Waching daily Apr 9 2017

I've never been violated like that in all my life.

Not even once.

Well not since college.

I should go collect my fellow brahmin and go give those unruly little green buggers

a proper good thrashing.

Come now, we don't need to start a BEEF here.

How clever of you.

Hey dude, don't cow down to his bullying.

All right.

Might as well get it out of your system..

... Come now, dipshits, don't blow a blood vessel.

We should really get mooving.

That would be utter madness.

We shouldn't be too bull-headed.

Hey don't get mad, you're being a bit beef

jerky.

We should be done pretty quick, should only take a calf-hour.

You herd anything good lately.

I bet you'd taste good with a side of mash potatoes.

Took it too far didn't I?

Right okay sorry for... killing the mood?

FUCK YEAH, WE'RE BONDING!

Okay I think we're done.

Now we can get to the Q&A.

About this canon here-

Anyway, so about this canon-

Wait no one is going to mention the flying fucking phone booth?!

Feeling pretty desensitized at this point, dude.

Oh god.

I'm now the most normal person in this group.

And that terrifies me.

We can have a feel sesh later, right now we need to get on with things.

The Hot Topic army is still on our tail.

Fair point.

I know you just did me a favor by getting me out of that place, but I desperately need

to get back to my friends.

Would you possibly be willing to escort me?

We have some questions first, and maybe.

What list?

The one you gave us like 10 episodes ago.

Oh right, right.

Only the hand cannon.

What?

Why tell us about all the other items then?

We're bound by the rules to tell you what you need for your quest.

The rest was just to fuck with you.

It was funny.

I knew it!

All right, well, Reginald in that case- Oh, bother.

Another fucking brit what is the god-damn deal!

Wonderful, a man of distinction for once.

It seems I have overshot the landing again.

By about- oh my.

A few hundred years.

Wow... things didn't quite work out quite so well, did they?

George Miller seemed to rather have nailed it, didn't he.

Umm... hello there.

Oh thank the queen they speak her majesties proper language.

And a quant heathen robot.

Hello local savagery.

I'm The Doctor.

A time traveler from your past and an entirely separate intellectual property.

Uh...

huh...

I'm looking for a specific spot in time.

A great calamity is facing the world that ends in a disastrous outcome for the human

race.

As you might have guessed.

It occurred sometime in the early 2000s with the election of an American despot.

I need to find out where that happened.

Umm...

Washington DC is that way.

Is this dude autistic?

Yes.

You are kind of a dick sometimes you know that?

Not making eye contact.

Right.

Should have been the first clue.

No problem get it all the time.

Would you mind possibly marking the location of this "Washington DC" on my map?

Sure thing.

Here you go.

I would also greatly appreciate it if you and your friends wouldn't mind pointing me

to the nearest location of rest, where my fellow traveling companions and I could grab

something to eat?

You mean like an apocalyptic Holiday Inn?

Pardon?

Never mind.

No, sorry.

We don't know of any.

Would your friends?

What friends.

Them.

Those... aren't friends of ours.

I could be wrong but you look concerned.

Yes.

That would be on account of the legion of sadistic marauders.

Oh.

Well... that's not a problem I can get us all out of here.

In your phone booth?

Yes it has plenty of room for all of us.

Even ed?

Of course, but if they're dangerous we should probably leave promptly yes?

Before those savages attempt to scalp us?

Who the fuck are these bunch?

No time to explain fire up the warp drive.

Alright, boss.

Where could we drop you bunch off?

The gu- the gu- th gu- The glow!

Thank god!

Oh right well.

Where is that exactly?

Umm...

I know where it is.

If you're fucking with us again I swear to god-

All right then, let's be off.

That's not it.

Nope.

Wait hold hold on a second- No time I'm afraid.

That's not it either.

Well... this looks like it.

About god damn time!

My apologies for the slight detours.

We might have gotten a bit pissed earlier.

Oh damn it!

