So, Your Spiritual Awakening Cost You Some Friends

by Gregg Prescott

Have you noticed a change in your relationships with other people lately?

Is it sometimes difficult or awkward to talk to others about spiritual topics?

Do you, at times, feel alone in your beliefs?

Have you lost contact with any long time friends recently?

You are not alone!

Im fortunate to have a lot of Facebook friends who post similar types of links.

Too many times, I see a lot of people who talk the talk but are afraid to walk the walk,

due to being ridiculed for their thoughts and posts (GROUPTHINK).

Ive lost some longtime friends because of this but have made many, many new ones.

Once the ego is released, you no longer worry about conformity and peer pressure.

Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that structures various belief systems within a

group of people while discouraging individual creativity and independent thinking.

Even within a group of individuals who are spiritually awakened, you will find groupthink.

If you look at the recorded history of mankind, youll find that this history is merely

someones interpretation of a landmark event or evolutionary process, backed by eyewitness

testimonial, scientific data, video or faith.

The actual truth may be hidden or distorted for many reasons, but mostly for control and

power.

Look no further than the origins of mankind and youll find a plethora of creation myths

from all cultures with varying dates of our existence.

Whos right?

Can you talk to your friends about the universe?

Do they know what a stargate or chakra is?

Are they willing to talk about ascension or spiritual enlightenment?

When you talk to people about the creation myth, they tend to remain inside the box with

a belief system that supports religions story of creation, which dates mankind back

to 4,000 B.C.

If you raise questions about our true origins, it tends to separate people and relationships

between those who think outside the box versus those who think inside the box.

When these topics arise within relationships, they often create dissension.

Its hard for anyone to admit theyve been deceived for so long and even more difficult

to admit they were possibly wrong in their assumptions.

This is a prime example of how our educational systems keep us locked inside the box without

questioning anything about what weve been taught.

Those who remain inside the box are afraid of what others might think if they venture

outside the box, so they remain complacent and subservient while conforming to what society

dictates rather than relying on their own discernment and judgment.

People could live their entire lives pretending to be what society expects them to be and

not even know it!

From an ego perspective, our thoughts are basically cultivated by what weve learned

from our family, friends, educational systems and religious beliefs, but what have we truly

been taught?

What can we say about anything that wasnt regurgitated to us by someone else?

As evidenced by past life regressions, our previous lives and soul history remain dormant

in our cellular DNA and can be recalled through our subconscious minds through hypnotherapy.

Within your cellular DNA, you actually remember being back with the Source along with all

of the things you wanted to accomplish during this incarnation, as well as all of the challenges

you wanted to overcome and all of the people who would lead you to where you are.

This includes the people that have come and gone from our lives.

Also see: Remind Me Again, Why Did I Incarnate To This Sh*thole?

Sometimes, we project to be someone that we expect others to see in us.

In psychology, this is referred to as the shadow self, where we project an identity

that conforms to how other people may perceive us versus being true to who we really are.

Some people may find out that they never knew who they were because they lived their lives

through the expectations of how others will perceive them.

Those who have begun their spiritual journeys may also be confronting these issues, which

initially creates cognitive dissonance.

Cognitive dissonance occurs when you get an uncomfortable feeling caused by holding conflicting

ideas simultaneously.

This is the transition period that many of us have gone through, where our beliefs have

changed, yet were unsure about relating these new ideas to our friends and family,

due to fear or rejection.

As our spiritual journeys continue, we become more comfortable within our own beliefs and

less concerned about how our friends and family view this awakening.

This is when the ego becomes separated from the self and fear is dissolved by love.

At this juncture, we begin to talk to acquaintances, as well as friends and family, about spiritual

and metaphysical topics, with less regard about what they might think of us or how we

may be perceived by others.

In time, spirituality will be the predominant frame of mind and its likely that those

who have strayed from us will be the first in line to ask for help in adjusting to the

new paradigm.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the

music. Friedrich Nietzsche

Remember this: You are not alone!

Those who truly love you will stand by you, no matter what.

