Waching daily Aug 24 2017

in this video I will show you how to create a baby blanket using a double

crochet stitch the blanket ended up being 30 by 40 inches for this project

you will need some yarn specifically for baby blankets you will need an 8

millimeter hook a large needle and some scissors so I'm starting with this kind

of blue and white mixed yarn because the couple that I'm making this for has that

as their theme and if you turn this around and look right here you'll notice

that it's asking for an 8 millimeter hook so that's what we'll be using today

that's pretty large hook but you can also see that the yarn is pretty big as

well so you do need a larger hook and we're going to be using a double crochet

stitch for this so to start we need to make a loop so I'm gonna wrap that

around my thumb and just have the yarn behind come through so you're really

just making a slipknot now just make sure that the knot is not so tight that

you can't move the hook but not so loose that the hook just falls out so now

we're gonna take this longer end here there's many different ways to do this

but I'm gonna wrap this around my pinky the back of my pointer finger and then

pinch it with my thumb and my middle finger now your pointer finger is gonna

be the tension so let's see if it's too loose you can't really do a Tong so by

keeping this tight here it'll just allow you to easily hook this so the first

thing we're going to do is make a chain so we're going to hook and pull that

through and hook pull that through so it's really simple you're just really

hooking that and pulling it down now if you notice when I hook I'm facing it up

and then I turn it down that's because if you go like this it will get stuck

other times it might just fall off so you really want to hook it and turn it

down and then pull it through so you just want to keep making this chain

until you get the length of the blanket that you want now I've completed that

and I have a chain of 64 so you can see it's really long I wanted my row to be

60 until I did 64 because we're going to go back into the fourth loop and if you

can see a little kind of a dot right there so that's one two three four so

it's really where my thumb is right there so we're gonna help

and we're gonna go into the fourth one now when it comes out the other side I

know this is really hard to see but that's why definitely make sure you

watch some of my other videos I'll link them in the cards and the description

you might want to try those ones first but now that you're through you're gonna

hook and you're pulling it back through the exact same hole and now we have

three of them on here so now you're going to hook it again and you're going

to go through the first two and now the last two so if you're able to repeat

that over and over the first two the last two it'll help you remember so you

hook it and now we're going into the very next one right here and again it's

out with the other side and I'm going to hook it again and pull it back through

the hole so I have three now we're going to hook pull it back through the first

two and now the last two so it all kind of starts jumbling together a little bit

but once you get this first role you'll actually be able to hang on to this

piece which makes it a lot easier right now you're really not hanging on to

anything so I'm going to go through that a few more times so you're gonna hook it

go through the hole it's going to come out the other side and you're going to

hook it and pull it back through that hole so now you have three and you'll

hook go through the first two and then we'll hook and go through the last two

so you're gonna hook it go through the hole it's gonna come out the other side

and you're going to hook it and pull it back through that hole so now you have

three and you'll hook go through the first two and then we'll hook and go

through the last two okay so I'm gonna keep doing that I have to do 60 of these

so kind of a lot but if you're able to just kind of watch a movie or some TV or

something you can just kind of go through these and it is very relaxing

once you get the hang of it so I'm gonna do a few just you can see

roughly what it looks like so we're hooking through the whole hook

back through the hole we're gonna do the first two and the last two get in hook

through the hole we're gonna hook it again and back through the hole and now

we're gonna do the first two and the last two

so if you need to just rewind this video and watch the first few that I did on so

you can see it more slowly but just keep doing that and then I'll show you what

we do for the next row so I finished the entire first row so you can see so to go

to the next row we're going to loop one two so pretty much you want it to be

about the same height as the first one and then you're gonna flip your work

because you always want to go from right to left so now that you have that first

one I don't know if you can see right in the base of it there's a hole right here

okay so it's right there that's what we're gonna be going in each of these

little dots right here again like I said if you are a beginner and you've never

crocheted or anything you may want to start with the one one of the other

videos because this yarn is a lot thicker and it can be more difficult but

so what we're gonna do is hook this and go right into the base and when it comes

out the other side you're gonna do the same thing you're gonna hook and pull it

back and then you've got your three so now we're going to hook and go through

the first two and then you're gonna hook and go through the last two so pretty

much you're just repeating what we did already

for the next row so we're gonna hook you're going to go into this next little

hole here when it comes out the other side you're going to hook it and pull it

back through and now you should have three again so we're going to hook and

go through the first two and then you're gonna hook and go through the last two

okay so you can kind of see what it looks like and we're gonna keep going

so we're gonna hook go into that next hole when it comes out the other side

you're gonna hook and pull it through now you have three so we're gonna hook

and go through the first two and then we're gonna hook and go through the last

two so I'm going to go ahead and just keep doing this and then I will show you

again how to flip to the next row when I'm done with this one so now I've

completed the second row so we're at the end again and we're gonna do the same

thing so now I'm going to hook it once and twice and we're gonna flip our work

so everything should be on the other side so that you go right to left so

we're going to hook this and go right into the base of this one here

and when it comes out the other side you're gonna hook it and pull it back

through so now you have three on again and you're going to go through the first

two and then we're going to go through the last two so you can kind of see and

I put it straight I know it looks weird now but when you have it longer you just

want to make sure that this is straight and that will be straight as long as you

have the same amount in each row so again we're going to hook and go through

the hole when it comes out the other side you'll hook it and pull it back

through again and then you'll hook through the first two and then hook

through the last two okay so you're gonna keep doing that and you'll go back

and forth so pretty much you're just gonna keep doing this for the rest of

the blanket you'll go all the way to the end do the two stitches flip it over and

