UN to vote on new North Korea resolution further restricting oil supply - Duration: 2:11.

The U.S. has introduced a new draft resolution at the UN Security Council… proposing further

sanctions on North Korea.

The vote on the proposal will take place later on Friday,… and China and Russia are not

expected to use their vetoes.

Kwon Jang-ho has this report.

The UN Security Council will vote Friday, local time on a new U.S.-led draft resolution

on North Korea, that has been introduced in reaction to the regime's latest ballistic

missile test in late November.

According to Reuters and AFP, the new resolution will look to ban nearly 90 percent of refined

petroleum product exports to North Korea by capping them at 500-thousand barrels a year...

building on the previous resolution in September that set a limit of 2 million barrels.

Crude oil exports to the regime have also been capped at four million barrels a year.

And all North Korean nationals working overseas would also have to be repatriated within twelve

months.

The list of banned North Korean exports would also be extended to include food products,

machinery, and electrical equipment, as well as certain stones and minerals.

19 individuals and firms would be added to a growing international blacklist as well,

freezing their financial assets and imposing a travel ban.

North Korea's closest ally, China, is not expected to use its veto, after the U.S. negotiated

the draft with Beijing over the past week.

Although it does not include a complete ban on oil, as suggested by President Trump to

President Xi Jinping last month, China's go-ahead would still be seen as a significant measure.

More-so as China has not yet approved a different proposal by the U.S.

Washington had asked the council to blacklist 10 ships, including two Hong Kong-flagged

vessels and a Chinese tugboat, which are said to be carrying banned oil and coal products

to and from North Korea.

China and Russia have requested more time to examine that proposal, and the decision

for approval to blacklist the ships will now take place on December 28th.

60 million for the first time.

DIY Italian Herb Mix / Italian Herb Blend Recipe - Duration: 4:26.

Hi this is Joliane and today I want to show you how I make my Italian herb mix

so that I have exactly the right seasonings for all my recipes so it's

going to be a very easy recipe, the first ingredient is oregano so I will be using

3/4 cups of oregano..

so that was 3/4 cups of oregano

now I will be using basil so I will be

using 1/4 cup of basil..

and I will use 1/2 cup

1/2 cup of marjoram I just love marjoram, marjoram is very

important for this herb mix so I'm going to be using two of those quarter cups

and I will also use 1/2 cup of thyme so I've been using these bottles because I buy my

herbs in bulk so I like to re-use nice jars so two quarter cups.. two 1/4 cup of thyme

so that's 1/2 cup of thyme and yes we all need more time and

finally I will be using rosemary so rosemary is a pretty strong flavor so

I'm just going to use 1/4 cup but I won't fill it up because I don't want this to be

overpowering but 1/4 cup of rosemary so as you can see I'm using rough

measurements.. because I'm using rough measurements, because it doesn't have to

be exactly exactly and you go by taste you can adjust it to your liking you can

definitely adjust this to the way that you like it so if there's an herb you

don't like don't put it if you want to add any other herbs you can add them

what's also great to add in there is hot chili flakes so you can also add cayenne

pepper but if you have kids it's better to use the hot and spicy on the side

that way you can use the same herb blend for everybody and then you add the

spiciness to specific dishes or to your plate

so there we have it all those

quarter cups of herbs, now I'm just going to blend it to blend it I'm just going

to gently mix it and that's pretty much how easy it is to do..

very very easy to do

now I will just transfer this into a jar so I can store it

so it fits perfectly into this small mason jar

there you have it, it's a

simple Italian herb mix blend and - (Italian herb mix or Italian blend) and I

love this, I add it to a lot of my recipes so if you liked this video and

One more book video than planned.

Hello, I'm Rogan and welcome to Vlogmas day 21.

I was not planning on doing another book video, because I have one more for the end of this month.

But Kathy posted a video today, and tagged me in it, so yeah, sure, why not?

And I wasn't really feeling like doing today's planned topic, so I'm doing this instead.

Also, I thought it might be a good idea to do this video before the end of the year!

Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?

Apart from the readathon--I don't know if I will succeed.

