add - wd1 - five five now we all know that the thirds have attacked and the

level seven threats are in the area and we're all aware from the breaking news

that the Oracle station has been attacked and you can get missions to fly

in there and get survivors and you can pick up damaged escape pods when you fly

around the station you can't find any of those escape pods so where'd you find

them well I'll tell you you can find them in other locations in system and by

that I mean they may be at the level 7 threat signal sources level 5 level 6

that are in that are in the system but also the distress call and in some cases

the banner cargo ship that's also at pasting its heading over it to the

distress call the Federation have had it this time they must have mobilized a

fleet to go and stem the thyroid threat at the Oracle Space Station and got a

good kick in now I find it a bit ironic now that there's no far grade debris

that I can see anywhere around here even when you consider that the weapons are

now in game the ax weapons and players have taken down in some cases

single-handedly taken down an interceptor and when you wing up who

knows what might happen so perhaps a little bit more thought needs to go in

to some of these distress causes some of these battles there's some big ships

here some powerful ships you've got the main capital ship that we can see on the

screen now but also the Corvette's and the gunships and the assault ships

and then there's you know a raft of small condors by the look of it floating

around that of fallen fowl to the thyroid weaponry

okay so whereas before before these weapons hit us I think this was pretty

good now perhaps that a little bit more

attention to detail and thought needs to go in to the distress calls and some of

the more of these other in-game artifacts because they can be killed we

do have the technology apparently okay so in this area you're gonna find some

damaged escape pods you're also gonna find some occupied escape pods if you've

got there before our Far East friends have got there now upon occasion

if you do drop into this distress call you may find the Thorogood scanning

around be very careful if you irritate him it will bring in they will bring in

reinforcements I got a right old pasting yesterday when doing a live stream I

must have rammed in got a bit too close another one jumped in and that was the

end of me and hello to the revive screen now this is quite atmospheric take away

the fact that there's no thyroid damage any way or any thyroid bits of shit

I'm going to explain to you the benefit of this lock and I'm going to show you how to

install it quick and easy, so stay tuned.

Yes, the installation is super simple, all you really need is just a screwdriver and

a screwdriver to install this lock and let me show you right now how to install really

quick and fast, stay tuned.

Quick overview, what's included in the box, I already unbox it for you.

This comes with installation instruction, it comes with a keypad lock user guide, also

it has the programming code and the user code, yellow sticker; it's very important to keep

it because you will need it for future programming.

Also it comes with the latch with one key, it comes with a 9 V battery, all the screws

that you need for the installation, the strike plate and also the pin to remove the levers

if you need it of course and it comes with the back faceplate.

It comes with a mounting plate and the key pad itself, so this is what is included in

the box, so let me show you step-by-step how to install it correctly.

The first step is going to be installing the latch and the most important as well.

Make sure that the side of the latch actually fits to the side of the door where its locking,

so you won't hit the other side, sometimes it happens you know.

Okay, so putting in two screws and also don't forget about the size of

the latch, because some door installation are 2 3/8" and some 2 3/4" backset

this one is adjustable, so basically it fits both, so this is really good as well

and you don't have to do anything for that.

Okay, so we're good here and once we complete installation of the latch, make sure the screws

are tight, now we're going to move to install the actual keypad.

You guys want to remember you also have another yellow sticker with the programming code,

if you guys need it, if you lost or you forgot the programming code and if you lost your

keypad lock user guide as I mentioned earlier.

Many of my customers always lose it because they just seems to do that, so you also have

a sticker right here with the program code as well.

Okay, so let's start, what you need to do is take that cable and just slide it underneath

the latch, not in the middle or anything like that, I see customers doing that mistake,

so don't do that.

Just underneath the latch and just slide it in, just like this, now let's twist it.

What we will need now is to play with that a little bit, that small screw right here

basically holding the mounting plate.

