Waching daily Jan 29 2017

In this age of Light and fire, simple skills still endure.

Hunters embroider signs of war and loss on their cloaks.

When an old Hunter wears a simple cloak, ask yourself where he got it, and what the cloth

remembers.

The Hunter cloak is more than a simply survival tool, it embodies the essence of Hunter, it

symbolises where they have been and where they are going.

Welcome back guardians, today we are discussing the Hunter Cape, and not just any Cape, Shiro-4's

cape, and why it has the Fallen House of Kings insignia stitched together in multiple pieces.

Can I please ask a massive favour, if you enjoyed my Felwinter video comic book, please

upvote it on the destiny community creations page, it would be a massive help to me.

A link is in the description.

Once again, thank you to Brandon McCammey for providing the original artwork seen at

the beginning of this episode.

If you are watching in the first two hours of release, I will be live streaming over

on twitch, feel free to join.

This is myelin games, and I hope you enjoy this latest Destiny Lore episode.

[INTRO] To understand why Shiro-4's cape has the

House of Kings insignia stitched together, we need to first understand a bit about Shiro's

backstory, his main role in the Destiny universe.

Firstly, Shiro-4 is referred to as a Vanguard scout, this is confirmed in the Shiro-4 grimoire

card which reads, "Shiro-4 is one of the Vanguard's most

trusted scouts.

Tasked with tracking and eliminating Fallen threats, Shiro has traditionally spent most

of his time making runs between Earth, Luna and Venus- gathering intel and engaging in

hit-and-run attacks on active Fallen crews."

There are a couple of important pieces of information in this grimoire card, firstly,

he is one of the most trusted scouts, meaning he is not only likely very good at this job

but I also assume that he has been doing this for some time.

The word, scout, implies he completes this mission solo, which would make sense for a

Hunter, they typically will venture beyond the walls of the City alone, they are lone

wolves.

However, the use of the word, scout is also slightly misleading, whilst he completes what

I could include as typically scouting missions, such as gathering intel, he also does more

than that, he completes hit and run attacks on "active" Fallen crews.

So… there is a hint, that Shiro-4 is more than just a scout gathering intel, but he

is actually engaging the enemy.

His side arm, the Trespasser reinforces this and implies that he also functions as an assassin.

The trespasser grimoire card reads, ""You are not welcome."

–Unknown.

"I beg to differ."

–Shiro-4.

Trespasser is Shiro-4's personal sidearm, kit-bashed over the uncounted cycles Shiro-4

spent braving the wilds beyond the City.

This light, quick-fire shooter has ended more conversations than it has started.

And will end many more before the last war is won."

The ornaments for trespasser read, "Fallen Assassin" and "Crucible Assassin".

There is no doubt in my mind that Shiro-4 is more than just a scout, information from

the trespasser card implies he is a skilled assassin and I assume the reason why he is

a trusted scout of the vanguard, is because they send him to kill high value fallen targets,

active Fallen Crews.

One of the reasons to why Shiro-4 may be so proficient at being a scout/assassin, is his

resourcefulness, his ability to enter the wilds, survive, and still kill his target.

This is reinforced by the Shiro-4 card which reads,

"Shiro willingly aids the Vanguard whenever his skills are requested.

This selflessness—combined with his talents for tracking, weapons-crafting, and combat—makes

Shiro an invaluable extension of the Vanguard's will beyond the City."

Specifically, I want to focus on the resourcesfulness of weapons-crafting, considering Shiro is

not a weapons-smith his considerably skill in weapons-crafting.

As another fellow destiny youtube explained (Beard Grizzly), just take a look at the Trespasser,

it is bits and pieces bashed together, obviously multiple parts from different guns put together

to form a lethal weapon.

Also remember, that Shiro actually fabricates, the exotic weapons, Outbreak Prime, the New

Gjallarhorn and the Kvostov.

These weapons are not your standard weapons, both Outbreak Prime and the Gjallarhorn are

infused with SIVA.

Just listen to this paragraph from the grimoire card, Beauty in Destruction.

"The refubished Gjallarhorn carried into battle by the newest Iron Lord is a melding

of new and old.

The time-tested Crux and Lomar design combined flawlessly with Shiro's modified SIVA tech."

Shiro, recreated Gjallarhorn, infusing the design of SIVA, use he did have schematics,

but the creation of these weapons, really emphasise Shiro's pragmatic approach to

solving problems, even when creating Outbreak Prime, he says things like, what is the worst

outcome, it blows up in your face.

