Walk-off web gems, gators off the tee & spring cleaning - Duration: 2:29.

Baseball is back and Chicago Cubs fan Luke Donald is feeling it.

The Englishman with a walk-off birdie to take a share of the lead!

Web gems galore!

Between Luke Donald and Graham DeLaet both going low again Friday, we also had more gators

& walk-offs in round 2 of the RBC Heritage.

Marc Leisham was just minding his own business and hitting his tee shot on 6, when, woah,

wait, that gator was minding his own business too.

And here is how you get away from those gators quickly.

Adam Hadwin with a walk-off chip-in for eagle!

A few holes before, Hadwin decided it was time for a little spring cleaning this Easter

weekend.

Annc: Adam Hadwin, first in one-putts.

Mr. 59 with the 56 footer.

Annc: Look at this! Sensational putt from Adam Hadwin.

Having a good Friday Adam?

Graham DeLaet, sure was.

He also shot a 67, in the morning.

Both him and co-leader Donald have carded rounds of 65 & 67 respectively.

The two have combined for 19 birdies, 2 eagles & just 3 bogeys in the first two days here

at Harbor Town.

DeLaet leads the field in strokes gained: approach to the green, but it also helps when

you follow through and make putts like this for birdie.

Or if you make a 41 footer for birdie to move inside the cutline.

Annc: Ohh you knew it! You knew that... Right on cue though.

Did you know that Harbor Town has the beef?

Now you do.

Check out Andrew "Beef" Johnston's dialed in approach on 16.

Meanwhile, Branden Grace had tricks up his sleeve.

Nearly hitting the ball backward to orchestrate this gorgeous chip on the 6th.

Annc: How about that roll!

Annc: That's it. Like I said, it's an easy shot.

Annc: But you didn't think he was going to do tricks with it.

The cutline was set at 1-under in Hilton Head Friday.

Keep up with the RBC Heritage on the PGA TOUR social media platforms this weekend and I'll

see you Saturday night for The Takeaway.

Stamppot no microondas com a Nienke - Legendado - Duration: 12:03.

Hey guys, Micro Sobrevivência once again

A international Micro Sobrevivência

Olá!!!

-Hi, how are you? -Bem, bom (Fine, okay)

What are you thinking about Brazil?

É demais, vocês têm prédios muito altos.

Os prédios são enormes aqui, na Holanda não tem isso.

Lá só temos prédios pequenos, isso é demais. Foi a primeira coisa que vi aqui.

-Sério? -Sim.

-What do you think about Brazilian food?

É demais. A comida é diferente, não é tão doce.

Tudo parece tão doce, brilha e parece ser muito doce, mas na verdade não é.

E acho muito diferente da comida da Holanda.

Have you ever ate anything done only in the microwave?

Nunca! Às vezes esquentamos alguma coisa, mas nunca fazemos algo no microondas.

Nunca fazemos isso na Holanda.

-Para esquentar água, leite? -Não, na verdade usamos aquecedores de água.

Today we're gonna make a tipical food from Netherlands: Stampot.

It is like a purée

Have you seen Stampot here in Brazil?

Não, porque tudo é misturado. -It's the first time.

Vi algo parecido, mas era diferente, a cor era diferente.

-Do you cook? -Não, é o meu pai quem cozinha.

-Nunca? -Não, eu sei fazer macarrão... ovos fritos.

I got two potatos

To them get cooked on the microwave

-Potatos got water inside them. -Sério?

I'm gonna make some openings, 'cause the microwave will heat the water.

Then the potatos will cook from the inside to the outside.

Vocé é especialista em microondas?

-O canal fará cinco anos. -Sério? Isso é demais.

-Cinco anos? -Sim, cinco anos.

After that, it will cook for about 8 minutes on the microwave.

8 minutes, in the high power.

Estou curiosa, vai ser bom. Tô muito curiosa.

Não consigo imaginar isso sendo feito no microondas.

While we're waiting, let's make a drink

A brazilian drink to...

Isso. O primeiro está correto.

É alcoólico?

-Sim... -Está cedo!

Não sei se o meu estômago... Tá, eu vou experimentar.

Mas não vou beber tudo.

-Um ou dois limões, três não. -Certo.

