Strada e pista (anche di traverso!) con la nuova Mazda MX-5 RF [ENG SUB] - Duration: 8:39.

Runners are very careful in choosing the right shoes. The same goes for...car tires.

Yes, because it is right from the very first touch of the road, either when we are running or driving,

that we get those typical sensations that make us feel good. But only if we are

in good shape, or if our car is not too heavy. Modern cars, in fact,

are able to isolate and filter the external environment. The Mazda MX-5, however, is light...

Also, in this new version with a rigid roof, the RF, which adds less than 50 Kilos on

the scale compared to the Roadster,

you can't even feel it while driving, and it also has that extra charm,

typical of Targa cars. I would describe the body of the car as transparent because

it makes you feel the unfiltered sensations transmitted from the tires to the driver. Also, the new Mazda

has a perfect rear-wheel drive

and weight distribution which enhances all what the tires

can give me.

And that's why, especially when it's time to switch from winter tires to summer tires, you need to know what kind of shoes, in quotes,

is best to choose for a car like this,

to enjoy it when you drive in sport mode. In the last years, tire manufacturers

have all been talking about UHP, which means Ultra High Performance: in this case

on the Mazda MX-5 we have mounted the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 tires,

one of the most recent models in the category, so, for this test, I have decided to really

put my foot down!

You might be thinking that in a circuit like the one of

Vallelunga, it would be better to drive a supercar.

But those who often do track days know that the most important thing to have fun is a light car.

On the track, in fact, brakes and tires generally suffer first. But the Mazda MX-5, in real life, weighs under 1100 Kilos so it does not stress the

brakes much when pushed to the limit, and it works well on the tires which,

considering their medium size, are not too expensive when you have to change them.

That's something to have more fun with, because

when you drive, even excessively, a sports car with medium-size tires

you know it won't cost you a fortune when you have to replace

them, as well as the breaks and, in general, all the parts that wear down

when you drive in a sport mode. And enjoying your car to the limit

without worrying too much about the costs

makes a big difference.

And then, light sports cars are better to drive because

they make you feel exactly how the weight shifts; that is,

they make you feel the load transfers of which

you hear so much

among the fans. When making a corner exit

you feel exactly the moment when the car is leaning to

the rear suspensions, compressing them and vertically loading the rear tires which, therefore, have more grip.

Whereas upon breaking, it is the other way around: weight transfers towards the front wheels

which can get more grip. Same thing on turns:

the rolling which increases the so-called vertical load of the tires on the external side reduces the grip on the internal side.

This is the theoretical explanation, but I assure you that the balance between the front wheels and the rear wheels of the new Mazda MX-5 is going to show you,

in practice, why it is great to not be so formal with the tires and feel these dynamic reactions!

The dissipation of heat, the accuracy of the high-speed directional changes,

and the tread blocks with their optimized rigidity

are the main features transferred in this tire, thanks to the committment

of Hankook during the DTM races of the German Touring Car Championship.

And since it is on the very track that you can perceive the limit of the tires,

even if we are not talking about specialized tires, like the semi-slick tires,

you can also learn to determine front wheel enlargement in fast turns,

and, obviously, using the rear-wheel drive with limited slip differential,

during steering in powerful skids which are so loved by the fans.

By driving on the track you become confident with the balance of the car

and you understand how the tires make you feel when you reach or

exceed the limit of grip. That's why when you go back to driving on

your favourite roads, you will enjoy each single curve more.

The Mazda MX-5 is also, in itself,

one of the most communicative cars on a mountain track

because it is not too long, or large, so it allows you to make the right trajectories

even on narrow roads, and it is still authentic on wet surfaces, thanks also to sporty

modern tires like the Hankook tires, which find their grip on

low-adhesion surfaces with the tread compound containing silica and the programmed deformations of the steel

structures of the the carcass.

And then the 2.0-litre 160 hp engine of the Mazda MX-5 has a contagious grit, also in terms of sound,

with its manual transmission which will make you emotional every time you use it.

