Metal Gear Solid Movie (News Update) 🎥 - Duration: 10:21.

metal gear solid movie

what's up everybody lee the

fourth coming at your once again with some

news update type shit this time I wanted

to bring to your attention but talking

about i've been in the works for the

Metal Gear Solid feature film now a lot

of us have been hearing rumors & murmurs

about this for a long ass time but

nothing has really you know been

solidified an article written by adam

chitwood from collider shed some more

light on all this metal gear solid movie

talk so it turns out that Jordan

vogt-roberts I think that's how you

pronounce milne I still don't know for

sure it supposedly signed on to helm

this project through sony now judging by

what sony has done with the fucking you

know spider-man property and them having

to give it up and give it back to Marvel

it kind of does it make me real

confident in their abilities to do a

metal gear solid feature film I'm going

to admit that I'm a little worried that

they might fuck this up and Jordan

vogt-roberts despite the fact that kong skull

island was pretty dope I'm not really

too familiar with this director outside

of that so it makes me a little worried

that you know he might not be able to

bring metal gear solid to the feature

film you know round without you know

screwing some shit up there's always you

know the executives in the higher-ups

the suit-and-tie motherfucker they're

usually the ones that kind of ruin this

type of shit but despite the fact that

I'm apprehensive about this I decided to

go ahead and read through the article to

see what kind of director I'm really

dealing with because like I said I know

that he did kong skull island I actually

was somewhat pleased with that movie it

wasn't a bad movie by any means it just

didn't really seem like you know the guy

who made that could make metal gear this

metal gear such a it's just such a beast

in its own right there you kind of have

to really do that shit right but you

know let me go ahead and read off the

questions and the answers that this

director gave and yeah maybe that will

set some people's minds that Eve's like

it did for me so let's go ahead and jump

english so seed wine crab who's also

employed by collider caught up with

Jordan vogt-roberts at a press day for

Kong Skull Island and ask for an update

on metal gear and this is what

Jordan vogt-roberts had to say Metal Gear Solid

is probably the most important franchise

to me on the planet it is such a genius

ideal syncretic work and being able to

spend time with Hideo Kojima recently

has been like a dream he

the best and his whole team is the best

we are working on the script this is a

property that I will fight tooth and

nail to make sure it's done properly

because it's so easy to screw it up and

so easy for a studio to try to make it

into GI Joe or try and make it into

Mission Impossible or try and make it

into something that is not metal gear

solid needs to be exactly what it means

to be which is Metal Gear Solid whoa my

nigga now that makes me wonder like you

know say that you're probably my

favorite director now because you

understand that this she ate need to be

taken seriously and it's not to be

trifled with and the fact that he's

taking the time to actually sit down

with email coaching my himself to try to

dress up the script is oh now I'm

convinced that this year is going to be

motherfucking dope now and I hope that

he actually you know gets to make this

come to a nice because you know he's

going to the original creator so sure

you know this is you eat props and he

also had this to say it's so interesting

because unlike a comic book that has had

40 writers or 100 writers over the

course of a decade or two decades or

whatever for decades now madam your

silent has essentially had one voice so

you're dealing with a highly highly

specific property that's ideal syncretic

with one person in one person's point of

view and the way in which they interpret

sort of culture and Western culture and

twist that back around into the super

pure amazing property that has a tone

that I think is unlike anything else

that is out there I actually make that

when people see calm they'll realize

like oh totally there are things that

sort of line up with this where this can

be incredibly serious dark and intense

or it can also be incredibly goofy and

kind of takes a piss out of itself and

be plastic at times much like Metal Gear

luckily there are amazing producers on

it but that's a property that is so pure

and important to my soul because it's

something that I grew up on that I would

love to Shepherd into the film that it

needs to be I think it'd be a massive

film I think it'd be an incredible film

but it needs to be done in a way that

completely honors what metal gear is

because it's a classic and it's a

seminal work not just in video games

putting media man you speaking my

language Jordan I'm liking everything

that you are saying right now I didn't

realize you were such a big metal gear

fan I bet if I were to meet you in real

life

no we might be able to you know damn it

up now with the release of such movies

as Deadpool and Logan you know it was

our rating it was brought to Jordan's

attention you know hey you think that

metal gear could go in this route and

here's what he had to say I think that

for me i want to make the version of the

movie that is most true to what it needs

to be so that is a deadpool or logan

route where you go with a smaller budget

and you're able to make it are great if

you need to blow it out more really get

that bigger budget and go pg-13 I think

it could exist in both avenues there are

hyper violent parts to metal gear but I

would not necessarily call the hyper

violent parts of core element of it

versus like the tone and the voice and

the philosophies that the characters

exhibit those characters sort of are

these walking philosophy so I think

nailing that part is far more important

necessarily been thinking about the

rating at this point because right now

we're just trying to get the best

version of it you know what I got to

agree i think that Metal Gear Solid

could exist in the pg-13 space but they

might have to like kind of push the

boundaries of that rating a bit but if

it's in our space it could definitely

exist there easily but I feel like it

might dip too far into the over violent

nature which you know member yet has a

lot of violence in it but that like you

said is not the focal point of the

series it's much more going on there and

it's never really been like two overly

gruesome to suffer you know I guess you

can count the cyborg ninja hallway scene

where he's estimated all them soldiers

but aside from that has never been to

over league or anything like that even

when you you know play the game you

blast a fucking soldier plaint blankets

head doesn't explode or anything so I

think it could you know like you said

existed either space Jordan was also

