hint to those of you that are in the data

collection group

iClickers or another

polling software is another way to do

this in a physical face-to-face

classroom environment as well

Mariana I do apologize that you are not able how

to activate the response but hopefully

or maybe we'll have another chance

depending on the time to play around

with it later as well

so is there a how-to for polling in

blackboard collaborate ultra

yes if you go to help.blackboard.com yes try to

remember that correctly and I'll add

that in

the text area as well you will be able

to find how to documentation for using

blackboard collaborate ultra blackboard

collaborate ultra and the old version of

collaborate is integrated in eCampus in

our learning management system

I'm kind of curious to know which group I'm in right

now right but it is available

we also have a resident expert Jacob Wilson in

our department who will also be able to

answer any questions so you can always

email ITS help at tamu.edu or

give us a call at 458-3417

ask about collaborate you'll most likely get

Jacob and he'll be able to answer your

questions about polling but yes there are

how to guides for doing so

drawing tools pros and cons to drawing tools

okay

con is you could have all students

draw at one time I can guarantee you and

from my own past experiences I used to

give a virtual webinar the student

orientations at the last institution

that I worked for

we had drawing tools enabled and guarantee there are immediately

be people to drawing on the screen that

gets a little distracting so you

definitely want to set those ground

rules or depending on your web

conferencing tool that you're using have

it disabled until you actually need it

enabled to allow students if you're going

to allow them to use the drawing tools so

hint hint however there are more benefits

to using the drawing tools

one is to guide the audience eyes so if for

example right now i'm showing my screen

sharing my screen application so i'm not

able to use the drawing tools at the

moment but one of the things that you

can do in all web conferencing tools

because you can import your PowerPoint

directly into the tool once you do so

you have enabled those drawing tools for

you as a presenter always enabled for

you and you can actually draw and

annotate right there on the screen and

your students your audience will be able

to see that live in real time it is

perfect

if you have busy visuals so if you have

a lot of busy visuals maybe you have a

screenshot of a chart you could use the

drawing tool to emphasize or highlight

or point to a certain area that you're

talking about on the chart one of the

questions or one of the examples that

was brought up in yesterday's

face-to-face session is having a large

chart but only talking about one little

segments drawing tools will help that

very helpful during a demo now

Blackboard Collaborate as I mentioned

you cannot share your screen and then

annotate directly on the screen however

there are other tools such as web

meetings that's available through

A & M that allows you to share your

screen and draw directly on your screen

as you are demonstrating a website

or how to use the software program so take

advantage of that if at all possible

one of the examples that I just mentioned is

using drawing tools to grant your

students to be able to participate and

keep them engaged so what I'm going to

do it is i'm going to share a blank

white board

and I want you to take advantage of the

drawing tools that are displayed along

the top of your web browser and feel

free to just start drawing write your

name draw a shape draw on top of

everybody else

didn't have to tell that person twice yes

that is great I love it so I am going to

attempt to do something early I am and

I have my fingers crossed that this is

going to work out fingers crossed

wish me the best of luck

so I'm going to stop the whiteboard for

a moment don't do anything yet hold on

one moment

aw it doesn't work

weII yay technology so examples on how else

you could use the white a white board

and this would require early preparation

unfortunately I had a little technical

issue but there are always work around everything

I love this you can

attempt to set this up

so that you provide your

students with a template of sort

to then annotate directly on the screen so

you can have kind of a worksheet of some

sort remember the punch diagram you can

have something like that on your

whiteboard pros and cons of giving a

live webinar session and then you can

encourage your students your audience to

take advantage of the drawing tools to

then go on here and start annotating

you can also take advantage of this as the

presenter as well if you had a

screenshot I was attempting to put up a

screenshot of Camtasia Studio a moment ago

you could go ahead and take

advantage of the drawing tools to pull up a pointer

do all of you see the pointer

that is dancing below the cons word

so you can also do this to guide your

learners as well

so those are some of the the advantages to using

your drawing tool

yeah thank you for thumbs up

I am excellent or at least that's what

I'm going to tell myself

so in addition

to drawing tools

