the Beta Church Initiative - a Church Plant Reimagined for Our World Today - Duration: 11:54.
hi my name is Daniel and I'm with the Beta Church Initiative.
For the past two years, we've been working on a unique church plant (preparing to start a new church)
it's unique in that we wanted to reimagine what the church, the body of Christ,
could look like in our world today. How believers could faithfully and
biblically gather together and live out their lives to reflect Jesus Christ in
this constantly changing world. I gotta say we're super grateful to God for
calling us into this awesome journey and we're really excited to share with you
our friends and family in Christ about this church plant initiative, as we take
our first official step towards the launch of the Beta Church
during my time as a youth pastor, I would hear testimonies about how God
reached out to this next generation. and often included Christian YouTube videos
conversations with their friends through Facebook Messenger or just articles that
they read online and this was how God was reaching out to them. Also many of
their struggles and temptations were tightly connected with their lives online.
gossips and bullying would happen through Instagram finstas,
Snapchat and group chats. Their dreams would get distorted with greed and envy
by their daily feed. And a really serious destructive problem with online porn
addiction and some online gaming communities that were very violent
graphic and just dark. See, the world that we live in today is changing very fast
Facebook YouTube Twitter Instagram Snapchat. They all emerged just within
the last 15 years. So the way we interact with the world were a part of has
drastically changed. Just a few years ago we didn't have the technology to video
chat and broadcast live from our phones. But today, with all this technology around
us our lives online and offline are seamlessly woven together
In the past, people would learn about the world through the physical communities
they were a part of. Their values and philosophies were shaped by their
parents school friends church. but now teenagers they go online to
learn about the world they're a part of and it's the digital landscape drawn out for
them that shapes their worldview.
The Beta Church Initiative is all about us
reimagining how a gathering of believers could faithfully and biblically reflect
Jesus Christ in this world today.
In this world where the average millennial
spends about 53 hours a week online and possibly more for the younger generations
The world is expanding to the digital space.
People's lives, businesses education leisure forums shopping all these other things
they're migrating online and we have to recognize that the call for us to be the
light of salt of the world, it now extends to the online world.
now there are a growing number of churches and ministries that are pushing for a
stronger online presence and some even developing online campuses.
we at the Beta Church Initiative wanted to completely reexamine and reimagine how
we could be a church that gathers and operates natively online. how to weave
our physical communities and our daily lives as followers of Jesus Christ with
the online world. Now, this presented us with a unique and difficult challenge.
We were committed to the biblical teachings of gathering together and we wanted to
uphold the nuances and wisdom of the traditional church. Yet somehow reformat it
not just to be more relevant to our lives today but also more biblical.
So for the past two years, we've been studying the Bible again and again
we looked at different versions of ecclesiology and we spoke with many pastors and
seminary professors really to develop that strong biblical base
we also engaged in conversations with those in the tech industries and in the social network
companies to gain a better understanding of how we could use the online space to
fit the ministries of the church online.
So our first step is to reach out to people online
mainly through these three projects
Our first and foremost project is going to be the "Meet Jesus" project
we believe this is at the heart of the church
to tell people about Jesus and to help them meet Jesus.
so we're going to be posting some videos online and resources that would
help people get to know Jesus and also help them connect with us or other churches.
so that they can have some help on their journey towards Jesus Christ
we're also planning on rolling out weekly devotional videos on social
network platforms. It's going to be the 'Jesus Said' project and this is going to
look at the chronological life of Jesus everything that Jesus, the Word of God,
said while he was here with us on earth and this is just our way of really
devoting ourselves to Jesus, loving everything about him, getting to know
more about him. And we're hoping that this will not only help non-Christians but
also Christians to get to know Jesus more and to see how powerful the Word of God can be
and lastly, free online counseling. we wanted to create a safe space for
people to share their struggles receive spiritual care or just chat. we're making
certain times slots available each week for people to reserve and they can
reserve that either through our Facebook page or on our website.
so as we connect with people
through these projects and form relationships we're praying that
God would use these to bring people to Christ. And once we have a group of
people that are willing to gather each Sunday to worship together that would be
the launch of the Beta Church
so, for our Sunday gatherings, each member will be
encouraged to live out their faith and to embrace the Great Commission of Jesus
Christ in their lives. to make disciples of all nations baptizing in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit
and to teach them all the things that Jesus commanded them
so each member will be encouraged to open up their homes.
