Why Hollywood Won't Cast Adrian Grenier Much Anymore - Duration: 4:45.

Adrian Grenier is best known for portraying up-and-coming movie star Vincent Chase in

HBO's Hollywood bro comedy Entourage.

But while Chase became an A-list superstar, Grenier has fallen off the radar.

So, why hasn't life imitated art for this actor?

Here's why Adrien doesn't get many movie offers anymore.

Tough typecasting

Post-Entourage, Grenier has struggled to shake off the high-rolling party-boy typecast, with

the shadow of Vincent Chase seemingly destined to hang over him for the remainder of his

career.

The nature of playing an actor in a show meant that there was always a danger of people blurring

the line between the real actor and the character.

Grenier said of the confusion, "It's funny because what people don't know is I too wish

that I was Vince.

I'm not, I play the character.

At the end of the day, I go home and I'm me.

I share that fantasy as well—have a lifestyle with no consequences?

Sounds great!"

Getting greedy

Grenier's best shot at solidifying himself as a genuine movie star came when he was given

the chance to front the Entourage movie, but the project was fraught with setbacks.

By the time the movie came out, in 2015, the show was a fading memory and the film flopped

both with the critics and at the box office.

According to producer Mark Wahlberg, the cast was to blame for so many delays.

"Mark when's the Entourage movie coming out?"

"As soon as them guys stop being so greedy."

Grenier took the sleight personally, writing on Instagram, "I take my role as Vince on

the show and off very seriously.

All decisions I make personally and for business are for the principle of friendship and brotherhood.

It has, and never will be about the money for me, I promise."

The actor went on to defend his refusal to sign a deal, claiming he was holding out until

his castmates received similarly lucrative offers, but whatever the reason, the fact

that the film failed so spectacularly meant that Grenier's time on top as Vinnie Chase

was officially over.

Making music

In his spare time, Grenier plays in two New York-based rock bands.

The multi-talented actor sings lead vocals for Kid Friendly, though his other group The

Honey Brothers have had a little more exposure, largely because of their bizarre sound—they

call themselves a glam rock ukulele band.

"With all these people defining things, we just figured we'd give it a stab but I don't

know how accurate we were."

Grenier used the money he made on Entourage to fulfill a lifelong dream of opening his

own studio.

The "wreckroom" started as a personal hub for Grenier and his friends to jam, but the

unique space he created became so popular with local artists that it soon grew into

a fully fledged label.

Wreckroom Records became completely free for bands to use, and Grenier and his team will

also make you a music video without charging a cent.

Environmental advocacy

Grenier also spends a lot of his time on philanthropic causes and has a particular passion for green

living.

He has previously hosted environmental awareness show Alter Eco for Planet Green TV and tried

to launch an app called EcoHero, that would allow the user to see a product's carbon footprint

by scanning its barcode.

He later founded SHFT, the organization responsible for the Mobile Kitchen Classroom healthy eating

initiative that serves youths across all five boroughs of New York.

Essentially, he drives a big truck around showing kids how to make fruit and vegetables

bearable.

Grenier is also the co-founder of the Lonely Whale Foundation, which was inspired by a

documentary that Grenier produced called 52: The Search for the Loneliest Whale.

The film followed a crew of scientists and filmmakers on an expedition to find a rare

species of whale that lives its entire life in solitude because the frequencies it sings

at cannot be heard by other whales.

The ambitious Kickstarter project started generating buzz when fellow greenie Leonardo

DiCaprio donated $50,000 to Grenier's effort, and the expedition went ahead.

But whether they found the world's loneliest whale or not remains a mystery—the documentary

missed its planned 2016 release date and has yet to see the light of day.

Action hero flop

Grenier recently attempted to follow in the footsteps of Entourage producer Mark Wahlberg

by reinventing himself as a no nonsense tough guy in the 2017 action thriller Arsenal.

But the film fell flat on its face.

Its generic VOD fodder wasn't fooling anyone, only managing an embarrassing four percent

rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Arsenal was Grenier's second botched attempt at reinventing himself in as many years.

He also also failed to impress in 2016 bank robbery flick Marauders.

Try and try again

Adrien Grenier might have had some trouble establishing himself outside of his Entourage,

but the actor isn't done trying just yet.

He's set to star in a political thriller called Public Affairs, about an inexperienced campaign

aide who finds himself in hot water after sleeping with the wife of a presidential candidate.

"I don't care if it wastes my time."

"I will change the perception."

And if the film doesn't pan out, he'll still have his hand full with his new dream role

as a United Nations Environmental Goodwill Ambassador.

Even if he never stages a comeback like Vinnie Chase did in the show, he can still help to

save the world.

