Cuvântul Întrupat - Afirmația Cristologică ( The Word Made Flesh) - Duration: 1:24.

We confess the mystery and wonder of God made flesh

and rejoice in our great salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord.

With the Father and the Holy Spirit,

the Son created all things,

sustains all things,

and makes all things new.

Truly God,

He became truly man,

two natures in one person.

He was born of the Virgin Mary

and lived among us.

Crucified, dead, and buried,

He rose on the third day,

ascended to heaven,

and will come again in glory and judgment.

For us, He kept the Law,

atoned for sin,

and satisfied God's wrath.

He took our filthy rags

and gave us His righteous robe.

He is our Prophet, Priest, and King,

building His church,

interceding for us,

and reigning over all things.

Jesus Christ is Lord;

we praise His holy Name forever.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

Amen.

GAIN PASSIVE RESEARCH DATA & CASUAL SINGLEPLAYER STRIKE TEAMS - Duration: 3:46.

In this video, we will briefly cover the extra ways to gain some Milky Way research consistently

as well as all 3 research data types casually from your strike teams,

<title: Passive Research and Loot>

Research Data is definitely a limiting factor in Mass Effect Andromeda, you try out a weapon

and after a bit, you realise it's not really for you, but unfortunately, you spent a few

hundred research data on it and are now a little bit too low to get another to your

level.

Well while these extra won't just magically solve this issue, it will make it a lot easier.

One of the 2 main passive ways to gain consistent research data is through cryo pods,

2 of them to be exact,

Lab Technicians, which will give you 100 Milky Way research every 45 minutes, this builds

up quite quickly,

you may think that you won't be on the ship all that often, but there is a neat little

trick which I personally don't consider a glitch or exploit, this is for PC users only

I should add,

If you minimise the game while on the AVP screen, the game doesn't pause it and the

timer will continue to countdown, so that's handy, especially if like me you are constantly

popping in and out to check things and look things up.

The second cryo pod is Accelerated Research, this pod reduces the time it takes to get

those points, this pod is not initially on your screen and should be unlocked when you

start Havarl and requires Havarl to have 70% viability.

In all honesty, considering how good some of the later pods that are unlocked are, the

second research data giving pod isn't all that important, the 45 minutes is short enough

for general gameplay.

<title: Strike Teams>

Now, strike teams are like many things in Mass Effect Andromeda,

a bit of a mystery when you first see them, they are tied to multiplayer but this will

only cover the single player aspect.

I do my bare minimum effort as far as strike teams but I get fantastic rewards from them

in single player.

Let me know in the comments if you'd like a full, in-depth guide on the strike teams

and I'll sort that out after the Weapon and Armor Field Test and Showcase videos.

But for now, the bare minimum is to open up the menu, you will by default be on the middle

of 3 tabs,

Left tab is your Strike Teams, in this menu, you can buy new ones with mission funds that

you earn from completing strike team missions, but you can also permanently retire a team

or power one up with a new trait.

For casual passive singleplayer strike team play you only really need to go there to buy

teams at the beginning.

Your second team will cost 40 funds all after that will go up in increments of 40.

It should be noted that retiring a team doesn't make it 40 cheaper to buy the next.

So back to the middle tab,

There are 2 types of mission, and each mission type has a bronze, silver or gold rating,

there's normal and Apex,

Apex are the hardest and give the best rewards, they are also playable in multiplayer.

My method is to simply click through all the Apex missions to find one I have a high percentage

on, and start that, anything under 50% ill leave for the moment and go through the normal

missions.

I basically ignore the actual rewards it states as if you do them often you damn near run

out anyway.

So just count through them sending your teams off on the high percentage missions until

you run out of teams,

come back in a few hours, see if they were successful and send them out again in the

same manner.

This way, it requires almost no effort or attention and you'll win most of them and

gain a surprisingly high amount of research data, weapons, minerals, I got 16 Eiroch Sacs

from one box the other day.

So every time you check back in with the tempest, collect your 100 milky way research and quickly

sort your strike teams and you'll be surprised just how quickly it all builds up.

For those curious where the hell the Weapon & Armor videos are, don't worry, they will

be back very soon, I'm currently away and will be back on the 14th of April at which

point I will test and edit my little heart out.

