5 Movies That People Still Don't Understand - Duration: 6:28.
Have you ever shown a friend a movie only to hear them say "I don't get it," as the
credits roll?
Look, everyone has their own tastes and that's great — but sometimes the confusion and
disconnect actually comes from the movie itself being intentionally confusing, high-concept,
or just clumsily made.
Let's go over some of these films that make people say "huh?", and pat ourselves on the
back for the ones we know inside and out.
Spoilers ahead!
"Now that's a proper introduction"
Arrival
This 2016 alien invasion film offers a twist on the popular genre by focusing the plot
on efforts to communicate with the aliens across a very tricky language barrier.
It's a slower, more low-key storyline.
We spend most of the movie with Amy Adams' world renowned linguist character as she tries
connecting with the interstellar beings — and begins to understand their complex language.
As the movie goes along, we also get to see flashes of her character in another life,
caring for a daughter that, we as the audience, know is doomed to die young.
While it's natural to assume that what we're seeing are flashbacks, it turns out we're
witnessing a tragedy that actually hasn't happened yet.
We learn at the film's climax — along with Adams' character — that the aliens have
their own more circular way of perceiving time, and the bond that they build with Adams
ends up allowing her to see into the future as they do.
While it's among 2016's most critically acclaimed wide releases, Arrival earned a B Cinemascore,
suggesting a decent number of people walked away somewhat confused.
With its complicated, somewhat challenging plot-twist, that's understandable, but ultimately
a shame.
This flick is truly a cinematic joy.
And then, on the other side of the spectrum...
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Oh boy.
This movie isn't confusing because it's too smart for the audience or anything like that
— it's mostly that it just doesn't make any sense.
From Wonder Woman's motivations to the basic structure of the plot — Batman v Superman
is a movie that barely hangs together, and only scrapes by thanks to sound and spectacle.
The heavily criticized Martha moment wasn't just a head-scratching failure because it
was weird — even though it totally was.
The real problem was that it just wasn't enough to explain why Batman would suddenly decide
to not fulfill a mission he'd pursued obsessively to this point.
This movie does a lot to convince us that Batman believes, with absolute certainty,
that Superman is a danger to the world.
So, it really doesn't make sense that having a mother with the same name would be enough
to deter Batman — and even have him describe himself as Superman's "friend" just a few
scenes later.
"I'm a friend of your sons."
"I figured.
The cape."
This, coupled with the movie's unexplained dream sequences and Jesse Eisenberg's nutso
version of Lex Luthor makes the film feel fundamentally illogical, incomplete, and frustrating.
Lots of longtime fans of these characters were pretty upset with how the movie handled
the source material.
And if Batman v Superman was someone's introduction to the DC universe, they probably left the
theater wondering what the hell they just got themselves into.
Only God Forgives
Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling followed up their dreamy and fantastic film Drive with
a hard left turn into the abstract with 2013's Only God Forgives.
Taking the action to Thailand, Gosling stars as, essentially, a way less interesting, non-driving
version of his character from Drive.
He spends a big chunk of the movie wandering through the dreamy Bangkok cityscape, leaving
audiences to wonder "What the hell is going on?"
If that wasn't weird and off-putting enough, we're also treated to surreal karaoke sequences
from a character called both Lieutenant Chang and the Angel of Death, and described by the
director as, quote, "a mythological creature that has a mysterious past but cannot relate
to reality because he's heightened and he's pure fetish."
Uh, okay.
The entire movie is kinda like that, and it's not hard to imagine that some folks left the
theater feeling worried that they weren't smart enough to understand it.
Well, here's some good news: there's not actually much going on in this over-blown
film.
For anyone who left the movie feeling confused, don't sweat it: you were totally justified.
None of this makes any sense.
Prometheus
Fans and critics alike have talked about this movie's puzzling failures quite a bit, but
there are plenty of good reasons to do so — especially when you consider just how
much potential Prometheus had.
The film is an ambiguous prequel in the Alien film franchise, but it unfortunately confused
audiences with everything from it characters' basic motivations to its strange conclusion.
"I think there might be some confusion about our relationship"
The truth is that Prometheus almost works — but it falls short as it spends a lot
of time hinting at plot and story, while failing to actually deliver the necessary parts that
make an audience care.
Even longtime fans were unable to connect to anything happening in front of them during
Prometheus.
It was so weird and fundamentally unsatisfying that it's no surprise the franchise is eager
to get some distance from this one.
Prometheus 2 has been renamed Alien: Covenant, and fans' hopes are high that it can bring
the franchise back to form.
The Butterfly Effect
Serious actor Ashton Kutcher's The Butterfly Effect is one of the dumbest movies ever to
remain essentially watchable while being completely illogical at the same time.
While you might think the movie makes sense, if you take even a second to really think
about the plot, it totally falls apart.
