Waching daily Aug 20 2017

So much blood, so much pain

I will lose a son again

Oh dear child i'm sorry

Now you are face The Mountaing King

This will be the last soul we need

I will not accept your Mercy

With your pain the barrier breaks and we shall be free

I'll remember your friendly face

I can't lie, I will miss this place

No more pain, Our savior be, Come on Mountain King

Bergentrückung, He sits on his throne

He waits for this day, He was waited alone

Can't hold back, My breath is all gone

My vision is blurred

I'm asking myself What have I done? [The pain you have caused The friends you have left You broke all the laws No escaping death]

Did you change their lives? Did you make it worth it? Did you enjoy your time?

Child, we have to go [We wish you could stay At least one more day Would that be okay?]

We cannot delay! It's hard to decide For after this fight Someone has to die

And I hate say goodbye

Should I embrace, This last chance that I have?

Should you erase, All the ghosts in your past?

Maybe it was meant to happen And we should stay around

Could have been a human And still lived underground

If we could be family Walk through the town

See my dear Toriel And head home right now WAIT!

That's just pipe dreaming, And we need to wake up

The people underground are screaming, There is no way up!

And when this fight is over, We will see the sun!

And the memories you have made here, Will all be worthwhile

They will make us smile Farewell fallen child!

For tonight, The monsters have won!

Trump Administration Doesn't Know How National Security Works – Their Climate Stance Proves It - Duration: 5:29.

One of my favorite moments from the 2016 presidential election campaign, whatever, actually occurred

during the primaries in 2015 at the very first democratic debate that happened to be the

debate where we still have lots or several candidates on stage. The very first question

they were asked, every candidate on that stage, "What is the single greatest threat to US

national security?" Person after person gave the same response. ISIS, Islamic terrorism.

There's only one person who said catastrophic climate change is the greatest threat to national

security. That person just happens to be Bernie Sanders. Do you know why Bernie Sanders gave

that response? He wasn't trying to pander to tree huggers. No, he actually understands

what the Pentagon has been saying since literally the 1980s, and that is, at least since 2006,

that climate change and the threats posed by climate change are the greatest national

security threat to the United States. 11 years running, our greatest threat to our own borders

is climate change.

In spite of that knowledge, again, Ronald Reagan received reports from the Pentagon

in the '80s showing that climate change could eventually pose a national security risk to

the United States. George H. W. Bush got the same information, so did Clinton, so did W.

Bush, again, 2006 became the greatest national security threat. Obama did, and you can bet

that Donald Trump understands that as well, but he chooses to not believe it.

Having said that, Donald Trump's new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman, Neil

Chatterjee, told people earlier this week that in order for us to ensure national security

here in the United States, we have to continue burning coal as a fuel source. Unfortunately,

Chatterjee was not too chatty about the specifics on how burning coal increases our national

security, but he did say that this is what we have to do because somehow burning coal

is related to national security, because I guess it keeps us more nationally secure in

Chatterjee's warped brain.

Here's the reality, folks. Majority of people on this planet live near the coast, live within

that floodplain of rising sea levels. In 50 years, 100 years maybe, some of us will be

gone, some of us might still be here. The United States, and we're already seeing this

today, too, the United States is going to be experiencing a refugee crisis like we have

never seen. Not just the United States either. Every country on the planet. As those people

who lived on the coast understand that the coast is gone, they have to move inland. They

have to move to a new country. They have to leave. They are climate refugees at this point.

Again, we're already seeing them today.

What happens when they leave those areas? Other areas become more populated. What happens

when there's higher populations? There is resource scarcity. Resource scarcity always

breeds conflict. That is what our national security advisers, the folks at the Pentagon,

the folks in the military have been warning us about for decades, and yet Donald Trump's

administration, this guy he appointed, Neil Chatterjee, choose instead to turn a blind

eye to climate change and say that if we want to be secure, we got to burn coal because

that makes sense.

Climate change is the only issue that we cannot undo with Donald Trump. Things like his destruction

of education, destruction of the economy, Medicaid, Trumpcare, tax cuts for the rich,

those hurt, they're bad, they cause bad things in this country, but they can be undone and

repaired given time. Climate change isn't like that, folks. Once those sea levels rise

and that coastline is gone and starts shrinking and goes further inland, it's gone. We can't

undo that with a democratic president getting elected in 2020. When it's gone, it's gone.