asked if you know the uncertainty based

on whether it's going to be pg-13 or r

has affected the screen writing process

and this is what he had to say I think

right now the more important thing is

let's nail the voice let's mail a story

that makes sense you look at the scope

of the Metal Gear world and you go all

the way back to the 60s and before that

in the Lord and then you go to the more

contemporary games in the near future

and stuff like that you're dealing with

decades and decades and decades of

characters you're dealing with like okay

how does solid snake and big boss in Iraq how major zero

and all those other people interact with

each other how do you pick and choose

the cyborg ninja and the sniper wolf and

all these people and have them fit into

a narrative that makes sense

now thinking about that hit on the point

that would be hard because there's a lot

of intricate characters I don't know how

they're gonna fit them all into one of

them it's going to take someone with a

lot of skill to pull that off I mean

they've managed to do it with the Marvel

properties you know like till the war

and Avengers and shit so it can be done

but it takes a real delicate touch and

so it was very astute you know in that

category he also went on to say that

he's trying to make a metal gear film

that would make metal gear solid super

fans completely pleased and for that oh

man yeah I'm going to go see this

fucking movie if it gives me so let's go

at sea the last thing you had to say

about this subject so first and foremost

beyond thinking about budget I want to

find the version that someone like you

who's like a super fan of this property

would say they did it that's my middle

year that's my shit beyond that being a

video game movie beyond the difference

between active experience and passive

experience and why people haven't been

able to translate an active experience

into a good passive experience in the

shape of a film beyond that question to

me it's not even about being a video

game movie Metal Gear is an important

story an important set of characters so

it just needs to be approached right

from how we nail that and once we mail

that then budget questions will happen

then those things will happen down the

road but right now I'm just working with

incredible producers and trying to make

a version that you or a metal gear mega

fan would be proud of and when people

would be comfortable with that version

to say I know this is different i know

this is not exactly the way a normal

movie might go but this is very metal

gear and that is what will make random

joe shmoe and Nebraska who has no idea

what metal gear is that is what will

make them fall in love with this

franchise and with Solid snake these

people and that will make them say

beyond the nerve verse and things like

that who already accept this thing as

super important it's such a potentially

massive thing that we're focused on

getting that right first man this guy is

just saying all the right things you can

tell he is totally passionate about the

series he knows who major zero is he knows that

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater took

place in the 1960s the Cold War and all

that shit he he's definitely sat down

with hideo kojima he knows his shit like

I said Kong skull island was pretty cool so I

said that this guy can do middle your

son right after reading this and even

though Sony behind that I hope that they

take their hands off the reins and let

guy do a thing because it can shape up

to be a great movie if he's able to do

it right and the thing is that this guy

seems so passionate about it then if

they don't kind of let him about it kind

of have a you know the creative freedom

to do sting I was feeling that he'll

just say fuck it but another thing is

that I gotta say you know in the movie

Space Sony years and doing too great but

in the video game space Sony is doing

fantastic and they do have a partnership

with Hideo Kojima for said stranding so

I definitely feel like maybe they could

do right by this especially considering

the senator they respect cause you much

so much so with that being said I'm

excited and I can't wait to see what

goes down with this so what do you guys

Response to the 4 Revolutionary Riddles - Veritasium - Duration: 4:15.

Before you watch this video, make sure you have seen this video made by Veristablium.

Riddle 1: When a cylinder was put on a slope, it alternated between rolling and not rolling

several times.

How is this possible?

It is physically impossible for a solid cylinder to behave like this.

Therefore, the cylinder must be not solid.

The inner part must be filled with some sort of viscous fluid or sand-like material.

When the cylinder is rolling the material on the inside, which we will call material

X, will get slightly behind and will get slanted.

At a certain point, Material X is at such an angle that it wants to return to its original,

lowest energy state.

Material X will now move forward, but since conservation of momentum requires the total

amount of momentum to be constant, the cylinder will slow down.

This process will now be repeated, hence the alternating velocity.

Riddle 2: If you tie a string on the lower pedal of a bicycle, and you pull on it.

In what direction will the bike move?

If we look at the bike as one rigid block, the answer might be obvious: The bike will

come towards you.

But if you take a closer look at the pedals, it appears the applied force will result in

forwards pedaling.

So which one is true?

To simulate in which way the pedals are moving, we need some data: Let's say that the wheel

has a diameter of 1 meter, that the pedals make a circle with a diameter of 50 cm and

that front gear is twice the size of the gear on the back.

Assumed that the wheel is rolling counterclockwise with a velocity of 1 m/s, both the wheel and

its gear will have an angular velocity of 2 rad/s.

Since the gear in front was twice size, its angular velocity will be half of 2 rad/s.

Now, this value can be translated into the speed of the pedal with respect to the bike,

0.25 m/s.

Or in other words, the paddle will move towards you with a speed of 0.75 m/s.

Concluding: Pulling on the string will result in both the pedal, and the whole bike going

towards you.

One final thought though: if you pull on the bike sideways: the bike will fall over.

Riddle 3 is about running two laps on a track.

The first lap will be completed with an average velocity called V1, the second lap with V2.

The average velocity of the two laps combined equals 2 times V1.

What was the velocity at which you ran your second lap?

The definition of average speed is defined as the distance traveled divided by the time

elapsed.

For lap 1, this equation will look like this: the length of the track divided by the time

in which you ran it.

The average speed of the two laps combined, will be two times the distance divided by

an unknown amount of time.

