hello everyone my name is Dy-K
I'm not used to make videos
it's my very first one
if I do it's to participate to the
500 subs challenge of the post apocalyptic carpenter
congratulation to have reach that many subscibers
you make interesting videos and you seem nice
the challenge was about to build
a self sufficient settlement in tenpines bluff
with enough settlers, ressources
and defenses
there's 3 rules to this challenge
to have a doctor
a shooting range, and fix the house in the back of the settlement
I've followed all the rules
I only need to show you my settlement now
i hope you'll enjoy the video and you too carpenter
on the right you see my gard dog (female)
called Bally
I bought to a guy travelling down here
on the rails
it was hard for him to sell her
he wished
to sell her to someone who'll take care of her
and that she'll be happy
as you see she's no beaten
she feels good and has her own dog house
the settlers are pleased to have her
on the left
is the guard post
there's 2 guards
this one is called Jerry
let's see what he has to say

it's the first guard I had
he feels good in that settlement
he's rarely negative
he usually talks more
but it's ok
let's check on Thomas
who's usually a bit more pessimist
here is the room for them to take a break
so cigarette break or
to have a drink

as I said this one is not very enlighted
but he's a good guard looking after all this area
let's go downstairs
here is the kitchen area
every settlers can use it
and finally the guards shack
they sleep here
as you see it's quite rudimentary
but it seems enough to me
there's 2 beds 2 matress and that's it
I didn't want to use a sleeping bag
because I think they need at least a good physical condition
to do a good job
it's better to not have back pain or any pain
or even being tired because they're on duty for long periods of time
here as you see I didn't touch the shack
from the outside because inside, I've done something
I've made it an utility room
and a bathroom
with toilet
shower
and the washing machine
as you see I've used
mods
as I'm talking about it
I want to say I don't use building mods (swaPA and all)
only furniture mods
because there's not enough of them in the base game
ie: for beds
I think that 200 years a nuclear disaster
people will not use crappy stuff anymore
they'll have better base to start from
it's the very least

they sit around the fire usually

as I said I've used mods
and I don't have every workshop dlc's
I've seen target switches in them and I don't have them
so I've used this ones instead
I think it works well
or cans and bottles
there's a bunch of stuff to do here
they can train during the night, if they want to

I've 8 settlers 8 beds so no
sometimes I can't understand the settlers
so we can have a look at the settlement stats

also use as a chill out area apparently
maybe they have an appointement

where there is 2 beds
they're actually used by
farmers
a closet to store stuff
here, the balcony
overlooking the settlement
I didn't decorate it it's just to
enjoy the view, when we go upstairs or wake up
here you can have a small glimpse at the bar
and the rooms upstairs

downstairs there is the bar
and upstairs 3 rooms
let's first look at the terrace
very chill
a nice view
it's a place I really like in this settlement
if they want to play checkers they can
read a book on the bench as well

windows are a bit dirty but nothing I can do about it

are the rooms of the first 2 settlers I had
with the guard

I have 2 turrets

wich is nice because there's no railing yet

this is my recruitement post
I mean the recruitement beacon
and my wind turbines
I just realised I've not make a walk around of the house
that I fixed
this is for working
I'll go a bit faster
So I have my doctor here in the clinic
I have settlers and enough ressources
to live peacefully
enough defenses
the shooting range
and the fixed house
I think I'll end on that note
