Waching daily Apr 12 2017

What about mom?

Not yet.

The scan must be taking a while.

What if her cancer is back?

What if she needs surgery again,

or what if there's no hope...

Don't be ridiculous.

It's probably stomach cramps from stress.

But she's been getting indigestion.

It's not cancer!

It's probably just stress from what happened.

This is that woman's fault.

Why did she blow up at mom

instead of taking it up with her dad?

You're to blame, too.

If you knew mom was seeing Bitna's father,

you should've stopped mom.

Mom said nothing was going on.

If nothing was going on,

would Bitna have come to the laundry

to tell mom to leave him?

It makes no sense.

Eunsu.

The scan is done.

Mother's pain has subsided a lot.

Let's go.

(Episode 90)

Why are you making breakfast,

not Eunsu?

Eunsu's not home.

Her mother was rushed to the emergency room.

She's there with Suho.

Oh, my goodness.

Eunsu must be in shock.

So you made all this, Seonyeong?

Who else would have?

When Eunsu's not here, it all falls on me.

At least you give me credit for my hard work.

I woke up early to eat Eunsu's cooking.

I should've slept in.

Excuse me? Geez, Sunjeong.

What are you doing?

Looking for leftovers from Eunsu's cooking.

Did we finish the shepherd's purse and konjac?

Right.

Eunsu made a lot of shepherd's purse.

Look carefully.

What's with all of you?

Come now. Let's have breakfast.

Dad, we're going to Pyeongchang-dong this evening.

It's mother's death anniversary.

Is it?

It's the first rite since you've gotten married,

so pay your respects properly.

Send our regards to your grandma and dad.

I will, father.

I'm off.

Do you know what day this is?

Don't get home late.

Yes, mother.

I'm sorry, mom.

I startled you, didn't I?

Why would you even ask?

You didn't take care of yourself like I told you to.

You never listen. You never do.

Eunho.

Stop talking. You'll wear yourself out.

What did the doctor say?

The X-ray and CT scan were clean.

We made an appointment for an endoscopy.

They'll get her in right away.

Good job.

You should get to work.

You'll be late.

You go home, too.

I'll stay here.

You need to study, though.

It's just one day.

I'll call when we get the endoscopy results.

Take grandma home.

Thanks, Suho.

Don't worry, Eunho.

Thank you for bringing me.

You didn't get any sleep because of mom.

I'm sorry.

Don't apologize.

You must be tired.

Will you be okay?

I'm fine. Get going.

Oh? I didn't come to drop you off.

Then why did you come?

Mr. Yoon Suho.

Suhyeon.

I heard that your mother-in-law fell ill.

How is she?

Much better now,

although she's still at the hospital.

What a relief.

But what was the sudden problem?

Something very stressful happened to her.

I hope she gets better soon.

But Suhyeon,

we thought about the lagging sales

of the new product.

Why don't we change the marketing strategy?

Will it make any difference?

We should still try the best we can.

Okay. Meet with the Planning Team.

Unlike our existing products, our new product

targets young, single-person household consumers.

But since this is our first ready-to-eat product,

we believe that younger consumers

don't have exposure to our brand.

That's true.

Our main consumer base is middle-aged-plus.

Young people may

bypass the product,

thinking it's from a no-name brand.

So we thought about making

active use of social media.

We can pique consumer interest with pictures

of a meal with Well-Being Doenjang Stew.

We'll need more to catch young people's attention.

We need something more conceptually specific.

Then how about this?

Many ready-to-eat products look so different

from the pictures on the packaging

that we often feel betrayed.

But our product has a lot inside,

so we show that this alone can constitute

a hearty meal.

We show just much tofu

and baked lentils are in the pouch.

That's a good idea.

It'd be good to post a video of someone

opening it and putting the stew in a bowl.

Okay. Let's do that then.

Okay.

Eunsu, aren't you tired?

I'm fine.

Okay. Should we shoot the video now?

- Mr. Yoon Suho. / - Yes.

We should start with the doenjang, right?

If no patient is waiting,

I'm going to the bookstore for a bit.

Okay. Go ahead, Dr. Yoon.

Huh? Nurse Seo,

why are you wearing heels?

Oh. I have a blind date tonight,

so I went all out.

Isn't a nice dress enough for a blind date?

Aren't those uncomfortable?

I can't walk in heels like that all day.

They are uncomfortable.

Still, I can't live without heels.

They make a woman's body look fabulous.

They do?

Of course, Dr. Yoon.

Even if you have a regular build,

heels make you look like a bombshell.

- I'm off. / - Okay.

(Dr. Yoon Sumin)

Pick up the phone right now.

If you don't, I'm coming to your house.

Hello?

Why didn't you just answer?

Venus flytrap.

Excuse me?

Didn't you see my text? Don't contact me.

Whatever.

Come to the clinic later.

What for?

Don't you miss me?

Please come.

Dr. Yoon, I...

She hung up without letting me talk again.

Geez.

Oh, they're so pretty.

They make a woman's body look fabulous.

They're not uncomfortable.

Hmm. They're okay.

Yes?

You're here.

Why did you ask me to come?

Did you have lunch?

It's nowhere near lunchtime.

Oh, right.

The reason I asked you over is...

You see...

The reason is...

You see...

Are you not feeling well?

Why are you contorting yourself?

Take these.

What are they?

Math workbooks for Uri and Nara.

I figured they have plenty of English workbooks

from cram school, so I only got math.

But why?

Based on my experience,

in math, nothing beats solving many problems.

I got every publisher's, so give them to the kids.

I don't know about Uri, but Nara will like them.

Dr. Yoon, you wanted to get these

despite what Nara said about you?

Why did you have to fall for someone like me?

Why do you look so down?

Don't buy anything like this again.

Pardon?

Why did you have to bother with these?

It's upsetting.

I should go.

But...

What? Did I do something wrong?

Is it because I only got math workbooks?

Should I have gotten English ones, too?

Eunho.

What?

Please look at me.

I'm sorry.

Truth is, I...

Your endoscopy is in 5 minutes.

Please get ready.

The pictures came out really well.

Doesn't the stew look mouth-watering?

Yes.

Did Mr. Yoon leave?

Yes.

You'll post the pictures on social media, right?

Sure. Why not? I'll handle it.

Then I'll go tidy up.

Ji-eun, who's this?

Who?

Oh, I told you, right?

Ms. Oh's younger brother.

Why do you have his picture?

You're not dating him or anything, right?

I am.

What?

He's my boyfriend.

Yes?

Suhyeon, should we go?

You'll have to go ahead.

An executive at our client firm wants to meet

today instead of two days from now,

since he's going on a business trip.

What about mom's memorial rite?

Don't worry.

I know the time, so I won't be late.

Grandma will probably be waiting for you.

Please apologize to her for me.

I'm sorry.

If you're basically done, let's go.

Okay.

Please go ahead.

Have a good evening.

See you tomorrow.

- See you. / - See you.

Bye.

Please make sure mom is okay.

Please.

If mom is okay,

I won't ask for anything else.

She'll be okay.

Don't worry.

Suho.

Shouldn't you still be at work?

Dad told me to go take care of mother.

Why aren't you answering?

It's Eunho.

Pick up.

Hi, Eunho. So? Did you get the results?

What a relief.

Okay.

Suho.

What did he say?

It's not cancer, right?

She has a bit of gastritis, but she'll be fine.

She just got released.

See? What did I tell you?

Thank you, Suho.

I was so scared and full of dread.

I couldn't have coped had it not been for you.

Thank you so very much.

If you're that thankful,

will you do me a favor?

What do you need?

Can't you just give mother your blessing

to date Bitna's dad?

Suho, you knew?

I overheard you and Eunho this morning.

I don't know the details,

but I think it's a bit cruel to say no

just because he's Bitna's father.

It's not easy finding someone you can love

at mother's age.

I'm still against it.

Eunsu.

Anyone else would be fine, but not him.

I'm adamantly opposed.

Eunsu, I didn't know that

you were so selfish.

Why are you only thinking of yourself?

Let's go.

What happened to your prayer earlier?

You said you wouldn't ask for

anything but mother's well-being.

Eunsu,

my dad said that the Chinese character

for "person" is comprised of two people

leaning against one another.

Being human is to lean on each other.

Look at the two of us.

We lean and depend on each other.

It'd be nice for mother to have someone, too.

Isn't that right?

It's always work, work, work.

Doesn't Suhyeon ever get tired of it?

It's been a cause for concern.

Our baby will be born soon,

and I worry that I'll have to raise it alone.

He'll get better once the baby is born.

Your dad got much better once you showed up.

See how he's devoted his life to you.

What good is that?

Now he's lost his mind over some woman.

How do you feel physically?

Any discomfort?

I'm fine.

The baby must be my lucky charm.

Mother relieved me of all housework,

so it's great.

What a relief.

Your mom would've been so happy if she were alive.

Geez, grandma.

Mom will come see us today.

Yes.

You're giving her a grandchild.

My goodness. You're such a devoted daughter.

Yes?

Dr. Kim, I'll get going.

Okay. Thank you.

Bye.

Nurse Seo, are you okay?

Nurse Seo!