A showstopper!

Accelerate, change gear, change down as you turn in.

With this sports car

you get into the swing without thinking, and this is where the drive

becomes a question of feeling bendings, rotations, and

small skiddings which the tires transmit

to the car, which then go straight to your body through the car seats, pedals, and the steering wheel.

It's a shame that the position of the Mazda MX-5 is not perfect for everyone because

the steering wheel cannot be adjusted for depth and the seat cannot be adjusted much for height.

There is also an intermediate function missing in the electronic traction and stability

control system in order to drive happily without having to disconnect all the systems.

A space for little objects is also lacking, and

there are no pockets in the panels or a glove compartment in front of the passenger seat.

The trunk, on the contrary, also in this Targa version,

is the same as the one in the Mazda MX-5 Roadster because the folding metal roof takes

the same amount of space as the one of the roof behind the seats, improving thermal insulation.

Whereas, the aerodynamic soundproofing does not differ much fom the fabric roof.

Consumptions are also changing compared to the Mazda MX-5 which we used to know.

On average, with a 2.0-litre engine, you can drive 11-12 km with a litre and

prices increase by about 2,500 euro. For the sport configuration like the one in this test,

you need no less than 33,000 euro, while with a 1.5 you start at least

from 28,000 euro.

Sportscar: this English word identifies those cars which are fun to drive on the road

and able to make you understand on the track what it means to drive to the limit. The same concept

also applies for the Ultra High Performance tires which the tire manufacturers

design in a dedicated way because, over the weekend, let's be honest, we fans

would do only one thing:

drive

Big Pharma Wants to Own Marijuana: They're Lobbying For Criminal Laws - Duration: 11:42.

The marijuana industry has a lot of enemies.

The tobacco industry wants cannabis out of the way because it hurt's their profits.

The private prison industry even lobbies against legalizing marijuana because it would reduce

the number of prisoners they receive each year.

Even billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson has donated millions to fight legalization

efforts across the country.

But one of the biggest enemies that the medical marijuana community is facing today is big

pharma.

The drug industry is terrified of medical marijuana because of what cannabis is able

to do for patients.

In 2012, the study by the American Medical Association of over 5,000 young adults, found

that occasional marijuana users actually performed better on lung tests than nonsmokers and cigarette

smokers.

Studies from the early 2000s have shown that cannabis can reduce the occurrence of epileptic

seizures and seizures from a very serious condition known as Dravet Syndrome.

It can relieve pain and reduce dependence on opioid pain killers.

It can help slow the progression of Alzheimer's.

It's been shown to be a possible treatment for veterans with PTSD and people suffering

from severe anxiety.

There are countless other conditions where medical marijuana has shown to be a remarkable

help for patients.

But for every condition that's treated with medical marijuana, a few more dollars are

diverted away from the pockets of big pharma CEOs and that's why they're spending big money

to legally stop states from legalizing cannabis.

It's a legal war.

The best example of how ruthless drug companies have become in their anti-marijuana pursuit

occurred in Arizona in the run up to the 2016 elections.

The state had a ballot initiative to legalize recreational marijuana and as election day

inched closer and closer, campaign records showed that a half a million dollars was suddenly

pumped into the anti-marijuana campaign in that state.

This money was shelled out by a company called INSYS Therapeutics.

INSYS makes a synthetic opioid pain killer called Subsys which is supposed to be almost

100 times more potent than morphine.

In fact, their drug is so strong that the DEA actually classified it as a Schedule II

narcotic, the same class as drugs like cocaine.

But ironically, classified below marijuana itself, which is a Schedule I drug.

But Subsys was only a small part of the bigger story.

The Arizona story is just a microcosm of the corporate assault on medical marijuana.

For more on this story, I'm joined with Justin Strekal, political director of the National

Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.