Thanks for watching folks, like if you liked, dislike if you didn't, subscribe if you haven't

already and have an awesome day

1986-2014 Mustang GT, Mach 1, GT500, Cobra, V6 Ford Performance Differential Cover - 8.8" Review - Duration: 5:37.

Hey, guys, Adam here with americanmuscle.com.

Today, I'm bringing you a quick overview and installation of the Ford Performance Differential

Cover, fitting all 1986 to 2014 Mustangs, with the 8.8 rear end.

In this video, I'll be going over the styling, appearance, functionality, and the benefits

of this differential cover from Ford Performance, as well as all the materials and construction

that go into it.

I'll top the video off with the installation and let you know upfront here, it's a very

direct bolt on install, so it will get a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

The Ford Performance Differential Cover you see here today will be for any '86 to 2014

Mustang with the 8.8 inch rear end of course.

This one offers a low-profile design while offering added support and strength to your

bearing cap and your differential, which reduces any deflection and torsion while allowing

a better cooling capacity.

Now, this one is gonna be more on the expensive side of things, as compared to some of the

other options we offer.

This one comes in just shy of the $200 mark, but it will be the most functional and beneficial

out of the group.

The other options include a Scott Drake which doesn't allow for it to work with any 4.10

or steeper gears and the other option would be Holley, which obviously is just more geared

toward appearance and won't come with all the functionality and benefits of the Ford

Performance.

This differential cover from Ford Performance is gonna be beneficial in a couple of different

ways.

Now, the first one I wanna talk about is what you would think would be strictly appearance,

but the design alone is actually gonna be beneficial for the cooling capacity, which

can help extend the life of your ring and pinion gears.

If the gear oil in the differential would get too hot, the viscosity change would actually

be pretty dramatic in causing some damage, which would leave you in need of some repairs.

Now, if you've already gone through that issue and you're in the process of changing your

gears, or you're going to in the near future, it's a perfect time to pick up this differential

cover from Ford Performance to prevent it from happening in the future again.

Since your factory diff cover is gonna be off, it's a great time to make the swap.

Another big factor that comes into play is if your Mustang has a higher torque rating

than the average Joe.

Now, if that is the case, then you're putting a lot more strain on the differential, especially

during hard launches or at the track.

Now, with that being said, this differential cover from Ford Performance is going to be

a stronger and more lightweight option that can reduce the side load bearing deflection

and torsion that I mentioned a little bit ago.

Now, with the swap of that to this option, it's definitely gonna give you some peace

of mind in the future, knowing you have that extra support on the factory diff.

As far as materials and construction goes, this one was manufactured out of a 356 T6

cast aluminum, which is a higher quality and more lightweight than the factory option.

Now, the fins you see here are actually going to perform as heat sinks, while also adding

some reinforcement, along with the two center bolts you see right here.

Now, along with that, you see the Ford Racing logo engraved right into the castings in the

middle.

Which offers that low-profile design, enough to cover all stock and most aftermarket Panhard

bars and sway bars, which some of the other options on the site may not be able to boast,

which I wanna point out here.

If you wanted to pick this one up for yourself, you'd get the cover right here from Ford Performance,

as well as one of these paper gaskets, and then, of course, the stainless steel hardware

included in the kit.

All that would be yours for just shy of the $200 mark, which, like I said earlier, makes

this one a little bit more expensive than the others we offer, but it is more functional

and beneficial.

Just to repeat myself again, the other options out there may not clear 4.10 or steeper gears,

and some of them are just for the aesthetics.

In my personal opinion, I do wanna say that I think a diff cover should be all about the

cooling capacity, the functions, you know, the strength reinforcement for the diff, and

maybe not so much about the appearance.

But it all depends on your personal preference, if that's what you're after, there's other

options out there.

But in my opinion, this one's gonna be the most bang for your buck, not to sound too

cheesy, but it does offer the most as far as function and benefits.

Shifting over to the install portion of the video, like I said in the very beginning,

it will get a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter, shouldn't take you much

longer than an hour to get this one on since it is a pretty direct swap.

Now, one thing you will have to have on deck is the gear oil to replace it once you're

draining the factory one out, that one obviously is sold separately.

But all together, simple ratchet and socket set will do the trick, some gear oil, and

then everything that comes in this kit.