I've got warrants gun it, Joe!

That was- Don't, just don't.

So this is it huh?

This is what you were looking for this whole time?

I hope so.

It looks so scary in their Storyteller son.

Sleep habits in the animal world - Duration: 6:43.

Hi people from the internet!

I'm Sofia and this is The Biologist Apprentice

Sleeping, napping, catching some zzz's, snoozing

No matter what you call it,

(almost) all animals need it

But some creatures do it in interesting and unusual ways

From the ones who sleep nearly 20 hours a day

like me

that's not true...

or maybe it is

to the ones who slumber with only half their brain at a time

here are some of the more unusual ways members of the animal kingdom doze off.

According to a new study, elephants in the wild sleep just two hours every day

And those two hours aren't uninterrupted, they occur in spurts over several hours

This is compared to their captive counterparts, who doze for up to seven hours a night

worry-free of predators

To obtain this information, scientists from the

University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg,

put collars and small monitors on two wild female elephants and recorded their movements for a month

Mostly they slept standing up, but sometimes they lay down

they weren't picky about where they slept,

and their level of physical activity during the day seemed to have no impact on how long they dozed

In the wild, these lumbering giants can go weeks without sleep

though that skill is borne out of necessity.

Being large and slow, they're constantly on guard against predators.

When they do snooze, it's often standing up

getting those lanky legs off the ground takes time they may not have in the face of an attack

And remarkably, they only sleep for five minutes at a time for a total of around 30 minutes a day

In 2008, a group of researchers were studying calls and behavior in sperm whales off the coast of Chile

when they happened upon an amazing discovery

a pod of sperm whales sleeping so soundly in the water that none of them saw or heard the boat coming,

even though whales sleep with half of the brain while the other half stays awake

the whales bobbed vertically in the water,

some with their noses above water, some completely underwater

Based on this, researchers believe sperm whales do sleep fully while drifting for 10 to 15 minutes at a time

during which they don't breathe

Dolphins are similar to whales in that only half the brain sleeps at a time.

this term is called unihemispheric

in spanish maybe is "hunihemisferico"

In this case, it's not just necessary to watch out for predators,

but also to know when to rise to the surface for air so they don't suffocate in their sleep.

According to Scientific American, dolphins sleep one of two ways

either resting in the water in a deep form of sleep known as logging

or while swimming slowly next to another animal

When they sleep and swim at once, it's a light sleep akin to the way humans nap

obviously a normal nap not like mine

I don't know if passed 5 min, 2 or 5 hrs, or we are already in 2023

I'm sorry

the walrus can sleep anytime, anywhere,

whether it's floating in the water, lying on the ground or just leaning on another walrus

Researchers say they've even seen walruses "resting in water while using their tusks to hang from ice floes,"

these mammals can hold their breath and sleep underwater for four to five minutes

but on land they settle into a deep sleep that can last for up to 19 hours.

Walruses can have periods of activity where they stay awake and swim for up to 84 straight hours

You probably know bats sleep upside down

They do this because their wings are not strong enough to take off from the ground,

so they use gravity by dropping into flight from their perches.

Did you know that bats are some of the sleepiest creatures on the planet?

the little brown bat, for example, sleeps an average of 19.9 hours each day

The sea otter's special sleep habit might be the cutest one on the list

When these furry little creatures doze off, they float on their backs on the surface of the water

So they don't drift away while they slumber, they've been known to hold hands in pairs or small groups

They also may wrap themselves in a strand of kelp or seaweed growing from the sea floor as an anchor of sorts.

For the migratory birds,

Birds like the alpine swift and the albatross spend much of their lives migrating or on the hunt.

Because of this, these birds are multitaskers that can sleep and eat while they fly

Researchers have found that alpine swifts can stay in the air for 200 straight days without landing

which begs the question: When do they sleep?

