Think of us before you drive - Behind the scenes - Duration: 1:44.

The TAC is working with Victoria Police to produce an ad campaign today.

The message we're sharing with the general public is

that in relation to risk taking behaviour

think about the police before you take your actions.

So the community can expect to see enhanced enforcement

we will be out there detecting speed

drink driving, drug driving, distraction and fatigue,

all of these activites that cause significant trauma on the road.

Around ninety percent of crashes involve some form of human error

so just being able to cut back on the human error,

driving within the road law is a really great start to reducing the number of people being killed and seriously injured on our roads.

People think that they're in full control of their motor vehicles

when they're on the phone, or even glancing at a text message.

You're not.

You're one hundred percent distracted while looking at the screen.

You know road safety is not just Victoria Police,

it's a whole inter-agency partnership that makes this work.

We work very closely with the TAC and our other road safety partners

to ensure that those key messages are brought to life in this campaign.

So taking the concepts from that original idea to where it is today

is a fair process and it's one that we're really pleased to be involved with.

What we ask is that everyone just obey the road rules

we know that if everyone focused on one thing, and that's

we would see a enormous reduction

in trauma on our roads.

Police are out there and the reason they're out there

is to keep the community safe.

Top 10 Batman The Merciless Shocking Facts - Duration: 5:06.

The Merciless Batman Shocking Facts Hey guys!

Welcome back to Top 10 Nerd, Iím Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

Iím back with another Dark Nights Metal spotlight, this time focusing on Batman: The Merciless.

This is my favourite of all the Metal Batmen, and hopefully this video will help you to

love him as much as me!

If it interests you, definitely check out the comics!

Iím really looking forward to seeing where they go.

Now get ready, itís time for the Top 10 Facts about Batman: The Merciless!

Number 10: Origin.

As always, letís start with how Bruce Wayne went bad.

This Bruce from Earth negative 12 battled alongside Wonder Woman against Ares, who had

created a new helmet that made him 100 times more powerful.

After Diana had seemingly been killed, Bruce grabbed the helmet in a last ditch effort

and defeated Ares.

While he knew the helmet could corrupt him, he used it with the intention of wielding

it mercifully with his set of rules.

Number 9: Powers.

After taking the helmet, Bruce unsurprisingly gained a whole whack of abilities.

Because he was the damned God of War.

He gained ridiculous strength and invulnerability, and the ability to manipulate his appearance.

He also seems to have some sort of telepathic powers, allowing him to see into the hearts

of others.

This was briefly mentioned by The Batman Who Laughs, so Iím not sure if itís a legit

power, but considering Ares had some telepathic ability, it wouldnít surprise me if itís

real.

Number 8: He was corrupted by the helmet of Ares.

While the helmet of Ares gives The Merciless a huge amount of power, it has a pretty significant

side effect: it corrupts its wearer.

It acts quickly, more on that later, and seems to corrupt them further over time.

I really like this, because it actually gives an explanation for why he would go soooo evil.

With Red Death, itís weird to me that he went so crazy so quickly, but here the helmet

actually corrupted him, so his transition is a lot more believable to me.

Number 7: He went on a rampage of justice.

Yeah, issue 1 is basically ìTerms of Enrampagement 2: Batman Editionî.

After putting on the helmet and defeating Ares, Bruce decided that peace and morality

werenít real, and he needed to bring his own form of justice to those who opposed him.

And he would do it with a big olí sword.

Number 6: He doesnít think heís evil.

This isnít particularly uncommon in the metal series, but itís definitely something that

should be mentioned.

The Merciless is aware that his views changed after putting on the helmet, and knows that

others see it as corruption.

But he sees it as purification; he was purged of the meddlesome moral system that was holding

him back, and is now able to enact justice in its purest form.

Is it original?

Not really, villains have been saying this for ages.

But itís definitely important to know moving forward, since it means he may be able to

be convinced otherwise.

Number 5: Tolkien vibes.

Yeah, if you havenít noticed by now, the helmet is basically The One Ring from Lord

of the Rings.

A powerful being creates something to increase his own power.

A brave warrior (Batman and Isildur) takes up the weapon to defeat the evil, but then

becomes corrupted by the weapon.

Granted, Batman ends up becoming an insanely powerful being while Isildur gets lit up with

arrows, but this is totally Lord of the Rings Batman.

And thatís why heís my favourite.