So, start to finish, one hour and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.

So, once you get down to business, just pop the car up into the air with a jack and jack

stands, or if you have a lift, obviously makes life a lot easier.

You wanna have a drain pan handy because of the little bit of a mess it's gonna leave

behind of course.

And removing the factory diff cover is a piece of cake.

Some guys might find it easier to drop the factory or aftermarket Panhard bar out of

the way, just to have a little bit more wrench room, but that's up to you.

After all, once you get the factory diff cover out of place, you wanna clean up the area

of the factory gasket and prepare to put on the new one.

It's up to you whether you wanna use the paper one provided from Ford Performance or if you

wanna use a silicone sealant, obviously, personal preference.

Once that's taken care of and you have the new diff cover up into place, bolt down the

edging bolts 225 foot-pounds, and then the two load bolts in the center to 5 foot-pounds.

After that's taken care of, remove the drain plug and fill it up with the gear oil of your

choosing, and then you're good to go.

Overall, I would say one hour on the install and a one out of three wrenches on our difficulty

meter.

Just to wrap it up, if you're the owner of an '86 all the way up to '14 Mustang with

an 8.8 rear end, you might be looking for some added support and reinforcement for your

factory differential to remove any deflection and torsion, while also adding some cooling

capacity.

Now, if that sounds like you, you might wanna check out the Ford Performance differential

cover which is available right here at americanmuscle.com.

How to Cook Protein in Bulk - Chicken & Beef Meal Prep / Cocer Proteína en Grandes Cantidades - Duration: 11:38.