Scientists believe that birds are also unihemispheric sleepers that can sleep while they glide and soar

Frogs use hibernation and estivation as sleep strategies

Frogs that estivate are found mainly in Africa and South America

During dry spells, they burrow into soil and shed several layers of skin to form a cocoon

they leave their nose exposed to breathe

According to Scientific American, when the rain comes again, they shed the cocoon and climb up to the surface.

Some aquatic frogs hibernate underwater on the muddy bottom or partially buried in it,

but here's the coolest part: Hibernating frogs have a built-in antifreeze system

As ice crystals form in their body in their bladder or under their skin

a high concentration of glucose in their body keeps their major organs from freezing

The heart may stop beating and the frog may stop breathing, but come spring it will thaw and "come back to life"

which it's pretty cool

All You Need To Know About Hero Picks | Overwatch Team Composition Guide (UPDATED for 2017) - Duration: 7:28.

Hello everyone I hope you're doing fine.

My name is Skyline!

I already made a video about team composition a while back but that is ancient history now.

I made it in the long ago time of far far away that way Overwatch 6 months ago, so this

is my update 2017 team composition guide in light of all the new changes to how the game

is played at a fundamental level.

My first video revolved a lot around ultimates because of how important they used to be.

They used to come up almost every fight so a big part of your team composition was basically

just picking an ultimate lineup.

That is no longer the case.

Relevant?

Yes.

But something to really build around?

No.

So let's get right into it, to begin making a team we start with the tanks.

The tanks are the cornerstone of a team and determine how everything else is going to

work.

We are going to designate two sorts of tanks: initiators and peelers.

Initiators are the ones who go right up to your opponent's face and give them a hard

time, distracting them from whatever the rest of your team is doing.

The easiest example is Winston.

He jumps in and puts a shield down, locking down whoever he landed on.

He doesn't do a lot of damage, but it's very annoying and forces movement from the opponent

because it WILL kill them if they don't move.

Peelers are the opposite.

They stick with your backline and keep initiators and flankers away.

They "peel" opposing heroes away from your DPS and supports so they can do their job

properly.

The most obvious example of a peeler would be Roadhog, who can hook people away from

his allies and lock that hero down so everyone else can kill it.

Now let's divide the rest of the tanks into those two categories.

I put Reinhardt and D.VA into the initiator categories even though they do have abilities

that you can defend with.

In reality, every hero in the game can "peel" to a certain extent.

Even a Mercy can shoot people with her gun, and the damage from that could cause them

to retreat.

A Reinhardt can swing his hammer around if he gets dove, which is okay, but it isn't

as great as when he is standing further out blocking ranged damage and pushing forward.

D.VA can use a point-blank defense matrix over her supports but she is still better

when projecting it out, getting that big cone, and pushing forward.

So anyway, you can pick up to 3 tanks.

It depends on what you are going for, a lot of teams pick one peeler and one initiator.

Reinhardt Roadhog, Winston Zarya, these are popular because they are pretty versatile.

They can do whatever you want them to do usually.

When you want to be a bit more focused, however, you pick multiples like 2 initiators or 2

peelers.

The triple tank meta became popular because you would run 2 peelers and a Reinhardt (who

can still peel pretty decently when his ult is up,) and a massive backline (remember Ana

used to have 80 damage too) and nothing could ever break you.

It took buffs to initiators like Winston and nerfs to backline damage with Ana to put that

composition in line.

So let's move onto the DPS now.

The DPS you choose basically corresponds to the tanks.

I'm going to divide these up into 2 categories as well: mobile and immobile.

Heroes are balanced around mobility in this game, so if you have a lot of peel, you should

use that chance to take powerful backline DPS heroes who can take advantage of the safety.

If you don't have a lot of peel, your backline won't be safe, so you should take more mobile

DPS heroes.

Even though they generally deal less damage or have special restrictions, the fact that

they don't have to be babysat will mean your lack of peel won't be a problem.

Let's divide everyone up now.

You should run between 1 and 3 DPS depending on how many tanks you picked.

