Does it seem like everyone's kid is named Liam these days?

That's not just because you might be bad at remembering names.

After analyzing the Social Security Administration's most recent data, hitting up popular name

charts at BabyCenter, and consulting with trend expert Daniel Levine of the Avant-Guide

Institute, we're rounding up the trendiest baby names of 2017.

That "uh" sound

Emma was the most popular name for baby girls born in 2016, and that's not an anomaly — it's

something that new parents are currently obsessed with: short, feminine names that end in "a."

Other top names of last year include Ava, Mia, Ella, Olivia, Sophia, and Aria.

While names ending in the "uh" sound are all the rage for baby girls, they haven't heated

up as much for baby boys, though the name Noah fits spot-on with this trend and was

the most popular boy's name in 2016.

Another version of this name, Noa, is also now on the rise for baby girls.

All "Jack" everything

According to Behind the Name, Jack was common in the Middle Ages.

And after a major dip in the '80s, the name is on the rise once again — with a lot of

variation!

For 2016, Jack hit number 38 for boys, but don't forget about related versions, including:

Jackson, Jacob, Jaxon, Jaxson, Jax, and Jake.

For similar girl names, there are Jacqueline and Jazlyn.

These edgier versions nod toward their fairytale roots, while offering a fresh twist on the

classic.

Virtual celebrities

Trend expert Daniel Levine says,

"Celebrities have always led the baby name trend.

What is new is that we are now seeing babies named after 'virtual' celebrities: namely,

characters from Disney films and video games."

The name Annah fits both of these "virtual" trends — as Anna was the name of one of

the sisters in Frozen.

The spelling of the name with the "h" at the end makes it more unique — and is also a

character in Planescape: Torment.

Other names Levine highlighted include Kitana from Mortal Kombat, Aqua from Justice League's

Aquaman, Aeris from Final Fantasy, and Tyris from Sega's Golden Axe.

Flower power

Levine also says kids are now being named after exotic flowers.

So, if you're looking for a trendy but earthy name for your tot, hit up your local greenhouse.

One of these on-the-rise exotic flower names is Amaryllis — jumping more than 2,000 spots

in popularity between 2016 and 2017.

But it's not alone on its rise to the top.

Ivy rose 18 spots, Arabella jumped nine spots, and Annalise (the formal name for "daffodil")

is rising as well.

Hipster-esque

Looking for a name that's as hipster as they come?

How about Mason!

While we can't deny the mason jar as cultural icon, the name has actually been around for

hundreds of years.

It saw a spike in 2011 and it's been in the top ten ever since.

Other trending hipster names include cool borough Brooklyn, the musically inclined Lennon,

and — wait for it — Barley, which went from grain to human name, in 2012.

Social media influence

Social media stars are another pop culture force that influence baby name popularity.

Levine highlighted the name North as an example.

And if you haven't been "keeping up," it's the name Kim Kardashian West, who has over

100 million Instagram followers, chose for her daughter in 2013.

Another name that's hot off the internet is Kaia (Greek for "earth"), which Levine points

out is now trending for the first time ever.

If you follow fashion, you may have heard of Kaia Gerber.

Cindy Crawford's daughter is now a model in her own right, and has more than 2 million

Instagram followers.

All about the Z

Previously relegated to the likes of Zach or Zooey, Z names are now all the rage.

And they're more fun than ever.

Topping the list for both boys and girls, are Zaria, Zayden, Zane, Zion, Zyaire, Zaylee,

and Zara (— ok not the clothing store, although...maybe the clothing store?)

High-end babe

Another trendy option for the contemporary baby?

One that speaks to only the finest tastes.

Bentley was in the top 100 in 2016, and Royal rose six spots for boys and 119 spots for

girls.

Aspen jumped 11 spots, and sunglass-loving Oakley went up 34 spots for girls.

All elegant choices for the parent who prefers private jets, caviar, and paying full price

for labels.

Greek mythology

You don't have to summer in Santorini to give your baby a Greek-inspired name.

