Attorney general Jeff Sessions told Fox News on Tuesday of this past week that, "Yes, Congress

is absolutely going to give Donald Trump the money that he needs for his border wall between

the US and Mexico."

Specifically, Sessions was talking about the fact that this is an issue that Donald Trump

is going to continue pushing and that, "Yes, I believe Congress will eventually knuckle

under and give him the money that he's asking for."

Here's the thing.

Jeff Sessions is kind of using code talk.

"Don't worry.

Congress is going to give him the money," as if Congress has some kind of bank vault

that they all contribute to sitting there.

Then when Donald Trump comes asking, they'll put in the code, open the door, and hand him

the cash, and he'll walk out the door.

That's not exactly how it works.

You see, the money that Congress has to play with to do whatever they want to with our

country is taxpayer money.

When Jeff Sessions says that Congress is going to be giving Trump the money for his wall,

what he means is that me, and you, and everybody else that pays taxes in this country is going

to be funding the border wall.

Now, this is a sentiment that has been shared with many Republicans over the last few months,

including Donald Trump himself.

We've been told the taxpayers are going to be on the hook for this wall.

We know that just a few dozen miles of this wall cost over a billion dollars.

We're talking about, what is it?

1,700 miles of wall that needs to be created.

We're talking about tens upon tens, maybe even a hundred billion dollars for this wall

that, quite frankly, nobody wants.

People in the United States do not want to pay for this border wall.

They may want more secure borders, which would actually mean hiring more immigration officials,

have stronger checkpoints, things like that.

Nothing necessarily wrong with that as long as it's an efficient system that still allows

people to come and go.

Illegal immigration, people sneaking over the border to take low paying jobs that nobody

else in this country wants, that's not a problem.

That's really not.

I know we need people to do it legally.

I understand that.

What you need to do, instead of focusing on building a wall, how about you go after the

businesses and corporation that hire the illegal workers?

Because if they weren't hiring these people, they wouldn't be coming over here.

They'd know there was nothing here for them if they came over illegally.

You have to punish the real people, here.

It's not the people trying to find a better life for themselves.

It's the people trying to exploit cheap labor.

That is the immigration crisis in the United States that no one is talking about.

We're not talking about the fact that it's the corporations that hire these seasonal

workers, pay them pennies on the dollar, and then send them back across the border without

paperwork.

Pay them in cash sometimes.

Those are the criminals, not the people who try to come over here, make a few extra dollars

so they can take care of their family.

They're doing what they have to to survive.

Corporations are doing what they have to do to increase their profit margins.

Jeff Sessions sure as hell's not going to talk about it.

Donald Trump's not.

To be honest, no Republicans will talk about this.

Instead, we're going to get idiots, like Jeff Sessions, coming out in the media saying,

"Congress, those noble souls down there in the halls of Congress, they're going to be

the ones paying for this border wall to keep everybody safe."

No.

If this wall gets built, it's coming out of our pockets, and those are pockets that we

don't want robbed, not for this project.

If it was something like debt-free college education, universal healthcare, I'm sure

people in the United States wouldn't mind ponying up a few more dollars each year to

pay for those projects.

I think there's very few people who are willing to fork over any money to pay for Donald Trump's

disaster of a wall no matter how Jeff Sessions decides to code his language.

When he says, "Congress is going to pay for something," trust me, that means taxpayers

are footing

the bill.

The Truth About Norovirus - Duration: 10:02.

Hey cruisers, if you've been on a cruise or if you watch the news, you've likely

heard of Norovirus.

There are lots of myths surrounding this illness, often tied to cruising, so we went straight

to cdc.gov to separate fact from fiction.

Be warned, this is not a pretty topic, and we're going to get pretty graphic with our

descriptions, so we recommend you watch this when you're prepared to be a little grossed

out.

Well, maybe just not right before lunch.

Alright, what is norovirus?