Those emissions were spewing out. When they're up there, they're up there. We can't undo

the damage, and that is why of all the issues, we have to take this one the most serious,

because we can't fix it. All we can do is stop it from getting worse, but we're not

even doing that. We're ignoring it. We can fix all of the other damage Trump has done.

It's going to be painful and it's going to suck, but when it comes to climate change,

every month, every week, every day without action, we're causing irreparable damage that

no matter how many years of democratic rule we have, we will never be able

to undo.

DIY TEXTBOOK COVERS FOR BACK TO SCHOOL 2017 | @karenkavett - Duration: 11:25.

Hi guys, I'm Karen Kavett, and I know that a lot of you are heading back to school, so

today we're going to make some DIY Textbook Covers.

However, before we get into that, I wanted to tell you that this video is sponsored by

Moose Toys, the company that makes Beados Teeneez.

That's so fun to say, Beados Teeneez, Beados Teeneez.

You guys know that I only take on sponsorships of products that I really like and that I

think you guys are going to like too, and the Beados Teeneez are an easy craft to make

your own jewelry, bag charms, anything you like.

Here's how it works - when you open up the box, you get all of these little Beados, in

all different colors.

The instructions are so easy to follow, you literally just pick your pattern, put it in

place under the bead tray and then put the Beados in place to make your design.

Then fill up the included spray bottle with water and give it a few good sprays.

There's no glue or heat or anything dangerous to worry about, literally just water.

So after 20 minutes it should be dry and the Beados are magically stuck together.

These are so cute and it would be such a fun activity for middle schoolers or really anyone

to decorate their backpack or make their own necklaces.

If you want to learn more about all the different products and accessories that are available,

I'll have all the information about the Beados Teeneez right down below.

Alright, so now let's get on to the textbook covers.

Of course you can also apply any of these ideas to your notebook cover or binder cover,

and yeah, let's get started.

You'll want to start by covering all of your books with simple white paper to get

a totally blank canvas to work on.

I just used a roll of paper like this which I'll link down below.

Now this first one is so easy, we're just covering it in washi tape.

You can get sets of washi tape like these or just collect all your own favorite colors

and patterns.

Put down your first piece, and I like putting them at an angle, but you can do vertical

or horizontal stripes or whatever you want.

Just keep putting down all of your tape, and when the tapes themselves are so busy, I think

it looks best to repeat the same pattern all over the book.

Make sure that you're also flipping the book over to cover the back as well, and that

you're folding the extra tape onto the inside of the book cover, making sure not to stick

them to the book itself.

Now I love washi tape, but it's not the most durable craft supply for something that

you'll be carrying around with you every day.

So to keep your book looking like new all year long, cover it with a layer of clear

packing tape, and I put mine down at the same angle as my washi tape.

Now you could be finished here, but I decided I also wanted to label mine.

So I printed out the name of my class backwards and carefully cut out all of the letters.

Once again, put them in place using packing tape, and I probably should have done this

before that first layer of packing tape, but I forgot I wanted to label mine until I had

already added all of that tape, so I did two layers, but it's fine, I think it still

looks really cute.

Seriously, even if you don't like math, you are going to be looking forward to math

class just so you can show off your adorable textbook.

Next we're still using tape, but this time, we're using duct tape to make a gradient

checkerboard design.

Lay down your first two colors on your cutting mat and cut them down to get 1" squares,

or whatever size squares you want.

Then carefully pick them up and add them to your textbook, and I'd recommend using a

ruler to keep the first row straight because otherwise the entire design is going to be

crooked.

Now for the second row, we're going to use the second color in our gradient along with

a third color.

And so on and so on, this pattern isn't hard to figure out, I think you guys get it.

When you've covered the entire book, fold the extra tape over to the inside of the book

cover.

And once again, you could be finished, but I decided to label mine.

Oh but before that, after saying how easy this pattern is, I know that I got the last

line wrong, I should have brought the teal back in, but everyone makes mistakes.

So, to label the book, put down white tape and print out your class subject in whatever

font you like.

Then tape the pattern in place and carefully cut out each letter, cutting through both

the pattern and the duct tape.

Once you've cut the whole thing out, remove the extra tape and then carefully pick up

each letter and press it into place.

And to add some flair, cut out some trapezoids and add three to the top and the bottom.

