Waching daily Dec 9 2017

Then that means the Elder Crossing is upon us again...

Quite a sight.

Just wait till we're finished!

Soon, I hope?

The Second Fleet always delivers.

It's up to you to stop it. This whole operation rides on how well you do that.

We can do this.

It's an ecological marvel.

One that easily dwarfs any I have ever seen.

Though we have learned much, what we have are mere facts,

and not a single clue to what truth they add up to.

Use everything at your disposal!

I want eyes everywhere! Fight hard and stay smart!

Don't stop! Keep going!

We can't leave her!

If you too feel so compelled, then we will cross paths again

...at the end of all of this.

What have we here...

Israelis: Should Jerusalem become an International city? - Duration: 10:22.

People outside think that Jerusalem

the old city needs to be an international city

under the control of the UN for example

Vardit Jerusalem

What do you think of that?

No way - No way?

No way

(Jerusalem) was given to the nation of Israel, it belongs to the Jews

always was and always will be

Even the Palestinian areas?

Why would you care about the Palestinian areas (of the old city)?

It's not that I care but they are our areas

they have to be under Israeli control

Why? Give an explanation

First of all because of the security situation

That is number one

Secondly...

Wait, why can't the UN give security?

They haven't proven themselves (to be able to)

Some say the old city of Jerusalem needs to be an international city

under international administration

What do you think of that?

Kochi Beer Sheva

In my view, it is right

I would (agree), yes

There is something...

It is impossible to deny that

Palestinians live there

and today, the situation where

it is scary to walk around the old city is not a good situation

and true, it is in our control

but in reality, we are less and less...

Wait, who is afraid to walk around the old city? - I am

As an Israeli

Because Palestinians can stab you? - Yes

The situation is...

I remember 30 years ago it was

a different feeling there

We walked around the old city without fear, but today

it is not like that

So you are saying that the Israeli security seems not have worked so well

There is no feelling of being safe there

So maybe international forces could create security?

Maybe, if the tension there would

if the tension there would go down

maybe with an agreement for it (internationalizing the city)

I don't cling to

the idea that it has to be ours

On the question whether to turn the old city

into an international city

Daniel Nahariya

No - Why not?

We need to keep it as it is

Why is that a good?

It is important to all the religions

For the Muslims, their part of the city is important for them

leave it until we can reconquer it

and build the Temple

That is what you think?

What about the Muslims that don't agree with that?

The majority...

Negotiate

What? - Negotiate

Negotiate for what?

that it stays ours?

That is not negotiations

You are getting me in trouble

That is the idea

Think a little

It can't be an international city it must stay as it is, that's it

and don't let any foreigners in

Foreigners should come in

What is wrong with foreigners?

That they control here, no way

Why is everyone against this idea

or many are against this

We are Israelis, it is our capital city

it shouldn't be changed

to an international city

Do the British want to turn London into an international city?

Liza Haifa

What do you think of the idea to make Jerusalem an international city?

The old city

It won't be successful - Why not?

Because I don't think it will work

What could happen? What....

What could be bad with the idea?

I simply think there is no one to speak to (on the Palestinian side)

so it won't work

What do you think of turning the old city into an international city?

Orna Kadima

I am against it - Why?

Because it is a Jewish city

But why would you care about...

It is now very international

It is now very international

All of the religions are there

There is no reason to replace the owners

Let's say that only the UN soldiers are there but it is still under Israeli control

You are going into political areas

What? You think it won't work politically?

No, you are going into political areas

I think that the status quo we have now is fine

Even though, half the city, Palestinians

don't agree

Yes, even though

Should Jerusalem be an international city?

Eyal and Hava Ramat Gan

meaning the UN would be responsible for the old city

No, for sure no - absolutely not

Why? People outside don't understand why

Jerusalem is our capital

We can live in peace with Jews and Arabs

We have a country where all colours and types live together

and it is a great pleasure

and Jerusalem is our capital city

like in every other country

you have a capital city

and someone comes and tells you "no, I want to give your capital to the Arabs"

Does that make sense to you?