What happened?

I think she fell down the stairs.

She seems to have twisted her ankle badly.

What will we do?

- Are you okay? / - It hurts.

- Let's get her inside. / - Okay.

What in the world is going on?

Why aren't either of them here yet?

It's your grandson-in-law.

Call your dad.

Hello?

Dad, why aren't you home?

What happened?

I'm at a general hospital, and...

I'll call you in a bit.

Dad. Dad!

Did he hang up?

Yes.

What could it be, that he hung up?

Where is he?

Her mother was rushed to the emergency room.

Grandmother, I'm sorry.

I'm rather late.

What are you trying to pull?

Pardon?

This is your mother-in-law's death anniversary.

It's the first memorial rite since marrying Bitna,

so how can you show up late?

I'm sorry. An urgent meeting...

Is a meeting more important than your mother-in-law?

Does Bitna's mom mean so little to you?

Am I a joke to you?

- It's not that... / - I don't want to hear it!

How can people...

This is unacceptable.

This is utterly unacceptable!

Good grief!

Recipient unavailable. Connecting to voicemail...

Why won't he answer?

(Oh Eunsu)

Bitna, are you angry?

I tried my best to be on time, but traffic was bad.

Let's go down for the memorial rite.

But Bitna, I...

But father isn't even here yet.

Is their anger really warranted?

Let's get started.

Let's wait a bit more, grandma.

Who knows when he'll get home?

Let's start.

Bitna.

Grandma.

How can he do this?

How can your dad do this to us?

This is why the dead are to be pitied.

My poor, dear Jiyeon.

My poor, dear Jiyeon.

Grandmother, we're home.

Hi.

Where's mom?

In her room. Go on in.

Suho, stay here and eat.

Give mother my regards.

I'll do that.

- Sit, sit. / - Yes, grandmother.

Mom.

Hi.

Why didn't you go home and rest?

Don't get up.

I'm fine now.

I had you very worried, didn't I?

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry to have worried you.

Don't be.

I'm sorry.

I think I was too selfish.

What do you mean? When?

I only thought of myself.

Do whatever you want now, mom.

I'll respect your wishes.

Eunsu.

Be with him if you want to.

Don't mind me.

Eunsu, I...

All I need is for you to be healthy and with us.

I don't need anything else.

Have the kids gone?

Yes, they just left.

What took you so long?

Ms. Choi was very angry.

Your daughter was very upset, too.

Mother, I'm home.

I'm sorry.

I was going to come on time,

but something urgent came up.

Something urgent? What was it?

Was it more important than Jiyeon's memorial rite?

Mother.

This is so unfair of you.

I've considered you a son since Jiyeon's passing,

but I guess my feelings weren't reciprocated.

I've thought of you as my mother, too.

Otherwise, how could I continue living with you?

I don't want to hear it!

Mother.

Please let me explain.

Get out!

I don't feel like talking,

so get out!

Suho, you're back.

You're still up?

I was waiting for you and Eunsu.

Suho, go up and shower.

Okay.

Bitna, no one knows what the future holds.

Try to be nice.

Why didn't you answer my calls?

I didn't hear.

Come with me.

Why did you wait up for me?

To apologize?

As if.

You should apologize to me.

How could you do this

on my mom's death anniversary?

What are you talking about?

Don't play dumb.

I know my dad went to see your mom at the hospital.

Don't jump to conclusions.

Your father never came.

Do you expect me to believe that?

It's up to you whether you believe me,

but never do that to my mom again.

Do what?

Do you really not know what you did?

If it happens again,

I swear I won't sit and do nothing.

Got it?

So what will she do about it?

If dad wasn't there, where did he go?

Welcome.

Your name and date of birth, please.

I'm not a patient.

I'm Dr. Kim's daughter.

Yes?

- Dad. / - Bitna.

I was just about to call you, but here you are.

You have a new nurse.

Where's Nurse Seo?

Nurse Seo got hurt.

What happened?

She fell down the stairs right after work yesterday

and needed surgery at a general hospital.

Yesterday?

Yes.

That's actually why I was late.

I couldn't leave her there alone

when I know she lives in Seoul by herself.

Anyway, I'm sorry that

I couldn't be at the memorial rite.

You were upset, right?

I'm sorry.

You'll forgive me, right?

How annoying.

There are tons of men out there,

so why Oh Eunho?

Why?

Ji-eun.

Yes?

Does Ms. Oh know?

Know what?

That you're dating her younger brother.

Why do you ask?

It's just that she'll probably be very uncomfortable

if she finds out that

her colleague is dating her brother.

Should I not have lied?

No, I'll just make him my boyfriend.

I didn't lie. I told the future.

Very soon, you'll become my boyfriend.

What are you doing? Busy?

Come in.

Man. I can't stand working.

I must have the next episode finished

before my time off is up, but I don't want to work.

Now that my test is coming up,

I don't want to study, either.

Oh? You're on social media.

What's hot these days?

What? Pictures of doenjang stew are trending?

You don't say.

(Sodium down)

(Health up)

(Well-Being Doenjang Stew)

(Yoon Ga Food's Well-Being Doenjang Stew)

My brother-in-law's family runs Yoon Ga Food.

Right.

Wow. People are digging it.

They are.

Director Kim, a guest has been waiting.

A guest?

Yes.

Um...

Hi. It's been a long time.

Who are you?

Don't you recognize me?

It's me, Jeong-a. Oh Jeong-a.

How is the Well-Being Doenjang Stew doing?

You should quickly let it go.

I have a hunch.

You don't do business on a hunch.

I'm upset that mom dated that woman's father.

Park Yeonmi, love isn't in your stars.

Did you see someone at work yesterday?

Why do you ask?

Why, after all this time?

What does she want?

You're not answering the phone.

I should go to

your grandmother's house and explain.

What are you doing here?

What do you want from me?

The truth about what happened eight years ago.

How To Defeat Pennywise in Stephen King's IT - The Ritual of Chud Analysis - Duration: 5:02.

We all do remember the scene when the Loser's Club is facing off against the sinister Clown

Clown Pennywise.

Seemingly defeated in the End, Pennywise retreats back into his lair.

Little did they know, that the monster was not defewated.

If you have red the It Novel or you maybe you have seen one of my videos, you might

have learned that here is only one real way, to defeat Pennywise.

The Ritual of Chud.

In this Video we talk about the Ritual and it's possible origins.

Maturin the Turtle is taking about The Ritual the first time, when Bill meets him in the

Macroverse.

And it is almost impossible to fully transcode what the Turtle is actually talking about.

But we know, that without this import piece of Information, there would have been no way

to defeat the evil creature.

Stephen King told us in an interview, that he is a very big admirer of the Lord of The

Rings saga. the fight between the Loser's Club and the IT creature pays homage to the

battle with Shelob.

When asked about the Ritual of Chud directly, Stephen King stated, that he found the inspiration

for all of this in a Tibeton Spiritual Practice of Butism.I am sure that this came as a suprise

to most of us.

But indeed, the word Chud was created from the similar word Choed, meaning to sever.

This spiritual practise is found mostly in Nyingma and Kagyu Schools of Tibetan beliefs.

There it is classes as an Anuutrarrayoga Tantra) It is also translated into cutting through

the ego.

The practises are also based on the Perfection of Wisdom sutras, which underlines the Butist

pilosophy of emptiness. Some of the monks state, that emptiness is the ultimate wisdom of understanding

that all things lack inherent existence.

Therefore Chd is a combination of these specific philosophies mixed with additional

meditation methods and other tantric rituals.

The next part I quote directly: The person who practices chod, seeks to tap the power

of fear through activities such as rituals, that are held in graveyards, and visualisations

of offering their bodies in a tantric feast in order to put their understanding of emptiness

to the ultimate test.

Knowing all of this, we can now assume that Maturin was talking of an act of trust, courage

and Purity.

The Turtle prepares Bill for a psychic battle in which the two forces duel with their wits.

We don't really go in any detail in Stephen King;s Mini Series, but since the young kids

believe in each other, and that the silver ear rings, which symbolize their hope and

friendship, is inheriting supernatural abilities.

Since their will is so strong, the item itself transforms into a weapon of light and destruction

of all evil.

Beverly wields the power of childhood and is able, with the so called Chief Weapon,

and injures the evil clown with a shot right to the skull.

They might have been able to Kill Pennywise right there, when they first were facing off

against him.

But unfortunately he escaped back into hybernation.

Here i want to quote another reference, which tells us how this passage is described in

the book: Bill's finds itself in a void, able to interact

directly with It, as he is thrust through the universe, all the way to where the deadlights

live, outside of space and time, and there he will be driven insane.

However, Bill is able to fight back by doing exactly what It mentioned earlier: using his

imagination against It.

Bill professes he believes in Santa Claus, superstitions, and the love of his parents.

The two battle it out.

Bill becomes stronger and stronger, saying that "He thrusts his fists" line over and

over, wounding It.

For just as a victim's fear provides nourishment, a victim's courage and confidence provides

pain.

With It wounded and seemingly dying, Bill is released from the void as the Spider retreats.

