Waching daily Aug 16 2017

I see a lot of YouTube videos that are educational but we know that there is a more effective

way to do it.

I know you know - this is what has led me to have this existential crisis here about

this channel.

I wanted you back here on the podcast.

This is not a podcast.

I wanted to talk to you also about are we teaching anyone anything?

I like to frame it more like.

Are they learning anything.

Right.

The two hopefully go together but not always.

Yeah I mean one thing that some people do online that I see a lot is oh this movie teaches

you this or this TV show or that book teaches you something.

I disagree with that many times.

It's not the intention of the creator to teach anything.

No.

And you can learn a lot of things from content that it was not intended.

A good example of what you just mentioned are gender and sexuality and expectations

about relationships.

People learn a lot from media about how to interact with each other.

And a lot of that is not intended to teach people anything.

Reality TV shows for example are the most raw versions of that.

They're not acted out.

I would argue that porn is the most raw version of that.

Where would we be without porn.

Yeah exactly.

It's an upcoming episode.

Going back to reality TV.

People love it because it seems real and in many ways the reaction the emotions are real.

You start picking up things and you start learning..."learning".

Reality TV shows aren't making those shows so that other people will act the way that

their stars do.

This is where I think we have to talk about how we actually form memories.

We've all been in situations where we sat in a lecture or looked at a book and we thought

we might learn the material.

It would just sort of enter our head and we'd learn it.

But that doesn't necessarily happen when we're trying to learn new information.

It's an active process.

If you're in a class you might hear something in a lecture.

But then when you recall it again you're recreating that memory and each time you do you strengthen

it.

You have to read the book.

Think about it.

Write it down yourself.

Make your own examples.

You have to elaborate on it and each time you're strengthening the memory.

I see a lot of YouTube videos that are educational but we know that there is a more effective

way to do it.

I know you know.

This is what has led me to this existential crisis here about this channel when I'm actually

in a classroom

So much of my teaching is not about lecturing at you.

Lecturing is actually not that effective.

What's more effective is helping you to make the information your own.

But then there's like how to be a successful YouTuber or a podcaster which is very different.

The ideal thing would be that we would run through what we're going to talk about at

the beginning of the episode and then actually do it.

There's actually a lot of research about how important testing and quizzing and getting

feedback is to the learning process.

So if I start a video and I have a little quiz that engages some of the big myths about

a concept I'm about to teach and then I teach it.

And then a quiz you again you're going to remember more but like who wants to watch

a YouTube video that starts with a quiz?

I really worry that a lot of these videos are lecturey.

Maybe they're fun but they might just be edutainment and not educational.

It's not a bad word, you don't have to say it like that.

I feel bad saying it.

But I've also received feedback from YouTubers who have huge channels and have been doing

this much larger than are much longer than I have.

And they say it's OK.

Edutainment is what you're going for because your job is not to teach.

This isn't curriculum.

This is making information fun and easy to understand so that people who really care

about it they can go on and learn more.

If the idea is that someone is coming to you for entertainment then what does the educational

value matter?

And if someone is coming to you for learning why not use all of those things that we know

will help people learn it?

The real goal is education?

Now you can tell me.

Oh this is a real goal I want it to be educational and I want it to also be fun.

I want to be part of the larger conversation that's happening on YouTube.

Remember I once asked you how would you feel if I created some sort of interactive material

that was supplemental to your video?

Right.

That was me thinking with my teacher hat on.

Yeah.

Can we test the knowledge.

Can we actually provide something separate from the video to also reinforce the learning.

Do you remember what I said?

I don't.

That sounds like a lot of work.

I struggle so much to try and get one video out a week.

And this is all during off hours.

And the idea of doing that of also creating this curriculum base that will extend upon

every idea here was overwhelming.

Ultimately it comes down to the person recreating that memory in their head many times.

But we can help them do that.

I don't think I am.For me the idea of a one person lecture at the camera isn't the be

all end all of learning something.

And I think it's really important identify what part we want to play.

One of my other favorite videos that I made that a lot of people said have really helped

them to learn something is a video I made about exposure therapy showing people how

you actually do an exposure therapy session with myself doing it on my own exposure to

my fear of bees and that is something you can write about.

You can talk about but you have to see how it actually happens.

That's a video that shows you how to do something which is so much of YouTube.

