U.S. President Donald Trump has once again reiterated his will to take care of the North

Korea problem.

Speaking at the White House on Thursday,... Trump added that China has been working very

hard and praised President Xi Jinping as a terrific person who will try hard in dealing

with the North.

In a tweet sent earlier on Thursday,...

President Trump said he had great confidence in China,... but again stressed that,... if

Beijing is unable to do so,... the U.S. and its allies will take care of the problem.

Trump's latest comments are just the latest in a stream of remarks calling for China to

exercise its influence to stop North Korea conducting further nuclear or missile tests.

A preacher ended his message by inviting his auditors to give their life to Jesus,

to be relieved of the weight of their sins.

- The weight of sins?

Exclaimed a young man.

I am not really a sinner.

- Tell me, answered the servant of God,

If we put 50 kilos on the chest of a dead body, would he feel it?

- Of course not, because he is dead.

Dear friends, if you do not feel the weight of your sins, you should have substantial grounds to be worried;

you are spiritually dead!

Korea is planning to push for the dual naming of the body of water separating the Korean

peninsula and Japan.

At this month's International Hydrographic Organization meeting in Monaco, Korea will

propose that the body of water be referred to as both the East Sea and the Sea of Japan.

The global chart titled "Names and Limits of Oceans and Seas," also known as S-23, currently

uses the name "Sea of Japan."

Japan gave it that name in the 1920s when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule.

The IHO recommends that if multiple countries share a common area that they can't agree

on, their desired names should be accepted.

North Korea's nuclear test site "primed and ready" - Duration: 1:43.

A lot of signs are pointing to North Korea conducting its sixth nuclear test in the next

24 to 36 hours.

Tensions are continuing to mount in the region, following repeated warnings from the Trump

administration of possible military action in response to Pyongyang's provocations.

According to 38 North, a U.S-based North Korea watchdog, Pyongyang has reportedly completed

preparations to conduct another nuclear test.

Satellite imagery from the country's Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, showed a hive of activity

that pointed to signs of an imminent test, according to the group's analysts.

Speculation has been growing that North Korea could conduct a ballistic missile launch or

its sixth nuclear test, to mark Saturday's 105th anniversary of the birth of its founding

leader Kim Il-sung.

The Voice of America reported on Thursday that North Korea had placed a nuclear device

inside a tunnel, which could be detonated on Saturday morning local time, quoting a

U.S. government official and other sources.

Many experts agree that the most likely U.S. response to another North Korean provocation

would involve tougher economic sanctions.

However, many also believe that possible military options were still difficult to rule out at

the current time.

Others have also pointed out that although the chances of a U.S. pre-emptive strike remains

low, even a small miscalculated response from Pyongyang could send events spiraling out

of control.

The Trump administration has been forceful in its warnings to North Korea, with the President's

latest tweet on Thursday saying North Korea is "a problem" that will be dealt with.

Trump has been flexing his military muscle by carrying out strikes in Syria and Afghanistan,

while deploying the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson to the Korean peninsula in a show of

force against Kim Jong-un.

Presidential candidates lay out policy pledges to enhance Korea's agricultural industry - Duration: 2:17.

There's no time to waste for the presidential hopefuls as they look to build public support

ahead of the start of the official campaigning period.

All five of them attended a special event Thursday that was hosted by the Korean Advanced

Farmers Federation.

They laid out their pledges to make life a little easier for those in the agriculture

sector.

Kim Hyun-bin reports.

To win over the hearts of the nation's 600-thousand farmers.

Agricultural policies often make headlines in an advanced economy with an age-old agrarian

tradition.

And, the top five frontrunners in the 2017 race for the top office went out to lay out

their policy pledges to enhance the nation's struggling agricultural industry facing greater

competition from foreign imports.

The Democratic Party of Korea's candidate Moon Jae-in, currently leading most poll numbers

albeit in a neck-and-neck race with his People's Party rival Ahn Cheol-soo... underscored the

drastic decrease in agricultural budget in the last two decades.

Government budget earmarked for the industry accounted for 16 percent of the total annual

budget in 1995...

22 years later, that figure is smaller than 4 percent.

"I will revise the nation's agricultural budget.

Rice prices will be raised based on inflation rate and I'll make sure cash is circulated

in the farming sector and the livelihoods of farmers are improved."

People's Party candidate Ahn Cheol-soo stressed the growing importance of food security as

global population is due to rise to nine billion by 2050 from seven billion today.

"I will open a new era for agricultural policy by ensuring food sovereignty.

I pledge to raise the degree of rice self-sufficiency and stabilize supply and demand.

There will be more government subsidies."

The conservative Liberty Korea Party's Hong Joon-pyo, Bareun Party's Yoo Seong-min and

progressive Justice Party's Sim Sang-jung also had their own blueprints to boost Korea's

agricultural industry.

"How to revamp Korea's agricultural sector... with growing vulnerability as Asia's fourth-largest

economy increasingly brings down trade barriers with the rest of the world... is another factor

that voters will keep a close eye on when they head to the polls on May 9th.

Syria chemical attack "100% fabrication": Assad - Duration: 0:40.

Syria's President Bashar-al Assad says the suspected chemical attack by his forces was

"one hundred percent" false.

In an interview with AFP, Assad said he had made no order to carry out last week's attack

which left 82 people dead.

He added that he had given up his country's chemical arsenal four years ago and accused

the West of creating an excuse to carry out missile strikes on his government's Shayrat

airbase.

He also told the news agency that he would allow an "impartial" probe involving what

he called unbiased countries so the issue will not be politicized.