But as we can see, this amount of time will be also be t1.

So in order to get an average speed which is equal to twice V1, you must run the two

laps in a time which is equal to the time elapsed in your first lap.

Therefore, the second lap was run in an instant, meaning infinite velocity.

The last riddle is a following: What part of the train is always moving backwards with

respect to the ground?

To find this answer, we must look at the wheels of the train.

It is given that the axis of a wheel has exactly the velocity of the train.

And that the bottom part of the wheel has the same velocity as the ground.

A straight line can be drawn between the two data points, resulting in a linear function

for the velocity of every part of the wheel.

It is fun to note that the upper part of the wheel is always going twice the velocity of

the train.

But what part is moving backwards?

If we look at a side view of a wheel, we can see that the wheel is not resting on its lowest

part, the so called flanges are actually lower.

These flanges are there to keep the train on its track but are also the reason why there

is always a part of the train moving backwards.

The Mystery of the Church - Duration: 26:32.

Jesus Christ established God's true Church almost 2,000 years ago.

Discover the purpose for God's true Church.

Learn what sets it apart from the rest, next, on The Key of David, with Gerald Flurry.

Greetings, everyone.

One of the biggest mysteries in traditional Christianity is, Why the Church?

Why did Christ establish His Church?

I'm telling you, it is a mystery to this world.

The sixth mystery is, Why the Church? in Herbert W. Armstrong's book, Mystery of the Ages,

and I've already covered five of those mysteries of the seven, and so today I'd like to concentrate

on the sixth one "Why the Church?"

Surely that must be extremely important to us, and let me tell you, it was SUPREMELY

important to Jesus Christ, and He had to risk His ETERNAL LIFE to establish His Church.

That's how high the stakes were.

Notice Matthew 16 and verse 18; I'll just read a part of this verse.

Christ said, "I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against

it."

"I will build My Church, and the gates of hell, or Hades, are not going to prevail against

it."

Now, that's quite a statement for Christ to say, and He's just telling us, "Look, I'll

build it and it will never die.

It's never going to die."

And if you read the Bible you know it talks about the Church being a little flock, and

that in itself tells you, really, that Why the Church is a MYSTERY to this world.

That is just a revealing statement in itself.

But most people in this world do not recognize that Church, and perhaps one of the reasons

is because it's so small, COMPARED to other churches.

But Christ came to this Earth, and one of the big reasons He came was to establish His

Church.

I want to read to you some of the most profound statements, just a couple of them here from

Herbert W. Armstrong's book, Mystery of the Ages.

I mean TRULY they are PROFOUND and something ALL of us I believe need to think DEEPLY about.

But why did Christ come?

Well, He had to, first of all "qualify, where the first Adam failed to replace the former

archangel Lucifer on the throne of the earth, ruling with the government of God.

He had come, 2) to announce the future establishment of the kingdom of God and teach that prophetic

good news (gospel) to his chosen future apostles.

He had come 3) to take on himself, as our direct Creator, the penalty for our sins by

his death on the cross, that we might share in that world.

And he had come 4) to be resurrected from the dead by God, making possible eternal God-life

for the people of God and after his Second Coming for ALL who are willing, of all humanity,

who have ever lived on this earth.

And he had come 5) to establish God's Church, to be trained to rule under him.

"When Jesus was about age 30, he was ready to begin choosing his apostles, and proclaiming

and teaching them his message from God to man, his gospel.

But first," notice this very important point.

But before He could do that, "it was imperative that he qualify to replace Satan and set up

the kingdom of God, by overcoming the devil."

Now, that's an amazing statement!

"This perhaps was the most important, momentous, decisive confrontation and battle ever fought

at all time in the universe."

And so in essence he's saying, "Look, I don't even want to go and teach the apostles and

give them this message and all of that before I first qualify to replace Satan on his throne."

Now, that's an understanding that we all need to have, because if He didn't conquer Satan,

if He didn't overcome Satan, then it was all over for ALL of us, including Himself.

He could not sin and still be our Savior.

But let me tell you this, that Satan knew that he was about to have a battle with Jesus

Christ, and it was about whether or not he would be dethroned from ruling this Earth,

which he does now, as II Corinthians 4 and verse 4 tells us.

But here Christ had fasted 40 days and 40 nights, and that's a long time to go without

food and water, and so Satan knew he needed to talk about THAT to try to get Him to weaken.

And of course, the most vulnerable SPIRITUAL weakness is VANITY, and notice what Satan

said to Christ in Matthew 4 and verse 3: "If," Satan sort of sneered at Christ, "IF," the

word "If" here, notice that, "If thou be the Son of God, a normal human would certainly

have replied to that, "Well, that's INSULTING for him to say that.

What do you mean, IF I'm the Son of God?"

But Jesus didn't respond that way.

He was perfect spiritually.

And then notice, going on down a little further, well, he talked about the bread and then the

water, and he also said, well, "The Son of God can produce miracles.

PROVE to me you are the Son of God!"

In other words, by "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."

He made THAT statement.

"IF you are the Son of God."

He kept hammering that point home, trying to approach Christ through vanity.

But it didn't work at all because Christ was perfect.

But then notice verse 4: "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every

word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

So Satan had failed.

And then Satan took Christ up into Jerusalem, at one of the very high pinnacles of the temple,

and he had this to say again, "IF you be the Son of God," verse 6, "IF you be the Son of

God," the third time, and here's a scripture He quoted, "cast thyself down: for it is written,

He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee

up, lest at any time thou dash thy food against a stone."

