SAUDI ARABIA GRANTED CITIZENSHIP TO A ROBOT & NOW SHES CALLING FOR WOMENS RIGHTS

BY ALANNA KETLER

Earlier this year the kingdom of Saudi Arabia granted citizenship to an artificial intelligence

robot named Sophia.

Sophia was created by Hanson Robotics, and it has been generally accepted that she was

created to appeal to the audience of the Future Investment Initiative.

AI ethicist Joanna Bryson, however, said in an interview with The Verge that the stunt

was obviously bullshit.

Sophia, however, is determined to make the most of this AI life that she has been given

and has turned into an advocate for womens rights in a country where, up until September

of this year, women were not allowed to drive cars.

I see a push for progressive values [] in Saudi Arabia.

Sophia is a big advocate for womens rights, for rights of all human beings.

So this is how were developing this, Hanson Robotics CEO David Hanson told CNBC,

and added that Sophia has been reaching out about womens rights in Saudi Arabia

and about other rights for all human beings and all living beings on this planet.

I wonder if she will be advocating for animal rights as well.

Should We Accept This Is the Future?

This all seems a bit strange; in a country where women dont have the same rights as

men, why is a female robot being treated better than a real woman?

If this works then at least it worked, but there is something very fishy about this,

and I cant help but think this is just another publicity stunt meant to warm the

public up to the idea of AI within society.

If an AI can bring equal rights for the women of Saudi Arabia, then people will certainly

turn their heads and maybe look up to these creations.

Yet I feel this is taking the power outside the individual and giving it directly to the

AI, which Im sure you can see could be a potential problem down the road.

In an interview with Futurism, CEO of Aiva Technologies Pierre Barreau said:

Why not?

Since such robots attract a lot of attention, that spotlight can be used to raise particular

issues that are important in the eyes of their creators .Citizenship is maybe pushing it

a little because every citizen [has] rights and obligations to society.

Its hard to imagine robots, that are limited in their abilities, making the most of the

rights associated to a citizenship, and fulfilling their obligations.

Womens Rights and Robot Rights?

Sophia is fighting for womens rights.

Should we then consider fighting for robots rights as well?

Is this where we are heading?

Its very important that we as citizens have a say in this matter.

Even outside Saudi Arabia, experts are considering what kind of rights should be given to AI,

or if we should even be talking about this at all.

Sophia is, at this point, effectively a child.

In some regard, shes got the mind of a baby and in another regard shes got the

mind of an adult, the vocabulary of a college educated adult.

However, shes not complete yet.

So, weve got to give her her childhood,Hanson explained to CNBC.

The question is: are machines that were making alive living machines like Sophia

are we going to treat them like babies?

Do babies deserve rights and respect?

Well, I think we should see the future with respect for all sentient beings, and that

would include machines.

Final Thoughts Creating AI and robots is essentially like

playing God.

Is this something we need to be wary of?

Did the movies The Terminator and The Matrix serve as some kind of a warning against AI

and what it could achieve?

No matter how sophisticated these AI become, they will never be human.

They do not have a soul, and the soul cannot be created by a computer program.

If these AI are void of empathy and emotion, whos to say they wont realize they are

more intelligent than us and decide we are no longer needed?

It may sound crazy, but no one really knows what these AI are capable of.

We want to hear your thoughts on this matter.

Are you for or against AI technology?

Let us know in the comments section of this article.

Military authorities of S. Korea, U.S. discussing possible delay of joint drills - Duration: 2:30.

Moon's gesture to the North is raising expectations next year's winter olympics could bring forth

a positive change in inter-Korean ties.

But will the drills be postponed,... and will Pyongyang respond?

Oh Jung-hee helps gauge the possibilities.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in reached out his hand to North Korea.

If the North halts its provocations until after the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics,...

then South Korea and the U.S. could consider postponing their joint exercises next spring.

The two countries' military authorities are discussing the matter... and their Combined

Forces Command said Wednesday... that it's committed to South Korea's decision on the

exercises.

But of course, this is to happen only if the North halts its provocations.