what's going on y'all and welcome back

to the fit men cook kitchen today's video

is going to be a little bit different it

is going to be a step-by-step

walkthrough video it's one of those

how-to videos i haven't done one of

these in a long time and with all other

recipe writing that I've been doing for

my new book I've just been inspired to

come back and talk to you all about some

topics that y'all have been asking me

about but also things that have been on

my heart about meal prep and healthy

eating about two or three years ago I

posted this picture arms on Instagram

and I said this is what I do to my

chicken so I can have some variety

throughout the week I woke up the next

morning and and one night had about

40,000 hits and then by the second day

it had over a hundred thousand hit so as

I've been writing this book I realized

that this picture has been shared

thousands of times across the web it's

been in many news articles but I've

really never talked about the origin of

that or why I do that for meal prep so

today I want to take a few moments to

talk about cooking protein in both now

this video is not going to deal with

seafood I think seafood deserves its own

video in this video I'm only going to be

addressing poultry and beef if you're a

vegan or vegetarian I do think there are

some implications for you in this video

and i encourage you to stick around as

well now this video deals with what i

like to call exact meal prepping or

calorie counting it's basically having a

better idea or an accurate measurement

of how many calories and macronutrients

are in each portion of food do I have to

calorie count in order to lose weight no

but is calorie counting helpful yes it

is and if you have never done this

before if you never wait out your foods

and I do encourage you to do that

because it helps to build what i like to

call your kitchen IQ because it helps

you to better understand portions and

measurements as being able to I ball

something and knowing that okay this is

actually one cup of food it's not to cut

its being able to know that this one

tablespoon of peanut butter is not

exactly the same three or four

tablespoons that as normal

putting on too much damage I do have to

say that the first time you do it it

takes a little bit longer just like in

the gym when you're lifting which for

the first time you're incredibly store

but the next time you go and do that

workout even though it's challenging it

gets a little bit easier and that's how

it is in the kitchen this video is much

less about the recipes and much more

about the process so you can make the

meal prepping process much easier and

relevant for you so you can accomplish

your goals much easier and faster if you

are ready to roll up your sleeve then

let's get started first we're going to

start out with cooking ground meat now

i'll be using lean ground beef for this

video but feel free to use whatever

you'd like there are several ways to

cook ground beef but for calorie

counting I found the most success with

cooking patties and meatballs I prefer

the meatballs over the patties because

smaller cook pieces of meat whenever

they are measured out appropriately they

are easier to cook they're easier to

transport they're easier to eat because

they're much smaller and they're easier

to portion out first thing I'm going to

do is I'm going to add a bowl to a food

scale and I'm going to zero it out now

this will allow me to know the weight of

all of the ingredients including any

additions that I add in there such as

chops bases so I'm going to toss in the

linger on beef a little bit of bell

pepper some green onions some garlic

smoked paprika some onion powder cumin

and time and then a little sea salt and

pepper once I add all the ingredients

I'm going to write down how much it

weighs and then i'm going to divide that

by the number of days and i'm prepping

for so 45 days this came out to be a

little bit over 7 ounces per day so i'm

going to take this off the scale and mix

everything together really well and then

i'm going to start to form the meatball

so it's about 7 ounces each day i

figured it if i make some meatballs

between two and two and a quarter ounces

but no more is met then i can stretch

this to go about six days and still meet

my goal of having six ounces of meat per

day so i'm going to scoop out a portion

of the meat i'm going to weigh it make

sure it meets the goal then roll it up

then I'm going to add it to a mini

muffin pan I like cooking them in the

muffin pan because I like to keep the

meat separate the meat is able to cook

in its own juices and it also keeps the

the meatballs somewhat uniform it keeps

them round I also find that the smaller

pieces of meat cook much faster in the

muffin tins because it's surrounded by

metal so it speeds up the entire cooking

process I'm going to place this in the

oven at 424 10 to 12 minutes if you want

you can roll it for the last two minutes

but no more than that because you don't

want to over cook the beef which leads

to struggle protein or struggle beef and to

take it out and it's done after 10 to 12

minutes do a quick taste test and you

can see just how fast and how thorough

the cooking process is toss this into a

skillet full of marinara and quickly

have some round meatballs or you can

break them up over a salad and one more

plus I really like this idea for family

a solid two ounce piece of protein is a

great size for a kid so these can be

great after school snacks or just great

for dinner time next we're going to move

on to the poultry aka chicken besides

overcooking people always complain about

the lack of variety well here's one way

that I cooks chicken in bulk to have a

bunch of variety first thing we're going

to do I'm gonna take a chicken breast

we're going to trim off the fat and then

we're going to chop the chicken up into

small pieces about the size of a nickel

cutting the chicken up smaller allows

for faster cooking time but also for

easier consumption and easier

consumption is really important if you

tend to over cook your chicken and it

comes out dry the smaller pieces are

much easier to chew on if you have if

you end up having struggle chicken then

those big thick pieces now one of the

most important steps that people forget

to do whenever they are baking chicken

and bolts is to Pat it dry this is

especially important if you are using

frozen chicken breast besides padding

dry you should also let it sit on a

paper towel for a few moments and let

all of that water come out of it have

you ever season your chicken and then

cook it in a skillet and there's just so

much water in the pan that all the

seasoning that you put on the chicken

has now just come off and so your

chicken comes out looking really white

but it's good part of that is that the

chicken has been enhanced with pollution

there's so much water in it after you

chop it up or even before you chop it up

at that chicken dry very well

and no this will not dry out the chicken

what drives out your chicken is

overcooking it now once it's dry and you

top it up we're going to add that

chicken to a bowl on a scale same

process as before this time we're only

going to add the generic seasoning that