Kutcher's protagonist is blessed — or perhaps…cursed — with the ability to use old personal tokens
to phase back through time to memorable moments in his life.
And so he spends the bulk of the movie trying to fix his mistakes, usually only to emerge
in situations that are even worse.
The premise and baseline rule of the movie — that the slightest change can alter the
course of your life entirely — gets thrown out the window time and time again whenever
the script deems it necessary.
In one scene, as Kutcher tries to defend himself inside a violent prison, he goes back in time
to stab his hands, frightening the other inmates with his sudden new wounds.
But if going back in time to change the slightest thing changes everything, then why is Kutcher
still in jail?
Why did the wounds appear as if by magic, instead of appearing scarred over after what
should have been an entire life of having them?
Is it really worth it to try and figure out this movie's logic?
Well… no.
So if you don't get this one, don't worry too much — no one really does.
It's a great example of a pretty good idea that ultimately was poorly executed and left
much to be desired.
Ah, well.

How much sleep do I REALLY get in med school? - Duration: 8:13.
Hi guys!
I've been getting a ton of questions on exactly how much sleep I get so today I wanted to
explain that and divide it up by all the rotations I've been thru and really talk about how much
sleep I've been getting.
So if you guys don't know I've been wearing this Withings watch for a little less than
two years and I've talked about this watch before but the reason why I like it so much
is because it looks like a regular watch but it actually tracks your activity throughout
the day and as well as your sleep at night.
So I've sort of gathered all the data from the past two years or so and kind of graphed
everything out so that I can visually look at how much sleep I'm getting.
It's actually very interesting.
So let's get started.
The first graph is here is the entire second year of medical school.
You can see my average sleep is about 7 and a half hours and that's something I've been
preaching a lot like I try to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep.
That's my goal in life--pretty much.
And you guys can see there a little bit of standard deviation--1.6 hours for the most
part my sleep can range from between 6 and 8 hours.
I'd say that's pretty good.
Really, the nice thing about the first two years of medical school is your flexibility
in terms of scheduling so you get to kind of make your own schedule, listen to the lectures
on your own time, and if you're really sleep deprived then you get to sleep in a little
bit or you can go to sleep earlier and it doesn't really matter.
You're not really technically required to be at school for the most part.
So moving on to Step 1 studying.
If you guys don't know, Step 1 is a board exam for people in medical school.
It's part one of three board exams that you have to take in order to become a licensed
MD.
You take Step 1 after second year medical school, Step 2 during your 4th year, and Step
3 sometime during your residency, first year.
So during Step 1 studying, you can see my average was a little less than second year
of medical school.
My average is 7.1 hours but I have a narrower--smaller standard deviation of 1.2 hours.
I didn't wanna sacrifice any sleep during Step 1 time because sleep is really important
in learning and forming memories so I wanted to keep it as regular and as routine as possible.
Moving on to third year of medical school, when everything changes and you're actually
required to be at the hospital everyday.
Psychiatry was my first rotation.
It looks like I didn't get that much sleep during psych.
I have 6.4 hours average and 1.2 standard deviation.
I think the reason why I have a little less sleep in psychiatry even though it's considered
a less rigorous rotation is because it was my first rotation of third year.
So I was probably nervous and trying to get up early so I can look nice for the hospital
and everything.
That's probably why I have a little less sleep than I should have for psych rotation--I think.
Also it was summer time, this was during July and August, so I was probably during stuff
at night with friends, enjoying my summer.
I think that's why I had a little less sleep at 6.4 hours.
Next rotation I had was pediatrics rotation, for that rotation, I remember my watch battery
ran out and I just didn't have time to buy the new battery or I kept on forgetting so
I don't have any data from peds rotations--which sucks cause in peds I thought we had a lot
of variability inpatient time, office time so I wanted to see what my sleep would look
like but unfortunately, I don't have that data.
Next rotation I had is ob-gyn.
And you can see that my average sleep was about 6.7 hours with 2.0 standard deviation.
You can see beginning of the rotation, I'm staying pretty much consistent but then towards
the end, there's a lot of ups and downs and a lot of dips, probably because I was spending
a little more time studying, some of these may have been an error of my watch, it says
two nights I got like 2 hours of sleep.
That's probably not true.
But I do remember being very tired during ob-gyn and taking some naps so I think that
threw off my sleep schedule a little bit.
The next rotation was Family Medicine.
So for family medicine, it looks like I got a lot of sleep, at an average of 7.1 hours
with 1.5 hours of standard deviation.
It looks like there is a clear pattern going on where beginning of the rotation, I have
a very consistent sleep schedule and then towards the end it kinda dips up and down
a lot.
Also family medicine, if you guys remember, is the month I did my vlogmas.
So I think if I didn't do vlogmas, I probably would have gotten a little more sleep but
because I was doing filming, editing and trying to upload on time I think Iost a little bit
of sleep there.