just go back and forth and if you need to feel free to rewind the video if you

want to watch how to start the next row over again but I'm gonna go ahead and

finish this blanket and then I'll show you how to end it I have now finished

the blanket so we're gonna need to tie off the end piece so what I'm gonna do

is take a long piece of the yarn and cut that off and now we're gonna just weave

this tail through here we're gonna put it through the hole and pull snug this

is pretty much gonna make a knot on the end to ensure that it will not come

undone and now we can weave the tail in and out on the end here I usually like

to do about three to four inches just to make sure that it will not come undone

you know months or years later so we're gonna take our large needle and try to

get that in there so this yarn is a little more difficult because it's

extremely fuzzy and now we're gonna weave it so I'm just going to take this

and we're really there's not really a specific way to do this you just kind of

go back and forth and make sure that it's getting through the middle of your

yarn or your pattern here and you're not gonna be able to see that you can see

it's really hidden really well but like I said do as much as you can at least a

few inches just to make sure that it's nice

we tucked in there and it won't come undone even if this end piece does this

little tail comes out at some point just remember you already had that knot in

there so the chances of this command on are very slim now that we're done we're

just gonna cut that off now we need to do the other tails this is one of the

tails from me connecting two balls of yarn so I'm gonna go ahead and do the

same thing and I'm probably gonna go opposite directions just so it doesn't

look weird so I'm gonna kind of weave those in on opposite ends one thing I

wanted to mention is in this scenario if you did end up making these tails really

really short what you can do is you can actually just weave them in and out

first your needle and then you just weave this in here that way it's a lot

easier to do and that's it the baby blanket is done so hopefully you guys

liked this video and if you did please give me a thumbs up because it really

helps me quite a bit and if you want to see more tutorial videos then don't

Catch the student who leaves the library for the 101st! [Happy Together / 2017.08.24] - Duration: 11:37.

(Current time is 11:45 p.m.)

People are studying so late.

Some people are coming to study now?

(Students ready to study at midnight)

(Amazing)

That's amazing.

This is delicious.

(They keep eating)

(Yongman too)

Why are you eating so much?

This doesn't get me full.

It's the pizza-eating Yongman for 2017.

Yongman sure eats a bunch of stuff.

(Let's eat the next one)

Did I mishear? Did you say, "Let's eat the next one?"

Do you think you can beat us that easily?

(Surprised)

(No, no)

(It's a misunderstanding)

Wanna One, which category?

- Hearing? / - Decode is good too.

- We'll do decode. / - Figuring things out.

(Rice rolls, spicy rice cakes and blood sausages)

(A much-loved combo of snacks)

The holy trinity!

Throw this pizza out.

(The perfect combination of food)

(That's only in Korea)

(Rice rolls, spicy rice cakes and blood sausages)

Throw this pizza out.

(They all want the street food snacks)

(Please grant them to me)

(Thank you, Happy Together)

Happy Together is the best.

(What's Daniel doing?)

(Still eating with energy)

Daniel keeps slurping down that broth.

It's really good.

What's "decode"?

We'll give you only consonants on screen.

(Aha)

You have to guess what it says.

We're experts at this.

They're all movie titles.

You have to guess the movie title.

With the street food snacks on the line.

This is a movie?

The movie title starts with T?

- Shivering? / - What was that?

T, T?

- Jisung! / - Jisung.

"The Thieves!"

(Wanna One is correct)

How'd you know before you saw it all?

- Hold on. / - Cancel this one.

(Yongman takes action)

They say it'll be on here, but they hold these up.

We're trying to get a better look...

They showed them the answer?

- Shivering? / - What was that?

(He sees the sketchbook and shouts the answer)

You didn't even show the other guys.

You only showed Wanna One.

They got it right before we even saw the question.

(They were staring at the monitor)

(Controversy over the Big Mouths class 2)

- So... / - Cancel that.

That doesn't count.

So we'll say that one doesn't count.

- Be precise. / - I will.

Your Honor, please be precise.

Don't worry.

I'm an expert at this stuff.

For this question...

We didn't even get to see the entire question.

(He admits it)

Let's see the next one.

It's coming on the screen, right?

Look at the sketchbook. 1, 2, 3.

(A, V, G, S)

This looks like a hard one.

What is this?

Minhyun.

(He knows already?)

Japanese emotions?

What was that?

These are movie titles.

This was a series.

A series?

It was shot in Korea too.

Jisung!

"The Avengers"!

(Wanna One is correct)

(Our leader is the best)

Jisung is good at this.

Here's the next one.

(R, C)

Seokjin.

"The Mummy."

(Wrong)

Wrong letters.

Oh, right.

(Mumbling)

- "Plot." / - No.

There's no period piece called "Plot?"

Oh!

Is it a period piece?

- It must be a period piece. / - It looks like.

Here's a hint. 10 million...

Did you say 10 million?

Seokjin.

"Roaring Currents."

(The Big Mouths are correct)

(Oh, right)

(You got one)

(Too bad)

Here's your next one.

Look at that.

Let's do this.

Don't forget.

The food is ready. Give us the question.

(F, R, Z, N)

7007?

(A different way to interpret it)

(This is hard)

7007?

That made it more confusing.

Gu...

This is hard.

- Is this a famous movie? / - Very famous.

Very famous?

I think it's a foreign movie.

Here's a hint.

The theme song...

It was a huge hit.

There's that one...

Theme song?

Is it, "Let it Go"?

Jisung!

Is it, "Let it Go"?

Jisung!

I know, I know, I know, I know!

Jisung!

(Devastated)

(So happy)

- What is it? / - "Frozen"!

(Wanna One is correct)

You idiot! You idiot!

- You have poop for brains! / - Traitor!

(I give up)

(Such a crying shame)

"Frozen."

Why would you mention "Let it Go"?

It's a famous song.

You almost had it.

This could be the last question.

Give us the question.

This is a tough one. (K, A, T, C)

Why is it always 4 characters?

(Thinks of something)

Daniel.

"King and the Clown."

(Wanna One is correct)

Daniel. "King and the Clown."

(The Big Mouths lose fair and square)

So the street food goes to Wanna One!

(Hurray)

(Here comes the food)

No, no, no.

The soup.

We need soup.

Thank you for the food.

(Thank you for the food)

So you had set seats for eating.

(Nom)

They know how to eat.

(Delicious)

We knew but we didn't raise our hands first.

Did you know?

- When he said "Let it Go." / - Should've answered.

They were faster after we said "Let it Go."

It went to them.

The lobby looks quieter than last time.

It's the next day now. (Currently 12:04 a.m.)

Now...

(The 97th student leaves)

- 97th. / - 4 people left.

It's starting.

(The 98th student leaves to catch the last bus)

- They're coming out. / - One person came out.

3 people left.

If 3 more people leave...

(We're going out now)

(Daniel and Jisung)

(Go with Jaeseok)

Now 2 more people need to come out.