So this cable, see the plate, that's the backside of it; this space right here, the

connector here is actually going right here in this hole, just slide it in just like that

and just push it and you can hear that it actually connects the screw and it's basically

holding it.

Now we're going to connect the two wires, okay, also we're going to connect the 9V

battery and you're going to hear a beep.

If you hear the beep, it means that the lock is working, we didn't program it yet, but

we will shortly.

Believe it or not we're almost finished guys, try to put it back, it doesn't have to be

perfect as long as it's holding it.

Okay, so make sure that it fits, this is something that basically can enable or disable passage

mode, so you put it on, make sure you hear that click which means that the enable and

disable passage mode is working with this lock.

You put the two screws that is also provided of course, one on the top, one on the bottom,

just screw it in.

Believe it or not we're almost done with the installation, also before you really tightened

the screws, make sure it's straight with the door, both sides of course, so it doesn't

look bad and then tighten the screws.

All right, okay guys we're done here, let's move to the program.

Programming: Remember the yellow sticker with the programming code on it and right underneath

you've got two user codes that are provided with the lock.

What we're going to do is, we're going to delete old user code and we're going to start

with our own.

So what you have to do is to put the programming code first and then hit the "SCHLAGE" button and

the keypad turn blue.

You're going to hit number 6, that's the function to delete all user code and you're

going to put the programming code again.

When the "SCHLAGE" button turns green and you hear a long beep, that means that it was successful

program to the lock and the code that's provided with the lock are not good anymore.

Now we're going to put our own code, so what you're going to do is you're going to put

the programming code first as I said, then hit the "SCHLAGE" button.

The programming to had new user code is going to be number 1, so we're going to hit the

1, now you're going to put your own code.

I'm going to try just for now and we have to put it again, and green and successfully

program, let's try it out.

All right that's it guys, wait, it's got a relay time like 4 or 3 seconds and

that's it.

Now, if you want to enable passage mode, you just have to twist the thumbturn on the inside

and the lock's function as passage lock, that's it.

Luckily I don't have to film anything else today. So it doesn't really matter that my voice isn't too good right now.

Tomorrow I'll be filming at a street art event for Schilders.TV, I'm very curious.

I'm going to the office now to take some pictures for Schilders.TV. I'm excited.

It's an hour drive. Weekend's going to be awesome by the way. I'm gonna go now, else I'll be late.

Hey, just got home. The plan was to go for a workout but I'm really not feeling well.

It's also already 14:30 and I still got a lot of work to do.

The Orange Box Finally Uncensored In Germany | CG News - Duration: 3:06.

For many years, Valve censoring games for the German region was very common.

Back in the 90s and for most of the 2000s, the German government had a much stricter

attitude towards games than they do today.

This led to 1998's Half Life being slapped on Germany's "List Of Media Harmful To Young

People", which led to a heavily censored version being made for the German market.

The German version had changes such as no longer being able to kill NPCs, instead, they

simply sit down and shake their heads.

Human enemies were also changed to robots, most blood was removed, plus other changes.

It seems that, due to this, Valve decided to take more precautions with their German

releases and would self censor a number of their games when releasing them in Germany.

This led to all games contained in 2007's The Orange Box being toned down in Germany.

The critical acclaimed The Orange Box contained 3 brand new games in the same package, these

being Half Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.

It also included Half Life 2, as well as the first stand alone expansion, Episode 1.

The German versions had various changes, and you can check out the link in the description

to the German website Schnittberichte for a full comparison of the edits.

Changes include changing the colour of all blood from red to grey in the Half Life games,

as well as in Portal.

Replacing all blood spurts with metallic sparks in Team Fortress 2.

Plus removing the gib effects in Team Fortress 2 and, instead, replacing the gore with things

like hamburgers, rubber ducks and alarm clocks.

German gamers have longed to be able to purchase uncensored versions of these titles from the

Steam store and it is now finally possible.