examples of what you could do

one of the screenshots or the images that I was

trying to put on the board you can upload

images ahead of time prior to starting

your web session in this example one of

the things that I have done in my

student orientations that I've given it

the last institution that I've worked in

is where would you like to travel to or

in that case because a lot of our

students were soldiers where are you

currently located and then they would

take advantage of the drawing tools and

they would highlight that was a whole

lot of fun for them

the other example that I was hoping to show you

was if you were to have a software program I could

have come through here with the drawing

tools permitted and I kind of

highlighted certain areas on here

identified which area is the clip in

where you'll be able to access your

media and the a lot of the effects and tools

which area in camtasia studio is

your preview window which is also an

editable canvas and then which area is

your timeline so of course I don't have

the drawing tool but since I am sharing

my application you most likely see my

mouse cursor along the bottom so again

different work arounds if you have

technical issues don't panic there's

likely a work around and if you have it

on your slide you have your back up as well

another thing that you can do depending

is give your students control

promote them to a presenter most if not all web

conferencing systems allow you to do this

now Greg I do not recommend this

for a large enrollment class

probably best if you have 20 or less students

this is a great way for you to change

presenters maybe your students are

actually giving a speech maybe you're

encouraging them to give a presentation

but you're allowing them to do it from

the comfort of their own home you could

give them that control that you go ahead

and give their presentation this is a

great way to do a mock-up interview as

well to do a mock-up interview as well

so different reasons or different ways

that you give control it's great to

verify understanding if you have a

mathematical problem that you want

students to complete and you want them

to demonstrate that they know the

formulas necessary to answer that

I'm sorry I'm not a math person huh I did it

down I apologize so you can pull up the

whiteboard give someone control to use

that whiteboard again depending on your

web conferencing tool you can block the

whiteboard to everyone except the one

person that you want to have control of

it and they can go ahead and demonstrate

and annotate that problem right there on

the screen

one of the things that happened yesterday is

Center for Teaching Excellence liberal arts and

ITS presented an eight ways training in

our ITS classroom and as you can see

ITS classroom had of major redesign and

we were discussing ways on how to make

the session more engaging for next

semester well one of the suggestions or

the ideals that we came up with is

since everyone was able to switch to

their computer screen on the big screen

go ahead and give them control in a

technical situation especially if you're

showing or demonstrating how to use the

software program maybe get that student

control speak them or talk

them through the steps for doing it and

they're the ones who are presenting and

their learning it too they're getting

that hands-on experience as well as

being guided by you as the instructor and

everyone else gets to see it so you can

always switch control from student to

student give them that learning

opportunity that active learning

opportunity in a virtual situation

it keeps them involved and it makes sure

that they pay attention especially if

you call on your students maybe one of

the goals one of the things that you

state at the beginning of your session

is this is going to be an interactive session

I may call on your name so that

you could demonstrate how to do

something or so that you could talk

about something answer whatever

question that I have specific to you

this also helps encourages your learners

your students to really pay attention in

that web session where as you know with

technology it's so easy to switch to

another tab or browser and look up

something else and do something else as well

so with that do I have a volunteer

to share their screen with the group

alright on your mark get set

okay good yeah

so what I am going to do for you Greg is I

kept giving you moderator access so if

you haven't done so I want you to go

ahead and click on the purple arrow

icons at the bottom right again only

Greg could do this

select the share

content icon so it will be the third tab

so you have your chat you then have the

participants and then you have a share

content and then go ahead and share application

make sure you have work

appropriate items on your computer

before you do that so as Greg is doing

this one thing to keep in mind if you do

allow your students to do this is they may have to

yeah Greg got that fast

they may have to install a plug-in so

something to keep in mind if you are

having them share an application no

matter what web conferencing system

they're using maybe you let them know

ahead of time or what I was going to do

for Greg if it was going to take him awhile