(Quiet)

(They quietly move to the library entrance)

Oh!

(Someone's leaving)

- How many is that? / - Coming out, coming out.

That's the 100th one.

(Students trickle out to catch the last bus)

(So nervous)

(I'm nervous too)

(And the 101st person)

(Leaves the library)

(It's him?)

(I think it's him)

(They rush him)

(Hello)

This way. We're from Happy Together.

Could we interview you for a moment?

Sure.

- You're coming out from the library? / - Yes.

- You just left? / - Yes.

Come with us for a moment.

(What's going on?)

(Clapping)

Here they come.

(They all wait with confetti)

It's a guy.

Wanna One would've loved it if it was a girl.

Here he comes.

(Welcome)

(They welcome him with confetti)

(Excited)

You have no idea what's going on, do you?

(Has no idea)

This is a segment called Sleepless You.

We'd get the last person to leave the library,

encourage that person and give them a gift.

Today, we waited for the 101st person

to leave the library since we got here.

And you are that person. Your name is?

Hong Juyeong.

Congratulations, Hong Juyeong.

(We welcome today's winner)

Please introduce yourself.

I'm a theology graduate student.

I'm class of 2016. My name is Hong Juyeong.

- Class of 2016... / - He's a graduate student.

Class of 2009 for university.

Oh, class of 2009.

How old are you?

I'm 28. Born in 1990.

- One year from me. / - A year older than Jisung.

(Nice to meet you)

I showed up with Daniel, Jisung and a camera

but you weren't that surprised.

It was nothing to go crazy over.

What did you think at first when you saw them?

That it was a Yu Jaeseok look-alike.

Is that what you thought?

I thought the school network was shooting.

Oh, the school network. You were very calm.

Since he's a theology student.

Are you preparing for an exam?

I have term papers to write next semester.

Say a few words to the people studying out there.

Life is hard these days

and you might think studying

won't help you.

But studying can change the world and yourself.

Mostly, you can learn where your thinking is wrong

and try to rethink that part about yourself.

I wish people would focus more

on the process of studying rather than the results.

Thank you for those great words.

It was like a short sermon.

I felt it.

(A neck pillow to assist long hours of studying)

It's comfortable.

Wanna One, you five worked very hard today.

Thank you.

Let's keep in touch.

Just invite us and we'll be there.

You're our brothers now.

You know blood brothers?

Make sure to tell the other members.

Alright.

We hope you keep performing well for your fans.

We'll see you all next time. Thank you!

(Thank you to Hong Juyeong and Wanna One)

WATERFALL ZIP LINE | TALLER THAN NIAGARA FALLS - Duration: 13:35.

Bonjour Mademoiselles et Monsieurs.

Good morning ladies and gentlemen

It's another beautiful day in Quebec and

right now we're just lounging on the patio of the Montmorency Manor.

We're right above the Montmorency Falls,

and we have an awesome day planned.

We've been in the city of Quebec for a few days.

Now we're going to be exploring all around it. There's some really cool stuff.

We're doing to do some farm-to-table tasting;

We're going to go on a helicopter ride.

But first things first, we're going to do a zipline across these falls.

They're the biggest falls in Quebec, and they're actually taller than Niagara falls by about 100 ft.

Let's go check it out.

We're suited up. Ready to do the zipline.

The zipline basically goes across the whole front of the falls,

and this building behind us is.....

Used to be the summer home of the Duke of Kent from when the British took over from the French.

There was a big battle here fought in the lead up to the final war between the British and the French.

But afterwards the Duke of Kent lived here over the summers

and eventually became the father of Queen Victoria.

Interesting little fact for all of you geology nerds out there, like me.

The Montmorency Falls sit on the Montmorency fault line,

which is basically like Quebec's version of the San Andreas Fault.

There're over 200 minor earthquakes here every year.

But because the the rock is so solid,

it's not even really noticeable.

All right, Brother, are you excited? I'm stoked.

You and I have now done quite a few ziplines.

How does this compare to what we've seen before?

Probably one of the more scenic ziplines we've ever done.

You used to have a little bit of trouble on these types of things.

You've come a long way, Bro.

I know. I still might scream.

So therefore in order to prevent that, I'm going to

make it physically impossible for me to scream.

Switching to GoPro.

1-2-3. Go guys.

[Screams and laughs]

[Muffled scream]

Bro, how was that? That was so fun.

That was really fun. It's not that long,

but you just go right past waterfall.

It's a great location, great view,

and you get two rides for 25 bucks,

which is really cool. Not bad.

It's pretty affordable zipline and a really scenic place.

So now we're going to hop back in the car,

and we're going to head across this bridge

over to the Ile d' Orleans, the Isle of Orleans.

Great stuff over there. It's kind of like the breadbasket.

I was going to say.. it's kind of like the breadbasket of Quebec City.

It's where they grow a lot of vegetables.

There're wineries. There're lots of apple orchards where they make this beautiful cider

So we're going to grab some lunch;

We're going to have some wine and basically just enjoy another beautiful day here.

Alright ladies and gentlemen, we've just crossed the bridge over the Saint Lawrence River,

just opposite Montmorency Falls,

and we're at the Ile d'Orleans.

It's an island the size of Manhattan that is kind of breadbasket of Quebec City.

It's perfect for agriculture, and we're at Cassis Monna et Filles.

It's a local producer that makes some amazing products.. some compotes, some jams.

And not to mention wine.. wine and black currant liqueur.

We're going to go inside and meet the daughters behind this beautiful establishment.

My name is Anne Monna. I'm one of the two sisters of

Cassis Monna et Filles. My sister and I took over my father's business,

we are on the Orleans Island.

So very near to Quebec City.

And we grow blackcurrant, and we do blackcurrant wine, blackcurrant liqueurs, other delicacies.

Blackcurrants is the little berry, black berry.

It's very good for health and very tasty, too

They grow blackcurrants in Europe. It's very, very common,

but here in North America is not very known.

But we have the perfect climate to grow blackcurrant here.

Sante

Alright ladies and gentlemen, it's time to eat.

The food looks incredible; the view is superb.

The beautiful poulet sandwich, chicken sandwich, with a olive and blackcurrant tapenade.