Accounting for Beginners #66 / Double Declining Balance Depreciation / Solve Problem - Duration: 10:17.

yo yo yo yo welcome back CPA strength I don't mind I'm in my field to

date and I don't even know what it is though it's like 5 a.m. I'm pushing

around pumping I'm getting a video out on my all do a video man is what it is a

do this I am CTA strength I am the list strongest licensed CPA in the state of

Florida the whole entire states a big all state on the strongest person I'm a

strong a CPA in a whole state yeah and I also have hold on I got better than that

I have a playlist over here with this card it's the best accounting playlist

in the world it will make all your dreams come true it will step you up in

life and everything ever your dreams come true everything you'll see unicorns

and rainbows and eat Pixy sticks and ice cream no calories all that good stuff we

are here for special order order sissy sis any Jason should go home friends I'm

not order a sissy cysts and any money I'm just this is just number 66 order

sissy sits anyways what is number 66 besides after 65 in the classic series

right it's a double declining balance depreciation example what yeah yeah

let's go get up and 65 it came from here 65 we get up we did a straight line a

straight line example and oh I know it was twelve thousand a year I believe

straight line with these same facts was twelve thousand dollars for the first

year relevant that it event twelve thousand dollars for ten years so every

single year straight line would have been twelve thousand dollars I just want

you to know that because this is the exact same facts I didn't change any of

these facts from sixty five easy video for me to write but

um I wanted to just have the same fact to show you that straight line was

twelve was twelve thousand when seven twelve thousand every single year now

with double declining balance and see how it's raining I remember double

declining balance is an accelerated depreciation method so in this one we're

figuring out what the double declining balance rate is and we're also going to

figure out what the double declining balance depreciation for the first year

is so we're just going to see like what you know what it is when we have one

hundred twenty-five thousand dollar cost let's read the example same as the other

one but equipment acquired beginning of year at a cost of one hundred

twenty-five thousand with an estimated useful life of ten years an estimated

residual value of five thousand now I circled these three items because

they're you know really they're the key ingredients to the devii odd

depreciating an item if I read if I read this out and then I hadn't that I had to

find the double declining balance rate I'm like what what would I do

well I would know from from practicing whatever that I'm going to get the the

straight-line depreciation value because that's just like the regular baseline I

mean I would need to get that first the rate and now interesting with that I

would just need to get the rate first so that's what I'm going to do and with the

rate it doesn't matter how much it cost or the residual value because that's

going to come into play because with straight-line you factor in residual

value in the appreciable costs you defector in residual value in the

depreciable cost and when you go in double declining balance you do not use

residual value when you're figuring out the depreciable cost the first of all

yep cost per sorry oh we're trying to get the we're trying

to get the double declining balance rate we're trying to get the rate so we've

got to find the we've got to find the straight line rate first and all we need

for the rate to find the figure the rate out is what the estimated useful life is

10 10 years and that's how we're going to get a rate so straight line would be

1/10 right one every year what is every single piece of that 10 is 1/10 right

one 1/10 1/10 10% or 10th you know 10% 1/10 or 10 percents right you can do or

it would be what point 1 or would be point 1/4 for the straight line so let

me get my cut let me get my calculator normally just put one

Ziggy's 1/10 point one point one is a straight line right point one or you

just elect 10% of tenth right I'm going to say or or 10% now - now what is the

name the name indicates double double declining balance you double that up

what's the double declining balance rate well this is the singles right this

thing and think of like a yeah you know on fact is I'm like think of a single

Berger single burgers point one what's the double burger you know to another

patty double it you know so the double is 20% okay 20% Nana wants to know so

that's that's the answer to number a here the number time balance rate is 20%

and notice we all we used to get that is how many years useful life now it's

going to our our second question or be here double the time balance

education for the first year how are we going to figure out how we're going to

figure that out pool how are we going to figure that out

well you multiply the the book value the book value without written without using

the visual value multiply it multiply that by the rate both value times rate

is how you get the depreciation for the per year and double declining balance so

it one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars is is the book value because we

that's what our cost was we're not we don't use residual value with double

declining balance because the very end we need to have that saved because

that's supposedly what the book value is going to be when we salvage it or sell

it or all the slow the double declining balance for the first year being mmm

it's getting a little hot in the office won't finish this up the let's go so if

you $125,000 that's the book value because I has been appreciated or

anything yet and we don't use a residual value so one hundred twenty-five

thousand dollars one hundred and twenty five thousand dollars times twenty

percent twenty percent

4.2 right what is that equal I mean in my head I say that's a 25 25 thousand

and I think it is because I would do a 100 125 thousand it was 10% of that

would be 12,500 double that to 25 thousand hi Caitlin that was way out I

was way out of the picture for that long car her right guys you go 125 thousand

times point two equals twenty-five thousand so that is our answer twenty

five thousand for Part B now I want you to this was our first year of

depreciation and double declining balance twenty five thousand that's our

depreciation expense and that's our depreciation expense for our first year

and double declining balance now if you notice it was twelve twelve thousand

gave me 12 thousand every year for straight line for ten years so you more

than doubled about doubled it I'm double declining balance so that makes sense

we're going to get out of here for now we're just haven't we're having too much

fun grow on this channel putting out

accounting videos and doing like some eating videos and just other videos and

just like I can't wait to see you guys in the next video so until then we had

to stay positive and let's let's let's try to just reach for our goals and all

that good stuff deuces

I'm getting pulled things go

Trans 101: Ep 17 - Fertility [CC] - Duration: 9:58.