SO you can imagine this trial and error approach to creating these weapons, but it perfectly

suits the role of Shiro, venture beyond, on specific mission dictated by the Vanguard,

survive, craft weapons as needed, and eliminate high value Fallen targets.

And of course, Shiro does it with a little bit of cockiness and flare, like all Hunters,

and mean just take a look at his chest piece, the Lucky Rasberry, the item description reads,

"> No one has ever died wearing me.

# It's true.

She leaves the unworthy before they fall."

Shiro enters enemy territory, wearing armour that implies that he cant be killed, the armor

would have left him if he as not worthy.

The symbolism does not stop there, have you ever noticed the exotic perk symbol, be the

danger, which is also etched into the handle of the Tresspasser, it looks very similar

to the House of Judgements, emblems, one emblem is even called, "Judgment's right hand",

quite fitting for a Fallen assassin, spin foil hats on, Shiro eliminating Fallen targets

for House Judgment, aka, Variks.

What are you up to Variks!!

Ok… ok we are getting much closer to understanding Shiro's cape now, we have quite a detailed

picture about who Shiro is, basically a badass Fallen Assassin.

So why the house of kings cape!

Not only do we need to understand who Shiro is from what I just explained, but we also

need to understand what a Hunter Cape represents, the Hunter cape represents many things.

The Hunter cape, without doubt is the most important, defining feature of a Hunter, in

fact, checking your cape for damage even comes before checking yourself for bullet holes,

the Grinder's Cloak reads, "First, check your cloak for damage.

Second, inspect yourself for major wounds."

Titans and Warlocks may perceive a hunter cape as simply a survival tool, a tool hunters

use exploring the wilds for camouflage and myriad of other purposes.

This is even reinforced by the Dustwalker Cloak which reads,

"A good survival cape can be used as a hull patch, bandage, tourniquet, pressure seal,

picnic blanket."

However, to a Hunter, the hunter cape is not just a survival tool, it represents who they

are.

It represents, a Hunters' status, experience and history, as indicated by the Night Rain

Cloak which reads, "Hunters constantly tweak and upgrade their

armor.

A cloak is the best mark of recognition."

And the Cloak of Tekmor reads, "When an old Hunter wears a simple cloak,

ask yourself where she got it, and what the cloth remembers."

So, just by looking at a Hunter's cloak, if you know what to look for you, you can

understand a Hunter's status, history and experience.

The Hunter cloak is so symbolic of the experience and knowledge of a Hunter, that is highly

valued and passed down to other Hunters, a gesture of passing on years or even centuries

of experience and knowledge, both victories and losses.

The cloak of Solitude reads, "The tattered remnants of a lost veteran's

cloak, handed down as a reminder and a warning."

And this the Hardcase Cloak reads, "If you learn nothing else, learn this:

when a Hunter takes up the cloak of a dead comrade, this is a vow."

As you can see, even once a Hunter dies, their cloak lives on, representing their history,

experience, lessons woven into the fabric, so much so, that to take on a dead Hunter's

cloak you enter a vow, a pledge, maybe that is one of revenge, or maybe something else,

a specific Hunter commitment.

Given all this information, you would also expect that the Hunter cloak represents the

enemies they have defeated in battle, a trophy representing their might and strength.

This is reinforced by the Cloak of Atropos which reads,

"One boast goes, "When Cabal see my cloak, they flee."

Another goes, 'Look at all these Dead Cabal!" and the Nagari Cloak reads,

"In this age of Light and Fire, simple skills endure.

Hunters embroider signs of war and loss on their cloaks."

And don't think that a Hunter's cloak is limited to just enemies of the traveler,

the All My Victims Cloak reads, "Made from the torn cloaks of other Hunters.

Other lesser Hunters."

So to summarise, the Hunter cloak is not just a survival tool, it is a symbolic representation

of a Hunter's experience, knowledge, essence, a representation of the enemies they have

defeated and a warning to anyone who dares to challenge them.

SO….

Now we have all the pieces of the puzzle to understand Shiro's cape.

It is a patchwork of the House of Kings insignia, which implies that primarily, Shiro killed,

or likely, with his backstory, assassinated, many Fallen from the House of Kings.

The stitches I believe represent multiple battles, as a cape represents the defeated

enemies, I believe this cape speaks many words to the number of encounters that SHiro had

with the Fallen House of Kings.