is that it's going to buy time by

continuing my lecturette so Greg feel

free to pull up another website

do you have a favorite like short video clip

or commercial you want to show us

or not

I think we lost Greg

But he gets the general idea Greg is able to

share his application he is able to show

off a website maybe I want him to show

me what tools that he's going to be

incorporating in the technology matrix

document it so I could have him pull up

his website I could have him access that

website think about if you're giving

your students a tutorial or you're

having virtual office hours maybe a

student comes to you and say I don't

understand how to see this part of the

assignment can you tell me how to do

this well you could definitely provide

them with the screen instead of you

showing them how to do it you talk them

through the steps so that they can

retain that information a lot better

yes a video yeah

that's a nice video

there we go fantastic thank you Greg

I am going to demote you now

so

just a few ideals

when it comes to using a webcam you

definitely want to look into the webcam

lens because this is your eye contact

with the student you want to use it

periodically you may have noticed that I

used it at the very beginning when I was

introducing myself or when I was

welcoming everyone that was joining the

session as I was giving an introduction

to the session and then I went ahead and

cut off my webcam because the last

thing I wanted you to do was be

distracted with my visual so to speak

another thing regarding the webcam again

have that icon definitely want to have

that eye contact you don't want to clutter background

so

if at all possible try to avoid clutter background

if you have something that's not

appropriate so to speak have a lot of

toys get rid of that I was looking at a

lot of your webcams those of you that

shared your webcam your backgrounds are

perfect you definitely want to make sure

that you have plenty of lighting in your

office I have to admit I've been moved

to Jacob's office I've also been demoted

to the back but fortunately I have

enough lighting in here so that's quite nice

another thing you want to make sure you

do is try to keep your camera level to

your head and I'm struggling with this a

little bit earlier but you do have that

option of preview before you actually

share your camera and a lot of web

conferencing tools especially in

collaborate you don't want your camera

angled up does anybody want to take a

guess as to why you don't want your

camera lower and angled up at you

guesses

haha Katy yes don't want to look up your

no one wants to look up your nose

that gets really distracting

people looking up your nose that's correct

so if at all possible keep the

camera level don't have a top-down view

don't have a bottom of you don't have it

angled also one of the things that you

definitely want to avoid is you want to

avoid looking at your screen which is

another reason why I turned off my

webcam because you kind of lose that

engagement with your students they're

distracted from looking at the

PowerPoint slide presentation or the

application that you're sharing with them

their focused more on you and then of

course even though how do I say this

even though you're not in the same room

they feel a little disengaged because you

don't have that eye contact you're too

busy looking at your monitor you're too

busy looking at your second monitor

monitor or being distracted with

anything else that's going on in your

office you also don't want your webcam

on too long because you may have a lot

of students that get a little noisier

interested and start looking at your

background behind you as well

reason I say that is because I have worked with

instructors that had a bookcase behind

them in particular and they had an

object it was a computer science course

so they had a different computer related

object and they switched it for every

live session that they did and they gave

students one point extra credit for

identifying what changed in the

background so you can see that but you

don't want students staring maybe have

that at the beginning of your webcam at the

beginning have it again at the end or in

my case explaining or demonstrating how

to best use the webcam so now I'm going

to go ahead and cut off my webcam so I

can focus on the PowerPoint

last thing that I want to talk about

is the use of a producer actually kind

of going back to the question that Greg had

about how to manage interaction in a

large enrollment course

the producer is just one name it could be a co-presenter

it could be a moderator it could be a

host really this is somebody that is your

co-pilot yeah I think that's the

best way to say that best to use if you

have 20 or more individuals or as some

of you mentioned prior to the start of

this session if you're not familiar with

the web conferencing tool that you're

using then maybe if you had 10 or more

individuals definitely have that

producer by your side not literally they

could be at their own computer

this producer can manage technology so one of

the things that I mentioned earlier is

technology isn't perfect there's that

potential that technology may go wrong