So next is rotation is surgery, there is a ton of ups and downs.
So average hours of 6.4 and 1.9 hours of standard deviation.
You guys can see, there's a ton of ups and downs during surgery--that's because I think
I was waking up at like 4:45am... or trying to get to hospital by 4:45am on most days
on surgery.
But there were days, like on weekends when I didn't have to go in and I would just sleep
forever.
I really wanted to make up that sleep debt whether that's real or not, so I think that's
why there's so many ups and downs.
I don't see that similar pattern of sleeping consistently beginning of the rotation and
then not sleeping as much towards the end because I think throughout I was just studying
and trying to stay on top of things and waking up early so I think that's why it's so erratic
during this rotation.
Next and finally, it's not completely done but it's my internal medicine rotation.
This rotation, I have the least amount of sleep so far.
I don't quite understand why cause I go into the hospital a little later than surgery but
it looks like I've been getting an average of 6.2 hours and 1.7 hours of standard deviation.
It looks like there's also a lot of ups and downs in internal medicine.
My guess for why the average is so low is because for internal medicine.
I've been going into the hospital 6 days a week, whereas most of my other rotation it's
5 days a week.
So almost everything that I've done so far, I'd only go in on Monday through Friday and
occasionally maybe a weekend shift but for internal medicine, I've been consistently
going in every Saturday as well so I think that's why the average is a little low.
There are definitely days when I have a lot of sleep and I've taken couple naps in internal
medicine.
The way the software works for my watch is it will add in all the naps as part of your
sleep.
I think that's why I have all these upward bumps in internal medicine.
Those are naps!
So that's all the data I have so far on how much sleep I'm getting in med school.
I'll try to do an update video in the future when I'm down with med school and I wanna
make two disclaimers before I end the video.
Number 1 is that this watch measures sleep by how much you're moving in your sleep so
it kind of calculates based on light sleep and deep sleep.
So it's not a perfect way to measure how much sleep you're getting but over a long period
of time it gives you a relative idea of how much sleep you're getting.
Disclaimer number 2 is that this video is not really meant to show you how much sleep
you'd be getting in each of these rotation or specialties, these are my personal experience,
there's a lot of personal stuff going on like vlogmas and how much I was going out, or how
much I was studying at night, so it's not really an objective view of how much sleep
YOU will be getting in these rotation or if you were to go into these specialties.
So with that, I'm gonna end the video here.
If you guys have any questions, about my watch, or how much sleep I'm getting or any details,
please let me know in the comment section and I'll try to answer them if I can.
Thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you guys in the next video.
Byeee!

Fun Factory Stronic Eins | Sex Toy Review - Duration: 4:02.
This review has taken me a ridiculously long time to do for a few different reasons, but
mainly because of the dissonance between how my vagina feels about this toy and how my
brain feels.
Let's get this out of the way first: the Fun Factory Stronic Eins is a nearly $200 sex toy.
I never really know whether to talk about price in my toy reviews.
Sometimes I feel like I should only discuss the faults and merits of the product and let
consumers determine their own feelings about the cost, because A. my reviews are about my
personal experience, and price doesn't tend to factor in when companies send
me things, and B. everyone's obviously in different financial situations, and "expensive"
can mean very different things to different people.
But at the same time, I know my audience.
I talk to you guys.
I know your demographics.
And I don't want to feel like an asshole up here waving around a $200 vibrator going
"YOU ALL NEED ONE!" while knowing full well that, in all likelihood, most of you can't afford
that.
I mean, I'm a YouTuber -- I sure as hell can't afford that.
I just want to be realistic here, y'know?
But first, let's just discuss the toy itself.
The Stronic Eins is what Fun Factory calls a "pulsator," meaning that instead of having
a traditional vibrating motor, it actually has a weight inside of it that moves back
and forth in a thrusting motion.
They have several other different Stronic designs, including a rabbit and one made for
prostates.
I was advised by a Fun Factory rep that the textured Drei model is the most popular,
but I've heard from reviewers who've had problems with that one locking behind their pubic bone
and refusing to glide freely.
I've had pubic bone issues with toys before, so I opted for the Eins and its slightly curved,
no-frills shaft.
The Stronic Eins does not come with a storage bag, which is ridiculous, because if any toy
needs one, it's this one.
It WILL attract every bit of dust and hair within a five-mile radius.
The silicone, like on a lot of other Fun Factory other toys I've tried, is very matte and
draggy.
This toy actually has some of the draggiest silicone I have ever felt -- it's even slightly
grainy, which is just weird.
You definitely need to be generous with the lube for this toy to glide comfortably.
That said, once it is gliding comfortably, this thing feels phenomenal.
It took a bit of getting used to, figuring out that gripping the toy at all would impede
its movement and determining which of the 10 different pulsation settings works best for me.