all your chicken should have so for me

that's generally only onion powder and

garlic powder this is your face season

add a little bit of onion powder maybe a

little bit of garlic I'm going to take

down the measurement and then i'm going

to divide this into three now i'm just

using three because i'm going to make

three different types of meat if you

want to have to then divide that by two

you want to have for whatever do you

once we get the measurement then we're

going to divvy it out equally so that we

know how much is in each Bowl so for the

first one i add it in some chili powder

some cumin and fresh cilantro for the

next one i added in some Chinese five

spice blend a little Bragg's Liquid

aminos or some low-sodium soy sauce and

the little sesame oil and lastly when it

comes to sauces I like to add a little

bit of arrowroot starch to both the

chicken and to the sauce this helps the

sauce to stay on the chicken as it's

baking now arrowroot starch is a

thickener and it's activated under heat

so as it heats up and it bakes is going

to get thicker and coat the chicken I

found the most successful in baking to

add a little bit like a better teaspoon

to the chicken and then a teaspoon to

the saw so first what we're going to do

so I'm going to add in a little bit air

with starch sprinkle it on and then mix

it up really well then in a separate

bowl I'm going to make myself so I put

in some Dijon mustard a little bit of

future and then agave I'm going to mix

that up then I'm going to add another

teaspoon of the arrowroot starch for

that over the chicken mix everything

together now with the chicken seasoned

let's go to our pans first we're going

to get a baking sheet I'm going to get

some aluminum foil now before people

start posting below in the comments

section and informing me about the

health risk and health concerns about

aluminum foil I am fully aware of a lot

of the studies showing that under

intense heat aluminum can begin to seep

into your foods and there are associated

health risks with that that it whenever

possible you should use glasses use

parchment paper

for this particular exercise and making

this pan it is much easier with aluminum foil

so we're going to spread a sheet of

aluminum foil over a pan and then we're

going to tuck in the sides and then in

the middle of it what we're going to do

is we're going to create three semi

equally sized rectangles by pinching the

foil together and by pinching the foil

we're going to create a ridge or a

barrier and this will prevent juices

from the chicken adjacent to it from

flowing into the other one you're going

to take two smaller pieces and make that

Ridge a little bit bigger so that way as

it cooks and expand not going to fill

over now let's add the chicken to the

individual places spread it out very

well this will help to reduce the

cooking time and also prevents the

chicken from cooking together and

sticking together so you don't want to

overload it with two months I think for

each rectangle I have about one pound of

chicken we're going to garnish one last

time and because these are really small

pieces of chicken this is actually going

to cook much faster you're going to set

the oven to about 420 and cook this for

12 to 15 minutes I know that many of you

are thinking oh wait no there's no way

to can can be done in 15 minutes

actually it can remember the chicken is

much smaller and it's spread out on the pan

whenever you are adding chicken to a

meal now it is much easier to actually

measure out four ounces or five ounces

because once you put it onto the scale

we're just adding in little bite-size

pieces so you can better arrive at the

accurate amounts that you are trying to

meet for each meal and lastly this

bite-size chicken is very easy to

incorporate and leftover recipes because

they're so bite-sized you can mash this

up and have a chicken salad like in my

last video that i showed you could also

add this to a frittata so just imagine

putting them into a skillet and then

pouring them some eggs and then baking

that in the oven with a little bit of

cheese you could even buy some chicken

broth get your leftover veggies and

create and chicken soup the

possibilities are endless they're really

easy to incorporate at the end of the

week that's also good news for you

because you're not wasting your money

but we're also reducing food waste

that's it for today's video guys I hope

that you all enjoyed it and that you

found it helpful if you did find it

helpful I want you to hit that like

below with a deadly uppercut and also

share it with a friend that could use

some tips on meal prepping comment below

and share your best tip for cooking

protein in bulk it can be either about

poultry and beef or even about sea food I

know we didn't get to it today but if

you got some tips from that I want you

all to share it below I'm going to be

going into much more depth and

specificity in my upcoming book about

meal prep so just know that more is

definitely on the way alright guys I

appreciate y'all watching until next

time I want to keep it healthy but of

course never ever bored BOOM! bye for now

2017 Honda Civic Si Review: First Impressions - Duration: 2:12.

after skipping the 2016 model year the

honda civic SI is back in honda calls it

its best handling most agile SI yet

designed for the everyday enthusiast now

that there's a fire-breathing civic

type-r for the hardcore enthusiasts the

SI comes as a sedan or coupe we're here

at the Auto Show with the coop obviously

let's take a look at what differentiates

it from the regular civic coupe the

biggest difference is these large air

intakes along the side here they're

actually decorative they don't actually

send in any air there's a little opening

here on the passenger side the Honda

actually tells us that that's for the

horn that's for safety reasons so you

can hear the horn it doesn't actually

function as sort of an air intake area

come around the side their unique

18-inch alloy wheels on the SI and in

back some very unmistakable huge first

off this giant spoiler that sit atop the

dyrdek here differentiates this from the

regular civic coupe and the center

mounted tailpipes there's two of them

here but there's this big old opening

year that kind of just fans out to each

side now come around inside you've got

sports seats 1 p sport seats here in vsi

and a short-throw six-speed manual

transmission right there pretty good

setup and you come around to what's

under the hood which is probably what

you've all been waiting for and it's a

version of the civics 1.5 liter turbo

four-cylinder available in the regular

car here it makes 205 horsepower 192

pounds feet of torque that's 31 more

horsepower 25 more pounds-feet of torque

versus the regular honda civic with is

1.5 liter turbo 4-cylinder that's not

all there's big 12 and a half inch

brakes disc brakes up front for the

front wheels and an adaptive suspension

pretty advanced technology for a Honda

Civic even if it's the civic SI

obviously drivers can set it to regular

or sporty modes so plenty to look

forward to the SI goes on sale in May

2017 starting price should be somewhere

Alan Watts - Escape The Brain Wash By Meditation - Duration: 24:50.

