I'm not sure what that means

I read most of it

yea

Oh, I let that dude leave...

what y'all need me to read?

I was seeing if he could recognize this..

shiiiit...

hahhahahahaha

that looks like the one we talked about the other day...

yea, it's the same. What did we say it meant? in that Chinese place? Same word..

remember...''mail''

I'll give you a hint ''Mail''

it's a verb or something..

Oh, is it to recieve or give!?

hahahahhahhahhaha

((VIETNAMESE)) I like learning other languages, especially Vietnamese and Chinese..

it's funny because you speak with a Northern accent

hahahahahahhahaha

((VIETNAMESE)) Really?

((VIETNAMESE)) I'm Northern! lol

hahahahahaha

((VIETNAMESE)) I'm a Northerner

wow..it's funny how you talk with an accent

he does talk with an accent

((VIETNAMESE)) Northern?

yea

how did you learn?

((VIETNAMESE))Because I have a lot of books at home..

((VIETNAMESE)) I study independently, moreover I have a lot of books.

((VIETNAMESE)) I also use the computer to talk with Vietnamese people

((VIETNAMESE)) Speaking with Vietnamese people in order to understand this country

oh, OK

that's awesome right there..

hahahhahhaaa

how long did it take you?

((VIETNAMESE)) I've studied Vietnamese for about a year

one year?

wow...that's amazing

it's hard to learn

((VIETNAMESE)) It's tough

((VIETNAMESE)) The pronunciation is tough

I noticed that you're wearing a Buddhist jade

((VIETNAMESE)) My wife gave it to me..

I don't speak Vietnamese so I don't understand what you're saying

he's Chinese

((MANDARIN)) Do you speak Mandarin?

((MANDARIN)) Do you speak Chinese?

he speaks Chinese,too

((MANDARIN)) Do you speak Chinese?

I'm Chinese, but I speak the other one...I speak Cantonese

((CANTONESE)) Oh, you speak Cantonese?

((CANTONESE)) I speak Cantonese,too

((CANTONESE)) If you speak Cantonese, we can use Cantonese to chat

((CANTONESE)) Very strong

((CANTONESE)) Is that cool?

((CANTONESE)) OK

you have a special gift or something

wow, he just learned 3 languages like that

((CANTONESE)) My wife gave this to me

((CANTONESE)) Your wife?

((CANTONESE)) My wife gave it to me

((CANTONESE)) Because my wife's from Taiwan

((CANTONESE)) From Taiwan?

((CANTONESE)) Yeah

wow

((CANTONESE)) So...

you have a lot of free time

hahaha

his wife is Taiwanese

((CANTONESE)) So, if I want to practice Cantonese..oh not Cantonese...

((CANTONESE)) I mean Mandarin, I can practice Mandarin with her

((CANTONESE)) She doesn't speak Cantonese?

((CANTONESE)) You speak Taiwanese?

((CANTONESE)) Mandarin and Taiwanese

((CANTONESE)) Really?

((CANTONESE)) Yeah

((CANTONESE)) Where did you...

do you speak?

I only speak Japanese and that's why we were looking for a Japanese restaurant

hahhahahhahahah

((VIETNAMESE)) You're good **Southern Accent**

you sound good bro. Your accent sounds good

(VIETNAMESE)) Really?

I should say- ((VIETNAMESE)) You speak Vietnamese well **Northenr accent**

hahahhaahahaha

because you said it the Southern way

we say ''Yoi''

you see, that's Southern accent

**I didn't hear what he said***

LOLOLOL

((VIETNAMESE)) The Northerners say....for example ''Speaking Vietnamese isn't easy'' **Northern Accent**

((VIETNAMESE)) The Southerners say ''YEAH''

those are different regions

you definitely have a Northern accent

((CANTONESE)) Where are you from?

((CANTONESE)) I'm from Vietnam

((CANTONESE)) Where?

((CANTONESE)) Vietnam

((CANTONESE)) Oh Vietnam?!

((CANTONESE)) Yeah

((CANTONESE)) Well, then why don't you speak Vietnamese?

hahahhahhahahhahah

((CANTONESE)) I've been in China

((CANTONESE)) But your parents..

((CANTONESE)) Parents are Chinese

((CANTONESE)) But they speak Vietnamese?