Number 4: He survived a blast that would have killed Superman.

The military had developed a weapon using a combination of Sonic Tech, Chemo Particles,

and Kryptonian Sunstones.

It was believed that nothing could survive it.

When The Merciless attacked, they used this Valhalla bomb as a last ditch effort to take

him out, dooming Gotham alongside him.

But when the smoke clearedÖ he was just chilling there without a scratch, having seemingly

absorbed the blast.

So we can probably add energy absorption to the list of powers.

What a boss.

Number 3: He killed Wonder Woman.

Wait, what?

I thought Ares killed her!

Nope, turns out she was alive, and tried to take the helmet from Bruce.

So he killed her.

This was a shock right at the end of the comic.

It showed how quickly the helmet was able to corrupt him, and that not even his love

for Diana could fight the helmet.

For now.

I suspect Wonder Woman Prime may be able to get to him by the end of the series.

Number 2: He still loves Diana.

Despite his intense corruption, and the fact that he, ya know, killed her, he does still

miss her, as can be seen in one panel of the comic.

This is a pretty big revelation; youíd think he would be void of any emotion by now, but

there still seems to be a place in his heart for Wonder Woman.

This is part of why I think she will eventually manage to convince him to change his ways.

Bruce Wayneís still in there, dammit!

Number 1: Heís still evil even without the helmet.

As I was reading the comic, when I saw that the helmet was corrupting him, I was soooo

sure that getting the helmet off him would be a big plot point.

I was like ìOh sweet, theyíll get the helmet off him and heíll go back to normal and join

the good guys.

But then he went and took it off, and was still bad.

There goes that theory.

He looks awesome without the helmet though.

Thatís it for today!

Hope you guys enjoyed, if you did please smack that thumbs up button and subscribe to Top

10 Nerd for more videos!

Whoís your favourite Batman from Metal?

Lil Peep's Cause of Death Has Been Confirmed - Duration: 1:34.

For Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Lil Peep's cause of death has reportedly been revealed.

According to TMZ, the Pima County Medical Examiner's office found that the young rapper

died of an overdose of Fentanyl and Xanax, confirming previous suspicions surrounding

his death.

The toxicology reports that there was no alcohol found in his system but there were traces

of other drugs including marijuana, cocaine, Tramadol, Hydrocodone, and Oxycodone.

The medical examiner's office deemed the cause of death accidental.

The report comes a month after Lil Peep was found dead on a tour bus in Tuscon, Arizona

where he was scheduled to perform.

Lil Peep was 21 years old.

Since his death many hip hop figures have come forward to speak out against rampant

drug use in the community.

Wiz Khalifa encouraged his fans to stop consuming lean, Lil Uzi Vert announced he was giving

up drugs and Vic Mensa called out rappers who glorify drug use to sell records.

In an interview with Billboard he said,

"To be honest, it's like, on one hand I almost don't even feel that I have a right

to chastise anybody because I've fucking done it.

I regret it.

I don't rap about it anymore, but I have some lines about taking Xanax.

I just think that we're in such a dangerous place now because it's been normalized and

the drug abuse has been reduced to like a marketing tactic."

Lil Peep left this world with a promising career and influence on today's culture.

Friends, fans, and family gathered together last week in a memorial for the artist they

knew and loved.

Breakfast Hacks You'll Wish You Knew Sooner - Duration: 5:42.

We've all been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and yet most

of us probably skip it far more often than we'd like to admit. Sure, fixing a balanced,

nutritious breakfast is all great when you have the time, but what about all the mornings

when you can hardly get your teeth brushed, much less think about cooking? Well, say goodbye

to those days of running on pure coffee, just to be starving by lunchtime.

"Give me all the bacon and eggs you have."

With these hacks in your culinary toolbox, breakfast will be easier and tastier than

ever.

Overnight oatmeal

Save yourself some time in the morning by skipping the hassle and mess of making oatmeal.

A few easy steps the night before ensures a perfect serving in the a.m. Combine ⅓

cup of milk, ¼ cup of rolled oats, ¼ cup of Greek yogurt, chia seeds, ground

cinnamon, and honey in a half-pint jar with a lid. Cover and shake! Remove the lid and

top with your favorite fruit or berries, then re-cover and refrigerate overnight. By the

time you get up, the oats will be perfectly softened for a delicious morning meal.

