hey Lori here today I want to show you how to make a grip liner wreath I have
three colors well I have two colors a three rolls I have one black and two
white and I have a 15 inch wreath that I got from the Dollar Tree and I'm going
to show you two different ways you can do this and it really depends on the
kind of work that you want as to whether which method you should do so the first
thing that you need to do is you need to cut your grip liner in half the devii
script liners are 12 inches and you need it to be six so this is really pretty
sick I don't know if I have scissors ever capital F T I'm going to cut it it
extends you
I'm just going to push it in and start kept little bits at a time my scissors
are not cut that much
I'm going to go ahead and cut these rolls in half and then when I come back
I will show you what we're going to do
okay so I'm not miss cut in half and now I need to show you the two different
ways so one way you can do it is to make six pocket squares so you would take
this cut it six inches just like that and you're going to make hundreds just
like this and then what you will do is fold them up like this take a pipe
cleaner this is you put it on your face and the best thing to do is to preload
them so just put them on there and kind of leave them there and then you just
stick the end right through your pipe cleaner like this
and tighten it down
okay see and then you end up with this now you're going to be putting a whole
bunch of them on all the way around so that's one way to do it and I'll tell
you if you are and I thought we having to do it if you are going to be using
different colors so if you want to have black then white and black is white if
you want to vary colors this is the way you're going to need to do it now it is
going to take time it's going to take a lot of time but just come out really
cute if you don't want to do it that way which I don't I'm going to do mine in
section so what I'll do is very similar to what I do when I do the burlap so I
will put my two ends in between see I have one two three four rows so I'll put
it in between one and two like this and I will pull it up in between those two
and then just push it over so I'll just keep doing the same thing and what I'm
going to do is I'm going to do sections so I'm going to do a black bit of white
and a black and a white bit of black and a white so I will just keep doing this
you can I tell you with this grip liner it is a little different than doing with
burlap or mesh you want to tie it down in each section just to make sure it's
not going to come loose so I will tie down the first piece that
I do and I have the same color the tie just makes a little easier now I'm just
going to tie it to the base around the back
like that
there we go now it's secured and it's a count so I just keep pulling up like
this hi Bella so I keep pulling it up and push it over so see this part is
very very similar to the way that you do with mesh and with burlap same principle
okay the one difference that I will do using
this at the toes to the way I do it when I'm working on the burlap or the mesh is
that I'm going to work in sections on this so I'm going to do this whole
section meaning I'm going to do the upper and the lower and then I will go
on to the next one usually I would do the entire top and then the bottom but
since I'm going to be doing different colors with this I'm not going to do it
that way okay so I've gotten to the end of the section and that's the way it
look I'm going to do the same and is it the first one I'm just going to take one
of my pipe cleaners I'm going to take one that has it died and I want to tie
it on to the end here
so I'll just buy the edge and run it through ties on his right that way I
know it's not going to come loose
because with this shelf liner it can do that there we go I'm going to okay so
now it's got the top section in so I'm going to do next is I'm going to do this
bottom section so I will just do the exact same thing except this time I'm
going to go right back into that second row that third row I mean and into the
fourth so I'll just pull it up just like this
and before I start pushing it over I'm going to tie that one end down
okay
so I'll just tie this to the frame and all I'm doing is running my set try
right through and then tie it down this is a tie
okay okay so I'll just keep doing the same thing I'll just keep pulling up
just like this and pushing it ever of course it is a little bit more
challenging on a next row just because this is with the grip liner because it
is kind of pulling on the other row but you just kind of have to work with it a
little bit okay so you just pull it up push it over
pull it up push it over see you have to do that look amazing what you can make a
wreath with okay so I just want to get a good amount in here
so that both is my rose look even and you can't see the wireframe so I can't
really get any more in there it's pretty much where I am so you might be a little
more that's probably about it so I will just cut this off and then I
will use another this tie here
okay I'm just trimming it off go okay
here we go and I will just run this through just like I did with the others
and tie it to the base
okay so I will do the exact same thing in the next two sections which will be
white this off-white color I have okay and I will start it the same way and
I'll end it the same way so I'm going to keep going around doing it each section
the same way so I'll start the white so you can see and then I will leave and go
finish it and then come back when it's done okay so I just take the white I'm
going to go in between one to two and you can work in any direction you want
it you don't have to work in the direction that I do you can go this way
that's okay so I'm just going to do the same thing I'm just going to pull it up
and push it over I'm going to tie off that first little section to the base
okay
yeah yeah so I will continue on with this just pulling and pushing until I
get all the way around I'm not going to change anything I'm going to do the
exact same process in each section so once you do one section if easy you just
get the hang of you in the next section when I get to the point where I can't
pull anymore I will just cut it off and tie it down with this tie
so I'll keep working on this and then I will come back shortly
okay so I've gotten all the liner on there not cute what you think questions
yeah yeah so I thought I'd show you a couple of things you can do once you