Those people who are no longer part of our lives have already played their role in helping

us find out who we truly are.

Sometimes, it takes polarity to be able to differentiate who we are and where were

going.

This is where the unawakened help immensely, by providing that contrast which allows us

to see the differences.

Envision each awakened person across the planet holding a candle.

While your individual candle may not seem like a lot of light, it greatly contributes

to making the world FULL of light and keeps us connected, no matter how far apart we may

be.

While it may be painful to lose some dear friends, think about what they have brought

to your life and why.

Chances are, youll end a few old relationships with people who were, at one time, very close

to you, only to create new relationships with like-minded people.

Forgive yourself, as well as your friends, if you feel badly about this.

They came into your life for a reason a season or a lifetime:

Reason, Season, or Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty; to provide you with guidance and support;

to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will

say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die.

Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work

is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow

or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it.

It is real.

But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order

to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use

in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love

is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

What is he saying?(27) (Listening Practice) [ ForB English Lesson ] - Duration: 2:45.

Hello everyone and welcome to ForB's English lesson video.

My name's Richard and today can you guess what I'm saying?

I'm going to say something three times quickly and I'd like you to guess what I'm saying.

Are you ready?

What's up?

What's up?

What's up?

Could you catch that?

Alright.

Once more but this time with some hints.

What's up?

What's up?

What's up?

Can you guess?

Alright.

We'll do it again; this time, a little slower.

What's up?

What's up?

What's up?

Can you guess?

Alright. The answer is "What's up?"

If you put these words together, the "t" sound in "what" is silent,

so together it sounds like "wassup", "wassup" and the "p" sound is very soft.

It's not a complete "p", so "wassup", "wassup", so just closing your mouth.

Wassup?

Wassup?

Alright.

So let's practice this together.

First, a little slowly.

Then a little faster after that.

Are you ready?

Wassup?

Great.

Now a little faster.

Wassup?

Great!

Now a little faster than that.

Wassup?

Good.

Now let's try that three times quickly.

Wassup?

Wassup?

Wassup?

Great!

So now you know how to say "What's up?"

"Wassup?"

So the next time you see a friend and you want to say "hi" or how they're doing, or

how they are, you say "wassup?"

Alright, so thank you for watching today's video.

My name's Richard and remember to click like and share with your friends and I'll catch you next time.

Acting FBI director Andrew McCabe won't say if Comey told Trump he's not under investigation - Duration: 1:55.

Acting FBI director Andrew McCabe won't say if Comey told Trump he's not under investigation

by Alex Pappas

In his first committee testimony since becoming acting FBI director this week, Andrew McCabe

wouldn't say whether former FBI Director James Comey told President Trump he is not under

federal investigation.

"Did you ever hear Director Comey tell the president he was not the subject of an investigation?"

asked North Carolina Sen. Richard M. Burr, the chairman of the Intelligence Committee,

during a Thursday hearing on worldwide threats.

"I can't comment on any conversations the director may have had with the president,"

McCabe said.

In firing Comey, Trump wrote in a letter Tuesday: "I greatly appreciate you informing me, on

three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation."

In an apparent reference into the investigation into the Trump campaign's possible ties to

Russia, Florida GOP Sen. Marco Rubbio asked McCabe during the hearing if the dismissal

of Comey "in any way impeded, interrupted, stopped or negatively impacted any of the

work" of the FBI.

"As you know, senator," McCabe replied, "the work of the men and women of the FBI continues

despite any changes in circumstance, any decisions.

So there has been no effort to impede our investigation to date.

Simply put, sir, you cannot stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing,

protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution."

And that's involved in what?

It's about the audio of your productions!

Nowadays, with the evolution of YouTube and also with the professionalization of the creators

Of content, everyone is accustomed to watching a video with a certain standard

Quality, both image, video and related.

That is, you must have the perception and observe if your content is being recorded

With equipment of acceptable quality.

And you should pay attention and focus primarily on the issue of getting a quality microphone,

But not that they are those of a thousand reales and etc, but something that you can start well and that

Is desirable for viewers.