the function of a Zen teacher is to put

his students in all kinds of situations

where in the normal course of social

relations they would get stuck by asking

nonsensical questions by making absurd

remarks by or always of unhinging things

and above all keeping them stirred up

with impossible demands to hear the

sound of one hand to without moving stop

a ship sailing out on the water or to

stop the sound of a train whistle in the

distance magic to touch the ceiling

without getting up from monks chair to

take the four divisions of Tokyo out of

your sleeve to take Mount Fuji out of a

pillbox all these impossible questions

are asked and in the ordinary way of

interpreting these questions we think

well now see how could we do that see

that's very difficult question that's

been asked and you have to think that

would I do to do that because we have

caught up in a certain way of discourse

which the language game that we play and

the social games the production games

and the survival games that we play our

good games but we take them so seriously

that we think that that is the only

important thing and this is to unstick

us from that notion and realize that it

would be just as good a game to drop

dead now as to go on living is a

lightning flash bad because it lives for

a second as compared with the Sun that

goes on for billions of years

you can't make that sort of comparison

because the world is like ningoz also

with the world rebels of sun and vice

versa so long live creatures and

short-lived creatures go together that's

the meaning of that saying flowering

branches grow naturally some short some

long so this n is a scene in in a zend

community where the spontaneous behavior

is encouraged within certain limits and

as the student becomes more and more

used to it those limits are expanded

until eventually he can be trusted to go

out on the street and behave like a true

Zen character and get by perfectly well

you know what occasionally happens on

the street when two people are walking

down the sidewalk straight at each other

and they both decide to move to the

right together and then to the left

together and they somehow get stuff they

can't pass each other then teachers will

pull just exactly that sort of stunt

when going down a path and meet one of

their students to see if they can get

him in a tangle and can you escape from

it and you will find in everyday life

that there is a very clear distinction

between people who always seem to be

self-possessed and people who did the

ring and nervous and don't quite know

how to react in any given situation

always getting embarrassed because they

have their life to strongly programmed

you said I mean this is a common

marriage argument you said you would do

such and such a thing as such and such a

time and now you've changed your plans

not that they really a change of plans

really caused any inconvenience but just

the feeling that when you say you will

do something at a certain time you ought

to do it at that time come hell or high

water

but that's being very unadapted that's

being a stone kind of sticky thing if it

after all doesn't matter when we do it

and as somebody is offended because the

time can change that simply because they

are attached to punctuality as a fetish

and this is one of the great problems

this is causes many automobile accidents

men rushing home to be on time for

dinner when they stayed late either

working or they had to stop for a drink

at some bar or when the girl feels that

she has to if she has a fussy husband

and she feels she has to have the dinner

ready at exactly a certain moment she

ruins the cooking you'd rather have a

faithful wife and a bad cook I've I'm

not ready one on your toes so you see we

spend an awful lot of energy trying to

make our lives fit images of what life

is or should be which they could never

possibly sit so Zen practice is in

getting rid of these images but it's

it's so explosive socially to do that

and it's so worries people they get

vertigo they get dizzy they don't know

which end is up and this happens you

know if you've ever been in one of those

blab blab sessions where they call them

t groups I think or something like that

where the people gather together without

any clear idea of what this gathering is

about they know it's somehow self

exploration but just how do you begin on

that and so somebody starts to push his

idea and then somebody else says well

why you tried to push your idea on us

and then they all get into an argument

about the argument and the most amazing

confusions come about but sometimes they

all see what idiots they're being and

then they learn to live together in a

really open spawn

way there was a very interesting dinner

party once where the Zen master was

present and there was a geisha girl who

served so beautifully and had such style

that he suspected she must have some Zen

training and after a while he when she

paused to fill his sake cup he bowed to

her and said I'd like to give you a

prison and she said I would be most

honored and he took the iron chopsticks

that are used for the hibachi the

charcoal brazier I'm moving the charcoal

around he picked up a piece of red hot

charcoal and gave it to her well she

instantly she had very long sleeves on

her kimono she weld the sleeves round

her hands and took the hot choco

withdrew to the kitchen dump it and

changed her kimono because it was burnt

through then she came back into the room