Easy freezy

Another way to save time and enjoy warming oatmeal for breakfast is to make a batch on

the weekend and divide it up into a muffin pan. Freeze the pan for a few hours, then

transfer the oatmeal mounds to a resealable bag and place in the freezer until ready to

use.

That's not all you can freeze ahead of time, either. If you're a fan of smoothies for mornings

on the run, prep all your drink ingredients ahead of time and freeze them in pouches or

Ziplock bags. When you're ready to make your smoothie, just blend one of these pouches

along with the liquid of your choice. Done.

Finally, forget about moldy bread forever by storing your bread in the freezer. Your

bread will last much longer and you can even toast frozen slices.

Waffle iron hash browns

Put down that skillet. There's a better way to make hash browns for breakfast, and it

involves your waffle iron of all things. If you only order hash browns at diners because

you think they're a hassle to make, think again. Just flop your hash mixture onto your

trusty waffle iron and close the lid. The hash browns will cook to an irresistible crispiness

on both sides without requiring you to do any fancy maneuvering. No flipping and no

mess.

Mini muffin frittatas

Make half a dozen personal frittatas and have them ready to roll for every day of the week?

Yes, please. Fortunately, it's easier than you'd think. Just grease a muffin pan and

throw in chopped onions, peppers, or whatever you like, then top with eggs. Bake the frittata

babies in a 350 degree oven until they're set and cooked through. Wrap them up and store

in the fridge, reheating as you move through your week.

Make an egg-ocado

An avocado makes for great breakfast food because it's naturally full of healthy fats

and nutrients.

"Avocados… deeeeelicious."

And eggs, well, they aren't too shabby either. So why not prepare them together to save time

and to enjoy maximum morning nourishment? Cut an avocado in half and crack an egg in

each cavity. Place on a heated cast-iron skillet, transfer to a 425 degree oven, season the

tops as desired, and bake until the whites are just set and the yolks are still runny.

This energy-boosting breakfast is magical. And while that oven's burning, you might as

well try...

Bakin' bacon

If you're like everyone else on the planet, you probably cook your bacon on the stove.

Well, give this a try: Cook that bacon in the oven. This allows you to make more, avoid

shrinkage, and easily discard the excess fat drippings. Even better, the bacon cooks while

you go about your morning routine.

"Good morning, apartment! . Morning doorway. Morning ceiling, good morning floor."

Simply put a wire rack inside a rimmed baking sheet and arrange bacon strips in a single

layer. Set the oven to 450 degrees and cook about 20 minutes.

Perfect pancakes

Hate those misshapen pancakes and gooey messes? Transfer your pancake batter to a squeeze

bottle to squeeze out the exact amount of batter you want. Pro-level pancakes every

time, guaranteed. Of course, you can also go the healthy route with fluffy two-ingredient

pancakes. Using only eggs and a banana, you can whip up nutrient-packed pancakes in less

than five minutes. Just mash a banana in a bowl, stir in two whisked eggs, and cook like

a regular pancake.

"Mmmm, flippin fantastic!"

Round eggs

If you've ever wanted to make round eggs that fit perfectly in a breakfast sandwich, try

using Mason jar lids. Whisk the eggs in a bowl and grease the insides of the lids with

some butter or oil. Place the rings on a griddle or pan and pour the egg mixture into them

almost to the top. Add cheese and an English muffin, and you have yourself a stellar homemade

breakfast sandwich.

Easy hard-boiled eggs

Another time-saving egg hack is to make hard-boiled eggs in a muffin pan. Place an egg in each

muffin cavity, transfer the pan to a 325 degree oven, and bake for about half an hour. Cooking

a large batch of hard-boiled eggs ahead of time is a great way to save yourself time

on those hectic weekday mornings.

Cereal flip

When all else fails, there's always cereal to start your day. But if you hate getting

to that last bowl that's just a bunch of crumbs, then try this quick hack. Before opening new

cereal, flip the bag so bigger pieces get redistributed throughout. Doing so means you

get to enjoy a tasty bowl of cereal every time instead of ending with soggy cereal sand

at the end of the bag.