I've got a lovely little summer salad with a blackcurrant sauce and then we have this guy. What is this thing?

Well, we're starting off with some local cheese.

It's been baked in the oven.

Comes with a blackcurrant sauce with some apples,

and of course to match, everything has blackcurrant.

I got champagne with blackcurrant,

and Alex's is blackcurrant Sangria.

Salud. Sante

It's wine time.

Okay, next stop a winery called Vignonle Saint-Petronille

So wine was growing naturally here when the French arrived,

which is why they called it the Isle of Bacchus,

originally named after the Roman god of wine.

There's a long history of cultivation on this island.

This is one of the oldest wineries here in the area,

and we're going to do a sampling of this year's latest varietals.

It's super chill to be here in the summertime.

I know I've said that few times,

but last time we were on this island

It was totally covered in snow.

When they told us that it was a place that produced a lot of agriculture,

It was kind of hard to imagine.

But now you can just see how bountiful this place is.

It does have a microclimate, and it's so close to the city.

There's only six thousand people who live on this island the size of Manhattan.

It limited development so that it stays rural, agricultural.

And people obviously take a lot of pride in what they do here.

You can see it from the air and

actually we are going to see it from the air because we're late.

Got an appointment at the airport. Let's go

Alright ladies and gents, it's about to get fun.

We're about to get really high in a helicopter at the

Complexe Capital Helicoptere.

I think I pronounced that right, and I'm sorry if I pronounced other words wrong

because I'm working on my French.

But that's beside the point. Where are we off to you?

We're going to the main city water falls.

After that Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval.

How long have you been flying? Three years.

What's the best part about being a helicopter pilot?

Being free. Yeah? Flying. Being free. I like that. Okay

Well, Monsieurs, Mademoiselles, ladies and gentlemen,

this brings a conclusion to our

lovely trip here in Quebec City.

It's been fantastique. It's been magnifique.

It's been superbe.

I don't know any other...incroyable

Oh nice, Incredible. It's been amazing.

You know we came here a year and a half ago

in the winter, in the depths of winter, which I really liked.

I think that this is a beautiful city

with the snow on the ground because all the colors pop.

But everyone told us you've got to come back in summer,

and so we did, and we were incredibly pleasantly surprised.

Honestly. What a gorgeous city. It's got the best of the Old World, the best of the New World,

Incredible views,

really, really delicious food,

great nightlife, and the festival, man.

The festival was so much fun, not to mention the people.

We've met really awesome people.

I think it's a great place to practice French because everyone here...

A lot of people speak English, so they can help you with vocabulary,

and they're just really stoked if you try to speak French.

Tried our best to speak French.

I know it's not "parfait", but you know.

Isn't a parfait like fruit and cream.? Yeah.

But the word means "perfect,"

which is why that is so perfect. Mmm.Delicious.

For me one of the highlights of the trip was Jacques Cartier Park

I had no idea that that existed so close to Quebec City.

Honestly one of the most beautiful river valleys I've ever seen in my life.

I really enjoyed sleeping in the longhouse.

I think that was cultural tourism that was a model for sustainability

And just basically that whole type of tourism.

It's a really interesting way of presenting

indigenous First Nation's traditions in a way that is accessible to modern travelers.

We've had some incredible meals on this trip...too many to actually fit in the vlogs series.

So what we've decided to do is compile

them all into a " Best Of" video. It's coming out soon.

It's going to draw upon both this trip and our winter trip to Quebec last time.

So stay tuned for that.

What Makes Someone a Night Owl? - Duration: 5:18.

It's so bright.

How do people get up this early?

It's 11am.

I've always been a night owl… so do you prefer to stay-up late and then sleep-in?

Or do you go to bed and get up early?

Or maybe you're somewhere in between.

This is called your "chronotype" and for a long time scientists have wondered why we

see such a variation between people, and what sort of effects it has on your health.

Luckily we're waking up to some answers!

For starters, the moment you feel like you should go to bed appears to be influenced

by your genetics, and this wasn't discovered by a university or traditional research institute!

It's the work of the personal genetic analysis company Twenty-three and me –

quick footnote, you've met 23&me in a previous episode where you discovered that I'm very

white.

They sponsored that episode, though they're not sponsoring this one.

They looked at DNA from over 100,000 people who sent in spit samples and answered surveys.

One survey question asks participants if they're naturally a morning or night person.

By comparing the DNA of night owls, to the DNA of morning people, the company found fifteen

genetic variants linked to chronotype.

And these differences aren't just hanging out in random places in the genome.

About half of these genetic variants were near genes linked to your body's internal

clock, it's circadian rhythm.

Others were near genes involved in sensing light.

This makes sense when you're talking about natural sleep cycles, and it means that whether

you prefer to stay up late, or get on early start, you were probably born with that tendency.

It's in your DNA.

But this is a point where I grew skeptical, because both my Mum and Dad get up super early.

I can't blame them… for this.

Beyond your genes, other aspects of your biology and physiology are also related to your chronotype.

For example, people tend to wake-up earlier as they get older and, generally, women are

more likely to be morning people than men.

But there's more to it than that.

One study looked at the brains of night owls versus morning people and found that people

who prefer to stay up late have lower levels of white matter stability in certain areas

of the brain.

White matter is made of the parts of brain cells that are covered in fatty myelin sheaths.

The myelin allows signals to be sent quickly from one brain region to another, and gives

white matter its colour.

The study found differences between night owls and early risers that imply a form of

chronic social jet lag for people who naturally stay up later.

And if you look at personality and behavioural differences between morning and evening people,

this makes sense.

Sometimes I feel like I'm always jet lagged.

Now I can call it, chronic social jet lag.

Morning people tend to be more cooperative, agreeable, conscientious, and proactive.

They're also just happier on average.

Night owls, on the other hand, have a higher risk for depression.

They eat more than morning people, and the type of food they eat is less healthy.

They're more likely to abuse nicotine and alcohol, and they're at higher risk for

things like sleep apnea.

Cool.

Luckily, there are also perks.

An average, night owls are smarter, and they have more intercouse.

More interpersonal relations.

Both groups show the highest aptitude for problem solving when they're naturally most

awake, and the highest levels of creativity during their less alert hours, whenever that

may be.