(I'm partial to Gallop, Rumble, and Rumba, if you're wondering.)
The hallmark of the Stronic is, in my opinion, consistency.
Humans are not consistent.
When I'm manually thrusting a toy, my hand can get tired, my timing can falter...
I'm rarely able to thrust through an entire masturbation session.
But with the Stronic Eins, it does all the work for me.
I can increase or decrease its speed at the touch of a button, and it hits my G-spot with
an accuracy I never anticipated based on its fairly straight shaft.
I love this thing. So much.
As you might've seen, I named it one of the top two best toys I tried in all of 2016.
Now, let's get back to the price tag.
Who do I think this toy would be worth the price for?
If you're a sex toy aficionado who looks at this thing and thinks it's the coolest shit
ever, it might be worth adding to your collection.
There are a lot of hands-free positions and nearly hands-free positions this toy can be
used in.
As long as it has something to brace against (a pillow, a couple of fingers, the heel of your foot
if you curl your legs up) it doesn't need to be held onto,
which could be great for folks with certain disabilities who have difficulties thrusting
a toy themselves.
In general, if you can afford it and you really want it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
If you can't afford it, though, don't worry -- there are so many incredible sex toys out
there that can be had for way, way less money.
I love my Fun Factory Stronic Eins, but I don't think it's necessary to life.
I'm super happy to own it, and you can pry it out of my cold, dead hands.
But if something happened to it, would I run out and cough up the money replace it?
I honestly don't know.
I really hope something in this jumbled mess of thoughts was helpful.
Let me know your thoughts on this toy down in the comments!
Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time!

【Minecraft】マイクラの全ブロックでピラミッド Part85【ゆっくり実況】 - Duration: 10:18.
Hello, this is Teryi.
Good evening, it is slowly.
Thank you for your viewing.
Thanks dear.
Now, when I looked up again, it seems to be somewhat amazing thing.
As far as from the site is was a pyramid, but as is being transformed into something other than the pyramids when viewed from the village.
I wonder this happens in what.
You do not know me also. It is anyway soon, likely much spirit attack from an unknown life forms Hanekaese.
Well last time, to craft one way the Nether production of building materials, has created a spare sword of drop increase three.
And then try Kakaro aside crushing work I just came to the village of darkness.
I like the shadow of the curse alive and well.
Because the manner in which the other growth has stopped, is where you want to somehow.
Sate Mazuwa immediately long ago borrowed other things similar to the other, the village Roh streetlights Roh black wool Roh return death moth.
This is when there is a surprisingly height, seems to be a twist required to re-installed.
Once a black wool we have now and to the scaffold?
But then I think the trouble if you want to.
As it is for some time stand still and feel good on the wool.
I see, is dismissed.
Well, and surely there are squid.
Uo, did not think that fascinated me the twist subduction open leg.
Please give to focus also on the villagers fell into the well.
It is impossible because there are squid.
It 's taken to say.
Well, even wool return planning of tying scaffolding installed ban ranged from ultra-short-term, became a successfully completed with this. It was short.
In other words, I want see the cry is here suddenly the ending.
Excuse me. Please anymore was a little bit last.
Well next, or what did you do in the shadow of the curse, I worry because did not think too much.
In, in the vicinity of the apex of the time being the shadow of the chunk, we decided to keep marked with torches.
I that I from the wait-and-see turn off the finely shadow.
Approach and gone immediately light source process is running, is the utmost that put mark on some of the vertices.
Well, So the crush springing only immediate minute.
Black on the map in the coal block of 138 layers, is probably sufficient to crush springing from the inside.
In, in the intervals of springing crushing work, the springing crush story that has been told and want to try in the Zonbisupona from earlier, we will explain in simple drawings.
First of all, one by one of this square Please think chunk.
17 × 17 I chunk.
And this in the middle of the chunk, a zombie that was so as not to de-spawn and to have a like item, you want keep to 79 bodies Ugomeka.
Then say what will happen, if I of the thinking is correct, this as long as I'm in the white frame, I'm supposed new hostile mobs no longer spawn.
When I got out of the white frame further say, for example, when I was in the star position.
Hostile newly sprung in place from me or more away 128m mobs, should immediately de-spawn.
In other words, in the chunk of the middle wherever is Teryi, I No such should be immediately de-spawn even if new zombie is not young, or sprung.
The springing crushed in Zonbisupona, or not protect the village from zombies by applying this principle, it is a story to say that.
However this is, because the idea was based on the inferred from the wiki and past play experience, I do not know and do not try to do it is either actually can be.
In, it is on to try There are several problems. Whether there is a Zonbisupona per below the village, but but is the biggest problem.
It more feelings target two large field moth, plan moth perfectly well made hand gone the other case, the pyramid surface Made mourning moth springing crush is the thing name down death.
That pyramid inside, it's gonna be on whether even torches installation work 17,000 this was what.