How to tie a bow tie.

How to tie your shoelaces.

how to fix a router your format and my format are very different in that most of the content

that I produce is like this it's a conversation so that if I say something you can say it

in a different way and that helps the listener see things from a different perspective.

We can go into it a little more depth.

I am assuming that this video will be longer than your usual videos where it's just you.

For me I like the idea of discussion and having critical thinking seeing the critical thinking

happening.

We can tell someone that oh well maybe this maybe that looking at it in perspectives it's

very different than the like you mentioned before the lecture.

Is that any better at teaching people.

Are they actually learning.

I don't know.

It's important to bring up what a learning style is because people talk about that a

lot.

What I'm talking about now is lecture versus maybe discourse or discussion.

There are different learning experiences.

Yeah.

Because the idea of learning styles is bullshit.

Bullshit.

I learn really well by seeing stuff.

Well yeah so does everybody.

But if I test you that's not necessarily gonna show.

It doesn't show up in any in any research.

You also need to check out the learning scientists their blog which is all about how learning

styles don't exist and other strategies that can help you learn.

It really annoys me how hard it is to discover psychology biology chemistry a lot of the

fundamentals of these older sciences you get exposed to in elementary school.

But many people don't get exposed don't have the opportunity to study psychology until

college.

Maybe if you're lucky you have an AP psychology class in high school.

Part of my goal here was to make psychology fun and easy and make it accessible to people

so that's kind of what I told myself because I always put more resources below to learn

more about a topic that goes far more in depth because the other thing I'm not doing is I'm

not going in depth in anything.

That's one of my friendly critiques.

Sometimes of your videos where I'm like well that's

one part of a larger whole.

Your goal isn't to make what is it The Great Courses these 10 hour audiobooks.

However if the great courses wants to hire me.

But you only do short 5 minute videos.

I can make them bigger like this one like.

Like any time you're on the show.

Yeah sorry.

I always like to have a conversation about a topic on most of my content.

I have a female counterpart.

I think there are biases that I do not know that I'm not aware of it right and that are

important to have as part of the discussion but that is a longer discussion.

If you only have five minutes if you can open a door to more understanding you can present

a few ideas and then someone can find it in the video or google it and find way more information

about it.

Is that enough for you?

Are you satisfied with that?

I'm not I'm not satisfied.

This channel is a very narrow vision of what I want my dream has been to have a channel

where there's a new video Monday that's about a topic that a lot of people are talking about.

On Wednesday I'm bring in someone else and we do a live video discussion.

That's a longer format.

And on Friday we take viewer feedback.

It's a much longer and much more in-depth discussion into like one topic.

I would love to do that.

The problem with that is making a video like this takes hours and hours and hours.

This would be a lot easier if this was my full time job but it's not.

So are we teaching anyone anything?

Are they learning?

Have we Have we answered that question?

I don't think we can answer that question.

I think you all can answer that question.

finance YouTuber Connie Porter, which if you're not subscribed to Connie, what's wrong with

Seriously, what's wrong with you?

So Connie and I wanted to talk to you guys about excuses.

Excuses with money, excuses with time, whatever.

They've gotta stop.

Everyone's guilty of this.

No exceptions.

I made excuses as for why I'm so big.

I'd say, oh I'm too busy to work out, or too busy to cook healthy meals, the list

goes on.

But eventually I just had to look in the mirror and realize the reason why I'm fat is because

for the first 27 years of my life I ate deep dish pizzas for dinner pretty much every night.

And the most exercise I ever got was walking to the mailbox which knowing me, probably

contained coupons to get more pizza.

I got myself into this situation and I can get myself out.

It's on me.

No excuses.

Now, I'm making sure exercise is a part of my routine and my diet has vastly improved.

Especially now that I'm debt free and I've got a big emergency fund and I'm investing

well, I'd like to actually be alive for a while to enjoy some of this newfound financial

freedom.

You know what I'm saying?

There's a thought, right?

Let me know down in the comments what some of your biggest excuses are and what you're

doing to correct them.

Don't be scared, this is a no-judgement zone.

It'll be therapeutic, I promise.

One saying that really helps me avoid making excuses and helps with putting excuses into

perspective is this.

We have all the time there is.

We have all the time that exists for as long as we are alive.

It's what we choose to do with it.

When people say, oh I don't have time to do this, oh I don't have time for that.

