Merry Christmas and it's Raito here for another episode of osu!

Kicking off the news this week, Poland have been crowned osu!
World Champions.
After USA's 7-4 Match against the UK, the US went on to face Poland in the Grand Final,
The US won the first match against Poland 7-5 to reset the bracket, for those unfamiliar
when you come from the loser's bracket you have to win two Matches, whereas if you're
from the winner's bracket you only have to win one.
So now it was down to the last match, this time it was different though.
Made of Fire wasn't banned by either team and was later picked by the USA, and FC'd
by Toy.
But all that was in vain as Poland took the last map with an impressive FC from WubWoofWolf.
A well deserve win for Poland as this is their first OWC win!
As the World Cup came to an end, a sad announcement from Loctav was made.
At the end of the year he will be stepping away from
the osu!
Team.
While many people in the community might not have a positive view on him, he has done a
lot for the game, such as organizing the past several osu!
World Cups.[show all the OWC's he's helped with here, The game truly won't be the same
without him.
On a slightly happier note, with USA coming 2nd in the osu!
World cup, toy received his 11th profile badge.
One can only wonder how many badges he can truly obtain.
Keeping with player achievements dunois achieved the greatest achievement of all, getting his
account restricted.
At the moment it's unclear whether he wanted to delete his account and gave his login information
to a hacker, or whether he got hacked.
With dunois' being restricted Azer becomes #2 canada
Next up rrtyui appears to be more active in playing.
Though for now its hard to tell if he will carry on playing or not.
After NerO's godmode last week on airman getting several FC's in a row as well as
a few SS's he has started trying for a Flashlight FC on the map and has been getting extremely
close.
On one try, he was even 48 combo away from an FC.
I wonder if after he gets it he will try for the Hidden Flashlight FC, let us know what

Next up, everyone's favourite mapper Monstrata is no longer a Beatmap Nominator.
For those that don't know a Beatmap Nominator is the one who "Bubbles" maps in the forums.
If two Beatmap Nominators "bubble" your map then it gets qualified.What this means
for Monstrata is that he won't be able to speed rank his maps like has been doing for
a while, though I doubt this will affect his maps in terms of gameplay, you'll just be
seeing them a bit less often in the qualified state.
Speaking of mapping, Sotarks answered your pp prayers as his Daidai map got ranked, the
map is 425pp for a Hidden Doubletime SS on the last diff, rightly named "Tights".

Sticking with Sotarks or should we call him Santatarks, in the festive spirit as his Santa-san
map got qualified, unlike monstrata's marathon map, Sotarks' mapset is just under 3 minutes
and features 11 diffs from some well know mappers.
eLy's Re:TrymenT map also got qualified, though by the time this video is out it might
be ranked.
The TV size mapset has 12 diffs including one from Cookiezi, I wonder if he maps as
well as he plays?
Lastly for this week, in the previous episode we mentioned about the want for TAG4 maps
and this week -GN made a very insightful video regarding the matter, let's take a quick
look.
That's it for the news this week, let's go into the scores.
Kicking off this week Cookiezi gets another unranked 800pp play as he FC's UNDEAD CORPORATION's
Embraced By The Flame with hidden and 99.3 acc.
The play would have been worth 809pp if ranked.
Keeping with cookiezi he also S ranked the newly ranked Feeling Sky (200step remix) map
with Hidden Hardrock.
Getting 4 Sliderbreaks and 99.01 Accuracy.
The play got him 548pp and would be over 700 for an SS
Lastly for cookiezi's score this week he takes #1 on the Loved map True Survivor with
Hidden Doubletime and 99.17% acc
Next up adamqs took #1 on Deconstruction Star, unfortunately not the hollow wings one, with
Hidden hardrock, getting 2 misses in the last 70 combo.
His 98.57% acc got him 510pp and would have been around 550pp for a FC
Now it's time to ban anime as Karthy took #1 on Yubi Bouenkyou with hidden doubletime
and 99.79% acc, only 1x100.
He got his first 700pp, with this 715pp play
This was quickly followed up by _Ryuk taking the #1 from karthy with an SS on the same
map and as fate would have it, his hidden doubletime SS got him 727pp…….memes never
die.