Unless you are going for a special strategy or cheese your total number of DPS and Tank

players should total 4.

If you have only one tank, though, you won't have very much peel even if that one tank

is a peeler, so when running 3 DPS it's most common to see it run as a bunch of mobile

DPS heroes with an inititator.

Widowmaker is put into the mobile category despite that being a bit unintuitive because

she can easily reposition herself anywhere she wants and project her full amount of damage

anywhere on the map very easily.

Not only is she pretty mobile with her grapple but her damage itself can't be projected very

far.

Also note that McCree is special because he has his own form of self-peel, making him

good in greedier backline compositions.

Finally we have supports.

I have a dedicated support picking guide that you can check out in the description, but

I'll go over them here too.

There are 3 types of supports: mobile, immobile, and super immobile AKA builders.

These follow along the same vein as the DPS heroes.

Mobile supports pay for that mobility in power so when you have a lot of peel you should

take advantage of immobile but very powerful supports like Ana and Zenyatta.

When you don't have any peel you should use mobile supports who can run away by themselves.

Builders are good for locking down specific areas of the map while simultaneously buffing

your team despite not being able to heal.

Overall you should have 2 supports, including builders, unless you are going for a special

or gimmick strategy.

This team composition philosophy works exactly the same for both attack and defense, except

attack will lean more toward initiation tanks and defense will lean more toward peeling

tanks by nature of their goals.

This is why builders are generally not considered awesome on attack, for example.

This is where ultimate ability composition and map selection comes into play.

If you think you want a mobile DPS, often you have multiple options.

Look at the ults your team already has available and pick one that is needed.

Then there is the fact that some maps have a lot of verticle platforms and levels that

would be suitable for a hero like Genji but not necessarily for Tracer.

I have a video on ultimates in Overwatch.

It's kind of old but I don't think its too outdated, so until I put out an update on

that one I think it is still a pretty good resource to get an idea of what types of ultimates

you need on a team.

The last thing to consider is that you have enough healing for your team's HP pool.

Mercy and Ana heal for a lot, Zenyatta and Lucio heal for a little.

Pairing up Zenyatta with a Lucio on a team with a bunch of tanks probably won't give

you enough healing to cover everyone.

You would want to swap in either an Ana or Mercy to fix it.

I have a second channel now and I stream and I cast tournaments and all sorts of stuff

now so the best way to keep up with everything is to follow me on Twitter!

Never forget to stay positive and have a great day.

See you soon!

K-CHI - Black Rhino [OFFICIAL MV] - Duration: 3:03.

The memories in my mind

savanna brimming with beautiful black rhinos

Today no longer can I find

savanna brimming with beautiful black rhinos

I remember then

a time when there were seventy

thousand black rhinos livin' peacefully in zen

They were all so carefree

they thought we were friends

but they could not foresee that it had all been pretend.

"Let's take their horns, man, let's take their horns"

I never knew I'd come back with regret and mourn

Today it is almost 30 years since

I made a big mistake; I was so clueless then

Now I'm here again

the scene I can't believe

for the entire species now extinction does impend

Pushed from the sub-Saharan to the south and the east

only 5,000 remain the whole population's decreased

But now we're sellin' your horns

because the people are poor

and we ignored your great importance to the land we adore

Now I abhor the times when I thought I was god...

It was all in my head, "This greed has made you flawed," you said,

"We are specialists; our habitat ain't broad..."

"... you should at least consider our behalf."

"Unshod in your squad, it's clear that you don't have..."

"... that much money but do not unleash your wrath."

"Massive slaughter is not the fate that you intend..."

"... so friend, please amend all your laws."

"We are K-selected so we do not have that many calves..."

"... but you'll save them if you take another path."