Well, but at that time, not a should you remove all torches?
It blows up if much remove all TNT.
That's is it.
Well it is first aside, at 17,000 this also of the torch, if it were actually crushed aside pyramid surface, but it is you want to see.
So, first to the originally planned, we decided to crush normally springing village with torches.
I think that probably become a beacon installed just before Atari, but I begin to start looking Zonbisupona around that time.
And, although the torch cuts out, do is well like this mon.
It did become troublesome.
And it became so reasonable playing time, this recording is the end to come at a map on the Nether.
And it I was you become as it is come back unexpected people.
It is amazing to reverse dies at only go every map.
In, I tried to expand the old map of the search, which had been put away in the chest of the Nether, it was moving and lively.
Well But it's too late.
But if you know this, I think that Ikaseru something future.
As long remember until that time.
There is a chance of success If you already done in faint memory.
Now return to the pyramid sites, and the mules who take care of the daily routine.
Next Roh building turn Roh building wood wo all have hand look at cod, inventory Dake de fit better the other.
I worry forget this if Ender chest.
No, indeed of even me, that to forget the ender chest is not only enough to be counted in both hands both feet finger.
Surprisingly I No less.
Now, the building turn the day came. It is still nice weather.
Immediately to the forefront because it already finished preparation.
Pyramid up to the present time is not extended up to 139 layers, construction progress is 97.7%.
In, the gain coming in the six layers worth of up to 145 layers, progress When you have finished loading the 1% elongation, will reach 98.8%.
It means, such as that wiped out the shadow of the curse. why?
I'll somehow lonely.
Possibly to near the apex of the chunk, what was the weak point of the shadow of the curse.
Are you and what of the story.
When I thought Well, mysterious presence to come out to the game is usually the weak point has been set.
And there is often a point as the weakness of the square shape shadow of, since would be the center or the corner kid of the square, it was what seems to know If you think a little.
So are you and what of the story.
From Nether crystal ore in the Well, we gained and crispy.
In, is one lap in about longer 1 minute and 10 seconds.
I soon likely to go even uncut 8x.
Anyway, it seems to have become little by little the fog takes height.
In, but from the next is the third Lien Chan of the Nether crystal block system.
Again frankly, Nether crystal block seems to be the most beautiful block in the Micra. Marble of the image is strong.
And of course also columnar Nether crystal block.
In my feelings I just want you to have been generated in the mountains. Why it is generated in the Nether.
White and shape is because ish gust.
Well, during the day waiting for the sunset, I tried to look at the village from the top.
In the feeling as seen from here, leakage crushed springing which was worried is no good.
It I know may be around that crushed the shadow of the curse.
Will light source processing runs in the nearby also there is a torch only.
And Nether crystal with a pattern also still beautiful, and.
No When this look closely, you mean one stroke?
And it does not need silent if also. Follow.
What.
Uo Toka branch point to come up here. Go to the top Ei.
Please quickly building from good.
Have you finished loading in the translation says.
By the way towards the map and say, we got quite Buttoku whitish.
Well it 's so.
And finished frankly loading the sparkling beauty and Kana Glow Stone.
The last one of the construction of the half-block, now complete.
Now the rest I 1.2%.
Now, when you list the remaining block 19 kind of at this point, it looks like.
We'll have accumulated painful block gathered.
Next is still undersea temple to start but, to be assembled a level 4 beacon before that, we will collect the emerald block a little.
Well, because Kiri is good in the place that has returned to the pyramid base, this time is up here.
Play has advanced to this earlier, it was lined with rail up to the village.
To confinement in some pyramid villagers next time.
It only supposed to be moving of moving seekers.
Well actually, because the villagers move is a matter that there is no've done up to now, I'm looking forward even though a little anxiety.
It is really often was doing the first time in this project.
So, we will work hard the next time.
see you next time. Buying and selling.

Hello and welcome to episode five of Deaf Poynters
where I take us for a drive, sort of, I'm parked, really,
and you talk to me
about your deaf or disability-related problems.
I have a question or concern from Ingrid today.
"Hi, my name is Ingrid, and I was just diagnosed
"with conductive hearing loss.
"I live in an area with a small population,
"so there isn't a large Deaf community.
"Outside of the medical side of being hard of hearing,
"I don't know anything about Deaf culture.
"I'm not really sure what to look up even to be honest.
"What are some things someone who's new to being
"hard of hearing, deaf, should know or look into?
"I'm not sure what there is to know,
"or what I don't know, so I feel really nervous
"I'm going to acc..." Oh!
"So I feel really nervous that I'm going to accidentally
"do or say something uncool
"when I finally do move somewhere with a community,
"or that I might just not know about the culture enough
"to connect with anyone."
I kind of paraphrased that a little bit,
but that's the - can I help you, Sun?