The children are unsure if they have killed It or not (though they all seem to implicitly

understand that they have at least sent It into hibernation and ended the current cycle),

but at that moment the web begins to collapse, and so our heroes exit to make their way back

I hope this gives as a small idea, of what exactly goes down, if a Ritual of Chud should

be necessary, against an evil entity such as the It creature.

Although we will never know for certain what kind of detail lies behind the full ceremony.

Thank you guys for watching!

I hope I could enlighten you a bit and that you enjoyed this video.

please leave a like and subscribe.

. Stay frosty!

Enjoy winter on The Costa Blanca North TV Documentary (60 min.) - Duration: 59:51.

What is winter on the Costa Blanca North all about?

Let's find out!

If you prefer to spend Christmas in the sun, rather than the hail and the nasty weather of Northern Europe,

come to the Northern Costa Blanca and spend it here.

We have a special micro climate in this area.

It's the healthiest environment in Europe.

And you can go to concerts, exhibitions.

All people come for living relaxed.

Costa Blanca is like a small United Nations.

Welcome to the grand tour of the Costa Blanca North in the wintertime.

Costa Blanca North spreads between Alicante and Denia.

30 different businesses of the area told us why they chose to live and work here.

Let's start in Albir.

Terence tell me about wintertime here.

Wintertime on the Costa Blanca has to be the best place in Europe to be.

We've got the best weather, fantastic facilities for all sorts of sports.

Sailing,

fishing,

hiking

and of course, cycling.

And that's what you do.

Yes.

Tell us about it.

I've been on the Costa Blanca, Spain for the last 15 years.

I've always been a cyclist, I came to here because I knew it was the best place in

Europe to ride the bike year round.

Riding in the sunshine, we've got perfect roads, it's a very special area for riding a bike.

I hear that you are a former policeman.

I used to be a policeman, yes, I don't miss that,

but it's what I did for a number of years before I came here to Spain.

I bet the experience must be helpful with organizing camps.

Having an experience of being a policeman I think helps me with a day to day running,

especially when we have groups of people on the training camps that we have to look after.

Always with groups of people there are different characters, you have to look at the group of people

that you have.

And all the different characters in that group.

It's our job to make people happy and enjoy their time here and a part of that is to get a feel for the group

and how it's gonna work and we can work with them.

We are not a bike shop, we focus on renting a particular type of bike.

Sure customers can come in and rent any type of bike.

We have electric bikes and city bikes, mountain bikes for people.

We have a large range of, full carbon road bikes.

For sport cyclists, for the guy that wants to come here to the Costa Blanca and ride in the mountains and maybe

they are riding 80, 100-150 km per day, they need the right equipment to do that.

So, we've got that here and that's what we are focusing on.

Although Meta Bike Café is our shop and this is where we work, this is our base, we market internationally.

We are selling a package to cyclists, they can come with us and stay in a hotel.

We have hotels in Alicante, across the Costa Blanca up to Denia.

They can take a bike, hired from us. We take them on guided rides

or they can just come in and rent a bike and that rental can be done online of our website

or they can come into the shop and take a bike from us.

Tell me about this bike.

This bike is a bike we offer, this is super light frame, carbon frame with height components.

It's a very light bike.

I'm guiding groups on the training camps.

We created a nice environment inside the shop.

We have a café available and customers can rent their bike from us and take a coffee.

Coffee is free, we don't charge for coffee.

Let's leave Albir for a moment and go to the beautiful Valley of Jalon.

Emily tell me how does it function here in the wintertime?

January is always a bit slow, but in February it picks up because the almond blossom,

is one of the most beautiful things you can see everywhere.

The trees are usually sticks and they turn into these bright pink and the light pink flowers

and lots of people from all over, from Madrid they all come down to see and walk the paths

to see the almond blossoms.

And lots of the routes are just behind here from the Bodega so they stop here either before or after,

ask about the routes to see the almond blossom.

And I hear you can also learn about the wine during wintertime.

Yes, we've started not long ago doing tours here in the Bodega, it's a general tour of the Bodega, the machinery,

how it works, how it's all processed and we end up in our stock room where all the stocks we have are;

how we bottle our wines.

The final step is in here, wine tasting room.

This year was a magical year, it's the first time snow has laid on the ground since 1983 here.

It was like a winter wonderland.

You woke up at 7 o'clock in the morning, snow was falling.

Even though it snowed, even though everybody was enjoying it we all knew that at least that afternoon

would be warm and the sun and our climate will be back to normal.

So, you had the best of two worlds.

The best of two worlds in one day, yes.

It was brilliant.

¡Salud!

From Jalon Valley we move to the neighbouring valley of Orba.

Orba is home to just over 2000 inhabitants, but it's increasing in popularity with

foreign residents and tourists.

Orba Valley in wintertime.

Ernesto, tell us a little bit about it.

Orba Valley is a very nice place to live in the wintertime and also in the summer time.

In the wintertime we can enjoy a very, very good weather and the people can be the residents here in Orba,

and they are also very close to the beach. Only 20 minutes, 15 minutes to the beach.

They can enjoy the mountains, they can walk all around and they have in Orba

all the services that anybody can expect.

Here is a lovely place because there is plenty of vegetation.

Beautiful.

Very green, very nice, and we are very close to Ondara where we have the commercial centre, very close to

Denia and also the international airports of Valencia and Alicante.

And you are continuing a family tradition?

We established the office here in 1994, my brother and I,

because my father has always been working in this business.

We give a special attention to the client, we are reputable builder in the area, we show the plots,

we sit down with our architects, we design the villa according to the expectation of the client and then

we build the villa with a high quality standard.

You are an expert in three different areas, in Jalón, Orba, Dénia. Can you tell us about price differences?

There is a big difference in prices, let's say between Javea, Moraira, Calpe than inland in Orba, Jalon.

Anybody can buy a property with a 40% smaller price here inland.

Jackie you are the owner of Citrus Bar here in Orba Valley, how is it here in wintertime?

Oh, it's my favourite time of year, it's a lovely time.

There is plenty of time to take lots of activities, to enjoy the area, go out to restaurants.

We have lots of cyclists in winter come visit our bar because it's a great area for touring and cycling

Also lots of walkers, you can enjoy the mountains, you can enjoy the scenery and the temperature

is just perfect for that.

Oh, it is.

What about your story, how did you get to Orba?

My daughter started the bar originally and then the whole family became involved.

We've got the 3 generations, we've got my daughter, myself and my mother.

We all bake, so it's a real family concern.

So, you are famous for your cakes.

Absolutely famous in the area for the cakes.

The wonky mocha and the carrot cake are very well known indeed, draw people from all over the place.

Javea, known as Xàbia in Valenciano lies at the foot of Montgó natural park.

It has 15 spectacular view points –Miradores de Javea– the historic old town, the port

and beautiful beaches.

Bay Radio is the biggest English radio station in Spain and we've been broadcasting for the last 12 years

and we've been growing bigger and bigger every year.

We now broadcast all the way from Denia all the way down to Cartagena along the Mediterranean Coast.

We've got an amazing range of DJ's and presenters and the great team behind us, producing some of the best

radio around here really.

Tuesday morning and we've been inundated with…

We work with some of the biggest brands who advertise with Bay Radio

and use us to get their message out there.

And you have been here for how many years?

I started here in 2005; the first day that the Bay radio started.

It's a great place to live, a great place to work and a great place to come on holidays as well.

It's got everything.

It's got great restaurants, it's got great nightlife, great shops

and it's also got a little bit of culture as well.

What have we got here in wintertime?

It's a bit different to summer, but it's still fantastic weather.

The roads are quieter which is nice and there is still lots of things to do, lots of sports, then obviously lovely

restaurants and different things and around this area especially on the Costa Blanca,

there is a lot of winter sports and different things.

We have surfing competitions here in the winter and they do cater for a lot of different things in this area in the

winter as well which is nice.

What's happening with Bay Radio right now?

We have just bought a local radio station which is for younger audience so as you know Bay Radio caters

for an older audience of 35-40 plus and now our new station –Overseas FM– is catering for a younger

audience from the ages of about 18 coming up to about 35-40.

So now we feel that we can cater for the whole spectrum of advertisers and listeners around this area.

Jaimie tell me how living here compares to living in England.

Even though some people find it quite difficult to work out here, there is a lot of opportunity

for expats to come over here and work.

Olivia, Miglena, tell us a little bit about wintertime here in Jávea.

I think living here in winter is nice because you have a lot of time, so you can do things

that usually you are not doing.

Business in wintertime is good.

Olivia you are English, Miglena you are Bulgarian.

Yes.

How come your chose this place to be to live?

I was born here so.

Your parents…They are English and they were living here for 30 years and I was born here and growing up here we

all got really nice memories and I really enjoy it and I've never wanted to leave, really.

Miglena you are Bulgarian.

Yes, I came on holidays 17 years ago, so I really liked Javea, it was different, not so busy like now.

I really love it, it's a very nice village, you have beach, nice weather, good quality of life.

My childhood we used to do a lot of quading, on weekends. We used to go to inland and different

places upon the coast which I really enjoyed.

You are one stop shop for beauty and hair, aren't you?

Yes.