But half the city is Arab Palestinians - So what?

They say it is also their capital

So you see, we live already together with them in peace

here and there we have (fights)

but other than that, it's fine

I just want to add that history has proven

that under Muslim and Christian control

there was never freedom for all religions

including for Jews

But under Israeli control, under Israel

there is freedom of speech for all religions - without a doubt, true

That's what is happening today and it is proof

So your worried that under UN control

that it will be impossible for Jews to...

Yes, we can't know

We don't know who will control the UN what kind of views they have

tomorrow they will declare that only 20% Jews can....

We don't know

It is now under our control

we fought to get to this country

we fought to get that city (Jerusalem)

and it is our heritage even for the coming generations

We are a dot on the map

and everyone wants this dot

There are other countries in the world not just us

Bar Gavim

You knew what to ask me, huh?

The mind says we need to but

I am really sentimental for Jerusalem

I don't think that an international city run by an international government

as I see in the UN

is going to take care of the Jewish people

It's not going to take care of the Jewish people and Israel

It's not going to take care of

maybe also the Christians

because it is run by foreign interests

and Israel knows how to make Jerusalem

the old city as one who lived there for one year

You used to live there?

Not in the old city but I really love the old city

I travelled everywhere I can in the old city

also in the Muslim quarter

Israel knows how to take care of

knows how to make autonomy for all the religions

inside the religious places

the sacred places

You can see in the Jesus tomb

as you see in a lot of mosques... - Here in Nazareth

No, the tomb of Jesus

the Jewish quarter

The Church of the Holy Sepulcher

I know only the name in Hebrew

I knew, one time I travelled there

I met a police officer that

he really described everything

Israel's tolerance for all the religions

inside the old city

You don't think an international body will be tolerant?

towards Jews and Christians?

I don't think it will be tolerant because as you see now

I see in the UN

a lot of suffering in Syria

in a lot of countries in Africa

and in Arab countries

and everybody is talking about Israel all the time

and everybody says that Israel doesn't care about the Arab people

and it's not true

Also I am a right wing person

I say that to you because I live near Gaza

and we have a lot of workers from Gaza

people say

What people think about us

and what the UN says

it's mixed a lot with the foreign interests

and an international capital won't be able to do anything

because it will have foreign interests

#VLOG15 - QUEL MATÉRIEL POUR FILMER NOS VLOGS ? - Duration: 12:22.

Hi everyone! We are in Arches National Park.

In this vlog we wanted to answer the question

which has been asked so much

and which is

the material we use to produce our vlogs.

That means I'll have to speak a lot in front of the camera

and I hate it.

So you'll have to be indulgent with me.

All the images from above that you can see are filmed with a drone.

We thought that was the perfect moment to shoot this video

because we just bought a new drone which is the DJI Mavic Pro.

This morning was my first flight so let's hope the footage is good.

But we'll see that later.

Before this one we had the DJI Phantom 4.

It's a great drone but we have an issue with the remote control.

We'll have to send it to the DJI customer service.

It can take a few weeks so it's not possible for us to wait that long.

Now we have the DJI Mavic Pro.

It's pretty amazing because when you fold it

like this

you can hold it in your hand easily.

It's quite impressive as you can see.

So here is the drone with the same image quality than the Phantom 4.

When you put it in its bag

it takes that much space.

That means I can put it in my camera bag.

That was not the case with DJI Phantom 4.

It will change our way of filming because

we won't ask ourselves anymore if we take the drone or not.

So for now

all the images from the air will be shooted with the DJI Mavic Pro.

We'll keep on exploring Utah and we'll take you with us.

We just arrived in Arizona

to come see Horseshoe bend

because the shape of the water looks like a horseshoe.

It's Colorado river and the place is really nice.

And also pretty accessible.

That's the negative part.

It's about 7 in the morning

I can show you around.

They are already a few people

on the other side too.

And it's nothing compared to yesterday night

because we came here for the sunset too.

We could not believe it

it was the most crowed place we saw after Niagara Falls.