for you as a presenter so having that

producer if for whatever reason you get

kicked out the producer can continue

where you left off stall for a little

bit while you get yourself adjusted and

get back into the session but at the

same time what if your learners had

some technical issues what if all of a

sudden Mariana cannot hear audio

she puts in a chat message that says I

cannot hear audio can you help me out

while you as the presenter the

instructor can't just drop everything

that you're doing to help this one

individual you're actually teaching to

your entire course so the producer could

definitely come in and help out with any

technical issues that take place

the producer going back to managing

interaction can help manage background

conversations so maybe there's a

question that is not really applicable

to the course as a whole that producer

can take a look at the chat answer

immediate questions that won't

necessarily be available to the class or

pertinent to the class as a whole but at

the same time they are that chat monitor

so as you notice you're welcome

ask questions at any time I am

comfortable with that I am comfortable with

collaborate we have a nice small group

but if there were more individuals like

Isabel has joined a moment ago I may ask

Isabel to monitor the chat and then at

some point when I'm ready to open the

phone lines I would then ask Isabel

Isabel are there any questions that

people have post them in the chat so

that I don't have to personally go back

and forth from the chat and you know be

distracted with a chat and then talk

about what it is but I'm presenting on

the slide another thing that comes in

handy is having two voices so if you

have mentioned that when Jennifer and I

presented together that it was kind of

nice because we bounce off of each other

well that created a more relaxing

environment so maybe even consider

having that co-producer to be that

second voice to have more of an informal-ish

type of online setting for your

students

are some of the training industry's best

practices for having an interactive

webinar are there any questions

if you don't have questions go ahead and

give me a no or some kind of a smiley

face of some sort where do you get

images for your presentation you mean

for any general presentations or the

presentations that I have been using

so personally I am using Microsoft

PowerPoint I just go ahead and select

the option for

option for hello going to my insert tab

and I just use online pictures so for

me the benefit of doing this is with

Microsoft fingers crossed that it comes

up I could then go ahead and put in my

keyword search and Microsoft already

automatically searches for images

through the creative commons so I don't

have the copyright issues so that's how

I find a lot of my images you can also

search and well there's more information

in module 3 related to this but you can

also search a soft photography for

example flickr if you go to flickr.com

you can search for images through the

creative commons more file is another

one there are a lot of different options

you could go directly to Wikipedia and

search their Creative Commons' images and

videos as well

questions

several of you don't have questions

Hope you enjoyed this session hopefully you

found it helpful how many of you are

currently using a web conferencing tool

to facilitate some synchronous sessions

with your students whether it's a

virtual office hours or actual one hour

two hour sessions hand raises yes or

no's in the chat box

have not with these tips is this

something that you might consider

okay not sure how to make it work in your

course possibly one of the things I

highly recommend in fact Lisa from Bush

School does this all the time before you

do it have a trial run you're always

very welcome to contact members of ITS

contact your colleagues your peers

someone in your department someone

outside of the system and then try it

out if you are using eCampus for example

in all of your courses including your

practice course your development course

that we created for you you do have

access to a room so you can practice

using the room see how that works out

for you so a recommendation is

definitely practice and see what happens

there what software is needed if I

wanted to connect undergraduate students

with public schools to promote stem and

going to college if you're speaking

about virtual connection so to speak

such as this session a lot of web

conferencing tools to include

collaborate which we're using right now

allows you to generate a guest share URL

so that's actually what is in the

eCampus course right now you haven't you

logged in with your credentials in the

eCampus to access it but I could have used that

same URL and emailed it to someone who's

not affiliated with A & M so this is also

a great way to bring in guest speakers

that may be working in the industry or

with another institution so in regards

to software it's just a matter of

finding the right web conferencing tool

that allows for that guest URL

other questions

for the first time I'm finishing early

if you do have questions feel free to

let me know if you are interested to

learn more about blackboard collaborate