You can get all body of course, like the beauty of course, you can do the facial, body treatments, pedicure,

manicure, laser for hair removal and after this of course is the hair.

Which we can take care of, the coloring, the treatments, blow dries, cutting. Anything that you need we have here

to offer.

So sign me in for a full day treatment.

Of course, enjoy it.

Thank you.

Good!

My parents went on their pension and they said we are going to live in Javea and I'm the only daughter so my

father was like come with me, come with me.

We started first with Masena and we reformed it.

Buen Apetito.

What kind of food do you offer?

It's a little bit International food, more in Masena, more Spanish, Mediterranean.

We started Vall de Cavall 8 years ago.

We all give lessons to people, to clients here, we don't rent out horses that we don't do; we only have a horse

hotel here. That's what we do, actually.

And you are actually doing it for sports.

I used to do eventing 25 years, but then I stopped and now I do endurance.

In Vall de Cavall they try some Asian things, Chinese things in the middle, but most of it is the Mediterranean.

The furniture shop, what are the inspirations here, it's so beautiful.

The most of our furniture comes from Indonesia, we have our own agent there who searches

a lot of furniture, old furniture and they restore it and it comes here.

We also have new things but it's all made with old teak wood, never new teak wood.

So, it's much stronger, it's alive so it's nicer.

And then we have some Indian things, Chinese things, and almost all of the decoration comes from Belgium.

Wendy, Chris what is The Rooms?

The Rooms is especially built environment for us to incorporate the escape room and

If you are not sure what escape room is, you get locked in for 1 hour and you have to solve the clues

This is one of the largest escape rooms that you can possibly have.

And we want families to come, we want young adults, teenagers, we want older people to come, we want

singles, we want groups.

So, there is lots of different types of board games, monopoly, risk, all sorts of things

as well as a café.

It's a great entertainment for winter, for any time of the year.

For the summer as well, because in the summer you don't want to be so much in the sun, you need a little

bit of respite from the heat and for people who don't want to be in the beach all day.

So, it's great for tourists as well.

You can come along and choose the board games, come down to have homemade cake, some tapas

maybe, coffee and because you know there is cafes and bars everywhere but there is nothing

like this, this is going to be totally unique.

So, you know we think it's a totally different concept.

Where is it?

It's just off the Arenal, it's a 2 minute walk from the beach in Javea, from the main beach in Javea, so

perfect location.

Benissa is one of the oldest towns of the area, with magnificently restored townhouses in the historic

center and one of the biggest churches of the area often referred to as the Cathedral.

Even though Benissa is located inland, it also has 4 kilometers of beautiful coastline.

We visited a private chef who lives here to tell us more.

Chris we are in Benissa Costa how is winter here?

It's absolutely fantastic, I mean that was the reason why we came here because I was actually on my way to do a

course in Milan, in Italy and decided to drop by to visit my brother on the way. He is living in Moraira.

And we happened to come in January and I thought is the weather is this fantastic in January,

my goodness me, what is it going to be like in the summer...

I am a private chef and I also teach people to cook, we do cooking classes every year.

I have people to my home to teach them to cook and I also do this private chef work

which means that if you are having a party, some nice big celebration, could be at your

villa, could be at your apartment.

We even did a lunch on a yacht.

I was an independent project manager and I decided I wanted a career change.

My wife Sue who works with me, she comes from Zimbabwe, so she had this nice injection of sun right

from the word go.

I was born in the Caiman Islands so I was also zapped by sun and of course we met in a very rainy part of the

UK and decided that one day we'd like to do something.

We've traveled around the world, learning to cook different cuisines, we can do anything from fish to meat,

to vegetables but amazingly on barbeques, that is our real specialty.

We smoke salmon.

We make cakes, so we go along in our job is to make people happy. That's how I see it.

Great.

Calpe is best known for the mighty Penón de Ifach, the majestic rock rising over 300 meters out of the

Mediterranean Sea, and its two sandy beaches.

Linda, what can one do here in the wintertime?

Well, personally I find it little cold for swimming, but there are some lunatic people form Northern Europe

who do come here to swim, but there are lots of other activities: there is walking clubs and things like that,

so they got the mountains and do serious long walks.

Or for those of us who are less adventurous you can go for a nice stroll along the beach

and enjoy looking at our lovely rock and see sun coming up or the sun setting in the other direction.

If you prefer to spend Christmas in the sun rather than the hail and the nasty weather of Northern Europe

come to the Northern Costa Blanca and spend it here.

We are much busier in winter than we are in high summer months because people who want to do

business won't come out in August.

All of the properties are full so no agent can show them anything; it's far too expensive to rent a property,

and actually we close for the month of August because there is no serious business happening then.

If somebody needs to complete a purchase, we obviously make ourselves available.

August can be pretty crowded in the near the sea towns and that's what a lot of people like.

That the beaches are packed; that's what they really enjoy.

Some of us prefer slightly quieter life and stay clear of the beach in July and August.

So what would you say to somebody who was contemplating coming to the Costa Blanca,

why is winter time so attractive?

You will find that there are lot of people who do what we call 9 month residence.

They are here all winter months and then they go back to their home country to England, to Germany or wherever

to visit the family in those hot, summer months that particularly

the older people are beginning to find that it's be bit too hot to really do anything.

Nora, Peter tell us what is it that you do here.

Well, we have a clinic together, Clínica La Alegria means joyful and I do believe joyful living is very important and

I'm a bit more concentrated, focused on the health part

and you are a bit more busy with the injectables on the beauty side.

And I see a lot of women before menopause and also during menopause

because that is underestimated problem, and many people in the medical world don't believe in the

complaints that women have that could be solved, so we treat a lot of people on a natural way

through menopause.

And navigate them through menopause.

And that's one of my hobbies.

Many women are very happy with that I know because you also see a lot of women.

That's right, I see a lot of women and I try to give them a good feeling by doing Botox and fillers in a natural way.

I often see women that are treated and they have no expression anymore

and I think there are a lot of doctors that are not well trained and that's a big problem.

You say natural way, what do you mean by that?

Natural way is that they keep kind of expression when they are angry or they are laughing.

That it looks normal.

You also offer natural therapy to cancer?

Yes we do, of course we have the orthomolecular way of treating people but we also do intravenous

work with high dosage of vitamin C. And it goes up to sometimes 70, 80 grams per time,

and then twice per week for example.

Why is vitamin C helping cancer disappear?

It's an interesting procedure because in high concentration in the blood it attacks

the cancer cells and that's proven.

It's called "nontoxic tumor therapy."

So, it's not risky really.

No and we've got some good results, people are really happy to receive it.

And how is winter here in this area?

I like it, both the climate and you live here in a relaxed way.

And that's important.

It's the healthiest environment in Europe.

Did you know that the salt lagoons are very important also for the climate?

Because of the salt concentration, the humidity will go down so it's much healthier, I mean there's not a lot of

pollution, the air is very clean and it's warm, a lot of sunny days.

And you are Dutch, the both of you.

Would you like to go back to Holland and live there?

We never know, but we enjoy life every day and that's important and make the best of it.

That's very good advice for everybody I think.

Altea is one of the most beautiful coastal towns of the Costa Blanca North.

With its white, historic old town overlooking the port

and the rocky beach,

Altea retains its own, unique Spanish charm.

It offers abundance of galleries and cultural events all year long.

The visitors can enjoy the sense of community and special charms with many small shops and restaurants.

They offer great selection of international and traditional Spanish cuisine.

I came here from Buenos Aires 15 years ago.

My family is big, I have 6 children and 10 grandchildren now.

What are you doing in Altea?

We decided to come here because it's a very nice place of course, a lot of people need my service.

I'm a Spanish teacher from 30 years now.

I was looking for many places and this is fantastic.

Why?

Because of the weather, sun, only 12 days raining, but it's not only the weather.

I love to eat and I love to cook, I enjoy fruits and vegetables, all here is very fresh.

It's very interesting because when I came I didn't know that this is a place for a second house,

and my students started to come and they told me we are coming here to change our lives and me too.

And I thought – very nice, this is the place.

All people are coming here for a relaxed living, for health.

And this is very interesting because Altea, the name means "health."

In this area there were living for many centuries doctors from different cultures: Greek, Roman, Arabic,

and it's the area where many medicinal plants grow naturally.

And this place is very interesting when you are foreigner and don't speak Spanish,

you need to speak with a doctor, with a supermarket, with your neighbor, you need to speak Spanish because

it's the culture.

The first time you need to communicate.

We use a methodology for conversation, it's not about going into the grammar.

It's practical Spanish and useful grammar.

It's important for my students to have a relationship directly with the local people.

This is Calpe and this is Albir.

In Altea, it's a family shop with a long tradition, 50 years of experience and we want to

advice our clients the best products for them.

We are here if they need something or it's broken they can contact us and we can arrange with the technicians

to solve the problem and we have a lot of different products.

If you haven't got, we can order it so no problem we bring it to your house and we install

and take out the old one, we do it all.

Perfect.

In wintertime we have no siesta, we are open from 9.30-18.30 from November to March.

How is winter here?

We have a special microclimate in this area and it's not very cool in the wintertime

and we have good temperature all around the year.

