Tatort - Learn Intermediate German for B1/B2 #12 - Deutsch lernen - Duration: 4:07.

While Paula Ringelhahn with Wanda Goldwasser and Sebastian Fleischer take up the case of an arson at a refugee accommodation in Bamberg,

Felix Voss is still on his flight back from Caucasus.

Because no one at the crime scene knows him, he gets the idea to work undercover.

As a Chechen refugee he tries to build contacts in the home.

The suspicion exists that someone prevented the victim Neyla Mafany on her escape of the burning church.

Carefully, Voss gets closer to Said Gashi, who is in charge of the refugees.

With the young Syrian Basem he soon puts together more:

Basem confides in him and doesn't know that he isn't the one that he is pretending to be.

A case of being foreign and the deepest wish of safety in life.

Cool music.

What? Herr Antrim is reading detective stories in his videos now?

No. That was the summary of the episode of Tatort that ran on Sunday.

Almost every week #tatort is under "Trends" on Twitter. What is that and why is it so popular?

Tatort is the longest running and most popular detective series in the German speaking world.

The first episode aired in 1920. Every year there are around 35 episodes.

Every episode, which is about 90 minutes long is almost like an entire film and is produced by a public tv station.

Every tv station creates their own smaller series within the series "Tatort".

Every smaller series takes place in a large city in Germany,

Munich, Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologn, Leipzig, Ludwigshafen, Stuttgart, Münster and the Ruhr area cities, Essen und Duisburg.

It is similar in the USA with the series CSI.

There is CSI: Vegas, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York and CSI: Cyber.

What happens in an episode of Tatort?

Someone dies or loses their life or drowns

or gets stabbed, suffocated, shot, burned, poisoned, hanged, beheaded, driven over or somehow murdered.

The investigators follow the clues.

If there is a perpetrator, the investigators catch him or her or sometimes they don't.

Sometimes it isn't a murder and then there is also no perpetrator.

Maybe it was an accident or suicide. Of course there is also romance and drama.

In my opinion Tatort is special, because it has been running for so long and it is still popular.

Every Sunday evening the Germans watch the new episode

and on Monday morning they talk about it in the office if it was good or bad.

For me the episodes are a bit boring.

Maybe I am too used to the American series.

I need more action and more drama.

In case you haven't seen an episode of Tatort, you can find many episodes on YouTube.

One must simply type "Tatort ganze Folge" in the search bar.

If you add in a year, you can find new or older episodes.

The newest episodes are available on the website of "das Erste".

Unfortunately, this series is not for children under the age of 12.

Therefore you can only watch the newest episodes between 8 pm and 6 am,

because the youth protection law in Germany even protects the children in the internet.

On-the-Fly 3D Printing While Modeling | Two Minute Papers - Duration: 3:09.

Dear Fellow Scholars, this is Two Minute Papers with Károly Zsolnai-Fehér.

You are going to love this killer paper.

In the classical case of 3D fabrication, we first create a 3D geometry in our modeling

software on a computer.

Then, after we're done, we send this model to a 3D printer to create a physical copy

of it.

If we don't like an aspect of the printed model, we have to go back to the computer

and adjust accordingly.

If there are more fundamental issues, we may even have to start over.

And get this, with this piece of work, we can have a low-fidelity wireframe version

printed immediately as we make changes within the modeling software.

This process we can refer to as real-time or on-the-fly 3D printing.

In this work, both the hardware design and the algorithm that runs the printer is described.

This approach has a number of benefits, and of course, a huge set of challenges.

For instance, we can immediately see the result of our decisions, and can test whether a new

piece of equipment would correctly fit into the scene we're designing.

Sometimes, depending on the geometry of the final object, different jobs need to be reordered

to get a plan that is physically plausible to print.

In this example, the bottom branch was designed by the artist first, and the top branch afterwards,

but their order has to be changed, otherwise the bottom branch would block the way to the

top branch.