You cut of the tip of the lemons

because if not, it'll be bitter

You cut it in rolls

-And I'll put in the cup. -Todas?

-Sim. -Certo.

Also...

Two spoons of sugar.

Aí meu Deus.

-Tem de ser doce? -Sim.

-Estou curiosa. -If you want it sweeter, more sugar.

Now I have to smash it, to get the juice with the sugar

O nome disse em holandês é... (Nienke pronuncia o ato de espremer)

-Que tipo de álcool é esse? -Cachaça.

É um tipo de álcool chamado cachaça, fala "cachaça".

Parece tequila, é tequila?

Ah, eu odeio tequila!

-Sério? -Sim.

-Por que? -Bom, vou experimentar.

Na Holanda bebemos com limão e sal.

Colocamos sal na mão e lambemos, e aí bebemos e mordemos o limão.

É assim que fazemos na Holanda.

(The interpreter is translating to Filipe what Nienke just said)

I don't do it. I drink it pure.

(The interpreter is translating now to Nienke)

-Sério?

Não consigo... Eu e meus amigos sempre ficamos "devemos beber tequila?"

"Tem certeza?"

-Mais açúcar? -Sim.

Estou curiosa.

-Isso é tequila? -Sim, é tequila.

É exatamente a mesma coisa.

Can I taste it to check if it's good for you?

Claro.

For me it's good.

Aí meu Deus.

Vou beber bem pouco.

É bom!

É muito bom!

-Vai beber mais?

É muito... você precisa experimentar.

É muito bom.

É bem doce.

Tenho algo na garganta.

-Mas você gostou? -Eu gostei.

-I'll live it here. -É muito doce.

I'll live it here so you can drink it you want to

Bom, são 11h30, não sei se beberei mais.

Meu Deus, tô muito curiosa.

I'm gonna see if it's cooked.

I have snags, you say it could be sausage.

Sim, pode.

-Bacon. -Não gosto de bacon.

Você não gosta de bacon, não gosta de tequila...

Qual o seu problema?

-Gosta de pizza? -Sim, eu amo pizza.

Queijo.

What's your favorite food? Of all.

-De todos? -Sim.

-Brigadeiro (interperter). -Sim, ou pão de queijo.

Of every kind of food, from Brazil, from Netherlands...

Bom... acho que lasanha.

While we're making the purée, the bacon and the cheese will heat.

Por três minutos.

How is being to be here in Brazil, for the first time, with your fans?

Está sendo demais.

Tão fofo. Quero saber como será o gosto.

Me too.

Você está? Nunca fez algo assim antes?

I made it before to taste it. For lunch.

Salt.

Como se diz? "Sal"?

Diz queijo (cheese).

Batatas, queijo, bacon.

-Is that all the fat that bacon has? -Yes.

I'm saving your lifes.

It would go to your hearts.

Alface.

-Acho que vai ficar bom. -Você está fazendo certo.

-Do you like pepper?

Pimenta? Não usamos pimenta.

Sim, em alguns lugares colocam pimenta.

Às vezes.

Estou curiosa. Espero que eu goste. Porque nunca fazemos algo no microondas.

What a responsibility.

Você provou que é possível.

-Está bonito. -Acha que está bonito?

-Bom, estou com fome.

Você sempre está com fome.

Coloca do lado.

-Está pronto. -Foi bem rápido.

Achei que fosse demorar uma meia hora.

I was nervous to make it fast to you.

Estava nervosa? Ah, não. Foi rápido.

If it's needed, you can put more salt.

-Está nervoso? -Mais ou menos.

-Você conseguiu! -Jura?

Você conseguiu.

Esse é o meu pai.

Gosto com a salsicha.

Do you think it need more salt or something?

-Está bem Holandês. -Sério?

Vem experimentar.

Está muito bom. Nós amamos.

Se meu pai continua comendo é porque está bom.

Está bem Holandês. Fantástico.

E meu pai não para de comer. Pare.

No, you can eat it.

Ela tem que experimentar.

Ela precisa experimentar, pode pegar.

Divirta-se.

Ele adorou. Isso quase nunca acontece.

Ele ama comida holandesa.

So if you make Stampot send us a picture.

Putin Reveals Evidence of Impending 'False Flag Chemical Attack - politics - Duration: 2:39.