No.

It's not something you didn't have time for.

It's something that you didn't want or didn't need to allocate time for.

You and I have the same 24 hours in a day that everyone else gets, and it's up to

you how you allocate that.

"Oh, I really want to do yoga on the weekends but I don't have time for it."

No, you could have allocated time for it, but you chose not to because other things

on your weekends were either of higher priority or higher importance for you, personally.

You could have taken a yoga class, but it may have meant sacrificing making dinner for

your kids - higher importance.

Or higher personal priority, you could have gone to yoga but you wanted to catch up on

Game of Thrones to see what your girl Daenerys was up to.

Probably something with dragons and fire, I don't know.

I'm still on season one.

Anyway, the point is that you are in control of your time and if you want to do something

badly enough, you allocate a portion of your time to it.

Same deal with money.

If you want to save up for a vacation, you budget for it, which gives you less money

to use for other things, such as paying off debt or eating out more.

Your income is a number, and you budget based off of that number.

Unless you come into unexpected cash, once that number is zero, that's it.

And it's the people who have trouble saying "that's it" who fall into a cycle of

debt.

So don't be those people!

And if you are one of those people, stop it!

It's not too late.

You may take a look at how you're allocating your time throughout the day and decide you're

spending your time just as it should be.

Same with your budget.

If you take a good hard look at your budget and your financial goals and you decide you're

allocating your income just the way you should be to reach your goals, then congratulations!

You're no longer making excuses.

You're happening to your money and your time instead of it happening to you.

You're executing a plan, not reacting to whatever.

And that's the way you do it.

No excuses.

depreciation and I'm just really excited for this one it is straight-line

depreciation examples not talk about the example in a second and we'll get

started I'll try to start the video fast I'll try not make this long but we all

know how that usually go through this I just blew a little bit but I've been

doing it I've been just like talking about you know like the theory or

whatever about a certain subject I did you know accumulated appreciation and

appreciation and I would straight-line differentiation then we did del

declining balance with residual values all kind of guidance without residual

value so now I just want to do I just read you an example this one you know

we're just going to do an example and then hopefully we can you you can use

some of the tools that I that I've taught you and so the tools I touch

calligraphy enforce might sell fun by looking at all these different videos

and yeah so let's get started and let's get started all right

what's the problem what's the problem sir sir go what's the problem what's

let you know I wrote it out exactly as it was in the book I have here so we're

see I don't have the the answers written out yet so you can you can think about

beginning of year at a cost of one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars

with an estimated useful life of ten years and an estimated residual value of

five thousand dollars what do we what do we want to keen on for depreciation what

do we need we need the cost so what is depreciation only we're trying to

expense it over a period of time thus audacity expense it over a period of

time so we want to do it you know equally or accelerated or in this this

case straight-line I would think it'd be very like basic or like if you think

about it what do you need to know how to depreciate well you definitely need to

know how much it cost I ain't come on or you definitely I know how much the

things cost right I mean please so so the other thing

you're going to need to know is how far to depreciate it what is what is the

book value going to be when you're done with it or what's the residual value or

you know when you're done with when you're done using this week this

equipment in your business what's it going to be worth when it's all done

that's the residual value so you're going to have to know what that is

because you're not going to want to depreciate the equipment further than

that so if you're going to have to know the residual value of 5,000 and you're

going to have to know once you figure out the amount to depreciate how how

many years so you have to figure out the the pre-event appreciable value how many

you know years to divide that by or how many years to appreciate that by sorry

ten years does anybody remember the straight-line formula it's what what is

the straight line formula now I don't even I have a draw written down haven't

done it in a couple days or a week whatever but so I'm thinking I just

picked out these three things so you're going to need cost right you're going to

cost - residual value / useful life so we have all those things and it said

it's acquired at the beginning of the year because that is that does matter

you know because if you would say what about it half the year you would only

take half the amount of depreciation because you're doing depreciation for

the whole year so you would

I usually if I had months this is a little segue or whatever but if you

don't have a full year I would what would I do i / I would get the ante I

get the annual amount for the full year I divide by 12 so that would make the

monthly amount and then I would multiply it by how many months there is but

that's a little side note if that freaks you out don't worry about it I'm sorry I