Now, "he misapplied this, twisted its contextual meaning."

But look, Satan does this to people in this world all the time.

He misapplies these scriptures and we have to really be close to God to be able to see

what he's doing, letting the mind of Christ live in us so we can respond the way Christ

did.

That's what we ought to be doing, and that's the ONLY way we can succeed.

Notice now in verse 7 of Matthew 4: "It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord

thy God."

And that's also quoted in Deuteronomy 6 and verse 16.

Isn't that amazing that Jesus Christ was actually quoting SCRIPTURES to him, and in this case,

from the Old Testament.

And He said in verse 4 you have to live by every word of God!

He set the example for us!

That means, what we can call the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Verse 8.

"Next he took Jesus atop a high mountain," and notice what he said.

He showed him ALL the kingdoms of the Earth.

He said: "All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me."

Now, you need to notice that Jesus Christ didn't deny that all these nations were under

Satan, the devil because he's the god of this world.

But then Jesus Christ knew that He was going to be ruling this Earth a little over nineteen-hundred

years later.

But then in verse 10 you can see He had dealt with Satan, the devil, and He COMMANDED Satan

to "Get OUT of here!"

"Get thee hence," He told Satan,.

"Get out of here!"

And Satan slunk away because he knew he had to obey the authority of God.

God is the MASTER over Satan ALL the time!

But He had a job to do here, and now notice one more quote.

"Jesus Christ, the second Adam, had qualified!

Never until that minute could the good news of the coming kingdom of God be announced

to the world."

In other words, He had to conquer the devil, He had to overcome him before He could replace

Satan on his throne, and He qualified right there!

Now, He's also giving another couple of thousand years for His Church to ALSO qualify, the

same way Christ did, only it's not such a titanic battle as Christ had with Satan.

But the paragraph concludes: "Now the Son of God resisted and conquered Satan, had qualified

to reestablish God's government and set up the kingdom of God on the Earth!

But now the Church must also qualify to rule with him!"

Well, hey, the Church has to qualify to rule with Christ!

Christ had to qualify to replace Satan on his throne.

You and I have to qualify to SHARE that throne with Him before the Second Coming.

And we're going to be kings and priests as well, just like Christ is a King.

But I think that's just amazing that all of a sudden, after He conquered Satan and was

qualified to replace him on his throne, then He could go out and preach the Gospel, the

GOOD NEWS of the coming Kingdom of God, that this evil world is about to come to a close,

and I mean it's right on the immediate horizon!

It's about to happen!

The Gospel of Jesus Christ began being proclaimed after that amazing battle.

This is in Mark, and notice what Christ says: "'The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ,

the Son of God;' Jesus came into Galilee, preaching [proclaiming, teaching] the gospel

of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at

hand: repent ye, and believe the Gospel."

But people don't even understand what REPENTANCE is today.

They don't even understand what the Gospel is; it's a mystery, and so is the Church,

a mystery.

But notice what Christ says that that Church must do.

It must proclaim that Gospel and realize NOW Christ has qualified and He's going to give

every human being who's ever lived an opportunity to be in His Family forever.

That's what the whole Holy Day plan is all about, and it teaches you that.

If you don't have our holy day booklet, please write for it because it will explain all that

to you.

But notice what it says in Revelation 3 and verse 21 to the Church of this 20th century.

Christ said this: "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne,

even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne."

That's verse 21 of Revelation 3.

He said, "Look.

You have to overcome, even as I overcame.

I had to overcome Satan the god of this world, and if you're going to rule with Me on that

throne, you're going to have to overcome him, too."

There's something to do in this Church of God.

The Church feeds the flock, and they have to overcome Satan, the devil, the all-powerful

god of this world.

Now, that is a mystery to this world.

It's a mystery.

It says in Revelation 5 and verse 10 we're going to be kings and priests.

It also says in Revelation 1 and verse 6 that we're ALREADY kings and priests, in embryo.

IF we are following God.

In other words, we'll be over Church and state.

I mean we'll be over everything, and Christ said you will be able to, with Him, rule this

world with a rod of iron.

In other words, with real authority and real direction because we have to, if we're going

to rule with Christ, we have to learn how to do that, how to teach people, in love,

but also well, with a certain amount of authority when we become God beings, like Christ is

God today.

So Jesus Christ is about to return, and now we're preparing ourselves, and we're going

to rule with Him for a thousand years over this world IF we qualify, IF we prepare ourselves

to be the bride of Jesus Christ.

That's what it's all about!

But how many people do you know that really understand that?

Now, it says in John 7 that there's coming a time when God is going to open the minds

of everybody in this world.

But that's not the way it is today, not that way at all.

This is really an unparalleled HONOR to be able to rule with Jesus Christ, and if we

need to be where Christ's Church is, or God's Church is, to be fed and prepare for that

AWESOME responsibility!

It's just mind-boggling!

But it's true, more true than what you see in this world really, and it's all a mystery

to this world.

We're going to be kings and priests forever, and that all will happen ONLY if we are being

fed and nourished and nurtured by the true Church of God.

So we have to be very careful about that.

SURELY we would know that you can't become a king and a priest without preparation, without

qualifying.

If Christ had to qualify to replace Satan on his throne, well, what about us?

So the word "Church" is from the Greek word ecclesia, and it just means "called-out ones."

Christ has to call us out and give us the very MIND of Christ (Philippians 2 and verse

5).