Putin Reveals Evidence of Impending 'False Flag Chemical Attack in Syria'

In a stunning statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that Russia has

evidence that not only was the recent chemical weapons incident in Idlib a false flag attack,

but that another similar incident is currently being planned.

We have reports from multiple sources that false flags like this one and I cannot

call it otherwise are being prepared in other parts of Syria, including the southern

suburbs of Damascus.

They plan to plant some chemical there and accuse the Syrian government of an attack,

he said at a joint press conference in Moscow with Italian President Sergio Mattarella.

President Mattarella and I discussed it, and I told him that this reminds me strongly

of the events in 2003, when the US representatives demonstrated at the UN Security Council session

the presumed chemical weapons found in Iraq.

The military campaign was subsequently launched in Iraq and it ended with the devastation

of the country, the growth of the terrorist threat and the appearance of Islamic State

[IS, formerly ISIS] on the world stage, he added.

A separate statement was released from the Russian General Staff which stated that terrorists

were transporting toxic agents into several locations in Syria.

While the incident that took place in Idlib has not been fully investigated yet, it is

clear that the Syrian military did not gas civilians in Khan Sheikhoun.

Overwhelming evidence suggests that it was the terrorists who either gassed or, at the

very least, possessed chemical weapons.

While the possibility of a false flag chemical attack in Syria is not surprising to those

who have been following the crisis for some time (it has happened numerous times throughout

the crisis), the fact that the President of Russia would publicly state as much in front

of the world, while claiming that another attack was being planned demonstrates the

urgency of the statement.

Such an attack must be imminent if Putin himself would utter the words suggesting that a false

flag was being planned in Syria.

The world has entered very dangerous territory.

We hope, for the sake of everyone, the United States pulls back from this precipice immediately.

A Secret Recording Reveals That The Bank Of England Pressured Commercial Banks To Manipulate Interes - Duration: 6:51.

A Secret Recording Reveals That The Bank Of England Pressured Commercial Banks To Manipulate

Interest Rates

UK: The central bank (Bank of England) pressured commercial banks during the 2008 financial

crisis to alter their settings for LIBOR (the London Interbank Offered Rate), which is the

rate at which banks lend their reserves to each other.

That has an impact on the cost of mortgages and loans for retail customers.

By manipulating LIBOR, bankers deliberately pushed up the cost of borrowing for ordinary

people.

GEG The LIBOR scandal reemerged yesterday as the

BBCs Panorama uncovered a secret recording implicating the Bank of England in the interest

rate manipulation saga.

According to the BBC the central bank pressured commercial banks during the 2008 financial

crisis to lower their settings for LIBOR.

In a telephone recording, aired last night in the UK, a senior Barclays manager, Mark

Dearlove, can be heard instructing Libor submitter Peter Johnson, to lower his rates.

Mr Johnson: So Ill push them below a realistic level of where I think I can get

money?

Mr Dearlove: The fact of the matter is weve got the Bank of England, all sorts

of people involved in the whole thing I am as reluctant as you are these guys have

just turned around and said just do it.

The Barclays submitter, Peter Johnson, who is featured in the phone call was jailed in

2016 after pleading guilty to accepting requests to manipulate LIBOR.

Previous assurances from the Bank of England that they were not involved in LIBOR fixing

have now come under question again.

It has long been rumoured that the LIBOR fixing went higher than the banks and individuals

that were originally implicated.

In 2012, a 2008 telephone note came to light which recorded a phone call between Paul Tucker,

executive at the Bank of England at the time and Barclays boss Bob Diamond.

The note refers to what is apparently LIBOR not needing to be so high as instructed.

The telephone note was taken on the same day that the Panorama aired phone call between

Johnson and Dearlove, took place.

Despite the published telephone note, Bob Diamond told the Treasury Select Committee

in 2012 that he had only recently became aware of the manipulations.

Chickens coming home to roost

Last week there were also new revelations in a newly published book by David Enrich,

The Spider Network in which Tom Hayes of UBS tells Enrich This goes much much

higher than me and a lot of what I know

Tom Hayes bosses were happy to accept his LIBOR fixing in exchange for higher commissions

until the CFTC investigation came along.