Justin, from what we've learned since the election, why do you think companies like

INSYS poured so much money into anti-legalization efforts in Arizona?

What was going on there?

Why?

It was all about money, but how was it all about money?

Well, there's two main reasons.

One is motive, which is the profit that the pharmaceutical companies stand to lose if

we see a proliferation in the legalization of marijuana.

And two is opportunity.

It's the fact that right now, pharmaceutical companies who stand driven by the profit motive,

are threatened by it.

So they will spend $500,000 against legalization in Arizona.

It's something that we've known for a number of years but now we're starting to see it

really amplified as the pressure to reform our marijuana laws comes to a head at the

national level.

Justin, that's a drop in the bucket.

500,000 compared to what they're spending that we don't know about, that's the real

issue.

INSYS argued during the campaign, we've seen this argument all over the country.

They argued during the campaign that legalization measures failed to protect Arizona's children.

It was children, children, children.

What's your response to that argument that we're hearing all across the nation?

Think of the children.

No, a lot of opponents of the legalization in Colorado said the same thing and we saw

no statistically significant increase in youth rates.

If anything, over the course of ... And again, it's a short amount of data that we have tracked

so far since legalization in Colorado but we've actually seen a decline amongst some

age brackets who are under 21.

So it's a strongman argument.

It's something, that again, prohibitionists for over 80 years now, have been saying, 'Think

of the children.'

It's been driven off of fear mongering, off of racism and xenophobia, and it's just another

tool in their kit as they try to oppress the rights of an individual to enjoy marijuana.

INSYS also manufactures Fentanyl.

It's a fentanyl-based drug.

A pain medication proven to be partially responsible for the opioid crisis by the way in the United

States.

If you were to track it, it is Fentanyl that is really the big problem.

But how does the battle over marijuana legalization play into this opioid crisis?

What's your take on it now?

What are the two spins or the several spins on this part of the story?

There's a lot of different pieces there.

We've seen Medicare Part D study that showed in medical marijuana states there was a dramatic

decrease of the number of prescriptions for opioids issued by doctors.

Just in February in Canada, a few universities put together a study that showed there was

64% decrease in the number of patients seeking treatment alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs

and they preferred cannabis.

The reason why they said they prefer cannabis, and of that 64%, 37% of the respondents said

they prefer cannabis to opioids because they felt it better managed their symptoms and

it gave them greater control to be able to ... For ingestion of their medication.

So let me take the legal aspect of it.

They're coming at the industry, the legalization industry of marijuana.

They're coming at it with a whole cadre of laws, but most of the laws they're manipulating

and they're doing a very good job lobbying to manipulate these laws, are taking place

from a standpoint of criminal effect.

I think that's what we're going to see more of.

Isn't it, now we've got a A.G. Sessions who wants to make this into a big, criminal story.

That's the way I see this developing.

What is your call on that?

I think there's one other thing that you have to consider and that's the proliferation of

medical marijuana at the state level and efforts to try to block herbal cannabis and the legal

ability for people to grown their own marijuana at home.

Just recently, the West Virginia state legislature had a very robust medical marijuana bill that

we supported, get a vote, and then it went to the state house.

There was strike amendment that replaced significant portions of the bill which then banned the

use of herbal cannabis and banned ... And struck out the ability for people to be able

to grow their own drugs.

It's just yet another way that ... Just as the pharmaceutical company recognizes the

threat to their bottom line and their ability to deliver to shareholders in the future,

given the current model, INSYS has recently been developing drugs as a THC alternative

that would be in the form of oils or pills, which they would be able to control.

So if we see medical marijuana bills getting passed, that don't include herbal cannabis,

that do not include the ability for people to grow it at home, it's essentially, locking

pharmaceutical companies into the market.

They recognize there is a way for them to profit off the legalization, but it has to

be tightly controlled.

That's something that we're seeing.

We saw similar efforts in Arkansas, in North Dakota-

Yeah, I'm just ... Justin, Justin, Justin.