Many of the popular monikers climbing the charts come from Greek myths.

Son of Zeus, Apollo rose 167 spots from 2015 to 2016.

Adonis rose 307 spots, and Athena, the war queen, landed in the top 200 for girls.

Going forward in time is physically possible.

It uses a trick in special relativity which says that the clock that you measure is relative to

your frame.

All you have to do is move at incredibly high speeds

then you can go forward in time and meet people in the future.

Going backwards in time is the one that is hard.

And in order to go backwards in time either you have to figure out how to make

a loop in space-time or you can make what's called a naked ring

singularity in space-time.

Then going through the ring and around you can go back in time.

Vidme is Dead, Long Live Our Benevolent-ish YouTube Overlords - Duration: 7:55.

Vidme recently announced that it will shut down on the 15th of December and I

think I'm going to have a heart attack and die of not surprise. with no offense

meant to vidme but we've been here before

Vidme started in 2014 as a user-generated video site in 2015 it

raised a seed round of 3.2 million dollars in venture capital funding in

2016 it raised a further six million dollars of venture capital funding and

now it's 2017 and we're done so long and thanks for all the fish. nine

point two million dollars sounds like a lot of money and it would be if you were

a person but video sites have three big issues they need to address and they are

expensive issues. in the medium article they put up explaining their decision

the vidme team said they were closing because we couldn't find a path to

sustainability yep sounds about right.

first problem just having a video site is extremely expensive not just because

you need a lot of bandwidth so you can serve a lot of users simultaneously but

also because you need to store extremely large files and so hosting is very very

very expensive so you have to find some way of paying for that an alternative to

this would be something like bitchute which uses torrents but even if that is

viable in a technical sense you're still going to run into the next two problems

second problem YouTube has a billion visitors a month and it's still

struggling financially it has all of the big creators it has a huge audience and

yet neither of these things is a panacea new video sites start with zero

audience and zero creators. to entice an audience you need content which is going

to appeal to them which means you need creators to make that content. To entice

those creators you need to offer them something better than they're already

getting but you can't offer creators a large audience because you don't have

one and you can't offer the audience vast amounts of content because you

don't have that either not to mention the fact that you have to make people

aware of the platform in the first place and then entice them on to it

advertising is expensive and if they get to your platform and they don't see

anything they like chances are you're never gonna see them again so how do you

get people? well you could start by having a product that solves some of

YouTube's major problems: Dan Olson's video entitled Vidme and why platforms

aren't your friends has some good points as to the, you know, security issues of

YouTube and the collaboration issues that you have with YouTube and I'm not

gonna retread those here but I'll put a link to it in the doobly-do. Regardless

of which of YouTube's faults you address though you better offer something

substantially different. you almost certainly can't offer better money to

creators in YouTube unless you have seriously deep venture capital funded

pockets you definitely can't offer a bigger audience and while the path to

monetary success on YouTube for creators is now rarely just from ad revenue but

more from patreon and other fan funding sites or brand deals and sponsorships

you still need the audience that makes that viable. you still need an audience

big enough that 1% of them can give you money via patreon or an audience big

enough that a brand would actually be interested in sponsoring your video yeah?