even mentioned it but at the beginning you're so you're going to pull your

depreciation here but anyways it wants to know that the three questions are

determined and percival cost be the straight line rate and see the annual

straight-line depreciation alright to answer these is going this is

going to be pretty easy peasy lemon squeeze or we can go to Shawshank

Redemption what's the guy's name bro Brooks

easy peasy japanesey but I'm feeling like the Austin Powers easy peasy lemon

squeezy for this right here alright let's do it the depreciable cost what is

the diversion will cost well they don't tell it to you here but

or do you think it what what what do you think it is remember well you you bought

it for this amount 125,000 the cost minus residual value is the depreciable

cost because that's what you are going to depreciate the item the asset buy so

it would simply be 125 125 thousand minus 5

thousand equalling 120,000 so the pressure will cost is 120 thousand and

that's the answer to a alright straight line rate how we're going to figure this

out here ten years it's ten years what one divided by ten is ten percent that's

the straight line rate because we're trying to figure out the useful life of

ten years right so we're going to do 1 divided by 10 because we're trying to

get per year out of these 10 how to do it so one out of ten that's ten one one

out of ten at ten percent there's going to be ten of them you're eight right 10

20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 yeah boy 10 percent is the straight line rate that's

the answer number B and the annual straight-line depreciation now how we

get that because all day they kind of just led us right into that you know how

would you get the annual straight-line depreciation well it would be our

formula here cost - residual value which is the depreciable cost over the useful

life does that make sense to this you've got now a 125,000 dollars that's an

asset so you don't have any expense yet so it's fill su $125,000 is going to

last you 10 years so you just you know divide one hundred and twenty-five

thousand dollars divided by ten but but these may look good but there's a

residual value of five thousand so you can't depreciate all of that

125,000 you got to save five on the back end so you're just going to do one

hundred and twenty one hundred and twenty thousand dollars and that's right

that's your depreciable value one hundred and twenty thousand dollars

divided right one hundred and twenty K divided by ten years equals is it oh

jesus twelve thousand a year I hope so straight-line depreciation twelve

thousand put GIS I just I just figured it out

because I just second out what does it all mean so yeah if you do twelve

thousand a year for ten years one two three four five six seven eight nine ten

that's gonna be hundred twenty thousand it's going to leave you with five

thousand left over and that's going to be a residual cost all right I believe

that is and that is going to be the end for this one I guess now now I can talk

for a few minutes I mean I want to I want to leave this on a positive note

got to stay positive we got to try to better ourselves okay one foot in front

of the other and I got a comment from someone the other day saying oh he's 32

thing right go back to school and you know uh but he's motivated you watch one

of my earlier videos and stuff and I was thinking yeah that's great now I left a

message directly you know if you're watching this thinking like you can't do

it you can't do this or whatever wherever it has those doubts but you

just got to keep pushing through and I can tell you where I walked into the

community college eight years ago I mean I was scared I was so nervous you know I

had doubts then I had doubt the whole way through I still have doubts today

but I just keep on pushing on and you know that was one of the best decisions

I've ever made my entire life was walking to fit Community College and

tell them I want to be a certified public accountant anyways dreams do come

true I got more dreams I'm always I'm always dreaming big so anyways let's do

this we'll stay positive I hope to see in the next video it's going to be fun

Trans 101: Ep 16 - Dangers of Hormone Replacement Therapy [CC] - Duration: 12:31.

Hi, and welcome to another episode of the trans 101 series today

I'm going to be talking to you about the dangers of Hormone Replacement Therapy

This is a very important topic to talk about in the trans 101 because a lot of parents friends family members, acquaintances all of the above

Even trans people are scared and don't know

what are the dangers of taking testosterone, what are the dangers of taking estrogen

So in this video I'll give you some information and clear some of the

misconceptions and myths that you might have I'm going to start with testosterone

So i have made a video in the past about the changes of testosterone and hormone replacement therapy

and what happens if you'd like information on that

I will link you to the video in the description below and but right now

I'm really just going to focus on

Maybe the more negative aspects of Hormone replacement therapy

So some of the more negative associations with the changes in testosterone are mood changes a lot of people aren't able to cry

And a lot of people are more angry and need a place to release that anger

There is hair loss

There's acne in there's weight gain one aspect that I wasn't aware of is that if you have migraines before hormones going on

Testosterone may increase your migraines the reason why is because migraines are usually more

