Getting Accessible Gifts? | #SpinaBifida - Duration: 1:08.
Hey everyone welcome to #SpinaBifida
(pop)
So the holidays are coming up and you wanna buy your
disabled friend or family a gift.
And I have one tip for you if you're going to do that.
Ask your disabled friend or family what's accessible to them.
Ask what they need, ask what they want.
They may not even want an accessible gift
they may want something from their favorite fandom.
If you're really set on getting them something accessible,
ask them what their accessibility needs are.
That's honestly the best tip for buying a disabled person a gift.
Because remember what might work for one disabled person
might not work for the other.
Ask them what they would like or ask them
what in the general realm of things would they like
that's accessible.
You don't have to spoil anything with them on
getting them a surprise gift.
But you should check up what is accessible to them.
Accessibility changes because disability is very fluid.
And to have a really successful gift,
you need to communicate with your disabled friend or family.
That's honestly my biggest tip for you if you're going to buy them a gift.
And that's all I have for #SpinaBifida.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season
whatever you celebrate.
And I will see all of you very soon.
Goodbye.

No, I think I'll stay in tonight Skip the conversations and the "Oh, I'm fine"s
No, I'm no stranger to surprise This paper town has let me down too many times
Why do I even try?
Give me a reason why I thought that I could trust you, never mind
Why all the switching sides?
Where do I draw the line?
I guess I'm too naive to read the signs
I'm just lookin' for some real friends All they ever do is let me down
Every time I let somebody in Then I find out what they're all about
I'm just lookin' for some real friends Wonder where they're all hidin' out
I'm just lookin' for some real friends Gotta get up out of this town
I stay up, talkin' to the moon Been feelin' so alone in every crowded room
Can't help but feel like something's wrong, yeah
'Cause the place I'm livin' in just doesn't feel like home
I'm just lookin' for some real friends All they ever do is let me down
Every time I let somebody in Then I find out what they're all about
I'm just lookin' for some real friends Wonder where they're all hidin' out
I'm just lookin' for some real friends Gotta get up out of this town
Lookin' for some real friends
Oh, ohhh
Ohhh, ah
I just wanna talk about nothin' With somebody that means something
Spell the names of all our dreams and demons For the times that I don't understand
Tell me what's the point of a moon like this When I'm alone again
Can I run away to somewhere beautiful Where nobody knows my name?
I'm just lookin' for some real friends All they ever do is let me down
And I let somebody in But I find out what they're all about
I'm just lookin' for some real friends All they ever do is let me down
I'm just lookin' for some real friends Gotta get up out of this town, yeah

Introduction to the Cyber & Privacy Working Group - Duration: 1:32.
Hi, my name is Matthew Heiman.
I'm the Chair of the Cyber & Privacy group, which is part of
the Regulatory Transparency Project at the Federalist Society.
Our group is focused on regulations as they may impact the innovation economy.
When I say, "the innovation economy," I'm talking about the Internet, the development
from the Internet, and all the industries that have sprung up from the Internet.
One need only think about Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Uber, and many other companies
that are changing the way we work and live.
They're generated tremendous amounts of jobs, economic wealth,
and strength for the United States of America.
As we think about these innovative platforms for doing business, it's critical that the
regulations that affect them, or the regulations that may affect them,
be tailored appropriately for those innovative platforms.
The risk is that we cut off the growth, the benefits, and the jobs
that we've seen from this innovation economy.
I would invite you to come look at our work at RegProject.org.

The Punisher #218 Review - Duration: 3:06.
Written by Matthew Rosenberg Penciled by Guiu Vilanova
In Brooklyn, two interested parties meet to discuss the purchase and sale of some weapons
when Frank starts silently assassinating them.
They roll out some crates from a storage container and inside find the head of one of their goons
with a grenade it his mouth.
It explodes, and the Punisher emerges with guns blazing.
He continues his rampage, killing them each and amazing them that it's only one man.
Eventually they think he might be down and they begin transferring what few guns they
have left to a smaller boat.
They don't get far though as Frank triggers a bomb aboard, and he walks back to his band
as the tanker sinks in the background.
When he opens the door, former SHIELD director Nick Fury awaits, inviting the Punisher to
his favorite dim sum restaurant.
He reluctantly accepts, and when they finally sit down Fury explains he has a job offer
for him.
An offer Frank immediately refuses before Fury can show him the details.
The Republic of Chernaya has fallen into chaos, executing children as part of the grudges
rival clans have with one another.
General Armand Petrov heads the most destructive of the two.