I have two and half books left, and with only…three days? left. Anyway! I do have [Mudbound] from the library.

I need to finish it before we fly out to Alaska, because this will be due while we're gone.

And we will be back on New Year's so…

Yeah, that one book, but it's not like NEED to finish.

Other than that, I have a stack of books, but none of them are ones I need to finish before the year ends.

Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?

I don't really re-read, I… I do like re-reading some books, like Harry Potter duh, but…

I do have plans to re-read some books purely because I just got the third book in a series.

And it's been a long time since I read the first and second. So I'm re-reading those, refresh my memory,

and then read the third book that I just got.

I don't really feel the need to read specific books or specific kinds of books at specific times of the year.

Just give me all the books.

Is there a new release you're still waiting for? Maybe, but I don't remember. I don't think so?

What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?

Readathon aside, Mudbound obviously and… I want to read the next books in the Lunar Chronicles series.

The first book is Cinder, I'm reading that for the readathon.

I loved it, and one of my friends texted me, "Oh!! You read it!?" Yeah?

"You want to borrow the second and third from me?" Sure! So I have the second and third book now.

That's my three books to read before the end of the year.

Really, it's not like I need/want to finish by… If I don't, that's okay.

I don't feel like I have to finish this list of books by the end of the year. If I don't, I failed my goal. I don't do that.

I just read when the mood strikes me.

Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favourite book of the year?

Maybe Mudbound, I have no idea. I don't really know the details so… Maybe that. But…

Honestly, Cinder is kind of already a favorite, so the next books probably will be favorites too. And…

Picking a top favorite? I can't do that. I can't do that to my precious babies.

Have you already started making reading plans for 2018?

No. I have a stack of books that I want to try and read first before I jump around to other books.

But not really, other than readathons that might pop up, or…

I was thinking, maybe I will do something I saw Kathy share from Book Riot.

It's their Read Harder challenge for 2018.

It's basically a list of different types of books to try to read, like for example…

[mouthing] Wow, I can't read that.

I can NOT read that, wow.

A few examples: a book about nature, a comic written or illustrated by a person of color,

a children's classic published before 19…80, is that what it says? I think so.

An Oprah Book Club selection, an one-sitting book, a sci-fi novel with a female protagonist

written by a female author. You get the idea.

So that is something I may try to do, I don't know yet. We'll see.

Mild winter solstice under mostly sunny skies - Duration: 2:04.

Good morning, today is the winter solstice, which means the shortest day and longest night,

we'll have four hours 52 minutes more darkness than daylight... but when the sun is in the

sky we'll have relatively mild temperature readings.

Seoul will have a mild high of 8 degrees Celsius.

Daegu and Gwangju will get up to 10 degrees Celsius this afternoon.

The air quality will improve in the afternoon as well.

Expect to have milder than average temperatures until Christmas Eve with rain expected tomorrow

night through Sunday,... then freezing temperatures are set to return on Christmas Day,... but

it will be sunny.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

While it's forecast to be a mild Winter Solstice in South Korea, many regions in North Korea

will see readings going up higher under plenty of sunshine.

As for the rest of Asia, Beijing, Tokyo will have a mostly sunny Friday and a similar weather

pattern will last though the Chirstmas holiday weekend.

Meanwhile, Jakarta will have a mostly sunny Christmas Day while Kuala Lumpur will have

scattered thunderstorms just like today

Heading to North America, with the busiest travel season of the year upon us, those in

Montreal should take note that harsh conditions may hit while they're travelling.

As for South America, Bogota and Lima will have similar weather pattern under a good

amount of sunshine.

If you own an iPhone then some bad news I'm afraid.

After years of head scratching and speculation as to why older models were becoming slower,

Apple has finally admitted to being the culprit.

This has not gone down well with users, with some accusing the tech giant of deliberately

slowing down older devices to push them to buy newer models.

Others have complained about the firm's lack of transparency.

But, Apple insists it's a necessary "feature" to prolong the life of aging batteries and

prevent random shut downs.

However, some users are still unconvinced and have suggested they may switch to Apple's

arch rival Samsung.