Here's another footnote, if you would like to watch this video and figure out when that

is for you.

Overall, whether you wake up and go to bed early, or late, neither is going to make you

healthier, wealthier, or wiser.

Sorry Ben Franklin.

Finally, because evolutionary biology just has it's own way of explaining everything,

one theory says variations in sleeping patterns may exist to make it more likely that someone

will be awake and "on watch" in case there's a predator or other emergency.

Since my dog and I both sleep until 10am, this is really not that relevant in my home.

We're both just sitting ducks.

So I'm interested to know if you're a night owl or a morning person, and how that's

changed over the course of

your life.

5 Reasons You're Not Fluent in English Yet | Part 2 - Duration: 4:42.

Learning a language can be a very rewarding experience, but it can also be very frustrating.

I know this from personal experience of both being a language learner, and

a language teacher.

I've learnt 2 languages, and the first time I struggled a lot and made a lot of learning

mistakes.

When I learnt another language, I learnt from my previous mistakes and was able to progress

a lot faster, and I also enjoyed the learning experience a lot more too.

My name's Jennifer, a certified English teacher, and in today's video I'm going to share with

you 5 reasons why students fail to become fluent.

Every morning I wake up at 6:00 am and work out.

I do this every morning, and I've done it for over 5 years.

It's my morning routine.

If I didn't commit myself to working out at the same time every day, and simply said "Oh

I'll work out when I have time" I wouldn't do it.

I would keep pushing the time later and later until the day was over.

The same happens for studying English.

If you don't have a routine of studying, then you won't do it.

Maybe your routine is listening to English news every morning when you eat breakfast.

Or writing about your day every night before you go to bed.

Find a routine that works for you, and stick to it.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

This is a common English expression to remind us that achievements and accomplishments take

time.

I've had students who get frustrated when they can't pronounce a sound correctly after literally

2 minutes of trying.

In the long run, 2 minutes is nothing.

It's certainly not enough time to permanently learn something new.

Be patient with yourself.

Anything worth doing takes time and hard work.

A teacher's job isn't to do the work for you.

A teacher is more of a mentor and guide.

There's an expression in English "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force

it to drink".

A lot of students don't follow through on the advice, or exercises and work I give them.

They don't do the work, but also get frustrated when they don't see the results.

The results are in their hands, not mine.

I can't force students to study. You need to motivate yourself and take responsibility for your own learning.

Learning a new skill is an investment.

If you're not willing to invest, then perhaps you should postpone learning until you are ready.

Once you do invest, do it wisely.

Have a plan in place and follow through.

Otherwise your investment will be wasted.

Remember, success is in your hands.

Usually students give up right before they're about to achieve their goal.

They're so close, but not close enough.

And usually they give up because of the reasons above: they think they'll never reach their

goal; they don't have a clear goal or motivation; it's more work than they thought; they never

study so aren't seeing the results. Don't give up, you can and will improve your English.

What's been your biggest challenge for becoming fluent?

Let me know in the comments.

And remember, making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process.

It's ok if you make mistakes.

But it's so important to recognize your mistakes, learn from them, and improve.

If you found this video helpful, please hit the like button, share it with your friends, and

of course subscribe.

Top 5 UNIQUE Places To Take Photos of NYC ! 📸 (Travel Guide) - Duration: 4:35.

What's up members of the Barrio?

Are you visiting New York City and tired of taking the same photos that everybody else does?

Well you're in luck

Because today i'm going to be showing you 5 unique places

that have amazing views

Now before we begin I do want to encourage you to subscribe and have notifications

Turned on so you don't miss out on

Any of my travel vlogs or tips videos

As much as I want to wax poetically about how much I love New York City

And how great of a place it is to take photos

Most of you out there tend to have attention spans of 3 year olds

When it comes to YouTube videos

So we're just going to get right to the list

And we're going to start off with a classic New York tourist spot

But with a twist

I undertook this photo journey with two of my vlogger friends. That's Maiku and that's Pierre

And i'm going to link to their channels below.

Most people know that if you take the Staten Island Ferry

You can get a great view of downtown Manhattan

And the statue of liberty for free

But what they don't know is that their is a bottom level that used to hold cars.

Take the staircase there on the main floor

And you'll find that you may just have the whole thing to yourself.

With a lack of people

You can easily find awesome places to take photos

Including my favorite through a porthole

You can try to time it just right where you get a sweet photo

Of either the statue of liberty or downtown Manhattan

Alright our next stop

Had us crossing the East River

Going to Dumbo

So you walk past the carousel by the Brooklyn Bridge

And find the new mini-mall

Now head to the top floor

One word of warning

It was raining at this point

So i'm going to show you what it looked like

And then show you what a good photo from here under the right lighting

Would look like from my boy Josh from NY

A great instagrammer

So even with the clouds you can see the carousel, the brooklyn bridge, and one world trade center on a nice line here

And Josh's shot completely blows it away though

Taken right after sunset

Wow

Next up is probably one of your best views of New York City

If you want to get up close and perosnal

With the skyline

To find the Tudor City Overpass

Head to Grand Central Station and walk out on 42nd street

Heading east until you pass 2nd ave

And look for the staircase

Head up the stairs

And you're going to be greeted with this elevated view of 42nd street

This provides a really cool perspective of the Chrylser Building

At the end

And the shot is even more compelling if you add some cars

Here's Josh from NY's photo at night

Although you would need a good nightime lens to really nail this one

My 2nd pick on the list requires you to leave New York City

But just barely

We headed to Hoboken which is only 1 stop away from Manhattan on the path train

And while most people like to stop right next to the station

You're going to be a little bolder

And walk 15 minutes up the path, on the water

Until you cross the street to Stevens Institute

Walk up the stairs

And follow signs to the Castle Point Lookout

It's the highest point in Hoboken

And as an added bonus

Has a revolutionary War Cannon just sitting there

But it's quite a unique perspective on the Hudson River

And offers fantastic views

Of the New York City Skyline

This was a tough list to make

But my number one unique view of New York City

Is also one of the toughest ones to access

But i'm going to explain to you exactly how to do it

We're heading uptown to Washington Heights

Take the A Train to 181st street

Once you get to the street

Head west towards the Hudson River

And take this overpass over the westside highway

Now you have to follow the bike path all the way around

You'll know you're close when you can see the George Washington Bridge

On your right side

Through the trees

Keep going and you'll get right under the G-W and find this really random red lighthouse