Frequent when you have your menstrual cycle because the estrogen levels go up and go down

So because you're going to be on testosterone when you are taking your dose of testosterone

Your testosterone levels go high and then go low and then they go high and then they go low, so because every dose you're kind of

You're kind of going high but then it drops and goes high and then it drops so because of that

hormonal fluctuation migraines may be more common if you've already had migraines in the past, but

testosterone does not cause migraines for people who have never had migraines in the past

And please remember that what I'm saying is USUALLY what happens

not every single trans person who is on testosterone will experience these, but I'm just giving you kind of a broad

Understanding and information about what usually happens

so when a person takes Hormone Replacement Therapy like testosterone

They are now at a higher risk of any cardiac issues and the reason for that all right is because you have a higher testosterone level in your body

So your risk of any heart or risk of cardiac issues

is now the same level as cis men

and by that I mean heart attacks and stroke

which is one of the reasons why when you go to your appointments

your doctor usually tells you to stay away from red meat, and stay away from cholesterol

You're trying to lower those down, but they say that to cis men as well

so because your testosterone levels are now higher you are now at a higher risk of any cardiac issues, but

usually you have to look at the men in your family

So your father, your your [in a lower voice] i was gonna say nephews [end of low voice], your uncles and your

Grandparents if they- gr, grandpa if they have ever had any cardiac issues, then you're at a higher risk

But if you have no cardiac issues in your family, then the risk is minimal

But still a good idea to stay away from a lot of red meat from smoking and from Cholesterol

Once somebody is on testosterone your red blood cell count really increases which is a great thing

Because you're able to have more energy you can run up the mountain and be less tired than you were a month ago

which is fantastic

But there is some negative association with that in that your blood becomes thicker

and this is very rare

But it can happen because your blood is thicker you can have a condition where your blood clots

Which is dangerous obviously, but this is very rare

I have never heard of this happening, but it's just logical to think oh your blood is getting thicker

That is usually associated with blood clots like I said once again. I don't to freak anyone out

This is a very rare thing you can actually check that at the doctor to make sure that your blood isn't too thick but usually

From what I have heard if your blood count your red blood cell height is too high your blood is too thick the way to

fix that is to donate blood.

The next aspect atrophy

So when we talk about the vaginal canal and we're talking about the reproductive organ and all that area down there

Estrogen really helps to

plump up and to make everything like nice and good down there in terms of moisture and in terms of

density

So when somebody goes on testosterone is basically like you're going through menopause

So everything kind of dries up down there, and it's not completely dry, It's not like [sucking noises] like crazy dry now

There's still some moisture down there

You can still get wet but you just get wet a little less the reason why I'm talking about this

its because atrophy happens which means that the lining of the walls get thinner

and it becomes more delicate and more sensitive

and it's not sensitive in a good way [joking seductive voice] oooh that's good it's so sensitive, it;s good [end of joking voice]

No, it's sensitive in a bad way where there is a higher increase in

the area bleeding because of the friction

and this causes a lot of irritation when somebody is having sex

which is one of the reasons where if you are on testosterone and you do get penetrated

It is a very good idea to use lube and I would say use a lot of Lube

Just because lube is great

and you should just use it all the time and you should also use protection and the reason I'm saying that is because

Scenario: you are getting penetrated, all right, and it's great and you're having fun

but you didn't use that much lube so the walls because they're not as moist as they should be they're kind of breaking down

like the density not too much

They're very sensitive so they kind of break down and lesions can can happen and bleeding can occur

this is dangerous and why?

Because when you're having sex and there's blood and there is semen and things can happen what happens. There is a higher risk for

STI and HIV transmission, so I don't want to like make a joke and like talk about this lightly

This is very serious

There are a lot a issues with atrophy that many people don't know about

but it does cause some bleeding in some trans men and other

Non-binary folks who have been on testosterone have complained that

they bleed after sex after being penetrated and it's uncomfortable

and it's not fun

Well using Lube and using protection is a great way to reduce the risk of transmission of STIs and or HIV

and is also a very good way to

kind of not reverse the effects, but

kind of go away from-I don't know the word I'm looking for

not bleed basically

As somebody who has experience with this

I can say that it does work doesn't work every time. I have bled in the past when there was lube no idea why

I think it also is associated with if you're having harder sex, then the wall can break down a little easier

And it's not that it is super super painful it's just dry

It's like a dry pain. Yeah. I'm sure you can imagine in your head

It's not very hard to

picture in your head what that would feel like

So the last aspect that I wanna talk about in regards to testosterone, before I move on to estrogen is cancer.