And in II Corinthians 4 and verse 4, it says that Satan has BLINDED THE MINDS of them which

believe not.

He's blinded them!

He's made all of this wonderful precious truth of God just a mystery, they don't understand

it.

You can look at Matthew 24 and verse 14.

Well, I'll just quickly read that to you.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;

and then shall the end come."

Now, what is Christ saying there?

People don't understand that verse, I'll tell you.

Think about it!

The Gospel was preached around the world in that first era, and now Christ is saying that

it isn't going to be preached again until the very end time.

Because when you see it preached around the world AGAIN, it will be this end time.

If it happened in 1100 or 700 or 1800, well, the end would have come THEN.

But He is saying that that Gospel was not preached from, let's say, 50 A.D. to 1953,

to be specific, and we can prove that to you.

But anyhow, that is a powerful statement, that people do not understand.

But look, the Gospel has not been going out to this world because, again, it is a MYSTERY

to this world.

They don't know what it is, and I'll explain more of that in the final program next week.

Notice what Herbert W. Armstrong wrote in his book: "It is a fact to stagger the mind

of the reader that the gospel of Jesus Christ was not proclaimed to the world from about

A..D. 50 until the year 1953."

See, all of this precious truth was hidden from this world by Satan, the devil that I

just mentioned to you before.

You can read Galatians 1, verses 6 and 7, and Paul was just APPALLED that the Church

members had already turned away from God, some 20 years after, that's my recollection,

about 20 years after they had been fed the truth, they were turning away from God.

It is a battle!

You have to overcome the devil!

I'll just give you a few comments here from people in the world telling you that something

happened in, let's say, at the end of that first century, and even the world can see

that in the history books of this world, at least they see some of it.

Here's The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, and here's what it says: "'The scanty and

suspicious materials on ecclesiastical history seldom enable us to dispel the dark cloud

that hangs over the first age of the Church.'

I have often called it the lost century."

That's Mr. Armstrong speaking.

And then, "A Handbook of Church History" wrote: "The thirty years which followed the close

of the New Testament Canon and the destruction of Jerusalem are in truth the most obscure

in the history of the Church."

See, people can see that.

"Well, what happened then?"

"In Lectures on Ecclesiastical History, William Fitzgerald: 'Over this period of transition

which immediately succeeds upon the era properly called apostolic, great obscurity hangs...'"

What happened?

Well, there are all kinds of these I could read.

But then the Roman Empire was ruling at that time, and something terrible was happening.

Now, even the HISTORY has become, the HISTORY of the Church has been blotted out, for the

most part, and it, too, is a mystery.

That's how much MYSTERY there is in this world.

Now, John came along in his epistles and explained all that history to us, and that's really

the main place, about the only place you'll find it, except a few other of John's writings

you'll find a smattering of it here and there.

But John explained it very well in those epistles of his.

And if you want to read about that, you can read it in my Last Hour booklet.

Well, I'll have to just mention this to you before I close, that God has given His Church

a DUAL responsibility, to proclaim the Gospel message and proclaim God's message to the

world.

In this era, it's "prophesy again," but that includes the Gospel.

And He also said, "Feed my sheep."

And look, there has to be a person PROCLAIMING it, God says.

but then if there aren't people out there backing him up, he couldn't do ANYTHING!

It's a team effort!

The Church is called the body of Christ, and it's all to function according to the MIND

of Christ.

That's what should be happening.

I want to just mention one more quote here that I think is powerful.

This was from a German theological school and it made this statement about that obscure

century in Church history: "During that time, a violent CONTEST was going on between two

gospels.

Some wanted the Gospel of Christ, which means the same Gospel Christ preached, the Gospel

of the Kingdom.

And others wanted a Gospel ABOUT Christ.

Which one do you think won out?"

Well, the Bible tells you.

Let me read where it is prophesied, where Christ, Himself, prophesied to you that would

happen in this end time, in particular.

Notice verse 3 of Matthew 24: "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came

unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the

sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" or the age.

Now, OK, they wanted a sign.

"Well, give us a sign.

What is going to happen?"

Well, notice verse 4: "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man

deceive you.

For MANY shall come in my name," in the name of Christ, "saying, I am Christ;" I, Christ,

am Christ, "and shall deceive many."

Shall deceive many.

Now, that is a phenomenal prophecy, and here this is a big reason you can see that the

Church is a MYSTERY to people.

They chose a message ABOUT Jesus Christ.

But they didn't choose the message OF Jesus Christ.

He is the Word.

The Bible is His Word.

It is Christ in print!

And God is telling us that, look, if we want to remove the MYSTERY we're going to have

to live by every Word of God!

Not just talk about the person of Christ and accepting Christ or whatever they would say

to you, but we have to keep His Word, His message, and live by every WORD of that Book,

of the Bible, or Christ in print.

That's what He's talking about.

You can read I Corinthians 15 and verse 50 where it talks about flesh and blood cannot

inherit the Kingdom of God.

The Kingdom of God is not the Church.

This is something spiritual.

It's a Family that we're born into if we're qualified, and Christ is helping us to be

qualified right now if we're willing.

Until next week, this is Gerald Flurry, goodbye, friends.

HOW & WHAT I STUDIED TO PASS THE RD EXAM - Duration: 8:11.

Am I going to fail?? I'm going to be

honest with you guys that R.D. exam

is no joke!