Norovirus, formerly called Norwalk virus, is a very contagious gastrointestinal illness.

You can get norovirus from an infected person, from contaminated food or water, or by touching

contaminated surfaces.

The virus causes your stomach or intestines, or both, to get inflamed with acute gastroenteritis.

This leads you to have stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhea and to vomit, usually for a few

days.

While it's commonly thought to be a cruise ship illness, Norovirus is actually the second

most reported illness in the world, the common cold being the first.

The CDC reports about 20 million cases per year.

Noro was actually named for a outbreak that occurred on land in Norwalk, Ohio, over 30

years ago, giving it the original name Norwalk virus.

So, how would you come in contact with this nasty illness?

Here's where it gets unpleasant.

You can become infected with norovirus by accidentally getting stool or vomit from infected

people in your mouth.

This usually happens by eating food or drinking liquids that are contaminated with norovirus,

touching surfaces or objects contaminated the virus then putting your fingers in your

mouth, or, having contact with someone who is infected with norovirus (for example, caring

for or sharing food with someone with the virus).

Unfortunately, it can also be transmitted through the air, so it's super important

to know how to take precautions.

We'll get to that later.

Norovirus can spread quickly in closed places like daycare centers, nursing homes, schools,

and cruise ships.

Most norovirus outbreaks happen from November to April in the United States, but they can

occur year round.

So, back to that fact vs fiction part.

It's important to know what norovirus is NOT.

Norovirus is not the same as the flu.

According to webMD, while its sometimes referred to as stomach flu, flu is an infection of

the respiratory system.

Noroviruses are often called the winter vomiting bug, and that's likely a more accurate description.

Norovirus is also not isolated to, or even most prevalent on cruise ships.

But we hear about it in the news ALL the time as a cruise related affliction.

Why is that?

Well, according to the CDC, noroviruses are associated with cruise ships for several reasons:

Health officials track illness on cruise ships, so outbreaks are reported more quickly on

a cruise ship than on land.

Cozy living quarters may increase the amount of group contact on ships as well, and we

all know that germs spread more quickly in tight quarters.

And, people joining the ship may bring the virus to other passengers and crew.

People don't want to miss the vacation they've worked hard to pay for, so it's not uncommon

for infected passengers to sneak past the screening process during boarding.

With that said, it is a fact that over 90% of diarrheal disease outbreaks on cruise ships

are caused by norovirus which can be especially challenging to control on cruise ships because

of the close living quarters, shared dining areas, and rapid turnover of passengers.

Also, When the ship docks, norovirus can be brought on board in contaminated food or water

or by passengers who were infected while ashore.

Repeated outbreaks on consecutive cruises may also result from infected crew or environmental

contamination.

This is because norovirus can persist on surfaces and is resistant to many common disinfectants.

But, it's important to know that Norovirus is not an illness unique to cruise ships,

but rather an illness commonly seen in many settings throughout the world.

The CDC reports that Health care facilities, including nursing homes and hospitals, are

the most commonly reported settings for norovirus outbreaks in the United States and other industrialized

countries.

The reality is, over half of all norovirus outbreaks reported in the United States occur

in long-term care facilities.

It's also common at Restaurants and Catered Events, schools, child care centers, colleges,

prisons, and military encampments.

Norovirus outbreaks on university campuses have led to entire campus closures.

It was also the most common cause of gastroenteritis in U.S. Marines during Operation Iraqi Freedom

and a common cause of outbreaks among British troops.

Bottom line here folks: According to a spokesman at the CDC, "the reason you hear about Norovirus

on cruise ships is because they are required to report gastrointestinal illness.

Nowhere else in the public health system of the United States is Norovirus a reportable

illness.

Norovirus is not a 'cruise ship' illness, but an illness commonly seen in many settings

throughout the United States.

But, if you're watching this, you probably want to know how it could affect your cruise

vacation and what to do to prevent it.