Invite their families friends co-workers neighbors
and have that fellowship and afterwards each member will gather online via
video conferencing to worship together. Throughout the week those who have
undergone the membership process would prepare the worship together so that
every member would have a part in this worship service. And then on Sundays
each member with their house churches would gather online and worship together in real time
we would also then take the video feed of this video conference and
broadcast it live on different social network platforms so that anybody that wants to
visit or sit in our worship service will be able to do so and hopefully by then we'll
have members who will engage these visitors online and help
them to come to know Jesus Christ and join the church. so for each member
their house church will be a tight-knit community and we'll all be united in
Spirit as we worship together and do different ministries for the church
together. We would also gather throughout the week for different meetings like
prayer meetings, Bible studies or membership training. just to think about
the endless possibilities, it's really exciting to just think about what God
could do when we gather together and bring our resources and our talents for God's Kingdom.
and as each member grows and develops their house church, we believe
that will naturally lead to leadership elders and deacons rising up and that
will move us into the next phase of our church
Now obviously this is a plan
we believe that this is a plan that God has led us to but we also know that this is
a new venture and we realize it's gonna have to go through a lot of revisions
and changes. but we think that's the part that's natural for a church. for the
church to be flexible and fluid so that it could engage the world that they're a
part of. so in a sense this is our beta testing of the church for the modern world.
thus the name, the Beta Church
we would like to invite you, our brothers and
sisters in Christ, to partner with us and join us in this initiative. now for those
of you who, may be partnership is a little too much but you would love to stay
updated and keep us in your prayers, we would greatly appreciate that and so you
can follow us on our Facebook page or sign up for the newsletters on our
website and we'll send you periodic updates with prayer requests. and love to
have to be a part of the Beta Church in that way
but for those of you, maybe God is nudging you or God is placing
this interest upon your heart, we would love for you to join us as partners
mainly in these four ways
Prayer Partners. we'll be gathering every other
Saturday at 5:00 p.m. Pacific time through a group video chat and we're
gonna be praying and lifting up every part of this ministry together. we want
God to be steering our church in every direction
that He desires and so we're gonna be lifting up every part of this ministry
and even bring to God some people that we're reaching out to. and we would
really love for you to partner with us in this way. we believe that God would
really steer and shape this ministry through this prayer partnership.
Creative Partners
we would love to collaborate with you in music photography
videography or any form of art really to create content to deliver, to communicate
the gospel to the people to help them connect with their Creator
Financial Partners. we would like to invite you to let your finances become a
spiritual asset for God's kingdom. we're crowdfunding the whole entire
Beta Church Initiative and we're also looking for monthly supporters and later on
we'll have opportunities for you to become a donor for different ministries
that we'll do towards the poor, the sick, orphans and widows. things that God has called us
to do as a church
Project Partners. we don't have any projects yet as we're just
starting up the church but later when we have projects like disaster relief
projects, awareness projects, community outreaches, missions, we would love for
you to partner with us or for us to partner with you on just kingdom
ministries as the body of Christ and just to really pull our resources
together for those things. so once we have projects we'll post them on our
Facebook page and we would love for you to partner with us in that way
so that's it we're super excited just to get this rolling out. and it'd be awesome if

AND I DON'T CARE WHAT LIFE YOU HAVE OR WHOSE LIFE YOU HAD,
YOU WOULD STILL GO THROUGH SOME OF THAT.
I HAVE GOT AN AMAZING LIFE BUT I'M GONNA BE REALLY HONEST WITH
YOU AND TELL YOU THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I GET TIRED OF DOING
WHAT I'M DOING.
NOW, AND YOU KNOW, THAT'S ALMOST HARD TO SAY BECAUSE I'M SO

STUFF TO GET TO WHERE YOU'RE AT AND NOBODY WAS CLAPPING
AND CHEERING FOR YOU THEN, AMEN?
THE TEST OF LITTLE THINGS.
GOD TAUGHT ME SO MANY LESSONS IN THE EARLY DAYS OF MY WALK
WITH HIM.
I DIDN'T GET TO GO TO BIBLE COLLEGE.
I DIDN'T EVEN REALLY GET TO GO TO REGULAR COLLEGE
BUT I TELL YOU WHAT.