And that's it.

Just press everything really securely into place, and you've got a duct tape book cover

that will definitely brighten up your locker.

Now you'll want to grab some old magazines, because it's time to make a collage.

Go through and cut out any pictures or words that speak to you until you have a big pile

to pick through.

Try to find images of all different sizes including some large ones.

I'd recommend covering the entire background with a large image, because then you won't

have to worry about any of the white background peeking through.

As you glue things in place, don't worry about using a ton of glue, we're just tacking

everything down so it stays in place later when we cover it up with tape.

So just arrange your collage however you like, making sure to continue it over on the back

of the book as well.

Once you're happy with how it looks, trim off any large overhanging areas.

And then just like before, cover the entire thing with packing tape to seal it in and

keep it looking nice all year long.

Fold the extra tape over the inside of the book cover, and you're finished.

This would be such a fun project to do with your friends after school on that first day

when your only homework is to cover your books.

Next we're going to make this book cover that has cute little pockets for photos or

notes or whatever you want.

Begin by covering your book cover with packing tape to protect it.

I'm actually using this packing tape that has a grid on it, which I think looks really

cool.

But I'm gonna be totally honest, I'm pretty sure that this exact tape has been discontinued.

But I'll try to find some similar options and link them down below.

Anyway, once you've covered the entire book cover with tape, you'll need business card

holder binder sheets.

Again, I'll link to where you can get these down below.

Cut down the sheet to have just three pockets.

Repeat that with the other half of the sheet to get another set of three.

Then arrange them in the center of the book cover and cover the entire back with double

sided tape.

Really press them down to stick on there, and then you're done.

These pockets are the perfect size for Instax photos, so you can switch out all of your

favorite photos of your friends all year long, and you can also stick little notes and reminders

in there too.

It's both cute and practical, my favorite kind of DIY.

And finally, we're going to make this rainbow heart book cover, which I promise you don't

need any artistic ability to make.

Begin by taking your book cover off of your book, and covering the back of it with packing

tape.

This will make the paper a lot stronger while leaving the front untouched for us to paint

onto.

Once you've covered the back with tape, put it onto your book.

And then either print or draw a heart and cut it out.

Lightly trace the heart with a pencil and then you'll need a rainbow of puffy 3D paint.

Do a few test dots on scrap paper, and then begin filling in the heart with little pink

dots.

Once you've done a section, move on to the next color, to make a lovely little rainbow

inside the heart.

Let it dry completely and then use an eraser to carefully erase the pencil line.

And then you can fill it in as much as you want until you're happy with how it looks.

To finish it off, make an outline around the heart with pink dots and then keep those lines

going with all the other colors of the rainbow to fill in all of the empty space.

I love how simple this is, but it looks adorable, and the paint is a little 3D, so it has a

really nice texture too.

You could do this for all of your books with all different shapes and all different colors.

But wait, before I go, I have one more little back to school hack to show you.

If you want to add a bookmark to your textbook, you can cut a piece of ribbon and then carefully

use hot glue to glue it in place on the inside of the book cover.

Be careful to let the hot glue dry completely so it doesn't stick to the book itself.

But then you have a nice little bookmark to keep your place at whatever chapter you're

up to and it literally took like three seconds to make.

So I hope you guys liked those fun textbook designs and that you're all ready to go

back to school.

I know from the comments in my last few videos that some of you are already in school, which

is crazy, because I never started until mid-September, and you guys are in school from like, August

1st.

But anyway, if you're already in school, I hope it's going well for you.

So if you want even more ideas, I showed you how to make an emoji textbook cover in my

video from a few weeks ago, and I also made a video like this over on HGTV Handmade last

year with even more textbook design ideas.

So both those videos and a ton more videos will be in my Back to School playlist which

I'll link at the end of this video.

If you're still watching this video, here's your homework, it's a classic, I want you

to leave me a comment telling me what you did over the summer.

And include the word pineapple somewhere in your comment and then I'll know that you

watched until the end of the video and you'll just be my new favorite person.

Happy Back to School, good luck with your classes, and I'll see all next week with

another DIY video.

Bye guys.

Peroneal Tendonitis Stretches & Exercises – Ask Doctor Jo - Duration: 12:02.

Hey everybody it's Doctor Jo, and today I'm going to show you, wait where's my

Patronus? Expecto Patronum! It's my unicorn Kali who's my Patronus!

