Is the Air SM Worth It? | Speedcube.com.au - Duration: 4:16.

I love this puzzle.

The performance is perfect, the feeling is excellent, it's just a great puzzle.

But $60 is a LOT of money especially for a 3x3 so is the Gan Air SM worth it?

Hey YouTube it's me Spotty!

You've probably heard me say this a bunch before, but every flagship released in the

past one and a half, two years have performance that is really great across the board and

there are many magnetic and nonmagnetic cubes having performance that matches that of the

SM.

So straight up, if you're buying solely for performance, the Gan Air SM is not worth

your money.

The performance on this is awesome but there are others on par performance wise for cheaper.

However, this puzzle has a bunch of things that make it different and may still make

it worth the $60 it costs.

The first thing that I think is great is the feeling.

I know this is personal preference but I don't see too many people disliking this kind of turning.

It's buttery smooth and has a really soft plastic feel and feedback.

There are also subtle bumps because of the magnets but during solves, they aren't obtrusive

and you don't really notice their click.

M Slices also aren't too bad, but I'm not definite on how it'd fair if your solve is

very M slice heavy.

Here's a small sound sample:

Okay, just then you may have noticed that I didn't mention speed or stability.

And that's because the second thing that this cube is great for is customisability.

With the $60 you pay, you'll truly be able to fine tune the turning quality of the cube

with the GES nuts that are included.

The seven different colours of the nuts provide 7 different spring tensions.

Basically what this controls is first and foremost speed, the lighter the spring the

faster the cube - so purple will make your cube the fastest - and then also stability

-the lighter the spring the more flexible your cube will be.

Then even further, the nuts that come with the SM are V2 nuts.

You're probably wondering, what's the difference?

Well I'm glad you asked, basically with the version two nuts, you're able to loosen the

nuts up to 1 and a half turns (from the nut being flush with the tip of the core) to allow

for greater corner cutting.

This also makes for a looser and more flexible feel but the trade-off is that it makes the

cube more prone to pops and corner twisting according to Gan, although I don't see this

cube popping or corner twisting regardless of how you set it up.

If you're wondering, what I've gone with in the SM is the Green nuts loosened half a turn.

Now the cube is a perfect speed for me, stable but not too cubic or tight.

The next thing that you might really like is peace of mind, that as long as you're not

taking pieces apart, your magnets are never gonna dislodge or fall out.

This is because the magnets aren't held in place by glue, which can wear off and bonds

can be broken if it's dropped or whatever.

With this cube, the magnets are placed in slots and the piece design traps the magnets

into those slots.

This is true for both the corners and edges.

Yeah, just the design that has gone into this cube is crazy, if you haven't yet, look at

the pattern on these pieces which I've heard better distributes lube and allows for slightly

less friction between faces.

The final thing that I love is straight out the cube comes really really awesome.

Like out of the box, one of the best cube I've tried.

It's controllable, doesn't catch, stable.

And if you don't like it yet, breaking in and changing the nuts can help solve that.

What I'm trying to say is that you don't really need anything else, lube can help no doubt

but not necessary, to make the cube I think ready for comp use for the majority of us.

But the question still stands.

Is this puzzle worth it?

Well, I can't answer that for you because every person is different.

However, if none of the features I just mentioned appeal to you, then it's probably not worth

it for you because that's what you're paying for; you're paying for feel, innovation

and design, the accessories and performance.

On the contrary, if you don't mind paying the premium for those features, then this

might be the perfect cube for you.

I personally love this cube!

It's become my main and I think the performance is excellent.

But that's just my opinion.

Let's start a discussion down below, is this or is this not worth it?

Links will be below if you're interested, and make sure to use the code "YT.SPOTTY"

It helps me out too.

Other than that though that's really all I've got to say, thanks so much to speedcube.com.au

Coral Reef Restoration Teen Heros! | Picnicly (ft. AiiRKi CH & UNDP) - Duration: 10:58.

Today Luke

and Airkii.

Are in

Koh Lipe.

Look at how pretty it is.

But it wasn't easy getting here.

Want to see?

Airplane.

Van.

I kinda feel like I brought all my belongings.

Like I couldn't decide what to wear.

Did I tell you about the special scene?

Huh?

We have to film in our birthday suits.

WHAT?

It was in the brief.

No it wasn't.

What are you doing?

My Botox is melting.