I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SCHOOL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
AND I WILL TELL YOU THAT NO MATTER WHERE YOU'RE AT, IF
YOU'RE OPEN TO GOD, HE WILL USE WHATEVER'S GOING ON IN YOUR
EVERYDAY LIFE TO HELP YOU MATURE AND GROW UP AND HE
CAN TAKE ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING AND TEACH YOU AN AMAZING
SPIRITUAL LESSON OUT OF IT.
NOW, I'VE TOLD THESE STORIES AND SO I'M NOT GONNA TAKE TOO LONG
TO DO IT, BUT PASTOR MIKE REMINDED ME TONIGHT, HE SAID,
"BOY, SOME OF YOUR STORIES FROM THE EARLY DAYS WOULD FIT IN
REALLY GOOD HERE."
YOU SEE, I DIDN'T KNOW--I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO BE A PERSON
OF INTEGRITY.
I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO BE A PERSON OF EXCELLENCE.
AND GOD REALLY WANTED ME TO BE THAT BECAUSE WE'RE NOT VALUABLE
TO GOD IF WE'RE NOT EXCELLENT AND FULL OF INTEGRITY AND IF WE
DON'T KNOW HOW TO KEEP OUR WORD AND DO WHAT WE SAID
WE'RE GONNA DO.
GOD WANTS US TO BE HONEST PEOPLE, DOESN'T HE, AMEN?
AND SO MY PARENTS DIDN'T TEACH ME THAT.
BUT GOD TAUGHT ME.
AND THE PLACE WHERE HE STARTED TEACHING ME OF ALL PLACES WAS
WHEN I WAS, I GUESS I WAS ABOUT 36 THEN AND THAT'S BEEN
A WHILE AGO.
HE WAS--I WENT TO THE GROCERY STORE EVERY 2 OR 3 DAYS AND HAD
A FAMILY THAT I WAS FEEDING AND COOKING FOR AND DOING
ALL KINDS OF STUFF.
AND GOD STARTED TEACHING ME LESSONS ABOUT BEING FAITHFUL
IN LITTLE THINGS WHEN I WAS IN THE GROCERY STORE.
AND ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS I REMEMBER HIM DEALING WITH ME
ABOUT WAS TELLING ME--PUTTING IN MY HEART THAT WHEN I GOT MY
GROCERIES AND I TOOK THEM OUT TO THE CAR AND PUT THEM IN THE
TRUNK, THAT I NEEDED TO TAKE THE GROCERY CART BACK AND PUT IT
IN THE SPACE MARKED OFF FOR GROCERY CARTS.
NOT LEAN IT AGAINST SOMEBODY ELSE'S CAR.
NOW THIS IS SAD BUT I'M GONNA BE HONEST WITH YOU.
IT TOOK ME 2 YEARS TO GET TO THE POINT WHERE I DID IT EVERY TIME.
I WOULD DO IT SOMETIMES IF THE WEATHER WAS GOOD.
I WOULD DO IT SOMETIMES IF I WASN'T IN A BIG HURRY.
BUT I'M TELLING YOU TO DO IT EVERY TIME, NO MATTER
HOW INCONVENIENT IT WAS, C'MON, I'M TALKING TO YOU.

FOR ALL THIS STUFF SO NOW YOU GOTTA START TAKING SOME
OF THE STUFF OUT OF THE CART BUT INSTEAD OF GOING AND PUTTING IT
ALL BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT, WHICH WOULD BE PROBABLY 12 DIFFERENT

BROTHER-IN-LAW WERE ALL KILLED IN A BATTLE.
NOW, RUTH WAS FROM ANOTHER LAND OTHER THAN
WHERE SHE WAS AT RIGHT NOW.
SHE WAS NOT A BELIEVER IN JEHOVAH GOD.
HER MOTHER-IN-LAW NOW HAD NO HUSBAND, BOTH OF HER SONS WERE
DEAD, AND SHE WAS GONNA GO BACK TO HER HOME COUNTRY.
SHE WAS A BELIEVER IN THE ONE TRUE GOD.
SO SHE TOLD HER DAUGHTER-IN-LAWS, "BOTH OF YOU
JUST NEED TO GO BACK HOME BECAUSE I'M NOT GONNA HAVE ANY
MORE SONS AND, YOU KNOW, I DON'T REALLY HAVE ANYTHING FOR YOU.