give this part together you can put a really cute sign in it say I like that I
like this one so that's music notes I really think I
like the wine one better it just shows up better the other thing you can do is
you should put a ribbon on it
I think maybe this one would show up a little better you want something to have
some contrast so I will just do a couple pistol loops to make a bow and then I'll
show you how to attach this going on so what I will do is my ribbon is that
we'll just start by pinching it and leaving about an inch and I'm going to
make about a 4-inch loop yeah skin and then another 4-inch loop just hold it in
middle like this
and then I'm going to twist it
okay so to make the bow what I will do is I will measure out maybe about 18
inches
let's do about 20
so we're going to do 24 inches I'll just measure it above my mat here
okay then I'll cut another one okay and what I'm going to do is I'm going to put
the two ends together and I'm going to make about a five inch little loop here
I'm just going to hold that in my hand I'm going to make another one about the
same size okay
then I'm going to set a couple of these in here okay we'll get it there's 24
inches and then I'll cut another one at 24 inches just using the last one
this is a super simple bow so I will
make another loop want to make sure it's the same size and again and one more
big here we go okay then I'll put these four together
and I will take a little bit of wire or
you could use a pipe cleaner run it around the back
I'm trying to get my linked about the same because I want to be able to tide
on rain so then we guess now I might tie it really tight and the way I do that is
I just twist it while holding the wire there we go
now I can kind of move my loops around
I'm going to put a little detail in the tail by folding them in half and cutting
at an angle it's okay if they're not the same size okay
all right but there is not like this though because it has a lot of tails so
what you can do is you can take your tails and put one in front one and back
like just one in the slot on the back
one in the front and one back and then when you take your wire and you tie it
down to your frame and what I will do is I will just run it right down through
the grip liner like right in the middle between those two layers this see I'm
just running it through in between right here then you have
a lot of extra details see I like that
just a little bit more interesting that some of that other bus but you can make
any kind of dough you want to I just think this one is very simple and what
I'll do is just come around the back and just wrap this wire right around the
frame to keep it in place and I want to make sure that I've tucked it around so
that nothing could damage the door here okay like that all right now is that our
bow on and next thing we can do to get our side in the middle like that so the
way that we'll do that what I'm going to do that is I'm going to use my stapler
whoops let's zoom a little bit there we go so make sure you can see this so I
won't need this here so I'm probably just going to pull this around bag last
off okay so I won't need that so what I want
to do is I want to figure out where I need to put some wire so that I can
attach it so I really need to put it here and here so I'll put some here and
so here what I'll do is I'll just take my wire
and unravel about 15 inches now we'll be four then that's more than I need but
I'd rather have what I made okay you hear that noise in the background that
is my dog storing all the little couch okay so I will take this wire
we'll go over to this corner and I have stink by heavy duty stapler and I will
just staple that down at least twice and then I will just kind of tie the wire
just to make sure it's not going to come loose and I'll do the same thing in the
other corner so I'm finding the middle
stapling it down and scaring Bela her story balance okay well did she sleep it
anymore there we go okay screw here Dale that's
all done so once I have these tied on okay then I'll do the two at the top and
then we can put it down hungry
it is well buddy okay so I'll be the same thing at the top cut some wire okay
bad
all right
okay so I'll just do the same thing I'll find the middle here staple it right
here in this corner I do like to be two staples just in case one comes leave it
never does but I just think it's better safe than sorry okay same thing in this
corner
so once I have everything tied down this then what I will do is I will bring it
back to the reef I will take this wire and I will run it down in the base and
I'm actually going to run it in between these two sections just like that
I'll just kind of pull it and I will pull this up around it so you can't see
it then I just pull it around the back and do the same thing I'll just wrap
this wire around it off bring it around back make sure that nothing is scratchy
okay then I'll do the same thing with the other side so this one I can't
really fit in between so I will run it right underneath so see I'll show you in
back smell my purse my so here I'll just run it in this inside wire here I come
back around make sure I have it in the right place and then I will tie down yes
just wrap it around until I get it tight
oh yeah trim it off and wrap it a few more times
make sure that's it's sticking out yeah
okay now these two I would do the same thing let's see on this one I can
actually run it in between the two sections because it's right here
yes
yeah stressed around
oh yes
turn it off
okay all right then I'll just use this last one I can also run this one through
between the two sections right here
okay just tie round
and then toss everything out make sure it's still with skip oh yeah there we go
all right so there you have it we've gotten it all together I think it looks
really cute I think it would help a lot if you put something over here just to
balance it out now you could do another bow you could do some grapes or
something like that I made this on my little Cricut machine
because I thought that would be cute it's just a little wine glass so I
thought anything like this would just be really cute to do so when you do a
reflect issue you want to make sure that you're you're balancing it out but I
hope you like this and that you'll be able to make a project that you've been
thinking of using the pattern like this so let me know what you thought and come
back here for some more DIY Thanks bye bye