The CDC reports that the best way to prevent it is to Wash your hands often!

Hand washing, preferably in your own cabin, with good old fashioned soap and hot water,

is the best way to prevent it.

You should wash your hands often, before eating, drinking, and smoking, and after touching

your face, going to the bathroom, or whenever your hands are dirty.

Alcohol-based hand sanitizers can be used in addition to hand washing, but, they should

not be used as a substitute for washing with soap and water.

It's also a good idea to use your own restroom in your stateroom on a ship, whenever possible,

especially if you hear there's an outbreak on board.

That just makes good sense.

And, there's more you can do.

Leave the area if you see someone get sick or vomiting, and Report it to cruise staff.

You could get sick if you ingest germs that travel through the air.

What if you think you may be sick before or during your cruise?

Be considerate of other people's health.

If you're sick before taking a cruise, call the cruise line to find out if there are alternative

cruising options.

If you're sick during a cruise, report your illness to the crew and stay in your room

until your symptoms are gone.

What happens if you contract norovirus on a cruise?

Get plenty of rest, and drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

Our subscriber, Zachary shared his personal story with us, and from what we hear, this

is pretty common protocol.

Zachary's brother contracted the virus on a cruise, and since they were sharing a cabin,

they were BOTH quarantined to their stateroom for a period of time to prevent spreading

the virus.

From what we've been told, the cruise line will bring you a special room service menu

of appropriate foods and beverages like soups, Gatorade, and things your doctor back home

would prescribe in similar circumstances until you're better.

So, what does the cruise line do in the event of an outbreak?

If the outbreak is serious, the cruise line will notify every passenger, in writing, to

take extra precautions- extra hand washing, tightened serving protocols in the dining

areas, things like that.

CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program helps the cruise industry to control and prevent the

spread of gastrointestinal illnesses aboard cruise ships and assists them in monitoring

ships if they have an outbreak.

In the event of an outbreak, the crew will scrub public areas from stem to stern with

substances that kill the virus, and they are THOROUGH.

Every member of the staff and crew is well trained in these protocols for cleaning and

service.

Our subscriber Veronique used to work onboard, and reported that every single surface was

cleaned with bleach, even down to taking apart and soaking legos.

Not fun.

Our subscriber Boat Lover was onboard for an outbreak, and said everything changed on

board.

Salt and pepper were taken off tables, crew poured drinks at the buffet, and staff were

cleaning everywhere.

Infected passengers luggage was removed from the ship wrapped in plastic wrap, and kept

separately.

So, is it safe to go on a cruise?

We think so.

David Forney, chief of the CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program, which oversees health and sanitation

aboard ships that visit U.S. ports, says "it is perfectly safe to go on cruise ships.

The standard by which (cruise lines) are held for sanitation is the highest in the world."

which is a lot more aggressive looking

than this one this one is a little more

comical looking this one is very

aggressive looking and then all guys if

lot of awesome ah Godzilla transforming

eggs they actually transfer I you stop

motion video of you using dragon frame

software so I have them transform in

real time real cool and if there is some

Chromatic approach - 5 Jazz guitar Licks with chromatic notes - Duration: 11:42.

- Using chromaticism has been a part

of the jazz tradition since bebop.

For many people a big part of the sound of a jazz solo,

especially a bop melody,

is the use of the chromatic passing notes.

In this video I'm gonna go over five different

examples of chromatic enclosures.

I'm also gonna go over some examples

that are gonna show you how easy it is,

that if you know all your basic arpeggios,

you can use these chromatic enclosures to

get your lines to sound a lot more jazzy.

All the examples that I'm gonna go over in this video

are in the key of C,

so they're just a II V I in the key of C.

I'm gonna use the enclosures that I'm talking about

and demonstrating in the beginning of the lesson.

Then I'm going to use some fairly basic arpeggios

for each of the chords.

The first one is actually a personal favorite

that I use really a lot.

And that's this one.