They promptly threw him under a bus and he rightly ended up in prison.

However there was little implication for seniors at UBS and of course, the Bank of England.

It is amazing how many times junior employees seem to take the rap by themselves as

if there has been no instruction or oversight from their managers.

In the banking world, the lone rogue trader is a very common little beast indeed.

Hayes has repeatedly claimed that the real culprits are not the executors of the rigging

but those higher up the chain who had instructions to do so.

As a result very little was done at the BOE following the fallout to LIBOR.

Some staff quietly left their jobs but there were no charges brought against BOE employees.

By manipulating LIBOR, bankers (and seemingly central bankers) pushed up the cost of borrowing

for ordinary people.

LIBOR was not regulated in either the UK, US or anywhere else.

This appears to be an almost line of defence for the Bank of England who only have to provide

information on a voluntary basis to the Serious Fraud Office, as part of a new investigation.

Transforming Sexual Energy Into Spiritual Energy - Duration: 11:18.

Transforming Sexual Energy Into Spiritual Energy

Excuse me, I have the unfortunate urge to reproduce. Would you please accommodate me?

Sex. Its the driving force of nature; from the pollination of plants to the biological

urge to reproduce in animals and humans alike. Its therefore not surprising that most

of our energy arises from our libido.

For Celebrators of solitude, sex is not a subject that is often discussed. While some

Lone Wolves are quite sexually active, others arent at all. But theres a secret force

that lurks within your sexual desire that can be used to enhance your life. Few of us

know about it.

Sex, essentially, is the essence of creation; from the birth of all life, to the birth of

passionate and artistic expression. For centuries man has tried to channel this energy into

more fulfilling areas and higher states of consciousness.

Apart from the Tantric and Taoist sexual energy practices, there are countless other references

to the hidden powers within sex. The Kabbalah for instance, sees sexual desire as the deepest

spiritual expression one can have. And in Yogic philosophy, our pure sexual energy is

dormant until awakened in its highest form known as Kundalini.

Many esoteric groups also practice something calledSex Magick, which can be connected

to Psychologist Carl Jungs notion of sexual alchemy (similar to Freuds sexual sublimination).

This essentially says that, with enough will, we can transform the raw energy from our libidos

into golden creativity.

Famous examples of practitioners of this transformation of sexual energy into creativity include Nikola

Tesla, Gandhi, Richard Wanger, Dante Alighieri, Beethoven, Homer, Henry Thoreau and Leonardo

Da Vinci.

FROM SEX TO INTENSE FOCUS AND CREATIVITY

As part of your apprenticeship into shamanism you are often required to perform abstinence

for prolonged periods of time. In my own experience, I understood this to be an exertion of commitment

to the path, a trial in developing will power and focus despite ones natural instincts.

Sex during this stage of your spiritual path can be seen as a distraction, wasting the

bodys energy and motivation.

During this time I noticed within me increased amounts of energy, focus and creativity. I

was so fascinated by the intensity of these newly aroused qualities that I experimented

with them for a few years.

My greatest personal growth occurred during this period of sexual abstinence, as did my

deepest inner insights. I also experienced boundless levels of physical energy, and developed

a mental focus that has lasted me up to now.

My experience of sexual abstinence has shown me that the admonitions regarding sex in so

many spiritual scriptures, arent necessarily because sex is innately bad (if it was, none

of us would be here!) I believe sex is discouraged because it can be your strongest distraction,

your worst enemy that takes away your attention from intensely pursuing your spiritual path

of fulfilment.

SEXUAL OVER-INDULGENCE

As with everything else in our stimulation-seeking modern society, we abuse sex. And this may

very well be due to the last few centuries of repression and stigma that has surrounded

sex.

Now that sexuality has become more acceptable, however, we naturally react and over-indulge

in it, as can be seen in the media, publicity, or the nightclub nearest to you.

You dont even have to leave the comfort of your own home to witness sexual over-indulgence.

The internet has played a big role in revolutionizing our excessive indulgence with; the promotion

of masturbation and wastage of sexual energy, the amount of time wasted browsing porn sites,

the dehumanization of women and men by teaching us to see them merely as forms of flesh to

be used and discarded.