((CANTONESE)) Yea, they speak it

Oh, OK

((CANTONESE)) Family came from Vietnam to China

((CANTONESE)) I got it..

wow

((CANTONESE)) You're good

are you going to learn,man?

hahhahahahhahhhhaha

no?

he went to Hong Kong

we're language geeks

he speaks Japanese though

good job and I hope you guys win

I'm already out..

hahahhahahhahahhahaha

what happened?

stuff happens

I qualified for top 16 tomorrow, so...

where's this tournament at?

at the Hilton hotel

where?

by the airport

you gotta hang out with the Asian people and practice, man

((VIETNAMESE)) I already know

do you pick it up easily? because there's certain people who can pick it up easily

((VIETNAMESE)) I think that if you can speak like 2 or 3 languages..

((VIETNAMESE)) When you begin another language, it's easier

the first one is difficult, but once you learn two, it gets easier.

I mean you still have to work hard...

It's the method.. I know exactly what I need to learn. I just need to put the time in.

so on an average I'm able to speak the language within 6 months

that's good,man

can you read and write?

I can read and write, yea

what?

I'm jealous

I don't joke around, I'm for all aspects of the language

do you speak Cantonese or Mandarin?

I speak Cantonese, Mandarin Taiwanese..

((MANDARIN)) Hello

((MANDARIN)) Are you Chinese?

that's all I know..lol

you should apply for a job at the state department,man..

state department..

it's not about the money for me, I just like talking with people...it's a passion

my life changed...once I started learning about these different cultures..I met so many people

and it opened up many doors. So for me, it's not about just making money

I mean, if I wanted I can go do some type of work for like the CIA or something..

I just don't have an interest in that type of work

I just like to do this...chat with people

I like the reactions, too...hahahahah

last week we went to a chicken place called Canes. We have one in Columbus.

there were a lot of Vietnamese girls sitting at the table.

I was with a friend and I told him that they were from Vietnam and he said ''how do you know''

I told him ''I bet they're from Vietnam. Let's go over there''

so we went over there to the table and you know, they were just talking..in English

I think they were born here because they had perfect English.

so I asked one of them ''Hey are you guys from Vietnam?''

and they went crazy. I didn't even start speaking Vietnamese yet..lol

hahahahha

they went crazy. They were like ''How can you tell we're Vietnamese?!''

hahahaha

and then once I started speaking Vietnamese it was over..

hahahahahhaah

they're about to call the police over there..

hahahhahhahahhahahhah

''what you over here doing? you harassing them or something?''

hahahhhha

but the reactions..I like the reaction, you know..

yea,it's different. Because the language is even hard for us

and with you having the accent....

yea

everybody says that ''you sound Northern, you sound Northern''

but you know the books I use for Vietnames? it's Northern...

yea

everything you know is Northern...

yea, it's Northern

I'll pick up the Southern one day

you can be an interpreter or something like that, you know?

actually, I teach too. I'll give you guys my cards. I have a website, I have a Youtube channel

cool

I can work for you

yea

you guys can just check it out when you get a chance

but this is what I do

these are my business cards..

that's my method..FLR..that means ''Foreign Language RoadRunning''

that's my technique

((CANTONESE)) That's my method for learning other languages

((CANTONESE)) This is my method

((CANTONESE)) When you have time you can go to that website and see

((CANTONESE)) Your name is..

Moses

((CANTONESE)) But my Chinese name is Mouse

((CANTONESE)) Mouse!!??

you know what that means, right?

hahahaha

((CANTONESE)) It's just my nickname

interesting

((VIETNAMESE)) Mouse

what?

that'a actually not bad..

the mouse is a very smart animal

in America you have different perspectives..at least from where I came in Asia, the mouse is a very intelligent animal

as long as it's not a cockroach

hahahahhaha

because my American name is Moses so when I first started learning Chinese, I had this Chinese friend..

I couldn't speak Chinese yet, I only knew a couple of words

but he introduced me to his family and they couldn't speak English. They were wondering what my name was so I told them Moses

everyone at the table were trying to say Moses, but they would say ''Mouse, mouse''

they couldn't say Moses, so my friend said ''Hey, I have a name for you'' I said what is that

he said we're going to call you ''laoshu''

I said what does that mean?

he said mouse. Everyone at the table started laughing. I said, man why do I have to be a mouse?

but it makes since because the way they were saying my name sounded like mouse

interesting,man..

it's rare to find someone who has that mastery in different languages

this is passion, man I love to do it. You know when you have a passion for something, you just...

The first time, I was shocked...

I knew...

not even that, way back...the Jehova's witness?

two white boys, blonde hair with a suit and tie coming up knocking on the door like

((VIETNAMESE)) Hello, how are you?

I was like......

((VIETNAMESE)) Where're your parents?

hahahhahhahahhahahhahahahhahaahhhahhahah!!