when I was 22 years old I came to this city for the first time I was playing in

the Canadian Football League playing my first pro football game I was playing

for the Calgary Stampeders we were playing the BC Lions I was so excited

two days later I got cut dreams shattered sent home with seven bucks in

my pocket I was like wait no I got a play in the NFL eventually those are my

big goals that's my dream you realize that that playing in the NFL was the

best thing that never happened because it got me here so my point is look

you're gonna get your ass kicked we're gonna get kicked out of us you got to

get up you got to have faith that the one thing you want it to happen

oftentimes is the best thing that never happened so have faith just keep that in

mind and keep plugging away if you're obsessed you know what you want you take

a massive action maybe you modeled somebody figure out the right actions

they get there quicker and you're executing you still need a little grace

some people call it luck you could call God but I really believe that there's

the part we do and then there's the part that comes to us but I do know grace

shows up a lot more when you do the first two steps on your own and grace

shows up a lot more when you acknowledge grace in your life we acknowledge that I

was born in a world where I didn't have to build this internet that I can pull

out of my pocket they have so anything on earth I'm driving on streets I didn't

pave I'm reading books I didn't have to write that's the gift of our lives and I

think when we experience that grace we don't just experienced more achievement

but we start to experience more fulfill and grace not only affects your ability

to get there but it affects what you do and how you lean you live once you are

there it really determines the quality of your life because unless you live in

a state of gratitude you know I did an interview with Sir John Templeton and as

you know is one of the first billionaire investors and just a brilliant man he

came nothing and he don't eat any was 750

they still do it Templeton find I think it's 750 million

dollars a year it's needed a Nobel fund but he donates and one day asked him I

said what is the secret to wealth he looked at me pause this big smile his

eyes got really bright like they always did and he said Tony it's what he teach

I said why I teach a lot of things you know it's thing he said gratitude he

said because you and I only know billionaires that are miserable and it's

because they're not grateful for what they have and we both know people have

no money seemingly but they're so grateful for their health for their

husbands their wife their children they're so grateful to God that some

people for their life that they're rich you know

so I think I think it starts with that gratitude it starts with that connection

to grace is simplistic if that sounds and so it's not enough just to have your

financial plan you have all the money be miserable let's have the money and be

really rich emotionally psychologically but as you begin to challenge yourself

you discover some things about yourself that you don't know right now the other

thing is you begin to look at yourself look at your dreams it and and begin

begin to experiment and stepping in to your greatness one of the things is very

important whatever those and dreams that you have repeat after me please make

your move before you're ready

yet price prejudice of the great great a motivator and trainer said make your

move before you're ready we're in instructed in life to walk by

faith and not by sight see you want to really begin to stretch yourself you

want to become a risk-taker you want to raise the bar on yourself most people

won't do that see most people engage in low life living low risk living this

card said if you're not willing to risk you cannot grow and if you cannot grow

you cannot become your best and if you cannot become your best you can't be

happy and if you can't be happy then what else is there I like what Helen

Keller said life is short and unpredictable eat the dessert first and

so you want to begin to take some chances you want to begin to challenge

yourself and make it okay to fail and learn from your failures tone allow fear

of failure and the allured the attractiveness of playing it safe in

life to draw you in you can't get out of life alive you've got that gotta die to leave I

had about 30 minutes there mm-hmm you know I was prepared enough yeah I

mean was I as good as a wreath of Franklin no no well my job is just to

get people used to looking at the stage I'm the opening act yeah

it mattered to me if I did good but nobody really cared is this you know a

big gig like this they do have a rehearsal do they have a walkthrough

they have like a sound checks and that kind of thing I don't know

I imagine no big sound check you know we could either go with send a guy right

wouldn't you were 19 did you go for a sound check well I skipped it which was

a terrible mistake that was a mistake that was a terrible

mistake I skipped a sound check and nobody could hear me for the first three

minutes but you know you know what it is they you've been a stand-up for many

years and and you know you probably get that question when people tell my god

you're a comedian but what happens if you go out there and you tell your jokes

and no one laughs nothing happens you get paid the same you're not gonna die

and a bad heaven so I keep it all in perspective

Question Behind The Question (QBQ!) by John Miller - Book Review - Duration: 4:04.