Worse yet, former SHIELD assets are now part of his militia.
He proposes Frank steal back on of SHIELD's old weapons, further insulting them as former
Marine and Army guys, from the Air Force.
But there's two rules: one is no killing during the smash and grab.
Frank penetrates the defenses and smiles when he see the weapon.
The Air Force guards continue to try and stop him but eyes glow through the smoke.
There he stands in Col Rhodes' familiar armor as War Machine.
Rule number 2 is to give it back to Fury after the mission.
As he blasts off, that particular rule looks like it's gonna be a little hard to follow.
What happens next through will have to wait, as this issue is left to be continued.
I followed this series a pretty good bit for it's first year but eventually got fed up
with Becky Cloonan's writing.
She didn't seem to have any interest developing the character.
Just extremely simple stories that was basically just bad gore.
The art was also poor to me and couldn't keep my interest whatsoever.
It was pointed out to me that with Marvel Legacy, they switched creative teams... and
I couldn't be happier.
This issue started off Cloonan like, but by the middle and end have proven that it's anything
like it was.
The Punisher.
With War Machine Armor?!
Where has this story been all those years?
I can't wait to see where this goes..
I give this one a 9/10.

Mayflower docks at Plymouth Rock - 12/18/1620 - Duration: 1:01.
Today in military history 1620,
pilgrims aboard the Mayflower
make their berth at Plymouth Rock.
The pilgrims were a group of Puritans
from Nottinghamshire, England
who founded their own church in 1606,
apart from the Church of England,
which was an act akin to treason.
They were exiled to the Netherlands,
where they struggled to establish themselves.
Finally, on September 16, 1620,
102 passengers set out on the Mayflower for the New World.
On November 11, they arrived
in modern-day Provincetown Harbor, Cape Cod,
but they spent the next months sending scouts
ashore to find a place to build settlement.
After some searching and weathering out storms,
they finally docked at Plymouth.
Their first winter was wrought with sickness and hunger.
By spring, nearly half of their party had died.
They signed a peace treaty
with the local Native American tribe, the Wampanoag,
and with their help, the pilgrims learned
how to feed themselves and survive.
In April 1621, the ship and her crew set sail
for a return trip to England
while the colonists became part
of the Puritan Massachusetts Bay Colony.

My Year in Planners - Duration: 12:36.
Hi everyone. I'm rincey and this is rincey reads. So today obviously I'm doing
a little bit of a different video. I was actually planning on doing sort of like
a planner type video. For the past two vlogmases that I've done vlogmas, I've
done bullet journal related videos and a lot of you guys like love them. Like a
lot of you said that it's the first time that you had heard of bullet journaling
and since you saw those videos you try bullet journaling yourself and you
find it to be really really good for you guys in terms of organization. I'll have
links up in the cards, whichever side the cards are on, to my two bullet journaling
videos. So if you have no idea what I'm talking about, definitely go check
those out. Bullet journaling is still like the most I think organized way for
me personally, or at least that I found, to deal with tasks and everyday things.
But this year has been really, really different for me. As many of you know,
I started a new job in April of this year. And basically since that point I feel
like my life has been kind of all over the place/a mess. I've spent the
last like what is it six months, eight months trying to figure out like new
organization systems for me because my old methods weren't really working for
the way that my new job works. So I thought I would just kind of talk
through my year of planners and different planning methods and just
talking about where I'm at now. The reason why it's not a typical like walk
through my current planner is because I still feel like I don't have a great
system down. Like I'm still working at it but I kind of just wanted to share with
you guys what I'm currently doing. And then also like if you have suggestions
for me, I will happily take them. But part of it is just like figuring out what is
working for me, what I need from a planner. I feel like I'm still figuring
all of that stuff out. So this is my old bullet journal that I was using. It's the
one that was featured in my last bullet journal video. I used this one basically
through June of this year. And that was about the time I realized it just wasn't
using it the way that I used to and I needed different things from it and all
this different stuff. Like if you a look, this is the second to last page that
I have filled in and it's April 24th 25th. And then the next entry that I have
is Monday, June 19th. So that tells you how good I was doing with bullet
journaling. And look at how blank these pages are. Like this looks completely
different and so empty and clearly shows that I wasn't utilizing my bullet
journal very well. So then I started looking into different things that I
needed. And so what I was finding is that I was having a hard time with the whole
making the planner myself situation. Like I just didn't have time for it or didn't
have the energy for it. Like the one of the things I love about bullet
journaling is that it's completely customizable, you make the journal and
planner whatever you need it to be. But what I needed was for someone else to
basically make it for me. So I started looking into different ready-made
planners to figure out the best solution for me. I knew I wanted something that
provided hours in the day because one of my big things right now is that I
just have a lot of stuff scheduled on a day-to-day basis. And so I needed sort of
that hourly planner situation as well as tasks. So let me show you sort of what
I've moved on to and through over the past couple of months. So the next thing
I moved to was the day designer. And I think I made a day designer video last
year as well. And that was for like the daily one, which I didn't end up liking
because there was just so much space taken up for each day. I felt like I
wasn't utilizing it very well. Like it felt like the days were very wasteful.