I said...no way...

where's your mom and dad..lol

my first time seeing a white guy with blond hair speak Vietnamese, I was freaking out

they teach us English, you know? reading the bible...

I didn't know about the bible until I grew up

You know this is actually...before we leave I want to tell you...

we didn't come over here to ask you where the Japanese places were. We knew where they were already

I just wanted to come over here and practice

see where you guys were from so that I could practice some Chinese..Vietnamese...

I knew you guys were Vietnamese, actually..I just wanted to make sure

how about him, does he speak any languages?

he speaks Japanese

oh, he speaks Japanese?

yep

that's pretty cool

so you don't read subtitles anymore?

no

I always find the dubbings to be terrible

you ever watch Dragon Ball Z? the dubbing is terrible

hahahahahhahahahha

some white dude, no offense

hahahahahhahahhahahhahahah

alright, we gotta go because they're waiting on us..

((VIETNAMESE)) Nice to meet you

nice to meet you

what's your name?

((VIETNAMESE)) Nice to meet you

that's good,man I like your accent

you like my accent?

yea, I'm trying,man I'm trying

good stuff,man..

alright

what video games you entered

what games did you play?

Street Fighter and Tekken

I'm just playing Killer Instinct

I'm still in. I won all of my matches.

I qualified for top 16 so.....wish me luck for tomorrow. I may be able to win the tournament.

anyways, you guys take care

you too

((VIETNAMESE)) See you later,OK!

((CANTONESE)) Goodbye

that's awesome,man..

they didn't even notice my camera. Do you think they noticed my camera?

No

hahahahahahhhaha

you should've said when you gave them your card that they might see themselves on there

they're gonna see it...

hahahha

dude, that was sloppy....dude...

what all you get?

dude..

man, what happened over there?

what's the aftermath?

hahahahhahaha

man..that was.....

let me see if my camera is still on...that was ridiculous, dude

weren't there another dude in a white t-shirt that came and joined y'all?

nah, that dude was the girls' boyfriend. White guy. He didn't speak any Vietnamese..she was mad at him lol

word?

he's a white guy, right?

yea

don't think feel

it's like a finger pointing to the moon

don't concentrate on the finger

or else you'll miss all of that heavenly glory

do you understand?

Four Reasons Why Talking to North Korea Would Be Smart Strategy - Duration: 6:59.

Four Reasons Why Talking to North Korea Would Be

Smart Strategy

BY JACOB STOKES

Trump is right to try and negotiate if his administration does it the right way.

It seems fair to say the Trump administrations policy on whether to engage in direct diplomatic

talks with Kim Jong-Uns regime in North Korea is still developing.

Its time to stop waffling.

President Donald Trump and members of his administration have articulated a range of

stances about starting negotiations with Kim over North Koreas nuclear weapons and ballistic

missile programs.

The White House seems to be broadly against the idea, yet cabinet officials have floated

the potential for talks and the president this week reiterated his campaign statements

saying he would meet with Kim Jong Un under the right circumstances.

The Trump administration should have a consistent policy supporting talks.

Negotiations would be smart national security strategy, even if they come to naught.

Trying to bargain with the Kim regime would be frustrating, given North Koreas history

of bad-faith negotiations and the heinous nature of the regime.

Nevertheless, four major reasons rooted in tough-minded realism show why a diplomatic

process makes sense.

1.

Give Kim Jong-Un a forum to make concessions.

The administrations current approach focuses on increasing pressure on Kim to give up his

nuclear and missile programs, as evidenced by the administrations escalating rhetoric,

(misplaced) military saber-rattling and focus on tightening sanctions.

The Trump strategy presumes that Kim will eventually buckle in the face of increased

pressure.

In order for this strategy to work Washington must provide Pyongyang with clear off-ramps

where Kim can choose to deviate from his current path in favor of behavior more amenable to

U.S. interests.

If successful, United States negotiators will need a forum for hashing out the specifics

due to the highly technical nature of nuclear and missile disarmament and verification.

Washington should create a relatively less-painful and face-saving way for Pyongyang to cave.

A negotiation process could provide just the venue.

2.

Depart from the Obama administrations strategic patience strategy and start the clock.

So far, Trumps policies toward Pyongyang seem to differ from Obamas only in name

and level of bluster.

The Trump administration has stated on several occasions that they want to ditch the Obama-era

policy of strategic patience toward North Korea.

Strategic patience, which the Obama administration adopted after the February 2012 Leap Day Deal

crumbled, shelved negotiations in favor of gradually increased pressure and waiting for

changes to the underlying situation

The potential for diplomatic engagement offers a real opportunity to change tack.