Ingo, tell me about wintertime here on the Costa Blanca North.

The wintertime here is very nice, I love the winter here.

I came from Germany and it was only rain and fog and dirty and because of this I don't like winter in Germany.

That is why I came 20 years ago to Spain, it was so nice here, sunny.

It's OK, it's not so cold and it's so nice and here on the Coast we have the mountains, we have the sea.

We have it all, what do you want more?

So, would you go back to Germany?

No, when I'm like some of my clients, the pensioners.

then I will go for some months to Germany and come back, but I think the most of the time I will stay in Spain.

And you have a very special shop here, what is it that you offer here?

Yes, I offer organic products. 100% organic, certified products.

When I came to Spain 20 years ago, I lived organic in Germany and I searched organic products and we didn't

find enough, we found nothing in Spain.

That is why we started this business.

We've had our business for 17 years now and we got more and more products and now I think we have the

best assortment on the Coast here.

Ok, great.

The most products I think, we have more than 5,000 different products here.

When you come in winter here, you have some very good offers for hotels;

they are not so expensive in winter.

To rent a house here, especially in Altea, Calpe, Denia there are a lot of cheap offers in the winter.

You can buy organic products then you can cook it in your household, it's not necessary to go to restaurants

you can make what you want.

Melitón Jardin it's a bodega and a garden restaurant in a very old traditional finca in Altea la Vella.

We have a simple but very traditional Spanish authentic kitchen with natural food of the season and of the region

and of course fresh specialties of the sea.

We have part of the classic menu and we have the menu of the regional food.

We are open the whole year from morning till night.

What is Melitón Jardin, what does it stand for?

The name "Melitón" is for any sweet like honey and the word "jardin" it's a garden place where we have a very

big garden, so much terrace.

In the summer time we have more places, but in the wintertime we have a very cosy restaurant

with two fireplaces.

Cocas are small Valencian pizzas and we make it in the wood oven.

In 2013 it was a very old finca and we needed 6 month to renovate completely.

It was never a restaurant before.

Who makes all this delicious food?

It's our chef Pablo.

Pablo is 61 years old and he came specially for the production of the traditional food.

Why did you move down here?

Oh, I came with my husband 10 years ago to the Costa Blanca to live here for good.

Of course the weather in the wintertime is nice and the sun gives you special energy.

And you are German?

Yes, I am.

Are you going back to Germany?

No, I'm sure, I am not going back to Germany and my family comes to visit me here in Spain.

Leaving Altea you can take a lovely walk along the sea to Albir.

We are practically divided in two.

We've got the old town which people know as L'Alfàs del Pi

and we've got the beach area which is L'Albir.

Which often people think it's a separate entity but it's not…

Albir belongs to Alfàs del Pi, it's the same municipality.

And this municipality is in the middle of Costa Blanca North…

It is and Alfàs del Pi also has got different festivals during the year, we've got the film festival, we also

have got many cultural activities.

And it is very international.

You, yourself are from Belgium, and you have some Norwegian blood.

Yes, I have Norwegian, Persian blood.

We are over 20.000 inhabitants in Alfàs and del Pi and more than half of them are from other nationalities.

We've got over 98 different nationalities in our town.

We have to make sure that they feel integrated.

That's the most important part of my job, make sure that people feel themselves at home.

This is Robin, the meerkat that I've got at home.

What are you doing, I'm not to be eaten.

Ok, so tell me exactly how is it to live here in wintertime?

It's quiet but for the last couple of years it started to get busier, we have a lot more people around,

business has got lot better as well, it seems like tourists are finding this is a destination to relax in winter.

And you guys offer birds…

We have all sorts of exotic animals.

Yes.

All sorts as you can see.

Reptiles, birds, we specialize in salt water aquariums.

We have a wide variety of salt water fish, also in vertebrates and shell fish.

All right.

And can you tell us a little bit about the services you offer.

You have a vet as well?

Yes, we have a veterinary specialized in exotic animals.

I treat non dogs and non-cats pets.

Parrots they are the most playful and friendly pets in the world more than any cat and any dog.

This is a lizard from Morocco.

Can I touch it?

Yes.

Now, it's much better.

It had and infusion because it was a bit dehydrated.

So you can play with him like with other pets or better not?

Reptiles are different pets, but they can interact with the owners, they just need some time.

Where is your passion for animals coming from?

Oh, back at home, we've always had a lot of animals.

And it goes back from my granddad who used to have chimpanzee, many horses, so it's a family thing.

All right.

Always been with them.

In winter what you can do is you can relax, go down to Albir,

have a nice coffee in very nice coffee places down there.

Also you can sit by the beach and have your coffee or whatever you wish.

It's pretty nice in the winter.

Suli tell me about your restaurant.

We are the family business.

My husband and I are looking after the old business.

And my brother with his wife are looking after the new business.

Also we have two cousins working at the each kitchen stove.

And at the old restaurant we are over 17 years, we started in 1999.

We are long time here.

We know a lot about Albir.

It's a big change now.

I have two boys and it's very important to study different languages here in this area of the Costa Blanca.

They go to private school, they learn English, German, Spanish, also Valenciano and Chinese.

It's very good.

Costa Blanca is like a small United Nations.

I also have two dogs, two German Shepherds, and my husband goes every morning with the

dogs to the mountains.

It's a fantastic place to live with animals and to enjoy it here, the sun is perfect.

I hear there are lots of restaurants that work only in summer time and in winter is very quiet, but nor for us.

You have business here all the time?

I have more business also in the winter time.

Oh?

Yes.

In the wintertime, they are a lot of pensioners.

The prices in the restaurants are so good they can eat nearly every day out.

Yes.

Outside there is a hotel and on the left side there is a free parking, on the right side there is a nice sea.

The whole area is perfect.

My brother is a good chef.

He knows Japanese sushi.

and also Thai food

and Chinese food of course because there are more Asian restaurants.

My husband and cousins, also my brother they are making beautiful decorations, they are artists.

Wintertime in Albir is nice. It's a bit quieter than in the summer, you serve other food.

Ok.

Because you have more time and you are more relaxed.

Now, we have more specials with the oysters, we have 3 types of oysters.

We have the French classic cuisine and that's nice, that's all the fresh things, the fish, the meat

the sauces are fresh and home-made.

That is what Anna stands for.

It takes a lot of time, but you have a lot of positive reactions from the clients.

I adore the French cuisine and that's my kitchen, that's what I want.

That's Anna.

Where is that coming from?

Anna is the name of the owner, the boss Anna, and also of her husband's mother, she was also Anna, so

they have a special name, it's a family name you could say like this.

And you, yourself are Belgian.

I'm Belgian, yes. I live here now for 3 years.

My parents wanted to come here when I was very young.

The first time I came that's the place where I want to live, it's gonna be my home some day

and this time they just said: "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you just a kid,"

but now with so much time later and I live my dream, I did what I said and I'm still happy for it.

Are you going back to Belgium?

Yes, maybe for Christmas for 2 days or something.

But, you don't want to live there?

No…

100 different beers.

Wow.

Tell me about it, Alain.

We now have 100 beers.

Most of them are coming from Belgium because I'm from Belgium too.

We have many special beers, a little bit from everywhere that's why we are called Universal.

What are your favourite winter activities?

Winter activities?

You can do here many things.

But climbing is one of my favorites because in winter it's not too hot but still warm enough to enjoy whatever you

do on the rocks.

Samantha, I hear you are a special baker.

Tell me about it.

Thank you Natalia.

It's organic, it's refined sugar free, it's gluten free, it's baked fresh on a daily basis.

Here is some freshly baked polenta muffins made with fresh Spinach, sundried tomatoes

and pine kernels.

It looks really delicious and what is this?

That's chocolate, pear with hazel nuts frangipane tart, it is refined sugar free, gluten free and dairy free.

And this beauty?

That is raspberry flapjacks with oats, they are gluten free and it's also refined sugar free.

So, I understand that you are actually baking whatever people want.

Yes.

I set up Cake Away because I'm passionate about home-made baking and food made from scratch.

You are from South Africa?

Yes, I am.

How come you are here in Spain?

My family moved to Spain in the early 70s, I grew up here, went to school here.

How did you see this place changing?

It's changed a lot, there were certain things you didn't have access to with regards to food.

You couldn't find fresh salmon, you couldn't find vanilla essence to make cakes.

Things had to be done using local ingredients.

Now you have a wealth of all sorts of products in this area, organic and non-organic.

If I wanted to learn how to do this, would you be able to teach me?

Yes, of course.

In fact I'm actually organizing some classes at the moment which I think will help a lot of people learn

to make these amazing things.

I'm interested in being able to explain throughout my classes what the ingredients are best used for,

how to use them and the nutritional value.

Having a sweet treat and also at the same time having something nutritious and satisfying too.

Well, I'm looking forward to it then.

And what do you like about winter here?

It's less crowded, the weather generally is fantastic, there is lots to do and the airport is 45 minutes away.

Valencia if you want to go to the theatre is an hour and a half away; it's easy and it's comfortable to live here.

How did you start your business, Gaynor?

It was a case of boredom.

