today we're going to the beach

hi it's been a while and I've been working 12 hour shifts everyday as you

guys know so I had to shut down the block and now it looks like the vlog is

gonna be at least transitioning hopefully I'm still gonna publish on

this channel I want to make more crazy edits and I want to make more I've long

had a problem with the daily stuff the issue is not actually uploading the

issue is that I want to upload more ambitious stuff I want to upload stuff

that takes longer to edit than just the 24 hour period I can have as a maximum

so in order to do that I have to stop doing daily on this channel and that

only are loading once a week this channel is going to be me uploading

blocks whenever something interesting happens in my life and hopefully a lot

is going to happen since I'm moving country starting a new education living

in in San Francisco is just hopefully going to be insane and yeah I would love

to share that it's not like this channel is gonna change much it's not gonna be a

daily vlogging channel it is gonna stay a vlogging channel hopefully I'll be

making my own film scoring which means the music underneath my movies and I'm

hoping to do that a lot more than I have been doing hopefully everything is gonna

Hi guys, second goal of the year, bikepark of Lenzerheide. This bikepark

is famous, because one month ego there was the DH world cup race

There are three lines. A blue one, a red one and a black one.

I'll do with my friend Piergiussepe, that I'll introduce you later, we will do the blue line and

the red one, we won't do the black one because we have a strong instinct of survival

Before going up, we made a tour in the fantastic store below

Pier is a complete cyclist, doing both MTB and road bike

However his experience in bikeparks is zero. Courage to sell, no fear

he was only worried about one thing, the small metal drop. "Bravooo". And in fact, at

first downhill taaacc, he approached the drop too fast

and he crashed against the fences. So Pier asked me to show him

how to approch drops and jump like a freerider

My name is Raquel, and I am married to Jeremiah.

Together we have three beautiful children.

One of my favorite things to do is lead worship,

with my husband here at Revive Israel.

My parents are originally from Columbia

and they moved to the United States when they were young.

A few years later, they found out about their Jewish roots.

Soon after that, they felt a strong calling to move to Israel.

In 2007, I made aliyah with my family from the United States.

In 2010, I visited Revive Israel for the first time.

Ever since, I have been part of the Revive Israel family.

This year, in 2017, the Lord has called me to officially join the Revive Israel team.

I am now responsible for all Spanish communications as well as to oversee the hospitality in our guest room.

Why Is Syrup Sticky? - Duration: 3:18.

Water, on its own, is not sticky.

And sugar, on its own, isn't sticky either.

But put sugar and water together in the right ratio – and add some heat – and you get

a sticky, sticky, delicious, sticky mess.

So why are all sugary liquids, from honey to molasses to maple syrup, so sticky?

Well, it turns out that both water and sugar ARE sticky, at least on a molecular level.

That's because both have tiny charges on them that act like little magnets around atoms

of the opposite charge.

These charges are the reason water molecules stick together to form drops and sugar molecules

stick together to form crystals.

And yet, on an everyday scale, sugar and water aren't sticky, for two different reasons.

Water is made out of H2Os, which are really small, so as they slosh around, they can easily

slide past each other.

This allows liquid water to flow, so it can move around easily and transfer from one surface

to another – not sticky.

Sugar, on the other hand, is made up of much larger molecules, and at room temperature,

they're locked together in a solid, so only a few charges are exposed on the outside of

each crystal.

And because solids don't flow, only a few exposed charges are close enough to the surface

to stick to it, which isn't enough to make the crystal as a whole stick - again, not

sticky.

But when a sugar crystal gets dropped in water, its molecules detach from each other and re-attach

to H2Os.

Only, when lots of sugar gets added, the sugars end up sticking to each other too.

And here's where things start to get sticky, because those big bulky sugar molecules can't

slide past each other nearly as easily as H2Os can, which is why syrups like molasses

are thick and viscous.

But because it's still a liquid, it flows well enough for most of the exposed sugar

molecules to stick to your skin, forming a thick layer that adheres to you like glue.

In fact, it's a lot like glue – good old Elmer's works pretty much the same way,

except that it's full of molecules that form really really long chains, which get

super tangled and locked together – and to other surfaces – as the water in the

glue evaporates.

So, in principle, you could use syrup as a glue – but you probably shouldn't use

glue as a syrup.

Did you know that sugar was once such a rare commodity that it was packaged with actual

treasure as a gift to the King of Spain?

At the time, the world's only sugar source was the sugarcane plant, which only grew in

the tropics.

But then, someone figured out how to extract sugar from the sugar beet, which could grow

anywhere.

And then, with the advent of the steam engine, it was suddenly possible to process the same

amount of sugar in a single day that used to take an entire decade to produce.

This led to massive consumption of sugar, which some scientists now argue is to blame

for a lot of modern diseases, including certain types of cancer.

I learned all of this yesterday in a few spare minutes by listening to Blinkist, a new digital

My friend is now in Greece

He was at the island of Mykonos

And he said Mykonos has the smallest airport in the World

He said it looks like a train station

Or like a bus station

Well it's good there IS an airport there

It's already great. In Russia we don't have airports even in some big cities

In order to get there, you need to go to Moscow first and take a train

Yeah, that stuff isn't developed here

But they do have an airport, even if it's small. It's still an airport

As for the song... the video was fun

But the song was kinda sad, I got sad

I think it's about love