This place isn't really well known even to residents of the city

And provides the perfect photo opportunity with it pointing directly at the Hudson River

Underneath one of New York's most iconic bridges

Alright members of the barrio I hope you enjoyed those 5 views

Do tell me in the comments

Which one was your favorite

Or maybe you know a better one

That's not so popular out there

Hope you enjoyed

All of this footage

Be sure to subscribe if you're new

Pound that like button

And I've got a lot more coming out

From New York City

So definitley check out that playlist

Thank you so much for watching. Until next time

They won't hear you anyway, this is going to be muted

Actually they might even think I'm you

3 Essential Hair Fall Treatments - How To Make Your Hair Grow Faster At Home - Duration: 5:12.

Has hair fall become a permanent part of your life?

Dont worry as you are not alone!

This has become a common problem for many people around the world.

It may be hereditary or caused due to a lifestyle habit.

But despite the reasons, it is a serious problem and should be addressed carefully.

Today's video will discuss Essential Hair Fall Treatments.

Hair loss does not lead to any health problem but it does make one very conscious about

her look.

If you have started experiencing hair fall recently, then here are some ways to lessen

it.

What are the Causes of hair loss?

1.

There are many causes for alopecia or hair loss.Allergies, toxins, chemicals, burns,

injuries and infections.

2.

Also some medications like anabolic steroids can cause hair loss like those used in kidney

failure, chemotherapy and radiation.

3.Even vitamin overdose may lead to hair fall, iron deficiency, anemia, thyroid, fever or

pregnancy can cause hair loss.

4.

Hair Fall can also result when one indulges in too much bleaching, dyeing, tight braiding,

blow drying or using hot curlers.

Types of Hair Fall Treatment:

There are many types of hair fall as well as alopecia.

Each type can be cured with the usage of different types of medications.

These may be homemade remedies, Ayurvedic, homeopathy, allopathic, naturopathy as well

as products from the market.

1.

Homeopathy for Hair Loss Treatment:

Homeopathy is a popular medicinal practice widely used to control and address hair fall

problems.

It has been accepted as a safe way to stop or at least control hair fall.

There are around 45 million men and 20 million women who have been affected by hair fall

problems.

Also they report that there has been an increase in hair loss cases by 250 per cent in the

last five years.

Even those in the age group of 16-25 have been affected.

Homeopathy is used to treat the hair fall from the roots so that it is highly effective.

2.

Naturopathy Treatment for Hair Loss:

Nature is a very potent source for nutrition.

From the very first stage of life, we depend on nature for many things which are a necessity

to survive.

The most basic treatment as prescribed by naturopathy is vitamin supplements.

Nutrients like vitamin B and iron help in hair growth.

Also grape seed oil is a great way to treat hair fall.

Some herbs are also seen as a great way to stimulate blood flow in the scalp.

These are ginkgo biloba and bilberry extracts.

Also it has been found that saw palmetto is a great for hair loss.

Using a blend of rosemary oil and olive oil is also good for hair.

This is one of the best treatment for hair loss ever to be followed.

It takes some time to produce results but the effects are certainly more permanent than

any other form of hair loss treatment.

3.

Common Treatments for Hair Fall:

1) Anthralin (dritho- scalp) :

This is an ointment to help control hairfall.

It is applied to the scalp and then washed off after a certain amount of time.

The application has to be done daily to see best results.

This cream may take 6 to 12 months to show any significant results.

2) Aminomar C (viviscal):

Viviscal has patented this marine complex which is said to nourish hair follicle from

within.

Using aminomar c with supplements for 4-6 months has shown hair to become stronger and

more vibrant.

The treatment has also has shown significant signs of hair growth too.

But there has been no proof as to how this works.

3) Corticosteroids: This is a treatment for alopecia areata.

The corticosteroid is injected into the scalp to stop hairfall.

This method works quickly although if there is rapid hair loss.

oral pills are also prescribed to tackle the hair loss.

The results may take up to a month to be seen.

4) Hormonal Modulators:

Female pattern hair loss which may be the result of excessive malehormone secretion

can be controlled with the use of oral contraceptives or antiandrogens.

These help to reduce hair loss associated with hyperandrogenemia.

The demarcating feature of their physique is their almond or inverted U-shaped eyes.

Males are usually tall and thin.

They are intrigued by UFOs and technology.

They often work as an energy healer.

4.

it's so smooth, pimple-less and pore-less

and what if i'll tell you that with the right irritation

(which im not doing)

you can also have such flawless skin!

in the last few years i've done my research and tried to find out what's their secret

and today i'm going to tell you few of the tips i've found!

the first thing is the 10-steps routine which you should do every night.

This routine includes the first step, which is removing your makeup.

You have to remove ALL your makeup

First, using a makeup remover

and then wipe your face using makeup-remover wipes.

the second step is also very very important

it's the face cleansing

just for being sure that there is no piece of dirt or makeup on your face

you take a facial soup, rub it on your face

and wash it out

the third step is the exfoliating, and it is not reccomended to do more than 3 times a week

now, the exfoliator can be a soft one which you can do 4-5 times a week

or one really deep-cleansing which you should do less than 3-2 times a week.

whatever you choose, i personally preffer the deep cleansing one.

and this is really to make sure that your skin grows up as a new and clean skin, and clean pores

no dead skin,

just fresh.

the next step is the toner.

the toner is in charge of balancing the acidity(?) in your skin

and prepare the skin for the other products we gonna use.

the most reccomended and popular toner in korea

and the one which i had a great experience with

is this toner of etude house

from wonder pore collection

which is really really good, it closes the pores and cleaning the skin

and refreshing the skin, you can use it as a refresher as well

like, if youre hot and you feel dirty from sweating you can put some on a cotton pad and rub it over your face

and youre good as new ;)

the next step is the essence

essence is basically preparing your skin and......

preparing your skin for a better absorption of the next products

this is the essence that i use which is also very popular in korea

it's also from the wonder pore collection of etude house

it's really really good,

and at those times i used skincare a lot

it really really helped me and healed my pimples

amazing.