I came over here to retire because I have a foot parlour in England and it's been established ther for 20 years

and I decided I was going to go back to my roots in Spain because this is where I grew up.

What I'm trying to do is just to help people because when you come to see me, I don't treat the symptoms,

I treat the causes, so for example if you have corns, you have callouses I will explain why you have these,

why you have to make a change in your footwear.

Obviously in England feet are inside the shoes all the time, whereas here as soon as the spring starts to come

everybody starts to get the feet out and they want to have the nails looking nice.

We also offer colonic hydrotherapy which is then that you can see the difference more between the winter

and the summer because generally in the winter months people are eating these nice

fatty things and you know they are filling themselves with rubbish.

So as soon as the bikini season starts, the spring starts

that's when I start to work with the colonic hydrotherapy because everybody decides that they want to have a flat

tummy, they want to get rid of those horrible toxins that they have been taking in and sometimes people just

come to maintain things and in the wintertime people

they are waiting for the summer and then when we go from the winter to the spring that's when we start to

notice that people are starting to make more appointments.

Benidorm is best known as the nightlife party city of the Costa Blanca North.

With over 70.000 inhabitants it has the most high-rise building per capita in the world.

There is more to it than just a party life:

beautiful sandy beaches,

theme parks,

old town

and great shopping.

Winter time is perfect for visiting Benidorm as its busy and lively but not over crowded.

Alex tell me what is Isabella?

Isabella is the mix from Italian and the Spanish food, cuisine.

We try to make a real Italian pizza with real ingredients.

We make the menu of the day all day, at night we make a free buffet, you can eat all the pizza you can for 6 euros.

And you are in Benidorm why?

Because there are many people here all year, winter and summer, every season.

We are in winter now and it's a very nice weather.

Yes, it's I don't know 20 degrees.

It's perfect to live here.

Alicante is the capital of the province of Alicante.

It is also a historic Mediterranean port with a population of over 330.000, it's the second largest Valencian city.

Let's hear more about the town from one of the city's great residents, culture lover and a musician:

Pepe Bornay

How is Alicante for you different in winter time than in summer?

Do you feel the difference as a person that lives here?

Yes, and even the visitors are different.

Different kind of tourists.

Tell me.

They are more cultural, when you think about Alicante and Costa Blanca

You mainly think about beach, good sun, holidays, things like that, but you can find nice buildings, the ambiance,

a rich cultural life.

You can go to concerts, exhibitions, there are many new activities now.

Tell us a little bit about what you do.

We have a music school here in the city,

and then you know playing groups,

jazz groups, mainly.

You teach adults and children.

On every corner we've got something interesting in Alicante.

What have we got here?

You have the Castle, then you have a very nice church built on old medieval ground and then you have the

contemporary art museum.

You know the Camino de Santiago?

It's from here

OK.

from Alicante.

One of the roads.

The old style tapas, restaurants, Spanish food and all that.

And then you can find a very nice new restaurants designed, new cuisine

which are becoming quite famous.

So, you can see how nice is the winter weather here…

And this is the Rambla you say.

This is the Rambla.

So the Rambla is an old riverbed or?

Yes.

It's an old riverbed, when the rain comes all the water goes to the sea.

It's very typical – La Rambla de Barcelona.

You can see them all over Spain.

This is like a kind of a symbol of the city:

this pavement.

It's taken from another promenade in Rio de Janeiro in Brasil.

OK.

It's a curiosity.

It's beautiful.

You are involved into the music scene of Alicante of course.

Yeah.

Concerts; festivals.

Cinema festival, we have a section which is music "música para la imagen," music for the image.

And then we have a jazz festival.

The city lives 24 hours.

Yeah.

It's a cool city and with this weather, what do you want?

Elche has a population of over 230,000 inhabitants, it lies between Costa Blanca North

and Costa Blanca South.

Elche is a beautiful city famous for its palms and the archeological remains.

Like all towns of the Costa Blanca North, Elche has many fiestas.

The international airport which tourists often refer to as Alicante airport is in fact situated in Elche.

Elche is very famous for long standing tradition in shoe production and we are in one of the biggest shoe

production companies: Salvador Artesano. Can you tell us a little bit about it?

Yeah.

This factory is 40 years old, it was created by a couple and now we have this factory to show to people and the

shop is for the people to come by from other countries.

How many shops do you have?

We have 25 shops.

We have shoes for women, very comfortable and party shoes too.

We have shoes for men too, we have many brands, shoes for party, walking and we have other brands too.

So for sports and for any occasion?

Yes, in here you can buy any kind of shoes.

What about prices?

It's much cheaper than the other shops because here is the factory and the price is low.

From Elche we go north, deep into the mountains where we find a lovely Bed and Breakfast called

Can Sueño which means "hostel of dreams."

When did you decide to move to the mountains?

We'd like to go deep into Spain, but not too far from everything and here we don't have any neighbors,

we have all space and good air.

We live with eagles and with wild boars,

Nature.

birds.

Yes, beautiful.

And silence.

You can hear your heartbeat.

And you can see the stars.

The main thing is that we are really interested in people, we love our guests.

We take a really good care of them.

We make excellent food, fresh food from this area, without any pesticides.

As good as possible.

We offer a suite for people who really want to enjoy life and like to stay for the night.

Before we go back to the coast we visit two charming inland villages.

La Solana has more than 35 years of tradition.

All year long you can enjoy very good food.

We offer a wide variety of daily menus.

Also you can choose between different starters and desserts, you can find a lot of home-made cakes.

We organize family celebrations, associations and groups up to 160 people.

You can enjoy horse riding and guided tours around the area.

In February we have beautiful almond blossom.

Kina, Paul, tell us what are you doing here?

We run a supermarket, The British Supermarket and we offer British foods that all the expats who are here don't

find here.

And it's not only the English, Spanish people coming, Germans, Dutch.

We also have a very good butcher …. yes, I love his meat.

And you are from Zimbabwe?

Yes, I am from Zimbabwe

You are English?

I'm English, yes.

How did that love happen?

Well, I used to work in Africa in oil industry and we both met in Namibia.

Yes, I was there going waiting for a visa and Kina was there doing some sales and the place is a whole,

everybody knows everybody and it's like a corner shop and the café is very popular.

Denia positioned on the northern edge of the Costa Blanca North is famous for its culture and gastronomy.

Tell me a little bit about your restaurant.

We've been open since 2005 we are now one of the longest running restaurants in the marina.

Christmas is over so we need to take the decorations down.

We do a menu of the day which we try to use seasonal fruits and vegetables at a very reasonable price,

hence the reason why we are usually so busy.

It's beautiful day today, in the middle of January and yet we've had 18 degrees, people on out terrace,

people inside.

What more could you want?

We hope you enjoyed the film and to discover other towns and the people of the Costa Blanca,

Why Have You Forsaken Me - Duration: 2:01.

Jesus' fourth word from the cross comes from Matthew chapter 27.

What would life be like without God?

God makes the planets to, to spin in their orbits.

He causes the sun to shine and rise.

He makes the rain to fall and water our plants and our crops.

He . . .

guides us,

he guards us,

he protects us,

he loves us.

What would life be like without God?

Well,

it would be hell

because that's what hell is.

It's separation from God and his love.

And that is what Jesus is experiencing in this moment.

His father had forsaken him and turned his back on him.

Jesus was suffering the most horrible, awful agony and pain.

He was suffering the pain of hell.

And even worse,

he didn't deserve it.

We do.

The Bible tells us that sin separates us from God.

But Jesus didn't sin, we have.

And yet there he is, forsaken by the father,

to suffer hell.

Friends, this is the height of Jesus' love.

He went to the cross to suffer hell

so that you and I never would.

This is the fourth word from the cross.

Developer Update | Overwatch Uprising (EU) - Duration: 6:19.

Hi, everyone. I'm Jeff from the Overwatch team.

Welcome to today's Developer Update.

This one is particularly exciting for me,

because we get to introduce you to Overwatch Uprising

the new Overwatch event, which is now live.

So, I want to talk a little bit about why we decided to make this event.

We listened to community feedback a lot.

We really care what you guys have to say, and we've seen all the enthusiasm

for the previous events that we've run, like Halloween Terror or

Winter Wonderland. And we've seen a lot of desire for a

non-real-world-related holiday event. So, something that we came

up with kind of out of the blue. There's also been a big desire in the

community to hear more story behind Overwatch.

And then, add to that, we got such a favorable response to

Junkenstein's Revenge that people really enjoyed playing a little bit

more PvE or fighting AI-controlled enemies; that there was this great

convergence on the development team to create this event called

Overwatch Uprising. So, little history behind the event.

We wanted to create something that allowed us to take any moment from

Overwatch history, almost pulling out of the declassified Overwatch archives and

saying "Here was a cool moment in Overwatch history. We want to deliver it

to you and let you as a player live through it firsthand."

So, what we chose was a moment in Overwatch history that we call

"The Golden Era" of Overwatch. So, in the Overwatch timeline, there was

the Omnic Crisis, when Overwatch was formed. That was sort of 30 years before

the game that you guys know and play every day took place.

Then there were "The Golden Years" that took place after the Omnic Crisis

was resolved, but when Overwatch, the organization, was in its heyday.