It was Thanksgiving a few days ago so that's just for you guys.

We also wanted to talk about my small camera

that I use to film all the talking footage.

It's the Sony rx100 IV.

I personaly really like it.

It looks like this.

It's pretty small.

I can carry it in my poket easily.

The pros are the image quality and the flip screen.

It's very important to see what we are filming.

And the negative part is the angle which is not that wide.

So I use a gorilla pod to have more perspective when I'm filming.

And also the sound is not that good.

Plus there is no external input for a microphone.

That's a shame.

But we found a trick with this homemade cover.

It decreases the sound of the wind and other noises

otherwise it's pretty bad.

But besides that for the quality and the price

it's pretty good.

We'll keep on driving. We'll hit the road this afternoon

and keep on exploring.

We are at the border between Utah and Arizona.

The place that you just saw is called The Wave.

Sam and I are really happy and lucky to be here.

It's a place that has been discoverd not so long ago

and to preserve the place there are only 20 people who are allowed to come see it.

To see it you need a permit.

To have a permit you need to be lucky.

Because it's based on a lottery.

You can come to the Visiter Center each morning

fill in a form and hoping for your number to be picked up.

We waited one week before our number finally got out.

Don't worry we were pretty busy during that week.

We had some stuff to do and we have a great news to tell you in the next vlog.

So we were able to see The Wave.

Unfortunately we did not spend much time up there

because we ran into a ranger that told us that the wind was picking up

by the way I hope you can hear me well.

There is a lot of sand too so it's pretty annoying with the wind.

We are on our way back to the van before it gets dark.

We wanted to talk a bit about Sam's camera

but we'll do that in the van because it's too complicated here.

We are in the van! Safe and sound! After this very nice hike.

We are warm. We got some colour because of the wind.

Now we are going to talk about Sam's camera that he uses for all the illustration footages.

I use the A7RII by Sony.

It's a great camera

rather you are taking pictures or filming.

It's a 42 million pixels camera.

When clients want to print their pictures the quality is very good.

You can zoom in the photo without losing quality.

For the video it's 4k and you can see the result in our vlogs.

And the size of the camera is small so that's great.

I use the 24-70 G MASTER lens.

It's a professional lens, quite expensive as well as the body.

It's an investment but these are my working tools.

I use a 24-70 lens because it covers all the focals that I need

almost all the focals.

It also allows me not to change the lens all the time

so no risk to have dust on the sensor because I hate that.

If I could give you one advice

it would be to put your money on your lens rather than on the body.

The lens won't be old too fast.

I bought this body about 1 year ago

and there is already a new model out.

With the lens you're good for ten years at least.

I also use a small strap.

I always was afraid to walk in the street and

and that someone pushes me and makes the camera fall.

I don't want to be put in an awkward situation.

So I use this strap. It's easy to use with the clip and handy to take out.

So I always have a security.

With this body and the lens I've got everything I need to film.

If I had more money I would probably invest on a zoom lens.

As you know I really like to film wildlife.

But in general the animals are far from me.

That means I have to get closer.

Elise hates that.

He's right!

So if I had the funds I would add a zoom lens to my gear.

We use this camera for all the illustration footage.

We'll keep on driving towards Bryce Canyon.

From what we saw it looks amazing.

We have arrived in Bryce Canyon.

The place is quite amazing as you saw on the footage.

We arrived late afternoon and it's already the sunset.

And it's pretty cold here.

That's why we started a fire next to our camping spot.

At the same time we wanted to talk about our travel bags.

We use them everyday and we love them. It's the brand called WANDRD.

We use the bags to carry our photographic gear

But we can also carry a lot of other things.

It's well thought for travelling photographers.

There is an external access here to take the camera easily out.

There is a pocket for a computer and other documents.

Plus there is an expandable part in the bag which is great.

Where you can put extra stuff like water, lunch and so on.

We are very happy about those bags.

We advice you to go on their website because they made a video about how the bag works

if you are interested.