Maybe this is going too far, but I would be happy to speculate that each panel, was a

successful assassination of House of Kings member.

Remember that the Fallen also wear capes, including Captains and Kells.

In fact this is even reinforced by the Kellhunter's Hood, which reads

"Here's my plan to be Kell.

Fallen seem to respect violence and big capes.

I'm really violent, and I found this cape."

So does Shio's cape represent multiple assassinations on members of the Fallen House of Kings.

Remember that the House of Kings, secretly controlled the House of Devils during the

attacks on the city, at the Battle of Six Fronts and the Twilight gap, whilst this is

not confirmed I do think this sepculaiton is reinforced by the Paskin, King Baron card

reinforces this theory when it says, "Their power is matched only by their cleverness.

They rule the Devils from the shadows and came too close to toppling the City not once,

but twice."

For this reason, I honestly expected the House of Kings to make an appearance in Rise of

Iron, as they true rulers over the House of Devils, I was shocked not to see more House

of Kings lore, however maybe Bungie did include it, hiding in plain site on the back of Shiro-4,

the clues were always there, hidden amongst the stitches, House of Kings could not return,

Hunters already knew that, Hunters recognised the Shiro wears the House of kings cape because

he has assassinated many of their leaders, leaving the House in disarray, single-handedly

dismantled by one of the greatest assassins ever seen amongst the vanguard, Shiro-4.

Thank you for watching, that concludes this latest destiny lore episode, PS.. the blue

symbol on Shiro's cloak… no idea what it represents, I tried searching all the emblems

to see if I can find a match, symbol of Vanguard scout maybe…

If you would like to support the channel, leave the word "Assassin" to represent

Shiro-4 the greatest Fallen assassin the tower has ever seen.

As usual it has been a pleasure, this is myelin games, peace

What's New In My Golf Bag In 2017 - Duration: 5:32.

Hello.

I'm Brian Fitzgerald The Golf Doctor.

And today I am going to talk about some changes I have made to my golf bag.

It's a new year 2017.

There has been a couple of changes since I saw you last.

Stay tuned.

[MUSIC]

So we are into a new year.

And there has been some equipment changes in my golf bag.

I thought now would be a good time to update what changes we have actually made.

So over here I have my bag.

So I'm still using my Mizuno MP 25 irons.

That hasn't changed.

I still have my Mizuno MP T5 wedges.

There is a new model the T7 wedges.

But I'm really happy with my T5's so I am reluctant to change them.

They are lightly used so the grooves are still good.

I might wait a little bit longer and I might upgrade the wedges later in the year.

So So the big changes I have made to my bag.

Um oh by the way I've got a 3 iron, a 4 iron, 5 iron, 6, 7, 8, 9 and pitching wedge.

I have got a 50 degree with 7 degrees of bounce MP T5 wedge.

I've got a 55 degree, 9 degrees of bounce T5 wedge.

And I have got a 60 degree 6 degree bounce T5 sand wedge or lob wedge.

I have got my JPX EZ 3 hybrid.

Now I have made this a little longer.

So you may be thinking he has got a 3 hybrid and a 3 iron aren't they the same thing.

I am using the 3 hybrid to hit a little bit further.

So I am trying to create something like a 2 iron or a 1 iron.

So I have souped it up a little bit.

I have got my JPX EZ 3 wood.

So that hasn't changed.

It is set to a standard 15 degrees.

So I don't really fiddle with that.

15 degrees works really well for me.

So the first of the changes is I got my hands on a JPX 900 Driver.

So you may have seen the JPX 900 Driver review I made late last year.

And I'll put a link at the top of the page if you are interested.

This is the best driver I have ever owned.

So it has got a lot of customisation to it and optimisation.

So I have got it set to the lowest centre sorry to the highest centre of gravity that

I can to lower my ball flight.

Ah, I've got it set to the neutral position there with the little slider and I am using

it at 8.5 degrees of loft.

This driver really does go.

I think it is the hottest driver on the planet.

Some people are telling me the Titleist is.

And a couple of other people are telling me the Calloway is.

I've tested both and this is the best driver for me.

So I can whole heartedly endorse it.

I think so much of this driver that I have bought it.

So i physically paid money for this driver.

So that's what I think of the driver.

I could have waited a little bit longer and got it for free as part of my contract being

a Mizuno brand ambassador.

But I really want this driver.

So that is what i think of that.

You may have also seen a review of the Giant putter review I did late last year and I will

put a link to the top of the page of this one.