how's it going everyone my name is Donovon and this is how to happy in this

video we're going to be doing a book review of the question behind the

question or qbq by John Miller this book is best for those who want a new

approach to asking themselves questions and getting to the roots of some of

their own ideas it's a quick easy read with one overarching message so on that

note the difficulty to digest is really low it's written very conversationally

and you should be able to breeze through it and pull out the main message so the

question behind the question again is a pretty short book but it's all about how

to increase your personal accountability Miller talks about how increasing your

accountability is how you're able to get more things done and reduce frustrations

so the book outlines a methodology for asking yourself those better questions

and increasing your accountability qbq is extremely approachable Miller uses a

lot of really easy to grasp stories that you can get on board with without a

whole lot of cognitive overload and while the main point of the book is

increasing your personal accountability he also talks about some things like

leadership and team-building Miller's primary methodology is changing the way

that we ask ourselves questions so instead of saying something like why

does the management team never help me you might ask yourself how can I explain

to management that I need more assistance and support them in this way

right one of these questions basically shifts blame saying I don't understand

why they never do this the other one forces you to start looking for

opportunities to increase the communication and become more effective

this is the main thrust of the entire book is reframing questions to yourself

in this way when we're able to make this shift Miller says that we naturally

become leaders that are more productive and less frustrated the reason for this

is we're no longer blaming things on other people which puts it out of our

control right everything that we do we frame in

a way that we have some control over the matter and we can look for ways to

improve the situation having some control leads to feeling a lot better

about your circumstances so again the question behind the question is a fairly

short book with one message but that message is worthwhile and can be really

helpful if you want to look to increase your personal accountability or learn

how to ask yourself better questions it's definitely worth picking up other

considerations so due to the length of the book some of the concepts aren't

covered as in-depth as you might want if you're already deep into this field and

kind of have an idea of how to frame questions to yourself to increase your

productivity or you've read and adopted things like extreme ownership this may

not be as impactful for you however it's still a good refresher even if you adopt

some of these strategies already and if you don't do it at all it's definitely

gonna be a nice way to ease yourself into this style of thinking let's move

on to the applicable content section number one next time you run into a

problem try asking yourself how can I solve this instead of any other question

2. what questions do you regularly ask yourself how could you adjust them to be

more useful that's all I've got for this video so as always I've got a link down

below where you can pick up the book on top of that if you have any questions

comments topics you want me to cover or books you want me to read let me know in

the comments as well and beyond that I will see you next time

you can check out more content at how to happy.com also don't forget to

subscribe so you can stay up to date on the videos we've also got a Twitter

Instagram and Facebook you can check out reflect take action and enjoy life

see you next time

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY ELSE IN YOUR FAMILY OR AT WORK

CAN GIVE A BETTER GIFT THAN YOU CAN GIVE DON'T WORRY ABOUT

IT. YOU SEE, ALL GIFTS ARE DIFFERENT. ALL GIFTS NEED TO...

CAN BE UNIQUE. AND THE WISE MEN (NOTICE THIS) THEY GAVE, AND AS

THEY GAVE IT WAS IN CONNECTION (SEE HERE IS THE NATURAL IN

CONNECTION WITH THE SUPERNATURAL); THEY GAVE IN

HONORING AND WORSHIPING CHRIST. WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT AS WE

GIVE GIFTS WE SHOULD ALSO BE HONORING CHRIST.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

YOU KNOW, THAT'S A PATTERN FOR US TO FOLLOW; WORSHIP GOD,

HONOR CHRIST KEEPS EVERYTHING IN PERSPECTIVE. IT'S NOT THE

GIFTS IT'S WORSHIPING AND HONORING CHRIST. SEE, I'M GOING

NATURAL AND SUPERNATURAL THIS MORNING. I WANT YOU TO GET

IT, SPIRITUAL AND NATURAL; SPIRIT AND NATURAL. EVEN THOUGH

WE GIVE A GIFT TO OUR FAMILY, TO OUR FRIENDS, TO PEOPLE

THAT... OUR WORK PARTNERS AT THE SAME TIME IN OUR HEART

WE SAY WE'RE GIVING NATURAL GIFTS TO PEOPLE, BUT "FATHER,

I'M HONORING... IN GIVING THIS GIFT I'M HONORING YOU. I'M

WORSHIPPING YOU BECAUSE YOU GAVE... YOU GAVE THE FIRST

GIFT, JESUS CHRIST TO ME. YOU SEE, WHEN WE BEGIN TO THINK

AND ACT LIKE THAT THEN WE'RE NOT CONSUMED WITH TRYING TO

OUTDO SOMEBODY ELSE. WE'RE NOT CONSUMED WITH TRYING TO

FIND THE PERFECT GIFT. I THINK WITH THE WISE MEN HERE THIS

INCIDENT SHOWS US THAT IT'S IMPORTANT TO GIVE GIFTS FROM

THE HEART.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

NOT OUT OF COMPULSION BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO GIVE. THEY...