This is not the end

survival we can guarantee

On us the rhinos now depend; It's time to decree

that we will help out, new route, be on the lookout,

create reserves and help them relocate then there'll be no doubt

that they'll live happily. Without them, we are nothing

They provide money through tourism for the economy

Together we can guarantee stability

It is our fault and our responsibility

We can still defend

lay down stricter law enforcement

We have the BRREP, with them we can stop people who

frankly, are men in need on leave

and move into the wilderness to find some sort of reprieve

Unknowingly territory they invade

endangering rhino simply cause they are naive

We should make sure that we give them money, get them homes, and grant them aid

so the black rhinos no longer have to leave

We can go back and return to then

My memories I can foresee

becoming existent again

But we need to get together and sign a plea

to send to the Vietnamese

to halt the grim international trade, under CITES

You don't have to roam

Aid from home, mouse click and you're done

Adopt a rhino to donate and help the World Wide Fund

No more torment, prayer's over, say amen

but never stop until the day comes that we've won

The memories in my mind

savanna brimming with beautiful black rhinos

Tomorrow maybe I might find

savanna brimming with beautiful black rhinos

HOW TO MAKE NO KNEAD BREAD - Introduction to Bread Making - Duration: 6:17.

Hi and a huge welcome to Steve's Kitchen

Now basic bread making doesn't get any

simpler than making a no knead bread and

what do I mean by that. I mean literally

we are not going to be Kneading this

bread. The principles behind this is a

high hydration dough, so we're using 75%

water and we're letting a small amount

of yeast do all the work for us. So come on

what are you waiting for. Again you want

a nice strong bread flour, we've got 400

grams, that's about 14 ounces. Now we're

going with a tiny amount of yeast, just

quarter of a teaspoon is needed for this.

I'm going to pop it to one side and

we're using a teaspoon and a quarter of

salt, pop that to the opposite side of

the yeast and our seventy-five percent

water. So we've got 300 mls of

water straight in there, no need to do

too much thinking, pardon the pun. Now you

can get your hand in there, give that a

mix through and get really mucky if you

want to or just take the fork and give

this a bit of a stir through. Once the

forks done the first bit of the work I'm

just going to take my hands and just

push the dough up against the side of

the bowl to incorporate all the flour. So

you can see our dough is really quite

sticky and messy. Now just quickly clean

your hands off and that is all the work,

we're not going to do any more Kneading

on this dough at all. What we are going

to do is just seal that over with some

plastic wrap and we're going to leave

this somewhere in the house, doesn't have

to be super warm, almost any ambient

temperature will do. Leave it overnight

or 12 hours, then we're going to turn

this into the most delicious loaf you've

ever tried.

Now perhaps you left this overnight as I

did but 12 hours later we've got this

beautiful dough and who have we got to

thank for doing all that for us. Just

quarter of a teaspoon of instant dry

yeast, these little fellas worked all

night proving and stretching out this

dough for us and so we've got this

beautiful bubbly and stretchy yeasty dough.

Now on my countertop I'm going to put

down some whole grain flour, something

with a little bit of texture in it and

I'm going to tease our dough out of the

bowl. It's more like a sponge at the

moment, what I'm going to do is just fold

this over, fold it into itself, fold it in

again, give it a little turn around and

I'm just getting my fingers underneath,

gently teasing this and I'm going to

fold it over one more time, again that

just encourages stretching out the

glutens a little bit and then over here

I've got myself a little bit of cotton

cloth, just sprinkle some whole grain

flour over to stop it from sticking. Then

we're going to get our loaf or our dough

here just tease it up, lift it into your

hands like that and what I want you to

do is pop it with the seam side down

onto the cotton like that. I'm going to

sprinkle a little bit more flour over

the top and then I'm just going to cover

that over, doesn't have to be tightly

sealed. Now we want our loaf to prove a

little bit, I would leave it for a couple

of hours depending on the temperature of

your house and then we're going to bake

it and now it's time for the fun to

begin because we're going to bake the bread.