yeah. so what's being offered right now? seems to me that the main YouTube

competitors currently are offering either monetization which probably

doesn't amount to anything substantially better than you can get on YouTube

currently or on patreon... or freedom of expression as in we won't demonetize

your videos even if you're talking about Syrian refugees or the crisis in the

Middle East or current US legislation Woo, no demonetization on a platform which

probably doesn't have a lot of advertisers

not really selling it to be honest I mean if you have been demonetised by

YouTube because you're talking about controversial things even if you're

doing so in an even-handed or interesting or intelligent way you're

not magically going to become more palatable to advertisers just because

you switched platform if someone's been banned from YouTube and they want to

make videos then they're quids in I guess but then that just means that your

platform is full of people who have been banned from YouTube and that probably

includes some very very toxic people who will bring their very very toxic

communities with them. YouTube already has this massive problem with our

comment sections being a cesspit and that's just not going to fly if you're a

new video platform looking to expand your audience you are just not going to

be able to entice great aunt Jennifer or school-aged Suzy to your platform if

everyone knows that it's just a hellhole of rape jokes and links to pornography

oh yeah and advertisers don't like small up-and-coming platforms and they don't

like controversy and they don't like not knowing who their ads are being served

to. Yeah so that's a problem

thing is ad revenue is the way that YouTube makes most of its money

it has YouTube Red yes but ad revenue is the bedrock of how YouTube sustains

itself and to do that they have to provide an absolute metric ton of

user-generated content which brands are happy to put their names next to or in

front of or at the end of there's theoretically a lot of money to be made

in online video but theoretically is not the same as actually especially if your

model is mostly or even partially reliant on advertisers as vid me will

tell you the profit margins to be made from subscriptions to a small video site

where the tiny user base are in no way reflective of the actual costs of

hosting video the reason YouTube videos are free is that Alphabet has deep pockets

and that ultimately you are the product you sitting here watching this on your

phone or laptop or tablet or whatever and even if YouTube red becomes a bigger

thing in the future it's only saleable because it has exclusive content for

subscribers and ad free access to every video on YouTube and I'm thinking

YouTube red is going to become a major source of revenue from YouTube for

creators once they actually manage to roll it out to more countries I mean

simply because ad rates have not really taken off on YouTube and every time

there's a crisis like the adpocalypse ad buyers use that to negotiate prices

down and that impacts on YouTube's bottom line and it impacts on the bottom

line of creators which is why most full-time youtubers don't rely solely on

ad revenue and also sell products or have a patreon or do brand deals and

sponsorships so there you have it YouTube and Facebook have the money to

host a lot of video and so can afford to host everything from the sublime to the

ridiculous thus giving their viewers vast amounts of choice YouTube and

Facebook are where the audiences are and so as a creator if you want to get money

from ad revenue or you want to get money from fan funding or you want to get

money from brand deals you still need an audience and so that's where you gotta

go and the big video sites are the places where millions of person hours of

work have gone into algorithms and machine learning and all that jazz to

make sure that your ads go on videos that you would like them to which target

the kind of audience that you want to have new video sites will find it almost

impossible to compete with YouTube unless they are A) attached to a much

larger company with very deep pockets looking at you

Facebook and Amazon or B) the video site in question is offering something

substantially better than that which is offered by YouTube and not only that but

provide a far superior product which is also financially viable. and to the best

of my knowledge no one's done that yet so vidme is going the way of blip

of vine, of Revver, and no one but no one is really very surprised who knows

though maybe someday a plucky upstart company will do something really really

different to not get screwed over or bought out. but I gotta tell you I'm not

holding my breath thanks for watching if you would like to support this channel

We don't see that very often.

We see lots of heart failure patients.

Heart failure patients often have very large hearts.

They're weak.

You're going to feel pretty lousy.

You're going to be short of breath.

You're not going to be handing out lots of presents and you know being cheerful.

So that part didn't really fit so much.

[jingle bells] You could have like suddenly a rupture of

a valve but even if he had that

even if this valve suddenly popped and the heart gets very big you don't feel good when

that happens.

[jingle bells] A python -- these are large snakes--

their hearts which are normally small get really large.

and they get really large to help them digest food, a rather big meal.

I think we're on to something.

The Grinch he's a snakey like guy.

I actually think he's a python.

That would be my guess.

It is said that the eyes are the window to our souls.

It is said that the truth cannot be hidden within the depths of our eyes.

For our eyes show our truth.

It is here today that I share with you the importance of the power within you.

The power of your eyes.

For they ARE the window to your soul.

The absolute magnificent being that you are.

The light that comes from the depths within that shines out through your eyes can heal.

You see, it is through your eyes that you are able to heal self.

It is through your eyes that you can connect with the very essence of all that you are.

Heal all the pain that you felt has held you back.

When was the last time you sat and looked deeply into your eyes?