The administration and U.S. military and intelligence assessments rightly recognizes

that time favors North Koreas quickly advancing nuclear and missile programs.

As Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told NPR, We dont have the running room left.

The time crunch argues in favor of starting negotiations now.

A diplomatic process could be structured in a number of different ways, but any format

is likely to take months if not years even in the best-case scenario.

Holding back on starting a negotiating process until all pressure has taken effect is not

necessary and could be counterproductive, given the urgency stated above.

American negotiators should instead get down to finding a venue, indentifying interlocutors,

and exploring where exactly the parties stand on the issues.

U.S. diplomats can then aim for pressure to peak as the process matures.

3.

Keep China on board while avoiding becoming over-reliant on Beijing.

Trump has placed the burden of dealing with North Korea on China for now, a responsibility

Beijing rejects.

Xi has responded with symbolic gestures, but over the long term it is unwise to rely on

China to address North Koreas bad behavior.

Seizing the initiative on negotiations could be a useful way for Washington to retain a

central role in shaping eventsideally in conjunction with Beijing but going it alone

if required.

Right now a Chinese initiative represents the main compromise proposal being discussed.

It is known as the freeze-for-freeze plan and would have North Korea freeze its

programs in return for a freeze on U.S. military exercises with South Korea.

Washington has rightly rejected this proposal in the past, but the United States needs to

offer an alternative.

4.

Help justify eventual military action in the eyes of the world, if it becomes necessary.

The last reason why negotiations would be smart strategy is perhaps the most important.

The Trump administration could conclude it needs to use military force to destroy North

Koreas nuclear and missile programs.

To be sure, military options for North Korea will remain deeply problematic.

Any strike would be bloody and likely to provoke massive retaliation from Pyongyang, especially

against South Korea and Japan.

A military strike would be tantamount to war, and thus should be not thrown around lightly.

That said, to the extent that the administration is seriously considering forceand signs

say they arehaving engaged in a serious effort to find a negotiated solution will

be crucial for garnering international support for war.

Most of the world, including U.S. allies, evince serious skepticism about Washingtons

use of military force to address problems.

A credible negotiating process could be the difference between world opinion viewing strikes

as a justified and proportional act of self-defense versus a trigger-happy war of prevention.

What might seem like diplomatic niceties will make all the difference when it comes time

to deal with managing North Korean escalation and the messy aftermath of war.

There is a seductive righteousness in refusing to sit down at a table with the worlds

most repugnant regime.

But Trump should not let short-term satisfaction get in the way of crafting an effective strategy

to achieve American goalsor as Trump calls it, winning. Making an effort to negotiate

with Pyongyang will help Washingtons cause, not hurt it, and thus should become a central

element of U.S. strategy to deal with North Korea.

Are You On The Dark Or Light Side - Duration: 5:44.

Are

You On The Dark Or Light Side

By consciousreminder

Are You Aware of Your Frequency?

Humans are dualistic by nature. We are both of spirit/source energy and ego persona/matter.

When we are about three years old, we start developing our sense of self/individually.

This happens primarily by labeling and judging our perception of what is appearing.

If we never learn to temper this as we grow older, we separate from our spirit as well

as from others. This leads to feelings of loneliness, isolation, and even abandonment.

We have ultimately abandoned our spiritual self through constant separation.

Sensitive People May Struggle with Duality

Let us look at this from another angle. Instead of labels such as bad/dark, we use the term

low frequency, and substitute high frequency for good/light. Now we are working within

a range. Each person in humanity holds an energetic frequency on this range. Energetic

signatures are the total of our thoughts, feelings and beliefs. We are all unique and

have a base setting when we are born, a natural operating range/frequency which is then tuned

through our energetic signature.

Why? Each of us is here to experience, learn and grow through the vessel of humanity. Humans

are dualistic, for each frequency there is an opposite frequency: low and high for example.

Our base setting is determined by the life lessons we are here to experience. Does that

mean people cant change? We can always respond to life from our higher selves rather

than react from our ego persona. It takes awareness and conscious observation. Its

a practice which requires dedication. It can be done.

Spiritual Teachers and the Energetic Range

Where do spiritual teachers fit in? When we are shifting up that energetic range, it is

helpful for someone higher on the scale to hold the space and support us through the

transition. Their presence helps adjust our vibration and frequency. Do all teachers shift

you up? No, they dont, we must use discernment when choosing a teacher. Remember we are all

operating on a range. Look for people whose words and actions have congruence. Whose presence

feels uplifting without them speaking.