NOBODY, NOBODY'S TWISTING THEIR ARM. NOBODY WAS WHIPPING

THEM AND MAKING THEM GIVE. THEY CAME AND GAVE BECAUSE

THEY WANTED TO GIVE. YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES WE FEEL

PRESSURED TO GIVE. AND PERHAPS, EVEN THOUGH WE KNOW

GOD WAS THE FIRST GIFT-GIVER, PROBABLY AND MAYBE, AND IT

COULD BE THAT THE IDEA OF GIVING GIFTS AT CHRISTAMAS TIME

ACTUALLY STEMS BACK TO THESE WISE MEN BRINGING GIFTS AND

GIVING THEM TO THE CHRIST CHILD. THAT COULD BE WHERE

US... WHERE WE, GOD'S PEOPLE, GOD'S CREATION GETS THE

IDEA OF GIVING GIFTS. COULD BE. I DON'T KNOW. THAT'S

JUST SOMETHING THAT I THOUGHT ABOUT, YOU KNOW, AND WAS

THINKING ABOUT. HOW MANY OF YOU REALIZE THIS COULD BE...

THIS COULD BE WHERE IT ALL STARTED.

(CONGREGATION RESPONDS)

HELLO. SEE, LET ME... LET ME SAY THIS, AS YOU'RE SHOPPING

AND BUYING GIFTS, AH, DON'T BUY GIFTS THAT IS GOING TO TAKE

YOU THE REST OF THE YEAR TO PAY OFF.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

NOW I'M BACK TO THE NATURAL SIDE. SEE, PEOPLE GO IN DEBT

BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY'RE PRESSURED TO FIND THE PERFECT

GIFT THAT THEIR LOVED ONE, FRIEND, CO-WORKER OR SOMEBODY

NEEDS. DON'T BE PRESSURED. REALIZE THAT YOU CAN ONLY DO

AND YOU CAN ONLY GIVE WHAT YOU HAVE. DON'T TRY TO OVER- GIVE.

EACH ONE OF THESE WISE MEN CAME WITH THEIR GIFT. I DON'T

KNOW WHETHER THEY COULD... THEY GOT TOGETHER AND

TALKED ABOUT IT OR NOT, BUT EACH ONE BROUGHT WHAT HE

HAD; HE GAVE WHAT HE COULD GIVE. THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED TO

DO IS TO LEARN TO BRING A GIFT THAT YOU CAN GIVE.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

I WANT YOU TO NOTICE GOLD, FRANKENCENSE AND MYRRH, AND I

KNOW THEY GOT ALL KINDS OF THINGS THAT IT REPRESENTED

AND ALL THAT BUT I IMAGINE THE GIFT OF GOLD WAS A WHOLE LOT

MORE VALUABLE THAN THE OTHERS WERE.

BUT, I WANT YOU TO NOTICE THAT MARY AND JOSEPH DIDN'T SAY,

"WELL, HEY, HE GIVES GOLD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? THESE ARE

NOT AS VALUABLE, WHY?" NO, THEY RECEIVED THEM ALL. I WANT YOU TO

NOTICE THAT THE ONE THAT GAVE GOLD, HE DIDN'T CONDEMN THE

OTHERS BECAUSE THEY DID'T GIVE SOMETHING OF MORE VALUE.

COME ON NOW.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

I'M JUST DOING SOME GOOD, PRACTICAL DOWN HOME TEACHING TO

YOU PEOPLE TODAY TO TRY TO HELP YOU TO REALIZE YOU CAN HAVE

A GREAT CHRISTMAS WITHOUT IT COSTING YOU AND ARM AND A LEG.

(CONGREGATION RESPONDS)

HELLO, COME ON.

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

TURN TO YOUR NEIGHBOR AND SAY,

"DON'T PUT YOURSELF UNDER PRESSURE."

(CONGREGATION REPEATS: "DON'T PUT YOURSELF UNDER PRESSURE.")

"JUST GIVE WHAT YOU CAN."

(CONGREGATIO REPEATS: "JUST GIVE WHAT YOU CAN.")

YOU KNOW, HOW MANY OF YOU ENJOY RECEIVING A GIFT?

(CONGREGATION RESPONDS)

WE ALL DO!