[intro music]

Hi there, and welcome to another episode of the Trans 101 series. My name is Chase, and today

We are going to be talking about fertility

So, I'm going to be talking about fertility for people who are on testosterone, so either trans men or non-binary folk, and

People who are on estrogen, so trans women or trans-feminine folk, or non-binary folk as well.

Alright, so I'm going to start by talking about people with

Sperm, who would like to have children with their own DNA later on in the future. Now,

It is best to do it before you start estrogen, alright,

you will go to a sperm bank, it'll cost about two hundred and fifty to one thousand dollars a year to keep it, and

Your sperm is actually good forever, okay, some studies have said that

It's not good forever,

It's only good for, you know, certain amount of time, others have said that it is good forever, there was a research actually where

They tested some sperm that was frozen for forty years

And it was still as good as it was before. So if you start estrogen at a very young age, alright, and you

even did hormone blockers at a young age, and you never have your natal puberty, you are not able to save any of your

Biological DNA in order to have children in the future. The reason is because you never produce sperm

But if you went on hormone blockers, maybe a little bit on, and before you went on hormone blockers, you were able to ejaculate,

Usually you can actually take that... substance that's

Ejaculated and freeze it. It is not going to be as much as if you were older and later on, but the whiter the substance

The more sperms there is and the better chance

The person would be at getting pregnant, and that the sperm is actually good to use. Now, if you have your natal puberty, alright,

And you started estrogen, maybe later on when you were... let's say 17,

Or you know 30 or so on. You can go off of estrogen for a couple of months, and then, um,

If you weren't able to ejaculate before and you can ejaculate now, you'll be able to save the sperm

But it is not a guarantee that that sperm will be good enough

I have known some trans women who have been on hormones for a couple of months, and then said, "oh,

I would like to actually save some of my DNA" so they went off of hormones for four months, about, and

um, they were able to ejaculate again, and then they save their biological DNA in order to, um,

Potentially, in the future, have kids. So honestly, if you haven't started estrogen yet,

And you can ejaculate, I would recommend saving your material right now, even if you don't even think that you want kids right now,

Maybe later on the future, like if you're not sure right now,

Maybe in the future, I'm gonna want kids,

I don't know

It's a good idea to have it, as a safety net just in case you, "oh

I'm so glad I did that", because if you had the opportunity to do it

And you said "oh never mind", and then 10 years later, you're like, "oh, I should have done that"

I mean it sucks, but... you know. I mean you- you make up your mind, you do whatever you want, right?

Alright

So let's move on to people who have ovaries and estrogen, and you would like to talk about fertility

And maybe potentially having kids in the future

So, there are two things that we're going to talk about here, the first thing is saving your eggs. Now,

This is costly, alright, it costs over

$15,000 U.S. in order to extract the eggs

And then it's going to cost $1,500 a year in order to keep those eggs and freeze them

So if you never have your natal puberty - so you never develop breasts and you never had menstruation

You're not able to do this. But if you did have your natal puberty, so you did develop breasts, and you did have menstruations,

Okay, and y- you know, it's later on, you're maybe

25 or so on, you are able to get off of testosterone

Then you will have two to three cycles of menstruations, and then you are able to extract those eggs as well.

Now, it's going to cost as much as it did, alright,

And you are not guaranteed that it's going to work 100%, because your body did go through, you know, hormone replacement therapy,

You did have testosterone in your body,

But keep in mind that the earlier you do this, the better, because the earlier in your life your eggs are younger, which means that

They're- they're- they're more for child. They're more easier to get impregnated, um,

whereas if you did this later on in your life, when you're like 36 and you went off of hormones, and

Even if you were on, you know,

testosterone for only a couple of years, or if you were for ten years, your eggs are older

And that's the the case for anyone, anyone, right, any cis woman who would like to get pregnant

It's better to do it when your earlier, 'cause when you're older, your eggs are older, and it's a little bit harder

Which is what they say. I mean, this is research. I'm not saying, like, I'm- I'm- not saying, "you're old, your eggs aren't gonna work"

I'm not saying that at all

I'm just saying, that, typically younger eggs are better for this. Now, sometimes there are some people who get off of testosterone

Have 2 to 3 cycles, and try to get their eggs extracted, and it doesn't work. Some actually have to go on some medications

So sometimes it's hormones

Extra hormones that they have to put, and other times, it's other types of medication

But this is like a whole other expertise, you actually have to go to a fertility

Expert to talk about that, because that can get a little more complicated. Now, the second thing

I want to talk about, is if you, as somebody who is now on testosterone and hormone replacement therapy, would like to become pregnant

Now, this is really important, because it's not discussed a lot in this community

It's a very taboo subject

But I have known a lot of trans men who would like to be pregnant, and a lot of non-binary folk who are on

Testosterone and would like to be pregnant as well

So I'm going to talk to you a little bit about what that entails

So just like I talked about in the previous with extracting the eggs, you are going to go off testosterone,

You're going to get 2 to 3 cycles, and then you should actually be able to be pregnant

Testosterone is not birth control, okay?

Just because I'm telling you that you should get off of testosterone for two to three months

And then you'll get pregnant, that doesn't mean that that's the only time that you're gonna get pregnant

So when somebody's on testosterone, their menstruation stops, okay, and then you think, "oh,

I'm not menstruating, that means, you know, everything is kind of slop down there everything's paused, there's no eggs, nothing to be fertilized, nothing,

I'm good. Nothing- there- there's no

O- ovulation, it's not going to happen" Well, that's not true.