We won't drag out for too long here because we still have to eat and it's cold.

We'll try to survive to this night. It's supposed to be -17° outside.

My friends

We just had the worst night ever.

It's freezing.

It's -10° inside the van and -17° outside.

Our 15L water tank is an ice cube.

We have the feeling that the cold is following us.

Yes. It's hard on our state of mind.

Without a heater it's pretty complicated.

This morning we took the decision to head to Las Vegas today.

We hope it will be warmer over there. See you!

We are in Las Vegas!

We are right next to the Eiffel Tower.

In the middle of Nevada desert.

We drove all day long to arrive here.

The sun is already starting to get down.

But the weather is nice. It feels good to be warm.

We still wanted to see a lot of stuff in Utah

but it was too complicated with the cold.

So we'll start exploring the West.

It's over for this vlog.

We hope you liked it.

And that you liked that fact that we talked about our gear. If you have other question feel free to ask.

We'll have some good news to tell you in two weeks.

We cannot wait to tell you.

The Patrons you already know about it but keep the secret untill the next vlog.

Thank you again for your support it really makes a big difference to us.

We'll see you in two weeks!

Ciao Ciao!

Chiang Mai Gate Food Night Market - Thai Cuisine: Chiang Mai Edition | VLOGMAS 2017 - Duration: 2:39.

We are at the South Gate of the Old Town in Chiang Mai

This Night Market is located very close to where we live and we come to eat here very often

The food here is great and cheap - you can get a meal for one euro

We are now at my favorite Pad Thai stall where I come so often that they already know me and know what I want to get

I always get the vegetarian Pad Thai, which is a local noodle dish, and this swamp cabbage

This is a great combination

These dishes are one euro each so for two euros I get a large meal

Let's try it soon!

Now, let's try Pad Thai

It has noodles, bean sprouts, egg, tofu, peanuts and then there's lime

Steaming hot

And delicious

Pad Thai is an excellent choice for vegetarians as well

But pay attention that many times it includes egg and fish sauce

But at some places here in Chiang Mai you can get a vegan version of Pad Thai

My swamp cabbage also just arrived

It's quite spicy

So it works great with Pad Thai since Pad Thai is not spicy at all

So it's a good choice for those who don't like spicy food as well

But with this side dish you can add a bit of spiciness

This combination is just excellent

I always have to get these two together since they compliment each other

You should definitely go and eat at a night market

You get to try the real local flavors

And you can buy food for a very cheap price

My recommendations

Antti recommends as well!

Sam's Choice Kenya AA Coffee Review - Duration: 6:32.

- Hey, welcome to Coffee Coffee Coffee, your choice

for Average Joe coffee reviews.

Today's coffee is Sam's Choice.

(drumming)

- Okay, so today we are reviewing

Sam's Choice Kenya AA

100% Arabica Coffee.

It's supposed to be a medium dark roast.

It's single-source.

This is a 12-ounce bag, which,

It's kind've deceptively small.

Cause' see, this is like twice the size,

what I mean is--

- The bag is bigger than the amount of coffee.

- Yes, sorry, that's what I mean.

So the bag, when I first saw this bag,

I was like, oh that's like a pound of coffee.

No, it's only 12 ounces, so it's kind've deceptive.

- Yeah it actually looks--

it looks bigger than a pound.

- Yeah, if you were to squish it down.

- But, we've tried another Kenya AA,

which was gourmet New York coffee,

and it was great.

We'll link you to the video for you to watch there.

- That was the chocolaty one, yep?

- No, their Sumatra was the chocolaty one.

- The Kenya was the peanuty one, oh, so good.

- So this, I was at Walmart today,

I don't know why I did that.

It's Christmas season and I went to Walmart,

but it was mostly older people,

pharmaceutical area was full.

I don't know what they put the toothbrushes

and the shaving things, and makeup, and all that,

all in one place, because--

- Categorically, it makes sense.

- everybody needs those items,

- Right.

- so then everybody's congregated into that one section,

- Yeah, human fellowship.