Now at this point I've got my oven

preheating to 220 degrees celsius that's

about four-thirty fahrenheit, so that's

pretty hot but we're going to be baking

this in a pot. Now you can use a clay pot,

a Dutch oven, I'm using a pyrex dish for

this because I want a clear bowl so I

can film it while it's baking but you're

going to preheat that inside the oven as

well, so it's going to be super hot and

you are going to need a lid on this pot

so that we can keep the steam and

moisture in there. So my oven is up to

temperature, my pots up to temperature

and I'm going to carefully get it out of the oven.

Make sure you don't put it on a cold

surface otherwise you'll crack your pot.

Super careful, I'm going to pop that down on

some cork,

take my lid off. Now this is super hot, I

like to sprinkle a little bit of flour

on the inside. Come over here you can see

the bread dough has risen a little bit.

Now it's nice and puffy, what I'm going

to do is I'm just going to flip this

over onto my hand, so now I've got the

sealed side this side down and I'm going

to drop this into my pot, just drop it in

the center.Pop my lid on and

quickly we want to get this in the oven.

Now I want to bake that for 30 minutes

with the lid on to trap the steam in.

Then we're going to take the lid off and

the last 15 minutes just to get a

beautiful crust. Now we're just bringing

the loaf out of the oven, you can see

there it's developed a beautiful crust

because we took the top off for the last

15 minutes. Normally we want the bread to

cool down for an hour maybe even two

hours so that when you cut it, all the

steam doesn't come out and dry the bread

out but we're just going to let ours cool

down a little bit and then I'll let you

have a look. Now I'm cheating a little

bit here, look the bread is still pretty

hot so the whole house smells like

heaven. I'm going to cut this open and despite

it being a little bit too warm and just

show you inside. Now just listen to this

crust as I go through it

we're going to release all the steam out

of there, look at that crumb, it's lovely

air pockets. Now I tell you if you're

making this home, let it cool down

but I get to give this a try. Just look, I'll

break a piece off, the crust is delicious

and I think if you're new to bread

making, you make this for your family and

friends they are going to be so impressed with what

you've made. Anyway let's give this a try,

got all the texture and the elasticity

of a really good kneaded dough and it's

a little bit like a sourdough without

the sour dough flavor. If you decide to

make this at home I'd love you to send

me some pictures across on Steve's

kitchen. Please share the love if you

enjoyed the video and if you're enjoying

this series of an introduction to bread

making I love to hear what you have to

think about it down below, be good and I

will see you very shortly in the next

video, take care

EP043: Comic Book Origins - Jason Todd - Duration: 7:06.

[Main Theme]

Hello everyone!

And welcome to another episode of MajestiComic.

Today's video is about a very polarizing character who shook up the Batman universe

in a way that no one could have expected.

He was created as a simple sidekick, but eventually became symbolic of the power that fans can

have over the comic books they love.

When most people think of Batman's sidekick, Robin, they think of Dick Greyson, his original

teen ward with great acrobatic skills and those skimpy shorts.

This Robin, though, eventually grew to have an even bigger role in the DC Comic's universe.

He became the leader of DC's Teen Titans team, and as he began to spend more and more

of his time with them, Batman's writers began to think that the Dark Knight was getting

lonely without him.

They thought that Batman worked best with a sidekick, someone to bounce ideas off of

and to instruct in the art of crime fighting, so they created a second Robin to replace

the first.

This Robin's name was Jason Todd, and when he first appeared in 1983, he was pretty much

an exact replica of the original Robin, except for the fact that his hair was strawberry

blonde instead of brown.

He, too, came from a family of acrobats, who died at the hands of a villain – this time

Killer Croc, who fed poor Joseph and Trina Todd to crocodiles.

Just as he had taken in Dick Greyson, Bruce Wayne took in Jason as his ward.

Like Dick, Jason was consumed by an urge to get revenge for his parents' deaths, and

to eradicate crime in Gotham City, and he began to fight villains in various homemade

costumes until Batman eventually agreed to train him, and to take him on as his new sidekick,

with Dick Greyson's approval.