And that's emit, so I'm here to talk to you about that, because it's super important

So there's some people who have unprotected sex with people with penises who can produce sperm

Um, because they think that they're fine. I'm not gonna get pregnant, I don't bleed, no problem. It's like birth control, I'm fine.

This is very very very false, okay?

Because every month, or couple of months and egg will be released, okay, it will be there

It'll be there, and it'll be for ovulation. This doesn't happen to everyone, but it can happen to a lot of people

So there is going to be an egg there. Now,

There's nothing to fertilize it, right

So there's no sperm that goes in, so then it just goes into the uterus, so it still goes there

But there's just no blood to shed, so that's what happens

Right, if we don't know, if you never had sex ed, or you never knew about the reproductive c- cycle

What happens is that, an egg is released, alright, in the fallopian tube. If there is no sperm to, um, fertilize it

because it's ovulating, nothing like that,

It'll go into the uterus, then the sh- the lining of the uterus will shed, and that's the blood

That's menstruation that happens every month

And that's how you know you're not pregnant. Well because trans men don't bleed, you assume

"Oh, there was never anything there in the first place." That's not true, right,

so the egg will be released, there, nothing to fertilize it, so it's going to go into the uterus, but nothing sheds, right

So that egg is actually just going to stay there, and the older eggs from the month before

They're just dead, they're not there anymore, but you still have that one egg

so because eggs still get released if you're having sex with someone who produces sperm, alright, and the sperm comes in contact with

This egg that is, you know, you're ovulating, it may become fertilized, alright,

And you can become pregnant, and the thing is that, because you don't bleed every month,

you know, usually cis women who bleed every month,

or people who are not on testosterone yet, would, uh,

Assume, "oh, I guess I'm pregnant. I'm not bleeding, I missed my period. I'm not- I'm gonna be pregnant"

You don't experience that if you're on testosterone

So you don't know, so a lot of trans men and people on testosterone find out way later on into their pregnancy that they are

Actually pregnant this can be dangerous because t is teratogenic... tera- tera- tun

genic... it causes birth defects, alright,

so if you are pregnant for

You know, ten weeks or so on, and you didn't know, and you've been taking testosterone this whole time,

You just have to monitor the pregnancy

Very well, but if you do end up pregnant

and you do want to keep the child, you have to go off the testosterone, and of course, after you have the child and

you are

Either done breastfeeding, or you don't- are not going to breastfeed at all, then you can go back on testosterone, no problem

But like, just again, just like a super important point, okay, testosterone is not birth control

I actually have known people in my life who thought birth control- testosterone was birth control

And they got pregnant, and they kept the kid, or they miscarried, or they had an abortion.

So it is super, super, super important to make sure to use protection, alright, especially condoms, especially, because

Like I talked about in my da-

What are the dangers of hormone video,

atrophy happens when you're on testosterone, which is, the lining of the walls become thinner and more delicate, so

Bleeding may occur because you're kind of breaking down that skin when you're doing penetration, so if you're doing penetration

And you're bleeding, and you're also ovulating at the same time, although, you would not know when that's happening

Um, then you have the risk of pregnancy you have the risk of STIs,

And you have the risk of HIV, so, it's very dangerous, so I'm just saying, please use protection

I have made videos, a lot- videos about STIs and stuff like that for trans men specifically

I'll put the link in the description below so you can take a look. Hopefully this answers some of your questions

There's a lot more that I could say about this

But these were the most questions, and most, you know, myths and stuff like that

That I've seen online that I think would be interesting and important to talk about. If you have any questions

Or need further explaining in anything that I talked about, please let me know in the description below

And I will see you later for the next episode! Have a great day! Bye!

He will help me to make new video

Give me questions

Hello all!

My name is Andriy, and you on Engineer Bruns channel

Today I'll answer your questions

Let's begin

First question: How did I learned metalworking?

I am Engineer designer of pharmaceutical equipment

I have a Master's degree with honours

But I've never worked on this profession

Because office worker have much bigger salary in my country

That's why I worked sales manager but not engineer

And metalworking and creating a video was only my hobby

Next question: do I have any official machinist qualification?

I didn't worked on any industry plant, so no one gived qualification documents to me

But I can do some metalworking job, without this

Next question: how did I started to do metalworking and creating video?

4 years ago I was sales manager

and was an usual desk worker

But one day I had peptic ulcer surgery, and my life was changed

and I had a lot of free time

Spending it on internet or TV was very hard

So I was with a big thirst for activity

If you'll try to do nothing 7 days,

you'll understand me

So I decided to buy my first lathe

and learning to work with it

6 month later I made my first youtube video

It was really terrible, but it was my start

Several first videos was in DIY style

Later I found Jimmy Diresta's channel,

and I really liked his style,

and his approach to making video

So I tried to learn some new tricks,

and try to make my video without saying a word.

In "Hard way to draw a cat"

I first time used story-line in video

Reaction on that video was very good,

so I decided to continue this side of my work

and now I have my channel in "storyline" way of creating

Next question: what is my job for money now?