Can you sit and look into your eyes and feel what you are feeling?

Very precious it is to take time to look deep within us.

Deep into our soul and see who we truly are.

Our life, our soul, holds our light.

Our eyes shine that light out.

You see, we are own messengers.

We are our own healers.

We are our own answers.

We just need to take the time to seek within ourselves.

And one great way to connect to your soul, the truth of your soul, is to look into your

own eyes.

Have you ever looked into the eyes of a loved one?

Do you see how powerful it can be?

As I was growing up, it was very difficult for me to look into the eyes of people.

I know now it was not time for me to look into the soul of all I came across, I was

being guided and protected, for I know, it is through my eyes that healing occurs.

I am now still, very discerning with how I connect with other people.

For it is important to know your energy, yourself and all that you are so you are able to lead

your life with strength and love.

To not give your power to others, as it is here that our power can be shed.

Not from others taking but from giving too much.

It is here at this time where we must know ourselves first.

For it is not your job to connect with every soul and heal them.

For we do not heal another anyway.

What we do is awaken something within them to connect them to their own innate knowingness,

their own abilities and magnificence.

We connect them to their own wholeness by waking them up to it.

They see it within us.

It is a type of recognition.

�I see you� from the film Avatar was a beautiful way to say I recognize you, I see

me in you, I see your truth.

I know your light.

I see your light.

For it too, is the light that I am.

It took much time for me to develop the ability to look into the soul of another through their

eyes and feel comfortable.

My mum was my greatest teacher with this one.

My relationship with my mum was a very close one.

I feel we were soul mates that had many things to reawaken within each other.

It was very difficult for me to look into the eyes of my mother.

I loved her dearly but knew her pain, and was too afraid to look into her eyes.

I did not want to feel that.

As I write this now, I realize that it may have helped her.

To connect to her soul in this way, to shed light into her heart through our eyes.

A comfort for us both.

A recognition of lives past, lost and loved together.

Although she is not here on the planet now, I know she comes and sits with me, loves me

and guides my steps with love.

My message here is to connect to self through your eyes.

Your eyes are the windows to the soul YOUR SOUL.

Your eyes have the power to heal you, to clear old ways of thinking.

To confront you with all that you do not wish to see, to bring it to light to clear and

let go.

To become whole.

There will come a time when we will all be connecting with each other deeply through

the eyes.

Many of us are light workers and many of us are also transducers of light, which transmute

light energies through our eyes to another.

There are many that have walked our earth, using the power through the eyes for healing,

love and goodness.

There are many that have used it for opposite affects also, but this will no longer hold

steed in our world as it is far too dense, and they will be outed.

For we do not accept this type of lie any longer.

Those who work with light through their eyes, the Transducers, are basically filled with

lots of light!

Their light content is very high, therefore they are able to emanate light for others

directly through their eyes.

There is a time now where we still must be discerning with who and how we connect with

others.

Know that you are a powerful being, also know that you are still in process of transcending

light, space and time.

The transduction of light is the way of health, healing and wholeness.

This must first be refined and known completely within self before it is shared with others.

You are light.

Therefore you will shine light for others, to others.

I say too, if you have connected with this piece you may transduct light for the benefit

of others.

This may be a gift that you can reawaken if you wish.

First know how to look within self through your windows with love, compassion and kindness.

We are still living in very interesting times.

It is still a time of discernment, understanding and newness on our planet.

A new way of being.

I ask that you continue to seek self, continue to look within, continue to evolve you.

For your only mission on this planet is to love and accept all that you are.

To really know who you are.

To evolve and grow you.

For all that you do for self you do for all.

May you go in peace and with love in your heart.

We cannot hide from the light of our soul that shines out through our eyes.

For you have the power.

Bloopers That Make Us Love Chris Pratt Even More - Duration: 4:42.

It was only a matter of time before Chris Pratt became an A-list movie star.

He's now at the center of multiple franchises — he's Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy,

Owen in Jurassic World, and Emmett in The Lego Movie.