SO, WHEN WE GET A GIFT INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT THE VALUE OF

THE GIFT LOOK AT THE HEART OF THE GIVER AND REALIZE THEY

ARE GIVING BECAUSE THEY WANT TO GIVE AND THAT'S ALL THEY...

THAT'S ALL THEY CAN DO. AND RECEIVE IT WITH GLORY AND...

AND WITH HONOR. HELLO. COME ON. SEE, PROVERBS 19:6 SAYS:

YOU KNOW, WE BUY GIFTS FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE FOR DIFFERENT

REASONS. BUT TOO OFTEN WE'RE ONLY BUYING THE GIFT SO THAT

THEY'LL THINK GOOD ABOUT US. AND THAT'S THE WRONG REASON

TO GIVE A GIFT. ARE YOU BUYING A GIFT TO GET APPROVED...

SOMEBODY'S APPROVAL? OR ARE YOU BUYING A GIFT BECAUSE

YOU WANT TO GIVE A GIFT? YOU KNOW, THAT'S ONE OF THE

REASONS, AH (CLEARS THROAT), IN PLACES... THEY USED TO DO

IT WHEN I WAS A KID GROWING UP IN CHURCH (SNIFFLES), YOU

HAVE A PARTY AND EVERYBODY HAD TO DRAW NAMES AND HAD

TO BRING A GIFT. AND THEN... THEN... YOUR... YOUR... YOUR...

YOUR... SOMETIMES YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY A

GIFT, AND THEY PUT EVERYBODY... AND I SAID, "THAT'S CRAZY."

YOU KNOW. IF I WANT TO BUY MY FRIEND A GIFT I'M GOING TO

BUY HIM A GIFT. I DON'T WANT TO BE FORCED TO DRAW A NAME

AND BUY SOMEBODY A GIFT. NOW, IF YOU DO THAT IN FAMILIES

THAT'S FINE 'CAUSE YA'LL ALL AGREE TOGETHER THAT THAT'S

THE WAY YOU'RE GOING TO DO IT. NO PROBLEM. BUT TO... TO

DRAW NAMES AND GIVE GIFTS JUST TO BE GIVING A GIFT. OH,

IT'S GETTIG QUIET IN HERE NOW ISN'T IT?

(CONGREGATION RESPONDS)

THINGS WE NEED TO KEEP IN MIND IS THE FACT THAT IF WE GIVE

A GIFT GIVE IT BECAUSE IT'S GIVEN OUT OF A HEART OF LOVE

AND BECAUSE YOU WANT TO GIVE BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT GOD

DID. HE GAVE OUT OF LOVE. IT SAID, [FOR GOD SO LOVED...

HE GAVE..."

(CONGREGATION: "AMEN.")

YOU CAN STILL HAVE A GOOD CHRISTMAS WITHOUT HAVING A LOT

OF MONEY. THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT WILL SPEND THOUSANDS AND

SOMETIMES MILLIONS OF DOLLARS ON CARS, AND PLANES, AND GIFTS

TO GIVE TO SOMEBODY AND THEY'LL HAVE A MISERABLE CHRISTMAS

BECAUSE THEY... IT WAS DONE BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SHOW

OFF OR THEY FELT LIKE THEY HAD TO. IF YOU HAVE IT DO IT,

ALRIGHT, IF YOU WANT TO, BUT DON'T BE PRESSURED TO GIVE

JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY ELSE DOES. SEE, BE THE BEARER OF

GOOD NEWS. SOMETIMES THAT'S THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN GIVE.

SOME OF THE MOST VALUABLE GIFTS DON'T COST A LOT OF MONEY.

FOR EXAMPLE, FORGIVE SOMEONE WHO TREATED YOU WRONG.

REMEMBER CHRIST FORGAVE YOU. MEND A QUARREL OR

APOLOGIZE. VISIT SOMEONE THAT YOU KNOW THAT NOBODY WILL GO TO

SEE. THERE ARE HUNDREDS... I KNOW THIS FOR A FACT

BECAUSE MY GRANDMOTHER WAS IN A NURSING HOME, BUT THERE

ARE HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE THAT WILL SIT IN NURSING HOMES ON

CHRISTMAS AND NOBODY WILL VISIT THEM. THANK GOD FOR OUR

NURSING HOME TEAMS. WE GOT... I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY NURSING