Here I'm starting a half step below so really

with the chromatically note below it.

Then I'm skipping up

to a whole step above,

going down chromatically towards it,

then down under again and then I resolve on the three.

The second one sounds like this.

So the idea here is that

we start a whole step below

and then we move up towards the G

but then instead of going to the G

we go up a whole step above.

So up to the A

and then chromatically down.

The third example sounds like this.

Here I'm slow skipping around first

so we are starting fairly far away.

I'm starting a whole step above,

going a whole step under,

and then I'm moving up chromatically.

Then the other side chromatically also.

Then resolving.

The next one sounds like this.

This is almost reverse of what we just did.

I'm starting a whole step below.

Then skipping up to a whole step above.

Then I'm going down chromatically.

Then under,

and then resolving.

Then we have the last one.

Here I'm starting a whole step above.

Then moving down to a whole step below.

Then chromatically up to resolve.

The way you're gonna use this in a line

is that you're gonna take

a core tone that you decided in advance.

This is the note I want to target.

Then you put the enclosure in front of it.

This means that you have a way of either suspending`

the sound of the chord.

You're gonna be starting in the beginning of the bar

with the enclosure and then the sound of the chord

won't really appear until you're on beat three.

Or you're using it at the end of the bar

and then you're targeting a core tone in the next chord.

Both work really well because the idea with

the chromatic enclosure is that they're really

driving towards the note that they're resolving to.

In this first example,

I'm using the first enclosure that I went over.

I'm simply just starting with it.

We're essentially delaying the sound of the D minor

onto the third beat.

Because that's where we have the F

which is the note that we're targeting.

That's the enclosure

then it resolves to the F.

Then I'm skipping down from the F to the

fifth to A.

Then back up.

Then on the G7 I'm again using a chromatic enclosure.

It's not one that I actually talked about in this lesson

but it's also a very common one.

I'm starting on the fourth here.

Then I'm using three notes to get to the third.

I'm delaying the sound of the G7 until the two round.

Then I'm running down

what is essentially a G7 flat nine arpeggio.

Then resolving to the third of C.

Then over an E minor pentatonic scale.

In this line I'm starting off with a very simple

D minor pattern which is just a one, two, three, five.

So D, E, F, A.

Then I'm using the chromatic enclosure so the second one

to target the fifth of G7.

That means that in the D minor line

I'm already deciding I want to hit the D

on the one in the G7.

I'm doing that with

this enclosure.

Then from there I go to the D of course, resolve there.

Then a few chord notes,

up to the flat nine.

Then I'm just continuing up the diminished arpeggio.

Then resolving that on four and to the third of C,

which is E.

Then as a show of tack,

I'm just going chromatically down from D to B

which is from the nine to the seventh on the C major.

In this example,

I'm starting off with the enclosure

and we're again targeting the third of D minor

because that's a very nice clear note to target.

I'm starting a whole step above,

a whole step below.

Then chromatically up

and then the chromatically leading note above.

Then down to the third.

Then from here it's just a scale run.

Then I'm again using a chromatic enclosure to delay

the fifth of G.

I'm doing that with using the first one that I went over

in the first example.

Once I'm here I'm just running down the diminished arpeggio.

G7 flat nine will have a B diminished arpeggio

and that's this arpeggio inversion.

Then resolving that to the fifth of C

and then just adding these tacks to end on the nine.

In this example I'm using another idea

that's also very common for a more bop lines.

That is I'm using a leading note before an arpeggio.

I start on the one and

and then I want to play a D minor seven arpeggio,

but I start with a C sharp to lead into the D.

Then I'm playing the biggest part of the arpeggio

as an eight note triplet.

That means that

that's really sort of bringing out the seventh

here on the third beat.

From here I start the chromatic enclosure.

The idea here is of course just to

make an enclosure that's gonna target the fifth of G7.