Now there is a very large myth in this community and outside that

Going on testosterone will cause you cancer you will develop cancer and more specifically

ovarian cancer or cancer in the uterus or anywhere in that area

it was recommended in the past from doctors even to get a hysterectomy

Which is the removal of the uterus well,

It's actually a total hysterectomy with oophorectomy so the removal of the uterus the fallopian tubes the cervix and the ovaries

Removing all of that within two to five years of starting testosterone

Just in case just so that you don't develop cancer

well

they have done studies on this and they have realized that that's not the case

testosterone does not actually cause cancer

BUT! I will say that if you are on testosterone you do have a higher risk

of not detecting cancer if you don't get checked

So that's the only thing is not because you're trans, because you're on testosterone you're gonna get cancer

You're at a higher risk no, but I will say that if you don't get Pap test

And you don't get pelvic exam

and you still have all of those organs down there

You-you should get a hysterectomy or get checked

because there are some things that you might miss

you might miss pre-cancer cells

that may develop into cancer cells that you need to remove

But this could also happen to non trans women as well, but also if you are on testosterone and you do get a pap test

Some doctors might miss pre cancer cells because they don't know what to look for especially if you're putting in the

diagram that you're male or female and they don't know which hormones to look at

because testosterone can give you a reading

lIke an abnormal reading in your pap test

So those are just the things that you have to be careful for and make sure that your doctor is aware of these things that

Testosterone can give you a

abnormal reading and that you as yourself, you should be aware if you do not want a hysterectomy

then you should get a pap test and a pelvic exam every two years or

If you don't want to get a pap test or a pelvic exam, then you should get a hysterectomy

Because honestly, not that i'm saying it's dangerous but

you're not checking yourself you have the same risks that cis women would have

and one more thing!

Sorry even if you have had top surgery

it is a good idea to still check for lumps, because not all top surgeries remove all of the breast tissue

they masculinize your chest right, so you need to keep some tissue in order to still have

Pecs Pec muscles and like an area that looks like a pec instead of it more being concave so checking out for lump is also a good idea

Alright now! let's move to hormone replacement therapy we're talking about estrogen

Everything that I'm going to talk to you about in regards to the risks are

Basically the same risks as if a cis woman was taking birth control

So if you look at the pamphlet they talk about how if you smoke, you have an increased chance of developing blood clots

same thing here

and these clots are usually associated with pulmonary embolisms, heart attacks and strokes

with estrogen you feel more emotions

I don't know if that's the negative side effect or not

But I'm just just letting you know that that's the thing that happens same thing as a testosterone if you had migraines before

starting estrogen now that you are on estrogen because of the fluctuation of estrogen in your body

Your migraines may get worse or you may get more of them but estrogen does not cause migraines in people who don't have migraines

So a lot of trans women, who take estrogen also take another medication called

spironolactone

to supress t

this medication is actually also used to lower blood pressure but

But it's somehow also suppresses testosterone which then decreases the erectile function

But this is a medication that is used at the same time as estrogen to suppress the testosterone because testosterone is very

[makes claw like movements with his hand] Very agressive

very strong in the body so sometimes you're taking estrogen isn't enough to suppress all that testosterone so taking this extra medication will help to

supress it even more

So some doctors are hesitant to give trans women or trans feminine individuals looking for estrogen

their prescription if

They have a history of cancer or blood clots with that

WIth that you would just need to do more tests with the doctor and talk about the possibility and

if you smoke, you have to stop smoking a lot of doctors actually require you to stop smoking in order for you to go on testosterone and or estrogen

lot of erectile function can happen that could be a good thing for some people that can

be a bad thing for others

interestingly enough

I did not know this and I don't think that this is a negative effect

but it is important to know, ten years after you started estrogen, so if you've been on estrogen