Of course this is not all bad, and the world is never black and white. Pornography also

works as a catharsis in the release of built up anxieties, tensions and hysteria as well

as a catalyst to explore our sexual guilt and denied sexual thoughts and feelings by

learning to embrace more fully our shadow elements in the sexual domain.

However, when motivated by sexual desire, we develop vaster imaginations, courage, will

power, persistence and creativity that we werent even aware of. Sometimes the sexual

energy within us is so strong we are willing to actually die, hurt others or risk imprisonment

to fulfill them. Image if we could harness this energy and use it towards other, greater

purposes?

HARNESSING YOUR SEXUAL ENERGY

Having a strong sex drive simply isnt enough you must also learn how to use it. Sexual

transformation, or transmutation, means changing your energy and thoughts from physical expression

to energy and thoughts of another, usually creative, purpose.

Truth is, we are all sexual beings. Period. The path of sexual transformation is not about

rapidly indulging sex, denying sex, running away from sex, or even overcoming the desire

for sex. It is about accepting sexual drive as part of your nature, as the base notes

to your higher symphony. Yes we are sexual beings, but we are more than just that sexuality

is just once aspect of who we are.

I have seen many who feel they should rise above their lower nature elements,

and thus decide to flee from or ignore the sexual elements of their natures, considering

them primitive or mediocre. Dont make this mistake, the mistake of confusing the idea

of spirituality with that of escaping or repressing aspects of your authentic being.

Ive learnt that it is never good to repress anything in life. Repression is another form

of postponing, in other words, whatever you repress will eventually catch up to you. Sexual

energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transformed.

The following techniques I have recommended to men and women alike in the past, who have

shown interest in experimenting with their sexual energies:

Seven Day Experiment: For a whole week try abstaining from any sexual activity either

alone or with someone else. After the week, explore how you think and what you feel. While

some people will benefit immensely, others will struggle with built up negative energy

(e.g. anxiety, frustration, grumpy moods etc.) This experiment will inform you of what areas

need to be worked on in your life, and if youre ready for an energy transformation

in your present state. Observe Non-judgementally: While abstaining

from sex, allow any feelings that arise within you come, without any judgement. See them

as they are, they are natural. Simply observe what these desires and feelings are telling

you about yourself. Also try refraining from labelling them as sexual energy. Rather,

treat them as a sensation, like when you experience something hot or cold, and experience

them without any expectations of getting rid of them. Some people by simply observing,

have orgasmic rushes of energy without any physical stimulation.

Keep Having Sex: Im aware of how taxing becoming aware of your sexual energy can be

initially (especially if youre in a relationship). One way to overcome this is to have sex, but

not reach the point of ejaculation or orgasm. This is an ancient Tantric practice, and youll

immediately begin to experience the effects, such as increased energy, focus and inspiration.

To engage in sex awakens your sexual energy that in failing to reach its climax, will

remain within your body for a few hours at its peak state.

Sexual experiences are one of our first spiritual experiences in life. Its that moment in

time when we fill ourselves with a calm present awareness, completely absorbed in the now,

through a sexual orgasm. I hope this article has shown you that we must embrace the spiritual

power that exists within our sexuality, rather than rejecting or throwing it away.

Donald Trump is coming for your Social Security How the GOP plans a bait and switch to cut taxes — a - Duration: 9:06.

Donald Trump is coming for your Social Security How the GOP plans a bait and switch to cut

taxes and pensions

It seems like a lifetime ago that Republican National Committee chief Reince Priebus brokered

a meeting between the unexpected presidential nominee Donald Trump and House Speaker Paul

Ryan to try iron out their differences. But it was just a little less than a year ago

in a world that seems more and more distant by the minute. They spoke of many things,

with Ryan desperately trying to convince Trump that he needed to adopt the GOP agenda and

Trump telling him he didnt know what he was talking about. Bloomberg reported one

particular exchange in the meeting that stuck in my mind:

According to a source in the room, Trump criticized Ryans proposed entitlement cuts as unfair

and politically foolish. From a moral standpoint, I believe in it, Trump told Ryan. But

you also have to get elected. And theres no way a Republican is going to beat a Democrat

when the Republican is saying, Were going to cut your Social Security and the

Democrat is saying, Were going to keep it and give you more.