We're just gonna be in like weird positions today
to try to avoid the sun as much as possible.
I already moved parking spots, okay,
so it's just not gonna help.
Anyways, so the first thing you can do,
the first thing you should do is google.
And I don't mean that in the, like, condescending
or belittling, like, oh my god, google it, kind of way.
I mean really, that's your best bet.
That's your number one thing that you need to do,
and I would just really, I would just google
'"Deaf culture", "Deaf community", "Deaf history".
Um... There are books out there.
Gallaudet has a book that they use
in their curriculum.
I can't remember exactly what it's called.
I wanna say it's like Deaf History something,
it's something that I really want,
but it is expensive.
Books and the internet are going to be
your best bet, really.
There is, there's a book called Deaf President Now,
which I read a little bit of,
but I have not finished,
and I think that's going to be one of the major
kind of topics that you can read about
because the protest at Gallaudet for a deaf president
was a very huge deal and is a very huge deal.
YouTube definitely helps,
there's a lot of videos out there.
There's my channel, obviously,
but there's a documentary called Through Our Eyes,
I think that's what it's called, Through These Eyes,
Through These Eyes, Through Those Eyes, something.
Mostly an Alexander Graham Bell kind of thing, I think,
maybe, I don't know,
but you gotta learn about how Alexander Graham Bell
really was, which I'll have a video on it eventually.
There's a lot of research to be done on that video.
As far as YouTube channels go, ASL Stew is
a very, very good channel.
And, let's see.
There's a Facebook group called,
I don't remember exactly what it's called,
it's Learning ASL and Deaf Culture, I think.
It's a fairly new group,
it moved from the ASL Practice Pals group,
so I will link that down below.
Being part of actual Deaf events is
really, really helpful, too.
I would say google "Deaf events",
put your city in, see if you can pull something up.
Obviously towns that are very, very small,
you'll have a harder time finding something,
you may not find anything at all,
but it's worth looking into.
I think that's pretty much all that I can really tell you,
I would just, if you google "Deaf culture",
"Deaf community", into Google, and look through books,
and then move on from there.
Google is going to give you so many sources.
I'll have the links I mentioned down below.
If I forget something, which I probably will,
people in the comments, please let me know.
People who are watching this,
you might also have some resources,
so please leave those down below,
any other tips, but internet and books, really,
those are your two biggest and greatest things
that will help you out.
They helped me out a lot.
So hope that helps.
If you have a question, concern about anything
deaf or disability-related, please email
at deafpoynters@gmail.com,
please be specific about whether or not you want this
in a video, or if it's for the website,
deafpoynters.com, it goes this way, not, I don't know.
I think this series is doing pretty well,
we're on episode five, so I feel a little better.
I get an email for at least one per every episode
that I upload, so I'm feeling good.
I'd feel better if I didn't have this sun happening,
but, and all these noises, what is it?
(motor sounds)
I don't hear it, but I feel it.
What is this?
I don't, there are no other, well, I'm downtown,
so okay, but still, creepin' me out.
Anyway, if you wanna follow me
on all of my social media, links
to that will be down below.
If you wanna help support my content
you can do so by being a monthly patron
on Patreon or you can leave tips on ko-fi,
both links will be down below.
I upload every Monday, Thursday,
and Deaf Poynters on Saturdays,
and I will see you later, bye.

hello everyone and welcome back to
chickens Oh sig the case of murdered
since the second installment of the
chicken servicing Syrians and I think
after after thinking for a while reading
like how he said that his name was
misspelled last episode i think it's
sausage I don't think it's so big so I
probably probably been streaming at me
the whole time going hey it's sausage
but it's okay so we're just going to
pick right up alright so unfortunately
yes he is self approach unpredictable
mood swings so they were in the bar the
pub talking about text and and all that
good stuff is this turned down all the
way it is turned on all the lame it's
just loud in my ears for some reason
okay yeah that'd be putting it lightly
we speculate Dennis due to his well how
could I put this politely his breeding
ha ha what do you mean he's a pitbull
dude now we don't know that for sure
that's just a rumor you just have to
look at him you could for sure see it
when he gets angry he's all like her
totally pitbull his tantrums on game
night can be pretty wild anyway sexton
boat would usually sell their difference
in the short time yeah how well did you
both know boom what was a pretty sweet
gal kind of chill liked her book she was
a writer of sorts working from home on
novels yeah she spent a ton of time on
her computers just riding have you ever
read any of her books I own no no I have
not actually shuffles nervously hey oh
man she wrote some serious smut dude
double smiles officially laughing into
his claws oh I seem asked them where
they can buy it where we can buy it for
research Wow no okay I think I'm done
next two new questions or do you know
what the argument was about I think I'm
done thanks for talking with us before
you go you should really try something
for my new cocktail menu detective work
is thirsty work ever looks at you full
of hope
I'm so very sorry he has really been
trying to push this cocktail menu that