ultra I recommend sending that email to

ITS help and again you'll most likely be

directed to Jacob and Jacob is our

resident expert he's awesomely bought

for collaborate and he'll be able to

help you with anything that you want to

know such as the polling question that

was asked earlier so any tips tricks and

if you're interested in what features

may be coming in the pipeline or what's

on the road now one of the things that

we don't have with ultra is breakout

rooms but that's something that we're

hoping to have hopefully by the end of the

year of course I used something that I

said don't use which is the word hope

but something to take into consideration

there's also the old version of

Blackboard Collaborate which does allow

for breakout rooms again that's one

thing that you can use as well I didn't

mention it here because i'm using ultra

can demonstrate breakout rooms but you

can't actually break out have students

break out in a group within a virtual

session if your tool allows it so thank

you for your time you are all going to

receive credit get a participation

credit and i hope you have a great

afternoon

Trump is Fighting on the Side of the Terrorists - Duration: 4:20.

I can assume that Putin was watching everything live and in real time.

And by 9AM these lean and crystal clear comments appeared on the Kremlin website:

Russian President calls America's strikes over Syria

an aggression against a sovereign government

and a violation of international law.

And all for a contrived pretext.

The Syrian army has no supply of chemical weapons.

The destruction of all of the Syrian military's chemical weapons

was registered and confirmed

by the UN special division, the OPCW.

And that is exactly how it is.

Besides, this UN division the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW),

for its scrupulous work in Syria, and together with the Syrian government,

for its destruction of Syria's chemical arsenal,

received high-level international recognition

and even a Nobel Prize, for conducting this operation.

It's clear that the terrorists still have some stocks of poisonous chemicals left.

But it is the terrorists who have them.

They have been caught more than once near Aleppo.

These crimes have been documented.

And in Iraq as well, as told to the world officially by Baghdad.

But, at that time, the US chose to ignore it.

Now they have decided to wake up, make up a reason, and strike without thinking.

Trump's biggest argument, as he said himself, was that he has no doubts.

Lack of doubts?

What does that even mean?

When announcing his decision, Trump didn't refer to any proven facts.

If he keeps doing business with Russia like this,

then getting along with Putin, which Trump once talked about quite often,

will definitely not be possible.

And making a "deal" with Russia, and Trump considers himself the master dealmaker,

will be impossible as well.

A small detail:

This all occurred just before the visit of US Secretary of State Tillerson next week.

They couldn't have prepared for this in a worse manner.

President Putin stated as such via the Kremlin Press service:

USA's strike on the Syrian Air Base

significantly harms the Russian-American relationship,

which was in awful shape to begin with.

The Kremlin already clearly sees the changes

in the words and actions of the new administration for the worst.

First, if Trump used to talk about a joint fight against terrorism,

he doesn't anymore.

Second, if Trump once talked about interference

in other countries' internal affairs as a bad idea,

and the unacceptability of overthrowing their governments,

now he has chosen to embark on this path.

Third, if Trump used to warn Obama of striking Syria,

now he has committed that same crime himself.

In many ways, Trump did a 180 degree turn.

and now he's definitely not the same character

who was just recently so well-liked by so many people.

Stating Putin's position on the recent military attack

the Kremlin Press service adds:

What matters is that this step doesn't bring us closer

in the fight against international terrorism.

On the contrary, it creates serious obstacles

to creating an international coalition to fight it,

as well as an effective opposition to this global scourge.

This is what US President Donald Trump

made one of the priority tasks

during his election campaign.

It's a veiled fact that America is objectively acting,

and even fighting on the terrorists' side.

With more honesty, Vladimir Safronkov spoke of this in the UN Security Council.

More about this coming up.

But why does Trump seem so ready to press the red missile attack button

in such an impulsive and, even nervous fashion?

It's all quite simple.

Inside the US itself, he's not doing well at all.

Sheriff Trump Strikes First, then Asks Questions - Duration: 3:47.

On late Thursday night, America attacked Syria.

Until now, Americans were flying over Syria.

They transferred Special Ops and weapons there.

From the international rights POV, it was illegal.

They weren't invited there.

Not by Syria itself, not by UNSC.

But they justified it with the necessity to fight terrorists.

Now America has hit Syria itself.

They hit the government forces base, that fights terrorists.

This is a completely different situation.