All this filming outdoors is ruining my face.

It's only been 4 months!

I didn't say you can shoot!

Speedboat.

We've got to take another boat.

You know the word for "long-tail boat" in English?

"Hat Yai" in English?

"Bangkok" in English?

Time to meet our guide for the trip.

Aladdin from the UNDP.

Hi.

I want to look cool like you.

Long-tail boat.

The water is amazing. Crystal-clear.

Motorcycle with a sidecar.

After all that travel, it better be worth it.

We're going to SCUBA dive and do coral reef restoration.

Sounds all responsible and stuff.

Of course.

We're making the world a better place.

Tomorrow we'll meet up with a famous girl-group.

It's sunset time. Let's go walk around.

Roti Love Story.

Airkii, do you like eating roti?

It's ok.

What kind do you normally eat?

Sweet, with condensed milk.

What's the weirdest roti you've ever had?

Do you trust me?

Really trust me?

I think so.

I've been all over Thailand and have never seen this many roti options.

I better come up with something good.

Airkii trusts me.

What kind of crazy person would trust me.

How about tomatoes and eggs?

Kinda like pizza I guess.

Banana. Lime. Mango. Nutella.

Don't believe me? Look at this crazy menu.

Let's see what Luke made for me.

Eggs and tomatoes. Not bad.

Well it's nothing like pizza. But it's not bad.

Next up, mixed fruits.

I forgot what all I ordered.

This one is good. Not bad.

Which is it? Good or not bad?

It's good. Sweet, but not too sweet.

I like mango. I like chocolate. I like roti. I like limes.

You like everything, right?

Pretty much.

Bed time, big schedule tomorrow.

What's the word for coral restoration in Thai again?

I'm up.

Day 2, ready?

I've got my gear.

Me too.

What? I come prepared.

Coral reef restoration time!

Check out the oceans.

Ready?

READY!

Let's go!

Ready?

Ready as I'll ever be.

But I have no idea what to do.

I'm clueless too.

I guess someone is supposed to meet us here.

Over there!

Ok, the world-famous girl group is here.

Ok teachers, what are we supposed to do?

You're going to teach us, right?

Yeah.

Impressive school. Look at the teacher to student ratio.

How would I ask "am I handsome" in the Southern dialect?

You should ask "am I pretty" instead :)

Do you like watching out YouTube channel?

Love it.

And his?

Yeah!

First step. Find some substrate, basically dead coral.

What's the Thai word for coral reef restoration again?

Is that right?

Close enough.

Can I get a heayyyyy???

Luke is off SCUBA diving, I'm not certified so I'm just snorkeling with the kids.

The water is amazing. Super clear.

But we had to get out quickly.

We saw a poisonous water snake.

SNAKE!

I think we'll just wait for Luke.

No snake for me.

Had so much fun. Never seen water this clear before.

There is damage to the coral.

Petroleum from boats is a big problem.

Tourists often don't know what to do and step on the coral.

There's still time though, if we're responsible, we can bring the reefs back.

So this is dead coral, right?

Yup.

We superglue on a new piece of living coral.

Just stick it right on.

This helps kill bacteria.

Time to take the coral home.

The work the UNDP and CATSPA are doing is helping keep Thailand's reefs alive.

How does it feel to be a part of this?

I'm proud of the work I do in my home.

I'm really proud we can breathe new life into the seas.

I want tourists to know the right way to interact with coral reefs.

Don't step on them.

All this beauty you saw today could be gone if people don't change their behavior.

I want the next generation of kids to enjoy it too.

Have fun on your holiday, but be responsible too.

Big thanks to UNDP and CATSPA,

if they didn't fund this work, not sure who would.

It's an important project.

Ok, I'm going down 19 meters.

Bye.

I guess I'll wait here.

I'll look forward to the pretty pictures later.

How was it?

Amazing. Saw so many fish.

Every color.

No idea what kind, but lots. All sizes.

The reef here is in pretty good shape too.

So much fun.

All the good underwater footage, Fabian shot. The shaky footage is mine.

Time to clean up.

WARNING: The following scene is not appropriate for people eating.

Thanks for coming on this trip with me.

No, thank you for inviting me.

It was a great experience. The water is so clear.

I really feel like I learned something too.

Big thanks to the UNDP and CATSPA for making it possible.

It was inspiring seeing the work the kids are doing.