But I finished up going for the SeeMore Giant M1T.

So it is not quite as big as the one you saw me use in the product review.

It's a little bit smaller.

But I just love this putter.

It is made of high grade aircraft aluminium.

It's got a milled face.

It's got a couple of copper weights to increase the weight.

The aluminium is quite a lightweight material.

So by putting the copper weights in there it brings the weight of the putter up.

It's quite a short putter.

Because I am vertically challenged.

I have short legs if you haven't noticed.

And it's actually down there at 32 inches.

So with my putter at 32 inches my arms hang freely and I can swing the putter in a pendulum

style.

And I have got this nice 1.52 RoseMark grip.

So they're really the big changes I have made to my equipment and I can't wait to get out

on the golf course and put them all into good use in the next few weeks.

So have you made any changes to your golf equipment?

If you have I would love to find out.

So what did Santa bring you?

Any new changes.

Let me know.

You can do so in the comments section below down on YouTube.

or you can send me an email brian@thegolfdoctor.com.au

I'd really like to hear what you are using.

What drivers you like.

My 2 favourite drivers at the moment.

In order are the Mizuno JPX 900 and the new Titleist drivers they are both amazing and

they offer full optimisation for ball flight.

As a club fitter and a golf coach I like to be able to optimise in as many different ways

for each client.

So they really do offer that.

I hope you have enjoyed the video.

the bottom there.

6- 52- You can't become a Vegetarian - Duration: 1:58.

"And of the cattle (He produces) some for burdens, some for food", [Quran 6:142]

"Eat". Again. (after "Eat" in verse #141)

i.e. no one should become a vegetarian.

He ﷻ mentioned plants and said, "East" (Quran 6:141]). Yes?

Then He ﷻ mentioned the animals (verse #142), and said what? (Eat). But here,

This "Eat" is more emphasized. It is said more forcefully

(as if) He ﷻ is shouting at us. Check it out (verse #142):

"Eat of that which Allah hath provided for you; and follow not the foot-steps of the Satan;

verily he is unto you a manifest foe".

so don't come and tell me, "I am a vegetarian". No. Eat.

Red meat? Yes. Eat red meant, chicken, fish, .. No one should refrain from eating them

"Eat" means eat. (Obligatory)

And if you don't eat, then you have contravened. You disobeyed this noble command.

(How can it be that) Allah ﷻ made all of that for you: He created and prepared everything for (your enjoyment),

(then) He ﷻ tells you, "Eat", and you end up not eating?

This is incorrect

The disbelievers: what did they say? "We eat this. We don't eat that ..."

Is It Possible To Build A City Underwater? | Dolan Life Mysteries - Duration: 10:26.

• From how we gain muscle, to if building a city underwater could work, we answer 10

of your most burning questions about life.

• Hey there, my name is Doopie, I'll be reading out the questions and answers

• I'm Danger Dolan and I'm here to blow your mind with truth

10 – Sans Fangirl How do we get phobias?

• Phobias are nightmares and past experiences that always live on in your mind.

Personally I have a phobia of war, I'll never be able to wash myself clean of my past

back in my war days…

So many innocent lives lost, the deaths of every solider still weighs on me to this day…

• Phobias usually take shape during childhood or early adolescence as the result of an unpleasant

incident that then develops into a phobia.

Later in life the brain will recall the memory and sensation of this earlier incident and

the body reacts as if it is happening again.

The chances of developing a phobia increases if a child is aware of their parents own phobia.

9 – Ethannorman123 Do we have to lift weights to gain muscle?

• It's not about the weights!

It's all about the bulk up!

You gotta put down that dumbbell and pick up a protein shake bro.

Here, I'll show yah how to really pump up your guns.

****** • The Bulk didn't work!!

Aghh • No, it is not necessary to lift weights

to gain muscle or get stronger.

Bodyweight and plyometric exercise is a common way to build muscle.

These are exercises such as squats, push-ups, and pull-ups that use the weight of ones own

body to work out.

By increasing the difficulty of such exercises, the body will then adapt by developing muscle

in a similar way to increasing the weight you lift at the gym.

• Agghhhhh it hurtsss • Use the band aid!

Use the band aid!

• * THESE ARENT MAKING ME STRONGER!

8 – Wade_You Why do we have different Blood types?

• Hmmm speaking of blood types…

Doopie what colour blood do you bleed?

• Uhhh red?

• WHA- Ooh... uh eww.

Oh man, I'm so sorry...