We have a few footages on this issue.

Let me remind you that at 3.40 AM UTC+3:00

two American vessels carried out a massive missile strike

onto the Shayrat Air Base of the Syrian Air Force.

That was 59 tomahawks.

The Shayrat Air base was chosen because

earlier this week Syria launched

two assault flights to the Idlib province.

It's a known fact that this territory is controlled by the ISIS and Al-Nusra terrorists.

The targets for this Syrian air strike were

a huge factory and a chemical ammo storage.

A whole arsenal in Khan Shaykhun.

The poison was prepared by terrorists to be used in Syria and Iraq.

After the bombing a lethal neuro-paralytic gas, sarin spread everywhere.

Dozens of people died from it, adults and kids.

This story caused a huge resonance in the world.

It hasn't been properly investigated, understood or proven yet.

But there are already a bunch of accusations towards Damascus and Russia.

Like, Bashar Al-Assad uses chemical bombs via air.

And Russia supposedly supports him.

It's absurd.

What's important is that Assad has no reason to use chemical weapons.

It makes no sense for him.

And all the chemical weapons in Syria were, under strict international control,

fully relocated and destroyed.

However, US President Trump

instantly and single-handedly decides on immediate military aggression and murders.

And it's not based on hard facts,

but justifying it with fears and suspicions.

He's acting by the rules for Sheriffs,

created by a detective genre classic American writer Erle Gardner.

"Shoot first, ask questions later."

Tonight I ordered a targeted military strike on Syrian positions

where the chemical attack originated from.

This is an issue of the safety of our country.

The attempts to change Assad's behavior have failed.

Across the globe,

only the newcomers of international politics can act this way,

they still have no victories or defeats behind them.

Meaning that they have no experience in the international politics, tabula rasa,

so they are without a care in the world.

Considering how big the US military power is,

and it is now ruled in this manner,

the world is now at an extremely dangerous point.

Pippa Middleton's Wedding Date Revealed Amid Rumors of a Meghan Markle Ban. - Duration: 2:28.

Pippa Middletons Wedding Date Revealed Amid Rumors of a Meghan Markle Ban.

Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate Middleton, will be getting married very soon!

The 33-year-old will tie the knot with fianc James Matthews at St. Marks Church in Englefield,

England on May 20, according to E! News.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Prince Harry are all expected to attend.

Kates son Prince George is said to serve as a page boy, while daughter Princess Charlotte

will act as a bridesmaid.

The news comes hot on the heel of rumors that Pippa has forbidden Harrys girlfriend,

Meghan Markle, from attending the nuptials for fear that their much talked-about relationship

will steal the spotlight.

Many British tabloids, including The Sun, are providing much fodder, claiming a no

ring, no bring policy is in place.

Its clear Pippa doesnt want to be outshone by any TV babes on her big day,

a source says, adding future brother-in-law Spencer Matthews has also allegedly been advised

not to make his girlfriend, reality star Vogue Williams, be his plus one.

Pippas view is that Vogues relationship with Spencer is still very new.

It wouldnt be appropriate for her to be there after just a few months of dating,

the insider dishes.

But some people in the circle are pretty shocked because this is her future brother-in-law

whos going to end up attending on his own.

Its certainly raised eyebrows.

The gossip mill started churning in March when Harry brought Meghan to pal Tom Inskip

and Lara Hughes-Youngs wedding in Jamaica, prompting rumors that the date inspired Pippa

to put a ban on girlfriends at her ceremony.

She saw how all eyes were on Meghan rather than Lara last week.

The situation was also stressful for Harry.

Pippa and her mother Carole wonder whether Meghans presence could cause a great deal

of unnecessary chaos, a source told the Daily Mail at the time.

Pippa and James, a hedge fund boss, got engaged last summer after after a year of dating.

Theyve known each other for more than a decade.

Alkemi: Förvandla Din Metall Till Guld // Alchemy: Turn Your Metal Into Gold - Duration: 15:03.