I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY, I DON'T HAVE ANY--"
WELL, THE ONE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW DID, BUT RUTH SAID,
"I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU.
WHERE YOU GO I WILL GO.
YOUR GOD WILL BE MY GOD.
I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU."
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL CHOOSE DIFFICULTY JUST TO PROVE
THEMSELVES FAITHFUL TO SOMEBODY?
YOU KNOW, THE BIBLE SAYS THAT MOSES WAS FAITHFUL
IN ALL OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD.
GOD IS FAITHFUL.
JESUS WAS OUR FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST.
AND FAITHFULNESS IS SOMETHING THAT WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT
A LITTLE BIT MORE, I THINK.
I THINK WE ALL KNOW THAT WE LIVE IN A WORLD TODAY WHERE PEOPLE
DON'T--AREN'T REALLY VERY GOOD AT KEEPING THEIR WORD.
THEY DON'T KEEP APPOINTMENTS, THEY DON'T CALL TO SAY
WHY THEY CAN'T COME OR IF THEY'RE NOT COMING.
PEOPLE ARE LATE ALL THE TIME.
I GUESS JUST TO SAY IT AND GET IT OVER WITH, I MEAN, WE'VE
GOTTA BE VERY CAREFUL THAT WE DON'T GET SLOPPY WITH THE REST
OF THE WORLD AND NOT BE THE KIND OF PEOPLE THAT GOD
WANTS US TO BE.
AND I DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE THE ONLY PERSON YOU KNOW THAT'S
DOING WHAT'S RIGHT, IF YOU KEEP DOING WHAT'S RIGHT, LET ME TELL
YOU SOMETHING, YOU ARE GONNA BE THE ONE WHO'S GONNA GET
A REWARD.
SO RUTH MADE A DECISION THAT WAS DIFFERENT THAN HER OTHER
SISTER-IN-LAW BUT SHE DID THE RIGHT THING.
NOW, THEY GOT TO THE PLACE WHERE THEY WERE GOING AND THERE WAS
A WEALTHY MAN THERE NAMED BOAZ.
ACTUALLY, HE WAS THE WEALTHIEST MAN IN THE COUNTRY AND HE WAS
SOME KIND OF A RELATIVE OF NAOMI WHO WAS RUTH'S MOTHER-IN-LAW.
AND SO I'M GONNA START READING HERE IN RUTH 2, VERSE 8:
"THEN BOAZ SAID TO RUTH, LISTEN, MY DAUGHTER, DO NOT GO GLEAN IN
ANOTHER FIELD OR LEAVE THIS ONE, BUT STAY HERE CLOSE
BY MY MAIDENS."
NOW, THE GLEANING THING WE MIGHT NOT UNDERSTAND UNLESS I EXPLAIN
IT SO GOD ALWAYS MADE SURE THAT HE TOOK CARE
OF THE POOR BACK THEN.
THERE WERE ACTUALLY LAWS AND RULES ABOUT THE WAY THE POOR
HAD TO BE TAKEN CARE OF.
AND EVERY PERSON WHO HAD A CROP AND HAD A FIELD THAT--WHERE
CROPS CAME UP AND THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL, BY LAW THEY HAD
TO LEAVE--THEY COULDN'T REAP THE HARVEST FROM THE CORNERS
OF THE FIELD.
THEY HAD TO LEAVE THAT THERE FOR THE POOR.
AND SO WHEN THE WORKERS WOULD BE DONE FOR THE DAY, THEN THE POOR
PEOPLE WOULD COME IN AND THEY WOULD GLEAN IN THOSE FIELDS
AND THAT'S WHAT THEY WOULD HAVE FOR THEIR FOOD.
SO BOAZ SAID TO RUTH, "DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE AND GLEAN.
YOU CAN GLEAN HERE IN MY FIELD."
"WATCH WHICH FIELD THEY REAP IN, AND THEN FOLLOW THEM.
HAVE I NOT CHARGED THE YOUNG MEN NOT TO MOLEST YOU?"
SO HE'S GOING OUT OF HIS WAY NOW TO MAKE SURE SHE DOESN'T
GET HURT, TO MAKE SURE THAT SHE HAS SOME FOOD.