Next question: now machinist is my job or only hobby

and I still work in office?

From October 2016 I left my office job,

and now my workshop - is my small business

My profit now is only on level sales manager salary,

but this job I like much more!

Unfortunately, only video creation can't take profit to me,

money from youtube enough only on video-making costs on at best

Sure if I made viral video,

I can buy some new equipment for my workshop

But it was only 2 times from my beginning

That's why my main profit goes from selling products,

what I make in video ,

And making some interesting orders from clients

which can be used for making new video

Simple work, like making bolts and nuts - I don't take

because I haven't time for this,

and profit is too low from such type of work

But if I finding client which need design and production some thing

and he ready to pay actual money

(my price is more lower than USA or Europe machinists price)

so I take such orders and do my best

Next question: what machines do I have

and how many time I spended to make my workshop

As i already said,

3 years ago I bought my first lathe

It was USSR school lathe, model TV-4

Year later I bought milling machine,

model 675(small industrial type)

After this I bought drilling machine,

bandsaw and second smaller lathe

My workshop is often called...

My workshop is often called....

My workshop is often...

very often...

sh...t!

My workshop is often called basement....

My workshop is often called a cave, because...

My workshop is often called a cave, because

it is in a basement of my house,

and previous owners used it for poultry

Making workshop was step by step,

so every time, when I has a money for interior design, I spent it for new equipment

Next question from my Australian Youtube coworker Jas Creations

He asked how did I get my machines in my basement?

That wasn't easy,

we dismounted all machines

and pull it down with some adaptation

...rail...

we putted some special rail on stairs

and pull down parts by rope

Question from Vladislav Maklakov:

From what should I start to make workshop?

And how can I make it comfortable and functional?

Vladislav, is my workshop look like some comfortable and functional?

Making good workshop should start from building project

But such way can use only that persons,

who work long time in this busines

Beginners, usually use that placement, what they already have

Its can be basement, garage, backyard or even balcony

And usually you buy machines first,

and then make workshop

I like modular principle

when you make one workplace in it own corner

I have corner for turning lathe,

milling corner, drilling etc

Also I have some requests to show in detail my workshop

But I better make single video for this

Next question:

Where do I take new ideas for my videos?

I have another problem:

I have a lot of Ideas, but haven't time for them all

Because most of my time I spend on "making money"

and upgrade my workshop

When I starting new project

I choose most actual and most urgent idea

And some of projects I make same time

Next question:

who is author of scenario and producer of video

Main part of work I make myself,

but also, I have a good team

I has different moments in my life:

some time was good, some was really bad

But I have great luck with my friends

They all are became apart of my family

And I'm very prishiate them

Sure, one of my best friend - is my wife

That's why, with such team, making a bad scenario -

would be a shame

Every video I make on few levels:

first - technical project, and technical scenario

I do it for making technical part of metalworking more interesting

Next level - storyline scenario,

which tell you reasons and story of making product

And last two levels is

easter eggs, and quests, for people

who love to find secret storyline

and guess some puzzle

Usual I make technical side of the work

and then we starting to find good storyline for this work

Brainstorms with my wife is a main part of creative work

She can generate few great ideas in finished scenario

And generally change main idea of video

Same situation I have with my friends:

we spend a lot of time while discussing storyline

But you shouldn't forget that we all are amateurs

and don't have special knowledge and experience

in creating of videos

That's why, sometimes we make mistakes

and you see not what we mean

Example: in video about spinner

repairing terminator looks like surgery operation

Or in "Cat ring" video

not many people saw cat profile at cross section of metal ring

Question from Eugene Loss:

How many people work in your project?

Me, my wife and one of friends

is on an ongoing basis.

And 3-4 my friend help from time to time

or work as an "actor"

Mike Boss show asked:

What is your main inspiration in video making?

I have an overactive imagination from childhood

When I was a kid,

I liked to tell fictional stories to my friends

Especially after reading interesting books or watching films

So now i have opportunity to show this stories to you

And I very happy that you like it

Next question is about my future projects:

What do I planning to do?

Trust me: I have lot of great projects in my plans!

And I really want to realise them all

But, as i said, I don't have much time for this now

I hope, that in future, I'll can take assistant

Who will take "making money" work on himself

And I'll can work on creating videos all my time

Believe me, I'm not complaining

Process of my evolution is very interesting for me

Now I'm glad, that I can create video

and I don't need get back to the office work

because I can earn money with my present work

That's why I have some goals

and I work on it

So some day, I'll can make more videos

If we talking about workshop plans:

I want to make its bigger

for two people will can work in it

That's why I want to buy one more lathe

bigger than I have

and one more milling machine

with size like this, or little bigger

I don't have much money for new equipment

so I'll buy used

And I will be happy if it will be not USSR machines

Can you believe:

first time-machine was made in 2034

and this idiots

until now can't give me

Japan lathe from 1965

and German mill from 1930

What can I do? I intend to file a lawsuit.

Next question: do I want to buy cnc machine?

Sure I do!