Since there is no bad or good when we drop the labels, how does that change our perception

of reality? Lets use an example: on our way home, we get mugged; now our lower frequency

will react, the perpetrator becomes evil and we become a victim (energetically). Our energy

stays in that frequency, through the law of attraction! We continue to receive validation

for our frequency with more experiences that support victim-hood, plus we are still stewing

in the event. We keep replaying it in our heads and create more suffering.

A Few Words on Acceptance and Resistance

A different experience is in acceptance. We got mugged on the way home, OK we proceed

by contacting the police, credit card company; whatever we need to do. Accepting that the

perpetrator was acting from his lower energy frequency, we dont react or go into victimhood,

it is what it is, lets keep flowing into the next moment. We do not create a resistance

of what has appeared by telling a story about poor us or evil him, which would

shift our energy frequency and cause suffering. Resistance = Suffering.

It boils down to; we are all here to do and experience what we are meant to, what we need

to evolve and shift to the next frequency. Sometimes its our suffering that is the

catalyst for a transition. It is the sign that alerts us to change our perception, and

balance our spirits and ego personas. Being human is challenging, if we can observe ourselves

and detach from ego occasionally. Rather than label others, if we hold compassion, we will

create harmony and that feels good/different.

DIY Mother's Day Card ~ #1 Mom Paper Medallion - HGTV Handmade - Duration: 4:41.

Hi guys, so this is your official reminder that Mother's Day is this weekend.

Of course you still could just run out to the store and buy a generic card, but you've

still got a few days, so why not make one yourself?

Today I'm going to show you how to make this #1 Mom Award card that your mom can actually

pop off of the card and wear during brunch.

Let's get started.

You'll want to begin with a piece of scrapbook paper.

This can be any color or pattern you like.

Measure two 1 and a half inch strips and cut them out.

And don't worry about the length of the paper, it can be anywhere from about 10 to

12 inches long.

Now we're going to score the paper every half inch.

I'm going to be all fancy and use a bone folder and a scoring board, but if you don't

have one of these, you can always just use a ruler and a craft knife.

This will just help us fold our paper a little more neatly.

So go ahead and start accordion folding each strip of paper.

You should end up with something that looks like this, where each section of the fold

is half an inch wide.

Now warm up your hot glue gun and glue the ends together.

Then grab the other two ends and glue those together to make a circle.

Now cut a circle out of cardstock, and then you'll want to act fast for this part.

Put down a glob of hot glue on the cardstock circle and then press your accordion into

a flat circle and press it down into the hot glue.

Keep your hand on it so it stays in place while the hot glue dries.

And then to make sure it stays flat, I also like to glue a smaller circle onto the front.

So this is what you should end up with, and don't worry if these circles aren't centered,

because we'll be covering them up later.

Next grab some scrap cardstock and cut out a rectangle that measures 1 and a quarter

inches by 5 inches.

Fold it in half lengthwise, and then cut a triangle from the bottom, so that when you

unfold it, you get a shape that looks like a ribbon.

Trace that twice onto another color of cardstock and cut them out.

Now on the computer print out a design that fits within a 2 inch circle, I went with #1

Mom.

Cut it out, I used a circle punch for mine, but you could also just cut it out with scissors.

And then optionally, find something that's slightly bigger than that circle, I'm using

a roll of tape, and trace and cut it out on another color of cardstock.

So now that we have all of our pieces made - it's time to assemble it.

Begin by gluing together the two circles.

And then glue those onto the medallion.

Try your best to keep everything centered at this point.

Then decide on the placement of the ribbons and use a bit more glue to attach those.

And finally, this step is optional, but to make the back look a little cleaner, I just

glued on one more circle to cover up all of the different layers.

And, that's it - that's how you make a paper medallion.

To give it to your mom, you could just glue it onto the front of a card, but if you want

your mom to be able to wear it, glue a pin back onto it instead.

And then pin it onto the front of the card and write your message inside.

So, when you go to Mother's Day brunch, your mom can wear the medallion all day long

to show that she is in fact the best mom.

And you can also adapt this idea for any other holiday by just changing up the colors and

the center message.

I've made one for Father's Day and also for a graduation.

I think it is just harmless fun to make your guest of honor wear something ridiculous like

a giant paper medallion, and I think it'll mean a lot to them that you took the time

to make it yourself.

So I would love to know down in the comments - what colors would you make your award for

your mom?

And what other holidays would you want to use this idea for?

Leave a comment right down below, don't forget to like and subscribe, and I'll see

you guys next time.