Are you going to help me with Patronus tendonitis?

I mean peroneal tendonitis? I'm going to show you some stretches & exercises, so

let's get started.

So the peroneal tendon

runs along the outside of your foot, so a lot of the stretches are going to be for

your, calf, achilles tendon area, soleus, all those muscles around the area, and

then even for that tendon itself, so let's start off with a calf stretch. I

like to use a little roll, you can use a pool noodle you can use just a rolled-up

towel or just hang it off the edge if you're sitting on a couch or a bed or

something, but use something to prop it up so your your heel has some movement.

Then take a stretch strap or a belt. If you don't have one of these, you can use

a big towel or even a dog leash, but something that has a loop works best. Put

it around the ball of your foot, relax out foot and use the strap just to pull

it towards you, so as you can see I'm pulling my toes and my foot, but I'm not

actively moving my foot, so you want that the leg to be nice and relaxed, and then

you're just going to pull towards you, and you should feel it stretching that

calf muscle underneath, so you want to hold that stretch for 30 seconds, take a

little break, shake it out, and do that a total of three times. So just getting a

nice big pull in there, and then after you get it stretched out, if you're

already in this position, you can go ahead and do some exercises even though

I probably do all my stretches first, since I'm already here this is where I

would want to be, so the the peroneal tendon over here helps pull your foot

outwards into the eversion motion, so we're going to exercise it in that

motion and using resistive bands is the best way to do it.

In the thera-band series, red is the second lightest, it starts off yellow

then goes red, green, blue, and so on from there, so you probably want to start off

with the lightest one. If you don't have the thera-band brand, make sure you're

checking to see which one is the lightest because you want to start off

pretty light because if you've got the tendonitis in there, it's already a

little irritated so you don't want something that's going to irritate it

even more. Make a loop with the band, put it around the foot, and how do we get it

to go outwards you might ask, well anchor it around the other foot. So you want

that knot to be in the opposite side that you want to push out, so we're going

to go out this way, and you can make it tighter by just tightening up that band

a little bit. I like having that roll so you still have the free movement of your

foot, but try and move just at your ankle. Sometimes people want to kind of move

that whole leg, but this part should really stay still and you're just going

to turn out and come back in, so that's that eversion,

going out and coming back in, so it's not going to be a huge movement and this

might be just a little bit irritating if you have that tendonitis, so make sure

that you start off of with that light band like I said, and if you're not getting

good movement or maybe it's hurting a little more than you think it should,

just try doing that without the band as well. So now we're going to do some

standing up stuff. For the stretches and exercises standing up, make sure you have

something sturdy to hold on to, so a chair or a countertop because some of it

has to do with balance and you want to make sure that you're safe and you're

not all over the place, so now we're going to do a runner stretch for the

calf. Hold on to something sturdy like the chair, the leg that you want to

stretch you're going to put back behind you, make sure your toes are pointed

forwards and that your back heel is down, then you're going to take your front

knee and lean forward until you feel a stretch back there in your calf.

If you need to bring that foot a little more forward you can so it doesn't put

stress on there, keep that leg nice and straight,

and just stretch forward holding that for 30 seconds, and then doing that three

times. So we can making sure that heel is down on the ground and that those toes

are pointed forwards, and then leaning in until you feel good stretch in the calf

area, then just changing that stretch a little bit you're going to stretch your

soleus muscle. The soleus is right underneath the calf, so you're going to

stretch it pretty similarly, except this time you're going to bend your back knee

as well, and once you bend your back knee that kind of takes the calf out of it so

then it stretches the soleus. So bending that back knee this time, bending the

front knee, still keeping my heel down still keeping the toes forward and then

bending forward. Now sometimes people feel this a little bit in the front and

their ankle if they've got some tightness in their joint, that's okay

because you're still stretching that whole area a little bit, that's what you

want, so same thing holding the stretch for 30 seconds and then doing that three

times on each side. So coming back up shake it out a little bit, bend both

knees and then bend forward trying to keep that heel down.