I hope everyone watching this clip is inspired to take action too.

When you visit the oceans, do your part to take care of them.

If you like this clip remember to ....

Ugh my shoes are wet.

Click like, comment, share.

Most importantly, subscribe to Air's channel and to Picnicly too.

Sunset again, let's take a picture.

Wooden Gobblet - My Wood Turning Practice - Duration: 12:20.

This chuck is a little bit different than your other lathe chucks.

There's not really that much of and angle there on the jaws.

So.... I've been doing my tenon......

more like that.

Cause I'm a little bit scared.....

that if I try to put a round tenon on there,

it's just gonna start slipping and possibly fly off.

And this.... on that lidded box I turned...........

seemed to work pretty well. It stayed where it was suppose to stay at on the chuck.

So....... I've got these........

four pieces of poplar here......

that I glued together. That may or may not.............

turn out ok.

We shall see.

But forst I gotta cut them tenons in there.

Well actually what I'm gonna do...........

Is cut that down a little bit.....

Then whack the rest of it out with a chisel.

Dats!!! What da plan is anyway.

Ok... The way I center this thing up......

You can see these lines here.

I kinda eyeball that.

As I tighten them, I try to get each one an equal distance......

in between those lines.

Like I said.... it's kind of a crappy chuck.

(Nothing but music from this point on.)

Phil Mickelson, With Family in Tow, Breaks a Presidents Cup Record - Duration: 8:04.

Phil Mickelson, With Family in Tow, Breaks a Presidents Cup Record

JERSEY CITY — Spectators ringed the 17th green at Liberty National on Saturday, many of them yelling terms of endearment at Phil Mickelson. "Hoboken loves you, Phil," one said.

But Mickelson played his Presidents Cup foursomes match, a record breaker, primarily for an audience of three.

After his playing partner, Kevin Kisner, sank a seven-foot birdie putt to seal the pair's 2-and-1 victory against Jhonattan Vegas and Emiliano Grillo, Mickelson was joined on the green by his wife, Amy, and their two younger children, Sophia, 15, and Evan, 14.

Led by a group of gifted players who were in diapers when Mickelson first played in this event, the United States won 6½ of the 8 points available in the morning foursomes and in the afternoon four-ball matches.

The Americans ended the day leading the International team, 14½ to 3½, with 12 singles matches to be played Sunday in front of a crowd that might include President Trump.

To attend the final two days of this biennial competition, the Mickelson children traveled from San Diego on Friday after their school let out. "That was so cool," Sophia told her father as he gathered her and her brother in his arms.

"I'm so glad you guys are here," said Mickelson, who glanced up and saw a photographer who had been taking pictures during the match.

"Will you get a photo of us for me?" said Mickelson, who posed for pictures with Amy, the children and his younger brother, Tim, who was caddying for him.

With the victory, Mickelson passed Tiger Woods for the most wins, 25, in Presidents Cup history. Mickelson played in the event's 1994 debut with a persimmon driver in his bag and Amy, then his girlfriend, by his side.

It was two years before their wedding and five years before the birth of their first child, Amanda, who just started college at Brown.

Mickelson didn't dwell on the record, because he doesn't consider this weekend his final chance to create highlights in international team competition.

"Right now," he said, "I'm just trying to create more." During Thursday's opening ceremony, Mickelson snapped a selfie with three former presidents: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

That was a thrill, he said, but he left the distinct impression that he would treasure the photographs with his family more. "My kids are at an age where they appreciate these moments now," Mickelson said.

"They couldn't understand what it meant when they were little. Now that they're teenagers, for them to share these moments means a lot to me.

Plus, when they look at me like I'm cool, it means a lot." Those who consider Mickelson hip are not limited to his flesh and blood.

Kisner, 33, who played with Mickelson in all of his matches the first three days, said: "I couldn't have asked for a cooler partner, man. He was so much fun to be with.

He never gets down and he's so positive out there." Another teammate, Justin Thomas, marveled at Mickelson's longevity, as illustrated by his 12 Presidents Cup appearances and his record 54 matches with 16 different partners.

"It's crazy to be that good for that long and to have the reputation that he does, being that much of a leader, a role model, in the team rooms," said Thomas, one of three players on this year's United States squad who were 1 in 1994.

(One of the International players, Si Woo Kim, had not been born.) "I don't know if his record will ever be topped," Thomas said.