(MUSIC)

So HI everyone my name is Kim

I am a registered dietitian as usual if

you're new to my channel welcome go

ahead and push that subscribe button for

my regular visitors: welcome back. I'm

going to be honest with you guys that

R.D. exam is no joke! It's a hard aye!

Sometimes I think I'm in Canada so I

like to aye a lot. (Kiss) love to all my Canadians

out there. That R.D. exam had me very

very anxious. I'm just going to share

with you a few things I did to pass my

R.D. exam which may be helpful for you. If

you guys have watched any of my previous

videos popping up now. Click on it. You

guys will know that I did my internship

with the United States government so my

internship had a very heavy clinical

base and clinical foundation. So towards

the end of my internship my internship

director was encouraging all the

dietetic interns to go ahead and start

applying for a job because you're going

to be our R.D. eligible. So for those of you

that do not know basically what R.D.

eligible is it's when you're finished

with your internship, you haven't taken

your exam but, you can still apply for a

job and have a dietitian co-sign on your

notes. So that's what we all started to

do and I was offered a job before I

finished my internship. So I finished my

internship on a Friday and that Monday I

started my job. So what does this have to

do with the R.D. exam? So actually I was

not someone who you know took time off

right after finishing my internship and

just hit the books . The reason for that

is you know right after the internship

you need money, so definitely I was like

well you know why not kill two birds

with one stone get some money because

you know there's bills that have to be

paid and also learn as much from

actually being in the clinical setting. I

actually waited three months to take my

R.D. exam after I finished my internship

and during this time

I was working and I was studying. So

something that was always a little

difficult for me was memorizing the

whole entire list of medications and the

different micronutrients that it affects

so being able to work and to see how

solu-medrol can affect someone and to

see how all the other medications out

there could affect someone actually

helped me with my studies. Another tool

that I used was this book that I have

right here in front of me. I hope you

guys can see it's my R.D. exam review guide.

I actually got this book about two years

before taking my R.D. exam. Reason why I

got it two years before taking my R.D.

exam; another video popping up right now.

It was the only tool that I used to

study for my exam. So something that I

should have said with the Breeding and

Associates book it breaks down what the

exam will cover. So during the time that

I took my exam is said that 40 % was going to be on clinical and

community nutrition which I feel that

was my strong point. Twelve percent was

going to be on food science, food safety.

Ten percent was going to be on

counseling, communication, education and

research. Seventeen percent was going to

be on food service which was my weak

point and 21% percent was going

to be on management, marketing, quality

improvement, human resources. Something that

was always a little difficult for me

during the entire studying process where

these calculations that you find in food

service. Like finding the fixed cost?

Finding the number of servings from a

number 12 scoop size in a 12 gallon

container? The only thing I really

understood were FTE's, edible portion and

as purchased portion so the food service

was always a little difficult for me. So

certain things that I did as well

besides actually working in the field

and understanding why we do things in

dietetics the way that it's done and

studying for my exam simultaneously

while I was working, I had to learn to

relax! Because as I stated earlier I had,

I was just very nervous I was

nervous Nellie. Something that I did um

different relaxation techniques for

instance I would pray a lot and I would

pray often. I would pray right before I

study and I would pray after I studied and

I was like Lord Jesus please help me to

retain this information. I was hired as

someone that is R.D. eligible so if I

didn't pass my dietitian exam I was

going to be fired! Something else that I

did decide to do, the night before my exam I just

stopped saying because I said well if I

don't know it now, I'm not going to know

it. So when it was the day for me to take

my exam I actually had one of my family

member drive me to the site because I

mean the site was probably an hour and a

half away so that did give me some

time to review certain things that I

didn't know. So I actually got to my

destination about an hour early because

as I stated before in a previous video I

like to scope out locations especially

if I haven't been there before. I became

familiar with the location I saw the

amount of traffic that was flowing

through. During my exam I was a bit

shocked because my exam focused a lot on

clinical. Off the bat I kid you not, I

could've swore I was taking a pharmacy

exam. Now I don't remember how many

questions I actually got on the exam. My

dietetic internship director said

something to me; don't quote me on this,

like... like.. it was like 200, like 200

questions on the test I can't remember.

So the way how the test works you have

and don't quote me on this because I

mean I took my exam a while ago, about

200 questions if i'm not mistaken and my

internship director said the test will

shut off on you automatically as soon as

you get enough points to pass. With that

200 questions she was saying okay like

the test is automatically going to shut

off as soon as you get the proper amount

of points. So when I got to question like

180 I was like okay? I was like God why, why is

it my test shutting off, am am I

going to fail?? and 181 test is still

going ,182, 183 and I'm sweating and

then I pause and I

said a little prayer. So I got to question

188 if i'm not mistaken and my test

shut off: Congratulations you passed and

i was like all right. I'm a dietitian!

Because you guys know I had a lot

on the line. I had this job that I wanted

to keep at my local hospital and granted

I worked for three months so coming

right out of my internship I mean I

didn't get the time to sit down and just

delve myself into the information. So

there were six of us in my dietetic

internship class and one of the dietetic

interns took her test, she was the first

one, she took her test like three weeks

after the internship finished and I was

the second to last person to take my

test. And also got like a lot of

situational questions where two answers

could be right but, it uses it likes to

use you know what is the best answer.

So these are just a few tips, few

things that I did to pass my R.D. exam. For

other dietitians out there please

leave in the comments section below what

are some things that you did to pass

your R.D. exam? What are some tips that

you want to give future dietitians,

dietetic interns because now is that

season where you guys are about to take

your exam. As always remember to like as

well as subscribe. Thank you guys for

watching have a good day bye.