But Pratt slowly built up his career with regular roles on TV and supporting roles in

big-screen productions before earning his spot on the top.

Throughout it all, Pratt has proven to be a charming, entertaining, and most of all,

hilarious guy.

Here are some times that the camera captured him on movie and TV sets goofing off, screwing

up, and ad-libbing.

The O.C.

One of Pratt's earliest roles was playing Ché on Fox's teen soap The O.C..

And while the part mostly required him to act like a burnout, he did seem to have a

lot of fun with it … until he had to eat on-camera, that is.

In one scene, he was supposed to be giving sage advice to Seth Cohen while eating a bowl

of figs.

And it probably would've gone off without a hitch if Pratt hadn't grabbed a spoiled

piece of fruit.

"I'm sorry.

This one's a bad one."

What's Your Number?

Wearing a fat suit might hinder some actors' ability to bust a move, but that wasn't the

case for Chris Pratt.

In What's Your Number?, Pratt had to bulk up a bit, but he still managed to bust out

some impressively accurate Michael Jackson dance moves that were totally uninhibited

by the extra poundage.

He should put that on his resume.

Parks and Recreation

Pratt didn't come out of nowhere to become the biggest action hero working today.

Before he started saving the world, he was best known for his supporting role in NBC

comedy Parks and Recreation.

But the inklings of a hero were still present in his role as the dumb but eager man-child

Andy Dwyer.

In this outtake, Pratt rapidly hurdled over a counter and then ditched a briefcase his

character didn't need to steal by throwing it back from where he got it.

Amazingly, the case nailed a light switch — and left the actors in the dark.

"F------ hilarious."

"That's not something that props can fix.

Sorry.

I'm out."

Delivery Man

Even though Chris Pratt was on the cusp of mega success when he starred in this 2013

comedy, he was still pretty hungry.

At least, that's all we can assume from watching this outtake of him chasing a wad of cash

from blowing away in the wind.

"Why not is that too real?

Is that too real?"

Jurassic World

Pratt's character, Owen, can do a lot of things.

He can ride a motorcycle, he can tame velociraptors, and he can even make the T-Rex look like a

good guy.

But acting out one of Owen's talents in particular gave Chris Pratt some trouble on the set.

While his character was capable of doing crazy things, Pratt had a lot of trouble whistling

— and the behind-the-scenes footage of his repeated failed efforts made for some great

B-roll.

"I'll get it."

Guardians of the Galaxy

Flying a spaceship is fun, and it would seem that even pretending to fly a spaceship is

also a thrill, because on the set of Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt got a little carried

away behind the controls of the mighty Milano.

The filmmakers probably only really needed a second or two of Star-Lord looking excited,

but Pratt got downright maniacal with his unbridled glee.

"Hahaha!"

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The Guardians returned for some more outer space adventures in Guardians of the Galaxy

Vol. 2, but they weren't alone.

A few new characters came along, including an ageless Celestial named Ego, who was also

Star-Lord's father, played by Kurt Russell.

Because the movie was set on several distant planets, gravity wasn't always a given.

So to replicate that, the actors had to endure a lot of "wire work."

And in this outtake from the movie, Pratt and Russell had a hard time getting the "hang"

of things.

"I think we got it."

The film also presented another all-star blooper when we were introduced to the High Priestess

of the Sovereigns.

She tried to chat up the Star-Lord about breeding techniques, and she got this as an explanation

of how earthlings do it:

"I personally control half the DNA by doing something I call doinking."

Passengers

For a large portion his other space movie Passengers, Chris Pratt wandered around a

gigantic ship almost entirely by himself.

His only "human" interaction was with an android bartender named Arthur, played by Michael

Sheen.

Arthur provided drinks and a little bit of companionship…and since there wasn't much

else to do, Pratt's character was a patron of the pub quite often.

In this outtake, Pratt got a chance to do some "drunk acting," and he comically over-reacted

to Arthur's boozy blue concoction...

"There's coconut in it?"

It's amazing none of these moments made into the movies, really.