Having handled every kind of iteration of pharmaceutical cases in the country.

I'm just telling you that probably, if I'm to guess, the way that they're going to keep

tapping away at it is coming through criminal types of sanctions.

That's what we're going to see more and more of, is this specially ... As big pharma understands

that they're losing a huge market.

They now have people that going to be using marijuana rather than some of the synthetic

garbage that the pharmaceutical industry's putting on the market.

So we're going to see this picking up more and more.

I guess you all are prepared for that.

I would think, normal is somebody that knows this is coming down the line and you probably

see it already happening.

What's your take?

And that gets to the second point of your previous question too which was about the

Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Jeff Sessions was a militant prohibitionist.

During the 80s, he advocated for the execution of repeat marijuana distributors.

Just as recently as last April, he said from his days at the senate that, 'Good people

do not smoke marijuana.'

So we do expect an increase posturing out of the administration and we are preparing

for what a federal crackdown would look like, but ...

Again, with marijuana, much of this is done at the state level and we haven't seen efforts,

with the exception of Tennessee this year, trying to re-criminalize the possession of

marijuana.

That's why when we're looking at these medical programs that are being established, we have

to consider what they define as marijuana, 'cause a lot of politicians want to take that

victory lap because it's 91% of the American people support medical marijuana.

Politicians want to be able to take that victory lap and pharmaceutical companies want to make

that money.

That's why they're instituting the ban on herbal cannabis and the ban on an individual's

ability to grow their own medicine so that way they can corner the market and have a

new monopoly and a new economy of synthetic marijuana.

Okay, we've watched the pharmaceutical industry corner that drug market year after year, president

after president, congress after congress.

I don't care whether it's Democrat or Republican, they are really there for the pharma industry

all of the time.

There's another part of this story I'm interested in a quick take on it.

The DEA.

Don't you have an infrastructure that's built into this whole process that somebody has

to preserve?

I mean, you have thousands of people working for drug enforcement organizations.

How does that jive with what's happening with medical marijuana or the legalization of marijuana?

In 2013, the Department of Justice issued what's known as the Coal Memo to deprioritized

marijuana enforcement with the exception of seven guidelines.

The seven guidelines included interstate transportation, the accessibility of marijuana to children,

and actors breaking state based regulations that the state put forward on the regulation

of either medical or recreational marijuana.

So we haven't actually seen a tremendous amount of federal enforcement.

The Heritage Foundation suggested using RICO suits going against people who are manufacturing,

who are distributing marijuana to medical patients and to recreational states.

That's the approach that we expect to see coming down.

All right.

Justin, thanks for joining us- Yeah, thank you.

You got a big fight ahead of you.

We think that there's a lot of momentum but the fight's really just begun.

We're working on it.

Thanks for joining me.

Hey, thank you.

Stained Glass Selfie Art with Kids | The Cynical Crafter | CBC Life - Duration: 3:51.

I've been invited by old elementary school to teach them how to make a craft.

[BUZZER]

Hello?

I'm here to do crafts.

I think we're going to need a little more than that

But I used to go here, I used to go to this school

Crafts.

Today we'll be making your own stained glass selfie art

Here's what you'll need

Transparent paper, a white sheet of paper, masking tape

Cotton swabs, a permanent marker and a black and white selfie

Of yourself.

Are you ready?

Let's get started.

Tape down, three sides

Of the transparent sheet

to your selfie

Don't be shy

Take your marker

[SNIFFS]

and trace around your face, you know the bigger shapes

Like if you have an eye, or perhaps a nose

How's everyones faces coming?

Good well you're very busy.

I'm sure you're very busy.

Does anyone have any questions about crafts, or my life in general?

Crafting isn't just doing things, it's a state of being

It's a state of mind.

You know, you're also crafting your heart

Crafting your mind, crafting your soul

[SCHOOL BELL]

As you know, crafting is something that you can take with you

Where's everyone... is it a fire?