But everybody know price on such machines

And everybody understand that

it is very hard

and very distant goal for me

Even if I make cnc myself

I'll need much more orders for covering costs

So it's not my level right now

Sure I'm dreaming about good cnc machine

I would be able to do amazing things on it

But it's only a matter of time

and I hope that someday I will have it

Next question: what is my favorite material?

I don't like only something one

Duralumin, bronze, brass, titan, ebonite - used very often

Expensive metals like gold I don't use

because it's need special equipment(you can't throw away golden chips)

Design is more important than materials

I don't really good designer

but I try to learning

Next question from Keys Keeper:

Do all Youtube metalworkers have some cooperation?

I watching many metalworking channels

but I know nothing about some global forums or chats

May be it will be very interesting

But there is no man or organisation, who will gather everybody together

I want to make some collaborations video with other channels

But this is hard work, because

simple video not looks good

and making good collaboration - need deep knowledge

of aspects of work another blogger

Max and Sergey asked:

Do I have in plans making education video?

What can I teach?

I started from DIY videos

and its was not very good

Also you need to remember,

that I don't have special education

in metalworking and creating video

And I often can make elementary mistakes

you can find this in my videos

And some real professionals don't like this

So if I'll make educational video

I can put my mistakes in it

It's not very smart choice

Maybe someday I'll make life channel

And will try to do such format of video

But now I don't even have a free time for this

Katalist and Taurus asked

about secret easter eggs in video

Is this random or there is some system?

My easter eggs - this is a way to say "hello"

to that people, who watching my videos closely

or watching it several times

Sometime this is reference to previous videos

or another youtube channels

And sometime - this is secret story

which is going on several videos

For example: Stalker story

or Terminator doll story

which was solved only one or two people by the all time

When you write in a comments

that you find easter eggs - I'm very happy

Because for me this is look like

more personal speaking with subscriber

Carl Z and Shimen asked why I don't make a lottery?

Lotteries on youtube - is the

usual way to find more subscribers

on your channel

I don't want to make my channel bigger only by that way

That's why I don't planing to make lottery

But I make quests.

This is secret puzzle in easter eggs

and when you solved it, you can win a prizes

They can be open and secret tipe.

About open quest I usually write in a comment

Also there is secret quests

For example: there is a way to buy my products

with 2-3 time lower price

But only one man from France found this way

If quests interested you - write in comments

and may be later I'll make video when we will talk about it detailed

Question from Valentine

How much time takes shooting and editing video?

When I work peacefully, and not distracted

shooting video takes about 2-3 weeks

Sure for some videos can need few month

but this can be not often

Editing usually takes 25-30 hours of work

Making scenario - from one week to half year

Depending of the importance and the urgency

Arvid and Lewis asked:

Can I do more video?

As i said - this is a matter of time

Hope I'll can make more,

when I'll hire assistant

Now I'm much closer to this goal,

than year ago

But I still need some financial

and organisational evolution

For creating video better and often

First 2 years I shot video on old point-and-shoot camera

It was very uncomfortable, because

it can take maximum HD video

and only 10 min length

6 month ago I bought

Panasonic HC-V160EE-K for 200$

so now I shoot video easier and much faster

Someday I'll buy and use 3 such cameras,

and video shooting will be even faster than now

So I need time, for make this goal real

Another way to be faster - make a big team

but this is a level 1 million subscriber channels

And sure I don't want to make faster and worse -

it's not my way

Next question from Vasiliy:

Why do you make such short video?

There is two reason:

first - bigger video takes a bigger time

second - youtube viewers like

only short videos

You often ask me to make real time video

and I possibly make it someday

I'll make my usual format video

and real time video

Trust me, it will be big few hours video

and no one will watch it

That's why i making only 3-7 min. video

But with good dynamics

and audience retention

I trying to make interesting short videos

Eugene and Voron asked:

Do I planning to make a sequel for Stalker story?

I don't planning to do this in the near future

Possible, will be some easter eggs with this theme

But making full Stalker story

will be hard to make technically

But if I'll find easy and interesting idea

sure I'll make sequel

I have many questions about name of my new daughter

She's name is Ekaterina

and she is real baby(not artefact copied)

Freddy asked: Did I have any injures myself when i worked on my machines?

I had only small cuts on the fingers

The point is that I'm alone in my workshop

and if I wouldn't be careful -

I can die

Because no one can hear me here.

That's why I always very careful,

know and using safety rules

I have one fun moment associated with this

I'm very fearfulness when I work on machine

and If somebody came into workshop at this moment

and trying to thunder down the noise by his voice

I'm extremely scared every time

And they all think that this is very funny

Now they trying to warn me when come

Alex wrote in comment that now, when he watching "Fallout Red Rocket" video

he understand that this was a hint on a second daughter

Yes, it is

And question from him: When my wife will be in video with her face?