When he was first introduced, fans liked Jason Todd, perhaps because he was so much like

Dick Greyson's version of Robin.

However, after DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1985 and 86, his character, like most of

the others in the DC universe, was reinvented.

Writer and editor Dennis O'Neil led a team that completely reimagined Jason Todd's

backstory and personality, making it the polar opposite of the story that was originally

given to him by his creators, Gerry Conway and Don Newton.

This Jason was no longer a squeaky clean, "aw, shucks" type of teen like Dick Greyson

was – he was mean and ruthless and morally ambiguous.

His father was sent to jail when Jason was young, and he had grown up in the slums of

Gotham City with a drug addict named Catherine, who he didn't know was actually his real

mother.

She eventually died of a drug overdose, but by that time, Jason was already leading a

life of crime.

He was particularly focused on stealing car parts and selling them for money, which is

how he came to meet Batman.

One night, while Jason was trying to steal the tires off the Batmobile, he was caught

by Batman, a.k.a. Bruce Wayne.

Having a soft spot for troubled teens, Wayne tried to take Jason to a school for troubled

youths, but Jason soon found that the school was just a front for even more criminal activity.

Eventually, Wayne realized that the only way to prevent having to bring Jason in as a criminal,

was to take him into his home as his ward, and train him to replace his sidekick, Robin.

This Robin, though, was much angrier than his counterpart Dick Greyson.

He was dark and cynical, and would be much rougher on the criminals than the other Robin

ever was.

For example, there was one incident in which Jason beat Batman to the discovery of a serial

rapist who had led one of his victims to kill herself, and when Batman arrived on the scene,

the rapist was falling from the top of a building to his death, and Jason was standing on the

roof, watching.

Jason claimed that he had only startled the rapist, and he had slipped and fallen before

he could catch him, but Batman could never really be sure.

He knew all about Jason's dark nature, and didn't doubt that he was capable of using

deadly force, even though this went against everything Batman believed in.

By this point, it was becoming clear that fans of the Batman comics hated this new Robin.

He was nothing like Dick Greyson, and he was not the heroic, geeky sidekick he had once

been before the Crisis on Infinite Earths.

So, in 1988, DC Comics did something largely unheard of: they asked the audience what they

should do to fix it.

Fans were given a phone number they could call to cast their votes for whether or not

Jason Todd, the second Robin, should live or die.

They were taking a character's life in their own hands… and in the end, they decided

to snuff it out.

The decision to kill off Jason Todd won out by a margin of just 72 votes (and later it

was discovered that many of these votes could have been cast by one person who used a computer

to hack the system, an act that might sound familiar to my fellow Americans this year),

but the die had been cast.

In a1988 miniseries titled Batman: Death in the Family, Jason Todd was brutally killed

by The Joker, an act which we will describe in detail in next week's video.

In spite of the fact that they voted for it, fans did not like this turn of events either,

perhaps due to some kind of guilt that the death had been their fault.

Regardless of the fact that no one seemed to care much for his character before his

death, though, in true comic book fashion, Jason Todd was resurrected in 2005 as the

Red Hood, a villain/anti-hero who had once been embodied by the Joker himself.

Jason was as mean as ever, and he was now an antagonist to his former mentor, Batman.

He was the complete opposite of Dick Greyson, whose shoes he could never fill, and he carried

a chip on his shoulder that would make it hard for him to ever feel at home in the Batman

universe.

Eventually, he was taken back into the quote "Batman family," but he was nonetheless

the black sheep.

After the latest reboot of the DC universe in 2011, Jason Todd is a bit less angry toward

Batman and his team, but for the most part, he was unchanged by this reboot.

Perhaps this is because the writers finally found a way to please their fans with this

character… or perhaps they just don't want to risk angering them again.

Next week, we will be discussing Jason Todd's tragic death in the first video in our Comic

Book Deaths series, so stay tuned to learn more about him then!

