Your brand is so much more than a logo. Your brand is your visuals, but it's so much more than that
You need a brand voice, but how do we come up with a brand voice?
Today, I'm going to walk you through three exercises. You can do to help you craft your brand voice

And we create custom brands and websites
for people who are in a crowded space who are tired of competing and are looking to
blow their competition out of the water --they want to stand out.
And I'm also the Savvy Community leader here in San Diego!
So let's dive in! Number one, you want to come up with brand words.
So, I do this with my clients all the time. You need to come up with words that you want your clients to react to.
So instead of thinking of this as describing your business and what you do for people
you're actually wanting to flip this script a little bit and think how does this feel to them?
How do I want to be
perceived? How do I want them to see me? So good brand words are going to capture the
feeling that you want them to feel when they come to your site!
Or when they interact with your brand. Some examples would be "professional, trustworthy, creative, caring..."
How do you want to be seen and how do you want to make them feel? All of those words that you really feel
capture the essence of your brand and how it helps other people. And once you have those words spelled out?

Number two this might take you the longest amount of time of all of the exercises
but it's create your pinterest brand room. So every client
I work with we do a pinterest brand board
but I don't ask them to actually pin
logos and websites. What I want them to actually do is to build a brand room. And what this exercise
does is it gets people out of that really obvious space of design and
websites and really gets them thinking about design and look and feel and mood without getting too literal with the actual design
and
functionality of the website. So [I'd] tell them to pin like if your brand was a room and someone was sitting inside of it what
would it be? So almost like you were putting on an event that was your brand. What would it look like?
Would it be bright and airy would it be pops of color would there be confetti everywhere?
what is it that your brand feels like when you're inside of that room? You can start off by
pinning lots of things lots of things that you kind of feel and that are
looking good to you and once you have I don't know about 30 pins or so
you can actually go down and start editing them and taking out any ones that don't fit the overall feel. You'll start to see a
pattern kind of happening, and you can see which ones easily don't belong there
But at first you want to just kind of brainstorm and pin everything. Once you've created this brand room
you're going to start to see all of these things come out. You're going to see colors
you're going to see a color theme kind of coming out
you're going to see some textures that keep repeating your to see some shapes and start repeating and that is how you're actually going to
start bringing together the elements of your brand.
So maybe your brand is a big celebration
And this room is going to feel like a big party you're going to start to see little elements that make it feel warm
inviting and fun
and you can totally keep your brand room a secret if you want on pinterest or

After you've done your brand room is to actually talk to someone else and get some help and show them what you've created
So maybe this is another Savvy, and you kind of ask them what they're thinking how does it feel to you?
What do you see?
What's kind of coming out to you?
Or it could be a professional you could talk to a brand strategist or a business coach or even a graphic designer
And ask for their help in pulling out elements from the brand room that you've created
You'd be very surprised what an extra pair of eyes can do on something they'll see things that you don't see and you'll go okay