When anybody come in youtube

and trying to be an amateur actor

can pe positive and negative reaction of viewers

Can be trolling, hating ets

I'm ready for such reactions on me

Trolling or hating make me laugh,

because if you don't have haters - that means that nobody watching you

But i don't know what will be reaction of my wife

If she'll want to kill some trolls - nothing can stop this women

Second reason: It's very hard to make even one scene

with faces amateur actors

We need to do much more directors job, and actors job

So one scene we can shoot 20, 30 or even 50 times

for taking good result

That's why, every new face -

it's a lot of hard work

Alexander asked: why my wife is always "angry" or "bad" in videos

We do this not specifically

we use "classical" family humor:

"angry wife and poor husband",

when making scenario

You're not first, who talking about this aspect

We'll try in some videos make my wife more nicer

Sam asked:

what my wife see in me? Is it metalworking skill?

I'll tell you one thing

Brain - is a most sexual sex male organ

So if you have enough brains for make a family

you should find some brains for your family care

Sure I'm lucky man, because I found this woman,

but I always remember, that making strong family -

is the thing what always I must to do

There is many comments on this and other videos

with suggestions about a things what I should do in next videos

Write me everything, what you can imagine!

I'll copy all in my tasks

it's pretty big, but

maybe I can choose you wish, when will start new project

if it will be actual at that moment

Vishnu Mistry ask:

What the hardest thing I have made?

Fallout Red Rocket was hardest

It was 2.5 month of work, without weekends

Its scenario is not simple, and I was needed few rockets

for making good storyline

And every rocket was a considerable work

Question from Bogdan:

metal blank, what you dug out, you took it back, or left it in bushes

I saw few answers in a comments, but I'll tell you mine

That was "Metal Dreams" video

And here is that situation:

I was making fence on my backyard

and when we was digging a pit - found that blank

Was developed idea and scenario

it was one of first storyline videos

And we started to shoot it on camera

When was ready first and last scene

I took this blank on a lathe

and it turned out that this is cast iron

Cast iron - is very dusty and dirty

material in metalworking

And making mill from it - not the best idea

That why I had to buy same size steel blank

and continued to shoot video

with new material

Now this cast iron blank using as stand to one of my camera tripod

and mill what i made on video was not very good

so i used it as a blank in other work

Archer asked: where should I work:

machinist, with chance to become an adjuster-engineer in future

or technologist, with chance to become an engineer designer

And his main question:

Should I stay in metalworking, if I only ending education

My answer is:

smaller your own business will give you

more money than big mercenary job

That's why you can learn machinist and engineer profession

but will be better, if you will try to make

your own metalworking business

If you have garage, backyard or even balcony

you can buy hobby lathe

and step by step make your own little busines

And one day you will see, that your lathe give you

more money, then mercenary job

but your hobby works take less time

At that moment you can leave your job.

I think, that this is better way

It's can't be very fast

and can take few years

but this goal worth it.

TerraGamer64 asked: will I take fan requests?

Sure, why not

I always trying to answer on Facebook

and reading all comments on youtube

Sure I can't answer everybody on Youtube

But on Facebook I have not so many friends

and I can answer everybody

Emma, my colleague on youtube and metalworking asked:

How do I make threads on milling machine?

It was in "Stalker's bolt" video

Main difficulty was in choosing spindle speed

and feeding speed

Feeding I turned on when spindle was in same position every time

that's why cutter make one thread every time

There are more easy ways

you can use dividing head of rotary table

some mills have special transmission

and you can use it with change gear bracket

for moving rotary table or dividing head

I chose another way - it was better for video

Copasetic216 wrote, that he likes music in video

and asked: do I play music also?

Unfortunately - not.

I have no ear and no voice for music

So I only listen, and not play music

Choosing music for every video takes

about 3-4 hours

I just take a library

and listen every track while video playing

if I see that rhythm and style suits for it

I use it

Sure, now I using only royalty free youtube library

but it future, when I'll have enough funds,

I'll buy some tracks for my videos

Because now I can find good track for video

as example: Rammstein, Limp Bizkit of Disturbed

and I know that this track is perfect for video

but if I use it - I wouldn't get monetisation on this video

And wouldn't have any funds for next video

That's why now I use royalty free music

and in future, when I'll be on higher level

I'll can paid for better music

or use famous music, which take video monetisation to singer

Jon3volt asked: did I had unsuccessful takes while making video

In all videos we have at least one moment

we call it "stuck!"

It this moment we can shoot one scene

20, 30 or 50 times

This can be storyline moment

or some technical part of the video

when I just show component in my hands

And "Stuck!" moment we have in every video

We just keep shooting more and more

until we get good result

My friend Tagatube ask me to show

few working moments of making video

This can show to subscribers

why I make video so long

and how many effort I need to waste for this

I was thinking about this

but now we can't do this

because for such video we need one more man

who will make backstage

So maybe we'll make this in future

Now I only can do

blooper reel or something like this

If this will be interesting for you

Troye Stonich asked: how do I make title of the storyline video?

This is usual part of my work

it takes 1-2 hour

I make few variants

and then take a best

I'm try to learning in this part of my work

And I hope, in future it will be better than now

RivalThe FP asked: why did my friend got, mad at me

in spinner video

By the story of video, that was Terminator

Sure he is not real!