And then there was the fall of Overwatch, which we talked a little bit

about in the 76 teaser video that we showed.

So, this takes place in "The Golden Era," and what's

special about this event is that it is Tracer's first mission with Overwatch.

And you'll see we're putting out a comic along with this.

And I encourage you all to read it. But you'll see, at the time, Tracer's

sort of in training. But we're going to send a

crack team in to deal with the conflict that's taking place in King's Row.

That crack team is Reinhardt, Mercy, and Torbjörn.

They need somebody who's familiar with the area.

And who better than Tracer to come in with them.

So, this event will manifest itself in a number of ways to you as a player.

One: there's a cool new loot box that has all sorts of really great items.

Not only does it have the skins that "The Golden Era"

Overwatch characters wore.

So, you'll see the Reinhardt, Torbjörn, Mercy and Tracer skins.

But, we also sort of selectively pulled out some really cool moments in

Overwatch history to make skins for as well.

So, you'll see Genji and McCree's Blackwatch skin or a Talon

version of Widowmaker, that we think is really cool.

So, there are some good skins for you guys to enjoy.

The loot boxes have a lot of other cool stuff in there:

great animations, some cool sprays, and voice lines.

So, hopefully, those are really appealing to you as well.

The thing that we're most excited about are the two game modes that

we're adding to the Arcade for this.

So, the main one is called Overwatch Uprising--just like the event.

That's where you get to step into one of these four characters and

play through this really cool event that's all PvE.

It's much longer than Junkenstein's Revenge was.

So, you'll get to experience a lot more. There's a lot of story there.

There's some really interesting other things going on

like Morrison and Ana Amari are sort of giving you direction over your comms.

So, hopefully, that gives you a little bit more insight into what

Overwatch was like back in the day as well.

And then for the Arcade, again, based on feedback that we heard from you

with Junkenstein's Revenge; we also are adding another

card to the Arcade, which is the exact same brawl, Overwatch Uprising, but

you could play with any hero you want.

So, you can pick any of the 24 heroes and try all sorts of crazy

combinations to see, you know, "Hey look how overpowered

D.Va and Zarya are together" or "Look at how challenging it is

if we do it with four DPS and no healer."

That could be a really fun challenge for you.

So, we heard a lot of desire after the Junkenstein event that

people wanted to play with whatever hero they wanted. So we're

giving you sort of two versions. The intended version, but also the

super-fun, play-whoever-you-want version.

There are achievements, some of them apply to one of the cards, and most of

them apply to to the other cards. So, there's achievements that you can

unlock and there are spray rewards for those as well.

Really, you know, at its core, Overwatch, was designed to be a PvP game.

And we really believe in that six vs. six, player vs. player,

team-based action-shooter. That's what the game was designed to be.

We had so much fun making Junkenstein's Revenge

and your response to it was so overwhelmingly positive and a lot of us

have worked on PvE games before, like World of Warcraft or the Starcraft

campaign, that it was just so much fun for us to try to branch out and do

something a little bit different.

So, we hope you not only enjoy all of the story elements that exist in the

Overwatch Uprising event, but also the new gameplay that hadn't really

existed in any other form in Overwatch to date.

So, we hope you have as much fun with Overwatch Uprising

when it comes to playing it, as we did with making it.

And again, thanks for all the feedback that led us here in the first place.

Have fun with it.

Still Loving You | 闪耀的恩秀 | 빛나라 은수 - Ep.91 [SUB : ENG,CHN,IND / 2017.04.11] - Duration: 33:17.

Um...

Hi.

It's been a long time.

Who are you?

Don't you recognize me?

It's me, Jeong-a. Oh Jeong-a.

I thought you'd become a successful pianist,

but you're a director at a food company.

Oh, right.

You hurt your fingers, right?

Why? Why are you here?

I thought I'd just call,

but it's been so long that

I wanted to see you.

Didn't you want to see me?

Oh? Director Yoon.

Yes.

Were you coming to see me?

Yes.

Mr. Lee sent along assessments of job applicants.

Please review it and sign it.

I was on my way to Director Kim's office.

Will you come in, and we'll talk inside?

Would that be okay?

Or we can just do it here.

What's the matter with you?

This is a workplace.

Hurry up if you have something to say.

Something to say?

I have a lot to say.

Director Yoon, read this at the bottom.

Oh. They all look good.

Do you not feel well?

You're as pale as a ghost.

- And sign here. / - Okay.

Have you gotten any news of Ms. Oh Eunsu

since then?

What are you getting at?

I've had a tough time,

but you're doing well as always.

This is so unfair.

I must make everything right.

Here.

Thank you.

I'll contact those who passed the first round.

Okay.

Oh. You had a guest.

I'll come back later.

No. She was just leaving.

Hello.

I'm Bitna's friend from high school.

Oh, hello.

But I don't think I saw you at the wedding.

Oh. I've been rather unwell.

Bitna, I'll get going for now.

No. You can stay and chat for a while.

I can call her more often from now on.

Save my phone number.

I'll be in touch again.

Bitna, what's wrong?

Are you sick?

I don't feel well...

You're really pale, too.

Your forehead is drenched in sweat.

I don't think I can stay.

I'm going home.

Okay. I'll drive you.

No. I can go alone.

No. How can you drive like this?

It's not that bad.

Stay.

I'll take a taxi if I have to.

Are you sure?

Yes.

Call me when you get home,

since I'll worry otherwise.

Okay.

Thank you.

Why is she back, after all this time?

What does she want from me?

(Episode 91)

Oh, hello.

Hello.

You must be here to see Dr. Yoon.

Yes. She left something at home.

I see. So long.

Wait.

I know I'm being a busybody,

but about you and Yeonmi...

It pains me to see you two like this.

The parents of sisters-in-law marrying was taboo

in the past, but times have changed.

Bitna and Eunsu becoming stepsisters

would complicate matters a bit,

but it's no big deal, is it?

What I mean is that

you and Yeonmi make such a great pair

that it would trump such complications.

Um, thank you for your concern, but...

It's because of my own painful past.

Due to my family's opposition,

I lost someone I loved in my 20s.

And it's still eating away at me.

But to give up someone you love at your age?

I think that's like giving up on life.

Over time, the kids will understand, too.

My goodness. I've kept you for too long.

Thank you for your concern, Sunjeong.

Chin up.

Okay. Goodbye then.

I'm back.

Hi.

Take this to Bitna since you're going upstairs.

She might be sleeping,

so take it in quietly.

Is Bitna sick?

She left work early and was all pale,

like she was coming down with a cold.

Oh, I see.

Check her forehead for a fever.

It's bad since she can't take medicine.

- Go on up. / - Okay.

Oh, no. She has a mild fever.

Hey, Oh Eunsu, what are you doing?

Please leave me alone.

Mom. Mom...

What are you doing?

Oh... You have a fever.

Take everything out.

Then I'll leave the towel and the basin,

just in case.

I told you to take everything out.

Are you hard of hearing?

What happened? You seem angry.

I'm not.

Do you feel better?

No.

I even have a fever.

What should we do?

I know it's hard, but for the baby's sake,

let's go to a doctor, okay?

Just for the baby's sake?

Are you only being nice because of the baby?

Geez.

You seem sensitive since you're sick.

Of course you're both important.

Okay? Let's go see a doctor.

I'm taking Bitna to the doctor.

- Why? / - Oh, Bitna.

Is it that bad?

Yes.

Then hurry to the doctor.

No, no. You go, too.

Okay.

It's okay.

I'll just quickly see my primary care physician.

Why? I'll come with you.

Wait in the car.

- I'll be right out. / - Okay.

Good.

Let's go.

Did mom have dinner?

Yes.

She's sleeping after just half a bowl of porridge.

Eunho.

Yes?

Your mom says she's not dating him.

A relationship can't be severed that easily.

I'm just upset that mom dated that woman's father.

I'm upset, too.

And I also misunderstood.

But that's not it.

It just happened that way.

Your mom suffered a lot, too.

I know that much, so...

Thank you for dinner.

Was Bitna okay during the night?

Her fever is down,

but she tossed and turned all night.

She only went to bed in the early morning.

How will she manage if she's so sensitive?

Even the doctor told her to relax.

Suhyeon, did something happen at work?

No, nothing happened.

If nothing happened at work or here,

could it be her grandma or dad?

Aunt Sunjeong.

What are you doing?

Ah, it's nothing.

How's the Well-Being Doenjang Stew doing?

Are the consumers responding?

We changed marketing to target young singles,

so they'll respond soon.

I'll check when I get to work.

If this doesn't work,

we should hurry with the next release.

It's best to quickly let go of a flop.

Suhyeon, have faith in me.

Sales will pick up soon.

I have a hunch.

You don't do business on a hunch.

You make predictions based on data...

You can't ascertain consumer demand from data.

You must observe consumers

to figure out what they want.

Enough. Enough already.

It's too early in the morning.

Neither of your approaches is wrong.

They're just different.

Find the middle ground. Therein lies the answer.

Are you going to work?

Yes.

Why don't you take a day off?

You barely slept.

It's stifling to be at home, too.

Then how about going to Pyeongchang-dong?