Doopie I didn't realize.

• W-what?

What's wrong?

• You're a 'normal blood', eghh- see I rank all members of planet Dolan based on

blood- Personally I'm the best because I don't bleed.

You're somewhere down in the middle.

Tssk tssk what a shame.

• Different blood types only occurred because of genetic mutation, millions of years ago.

Originally there was only blood type, A, but a mutation occurring around 3.5 million years

ago caused type B and a million years later type O.

This mutation modified the sugars on the surface of red blood cells, which affects the compatibility

of blood.

7 – Patreon - DragenDemon Why are we still tired when we have slept longer than 8 hours?

• Ehh I dunno dude, either you're not trying hard enough or you're just straight

up dying man.

• Dolan you're going to stress them out more about sleeping c'mon!

• YEA!

I know!

Stress will LITERALLY cause cancer!

Stop being stressed!

Just stop!

STOP IT!

CALM DOWN OR YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!!

• 8 hours sleep is only a guideline and so getting that exact number of hours could

mean you are getting too much or not enough sleep.

This is because sleep occurs in cycles of REM and non-REM sleep patterns.

These can vary from person to person.

If you wake during an REM phase it is more likely that you will feel tired.

Sleep disorders and looking at a bright screen just before sleep are also factors for not

being well rested.

• * 6 – Naomi Duckett What is the oldest boardgame

and where did it originate?

• I know a game, a very high intensity, and high risk game- one that will absolutely

get your blood going…it involves a gun and two people and one bullet.

It- • OHH do you mean Russian roulette?

• What?

Uhh... no no- I uhh, was talking about ehh Shmutten Munlet

• Senet is the oldest boardgame that we know of and dates back to Ancient Egypt around

3100 BC.

Depictions of the game have been found in tombs dating back to this period and more

than 40 games have actually been found.

Despite this, the rules of the games are not known exactly.

Senet is shown being played by two players and it has 30 squares, 3 rows of 10 and uses

pawns.

Four sticks or two knuckle-bones are thrown like dice.

5 – Chantelle Gomez Why do people get red eyes when they have their pictures taken with

flash?

• YEAH IT MEANS HES A NOOB PHOTOGRAPHER!

He SUCKS at his job!

Check me out on insta, I'll show ya how a real photographer does it!

Hey Doopie take a pic of me so I can upload it to all my followers.

• * Uhh mm woops I accidentally posted it.

• AHHh DOOPIE!

…I was blinking!

• This is the flash reflecting off the retina at the back of the eye, which is red in colour.

It generally happens in low light, when the flash is close to the lens of the camera and

when the subject is looking directly into the lens.

This is because the eye doesn't have enough time to reduce the amount of light it lets

in and this gives the flash time to enter the eye, bounce of the retina before the image

is captured.

4 – Bioshockgirl123 Is it possible build a city underwater?

• There's only one way to find out!

FULL SPEED TO THE OCEAN!

Gooby here we come!!

* *************

• It is possible to build an underwater city, although it probably wouldn't resemble

the cities we know today.

Underwater research facilities already exist and it is thought that the technology could

be used to build places that accommodate thousands.

The only restrictions would be the depth of such cities, which would probably be built

close to the surface or no more than 300m blow sea level.

The pressure level would make the cost of building walls thick enough prohibitively

expensive.

A company in Japan has already drawn up plans for such a place.

3 – Opcilio zero Why can an owl rotate its head a full turn?

• That's because it's broken!

The neck isn't screwed on correctly, it comes out at the wrong time of the day!

It doesn't recycle, it picks on little kids!

I could go on and on!

Just awful birds!

• * • Ughh Dolan, ya' know what?

...I don't give a HOOT!

I don't need to take this!

I'm so done with this- I'm OUTTA HERE!

• Noo…

I…

I didn't mean it….

**** • Owls have developed variations to their

bone structure and vascular system allowing for up to 270 degrees in movement.

This development occurred because their eyes have limited mobility due to their tubular

shape.

The owl's blood vessels get larger as they near the brain and are also more connected

than normal.

Their larger neck bone cavities allow the arteries to move when they are twisted.

2 – Sagar Shrestha Why do people get sleep paralysis?

• Okay, I'm going to level with you guys and tell you all a trade secret, sleep paralysis

isn't real- it's just something us lazy folk do to get out of work.

Oh- I think I hear Doopie coming, here watch this!

• Dolan, where are you?

We need to record for the next episode!