My name is Dr. Mitchell and I'm a foot & ankle surgeon at Advanced Foot & Ankle.

When I was an undergrad I shadowed several podiatrists and I got to experience what podiatry

was from a conservative and surgical standpoint.

And when I shadowed those podiatrists in the office what I got to see was instant gratification.

I saw their patients come in to the office and walk out a totally different person.

They'd walk with pain and walk out without any pain and feeling great and that's what

really drew me to podiatry.

The thing I enjoy most about my job is being able to see a patient who's in pain come in

to the office to be able to treat them and see them walk out of the office feeling much better.

That's probably my favorite part of the job.

The thing I like the most about Nashville is the southern hospitality.

Coming from Chicago I didn't know what to expect.

You hear about southern hospitality, but you don't really know what it is until you experience it.

And I tell you, people here really are hospitable and friendly and I really like that about Nashville

When people come to me for a second opinion, they've usually seen more than one other doctor.

They're frustrated, they haven't seen results and I find it extremely rewarding to take

those patients, be able to treat them and diagnose them accurately and make them better,

get them back to their lives.

Nazis in America The U S has not always been as welcoming to refugees as we think - Duration: 11:15.

Nazis in America The U.S. has not always been as welcoming to refugees as we think

President Donald Trumps executive order to sharply restrict immigration from seven

predominantly Muslim countries has been decried by many as reckless, punitive and even unconstitutional.

Nearly half the electorate, however, applaud the president for suspending immigration even

if it means turning back refugees, many of whom are innocent victims of the political

violence besetting the Middle East.

The Conversation

None of this is unprecedented.

American presidents have periodically curtailed the entry of individuals or groups in the

name of national security.

Such measures invariably have proven controversial, often unleashing a fiery public debate about

the relative merits of protecting the homeland at the cost of undermining our values.

As a historian who has studied how Central European Jewish refugees were denied entry

to the United States during World War II, I know that while America has often welcomed

immigrants to its shores, there have been moments in our past when our doors have slammed

shut on those most in need.

Nor has there been a shortage of animus to those already in the country.

Father Charles Coughlin, whose Sunday afternoon radio program boasted a nationwide audience

of 30 to 40 million during the 1930s, spewed invective about how the Kristallnacht was

justified by historic wrongs committed by Jews against Christians.

Isolationists, America Firsters and pacifists condemned American Jews for warmongering.

Nazis in America?

One such moment when the distrust of refugees reached a fever pitch occurred during the

spring of 1940, when a succession of lightning-quick German victories in Western Europe led Franklin

Roosevelt to raise the specter of Nazi infiltration into the Americas.

The swift capitulation of Western Europe was attributed to Nazi agents, disguised as journalists,

diplomats, tourists and refugees, in the months prior to the German invasion.

In his fireside chat of May 26, 1940, FDR implored the public to be vigilant of a Fifth

Column threat: internal traitors, who would undermine the nations ability to defend

itself.

Here Roosevelt was alluding to more than 250,000 German- and Italian-Americans, some of whom

were thought to be more sympathetic to their homelands than their adopted country.

Even though historians have offered correctives about the nature and extent of the Fifth Columns

role in the Nazi victories, the perception at the time among the Allied military establishment,

the press and the public on both sides of the Atlantic was that such furtive activities

were vital to the Reichs war effort.

Rumors and erroneous reports, some surreptitiously placed by British intelligence which sought

to sway American public opinion of the need to enter the war, raised alarm about Nazi

sabotage on the home front.

FDR warned Congress of Germans leapfrogging from North African bases to Brazil and then

sending troops up the isthmus through Central America to Mexico.

Isolationist sentiment fed xenophobia against imagined threats from radicals and foreigners.

An obedient American public took the threat seriously.

In just one day in May 1940, the FBI received more than 2,900 reports of suspected sabotage.

German advances persuaded Roosevelt and his advisers of the need to ensure greater control

over aliens.

By June 1940, Congress had passed the Smith Act, which required aliens to register and

be fingerprinted and gave the government the power to deport current or past members of

fascist and communist organizations.

After Pearl Harbor, more than 11,000 German-Americans and 120,000 Japanese-Americans were rounded

up and placed in internment camps for the duration of the war.

A curious logic

Roosevelt defended the need to watch refugees.

He invoked an alleged Nazi threat to shoot family members of German Jewish refugees unless

the latter consented to work for the Reich as spies.

If enemies were believed to be living among the general population, it is perhaps understandable

that refugees became such handy scapegoats.

Each time a refugee in the U.S. was rumored to be a spy, whether corroborated or not,

it lent credence to the restrictionist argument that excluding refugees was a matter of national

security.

Targets of discrimination in their homelands and in the United States, these stateless

exiles experienced a kind of double jeopardy, victimized by a curious logic that gained

greater resonance as it merged with Fifth Column paranoia.

In 1940, a State Department memorandum was sent to consular agents in Europe urging them

to reject or suspend any application for a visa about which there was any doubt.

From mid-1940 to mid-1941, only 4,000 refugees entered the United States, down from 40,000

in the previous 12 months.

The department then went further, refusing to grant visas to individuals who had relatives

residing in German-occupied territory.

The problem, of course, was that by the middle of 1940 much of Central and Western Europe

already was under Nazi control.

Many were trapped, unable to get out.

The new regulations had the desired effect.