I'll be here when you come back

And now you're going to take your selfie out from underneath the transparent sheet

And you're going to slide the white piece of paper, underneath.

We're going to begin painting in our selfie art

Okay now take your cotton swab, and you're just going to paint.

Paint it in very lightly.

Go ahead, you can begin everyone

What does everyone want to be when they grow up?

Something better than you

Ohhhhhhhh

You want to paint in nice, happy colours, you want express

think about school, think about how hard it was making friends

Think about how you graduated and ended up in high school with no clue what you wanted

to do when you grew up

Your best friend was the janitor

Then you go to college, what am I going to do?

Where am I going to get accepted?

Psychology degree?

Denied.

Huh?

Radio and television degree?

DENIED

Crafting degree?

Doesn't even exist

You take liberal arts

You say hey, four years maybe I can be a restaurant critic or something.

That doesn't work!

That doesn't work at all.

Restaurant critic.

When you're done, it'll look something like this

What does everyone think?

Children?

Children?

And now, it's time for me to grade your artwork.

B-O-R-I-N-G

And there you have it

Your very own DIY stained glass selfie art

What did we learn today class?

All art is meaningless.

Korean military to bolster combat capabilities by 2020 - Duration: 2:17.

The South Korean military plans to bolstering the nation's combat power by 2022.

Part of it involves injecting nearly 2-hundred-10 billion U.S. dollars to reinforce its defense

capabilities against imminent threats from up North.

Kim Hyo-sun introduces to us, the revised Mid-term National Defense Blueprint.

South Korea's Ministry of National Defense announced Friday its revised Mid-term National

Defense Blueprint,... which outlines key spending plans over the next five years.

It calls for strengthening the nation's combat capability against North Korea by early 2020,

through the establishment of a "three-axis system."

That refers to the Kill Chain pre-emptive strike system, the Korean Air and Missile

Defense... and the Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation strategy.

The timeline,... the ministry says,... has been shortened by several months.

Under the Kill Chain project, South Korea would pre-emptively strike Pyongyang's nuclear

and missile facilities in case of an imminent threat.

For that, the South Korean military will lease spy satellites from foreign countries as soon

as early next year,... and ultimately acquire five of its own military satellites by 2022.

Additional Patriot missiles will be purchased as part of the Korean Air and Missile Defense

project,... which focuses on directly targeting Pyongyang's missiles.

In connection to the Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation strategy,... which aims at

eliminating the regime's leadership,... equipment for special forces will be upgraded.

The ministry plans to spend 238-point-2 trillion won,... or some 210 billion U.S. dollars between

2018 to 2022,... to establish both weapons and monitoring systems to keep an eye on the

North's nuclear and missile facilities.

Of this,... 140 billion dollars will go to the operation of military forces and facilities,...

while the rest, or some 68-point-5 billion dollars will be spent on bolstering defense

capabilities.

The ministry also added that it plans to raise its R&D budget to 8-point-3 percent of total

spending in 2022 from the current 6-point-9 percent this year.

Observers say these plans reflect the seriousness of the threats coming from Pyongyang and the

urgency of solving the North Korean nuclear issue.

【HOW TO COLOR SKIN】 Watercolor Tutorial - Duration: 16:01.

In this video you will learn how you can create such a soft looking skin with watercolors.

You will learn how to mix your own skin tones, chose the right paper and which techniques

you need, to work on delicate gradients like these.

>> LAOVAAN: Using watercolor to color skin is one of the harder subjects, especially

if the skin should look realistic and clean.

Because with watercolor you can only go from light to dark, mistakes are hard to undo and

we need to be certain of what we are going to do.

The key is to use the wet in wet technique at the right time, that is: when to work on

wet paper when applying color.

But before we can do that, let's have a look at the skin tones.

Mixing skin tones from scratch requires 4 different components: Red, Ochre, Brown and

White.

Instead of Ochre you can also go with Yellow, but the key is to get the right mixing ratio.