the next step which is also the favorite of every skin care lover i've ever met

is the sheet mask!

as you can see, i have a LOT of masks

but the one i reccomend the most

is this mask of tony moly from the i'm real collection, the pore care one

just because it closes the pores and smoothen the skin, and in the morning your skin will look flawless

like a baby's!!!

it's important to note that

after you put off the mask

please absorb the lefties into your skin in circular motions

and massage your face

the massage is really important for the muscles and blood

and it really really helps the skin

the next step is the serum

a serum treats a specific problem you have in your skin

redness, dry skin, akne, etc

i personally have no serum since i have no specific problem

so i won't show you what i have, because i don't have

and after the serum you should put on an eye cream

an eye cream is not only for old people

there are eye creams that brighten up your under-eye area

and will make you look less tired in the morning

and also streching that area so you wont have eye bags

this is the eye cream that i use

it is also very very popular in korea, i bought it because i heared so much good things about this product

it is from the moistfull collagen collection of etude house

(yeah i use a lot of etude house's products)

and it's really really helpful and beautiful

the last step is the moisturizer

now, for moisturizer it is reccomended to buy two types

a morning cream, and a night cream

i bought both of the types, the morning cream and the night cream

the morning cream you just put in the morning after you wash your face (very important to wash your face)

and the night cream you put on as the last step of the 10 steps routine

it's important to me to say that those creams are really really good,

they give such flawless shine to your skin and makes it so smooth and poreless

and really helps your skin look much more beautiful

now, except for those 10 steps,

it is really important to eat right

which the diet is based basically on fruits and vegetables

i personally don't love fruits and vegetables, that's why my skin is kinda bad

and drink a LOT of water!

it's so important!

not only for the skin, but also for your health

i drink 3L of water DAILY

thanks god i'm healthy

another secret that basically

it is really important and NO ONE talks about it

is removing facial hair

facial hair, especially those that grows here usually makes the skin look dirtier and darker

so it's important to remove this hair

it will bring light to your face and make it look much more beautiful

(i sound like my mom lol)

and makes the skin smoother

try it once and see

how much it improves the situation

and update me!

yes, it hurts, really hurts

but it worths it.

also very important that when you put on primer or foundation,

pay attention and check if there's talc or sillicon

it is filling the pores and will bring you pimples

and will give you black heads

and it's really terrible

yeah i broke my nails, yay

so try to avoide this such of products

and if there's no choice

than try to remove it the best you can at the end of the day

with exfoliation and everything. bleach it idk lol

and for the most important thing.

continuity.

it won't help if you will do skincare for two days or for a week

and than you will stop it

it just won't help.

if you really wanna see an improvement and achive good results

than persist. you have to persist.

okay?

i can tell about myself that for a month i did skincare every night

i did the 10 steps routine

and ate a lot of vegetables and fruits, drank a lot of water

i haven't done any makeup!

and my skin was just like...

like a doll's.

and then i left it all

and returned to my normal skin, which i'm really sorry about

and i really really want to come back to this

and, you know what?

a challenge: i will come back to the skincare routine.

i also forgot to say that it is summer now.

and when you go out to the sun

the sun is really harmful for your skin

and...

if you really wanna take care of your skin

put on sun protector. i know that it sounds nerdy and not israeli

but...

put on sun protector!!!

it is so important, and it will protect you

you can even re-put your sun protector every few hours

it really worth it.

i really don't know any korean that goes out in the summer without putting on sun protection.

and it is one of their biggest secrets, they just won't let the sun harm their skin from young age

another thing that is important to say

make sure that you use products that suits your skintype

pay attention to what is your skin color (wait, what skin color)

(what, i'll film the video from the begining because of this? well, no)

pay attention to what is your skin TYPE

dried, oily, normal

pay attention to this and choose the products that suits you

because it is really important

now, something that i wanna reccomend for girls with oily and sensitive skin like mine

is this soap of swanicoco

it is called snail care skin toner

it is really really REALLY good

i had it until like... two years ago?

and it's empty, and i have no idea where to buy it

i will try to search and if i'll find i'll put the link down below (done! found it)

it is really amazing, i'm a fan. it leaves the skin just...

clean and fresh.

no sensitivity, just amazing.

the problem is that it's made of snails lol

so if you have no problem with it than buy it,

it really worth it.

and that's it basically!

Keloid Season Finale: New Web Series for Blerds and Nerds - Duration: 10:29.

Is this where my father's buried?

You know why I'm a great detective Lloyd?

Because I'm patient.

I know they always come back to the scene of the crime.

What?

All you have to do is wait.

Wait for what?

I never knew your father.

That was a lie!

What are you doing to me?

It's called warping son.

Be patient.

FOR WHAT!

Yes, I'm on...I was holding for Detective Guthrie.

Finally, hell.

I have some new information.

The boy, the boy I told you about.

He called my daughter's phone.

No I don't have her phone.

I never disconnected it and it comes to...

you know what, what does it matter?

I know where the boy is.

(unintelligible speaking though phone)

But this is a break in the case.

Detective, my daughter is not a runaway!

SHE'S MISSING!

Now this is a break in the case, isn't it?

The boy called!

He called...

(crying)

My baby didn't run away.

Fuck this!

I know you've got questions.

(telepathy) Keloid, concentrate.

Block out everything else.

There she is.

I thought I killed you.

You wish.

That's the woman I remember.

Violent, temperamental.

Crazy!

Mom!

You've gotten lazy (telepathy)

Well, let the games begin.

Let him go (telepathy)

No!

Today we finish what we started years ago.

How does he know so much about you?

He's a tracker.

You say it with such disdain.

I know a lot about you too Keloid.

I was there when you were born.

Shut up!

Mom!

You should have told him.

Told me what?

What is he talking about?

I was going to tell you.

Oh really?

When?

I was a tracker.

What?

The people who come in your sleep, steal your trigger and kill you?

Keloid.

Think about Aisha right now.

Remember what happened between the two of you?

Stop apologizing.

I guess you are sick.

Come here.

Key, Keloid.

You're burning up.

Hey, that's not even the good part.

I'm not feeling too well right now.

That woman right there.

The one you keep calling mom?

She's not your mother.

