【VNN】Weekly News Review #26【March 19th-25th】 - Duration: 3:07.

Hello everyone and welcome to VNN's weekly news review.

I'm Kris here to bring you all the vocal synth goodness.

Yukari definitely dominated this week's review with quite a bit of news.

Miku, the Crypton VOCALOIDs, and UNI made appearances as well, though!

There wasn't a ton of news but, as always, it's quality over quantity.

So, let's get started!

First, we have our Miku news!

Two Hatsune Miku themed PlayStation 4 top covers have been announced for Japan this April.

The covers' designs are based on the popular games Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, with each priced at ¥3,000 JPY (about $27 USD).

The VR Future Live top cover is open for pre-order via Sony Store Japan, while the Project DIVA Future Tone top cover sale is exclusive to Sony Store Sapporo.

Both top covers will launch on April 1st.

Additionally, Sony also offers deals for PlayStation 4 together with the top cover priced at ¥31,980 JPY (about $288 USD) for the 500 gigabyte model and ¥36,980 JPY (about $333 USD) for the 1 terabyte model.

If you're a maid cafe fan and plan to be in Germany the first week of August, there's some unofficial Crypton VOCALOID goodness.

Maido no Kisetsu is working with our partner VocalNexus to create a Crypton VOCALOID inspired maid cafe for AnimagiC 2017.

The con takes place from August 4th 'til the 6th in Mannheim, Germany, at the Congress Center Rosengarten.

They'll have themed food and costumes, so be sure to check them out if you go to the con!

Yukari is also partnering up with someone, though in a much more serious role.

We all hate those dreaded telephone scammers, but Yukari's VOICEROID bank is helping people be more aware of them!

Now if only we could get her to tell them to buzz off!

Using the Digi Police app, the crime prevention and alert app from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, users can listen to Police Woman Yukari speak various Japanese phrases scam artists use to try to get money from you.

In addition, Yuzuki Yukari's production team VOCALOMAKETS is collaborating with NOAH College in Japan to bring fans a rare opportunity to learn or sharpen their VOCALOID skills in a university setting!

On April 9th and 23rd, they will be holding three seminars at their Komazawa studio in Tokyo!

Two of the sessions will be aimed at beginner and intermediate VOCALOID users, teaching the basics of VOCALOID usage, while the remaining session will be aimed at more experienced VOCALOID users, delving deeper into the area of tuning a VOCALOID voice.

The seminars will be free to attend, but each can only seat up to 30 participants, so hopefuls need to apply soon.

And last but not least, we have some fantastic UNI news!

She's now available for digital download!

She's currently available on Character Planet for ₩124,000 KRW (about $110 USD) and she'll be available in the English VOCALOID store very soon.

Hair Bow Flower Card and Gift - Duration: 6:25.

For this really cute little card, what we did was we glued a piece of grosgrain along

the bottom of the card, and then I found this really cool burlap that sort of looks like

a fence.

So, I glued this on.

And then what we did was we glued a little bit on the back, but covered it with card

stock so that you don't see the ends on the inside of the card.

Now what I'm going to do is just put the card to the side for a second, take my Mini Bowdabra,

and we are going to make some flower hair clips.

So, I'm folding my bow wire in half and laying it down into my Mini Bowdabra.

I'm just going to bring the ends around to the back and kind of tuck them under.

Then what I'm going to do is take my organza, or sheer ribbon, and I'm just going to put

a little piece in.

I'm only putting a little bit on the end, and you'll see why in a minute.

So, I'm going to make all my loops.

And so, each side, I'm just going to make a little, tiny loop, because you're not even

going to see these when we're finished.

So, this is the top of the flower on this side.

So again, I'm just going to make a little, tiny loop and fold this, and this one I think

I'm going to twist it.

And again, just a little, tiny one, and I'm going to twist it here.

Fold it back and twist it.

Fold it back over here.

And twist it back so we have like a really cute flower forming.

And I think this makes absolutely adorable little card/gift for anyone.

But for a little girl.

Then what I'm going to do is take my green grosgrain, and I'm just going to make a little

loop on this side and twist that in.

And again, make a small loop there.

And just finish this off so it kind of looks like there's a little green around the bottom

of the flower.

And I'll scrunch that into my Mini Bowdabra.

And now I'm going to just pull the wire through the slipknot, pull it really, really tight,

separate the ends, bring it around to the back.