Since there is no single skin tone, it is up to you.

If the color seems too reddish, add more yellow and vice versa.

Use brown to darken it and white to lighten it.

The benefit of mixing your own tones is that you are free to change even the tiniest nuances

which makes it useful for any character you want to color.

The disadvantage on the other hand is, that it's really hard to get the same tone every

time, so you might also want to work with a fixed tone for skin.

My favorite tone for this is naples yellow reddish.

When you are using a fixed skin tone like this, it's a lot easier to focus on combining

your tone with other colors for various types of shading.

You don't have to mix your base tone again every time you want to try out a new variation.

It will also be a lot more consistent when you can always rely on the same base tone.

An important aspect when mixing skin tones and the matching shadows is to not limit yourself

to only 2 or 3 different fleshtones.

Depending on light situations you can add all colors to your basic skin tone to match

with the overall scenery.

A sunset would obviously require a different palette than a rainy day.

Giving our skin more variations than just brown tones is important to give our image

atmosphere.

So I made a color wheel to give us a little overview.

On the left I put the spectrum of fleshtones without any other added color but brown.

I chose a base tone, in my case naples yellow reddish, to use as an example for the rest

of the diagram.

Of course you can use any other color for this.

On the very right I used just the color itself and dulled with black.

In the middle I mixed all the other colors in to get an overview of my possibilities.

Personally I really like the purple shadow, because it goes with a lot of different sceneries,

adding more vividness to the skin.

To pick the right colors for your drawing just experiment, for example by practicing

with using movies or photos as reference.

A tip for darker tones: use an acrylic foundation.

The color won't lift off of the paper the way watercolor does and that makes it more

comfortable to paint shadows and highlights on top.

You don't have to worry about the white of the paper shimmering through while shading.

Last but not least the choice of paper will have an impact on your painting.

I recommend strong paper, because for the technique that I am going to show you we are

going to push the colors around a lot.

The texture of your paper will also have an effect on the appearance of your painting.

There is rough paper and there is paper with almost no visible texture.

Let me tell you right away: both kinds of paper work, as long as they are strong enough,

but they do have different benefits.

Rough textured paper will make your picture more grainy and your painting clearly identifiable

as a work of watercolor.

But it is also easier to hide tiny flaws, since they can merge with the texture.

Compared to that, on fine paper every stain or edge stays visible like on a plate and

it's very unforgiving.

Nevertheless, choosing paper that has no texture enables a more softly rendered and 3 dimensional

look.

It conceals the typical watercolor look completely and makes it appear almost like digital art.

Before I start painting I Look at my sketch or lineart and divide it into tiny pieces

in my head that will need individual attention.

Skin, lips, eyes, neck, hair, background etc.

Then I plan the order that I am going to work in.

Keep in mind, with watercolor you can only work light to dark.

so start with the light areas.

Occasionally the face is covered by darker hair.

When that's the case you can paint over the lines with skin color without any regret,

because it will be covered by the darker color of the hair afterwards.

So the order of this piece will be: Skin of the face, lips, white of the eye,

eyes, eyebrows, neck, hair, background, beanie and clothes, hand.

It won't be that strict and I most probably will jump around between the steps when I

am not satisfied with details, but this is the rough plan basically ;)

With this painting I work with a digital reference I made previously.

You can use the color wheel to help you choose the right color.

In my case I can find the base tone around the orange/red spectrum, the darker ones seem

more in the reddish brown area.

First I wet the area of the face.

Normally I use plain water for it, but if the painting is darker, you can already add

a tint.

The neck will follow up later, I only care about the face at this point.

I am going to wet it with a brush thoroughly.

We need to wet the surface because soft color gradients can only be achieved when the area

is wet

Then I start placing a mixture of Naples yellow reddish and Saturn red to determine the basic

light situation.

This mixture is going to be my base color, because it covers most of the face.

Carefully put the base color down.