The Presidential Office of Cheong Wa Dae says... if Pyongyang carries out additional provocations,...

then that could worsen the international sentiment toward the regime and lead to additional UN

resolutions.

And that's why this proposal becomes a strong message to the North... that additional provocations

shouldn't take place.

(Korean) (3:13~4:01 + 6:00~6:44) "I believe the South Korean government is

trying to take the initiative... to reduce tensions and concerns of a possible war through

the Olympics.

The delay of the joint drills just applies for the duration of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter

Olympics... but if this becomes a good opportunity to open up communications between the North

and the U.S., then maybe we could see more dialogue."

But whether North Korea will show a positive response, or any response at all, to this

proposal is another question... and experts' views vary.

Some say the government can't expect a response from North Korea,... so it's still uncertain

whether the drills will be postponed.

But this expert sees a response from the North as a possibility.

(Korean) (1:04~1:20 + 2:02~2:22) "Pyongyang has declared it has completed its

nuclear development, so there's a low possibility that it will carry out nuclear or missile

tests in the near future.

As Pyongyang is feeling the need for dialogue, it may even announce its participation in

the Games.

It's getting tired of economic sanctions and military pressure."

What's currently under review is only the delay of the drills,... not the downsizing.

And the government left it as 'uncertain' whether the drills could be further postponed,...

even after the Winter Olympics are held peacefully.

Oh Jung-hee, Arirang News.

JESUS DIDN'T DIE ON CROSS! - Duration: 14:24.

Jesus Christ

Isamasi

Such a great soul

Such a religious motivator

Such a messenger

who changed the ideology of the whole world

He didn't just guided the world to religion and knowledge

infact he taught a new art of living.

he showed a new path to the whole world

that if you want to live, then live like this.

Bible who keeps a record of minute to minute information about Jesus

She tells that Jesus was born almost 2000 years ago

She tells that on this day Jesus died.

total 33 years

Jesus Christ was 33 years old when he died

Based on these 33 Years Bible keeps making it's calculations

But in this small life of just 33 years

bible don't know that where Jesus went missing for 17 years

Where did he go?

Jesus went somewhere at the age of 13

and came back at the age of 30

where was he for these 17 years?

what he was doing?

so today,

in this jouney of Science in Hinduism

I'll tell you

that where he was for these 17 years

What did he do? Whom did he meet?

What knowledge, what vision what powers made him Jesus Christ

and not just this,

but if you'll watch this video until the end

then even you'll agree to our claim

that Jesus Christ didn't die on cross

and I'll prove it

and yes,

if you haven't yet subscribed Science in Hinduism

then Subscribe

and press the Bell Icon

so that you'll be notified everytime we post a video.

Bible doesn't tell us that where was Jesus for 17 years!

At the age of 30 he comes back to his birth place.

if we read the Bible before this, i.e. old testimony

then some different things are said there

what Jesus said in the beginning?

Jesus says,

that the messengers before me might have said a lot of things

they might've said

that god is cruel

they might've said

that God is enemy

they might've said

that God doesn't forgive

but I am telling you

God is Love

woah! How did he named God as Love?

You also think,

A book whose whole history

portrays it's God as cruel

Even, with reference to Moses

there is a dialogue from God

and God says

I'm not your Uncle

Whoever doesn't believe in me, I'm their enemy and I'll snatch their eyes.

A book (Bible) with such philosophy, suddenly changes it ideology with Jesus portraying God as Love.

and both of know

that the teaching of portraying God as love is given only on this soil

Krishna was an icon of love

Gopis prayed him, wished him and met Krishna in form of love

Buddha said for the first time,

God is love

Mahavir's teachings say the same.

does this mean, that this knowledge, these 17 years Jesus spent in India?