And I want to make sure that I double-knot this really, really tightly, and do one more

knot, because I'm going to end up cutting the ends on the other side to make it so it

will glue really easily onto the hair clip.

So, we're going to cut the Bowdabra Bow Wire.

Whoops.

And now I'm also going to clip all of these ends, so when I do glue it onto my hair clip

they're not going to be too bulky.

So now, what I've done is I've already taken my grosgrain and I just glued it on the top

and the inside of my hair clip.

Then what I'm going to do is just place this piece about -- well, I guess if you really

wanted to measure, fold it in half and find the center.

And I'm just going to lay this, the center, into my hair clip, and I'm just going to leave

that for a minute.

Then I'm going to take my glue gun and I'm going to put a little bit of glue right on

the back of my flower.

Then I'm going to just lay that at the top of my clip and glue that on.

Then what I'm going to do is put -- I want to cover up my wire and finish my flower off.

So, I'm going to just pull this down here, put a little bit of glue here.

Then I'm going to just bring this side up here, because this is sort of like -- but

I need it to cover, so I'll make sure it covers your wire.

And put another piece of glue right here.

And as I bring this side up, that's also going to cover.

And I think I need to just clip this a little bit shorter.

So now, you have this cute little flower hair clip.

Now just to make things easier, I've made another card, and so what we've done here

is we clip the flower through the fence, and you have a really cute card and gift all in

one.

I collected all the twigs, take a

rectangle card paper and paste the twig

top of it with hot glue gun

paste it in the center

be careful while pasting it

the second one closer to it this way

all over you have to adjust while pasting

keep on repeating

Gran 'accidentally' reveals sordid family secret about grandson's father

A routine visit to see his grandmother resulted in more questions than answers

Theres never a good time to find out youve been lied to your whole life, but you perhaps least expect it to come from a routine visit to your grandmothers house.

When a family secret - which has been kept from you your whole life - relates to your parentage, you can expect the effects to be manifold.

One American teen is discovering this for himself, after being dealt an unexpected bombshell by his gran.

The young lads world has been turned upside down. Not only did she reveal some harsh truths about his parents, but she assumed he already knew what was going on. Now he has more questions than answers.

I was at my grandmas house yesterday talking to my grandma and she brought up how my dad isnt actually my dad, the nineteen year-old lad began on Reddit. His gran assumed everyone knew about his real dad.

She said she thought I already knew, and she thought it was just something we never talk about. Prior to the revelations, the teen, known only as uancmb thought his mum had married his dad because she had got conceived him.

But the truth was somewhat different. I have three older siblings from a different dad, Ill name him Tom.

My mum married Tom and had my three older siblings. Then Tom and her start fighting a lot, and Tom started having an affair. His mum had a husband when she started sleeping with her boss.

Things got worse and a lot more complicated from this point. So my mum got a job as a receptionist where her boss gave her attention. she started f****** him and he got her pregnant.

His mums boss wanted her to have an abortion, something which she refused to do.

She ended up giving to birth to me while still with Tom, and I had his last name. But very shortly after they divorced and my mum met my dad who raised me, - call him John.

She married him and I got Johns last name.. But she refused to have an abortionJohn raised the boy and his older siblings as his own.

What has shocked the lad is not just how the man he thought was his biological father is not, but also how his family have frequently referred to features he inherited from him.

Not to the mention the heartache of learning his siblings arent full-blood relations to him. Its all so hard to accept and understand that I have been acting completely normal and honestly not even thinking about it much.

But my problem is I want to know who my biological dad is. I want to find out if I have any siblings on that side. Should his grandmother have kept quiet? .

Im guessing he probably wont want anything to do with me but I really need to know.

I also really want to talk to my mom and dad about this, but my grandma told me she wanted to keep that between me and her..

As for the responses, it was he grandmother who came under fire the most, never mind what went on with his mum. It is a huge piece of information to get your head around.

One thing which did come up repeatedly was that, whatever the truth was, the man who raised him was his real dad.

Mans NINE THOUSAND mile journey to meet his birth mother in Russia ends with a heartwarming twist. Other comments urged the boy to not let this affect his relationship with John .

And one user had the perfect words of comfort for the young man. Genetically aside, I think John is very much your real dad.

In fact, he was by choice, which I think speaks to the character of John that he was willing to treat you as well as your other siblings is a testament to Johns caring nature.

You are not unique in this situation, as adopted people have to deal with this all the time. As far as why they never told you, its because John considers you his son. Always will be..