And because many grown people don't like spinners

I think, he, as a good terminator, hate it too

That's why he kicked me it the end of this video

Also this series has bad firmware

and lagging very often

PoSev asked to tell about drunk guy in "Stalker's bolt" video

In beginning of the video he is getting up from snowdrift

This is example of one of my mistakes in video

I planning to make something like screensaver

Morning, dawn, snow and russian drunk man going to work from snowdrift

I failed with dawn

and with all scene

That's why most of subscribers don't understand

what's going on this part of video

This is good lesson for me

and I hope, that I'll do not fail again

Alex asked: Is your first lathe good or shit?

I'll tell you one thing:

any instrument is good,

if you know how to use it

If you have heavy industry lathe in your workshop

my lathe will be piece of shit for you

Its made for school, can do only 3 threads

It's not very accurate

and have not good inflexibility

But if you will learn work on it

working on any other lathe will be easy for you

I use this lathe 2.5 years

I learned to make any possible works on it

and can tackle all the problems of this lathe

And working on new China's 180x300 lathe

which is not very comfortable for many beginners

is easy breezy for me

Because I saw same problems on my first lathe

and working on heavy industrial lathe

will be also easy for me

So I can tell you about any lathe:

if you know how to work on it

and have experience

you'll can work with all it weakness

If you don't have experience and don't want to learn

will be better if you'll buy new heavy lathe

But more often first lathe - is a hobby lathe,

sometimes its need repair, but have a good price

Then you learn to work on it, make first money

and only then buying a heavy lathe

Alim asked: do I have some wear of my first lathe rails?

I'm very careful with my equipment

I'm often lubricate it

may be too much

My first lathe working already 3 years

Wear of rails become bigger

it was 0.05 mm, now it 0.07-0.08 mm

For such lathe - this is great result

because I now examples, when same lathe

can take 1.00 mm wear of rails only after 1 year of work

Petr wrote, that he bought same lathe that I have

And asked: What oil he should use

But he called me Igor, may be got mistaken

Also he asked was my first lathe working condition or broken when I bought it?

I took lathe in working condition

it was being used, but repaired

I had choice: buy broken for lower price or buy repaired

which will be ready to work

Because I hadn't any experience at that moment

I decided, that bigger price was worth it

I have no regrets

I didn't have any problems

About oil - I use industrial №30

as instruction says

Mr. Glorum asked:

Did I disappointed in my new 180x300 lathe?

And did I make some "upgrades" of it?

I'm very satisfied with this lathe

I took it for some special orders

It was party of orders with very small sizes

And my old lathe was not very good it this work

This smaller lathe was much better for such metalworking

And I make some money with it

Now, when I work with blank smaller than 30mm.

I use this lathe

This is good instrument in small size turning

It's not very strong

and I don't make hard rounding steel on it

But when I need accuracy on small size - i use only this lathe

Aleksander asked: What is the date today?

Is it joke?

Ok, today we have 8 Aug

Seven!

Today is 36 or 75th?

- 2017.

sure - 17!

John Grammaticus asked:

What is the best brands in Eastern Europe can search?

And is there any good post soviet tools still available?

Old USSR tools have only one point:

this is - low price

Modern instrument, even from China

is much better

Today old USSR cutters and mills have very low quality

There is only one good side of USSR instruments

this is - repairability

and durability

If you'll be lucky to find not used USSR lathe or mill with low price

you should buy it

Everything else: cutters, mills, methurments etc

very hard to find in good condition and quality

Often easyest to buy modern China instrument

not the cheapest,

and it will work better

Sergey asked to tell, how I mounted 180x300 lathe.

This is easy: height of the handwheel

must be on your elbow level

I mounted lathe on rolled steel channel

Because it have very lightweight and can stagger while work

Distance from edge of table to lathe must be no longer than 100-150 mm

You'll cat put cutters at this place

but don't need to bend down while work

Serger wrote, that he has China's lathe too

but little bigger

And asked: "how he must work for cutoff cutter do not broke"

It's a hard question for beginner

because you need experience

You need to training in cutter grinding

or buy cutters with changing inserts

Something like Korloy or Mitsubishi

Also you can take inserts for aluminium

they have smaller sharpening angle

This is may compensate low inflexibility of a lathe

I wasted many time for taking cut-off skill

Also you can set minimum rpm of spindle

and use good cutting emulsion

which can make cutting force lower

and cutting will be much easier

Red Gigant asket to tell about my milling machine

As I said, this is USSR mill, model 675

made in 1961

There is video "My new toy" on this channel

when I show how I bought it

It's not bad mill,

notwithstanding on wear of rails, but I like it

Maybe I'll make full review on this mill in future

Dmitriy asked about a pistol, which was in a spinner video

This is copy of some Walther model

I bought in only for video

and it's not real

Because if you doing metalworking,

you can't do something with a gun, it's out of law in Ukraine

And last question for today from Roman:

What better use to cutting aluminium sheet?

I think the best will be laser or lightsaber

if you don't have it - use fret-saw

That's all for today

Thank you for your questions.

It was great pleasure for me

Hope you'll stay with me at this reality

Good Luck!

Hot day today

If you watching until this moment

only 10-12 people left here

and you want a quest

You will have it this time

And hope it will be hard for you

Main question is:

If my name is John, what is my surname?

You must know, that answer is not "Connor"

Find my mail and send me an answer

Third man, who will send right answer, will take a prise

Good bye!