Only 21,000 refugees were admitted from Axis-controlled nations for the wars duration, a paltry

10 percent of the mandated quotas.

If the new restrictive policies had not gone into effect and the quotas had been met, an

additional 190,000 persons might have made it to safety to the United States.

Some within the State Department spoke out on behalf of the refugees, but to no avail.

Robert Pell, the assistant chief of the Division of European Affairs, who manned the refugee

desk, penned a feisty internal memo urging aggressive action to spirit refugees

out of Europe.

From that point on, he was branded as an advocate for the exiles, and his position within the

department became increasingly untenable.

After Pell was reassigned, his successor, Charles Wagg, met a similar fate.

His position at the refugee desk was redefined, and he was subsequently let go in the winter

of 1941.

At first glance, the parallels between then and now are striking.

Just as in 1940, we live in a moment when many are distrustful of foreigners and feeling

economically insecure.

In 1938, the unemployment rate was a staggering 19 percent and 10 million Americans were still

unemployed.

In contrast, the current unemployment rate has dipped to 4.8 percent, but that has not

diminished the very real sense of economic dislocation that exists in our heartland.

In both cases, it was within the State Department that opposition surfaced.

This time more than a thousand foreign service officers have expressed their disagreement

in an internal dissent cable.

During the Trump administration, however, consent has not been confined to the Foreign

Service.

The acting attorney general was summarily fired for refusing to comply with the executive

order.

But we should be wary of facile comparisons.

As brutal as Islamic State is, Id argue it has never posed the existential threat

to our way of life that Hitlerism did.

Even though many wanted America to stay out of World War II, the country was not as polarized

then as it is now.

FDR, a popular two-term president about to win a historic third term later that fall,

had earned the trust of many Americans.

Public opposition to Trumps executive order is much greater than it ever was to FDRs

restrictions.

In fact, despite the looming humanitarian crisis in Europe in 1940, there was little

sentiment to relax the quota restrictions and take in the refugees.

Anti-Semitism, especially within the State Department, should not be discounted as well

as a contributing factor.

War and economic uncertainty engender fear and stoke xenophobia.

Roosevelt played upon those fears to help prepare the public for Americas entry in

World War II.

In contrast, Trump has served as an echo chamber for the anxieties of his political base during

the campaign and Id contend now acts irresponsibly to fulfill his promises.

The diplomatic consequences of this executive order are difficult to foresee.

Sadly, history has provided ample evidence of the human costs.

Prisoners Built Computers Behind Bars To Commit Cyber Crimes - Duration: 1:49.

Hey everyone, for Complex News, I'm Justin Block.

When you imagine what a typical hacker may look like, perhaps shady-looking guys in hoods

come to mind.

Forget that, because two Ohio inmates are getting props for building their own computers

and hacking into the prison's network—while still behind bars.

In July 2015, Adam Johnston and Scott Spriggs were prisoners at Ohio's Marion Correctional

Institution.

It's a low-security prison that uses inmate labor to recycle old computer parts.

According to a 50-page Ohio Inspector General report, Johnston and Spriggs managed to sneak

away enough parts to build not one, but two fully functioning computers.

The report says the computers were hidden on a plywood board in a ceiling above a closet.

Clever.

More incredibly, though, the pair ran ethernet cables through the ceiling, connecting their

computers to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's network.

Now plugged into the system, Johnston and Spriggs ran wild online.

They downloaded articles on homemade drugs, explosives, and fake tax returns.

They even managed to steal the identity of another inmate and use his information to

apply for credit cards.

Investigators also found hacking software on the homemade computers to wreak havoc on

the prison.

They were able to access disciplinary records, sentencing data, and inmate locations.

Using that info, they issued passes for inmates to gain unauthorized access to different parts

of the prison.

Blessed with an Internet connection, Johnston and Spriggs did normal Internet things too,

like download porn, music, and movies.

You know, just some basic online browsing.

They got caught, though.

One day, the network notified staff that a computer on the network had exceeded its daily

usage threshold.

Apparently, there's no unlimited data in prison.

2018 Subaru Crosstrek Review: First Impressions - Duration: 1:52.

Subaru's completely redesigned the

crosstrack remains a choice for anybody

who wants something small it can do a

little off roading now if this looks

familiar it's because the cross track is

based on the impress of your small car

itself also just redesigned some big

differences for the crosstrek here

though include a lot of cladding around

the bottom as you may have seen on the

previous generation the cross leg is

actually kind of even more so now it

creeps up around the fog light portals

an area that was body coloured on the

previous generation of the cross track

it's all scratch resistant and there's

some function to the form as well since

cross Rex it's three point six inches

higher than the regular impreza

hatchback now has eight point seven

inches of ground clearance that's more

than some SUVs now changes between the

Impreza and across track are relatively

fewer on the inside but you can get

certain things like matching stitching

here between the seats and what's on the

steering wheel there's a six-speed

manual or a continuously variable

automatic transmission available and

automatic transmission equipped cars

have an ex mode that basically optimizes

the drivetrain settings for offroad use

is also a hill descent control that kind

of maintains your speed going down hill

but the overwhelming sensation here is

that the cross rec remains fairly true

to the Impreza which is probably a good

thing because the previous generation

cross track 1 cars coms most recent sub

compact SUV comparison in large part

because it was based on a compact

instead of a subcompact car so it's

roomier easier to see out it just more

practical than just about anything else

you can get in the segment at first

glance here at the Auto Show I got to

say the new crosstrek seems to continue

to pull all of that off thanks for