After you get that good and stretched out, and then you're going to do some

exercises, so the next one is just going to be a heel toe raise. Put your feet

about shoulder width apart and again hold on to something sturdy just so you

have to have it for balance because if you have some balance issues, it makes it a little

bit easier to focus on the technique if you've got something to hold on to, so

this time just want your feet about shoulder width apart, you're going to

come up on your toes slowly come down, and then pull your toes up, so it's very

much about the control. If you're coming up and then just coming right back down,

you're missing out on part of the exercise, so make sure you're going up

then nice and slow down pulling the toes up not taking your booty back, but

pulling the toes up slowly coming down, so if you need to start with both hands

holding on to the chair or countertop that's fine ,but if you can get to 20-25

and it's easy, then try just one hand holding on, and then that's easy just try

maybe like a finger for a little bit of balance holding on, but if you're pushing

down and your finger is getting bent, you're probably still putting too much

pressure it is just a little finger for some balance, and then if that's really

easy then you can try it without holding on, but again if you're not holding on

you come up like this and you come straight back down, you probably are not

quite ready for it because you really want to be able to control that motion

coming back down. If all those become easy, then you can go to just one foot

going up on the toe, coming back on the heel, and then doing the same thing, then

one hand, and then no hands, doing it so again if you feel a little unbalanced,

make sure you're holding on first. Then after that, you're just going to do

regular single leg balance, and the reason this is so good is because that

peroneal tendon on the outside has a lot to do with our balance. Our ankles, and

our hips have a lot to do with balance, so a good way to strengthen those after

we get it healing, is just to work on balance, so the same thing if you need to

start off with holding on with two, that's fine, then you can go down to one hand

fingers, then you can just go to one finger, and then you can try balancing

without anything at all. If you get to this point this is pretty easy, then

start putting a little bit of movement into the balance by then just reaching

forward a little bit and coming back, and if you look at my ankle while I'm doing

these balances series, it's moving around, but that's okay, that's what it's

supposed to be because it's just trying to find the center of gravity and it's

trying to find our balance, so if it's wiggling, that's okay, that's completely

normal, but if it's hurting, then you're probably not quite ready for it yet, so

the last exercise and stretch is going to be on a step. So a pretty easy stretch

for that peroneal tendon, you can use the step, you don't have to use the step, you

can just do it on the floor, but I like doing it on the step because I feel like

it's a little higher up and you can push down a little bit, but since the tendon's

on the outside here, just roll your foot a little bit on that step, and then push

downwards, so you're just kind of stretching that tendon in that motion, so

again you can do it on the floor, you don't necessarily have to do it on the

step, but I like having a little bit of bend in the knee because it's not quite

as much pressure on them. So when you've got that tendonitis, you might want a

little bit less pressure, and then you can just put it down on the floor and

then kind of push down, but you're pushing downward so it's getting that

stretch at the ankle, so that would be a 30 second hold holding it for 30 seconds,

take a little break, and then do three of those. Then the last stretch using a step

for the Achilles tendon which is back here, and so that gets tight often so a

step is a great place to stretch that out. Hopefully on your steps you have

railings because again if you need some balance, you will hold on to something

because you're on the edge of the step, sometimes that's a little hard with

balance especially if you've got some ankle issues going on, so make sure

you're holding on to something or have somebody there that can hold on with you.

Put the ball of your foot right on the edge of the step, the other foot can stay

completely on for some more balance, and then you're just going to drop that heel

down until you feel a really good stretch in there, and so this is one of

my favorite stretches, I feel like it really gets that spot in there and so

again you want to hold that stretch for thirty seconds, come back up, shake it out,

and do that a total of three times. So that's a really good stretch there, and

then the last thing with the step is doing a sidestep up, and so what this

does is since you're doing a side word, side words, sideways kind of motion,

you're really getting that outer tendon working, and so that's really good to

help strengthen it. So with the sidestep ups, what I like to do is when I go back

or go sideways, go back just a little bit, and the reason for that is if I just go

sideways, see how my knee comes forward a little bit, and if it goes in front of the

toes, that puts a lot of pressure on it. Now some people say just kind of stick

your booty back, which is fine, but I find that if you step back and out just a

little bit, that's just as effective, it's a little bit easier for people to get

this motion because you're still it's forcing you stick your booty out then

just going straight out and having to stick your booty out, so again you're

just going out and back, and so that's going to really do some good

strengthening in those ankles there, but make sure you do both sides because it's

working each side differently, and just start off with about ten of those

because it's going to be a lot especially depending on how high your

step is, and then you can work your way up from there. My unicorn Kali. So those