HOME TEAMS WE GOT THAT GO EVERY WEEK INTO THE NURSING

HOMES. HUH? SIXTEEN? WE GOT SIXTEEN TEAMS OF PEOPLE THAT

WILL GO INTO THE NURSING HOMES. THEY DO IT EVERY WEEK, BUT

THEY'RE ESPECIALLY... PEOPLE DO IT AT THIS TIME TO VISIT

THOSE PEOPLE. YOU KNOW, ESPECIALLY BE KIND TO SOMEONE,

SOMEONE YOU WORK WITH. A LITTLE STORY, ONE MOTHER SAID

HER MOST MEANINGFUL GIFT CAME LAST YEAR. "MY TEN-YEAR-OLD

DAUGHTER WROTE A LETTER ON HER OWN AND STASHED IT

BEHIND THE CHRISTMAS TREE. SHE SURPRISED US WITH IT. AFTER

ALL THE GIFTS HAD BEEN OPENED SHE EXPRESSED HER GRATITUDE

TO MY HUSBAND AND ME FOR BEING HER PARENTS AND TOLD US

HOW MUCH SHE LOVED US. AND IT BROUGHT MANY TEARS OF JOY.

I'VE SINCE FRAMED THIS SIMPLE HAND-WRITTEN LETTER AND HUNG

IT ON THE WALL OF MY BEDROOM. IT WILL FOREVER BE THE MOST

MEANINGFUL GIFT I HAVE EVER RECEIVED." SEE,

PAUL SAID IN EPHESIANS 4:32:

GOD FORGIVES SO LET'S FORGIVE. GOD LOVES SO LET'S LOVE.

GOD GAVE WHAT HE HAD, LET'S GIVE WHAT WE CAN. GOD GIVES

COMFORT, LET'S COMFORT SOMEONE. GIVE GOOD THINGS EVEN

WHEN SOMEBODY DOESN'T DESERVE IT. REMEMBER GOD GAVE

HIS SON WHEN WE DIDN'T DESERVE IT. YOU KNOW, THE GREATEST

GIFTS ARE NOT WHAT COSTS THE MOST. THE GREATEST GIFTS ARE

THOSE THAT ARE GIVEN FROM THE HEART THAT SAY, "I LOVE YOU;

I'M HERE FOR YOU; YOU MEAN SO MUCH TO ME." LET US ALSO

AS WE GIVE GIFTS AND AS WE GO OUT TO BUY GIFTS, DON'T PUT

YOURSELF UNDER PRESSURE. GIVE WHAT YOU CAN TO WHO YOU

THINK SHOULD RECEIVE, BUT NEVER EVER FORGET TO GIVE THANKS

TO GOD FOR WHAT HE'S DONE FOR YOU. AND NEVER EVER FORGET

TO GIVE IN YOUR OFFERINGS AND TITHES. AND EVERYTIME YOU

GIVE REMEMBER WHAT GOD GAVE TO YOU. IT'S A SPECIAL TIME

OF THE YEAR SO MAKE IT SO, LET IT BE SO. AND DON'T BE UNDER

PRESSURE. HEAVENLY FATHER, I'VE TALKED TO THESE PEOPLE

FOR A FEW MOMENTS TODAY SIMPLY TO REMIND THEM THAT YES,

IN THE SPIRITUAL WE NEED TO REALIZE THAT WE RECEIVED THE

GREATEST GIFT WHEN YOU GAVE. BUT FATHER, HELP US ALSO TO

REALIZE THAT IT'S NOT THE GIFTS WE GIVE; IT'S NOT THE GIFTS WE

GET, BUT LET US REALIZE THAT IT IS THE HEART FROM WHICH THEY

COME THAT IS MOST IMPORTANT.

I HOPE THAT YOU GOT AHOLD OF WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT WHEN I

WAS TALKING ABOUT JESUS CHRIST, THE PERFECT GIFT. AND YOU

KNOW, IF YOU'VE NEVER ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS THAT

PERFECT GIFT THAT GOD GAVE TO US, IF YOU'VE NEVER ACCEPTED

HIM AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOR YOU CAN DO SO RIGHT NOW.

OR IF YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE THAT HAS ACCEPTED HIM IN THE PAST,

BUT YOU KNOW YOU'RE NOT JUST WHERE YOU NEED TO BE WITH

HIM YOU CAN PRAY THIS PRAYER WITH ME RIGHT NOW, AND