• Eghhhh…

Doopie…

I can't move... ughhh- your gunna have to go on without me..

Sleep paralysis…..

• Ughhh…

** • Sleep paralysis occurs when you wake during

the sleep phase called REM (rapid eye movement).

This is the phase of sleep where dreams occur and the muscles are paralysed in order to

stop the body from acting out what is happening in a dream.

Sleep paralysis happens because you are now conscious but the body is still in a paralysed

state.

Common factors that contribute to this condition are lack of sleep and an inconsistent sleep

schedule.

1 – Fico Simhanandi Why are we called"humans"?

• UM EXCUSE ME?

THIS IS 2016, DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY SPECIES?!

HOW DARE YOU!!!

• The English word human originated with the Latin word for "man", homo.

This meant "earthly being" and comes from the adjective humanus.

In French the word became humain, then eventually in Middle English developed into the word

human.

Humans are referred to as Homo Sapien, which means "wise man".

• Dolan, what species are you even?

I mean you look homo erectus at the very least.

• WHAT!?!

Doopie y-you can't call me that, the kids are watching!!

I'm sorry but as your boss, I need to recommend you for a mandatory seminar class about upsetting

and offending co-workers.

You really need to control that mouth…geez!

including anger-promoting TV:

"He gets bored and likes to watch TV, this person said, so it is important to minimize

that."

and according to the same source:

"People close to him don't like saying no but that it has to be done. You can't do it

in front of everyone.

He's never going to admit he's wrong in front of everyone.

You have to pull him aside and tell him why he's wrong, and then you can get him to go

along with you.

These people don't know how to get him to do what they need him to do."

According to Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian,

"The truth of the matter is he had a successful inauguration with a respectful crowd.

The transition of power went off without a hitch.

His supporters were amiable by and large.

But then he can never let go and stop watching cable TV.

Now he's off to the worst start of a presidency in a very long time."

It also turns out that tweets are contributing to the president's allegedly fragile emotional

state again from the New York Times

"Mr. Trump grew increasingly angry on Inauguration Day after reading a series of Twitter messages

pointing out that the size of his inaugural crowd did not rival that of Mr. Obama's in

2009.

But he spent his Friday night in a whirlwind of celebration and affirmation.

When he awoke on Saturday morning, after his first night in the Executive Mansion, the

glow was gone, several people close to him said, and the new president was filled anew

with a sense of injury."

We're only a week into Trump's presidency and we're all in uncharted waters.

Vegana da un anno | One year vegan - Duration: 8:25.

Hi everyone!

Finally I am filming this video.

One year ago I decided to go vegan,

and I thought I would make a video

about this experience thus far

I asked some people to ask me some questions

they would ask me if they didn't know me well

and if they didn't know the answer already

I hope to answer thoroughly

Let's go!

Why did you go vegan?

First of all, I want to say

before going vegan

I have been vegetarian for six, sever years

I became vegetarian around the age of 20 or 21

for ethical reasons

I just thought that

eating dead animals is wrong.

I became vegan for the same reason

an ethical reason

I've always been driven by

the thought that killing animal is unfair

and when I found out

also for eggs and milk animals have to suffer and some die

I decided to become vegan

I've been informing myself about the environmental reasons

during the process of becoming vegan

I found out that nature too

suffers from animal agriculture

This has just been one more reason

to become vegan and stay vegan

for ever

How do you feel? Physically and mentally.

Physically I feel great.

But I actually felt great before becoming vegan too

I haven't noticed any extreme changes

I have become a little stronger

but it might be because I started climbing with Roberto

So, physically I feel amazing

as always

Mentally I feel much better

Since I was little I always thought I was fat

even if I wasn't

and I also suffered from an eating disorder

for three years

Fortunately I moved on

even before becoming vegan

but I have to say this lifestyle

makes me feel in balance

mentally (and physically)

I feel great

I am aware of the fact

that no one suffers because of me

I think my focus has shifted from myself

to something outside of me, someone else

I am now focusing on the animals

I am not thinking too much about myself and how I have to be thin anymore

the important thing is that I am well

and that animals are well too

So, mentally I feel great!

Is it possible to eat optimally by eating vegan?

Yes, it's absolutely possible

It is actually one of the best and most healthy ways to eat

If a vegan eats enough fruit, vegetables, grains and legumes

he will certainly eat in an optimal way

The only thing he would need to supplement is Vitamin B12

which we don't naturally get from our diet

What has been the hardest thing of becoming vegan?

