Hi there!

We're here at the water again

It's actually pretty cold

and Christmas is not far off!

But we like going fishing nevertheless!

Maybe not really when it's that cold...

but we can't help it...

we're just addicts...

We thought about doing some winter cod fishing today

People caught nice fish from shore and boat lately

and we definitely can't stay at home then...

so we're here now, ready to fish!

We're pretty keen to go in

'cause the water is even warmer than the air...

Indeed! Let's go!

I'm going to tell you a bit about our fishing strategy now

We fish for cod today

and we're focusing on an edge at the sea bottom

which runs up the coast, parallel to the shore line

There will definitely be cods hunting at dusk!

We know that from our experience...

Mattis is already making some casts at this edge

We're both using sinking lines today

and that makes sense when fishing for cod

'cause they mostly live and hunt at the bottom

Mattis and I both fish a black "Wørm Magnus" today

You may already know Mattis' tying instruction video

In this variation,

we added some bright red yarn for extra attraction

Especially when fishing at dusk and night time,

black flies have the advantage that their silhouette

is a pretty good contrast to the rest light of the sky

We're going to take advantage of this fact today,

and moreover, we won't have to change flies later on

when directly starting with a black one

The water and the air are pretty cold

so we try to keep our hands warm as long as possible...

I'll give it a try now

and hopefully it won't take long

to catch the first cod...

Both works well

you just have to bring your fly to the bottom...

It took the fly while it was sinking down...

I waited a bit after the cast

to make the fly sink to the bottom

and the take came when I started stripping in

It seems they are coming closer to shore now!

Pretty exhausting to haul them in from far out... ;)

The bigger ones are probably about 42 centimeters

We'll keep one or two once they get a little bigger...

so we give up for today

I guess a bit longer than two hours...

...and that's definitely enough then!

We caught heaps of cods in that time span

which was great fun!

And now the Christmas holidays are coming up

so there will be a few days of fishing abstinence...

but we'll be back right after Christmas!

UN to vote on new North Korea resolution further restricting oil supply - Duration: 1:57.

The U.S. has introduced a new draft resolution at the UN Security Council… proposing further

sanctions on North Korea.

The vote on the proposal will take place later on Friday,… and China and Russia are not

expected to use their vetoes.

Kwon Jang-ho has this report.

The UN Security Council will vote Friday, local time on a new U.S.-led draft resolution

on North Korea, that has been introduced in reaction to the regime's latest ballistic

missile test in late November.

According to Reuters and AFP, the new resolution will look to ban nearly 90 percent of refined

petroleum product exports to North Korea by capping them at 500-thousand barrels a year...

building on the previous resolution in September that set a limit of 2 million barrels.

Crude oil exports to the regime have also been capped at four million barrels a year.

And all North Korean nationals working overseas would also have to be repatriated within twelve

months.

The list of banned North Korean exports would also be extended to include food products,

machinery, and electrical equipment, as well as certain stones and minerals.

19 individuals and firms would be added to a growing international blacklist as well,

freezing their financial assets and imposing a travel ban.

North Korea's closest ally, China, is not expected to use its veto, after the U.S. negotiated

the draft with Beijing over the past week.

Although it does not include a complete ban on oil, as suggested by President Trump to

President Xi Jinping last month, China's go-ahead would still be seen as a significant measure.

More-so as China has not yet approved a different proposal by the U.S.

Washington had asked the council to blacklist 10 ships, including two Hong Kong-flagged

vessels and a Chinese tugboat, which are said to be carrying banned oil and coal products

to and from North Korea.

China and Russia have requested more time to examine that proposal, and the decision

for approval to blacklist the ships will now take place on December 28th.