The algorithm recognizes these cases and reorders the printing jobs correctly.

Quite remarkable.

And, an alternative solution for rotating the object around for better reachability

is also demonstrated.

Because of the fact that the algorithm is capable of this sort of decisionmaking, we

don't even need to wait for the printer to finish a given step, and can remain focused

on the modeling process.

Also, the handle of the teapot here collides with the body - because of the limitations

of wireframe modeling, such cases have to be detected and omitted.

Connecting patches and adding differently sized holes to a model are also highly nontrivial

problems that are all addressed in the paper.

And this piece of work is also a testament to the potential of solutions where hardware

and software is designed with each other in mind.

I can only imagine how many work hours were put in this project until the final, working

solution was obtained.

Incredible work indeed.

We really just scratched the surface in this episode, make sure to go to the video description

and have a look at the paper for more details.

It's definitely worth it.

Also, if you enjoyed this Two Minute Papers episode, make sure to subscribe to the series

and if you're subscribed, click the bell icon to never miss an episode.

Thanks for watching and for your generous support, and I'll see you next time!

Rick Steves' European Easter: Holy Thursday in Italy - Duration: 2:48.

On Thursday of Holy Week,

the events of the Passion accelerate.

Jesus, whose ministry lasted just three years,

knows his destiny: betrayal, followed by execution.

Back in Italy's remote Marche region,

in the stony village of Cantiano,

Jesus' destiny is brought to life for all to see.

In the evening, the entire town participates

in a dramatic re-enactment of the Easter story,

retelling it as they have for centuries.

Townspeople consider it an honor

to play a part in this epic Biblical story.

On this night,

Jesus gathers his 12 apostles for their Last Supper.

Villagers and visitors alike are transfixed

as he tells his disciples, "One of you will betray me,"

and they respond, "Lord, is it I?"

With Good Friday only hours away,

Cantiano's church is dressed in mourning.

Crosses and artwork are covered, draped in purple,

representing the Passion.

Holy Thursday is one of the most sacred Masses

in the Catholic calendar,

full of ancient ritual and mysticism.

This day is also known as Maundy Thursday:

"Maundy" means "mandate,"

and refers to Jesus' new commandment.

On this day, according to the Bible,

he told his apostles,

"Love one another as I have loved you."

[ Priest speaking Italian ]

Jesus demonstrated this commandment at the last supper,

when he washed the feet of his disciples.

When a priest washes the feet of his parishioners,

he's reminding them of this mandate.

Doing this humble job,

customarily given to the lowliest servant,

illustrates the depth of Jesus' love

and the love he called others to show each other.

[ Speaking Italian ]

STEVES: This gesture is followed by the Eucharist.

Also called Holy Communion,

it symbolically re-enacts that last supper,

and is a reminder of the great sacrifice of the Crucifixion.

The bread and the wine are taken together by Christians

to remember the body and blood Christ gave

so they could be forgiven and saved in the eyes of God.

For Christians, this is the essence of the Easter story.

5 things to know before you start playing airsoft [ENG SUBS] German | Airsoft Austria - Duration: 1:51.

Hello and welcome to a new Nuke Airsoft ranking video

This time: 5 things I should have known at the beginning of my Airsoft career

5: All airsoft guns suck!

The way an AEG is constructed it has to break after extensive usage

Same goes for GBBs especially for the magazines

4: Airsoft can be f***ing expensive

If you want some descent gear €500 are gone way too fast

3: A shot to the balls hurts like hell

I'm talking from experience! There's even a video

2: Optics are overrated

Most of us aim with the trajectory of the BB

Now the most important thing:

Don't play illegally in the woods

Nowadays there are enough fields in Austria and Germany

We also have to take a two hour drive each time we go to play

Now to our wildcard

It can be pretty damn fun to get up at 4:30am

drive two hours to the field

play Airsoft for five hours straight

and then drive back two hours

we usually have most of the fun in the car anyways :)

*horrible german singing*