- It's terrible, no, human bumpership

cause' we always hit each other with your carts.

But anyway, so I was at Walmart,

and I saw that and I thought, hey, gonna try it.

- Yeah, single source from Mount Kenya,

which is in Kenya, in Africa.

It's a long-extinct volcano, didn't know

if you knew that or not.

- No.

- This particular one is called

the "Connoisseurs Cup," that's what they're saying

that it will be when you make a cup of coffee.

- We are not connoisseurs.

- We are not, so the largest beans are grated AA.

Hence, Kenya AA.

- Interesting, we didn't know that for the last thing.

- Yeah, and so it's supposed to have some wine-like acidity.

We like wine, so,

and it's supposed to be perfectly tempered

by sweet berry flavors.

Which reminds me of the Ethiopian coffee

has like a blueberry flavor, so, we'll see.

I mean, it was $5.99, right?

For a 12-ounce bag, so, on the cheaper end.

Not the cheapest.

- About average or a little below average, maybe.

- Mm Hmm, so we shall see.

- It does have a little beany smell,

I think.

- Yeah, maybe.

- Maybe, if I smell longer it might, actually,

kind've smell like fruit.

Maybe not, if I wish.

Well, no.

- There is um--

ugh, uh-uh, no, no,

Nope, that's enough coffee for me.

Definitely beaniness, I wonder, though,

we keep calling it beaniness, what if it's a berry flavor

that we keep--

But no, cause' the berry is something we did taste

in the Ethiopian, and it was really good.

Was that Sweetwater?

- Yeah.

- Sweetwater had the Ethiopian Coffee

and it was very good.

It did have that berry hint.

- I'm trying to, it's like--

- For science, I'm doing this.

- Mhm, so we can really give you

the flavor that we're tasting anyway.

I can't figure it out.

- Yeah, it's a...

- It's like it starts kind've cardboard-ish,

but then, after it goes down, that's gone.

So, I don't know what--

- Yeah, it's like, when it first hits me,

it's like, oh that's not very good, and then it's like,

for a second I'm like oh, well maybe it's not so bad,

and then it's like, oh no that's not good.

- Yeah, it has like an intermediate,

interm, inter, inter, inter

- Intermediate?

- Intermediate flavor, it's got three different ones.

- Yeah and so it starts bad

- The second ones like, wait, okay maybe that's--

And then the third one tells you not

to drink any more of it.

- It finishes, not nicely.

And, there's a bug in my cup, so,

I'm definitely done.

- Perfect fitting and--

- So, I'm done.

- So, if you're at Walmart and you're thinking,

hey, this looks interesting because its,

different, it says Kenya, Kenya AA,

looks kinda like they did extra work

to make it nice and good.

- Also, handy feature, this ziplock bag.

- I will say, that's great.

So many of the companies they put that little black

strip on there, and it falls off.

- Yeah, and it doesn't seal, you know?

You've got little squishy thing,

like where it pushes all the air out,

cause' the little hole, but then you all these big gaps

- And then the vacuum sucks it back up.

So, other companies take note:

this, now maybe Walmart can afford to do that,

and put out the bad coffee,

but this a nice little feature here.

- Yeah.

- If I were to give it a donut rating,

what would we say, like on a scale of one to five?

- Um, one and a half?

(laughs)

- Yeah, yes, one and a half.

She keeps trying to force these halves on me, so,

we're gonna concede and say one and a half

because it wasn't as bad as

the one-donut ratings we've had,

and it wasn't as good as the two, so,

we'll have to say one and a half on that.

- One and a half.

- Let us know if you try it or something like that.

- Or if you've tried other Sam's Choice's.

- Yeah, cause' there were four or five of them there

that I'm sure we'll try.

- I'm sure we will.

We try all the coffees.

- We do it for you.

- Yes we do.

- So, let us know in the comments if you try it

or if you'd like us to try something else, right?

- Yep.

- Anything else?

- Nope.

- Alright, until next time.

- Keep grindin'.

- [J.R.] Hey, thanks for watching our reviews.