"I hope Jordan or myself or anybody else can give it a run, but who knows?"   Team events never get old for Mickelson, who is 47 but doesn't quite act his age.

Amy Mickelson said her husband and Kisner "had been giggling all week." They got along famously, even though, as Kisner said: "He's California.

I'm redneck South Carolina." The partnership worked because of what they have in common, besides their competitiveness: a gift for gab. In the early stages of each match, when Mickelson was most nervous, he said Kisner's chatter had calmed him.

"I talk a lot out there on the golf course to my caddie when I'm playing, and that's kind of his release, too," Kisner said.

"If y'all had a mike on us, y'all would've had so much content to go over, because we didn't shut up for 53 holes." On Thursday, Mickelson missed an eight-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have given the pair a victory in their foursomes match against Marc Leishman and Jason Day.

Halving that match bothered Mickelson the whole night. The next morning, he told the United States captain, Steve Stricker, that he couldn't believe the putt hadn't fallen.

"It was eating at him," Stricker said. On Friday, Mickelson avenged his miss by making a 12-footer to secure a 1-up victory over Leishman and Day in the pair's four-ball match.

He and Kisner celebrated with a dance, facing each other, crossing their arms over their chests, then dropping their hands to their hips and finishing with a synchronized pelvic thrust — moves borrowed from the 1986 movie "Three Amigos." "I saw him practicing it at one point," Stricker said of Mickelson.

"I said, 'I don't think that's such a good idea.' But Phil is Phil." What a birdie! What a celebration! Phil Mickelson and win the fourth match of the day for the U.S. Team.

On Saturday, as soon as Mickelson hit his wedge shot close on the 17th, the crowd near the hole began to murmur.

If Kisner made the putt and closed out the match, what would he and Mickelson do next? They hugged — not one of those bro embraces in which shoulders barely touch, but a heartfelt, prolonged clinch.

"We peaked last night," Mickelson said with a laugh. "There was nowhere to go but down."  .

Chemotherapy for people who don't know what it is or what it's used for - Duration: 3:01.

Hello Everyone My name is James Shiao and today we're talking

biology. The question for this video is: What is chemotherapy and how is it used?

To answer that question we need to look at what chemotherapy is used for: cancer. What is cancer?

Basically, cancer cells have genetic mutations that make them divide uncontrollably.

Normal cells have conditions that need to be fulfilled before

reproducing Like density dependence and anchorage dependence.

This just means if a cell is floating in the middle of nowhere or surrounded by

too many cells, it won't divide. But cancer cells don't care about these things. They just want to divide divide divide!

That ain't Good!

So how do you get rid of these selfish cells? One method is chemotherapy. It's a very general way to kill cancer cells using poisons.

Usually a person is Injected with poisons (yikes!) that will stop cells from reproducing.

There are various kinds of chemo. Which one to use depends on the type of cancer, the stage of cancer, and if the patient wants it.

The two main categories of chemo are cell-cycle specific and cell-cycle nonspecific.

Cycle nonspecific chemicals include alkylating Agents and anthracycline.

These treatments can attack the cancer cells at any point in the cell life and are usually given in a single dose for like 20 minutes.

Cycle specific chemicals Like antitumor antibiotics and topoisomerase inhibitors can only attack the cell during specific phases of the cell life.

Usually, they disrupt the reproduction stage, called mitosis, by interfering with the DNA replication.

Unfortunately, the common factor in all chemotherapy treatments is that they attack a lot of rapidly reproducing

cells that aren't cancer cells. These include hair follicle cells, intestinal cells, and immune cells.

As a result, patients can experience nausea, lose hair, get disease easily, and suffer other side effects that could potentially be very dangerous for the patient.

So, are there any alternatives to chemotherapy? Of course there are!

Biological therapy, or immunotherapy, is one alternative to kill cancer that strengthens the immune system using antibodies.

Gene therapy is another way that teachers mutated genes to kill cancer cells, and both treatments are becoming more popular.

There are quite a few options for treating cancer, and it can be rather difficult to decide which one to use.

When discussing with your doctor, make sure you ask about the risks and benefits of each treatment.

The patient is the ultimate decider in which treatment to take, so know what weapons you plan to use before entering the battle against cancer.

Thanks for watching! I hope you learned something about chemotherapy. Until next time!