As long as the paper is wet we can push the colors in the right direction.

Don't paint where the highlights are supposed to go.

Once covered they would be hard to lighten up again.

Because the highlights aren't plain white as well I applied a light wash of rutile yellow

to mute them down a bit giving the skin a warmer appearance.

Once everything really dried down the grainy texture has disappeared.

The colors are now set and should be fixed with the paper.

We can now carefully add another layer of water, without lifting any color off of the

paper.

So we wet the whole surface again.

We will repeat the process of letting the paper dry and wetting it all over again every

time we add another layer.

When the surface is carefully wetted, I apply another layer of my mixed base color.

(naples yellow reddish + saturn red).

It's about deepening and refining the shadows we previously did.

Again I avoid using the base tone on the highlights so they stay light.

The damp paper will help carrying the color, so we can softly blend it with the first layer.

Let it dry

Time for the next layer.

I carefully wet the paper with clear water again.

This time I add the brown shadow tones with a mixture of (Burnt Sienna Mars brown and

Naples yellow reddish).

These are not placed on the whole face but on the areas where there is the least light.

First I carefully draw a line with the shadow tone and then blend them with the rest.

A tissue helps to regulate the colors that are left in the brush.

This way you can work with the color on the paper without adding any new color to it.

This is the key to smudging the already placed color and to create soft shadows.

Here's a tip: If you painted over lines ,where there is no possible darker color to cover

the mistake, you can take some water and your brush and try to lift them off by carefully

rubbing it off with your clean brush.

Once again let the colors dry completely and wet it again.

This time we are going to deepen the shadow with the next layer and also we add a more

saturated tone compared to our base color.(naples yellow reddish + transparent orange + saturn

red)

This will be our transition tone that defines and blends the places where the shadow and

the base tone meet.

This makes the painting more vivid and interesting because now the skin looks like it consists

of more than just a highlight a base and a shadow tone.

I add more depth by adding more layers of colors the way we did before.

I defined the nose and the nostrils by using even darker colors on the wet paper (green

umber, mars+brown) and lifting it off with a clean brush at those places where I want

harder shadows

I have ignored the lips so far, because I don't want them softly blended in to the

skin just like the shadows.

So this time after everything dried, I won't wet the face all over again but carefully

paint the basic shape of the lips.

i used potters pink + mars brown and burnt sienna.

At this point we don't want to paint over the line.

It would ruin the soft skin, since we couldn't lift off spilled color without lifting off

the color of the skin.

So be very careful with this part.

When the lips are wet I fill them with shadows.

I let the lips dry down completely and then wet the whole face again.

At this point I try to blend parts of the lips with the skin, so they won't look like

sticked on.

Also I used the occasion to add more shadows to the lips.

Time for the eyes.

I wet the area of the eyes with a light grey to give the white of the eye some shadows,

making them appear like a sphere.

When it dried down we can start with the rest of the eyes.

Just as with the lips I am very careful, because I don't want to paint over the lines when

drawing the lash line or eyebrows . I used phthalo sapphire blue and indigo for

the eyes.

Because the face is almost done I start working on the neck.

it's just my personal preference, so you can do it differently.

But I feel the neck and the face fit together better when they are done directly one after

the other.

Nothin much to say on how its painted.

It works just like how I did the face, wetting the area, placing colors, letting it dry and

repeat :).

Back to the eyes.

At certain points I feel the need to use a pencil for single lashes, when brushes give

me a hard time to draw delicate lines.

So i really recommend switching media when it's for the benefit of the picture.

If the pencil stands out we can also wet it and add color again.

This way we can merge everything together or add more depth.

Last but not least we add highlights on eyes and lips with a covering white.

This is what the picture looks like when everything else is done.

You can see that the areas where we painted over the lines are covered by other details

like the hair or her shirt for example.

There will be a full video of this picture very soon on my channel, so make sure to subscribe

so you don't miss it ;)