There were so much stuff I didn't end up using and it was so thick because it was
a daily planner. So I looked at their weekly planners and I actually really
liked their weekly because it provided weekly time stamps. And let me show you
what these things look like on the inside. But this is what the day designer
that I got looks like on the outside and I really liked it for the most part. Okay
so this is what a monthly spread looks like. So I like, the boxes are
pretty big. They're lined. For people like me who don't know how to write straight,
it's really helpful. You have notes and to do here as well as the last month and
the next month. And then I would rip out the pages in here to make my planner
thinner after I was done using them. So I'm gonna just flip to you the last
page that I used. And let me take off the sticky note. A couple of things that I liked:
I like that they had a top three at the top. So it gave me a way to figure
out what I wanted to focus on for that day. And sometimes I would like fill
these out in advance. So I knew like Tuesday's were press day so I put that
ahead of time and I knew that I would have to
work on certain book riot things on certain days and stuff like that. So I'd
sometimes fill that out. I like the hours on here like it went from 6 a.m. but it
ended at 7 p.m. which I do not understand. Then they have a tonight section,
which again I don't understand why planners end at 7 p.m. because
definitely have things that are happening after 7 p.m.
Especially someone like me who like works until 9:00 sometimes. Like I wanted
those evening hours. So I would put in the tonight stuff and it would usually
be whatever my like to do was for that day. So here if you can read it it says
like Wednesday BR info, thumb like all that stuff. So it was like me working
on the Wednesday book riot video, and things like that. And so I would put
what I needed, tasks I needed to do that night. I didn't like that my Saturdays and
Sundays were just like this tiny section because sometimes for my weekends are
actually busier than my weekdays because I'm trying to accomplish all the tasks
that I don't have time for during the week. I wasn't crazy about the fact that
these were hourly. I like prefer like half hours. You don't sometimes utilize
the whole hour and so I would sometimes do this where I would like write on half.
This is like super cramped though as you're trying to write like half hours
stuff in. So yeah, I realized that I liked this, I didn't love it. And I also didn't
love the fact that there wasn't really a place to put a week overview of tasks I
wanted to accomplish. So I realized that it was time for me to move on to
something else and that something else was the passion planner. Okay so this is
my passion planner. I'm not going to do like a full passion planner walkthrough
because there are plenty of people on YouTube who do that. So you can
definitely look up one of those and they'll show you like a page-by-page
break down of like what the passion planner has to offer. One of the things I
really like about passion planner is that they actually give out PDFs for free.
So you, I think it's like you have to share something a link or something
about the passion planner on your social media and then they'll give you the PDFs
for free I believe is how it works. They've changed it over the year so I'm
not completely sure anymore. And then if you buy a passion planner you get all
the PDFs for free. So you can actually play with different organizational
styles and see how the passion planner works for you before you actually get it
yourself and start implementing it. So if you are a really crazy organized person
like I am then to appreciate the fact that you can practice and they have like
practice pages so you can figure out what method and style you want to
utilize in your new passion planner. So I've actually kept some of
the printouts so that way I could show you guys sort of my own process in
figuring things out. I basically took the exact same week and then just like
rewrote it over and over again to see like which a version I like better. This
is a version where I wrote it in pen and then I would try like squaring it in the
color in a specific highlighter and this is like obviously highlighting the whole
thing. This is a version where I used my colored pens -- oh sorry -- and then I would
tried like just highlighting the side. I'd see people do that. I like this but I
didn't love this version. There's this version where again I wrote in the
different colored pens and then I like squared things off but it just looked
too messy because I'm not very good at drawing straight lines. And then this is the
version that I kind of basically ended up going down to where I wrote
everything in black pen and then I would use highlighters to highlight things. And
as you can see here, I was still testing out the square thing to see if I liked it.