Trump may not have realized it, but Republicans have never won the presidency by explicitly

saying they were going to make cuts to Social Security. They have always used euphemisms,

saying they were going to privatize it or promising to save it from itself.

The reason Democrats continually win the day (if not the office they are vying for) is

because people dont trust Republican double-talk on the subject and for good reason. They have

been trying to destroy Social Security since it was enacted.

Historian Arthur Schlesinger wrote in The Coming of the New Deal that President Franklin

Roosevelt knew that creating a dedicated funding stream gave workers the legal, moral, and

political right to collect their pensions. He said, With those taxes in there, no

damn politician can ever scrap my social security program. Schlesinger also noted that Republicans

and business leaders at the time were appalled, with one warning that the program would undermine

our national life by destroying initiative, discouraging thrift, and stifling individual

responsibility.

Donald Trumps comment in that meeting last year that he agreed with Ryan on a moral

basis indicated that he was on the same page as those earlier plutocrats even if he

sings a different tune in public. The rest of the quote suggests that his commitment

to saving the program was solely a sales pitch to his marks. Its simply another one of

the cons he was very proficient at during his business career and is now proving himself

to be willing and able to use as president. (Just read his Twitter feed from the last

four years and compare it with what he says today if you dont believe that he conned

his voters.)

The Republicans will never give up on trying the destroy the safety net. Its one of

their fundamental organizing principles along with promoting tax cuts. Other issues may

come and go but these two are perennial. And according to the Associated Press, the administration

has decided to scrap Trumps previously announced tax plan in favor of a new reform

agenda that will accomplish both the dismantling of the Social Security guarantee and the GOPs

cherished tax cuts for the wealthy.

The Trump team is also, unsurprisingly, being dishonest about its intentions. Social Security

expert Nancy Altman described this move as a Trojan horse but considering Trumps ostentatious

promises to protect the program, perhaps its better described as a garden variety bait

and switch. Simply put, Trump and his team are planning to completely abandon Social

Securitys dedicated funding stream from the Federal Insurance Contributions Act payroll

deduction and pay for the program with general revenue. They will sell this as a tax cut

for workers, which is what it will look like on the paycheck.

But Trumps rumored innovation is to replace the money with a form of value-added tax,

which means that typical workers, who spend most of their money on consumer goods, will

still pay taxes; they will just lose their retirement guarantee. Rich people will get

their tax cuts and dont need Social Security anyway. Its a GOP win-win.

What this means is that Social Security will become part of the normal budget process,

subject to the whim of each Congress as legislators appropriate money for wars and pet projects

and their favorite form of fearmongering nonsense: deficit reduction. It is inevitable

that the basic contract all workers have with their government that they will commit

a portion of their wages to the Federal Insurance Contributions Act account and will be guaranteed

a pension 40 years from now will be declared null and void. That contract has resulted

in payouts to several generations of workers since its inception in the 1930s, no thanks

to the Republicans who have consistently tried to find ways to dismantle it.

Although the assaults on the safety net programs have been relentless, at each turn Americans

have fought back, the most recent example being when former President George W. Bush

tried to privatize the Social Security system by diverting the funds to Wall Street. That

plan was thwarted by activism and organization and the epic stock market crash of 2007 took

it off the table for the foreseeable future.

As Schlesinger wrote about the final passage of Social Security:

The federal government was at last charged with the obligation to provide its citizens

a measure of protection from the hazards and vicissitudes of life. One hundred and ten

years earlier, John Quincy Adams had declared that the great object of the institution

of civil, government was the progressive improvement of the condition of the governed.

With the Social Security Act, the constitutional dedication of federal power to the general

welfare began a new phase of national history.

Its the Republicans 75-year experience with Social Security and 40-year history with

Medicare that made them lose their minds over the Affordable Care Act. They know very well

that social insurance benefits are nearly impossible to take away once they are enacted.

People want them and will pay for them. And we just watched them meet that problem head-on

once again with the Obamacare repeal attempt. And once again they were pushed back by citizens

who believe they have a right to basic social insurance that is granted in every other industrialized

nation on the planet.

But it looks like these Republicans, under the leadership of the fake populist and totally

incompetent Donald Trump, may be stupid enough to take on Social Security again. They just

love to tilt at this windmill and they get caught in the blades every time.