Before we wrap up this particular video, though we want to know what you think about Jason

Todd, and we want to do it in the style of that original vote back in 1988.

So, we ask you, if it was up to you, back before the final decision was made, would

you have wanted Jason Todd to live?

Or would you have wanted him to die?

Cast your vote on the poll on the screen now, and we will let you know how it comes out

at the end of next week's video.

In the meantime, you can come and discuss it with us over on our forum at www.majesticomic.com.

Don't forget to subscribe to our channel and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+

Thanks for watching!

Until next time.

Bye!

Plantar Fasciitis Taping - Duration: 4:16.

Hey guys - one of the tools that we use

occasionally at SoleFit is taping. Now we

don't use it very often but when we do

use it tends to work really, really well

and we've had a lot of our patients

asking about how they can do it at home

so we thought we put this little video

together to show you how. Now first of

all there's lots of different types of

tape there's lots of different types of

taping methods, and for today we're

really just looking at something pretty

simple. And the purpose for this tape is

to basically duplicate the idea of an

arch support so if we have a patient

coming in with plantar fasciitis

tibialis posterior issues or really any

issue in the lower leg this is maybe

where we want to use this type of taping

anything you'd normally be putting an

arch support in for. Now especially for

those who maybe have a competition

coming up or they're going away on a big

trip where they they may not get used to

an arch support quick enough this tape

job can be very very very handy so let's

take a look at how we do it! Ok guys so

the one the one downside to this type of

tape thing is you really need two people

to do it you need someone else to put

the tape on for you so if you're

applying the tape to somebody else you

want to have them lying face down on a

bed or on the edge of a table and you

want their foot at 90 degrees off the

side and you want the foot to be nice

and relaxed. Now I've pre-cut these

pieces just to make a little bit easier

for me, but you can use any

kind of tape to do this. So the first

piece of tape we're going to put on is a

brace peace and that sits right across

the metatarsals so basically those

knuckles at the base of your toes and

this is a brace piece of tape so

basically what we're doing with this

piece is we're just providing some

adhesions for the other pieces to have

tape that we're going to be putting on

afterwards so I usually double this up

just to make it a little bit more secure.

So I'll put two pieces here. Now I don't

have the tape go all the way around the

foot just because oftentimes when they

stand this will be called tissue

expansion where the foot expands

and the tissues expand a little bit so I don't

want to cut across the top. So once we

have those two brace pieces on - again

I've pre-cut - but we want to attach one

of the sides

right at the base of the big toe so on

that first metatarsal and then we want

to hold this tape fairly tight from here

to the heel so it's not wrapped up

against the arch it's sits tight through

there. Cross it around the heel and then

attach it again down at the base of the toe.

You can just rip off any excess. And this is

the same thing, I'll usually double this

up so I'll usually put two pieces here.

Basically what this providing here is

going to be the arch support. So we're

going to put a couple pieces on right

now that hold this up against the arch.

So that's basically what's providing me

the arch support. So I'm going to cut a

couple of little pieces here and in

these pieces you want to be fairly tight

you want to hold them against the bottom

of the foot and you want to hold this

piece here right up against the arch so

that's what's can provide in the arch

support when we when the person stands up.

And then once we've got all the

bottom of foot filled up with tape so

again we've held that brace piece here

up against the arch I'll have the person

stand up we just want to make sure that

all those pieces are stuck to the top of

the foot and they'll usually just put a

couple pieces across the top to make

sure the tape stays on a little bit. And

typically with taping you know depending

on what tape you use we only expect this

to probably last for you know

potentially hours or maybe a day or two

really until you take your first shower or

bath and it's not meant to be really a

long term tool but it's meant to give

some short-term relief and again get

someone threw a big trip or or a major

competition. And you can find any kind of

tape at a drugstore the the fabric tapes

tend to work the best. This is a paper

tape which is a little bit easier for

for tearing but it certainly doesn't

tend to last as long, but they all give

the same effect. So there we go!