he just created come on look at his
little face he'll be crushed sure yeah
oh cool so we could pick something the
forest spirit the shadow creature
all-seeing eye the bad bird or the Z
word I'll see all these are like the
cheeky unicorn cocktail menu yeah these
are all light references to the first
game like the shadow creature is status
is exalted shadow sausage all-seeing eye
is the book the bad bird on the
all-seeing eye I'll see a guy and this
one is a min favorite drink she says she
could see the future much clearer after
knocking back here these also it goes
big what do you reckon I'll keep looking
I need a little bit more time to think
let's go with the bad bird the bad bird
that's interesting it was supposed to
say the good bird there must have been a
mix-up with the pruners what do you
reckon oh this must be like the
different endings of the game I wonder
I'll keep looking I need a little more
time to think shadow creature Oh a
shadow creature I think this one it
tastes of blackcurrant spices and it
looks right back at you what are you
reckon sounds good yep I'll have that
one excellent i'll whip this side up
right away he's a giant to make a
cocktail he got his my little bartender
set for the new year he won't stop
trying to do this bartender stunts it's
called flare bartending and boy do I
have Flair drink up you'll have a spring
in your step now thank you for humoring
him thanks for the dream hey good luck

so he calls me Wiggles what do you
thinking if anything I'm thinking maybe
we go see how men's getting on with
their play in the contact bow really
well okay whatever let's go see what mad
bats cooked up so this gotta be like
many different endings to this game then
spawning from like what drink you pick
and other stuff what's going on over
there I'm not really sure oh jeez okay
hey Wiggles is that me yeah Wiggles come
have a look at this what wow what are
you making it's what I was telling you
about earlier it's a phone to the other
side oh yes this will definitely work
it's a phone on top of a Scrabble board
hey simple is best okay so how does it
work it does not work okay so you're
right your question and Scrabble letters
it has to be pretty short due to limited
tiles you have to leave the phone off
the hook a dial dead person's number
head will grab those things hands and
holds it tightly in excitement then your
own hands where the ghost rings the
phone no they don't okay I think it's
all set up did it take long set up the
board itself no but the ambiance however
needs to be finely tuned candle for
everything typical so have you learned
anything we learned some stuff and we
found a diary a Bose place it was all
about quiz so we gave it to them you
just handed it right back huh I always
thought the bow worked alone on right
thinking not for this one anyway hey men
Wiggles I got runs the crab pots of that
pub I got a ride back to the pub because
it's gonna be open in time soon and
actually a wonder where I went I just
had to come see the ghost phone though
so cool thank you for the hell playable
give my love two eggs Lee laters can we
contact bow or does this work give me
content boom yep but think i can if you
have Bulls not but I'll dial it in ah oh
I don't know both telephone number oh
that's would be a problem what you don't
know it she lived next door this is
worse well it should i'm pretty sure i
set the cups just right I haven't tested
it but I'm pretty confident in it oh boy
okay I think I've done asking you
questions okay we'll be back man I gotta
go find out those number okay hurry back
i'll be waiting right here
man you okay let's go ask text for Bo's
number he's bound to know it just a
little bit further Texas place when you
get to the ghost phone don't get your
hopes up oh oh geez um is that quiz shit
it is why would anyone want to kill quiz
they were a little creepy but they
seemed harmless to shame it's really the
only outcome in this demo for quiz is
going to injure a few more times hanging
in there quiz you are a trooper taking
it for the team wait was that it oh no
was it oh my god by to keep a looky all
that was it oh man I was so short ah man
I should just kept the goal in the first
episode that was so good though okay
well is there anything else I guess
aren't are there any extras or is it
yeah I guess that's it
okay well um well I at least want to
know if anything different happens with
the UM with the drinks thing so I'm
going to get I got the shadows you
creature last time I'm going to get the
all-seeing eye sounds good yes I'll have
that one excellent i'll whip this up
right away is it time to make a cocktail
it's got described above applies called
flare bar grab now drink up all right
thank you for humoring him thanks for
the drink a good luck Wiggles see if
anything changes anything really ok
we'll see let's see if oh what's going
on over there I'm not really sure it
doesn't look any different to be
completely honest with you it does not
work ok blocked abdallah's I have lots
of fish now click click click click
click click click click here mere oh
yeah definitely that's it it doesn't
matter it doesn't matter what drink you
pick as always the same ending so that's
it for the demo for chicken so doing a
case of murder apparently there's a full
game coming out and I'm super excited
for it I'm definitely going to play it I
love this series fantastic it's got that
reminisce a feeling of like adventure
time and other groovy stuff like that
plus it's a partner thing like it's two
characters as the main character and
that's always fun I love those kind of
games so anyway I hope you guys enjoyed
if you did make sure you slap that like
button underneath the video and until
next time I'll see you guys later

Avena Asoleada & Calendula Jabón Artesanal Procesado en Frío - Duration: 13:30.