Alchemy is an old chemical working or artform where it is said they would transform less valuable metals into

more valuable metals, such as gold.

The basic idea of alchemy is to maximize the potential of something.

And we can use the concept of alchemy not only when it comes to physical substances,

but we can use the metafor of alchemy to our benefit when it comes to our psychology or spirituality.

And in this video, I want to tell you my perspective on how we can do that!

I would say that nothing within this universe really happens by coincidence.

It only seems that way when we haven't yet seen or understood the whole picture and how everything is interconnected.

Nothing happens without a cause and consequence.

And another word for cause, could be described as focused intention.

So since coincidence ultimately is illusion, this means that our lives and everything around it

don't happen by coincidence either, or without cause, it happens through focused intention.

So the universe projects itself into subjective or singular perspectives so that it can, through these perspectives,

explore certain dynamics, contrasts and polarities so that it can learn within itself and expand.

In other words, when we are born as children we are born with certain preferences, talents, traits and personalities

that are in alignment with and will benefit whatever a perspective wants to express and explore through a specific life.

And when we study children we will see that children very early show signs of their individual preferences and expressions.

But the problem is that humanity where it is today, is generally at a place where we are not yet able to

love ourselves and others unconditionally. (Love is conditional within the human species.)

It is a beautiful thought to think that we do, but if we're brutally honest about where humanity is right now,

we'll realize that humanity is a conditionally loving species.

If we all loved unconditionally, this society would look A WHOLE LOT different from what it does right now.

People of our society are only capable of loving within the frame of what they're capable of loving within themselves.

This means that not all of these traits, preferences, talents and personalities that we are naturally born with,

not all of them will be met with love by our environment and the society.

When certain parts of us are not met with love, we subconsciously learn that we need to suppress and deny

these parts within us in order to be able to be loved, accepted and quite frankly to survive in this human society.

Because we know on some level, that without love... we will die.

So the act of suppressing and denying certain parts within ourselves is a pure survival mechanism. (A totally understandable one.)

This process of peeling of certain aspects of ourselves in order to be loved, is what many would call the process of socialization.

But the act of suppressing and resisting our authentic nature, is also one who leads to a whole lot of suffering.

Why? Because our life intentions or our authentic nature so to speak, is always in alignment with health, positive emotions and happiness.

And the way the universe holds us in line with that, is by our bodies nerv-system sending out signals that either

feel good and enjoyable to us, or that feel bad and not so enjoyable to us.

In order words, it is our emotional states that tells us if we are in alignment with our authentic nature and life intentions.

All that we are, we are because there is a purpose for it.

And that purpose could be described as universal expansion and growth.

And when we hold resistance to the roles we came here to express and play, it will translate as negative emotions in our bodies.

So it's not only that it feels really bad to not "be yourself", so to speak,

but it's also that it doesn't benefit the universal growth and expansion as much as it would if we followed our positive emotions.

This means that in life, we have two choices.

Either we hold resistance against the pure nature of the perspectives or roles we came here to express and explore,

which will translate as negative emotion and it will feel like suffering to us.

Or, we embrace ourselves.

Which will feel like positive emotion to us and which will hold the key towards happiness and health.

But since every person who is watching this video probably already grew up in this society,

then we have already been damaged.

We have already learned the falseness that not all parts of us are lovable and acceptable.

We have therefor already suppressed and ignored these parts within us.

But if we want to be in alignment with health and happiness, we need to find our way back to that authenticity and those suppressed parts of us.

Our job now is to find a way to love and embrace those aspects within us that society weren't able to love and embrace within us.

We need to find a way to transform what society has valued as metal, into something that in our eyes are worth gold.

On a higher level there is nothing that is not lovable. Because you could say that fundamentally, everything is love.

It is a choice to love someone or something.

And it is a choice to distant oneself from someone or something out of fear, in the form of what we call hate.

There is no objective valuation that some things are more lovable than others.

This is the fear-based hierarki we create as humans.

The ability to love someone or something does not depend on that someone or somethings way of being.

It depends on how the eye of the beholder is ABLE to love and value that someone or something.