It is a good idea to think about getting mamograms

because you're on estrogen for so long that you have developed breast tissue

and if you think about it

Not only cis women get breast cancer right cis men also get breast cancer

cis men also get breast cancer

So not that I'm saying that trans women and men are all

I'm just saying everyone can get breast cancer

So it is a good idea after you've been on estrogen for a long time

but

if you started estrogen when you were in your teens, and now you're like 26

you don't have to start thinking about it now

I'm more talking about if you were in like your 30s when you started estrogen and now you're in your 40s

It is a good idea to start thinking about mammograms

Maybe start talking to your doctor about that

alright, that's all that I can think of for now

alright so

I wanted to give you the dangers and what the negative effects of hormones

can give to a person who is in hormone replacement therapy

Hopefully I answered some of your questions

and debunked some of your myths, especially the cancer myth related to uhm, testosterone

that is a very big myth which I actually look more into when I talk about hysterectomies

which I will link in the description below

Disney Movie Sequels You Never Knew Existed - Duration: 6:01.

Long before Disney got involved with Marvel and Star Wars flicks, the studio built its

reputation on animated movies.

Although their animated films tend to be blockbuster releases and earn positive critical reviews,

Disney's sequels are usually direct-to-video...and decidedly lower quality.

Here are a few Disney sequels you might not even know existed.

"You're banning straight-to-video Disney films?"

"Absolutely.

I mean, look at this, 'Aladdin 4: Jafar May Need Glasses'."

Cinderella II: Dreams Come True

"And they lived happily ever after" certainly sounds like a nice way to end an animated

fairy tale, but some people want to know what comes after that.

That's why Disney decided to make a sequel to Cinderella in 2002 - more than 50 years

after the original film.

It might've garnered an abysmal Rotten Tomatoes score of 11 percent, but that didn't stop

the studio from making a third installment, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, which was

at least better than its predecessor.

It released in 2007, it miraculously earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 71 percent and

accumulated almost $92 million in home video sales.

At least some Disney executives got their happily ever after, even if our childhoods

didn't.

Return to Never Land

Almost 50 years after the first Peter Pan film released in theaters, Disney released

a theatrical sequel, Return to Never Land.

Just like the first film, the sequel is partially based on J.M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy.

It follows the events of When Wendy Grew Up: An Afterthought, an additional scene Barrie

added to his Peter Pan play.

And that afterthought probably should have stayed in Never Land.

Return to Never Land received generally poor reviews, but it still raked in almost $110

million worldwide on an estimated $20 million production budget.

Disney opted not to pursue another sequel, but the story did spawn the Jake and the Never

Land Pirates spinoff TV series on Disney Junior.

An Extremely Goofy Movie

This sequel to 1995's A Goofy Movie follows Goofy and Max as they both head to college

to earn their undergraduate degrees…. which already sounds like a pretty awful premise.

How did a guy like Goofy pass the basic admissions process anyhow?

Are we supposed to assume it's on some kind of musical scholarship?

Attending the same college as your Goofy father isn't exactly the greatest idea in the world,

setting up all kinds of conflict and, well, goofiness.

Since the films are technically a spinoff of the TV series Goof Troop and continue the

story of Goofy and Max years later, An Extremely Goofy Movie effectively acts as Goof Troop's

series finale.

Interestingly, the sequel is a rare case of a direct-to-video Disney sequel rating slightly

higher than its predecessor, but by the year 2000, America's youth were just goofed out.

The Jungle Book 2

It's rare for a Disney sequel to open theatrically, but most critics believe Disney would've been

better off just sending The Jungle Book 2 straight to DVD, or maybe the garbage.

Produced by Disney Toon Studios, The Jungle Book 2 released in 2003, 36 years after the

first Jungle Book movie.

It starred John-Rhys Davies, Phil Collins, and John Goodman, as well as young up-and-comers

Haley Joel Osment and Mae Whitman.

Despite being a worldwide box office success, grossing $135 million on an estimated $20

million production budget, the film didn't strike a chord with audiences the same way

the original film did.

Fortunately, it looks like Disney got back on the critics' good side with 2016's live-action

remake.

Kronk's New Groove

Disney released this direct-to-video sequel-slash-spinoff to The Emperor's New Groove in 2005, five

years after the original film.

The sequel takes place after the events of the first movie and follows Yzma's former

henchman, Kronk.

That's not to say the Emperor isn't in the movie at all — he actually narrates the

tale about Kronk's journey to win his father's approval.

"I'm nice now!

Didn't you see the first movie?

Yehehaaay!