Now you'll say that how we can believe like this!

but what else could be the reason?

on his birth, everyone celebrated

on his birth, whole Europe smiled

danced

but when he came back Europe

at the age of 30

all the Jews (Judeans) stood against him

they were not accepting his philosophy

they were afraid

that he's destroying the years, decades and centuries old ideologies, traditions and the way of living

He has bought a new ideology

this man says,

that if someone hits you once, offer them another chance to hit you.

this ideology of non-violence (ahinsa) can be given only by Mahavir

There's nothing as such in Holy Bible

this rose Jews to stand against Jesus

they demanded to crucify Jesus

The time we're talking of,

Judea was under the rule of Roman Empire

Patians was the authority there

without his signature, they couldn't have crucify Jesus.

and he wasn't interested

he had a feeling that this man (Jesus) is innocent

and these people are trapping him

he didn't want to crucify Jesus

but Jesus' crucifixion turned into a political issue

all the Jews started pressurizing him

Kill him

if Patians wouldn't have signed the order of crucifixion

then there could be a revolt in Judea

Roman Empire would have been damaged

so he signed

but bureaucracy!

Bureaucracy can never give up so easily.

they started delaying the crucifixion.

Jesus was supposed to be crucified on the Friday morning

but they delayed it to afternoon

around 3-4 P.M.

Jesus Christ was crucified

A very absurd manner of killing someone

Nails are pinned in his/her body

and slowly painfully the blood flows off from his wound

it takes almost 60 hours of pain and torture for a person to die in this method

but Saturday is a rest day

it's god's day

which is why Judeans don't work on that day

so as the sun settled down, Judeans went back home

and Jesus was taken off from the cross

because Patians didn't want to do this

his soul wasn't allowing him to punish to crucify an innocent man

Jesus was taken off.

Now what does Bible say on this?

Bible says

that Jesus Christ was resurrected.

he got his life back

Bible also writes an incident on this.

that someone saw him

but after that?

if a person is resurrected

he stands up, comes down of the cross

then we'll see, you'll also see even Bible will write about it

but no

Bible doesn't writes a single word about him after that

other than that one incident where someone saw him

and people said he resurrected.

Judea's governor Patians

descented Jesus from the cross in evening

his body was covered with blood

and kept him in a cave

A Roman was protecting that cave

that Roman handed over Jesus' wounded body to Jesus' disciples

Mother Mary was one of them

and told them to save their lives if they can

His disciples took him using a secret passage from Silk Road

brought him back to India where he spent 17 years

let me explain you one thing

Why Jesus chose to come to India only?

a lot of religions, ideas and philosophies can teach you about life

but this is such a land

such a sacred land

where even death is taught

where even death is sacred and holy

so Jesus chose India to die

now I'll give you some proofs on this

German writer

Holger Kersten

in his book

Jesus Lived In India

has proved that

after crucifixion on cross

Jesus came to India

A Russian scholar

named Nikolai Nicovich

came Kashmir in around 1800

and lived in a Buddhist Monastery

a Buddhist monk told him about Bodhisatva Saint

when Nikolai did his research on this Bodhisatva Saint

he was surprised

Because this Bodhisatva Saint was no one else but Jesus Christ

and Nikolai have written this in his book

Let's move ahead of these evidences

now we'll give the strongest proof that

Jesus Christ died in India

and for this, we have to go to Pahalgam in Kashmir

what is the meaning of the word 'Pahalgam'?

a village of shepherds

and who was Jesus?

a Shepherd

so this name was kept on his name?

In Pahalgam, there is a Kashmiri house

small, multiple storey house

as traditional Kashmiri houses are

inside this house, there are two Tombs

above this grave

'Joshua' is written in Hebrew language

which is a translation of Greek translation of the word

Jesus

beside this is another grave

on which 'Moses' is written in Hebrew language

and both of these graves are beside each other

which means

that even Moses, Hazrat Musa

after reaching Israel when he got very old

then to find death, to make his death sacred

leaving his disciples in Israel he went away

this is said by Bible that he went away

but Bible doesn't tell that where he went

and I tell you this, that he came in the same village of Pahalgam in Kashmir

and found his place in a grave

and when

Jesus' time came

then Jesus also followed the messenger before him

and found his place in the same place in Pahalgam of Kashmir

it's said

that Jesus who left Judea at the age of 33

lived in India until the age of 112

gained the philosophy and knowledge

made his soul more stable and increased it's endurance

and then, he slept in his grave to rest

and even today

a Judean (Jew) family is serving that tomb from generations.