Not a BookTube Newbie || tag [CC] - Duration: 4:39.

Hi, everyone! My name is Camille, and today

I'm doing the Not a BookTube Newbie tag.

I was tagged by Lexy from Gaming Readers,

and of course, i'll leave a link to her

channel down below! How old is your

channel? I started my channel in January

of 2016, so that means that my channel is

approximately a year and three months

old now! What are your favorite videos to

make? I really love making Recent Reads

and Tea videos. Those are the videos

where I just sit, and I rant and ramble

about the books that I've been reading

lately, and I drink tea and recommend to

you my favorite teas that I've been

drinking recently! I also really enjoy

making my artistic videos, such as makeup

and art videos, but I don't do this very

often just because they do take more

time to actually film, and I'm a

full-time university student, so I don't

get a lot of time to spend on those! What

is one piece of advice that you would

give to someone looking to join booktube?

First of all, I would say go ahead and

make a video with whatever equipment

that you have. Don't worry about buying a

camera or lights or anything at first,

just make do with what you have, even if

that's just an iphone camera. Your first

priority should be to make friends. I

know that sounds super cheesy, but even

if you invest in the best equipment, if

you don't have friends in the community,

then you're not going to have very much

motivation to make videos in the first

place. Being inspired by the videos that

the other people make and knowing that

they'll contribute to the discussion

that I make on my videos is the biggest

motivation for me to make videos usually

once a week. There are so many

intelligent people in this community, and

I just love looking forward to what

they're going to say. Since joining, have

you run into any unforeseen challenges?

And even though that I just said that

building a community and making friends is

the most important part, it's also one of

the biggest challenges. At least it is

for me, because i am a literature student

and i am a major introvert, so when i get

home from a long day at school, i have

spent the entire day studying and

analyzing literature. And so when i get

home and I want to relax and watch

youtube videos, the first thing that--book

videos aren't the most appetizing thing

to me.

As an introvert, when I watch videos from

people that I consider my online friends,

I'm watching their videos looking for

ways that I can contribute to the

conversation surrounding their video, so

I watch their videos a little bit more

carefully to see what I want to respond

to and what I want to comment about and

what I want to add to what they're

saying. Whereas, when I watch youtubers

not in the book community, I very rarely

comment on their videos, so I don't feel

that pressure when i click on their

videos in the first place. Having friends

online does make it easier for me to be

more social even though I'm such an

introvert, but still, sometimes I would

just prefer to listen and not contribute

anything at all. What are your favorite

books that you've read because of

booktube? Everything by Rainbow Rowell. I

also really like Marissa Meyer, and I've

recently discovered Frederick Bachmann

when I read and My Grandmother Asked Me

to Tell You She's Sorry with the book

club that I made with Lexy, and of course

I there's a link to that book club down

below. Overall, what is your favorite

aspect about booktube? Again I'm going to

talk about the community, even though

that's been an answer for three of my

questions, and lots of those questions

contradict each other! I just feel like

this community is very intelligent in

general, and because this community is

smaller than say the beauty community

and the gaming community on YouTube, I

feel like we get a lot more valuable

input. I just see so much less trolling

around booktube and everyone just seems

so nice and welcoming like they really

want to get into the conversation. Spread

the booktube love and give at least one

newbie a shout out! I don't really know

exactly what makes someone a newbie...

First I'll shout out Kim from Literature

Princess. She not only talks about books,

but she also vlogs her life of being a

princess, and I love it so much! And I

also recently discovered Literatireads,

and so I'll link both of their channels

in the description box down below! And

the final question is: Who do you tag? and

I'm gonna be lazy and say, if you want to

do this tag tag, you're it! And it's not

completely out of laziness that I'm not

tagging anyone specific. it's just that

it's up to you of whether you still

consider yourself a newbie or not.

Like, what makes someone a newbie? Is it

crossing the one year mark, is it

reaching a certain quality of videos, is

it gaining a certain number of

subscribers!? I don't know! so if you feel

like you are not a newbie anymore, then

you are tagged! Alright everyone, that's

all I have for today! Thank you all so so

much for watching! I hope you all have a

super wonderful day, and don't forget

that progress is more important than

perfection <3