But this was basically the version I ended up going with is like completely
highlighting the whole thing based on like what category of thing I was doing
during that time of day. Yeah I know this sounds crazy. I realize how crazy this
sounds. Oh and I also tried it out in colored pencil to see if I liked it
better in highlighter or colored pencil. I do like how it looks in colored pencil
but I ended up just liking highlighters better. Okay so now I'm gonna take
you inside my passion planner. I'm gonna show you one of my really organized
weeks. And then I'm going to show you what my life has been like recently.
Okay so here's basically one of my slightly more organized weeks. Generally
what I do is I write in the things that I know will be happening in advance.
So like worship team practice like I know that in advanced when those things are
happening. I had like certain calls and meetings so
I knew those would be happening ahead of time, like phone calls things like that.
So I would schedule those in when I knew that they were happening. Church, like I
always know what time church is at, things like that. Down at the bottom they have
personal to-do lists and work to-do lists.
So I would use this as like more like book riot as well as some work things.
But at work we use todoist, which is like an online/phone, tablet type
app. So I basically use that as my work to-do list because I have to anyway. So I
might as well just use it for all my work things. But I do write down some
tasks here, especially if I have specific thing that I need to like schedule in or
things I just want to make sure I remember once I leave work. But yeah,
I would always just use it like this. And then this was great because it has like
the focus at the top of the day. So if there's something specific
I need to make sure I do during that day, I can write it up top. But yeah this has
basically been the best version of planning for me because a lot of my
planning these days, or a lot of my tasks these days are repeating tasks.
So I always have to work on book riot videos and I always have to make sure I
have a video up for my channel. And I always have the podcast like twice a
month. Most of what I'm trying to figure out is when I'm going to do all of those
things. I don't necessarily need to remember to do them. It's more like I
need to figure out when in the day I'm going to actually get that stuff done.
So this has been such a lifesaver for me. But, I mean, I'm going to show you like
this most recent past week and you'll see like I haven't been using it
perfectly. This is by the way what a month spread looks like which I really
like because you can have like personal and work priorities for the month, as
well as they have like people to see places to go not to-do list. You can kind
of utilize those boxes however you want and they always have blank spaces so you
can write things in however you'd like. So this is what this past week looks
like. And this is sort of how things have been going lately. Like it's been half
filled in, half not. It kind of just depends on how my days are going and
especially at work it varies so much. So sometimes I just don't even fill these
this part out, sometimes I just write random to do is over here. but these are
like my specific weekend to dos. These days weren't filled out at all because I
was traveling for work so I had no reason to need to schedule things.
And this is what this current week looks like so you get a view of like what I do
with my planner before I sort of start my day. So I always put in like church,
I have to record Read or Dead this Tuesday, I have worship team practice and then I have
a graduation party on Friday. So I put all of that stuff in. Today is Sunday
when I'm recording this. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to sort of fill
out how things have been going and sort of plan for the rest of the night. And
then, every morning, I open up my planner and I sort of like plan my day. And I'll,
when I'm planning and I don't know for sure what's going on, I'll usually
write things in pencil and then later I'll go back in erase them and fill them
out with what I actually did. And then at the end of the day, if I remember, as you
can see I don't always do this, I'll go back in and I'll highlight according to
my plan. And I kind of like highlighting it just so that way I can see how I'm
utilizing my day or how I'm not utilizing my days. It lets me see sort of
like what my priorities were that week in terms of what I actually did as
opposed to what I say my priorities are. And as you can see, like I haven't filled
out my personal and work to do is for the week. I don't know if I will. We'll
see what happens. It's been working for the most part. Like the main problem I
just have right now is just I want to do sort of like the bullet journal thing in
here which I'm kind of doing but I don't know. There's like just little things
that I need to tweak and play around with to see what works for me.
But honestly right now, what I need right now is like a time management system more
than like a todoist system. So this is why passion planner is working for me
right now. I've basically combined passion planner with like bullet
journaling ideas. So it like works well for me. But yeah, that's basically all I
have. I know that this was a little bit all over the place. Feel free to leave a
comment down below letting me know if you use a passion planner or if you're
still a bullet journaling or whatever or if you have any questions on my method.
I know I went through this relatively quickly. But like I said, everything's
been sort of up in the air and like in flux right now so I don't have like a
really hard steady sort of method that I can walk you guys through because I feel
like I'm still sort of figuring things out. So yeah, again, leave any comments or
questions that you have down below. If you have any suggestions for me, I will
happily take those like I said in the beginning. But yeah that's all I have for
now and thanks for watching.