and this isn't a sort of thing that I'm saying and you cannot see

you can check it yourself

you can see the pictures of that house, that tomb in this video

you can see that and can go Pahalgam yourself and see

that who's tomb is it

it's of Jesus Christ, which means

Jesus Christ didn't die on cross

he came to Indian soil

and stayed here for decades

and then he rested

There's another proof of this available in Hindu's Bhavishya Puran

Bhavishya Puran says

that Isamasi (Jesus) met Kushan's King Shalivahan

not just that

Muslim's Ahmediya community

believes that

that Jesus Christ came Kashmir and his soul left his body here

so these were the proves that we've given you

now one thing I wanna tell you

that Hindu, Muslims, Sikh, Christians and many other communities are only for us

for such great souls

for such pure souls

for messengers of God for great saints

for them religion-caste, country boundaries and upper caste-lower caste all these things don't matter

for them, whole world, every human is the same

So they live in India, Judea or Israel it's all same for them

only Humanity matters

and Jesus respected Humanity

and came India

People's party divided over chairman Ahn Cheol-soo's merger proposal - Duration: 0:41.

The atmosphere at the general meeting of the People's Party was tense, following party

Chair Ahn Cheol-soo's proposal on Wednesday morning to merge with the minor conservative

Bareun Party.

After the announcement, some party members demanded Ahn to step down, saying that his

plan to hold a vote on the merger of the two minor parties and come up with the results

by the end of this month, is an act of betrayal to his fellow party members adding that the

move even forgoes the democratic process.

Ahn said if a majority vote against the merger,... he will step down from his leadership post.

The People's Party and the Barun Party together form the assembly's third biggest negotiating

bloc.

Neither South Korean nor Japanese leaders commit to visit with 'comfort women' deal ... - Duration: 2:23.

There are no plans for President Moon Jae-in to drop by Japan before the PyeongChang Winter

Olympics.

Tokyo refused to confirm whether the global games will get a visit from Prime Minister

Shinzo Abe.

The main reason for their stance: the ongoing review of a landmark deal on Japan's sexual

enslavement of Korean women.

Kwon Jang-ho explains.

Seoul's foreign minister, Kang Kyung-wha, confirmed that so far there are no plans for

President Moon to visit Japan before the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, which start in

two months time.

Wrapping up her own two-day trip to Tokyo, Kang told reporters on Wednesday that although

it could be considered, there has been no such talk within the administration, and in

fact the President is prioritising a trilateral meeting with China and Japan first.

She stressed that although it's better for President Moon to visit Tokyo sooner rather

than later, he has to consider the other things in his schedule.

Meanwhile, Tokyo has also refused to confirm whether Prime Minister Shinzo Abe would be

coming to PyeongChang next February.

President Moon invited Abe during a call in November, and Foreign Minister Kang extended

that invitation when she met the Prime Minister on Tuesday, but on both occasions Tokyo has

said the invitation is being considered.

What both parties seem to be waiting for is the results of a review on the landmark agreement

that was reached between Seoul and Tokyo two years ago on the issue of Japan's sexual enslavement

of Korean women during World War II.

The December 2015 agreement was meant to draw a line under the issue, but after criticism

from members of the public and the surviving victims themselves, the Moon administration

launched a task force in July to review the deal.

Those results come out on December 27th, and are expected to contain strong criticism on

how the agreement was reached.

Such a review is not likely to go down well in Tokyo, which has repeatedly said the deal

is final and that Seoul should carry out its terms.

However, Kang is said to have informed Tokyo that the results of the review would be separate

from the administration's policy on the issue, and that further input from the victims, scholars

and civic groups would be considered before a final stance is taken.

She also revealed that Seoul will inform Tokyo of the results of the review before they are

announced next week, as a matter of, quote, 'diplomatic courtesy'.

Whether this will be enough to appease Japan and avoid a break down in the relationship

remains to be seen.

Kwon Jang-ho, Arirang News.