Then that's the one I'm using

so whole step below,

whole step above,

half step above and then half step below,

and then resolving.

Then once I'm on G7

just a small scale run.

Then another enclosure.

This one I have actually laid out differently.

It's still just using first coming from below,

and then from above,

and then resolves to G, the fifth of C major.

And then this small tail through to get to the E.

Something I didn't mention before but of course

I've written out all the enclosures

as just played on one string,

but most of the time when you're using them

you can also experiment with using

several strings like I'm doing here.

It's maybe a little bit easier to get into your lines.

Also it sometimes will allow you to use some hammer-on

pull-off ideas that will make the phrasing better.

Maybe that's something I can return to in another lesson.

But I think it's quite important to also check out

not only the way I'm playing it in the first example

but also look for two string solutions

for playing these enclosures.

In this final example,

I'm again targeting the third of D minor seven.

I'm starting a whole step above,

going down chromatically.

Then a whole step below,

moving up and then resolving.

Then really to drive home this D minor sound

I'm just playing the triad.

That leads us really nicely into the D seven flat nine

with this arpeggio.

Then I'm using the D here as the first note

in a chromatic enclosure of the E on C major.

Then I'm tacking the phrase with

this short pentatonic fragment.

That was five examples of some chromatic enclosures

and also some examples of how I might use them in a line.

What you can probably tell from these examples

is that I'm really trying to keep the lines really clear

in the sense that I'm targeting the basic core tones,

the third and the fifth and sometimes the root.

The reason why I'm doing that is just to keep it clear

and because then you can probably easily hear

what is going on.

Of course you can also start to target nines and flat nines

and alterations and extensions but that's just for now.

It may be a little bit unclear to work with

so I thought it was better just to keep it

sort of lower in the chord.

Europa Water Vapor Plumes - More Hubble Evidence - Duration: 2:16.

Hubble has found even more evidence of water vapor plumes

on the ocean world Europa. Last September we announced that the

Hubble Space Telescope had taken multiple images of what could be

water vapor plumes on Jupiter's moon, Europa - an icy world

that's thought to have a subsurface global ocean of

water. That same team of astronomers has now taken

additional ultraviolet images of probable plumes on this icy

moon. While these plumes seem intermittent, they appear to

have repeated in the same location. Pieces of the puzzle

of what's going on with Europa are continuing to come together.

When the Galileo spacecraft was orbiting Jupiter in the late 90s

and early 2000s, it gathered data to build a thermal map of

Europa, and it appears the water vapor plumes Hubble is observing

correspond with a relatively warm region on Europa's southern

surface about 200 miles across. This thermal anomaly the Galileo

spacecraft observed suggested geologic activity was happening

in this location, a conclusion now further supported by

Hubble's recent observations of water vapor plumes. This

phenomenon may be similar to what the Cassini spacecraft has

seen at Saturn's moon Enceladus, where there are also water vapor

plumes associated with warm regions on the moon's surface.

The warm spot on Europa has a couple possible explanations.

Perhaps this location is warmed by liquid water a mile under the

surface pushing up through cracks in the ice. Or perhaps

the fine mist that's falling from the water vapor plume

changes the structure of the surface ice grains, allowing

them to retain heat longer than the surrounding landscape. Now

that Hubble has shown Europa probably has water vapor plumes

associated with warm spots on its surface, this information

will be used for planning NASA's upcoming Europa Clipper mission.

Europa Clipper will be able to take up-close observations of

these probable plumes Hubble identified, and will be equipped

with instruments that can detect any additional warm spots and

water vapor plumes. This will provide insight into Europa's

chemistry, geology, and potential conditions for

harboring alien life.

to the entrance of Castelo Branco

I'm at the Youth Hostel right now,

The room has cost me € 10.45,

I got it for today and tomorrow

I have a folding tupper and one of the tricks to save money is to buy cans of food and bread for few euros

The good or the bad is that we are the receptionist and I alone