and after a suitable interval she

stopped before the Zen master and bowed

to him and said I would like to give you

sir he said I would be very much honored

of course he was wearing a kimono

something like this and so she picked up

a piece of coal and offered it to him he

immediately produced a cigarette and

said thank you that's just what I needed

now you know in the same way that we

have this in our culture certain people

who are communal who know how to make

jokes and gags in a completely

unprepared situation face them with

anything and they somehow come through

so that is exactly the same thing in a

special domain as then only a master of

them does this in every life situation

but the important thing is to be able to

do this this is the secret you must

remember

you can't make a mistake now that's a

very difficult thing to do to cause from

childhood up we have had to conform to a

certain social game and if your go to

conform to this game you can make

mistakes or not make mistakes so this

thing has gone into it all the time you

must do the right thing there's certain

conduct appropriate here certain comic

appropriate there and that sticks in us

and gives us a double self all our lives

long because we never go up do you

realize that the whole of life plays a

game which is a childhood game if there

are three kinds of people top people

middle people of bottom people and there

can't be any middle people unless that

our bottom people and top people there

can't be any top people unless the

middle and bottom people and so it goes

and everybody's trying to be in a top

set well if we're going to be there has

got to be someone and a bottom set and

the people who do the right thing and

people who do the wrong thing here in

sausalito we have this very very plainly

there are the right people nice people

who live up on the hill then there are

the nasty people who live down here on

the waterfront and they grow beards and

they wear blue jeans and they smoke

marijuana and whereas the other people

on the top and he'll Drive Cadillacs and

have wall-to-wall carpeting and nicely

mowed lawns and their particular kind of

poison is alcohol now the people who

live on the top of the hill know that

they're nice people but they wouldn't

know they were nice people unless they

had some nasty people to compare

themselves with

every in group requires an output

whereas the nasty people think they are

the real far out people whereas those

people those Hillbillies and squares and

they wouldn't be able to feel far out

unless there were squares see these

things simply go together but when that

is not seen we play the games of getting

on top of things all the time and so

we're in a constant state of competition

as to if it's not I'm stronger than you

it's I'm wiser than you I'm more loving

than you I'm more tolerant than you I'm

more sophisticated than you it doesn't

matter what it is but this constant

competition is going on in terms of that

competition we can of course lose place

and in that sense make mistakes but what

is n student is is a person who is not

involved in the status game that's the

real meaning of a monk is not keeping up

with the Joneses and to be a master he

must get to the point where he's not

trying to be a master the whole idea of

your you're being better than anybody

else simply doesn't make any sense at

all it is totally meaningless because

you see everybody manifesting the Marvel

of the universe in the same way as the

stars do and the water and the winds and

the animals and you see them all as

being in their right places and not

being able really to make mistakes

although they may think they're making

mistakes or not making mistakes and

playing all these competitive games but

that's their game now i only say if that

game begins to boil and it begins to

trouble you and give you hours and

all kinds of things then you raise the

problem of getting out of it and

therefore you start to become interested

in things like then that is simply a

symptom of your growing in a certain

direction where you are tired of playing

a certain kind of game you are as

naturally flowing in another direction

as if a tree were putting out a new

branch so because you say oh well we

people are interested in higher things

you see that depends still on the

differentiation of rank between the

superior and the inferior people but

when you begin to see through that and

grow out of that you don't think any

more of this superior and inferior

classification you don't think we are

spiritual people who attend to higher

things as distinct from these morons are

only interested in beer and television

this is simply our particular form of

life like there are crabs and there are

spiders and there are sharks and there

are sparrows and so on the trouble with

the human being is like the trouble with

certain animals like the dinosaur who

evolved to the point where he was so big

did he have to have two brains a higher

self in the head and a lower self in the

rump and the difficulty was to get these

two brains coordinated but we have

exactly the same trouble and we are

suffering from a kind of jitters that

comes from being too brained now you see

I'm not saying that that justice is bad

it's a potential step in evolution and

an opportunity of growth but remember in

the process of growth the oak is not

better than the Acorn because what does

it do it produces acorns

or you could say just I like I sometimes