As reported recently by the German website ForUncut, The Orange Box has had its Steam

package updated to remove the "low violence" tag for German customers.

Whilst this currently only applies to people buying the game who do not already own a copy,

users have been told by Steam support that they are currently working on a way to remove

the restrictions for pre-existing copies.

That's not all though, ForUncut has now followed this news up with even more Valve games being

uncensored in Germany - this time, Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Team Fortress

Classic and Half-Life 1: Source.

Like The Orange Box titles, currently this only applies to new purchases but updates

should be expected soon for those who already own the games.

It's a possibility that all of these games being uncensored recently is in relation to

the original Half Life being removed from Germay's List Of Media Harmful To Young People

earlier in the year, meaning Half Life was then updated and uncensored 19 years following

its release.

Modern day Germany is also much less strict when it comes to video game violence and these

games are also very graphically dated now.

Mortal Kombat X, for instance, was released in the country with no issues, fully uncensored.

This is definitely great new for everybody in Germany though and especially considering

the iconic nature of the games that we're talking about.

The Six Habits of Successful Language Learners --IYE (ep #21) - Duration: 4:12.

What's the difference between successful language learners and those who are not?

What are some habits of truly good language learners?

That's what we will be talking about in today's video.

I was reading the famous book: the Seven Habits of Highly [Effective] People.

And it inspired me to make this video and ask the following question: what are the habits

of successful language learners?

So I sat down, opened a word document and thought really hard, and I came up with six

habits that I am going to share with you in today's video.

With a bonus at the end.

Habit #1, successful language learners like the language and want to learn it.

You have about 7000 spoken languages around the globe and my question to you is: why on

earth did you decide to learn this particular language?

Why English?

It's either because you like the language or you need it.

In both cases, that's good enough.

There has to be a clear and definite motivation.

Successful Language Learners WANT to learn the language, they are passionate, and they

know it's worth it.

This is why the first chapter in English-On is "Why English?"

The second habit is about confidence.

They are confident.

If you are not 100% sure that you can learn the language that you are working on, you're

better off working on something else.

Self-confidence plays an important role in language learning.

And as Henry Ford puts it "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't--you're right."

It's all a question of mindset.

But I will tell you this, you can actually learn English.

And I talked about this in my last video on the brain.

Successful Language Learners are not just 100% sure, they are 110% sure.

Whatever that meas. n The third habit: hard work.

They develop the habit of working hard.

Talking from my experience with both English and French I can tell that you need to put

in thousands of hours to master a new language.

Yes, I said thousands of hours not hundreds of hours.

To do that, you need to work hard.

And that's exactly what successful language learners do.

Habit #4: They Favor Listening.

Whenever we are talking about language learning, we end up facing 2 input activities and 2

output activities.

On the one hand you have reading and Listening, that's input.

On the other hand you have speaking and writing.

That's output.

Successful Language Learners spend most of their time taking in and processing the new

language.

This is where hard work becomes important.

You might ask: why exactly listening?

Well to get the answer, I invite you to read the 4th chapter of my book which is on listening.

#5 They are curious.

The famous philosopher Wittgenstein said "the limits of my language are the limits of my

world."

When you decide to learn a new language, you are opening a door to a new culture, a new

way of thinking, a new world in short.

This is evident for a language like English.

You get access to history, to poetry, and even better to science: internet of things,

artificial intelligence, neuroscience, you name it.

And this is why it helps to be curious.

And successful language learners are curious.

Habit #6: they think Long-term.

The habit of thinking long-term is really important.

Successful Language Learners don't buy the myth that you can master a language in six

months.

They know that language learning is a lifelong journey and they enjoy the process of learning.

The bonus habit, which is somewhat linked to the previous one is: They Never Stop.

As the famous French expression goes, "l'apetit vient en mangeant."

Which roughly translates to "the appetite groes and increases as you eat."

It's the same thing with language learning: the more you learn, the more you want to learn

and it goes on from there.