A lot of hispanic people
ask me how I make soaps.
Today Ariane will prepare her
soap "Sunny Oatmeal and Calendula"
Hi I'm Ariane from
La Fille de la mer, Handmade Soaps
in the Magdalen Islands
Quebec, Canada. Here is
my friend Claudia: Hello to
all the people who listen to us from
Latin America, Europe and all
parts of the world.
I'm here to help my friend
with translation into Spanish.
Thank you! A pleasure. Let's take a look
at how soaps are made!
This soap contains
cocoa butter and
shea butter as well as
coconut oil.
Here the recipe has been prepared beforehand.
Then we have rolled oats
white colorant, the yellow mica
The scents that we will use in this
soap are lemon and
geranium essential oils. To prepare
this cold processed soap
we will use natural coconut milk and
of course our ground calendula flower petals
Well now Ariane will begin
preparing her colorants
They will be dispersed in water. Then
both oils and butters will need
to melt oververy low heat.
Once this is melted
Ariane completes the recipe by adding
olive oil and the other luxury oils.
Now that butters are melted
I will pour the olive oil.
Well now let's look at the
different types of oils:
The first is a sweet almond oil
The second is Rice bran Oil
and the third oil is
castor oil
Very good! Then this is the oil
Castor I want you to remember that
in Ariane's recipe it is supremely
important that the exact amount of the
ingredients are well measured.
Obviously to obtain the result that
we want: soap! Now adding the
rice bran oil.
the last oil
sweet almond oil
sweet almond
Now the next step is to ... mix ...
the oils and butters
with the sodium hydroxide & water solution
or if you prefer in NaOH (lye-water)
Once these two are together
a reaction occurs that is called
saponification. This is
why Ariane is dressed
to avoid any possible
accident and of course uses
protective goggles,
gloves and an apron.
Safety is important when making soap
Do not try this without further research!
NaOH is very corrosive and
Claudia will step back
in a safe place while Ariane
makes the soap!
Yes very good. Arianeis currently pouring
the coconut milk in the
oils and butters.
Up to the last drop! It is very important to stir to emulsification
We want to obtain a smooth
and homogeneous consistency.
Now, Ariane will add the lye-water
very slowly to avoid splashing
of course, mixing with the stick blender
at the same time.
Now we witness the..
process of saponification where
oils becomes soap. In this
moment she will split the soap batter
in order to ba able
to continu her process.
She will color each part:
white and yellow.
This is when she adds
the ground oatmeal as you know,
our sunny oatmeal and our
calendula flower petals ... Yes! we continue on
Here is the white colour
And here is the yellow mica added
to the lightly traced soap batter.
We must emphasize that the part
yellow
will be the bottom layer and the white part
which will be made later will be on top.
These are the essential oils: lemon
and our Egyptian Geranium.
We saw a few moments ago
at the beginning but I realize
the nice smell and of course the
lemon! Like lemonade!
Then we prepare this
time to pour the yellow part
of the soap batter
in the wooden mold that is lined
with a type of paper
we could say that is a wax paper
but in reality is much
more sophisticated since it contains a thin
layer of plastic.
It's simply freezer paper. :-)
Well then Ariane at this time
will place the second layer, coloured
in white. To facilitate since the stockpot
is very heavy she will use a smaller
container making it much easier
as you can see.
it is easier to handle.
She uses
a spatula to catch the white soap
to keep it from breaking the yellow
layer and mixing
with it! It is like making
a lasagna!
Lasagna soap!
Lasagna soap! It is the same principle!
Let's continue!
Claudia what's happening? You always speak so loud
and today so low!
It's normal as this is my first experience
on the internet but it's no problem
You know how to speak in
front of an audience! Yes, it is my profession!
I speak to a public everyday
with my spanish students!
With students! We have one
last step. Well and this is
a little surprise! Ariane is
placing the leftover yellow content
to decorate the top!
I just let it drip on top
it is like...
making a marble effect
Those techniques are obviously
inspired by bakery. It is a pastry
technique!
It is possible to use this technique
when making soap too!
Ariane will now decorate the soap
with oatmeal, a little to pretty it up
It's a bit as we do in pastries too!
And now she adds the calendula
flower petals to complete. TADA !!!
Thank you very much to my friend Claudia
for helping me with translation!
Thank you for allowing me to be here
we onlywant to say that the
process of suporificación...
Saponification! OMG!
You know that I didn't study to make soaps!
So this will rest 24 hours
and tomorrow I won't be here but
Ariane will be and she will take the soap
out of the mold and can
proceed to cut it into bars of soap!
Wow! Thank you! Bye!
Thank you for watching this video!
I hope you liked it and until
next time take care!
Good bye!