love to say that a chicken is one eggs

way of becoming others so an oak is an

acorn sway of becoming other acorns

where is the point of superiority the

first verse of that time I just quoted

the flowering branches grow naturally

some short some long the first verse is

in the landscape of spring there is

nothing superior and nothing inferior

the flowering branches are naturally

some shorts and long so that's the point

of view of being an outcast in the sense

of being outside the taking seriously of

being involved in the social game and

therefore being threatened by making

mistakes of doing the wrong thing that

is to say of carrying into adult life

one's childhood conditioning where

somebody is constantly yammering at you

to play the game so therefore the

preachers and the teachers take the same

attitude towards their adult

congregations the parents take two

children and lecture them and tell them

what they should do and judges in courts

feel also entitled to give people

lectures because they say those criminal

types haven't grown up but neither have

the judges it takes two to make a

quarrel so one can begin to think in a

new way in the polarity thinking instead

of being stuck with the competitive

thinking of the good guys and the bad

guys the cops of the rubbers the

capitalists and the Communists the all

these things which are simply

childishness

now of course you recognize that if I

the moment I say that it's like talking

in English in order to show that the

English language has limitations and i

am talking in a language that seems

competitive to show that the competitive

game has limitations as if i was saying

to all you cats here look I have

something to tell you that if you get

this you'll be at a better position than

you were before you heard it but I

cannot speak to this group of the

society or this language speaking

culture without using the language the

gestures the customs etc that you have

the Zen masters try to get around this

by doing things suddenly that people

just don't get well what is this

therefore that is the reason why this is

the real reason why then cannot be

explained you have to make as it were a

jump from the valuation game of better

people and worse people in groups and

out groups and you can only make it by

seeing that they all are mutually

interdependent so if we take this

situation let's say I would be talking

to you and saying look I have some very

special thing that you've got to take

notice of therefore i am the in-group

and I'm the teacher and you are the out

group I know perfectly well that I

cannot be the teacher unless you come

here and so that my status in my

position is totally dependent on you it

isn't something you see therefore I have

first and then you get these things

arise mutually

so if you wouldn't come I wouldn't talk

I wouldn't know what to say hahaha

because I borrowed your language so that

that is the insight that things go

together then when you see that and

aren't in competition then you don't

make a mistake because you don't dither

when I first love the piano and play

these wretched scales the teacher beside

me add a pencil in my hand and she hit

my fingers every time I made a lot wrong

note consequent was I never learned to

read music because I hesitated to long

to play the note on time because I was

always businesses pencil gonna land see

that gets built into your psyche and so

people are always although they're

adults and nobody is clubbing them

around and screaming at the mini lambda

they hear the echoes of that screaming

mama all that bombinating Papa in the

back of their heads all their life long

and so they adopt the same attitudes to

their own children and the fast

continues because there is no I mean I

don't say that you shouldn't lay down

the law to children if you want them to

play the social game but you if you lay

down the Lord your children you must

make provision later in life for them to

be liberated to go through a process of

curing them from the bad effects of

education but you can't do that unless

you to grow up you see as we grow up as

I including myself

so that is the fig now therefore in the

Zen seen you would think that the master

as we know him and as we read about him

is an extremely authoritarian figure

that's the way he deliberately comes on

at the beginning he puts up a terrific

show of being an awful dragon and this

screams out all sorts of people who

don't have somehow the nerve to get into

the work but once you are in a very

strange change takes place the master

becomes the brother he becomes the

affectionate helper of all those

students and they loved him as they

would a brother rather than respect him

as they would have father and therefore

the students and masters they make jokes

about each other they have a very

curious kind of social relationship

which as all the outward trappings of

the authoritarian but everybody knows on

the inside that that's a joke liberated

people have to be very cool otherwise in

a society which doesn't believe in

equality and cannot possibly practice it

they would be considered extremely

subversive therefore great Zen masters

were purple and gold and carries

scepters and sitting Thrones and all

this carried on to cool it the outside

world knows are there alright then this

has been that order they're perfect if

I'm out of your mind now continues with

the next lecture

the world has just so lecture series

you