WHY IS BOAZ, THE RICHEST MAN IN THE COUNTY, ALL OF A SUDDEN
SHOWING HER FAVOR?
WELL, I THINK IT GOES ALL THE WAY BACK TO HER FAITHFULNESS
TO STAY WITH HER MOTHER-IN-LAW.

YOU KNOW, GOD IS ENCOURAGING US THROUGH PEOPLE.
HE'S DOING THINGS FOR US THROUGH PEOPLE.
BUT DO YOU KNOW WHAT MY FEAR IS?
THAT WE DON'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE LITTLE THINGS
THAT GOD DOES.
WE'RE SO FOCUSED ON THIS BIG THING THAT'S NOT HAPPENING YET,
THAT WE DON'T SEE ALL THE LITTLE THINGS THAT GOD DOES FOR YOU.
AND I WANT YOU TO BEGIN TO WATCH IN YOUR LIFE FOR THE HANDFULS
ON PURPOSE THAT GOD LEAVES ALONG YOUR PATH, THE FAVOR
THAT HE GIVES YOU THAT I BELIEVE IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED
TO OUR FAITHFULNESS, OUR LEVEL OF INTEGRITY, AND KEEPING
OUR COMMITMENTS TO GOD.

Welcome back to our channel
Today's vlog is all about booty,
my leg day
and all the experiences i had after 2 years
As you know, i've started my fitness journey for 2 years
Before i start, i only weight 43kg
and my body type was skinny fat
it's mean: your body looked very skinny but there's lots of fats in every single part of your body
i'm gonna show you my transformation
the 1st picture is when i only 43kg
at that time, i really didn't have booty at all and looked very flat
That's why i had motivation to started gym and changed my body
The 2nd picture is after 5 months since i first started
The booty's size was still the same
but i could see the differences that: it got in shape and became rounder
and then i had to keep moving and worked hard
but sometime, i lost my motivation cause i wondered
why i didn't see the result, why it didn't bigger
and i always looked at myself in the mirror everyday
Now i realized that, i should't did that
cause it's gonna make you despondent and give up easily
so this stage is important and require a trong patience
the last picture is me at the moment
i'm now 50kg
i can feel and see my booty is really growing slowly and bigger than before
now, i wanna share with you all the things that i reget in the past
that's when i did not do any research when i started gym
and wasted my time without any results
1. I never squeezed my booty
Squeeze your booty while training is very very important
as it help to create pressure on the muscle and make it growing
At that time, i just keep doing sets by sets without squeezing
so for the first 3 months, my body was still the same
and it did waste lots of my time
2. Everyday is leg day and booty day
and i skipped all the other parts
it was a bad decision
all the muscles are just like us
they still need to rest after working
and take time to recuperate
so the muscles can grow in the better way and faster
if we keep putting heavy pressure days by days
the muscles couldn't recuperate and will stop growing
3. Not eating clean and skip meals
Before, i just ate everything i want, everything i like
i didn't research about eating clean and the benefits of them
i ate all the oily food, deep-fry food, fats
it made my body fat even increased
also affected my result as well

4. Training in a wrong form
My form was wrong 100% and i had no idea what's right, what's wrong
i'm gonna insert another video clips
which were filmed on my very first days when i started gym
it's look very funny
my body was shaking a lots when i squat the 20kg barbell
in this video, you can see how skinny me and Chien were when we started gym (2015)
1 more experience that i've gone through is
the time when we were the beginers
is really important and require patience
i received few messages from my friends
and asked me: the reasons why they trained for 1 week, 1 month already but still didn't have result
and the answer is gym only count years by years
and it take a long time for us to see it clearly
it's not about you train today and after 1 night of sleep ,you can see the differences
i used to be very lazy
In a week, me and Chien only train 2 days
we were both super lazy and didn't want to go to gym
and also all the exercises we trained were wrong
i'm gonna show you guy this
the gym club have the online app showing the visit history
how many days in a month, a week that i came into the gym
so i can show you the evidence of the time when i just started
Here is 9 visits
from 9/2015 to 10/2015
the average is 2 days/week
Following to my usual schedule, i usually train leg 2 days a week
it's Monday and Friday
and 1 day i'll focus more on the glutes
the other day i'll focus more on leg (hamstring, quads)
so today is the glutes day