There are two things I want to say

that have been quite hard

The first thing isn't really difficult

It has entailed some research and information from my side

It has been substituting make up and beauty products

and clothes, bags, shoes

my wallet, etc.

It isn't hard, but it takes some time

because it's expensive

Our wallet doesn't allow us to throw away

all our products and buy new vegan alternatives

they're just too expensive

also, it takes some research

you need to find where to order or buy these new products

I found it an interesting research

and I am always curious to try out new things

but of course it takes a while

before you can afford to buy them

I ended up the make up and products that were almost empty

and I gave the rest to friends, to my mum and to my mother-in-law

they've been happy to accept them since they don't follow my same lifestyle

and it would have been a waste throwing them away

The shoes and clothes I had that made of leather, for example

I gave those to charity

hoping that someone would use them more than I would

because I wouldn't want to use them anymore

This haas been hard

from an economical point of view

but interesting

as research

What has been harder for me

has been going out eating with friends

and don't be a pain in the ass

or rather not think that I would be a pain

I would go out with my colleagues quite often

it was an habit going out every now and then

but from just going to any restaurant without even thinking about it

I had to start calling restaurants in advance

to ask if they could make me something vegan

Do you take supplements?

Yes, like I said I take vitamin B12

and Roberto too, because he's a vegetarian

During winter when the days are shorter and darker

mostly when we lived in the Netherlands

we used to take a vitamin D supplement

because you would normally get vitamin D from the sun

a prolonged exposure to the rays of the sun

Is eating vegan expensive?

It is possible to make it expensive

if you would buy things like meat substitutes

for example, vegan burgers, or vegan cheese, etc.

these substitutes are still relatively expensive

in comparison to other food

BUT it's absolutely possible to eat vegan

and eat vegan without missing any important nutrient

without buying all these things

You can buy rice, pasta, legumes and fruit and vegetables of the season

and your grocery shopping doesn't have to be more expensive than that of an omnivore

On the contrary,

in my opinion, by not eating meat

you save a lot on money

because meat and fish are expensive

especially when they are of "high quality"

So no, eating vegan doesn't have to be expensive

Have you ever eaten something of animal origin since you've become vegan?

The answer is yes

some ice cream once

just after becoming vegan

because I hadn't told my friends yet

then, oh yes, one in a restaurant

I had ordered a vegan soup

and while eating it I fished out a shrimp

I hated it, because

it was maybe the first time I ate an animal

since I even became vegetarian

If it's not your intention to eat meat or fish

or other ingredients of animal origin

it's not your fault if by mistake it happens

Then, my mum cooked some vegetarian meatballs

and they were actually vegetarian, but they weren't vegan

I ate them with pleasure,

but the following time she bought them I read the ingredients

and there was some egg powder in them

It can happen, when someone tells me something is vegan

I trust him or her

I am not there to be on a vegan police duty day and night

Thank you for watching this video

If you have any other question

don't hesitate to ask them here below

I will be happy to answer

I will see you in the next video

Bye bye!

World War II - Top 7 Incredible Journeys (Survivals) - Duration: 6:35.

World War II Survivals - Top 7 Incredible Journeys

When fighter planes and ships were downed by their enemies in World War II, it didn't

always mean the death of every person aboard.

Sometimes, a few people survived but found themselves stranded behind enemy lines.

With no one searching for them, they were forced to find their way back home on their

own.

Some of the people who made these journeys went through unbelievable experiences—and

they made it back alive.

07 - Five Americans On A Lifeboat Sailed Through A Typhoon

Calvin Graef, a prisoner of war aboard a Japanese vessel, was cooking rice when he heard his

captors in a panic.

US ships had found them, but this wasn't the rescue he'd dreamed of.

The US ships had fired torpedoes and destroyed the Japanese ship with Graef and other prisoners

of war still trapped on board.

Graef survived by clinging to pieces of the wreckage.

Soon, four American POWs who'd escaped picked him up on a lifeboat and helped him aboard.

The men made a rudder for their boat by breaking up parts inside.

Then they sailed west toward China.

Their trip took them through a typhoon and over 480 kilometers (300 mi) of ocean.

In the end, Chinese fishing boats took them to shore, fed them, clothed them, and sent

them home.

06 - Japanese Soldiers Walked Through 16 Kilometers Of Crocodile-Infested Waters

In January 1945, Japanese soldiers were forced off Ramree Island by a troop of invading British

soldiers.