A 50-foot me!"

Despite the talented voice cast — David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt, and Patrick

Warburton — returning for the sequel, critics heavily criticized the film for its lack of

originality and, well, groove.

Whereas the original film received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song, Kronk's

New Groove failed to produce even one decent song... at least according to the critics.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Beauty and the Beast is one of the most beloved Disney films of all time, with critics like

Roger Ebert hailing it as a magical tale in the same league as Pinocchio and Snow White.

Considering the first film was the first animated movie ever to be nominated for Best Picture

at the Academy Awards, it's disheartening to see that its sequel was universally panned

by critics.

Although technically a sequel, Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas takes place

within the events of the first Beauty and the Beast film, not long after the Beast rescues

Belle from the wolves

Disney moved forward with yet another follow-up, Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World,

one year after The Enchanted Christmas, set shortly after the events of The Enchanted

Christmas.

As with the previous installment, Belle's Magical World received poor reviews.

Maybe two more movies about a monster with rage issues and sassy appliances imprisoning

a lady was too much for kids.

Harvest Vibration Calibration on InCommand™ 1200 - Duration: 2:19.

In this video we will cover how to perform a vibration calibration.

The vibration calibration is required for the flow sensor to read grain flow accurately.

This calibration allows the system to take into account the shaking of the combine while

in operation.

The vibration calibration must be performed prior to harvesting.

When loading the configuration for the first time, it will prompt you to perform the vibration

calibration.

Tap the harvest app from the home screen, select the combine that we created, and tap

the next arrow.

Next, select a grower, farm, and field and tap the next arrow.

Select a product, if the product is not listed in the drop down, we'll need to create one.

For this example we'll use corn and tap the next arrow.

We will not use variety tracking for this tutorial so we will not change anything on

this screen and tap the green check.

After the variety tracking screen, it will prompt you for the vibration calibration if

this configuration and product combination have not been calibrated.

In order to perform an effective vibration calibration, we need to have the appropriate

header attached.

Engage the separator and header and increase the machine to full throttle.

Once the machine is at full throttle, tap the green start button.

That will start the 1 minute counter.

Once the minute has expired, tap the green check.

The vibration calibration is complete.

Now you may begin the moisture and weight calibration.

Header Height Calibration on InCommand Display - Duration: 2:18.

In this video, we will calibrate the header height sensor.

Header Height Calibration is necessary for the display to know when to turn area logging

on and off.

Having the area logging turn off when the header is raised, will eliminate extra data

points being logged with zero yield.

Next we need to calibrate the Header Height sensor so it can accurately toggle logging

on and off.

To begin this, press the setup app.

Select the appropriate configuration from the list, we'll select the one we just created

and press the wrench in the middle.

This brings up the Configuration Setup screen, press the Calibrate Header Sensor button.

Raise the head of the combine all the way up as far as it will go.

Press the Set Maximum button.

Now lower the head to the ground and press the Set Minimum button.

These two settings define the range of movement for the header sensor.

Press the next arrow to continue.

Now we need to tell the display the height at which you want area logging to turn on

and off.

For this example we are calibrating the stop height for harvesting corn, so raise the header

to the height at which you'll be harvesting.

Press the Set Height button, the head position will now display as "down".

As you raise the head above the set point, the display will change to read "up".

Remember, you must complete the header sensor calibration for each type of grain you will

harvest.

Press the green check mark to accept the calibration.

Now you know how to calibrate the header sensor to be able to turn logging on and off based

off whether the header is up or down.

Harvest Run Screen on InCommand™ Displays - Duration: 1:37.

In this tutorial, we will point out different items on the Harvest run screen that can be

very helpful when harvesting or troubleshooting.

It is important to know where these items are located to be able to properly monitor

harvest functionality and be able to quickly identify issues.

With a harvest event loaded, the first thing to point out is the addition of the bushel

counter on the left.

These are two counters that just count wet bushels and are not recorded.

For example these can be used to keep track of how much is in the grain tank on the combine

and how much is in the truck.

They are simply reset by tapping the counter.

The next item is the harvest diagnostics in the lower right.

If you tap the combine, it will open the diagnostics window.

These values are helpful when troubleshooting an issue.

Tap the back arrow.

By tapping the wet/dry toggle in the bottom of the status items, you can toggle between

viewing wet and dry bushels.