When we have a child in front of us, it isn't their job to be and express in a way that we are capable of loving.

It is our job to find a way to love and value whatever they happen to be.

The same thing with ourselves and our "inner children" or whatever you feel like calling it.

Our job on this planet isn't to figure out who and what to be in order to be loved and accepted.

Our job is to find a way to love, value, embrace and see the purpose behind whatever it is we are.

We don't suffer because we are what we are fundamentally, we suffer because we are at war with our authentic nature.

And whatever we are an authentic expression of there is a purpose for.

In a universe that prioritizes growth, expansion and evolution more than anything else,

there would be no point of there existing something within it that didn't serve the expansion in some way.

Maybe the case is that right now these metaphysical concepts seem too complicated or maybe too "hokus-pokus" for you.

I'm at least asking you to open up to the possibility that maybe there is a greater purpose for what you are here to express.

For reasons that maybe you aren't ready to understand right now...

So in order to stop suffering because we are at war with ourselves,

we do not only need to find acceptance for what we are.

But we also need to find a way to GENUINELY LIKE what we are.

And by that I mean: falling in love with these parts of you to the degree that if you had the choice,

you would have chosen them over and over and over again.

And I understand that it might be hard to imagine that right now if you are a person who really are at world war with yourself.

But I promise you that it is absolutely possible that the very same aspects within you that you currently might dislike or hate,

could potentially be the very same aspects of you that in the future you will CELEBRATE.

Personally I like the idea of exploring oneself in creative ways.

So of course I will encourage you to do that in this video as well.

You could brainstorm your own different ways of how to find the golden value within things.

You could take an aspect of yourself that you currently do not like about yourself,

and then write a list of things that are good, valuable or beneficial about that aspect.

You could do an experiment with this for a whole month if you want to.

Where each day for a month you pick out a new aspect about yourself that you don't like, and then write that list about that aspect.

And then see if something has happened within you after that month.

And when you write this list you don't need to force yourself to think of things you really don't value in them,

write down things that you genuinely value about them.

And feel free to write down as many things as possible on this list.

In order to explain this a bit better I could give you an example from my own life.

One aspect within myself that I used to REALLY NOT LIKE, is my sensitivity.

I am one of those people who will start crying for what seems like nothing to others,

I can walk into a room and break down because everything around me is too intense,

I can cry for hours,

I feel my own and other peoples emotions quite strongly and intensely.

I get uncomfortable with being around other people for too long because I need to take breaks and be alone. And so on...

I used to perceive this as weakness.

And the impulse is then often to try to not be sensitive, try to push it away or try to overcompensate for it.

Which is resistance and will feel like suffering.

So I realized... FUCK. This seems to be a genuine and authentic aspect of me, a truth about me that I can't run from.

It seems to stay no matter how much I try to avoid it...

So instead, I allowed myself to find the gold within my sensitivity.

And what I found were things like:

My sensitivity makes it so that I feel into other peoples emotional state very strongly, and allows me to understand them on a deeper level.

My sensitivity makes it so that I can relate to other people who are really sensitive.

My sensitivity makes me a better artist.

My sensitivity makes life very intense and beautiful and I feel highly alive.

My sensitivity makes it really hard for other people to succeed in lying to me.

My sensitivity makes it extremely hard for me to do things that are not right for me,

and therefor keeps me strongly in alignment what is right and healthy for me.

My sensitivity makes it so that I can feel what is not healthy about this society, and therefor I can contribute to making positive changes to it.

And so on!!!

We can also do this process when it comes to events in our lives and also when it comes to other people.

Because the aspects that we hate or dislike within others, are simply mirrors of what we don't approve of within ourselves.

It's just that it's often a highly subconscious thing.

Being an alchemist, in the form of maximizing the potential or value of aspects and expressions within us,

is not to try to change the essence of the aspects in and of themselves.

It is to refine our own view and perception of them.

It is to take what we and the rest of the world previously has marked as the value of metal,

and find a way to start valuing it as gold.