One thousand of the men escaped, fleeing through a swamp.

They thought they were going to make their way to safety.

Instead, the men began a 16-kilometer trek through a swamp infested with crocodiles.

The blood of the injured soldiers lured the crocodiles in.

Meanwhile, the men struggled through as crocodiles emerged out of nowhere, grabbed the men, and

dragged them under, never to be seen again.

The soldiers fired their guns wildly every time one emerged, but it didn't stop the

crocodiles.

One by one, the men were dragged into the water by the hungry animals.

By the end, only 400 of the 1,000 men who'd entered the swamp made it out alive.

05 - A Plane Crashed Into A Jungle Filled With Cannibals

In May 1945, a plane flying over New Guinea crashed into a jungle.

The pilot, who couldn't see past the clouds, just flew into the side of a mountain.

His mistake killed 19 of the people aboard and left the last few survivors stranded 260

kilometers from civilization.

A tribe living in this jungle still used Stone Age technology, and rumor had it that they

were cannibals.

In time, the plane crash survivors were spotted by the tribe.

The survivors were terrified, but they had no choice but to offer a greeting and hope

for the best.

To their surprise, this tribe of supposed cannibals just flashed them a smile and then

helped to feed and protect them.

Meanwhile, US paratroopers staged a rescue.

The lost crew was found and flown out of the thick jungle on gliders.

04 - A Chinese Sailor Drank Shark Blood To Survive 133 Days At Sea

Poon Lim was a steward on a British ship traveling to Surinam when Germans attacked the ship

with torpedoes.

Lim grabbed a life jacket and jumped overboard just seconds before the ship exploded.

He was the sole survivor.

Lim climbed aboard a raft in the wreckage and then set out on a grueling journey alone.

After the rations on the raft were gone, Lim became so desperate for water and food that

he actually tried to lure sharks to him.

At one point, he killed a bird with a knife he'd fashioned from a biscuit tin.

Then he used the dead bird to lure a shark to his raft, bashed the shark's head with

a jug, and drank its blood.

Lim passed by several US and German vessels but was ignored by every one.

Finally, he was spotted by Brazilian fishermen who brought him ashore after 133 days at sea.

03 - Prisoners Escaped From A Soviet Camp And Walked 6,400 Kilometers To India

Slavomir Rawicz spent two years in Siberia as a prisoner of war.

Then, with the help of the camp commandant's wife, he and six others escaped.

But their trip to safety wasn't easy.

The men left during a blizzard and had to wander through the Siberian Arctic, living

off what they could catch or find.

When they made their way out of the Siberian Arctic, they were stuck traveling through

the Gobi Desert and then the Himalayas in their desperate journey to the safety of India.

By the end, they had traveled 6,400 kilometers and lost three men.

Four of the men survived, though, after traveling through the harshest environments in the world.

02 - An American Prisoner Of War Stole A Nazi Plane And Flew It To Holland

When Bob Hoover was trapped as a German prisoner near the end of the war, he saw an opportunity

to escape.

A German fighter plane had been left unattended, so he took it.

It wasn't until Hoover was in the air that he realized how insane his plan was.

He intended to fly to Holland, but he realized that he would undoubtedly be shot down when

they spotted him in a swastika-adorned plane.

As soon as he saw an open farmer's field, Hoover touched down.

Dutch farmers charged at him with pitchforks, believing he was a downed Nazi pilot.

Hoover tried yelling to them, but they couldn't understand.

It seemed like the end—until a British army truck drove over.

Hoover yelled, "I'm a Yank!"

The British soldiers translated for the Dutch farmers and took Hoover home.

01 - A Soldier Spent Nine Weeks Traveling Through Snow With One Foot Exposed

As Jan Baalsrud's ship was attacked by Germans, he and his crew realized that they couldn't

win.

Hoping for nothing more than a few more enemy casualties, the men lit a fuse, jumped overboard,

and let their ship explode.

Baalsrud swam to shore and watched as his crew was rounded up by German soldiers.

When they came for him, though, he shot two of them dead.

Then he fled through the snow.

Baalsrud was wet, missing a boot, and trapped in frozen lands.

For nine weeks, he traveled through the cold.

His bare foot froze, and he had to cut off his own toe to stop the spread of gangrene.

He was hit by an avalanche and buried under snow for four days.

Still, he dug through the snow and made his way to a group of villagers, who carried him

to safety on a stretcher.

Jan Baalsrud survived.