I'll talk to mom.

Pyeongchang-dong?

No. I'll stay here.

Why? It'll be nice for you to be with grandmother.

I'm fine.

I prefer being with you.

Suhyeon.

Yes?

You love me, right?

Of course.

You won't leave me no matter what, right?

What are you talking about?

I'm just asking.

Good grief. No wonder you can't sleep.

Relax instead of worrying about silly things.

Okay?

I'm nervous that you,

my beloved, will find out about my past.

I'm afraid.

Oh. Did you see someone at work yesterday?

Who?

I don't know.

Perhaps someone you used to know.

Why do you ask?

Take care of yourself.

This is something I heard.

An expectant mother must practice kindness.

Was that concern or a threat?

Yes, yes. Okay.

Okay.

Wow, Ms. Oh. Congratulations.

Pardon?

The Well-Being Doenjang Stew that you

and Mr. Yoon developed is doing very well.

Supermarkets are calling to secure stock.

Mr. Lee!

The promo video we made is very popular.

Targeting young singles was the way to go.

Ms. Oh, congratulations.

Shouldn't you let Mr. Yoon know?

Yes.

Ms. Oh, I called already and told him that

we're all coming to the restaurant.

Wow. I'm so happy.

Thank you.

Are you here to see Yeonmi?

Pardon?

Oh. I'm Yeonmi's friend.

I run a real estate agency here.

I see. Nice to meet you.

Yeonmi is sick and won't be working for a while.

What's wrong?

It's nothing serious.

She's taking a few days off due to gastritis.

I see.

When Yeonmi returns, I'll tell her that you came by.

Okay. Thank you.

Oh, wow.

Have this.

I made a special dish.

Thank you.

Thank you for going out of your way for us.

It's downtime for us, so take your time

and eat your fill.

- Will do. Thank you. / - Thank you.

- Enjoy. / - Looks good.

There's no alcohol,

but let's toast with water at least.

To Eunsuho doenjang stew.

Cheers.

Thank you all for your help.

I didn't do this alone.

I couldn't have done this

without all of you at Planning.

Eunsu, in particular, was pivotal to this success.

How can you be so cheesy

without a drop of alcohol in you?

That's what being in love does.

I've been in love, too, okay?

You two, stop being immature.

Who hasn't been in mad, passionate love?

You haven't.

Does it show?

How did you know?

Really?

Then tell me what your ideal type is.

I'll set you up with a girl.

Really?

Yes.

No need to look far.

Between Ji-eun and Hyeona,

who is closer to your ideal type?

If I have to pick...

I'd go with you.

Pardon?

Mr. Lee? So you play for the other team?

What are you talking about, Ms. Park?

I like cheerful and positive types like Mr. Yoon.

Neither of you fit the bill.

The feeling is mutual.

Yes, hello?

It's me. Why aren't you answering your phone?

I was listening to the prenatal music you got me.

I see. Let's go home together.

(Missed Call: Oh Jeong-a)

Bitna, I'll come to your office.

No. I have to go somewhere.

Where?

You're not picking up.

I have no choice then.

I should go to your grandmother's and explain.

Oh Jeong-a!

What are you doing here?

You came.

I told you.

I came to see your grandmother.

What do you want from me?

Money? I'll give it to you.

Name your price.

Who is it?

Who is it?

It's Miss Bitna,

but she says she'll be in later.

What? Why won't she come right in?

How much do you want?

You haven't changed one bit.

What?

I don't want your stupid money.

Then what is it?

I want the truth to come to light.

The truth?

Yes. The truth about what happened 8 years ago.

Are you playing games with me?

You show up after 8 years

to bring the truth to light?

I know it's late,

but I will definitely expose the truth.

And then I'll make you kneel before Ms. Oh

and apologize to her.

You were part of that twisted past.

You haven't forgotten, right?

Yes. I was part of it, too.

That's why I still can't forgive myself.

I haven't had a day of peace

for the past 8 years because of that.

The guilt I felt toward Ms. Oh

has tormented me to no end.

Let's go. Come with me.

Let's come clean.

That's your problem.

I've forgotten what happened 8 years ago.

If you're done here, go away!

You made me your accomplice.

You hurt yourself

and then threatened me

into saying it was Ms. Oh Eunsu!

Do you still not remember?

I said, do you not remember?

Kim Bitna,

let's go turn ourselves in.

I can't live like this anymore.

Stop being ridiculous.

I thought you would've changed a little.

No. I held onto a sliver of hope.

Because we were young then.

We didn't know better.

But not anymore.

We're adults now.

We should at least have some conscience!

I don't know what you're talking about.

It was 8 years ago.

Please go.

You're really

hopeless, aren't you?

"I don't know." "I don't remember"...

Do you think you can just deny it?

Will you go if I apologize

to you?

I can do that much.

You're a liar and human scum,

and you're lacking

even an iota of conscience.

If you keep holding out like this,

I'll come clean on my own.

I'll tell Ms. Oh the truth

and put everything back in its proper place.

How are you?

Oh Jeong-a, how dare you?

Let go!

Oh Jeong-a, how dare you?

How much did you hear?

Everything.

I heard everything.

Why did you do it?

I just couldn't stand her.

Everything about her upset and irritated me.

I didn't like that she and her mom were so close.

I also didn't like that

she took issue with everything I did,

unlike the other teachers.

I only wanted to spite her a little at first.

I didn't know it would get so...

Dad, I was young back then.

I didn't know any better.

I didn't feel good about it.

Be that as it may...

Be that as it may,

you ruined someone's life!

Grandma wanted to find mom in me,

so she forced me to play piano,

and you were too busy with work.

I had no one.

You wouldn't know

how it felt to have everything,

but feel so empty inside.

A relationship can't be severed that easily.

I'm just upset that mom dated that woman's father.

Park Yeonmi,

what have you done with your life?

Seeking love at this age?

It's all a luxury.

You don't deserve it.

You don't.

Uri and Nara, let's eat.

Come on out.

- Looks good. / - Nara.

I don't think she'll be eating.

Why not? Is she on a diet?

No.

Nara.

What has upset my dear Nara so much?

I'm not eating.

Then I'll starve, too.

You should eat.

You're hungry.

No.

How can I eat if you don't?

I'm sorry.

Uri told me.

Why are you sorry?

Do you think I love you because of your grades?

No matter how you do on a test,

I love you just the same.

Uri's grade shot up from 20% to 40%.

Oh! Whoa, really?

Uri has done so much better

thanks to your help.

I'm sorry.

I should've helped him.

I'm sorry that you had to help Uri study, too.

Don't be sorry.

I'm happy, too, that Uri's grade improved.

You have a lot on your plate with your webtoon.

That's right.

The webtoon is hard work,

so I'm famished right now.

You want us to eat?

Yes.

Okay.

- Let's go. / - Shall we?

Okay.

Hello.

Hello.

I'll have the usual.

I see that your hairstyle has changed.

Did you put your hair up?

It's a bit hot.

The updo looks nice on you.

Maybe it's your slender neck.

It really suits you.

Oh, my. What a thing to notice.

Thank you.

Goodness me.

He's unexpectedly raunchy

to steal a look at my long, white neck.

Yes?

Oh? Uri and Nara.

Why are you poking me?

You ask her.

What is it?

Go ahead.

The thing is...

The math workbooks you got us...

Yes. Are you working hard on them?

Since you got us the workbooks,

we'd like customer service.

Customer service? What could that be?

There are some problems she can't solve.

We don't go to math cram school,

so we have no one to ask.

I'm glad you came.

I majored in science,

so math is my forte.

Ask me anything. Come here.

Okay. Let's see.

You made me your accomplice.

You hurt yourself

and then threatened me

into saying it was Ms. Oh Eunsu!

Grandma wanted to find mom in me,

so she forced me to play piano,

and you were too busy with work.

I had no one.

How... How can this be?

So Bitna ruined not one, but two people's lives?

Hello.

Are you here to see Director Kim?

Yes. But she's not in.

She isn't?

She was here just now.

Then wait inside.

I'll go find her.

Okay. Thank you.

What's your name?

Hi, grandma.

I was wondering how mom was doing.

She's gotten a bit better.

She went back to the laundry today.

How do you think she's doing?

She pretends she's fine.

She's eating well

and laughing more than usual.

But I'm sure she's a wreck inside,

considering how badly I'm doing myself.

I'm sorry, grandma.

This happened because of me.

It's really no one's fault.

It's due to unfortunate encounters.

Don't worry too much about us.

Okay.

Call me if anything comes up.

Okay. Bye.

Oh? Ms. Oh, here you are.

I have something to do,

but someone is in Director Kim's office.

Would you bring the guest coffee?

Sure.

Recipient unavailable. Connecting to voicemail...

She just won't pick up.

Do you know where Director Kim went?

No, I don't know where she went.

Why did you hurt me like that?

I begged you to tell the truth.

I'll take care of it now.

I'm turning myself in.

Do you still see

old friends these days?

I'm pregnant,

so I'm tired and sensitive.

Jae-u.

Mother,

I ruined Bitna.

Did your dad say anything?

Dad won't tell that woman and Ms. Oh, will he?

No way...