She tracked your mother and she killed her!

That's a lie!

Oh, never trust a cunt.

Take it from me.

I was a tracker.

He was my partner.

I was your lover.

By the time we got to your mother she'd already given birth.

The umbilical cord wasn't even cut yet.

He wanted to kill you both.

I stopped him.

When I saw you, it was the first time in my life I fell in love.

I knew you never loved me.

I'm not the same person I used to be.

You changed me.

Did you take her trigger?

My, my real mother?

Did you?

Yes.

Keloid.

It's now or never.

Think of Aisha.

You're burning up.

(gasping...electricity..whimpers)

What happens if you wake up without a trigger?

Without a trigger, you don't come back as yourself.

You come back.

But you certainly won't remember anything or anyone.

(laughing)

(electricity)

Get that plastic.

Keloid.

(crying)

Please.

I'll take you to where she's buried.

You asked me about your name.

It's from your mother.

She wouldn't let go of my hand until I promised

to name you Keloid.

Why are you still talking to me?

I kept my promise

It's not too late key.

We can still give her, her trigger before she wakes up.

So where is she?

Mom. Wake up.

Mom. Wake. Wake up.

Please, you have to wake up.

Please, you have to wake up.

Mom, please. Wake up.

Everything

and everybody

happens for a reason.

You have to find your reason.

TOUZANI & YANNICK CARRASCO 💯 - Duration: 9:07.

You're from a small town called Vilvoorde

From a young age I would play football in the park.

Streetfootball as well

Are you an honest person? - Yes I'm always honest.

Have you ever been the last one chosen?

The last one? Never

Never? - Never!

Tell it to the camera. - Never!

I wanted to win. - You have to win.

I wanted to win, but with the show element

With this challenging attitude.

Like... I almost want to laugh at the opponent.

Does the number 28 mean anything to you?

Your age?

Thanks man

The 28th of May

The 28th of May 2016

Ohh why don't you tell me the... That's the final of the Champions League

But that's something I want to forget fast because I lost that one.

Are you sharp? - Yes I'm sharp

But really sharp?

No not really sharp because I just had 2 training sessions. So....

He is already covering up a little.

We're gonna start with a game called head and catch

Head means to catch the ball and catch means to head the ball

Head

Okay that's sharp! - But you...

Head

Sharp sharp

Okay catch

Hey nice! Head

You know what it is. Everyone thinks about stress before the final. Or stress before any match.

I'm not like that at all

For instance. I used to stress when I had to come in front of the class for a presentation

Or even today when I have to talk in front of 500 people. Then I'm like....

But when I have to play in a full stadium in a final or something else...

Because I play the same as when I'm on the streets with my friends. I have a lot of fun

I've seen the way you controll the ball. That is incredible.

I'd like to do that with you today.

I will shoot the ball as hard as possible. My goal is to break something with my shot.

Nothing wrong here...

I can make you swear on something. And you wouldn't even notice.

Okay - Do you swear sometimes?

Sometimes

Okay so you're walking in a desert.

For 100 meters now

At one point you can only go to the right or left. Where would you go?

To the right

Okay you walk 50 meters again. You can go to the right or left. Where do you go?

To the right

You already know this one.

Yes, no.

You head for another 100 meters. Where would you go? To the left or to the right?

To the right

Oh you know this one.

No I really don't. - Yes you do

I sw.... I don't know this one.

I don't know this one.

What did you say?

Nothing

You were like: I swea... uhhhhmm

No man!!!

That's what you said

I really don't know this one. - Yes you do

I SW... I don't know this one

Do you know the 'Yes and No game'? -What?

Saying Yes or No is not allowed.

YES I know th......

Stop stop stop

Shit!

Do you trust me? - Yes I trust you

You will sit over there. And I have to shoot the ball right next to you

Preferably here. So....

The challenge is: You are NOT allowed to blink your eyes.

When you blink, it's game over

My way of playing... I'm at my best when I lauggh

When you laugh? - Yes

Before a match I can't stay focussed when...

Like... Someone has to listen to music to stay focussed on the match.

You don't have that?

No I have to laugh before the match. I have to be loose.

That reminds me of 1 person who laughs all the time.

Ronaldinho

That's someone who also...

But he's all the way up there

He laughs all the time. I can get angry at the court sometimes. You know...

When it doesn't go the way I want it to go. Or something with the referee.

I can get angry, but he never gets angry.

He even smiles when. I remember 1 time he accidentally got a red card.

He laughs

Everyone says Ronaldinho was... - Is he your favourite?

Honestly...

He really was...

He is the guy - Too much

Too much?

I just want to watch Ronaldinho

Not even... I just want to watch Ronaldinho

What if we would go the City centre of Madrid with a mask on.

And nutmeg as many people as possible within 10 minutes

Nutmegs. - Yes

Are you ready? - I'm ready

Okay which one can I sell to you?

You can choose - Can I choose?

Are you sure? - I'm sure

Hey take it easy man!

And still he's a lot more handsome than I am.

Yes this one is perfect. - Yeah?

This is gonna be sick! With Yannick... Carrasco. On fire like tabasco

Yes man

How do you feel? - Uhhh it's a little hot

Well... Don't worry. People don't know who you are

Aha!

Normally you wouldn't be able to walk here? - No

When you walk here and you see Real Madrid fans. Is that bad?

No - It's not that bad?

It's more like... A lot of people come to you and it's chaos

Yes photos and stuff you know.

What voice would you give this mask? What would fit?

A weird voice

That's very weird

Thank you

It's time for nutmeg incognito!

3, 2, 1 go!

A nice nutmeg!

Oh I'll count that one as well

3, 2, 1.

And... stop!

Hey do you know how many people you nutmegged?

Honestly I don't know. You were suppose to count.

That's true, but I lost the count

At one point the 2 of us started doing it together. It doesn't matter.

It's time for...

FC GIVE AWAY!

You can win this. What do you have to do? You have to be a subscriber of this channel

And you have to like this video. BUT....

You should also send us an original postal card...

To this address. I will also leave it in the description.

And what is the prize?

These shoes!

The final words are for you

It was great to do this with him.

And I'm very happy to meet him

He is a great player and very sympathetic

And he's a great player and very sympatethic.