THERE ARE NOW 22 ALIEN SIGNALS THAT NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN - Duration: 3:57.

THERE ARE NOW 22 ALIEN SIGNALS THAT NOBODY CAN EXPLAIN

Ever heard of fast radio bursts (FRBs)?

These bursts of energy last but merely a split of a second at most, but the energy generated

by each burst are billions of times more than whatever we know of currently in our world.

To put it into a simple perspective, think 500 million of our Suns put together.

That is the amount of energy generated by an FRB within a split second.

Till date, scientists are still confounded by FRBs.

We have not even a vague idea of where it comes from, what it does or even what they

are exactly.

Theories about FRBs span from powering alien spaceships to our regular microwaves on Earth.

To think that such an occurrence is rare isn't surprising, however, scientists predict that

daily, about 2000 occurrences happen.

However, that is still a highly debatable subject as only 22 signals in the world are

confirmed as to date.

FRBs are notoriously hard to capture as signals only last for milliseconds before they've

entirely vanished without a trace.

The most recent discovery has scientists left in a trail of shock.

The FBR 150215, the first of its kind to be clearly recorded, was heard in Australia on

15th February 2015.

The FBR 150215, recorded as clear as day

We have been detecting FBR for years, but what makes this one so special?

Firstly, Petroff, from the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy, has claimed that this

FBR is detectable through many telescopes but however leaves no trace or signals.

More than that, it is even weirder as it is scientifically impossible for us to hear to

capture this signal, as the direction it was coming from makes it impossible as it had

to travel through a very dense milky way before it can reach Earth.

However, miracles happen every day, or maybe it is just another alien spacecraft being

powered up some light years away, as some have suggested.

There is still a lot more of the world, much less the galaxy that we are missing out on.

ESA's Euclid Gets Detectors from NASA; SpaceX Nails it at KSC; Houston, We have a #JWST! - Duration: 10:39.

Hello Space Fans and welcome to another edition of Space Fan News.

This week, NASA delivers the detectors for the European Space Agency's Euclid Mission,;

SpaceX nails another landing, this time on the ground and not on a barge; and uhhh Houston,

we have a JWST.

NASA earlier this week announced that it has shipped, and ESA has received, the first set

of detectors and electronics that will make up the heart of the two near-infrared detectors

on board the Euclid spacecraft.

The detector systems are key components of NASA's contribution to this upcoming ESA mission

designed to look at billions of faint galaxies in the early universe in an attempt, among

other things, to try and figure out why the universe is accelerating as it expands.

Euclid will carry two instruments: a visible-light imager (VIS) and a near-infrared spectrometer

and photometer (NISP).

The Euclid telescope has a special light-splitting plate that enables incoming light to be shared

by both instruments, which enables them to can carry out observations at the same time.

The spacecraft is scheduled for launch in 2020 and will observe billions of faint galaxies

to, as I said, investigate why the universe is expanding at an accelerating pace.

As I've told you many times, astronomers think dark energy is responsible for this,

and Euclid will explore this hypothesis and its observations will help constrain the dark

energy models that are out there.

This census of distant galaxies from Euclid will also reveal how galaxies are distributed

in our universe, which will help astrophysicists understand how the delicate interplay of the

gravity of dark matter, luminous matter and dark energy forms large-scale structures in

the universe.

And let's not even go into Dark Matter right now, you all know how I feel about that.

Annoying stuff.

So why is Euclid observing in infrared light?

For the same reason JWST is, that's where all the interesting astronomy is happening

in the distant universe.

If you want to look at galaxies far, far away, you'd better be doing it in the infrared

or you won't see much.

Infrared light, which is invisible to the human eye, is the money shot for studying

the universe's distant galaxies.

I know you've heard this example before, but like the Doppler effect for sound, where

a siren's pitch seems higher as it approaches and lower as it moves away, the frequency

of light from an astronomical object gets shifted with motion.

So for stuff moving away from us, light appears redder, and light from those approaching us

appears bluer.

Because the universe is expanding, distant galaxies are moving away from us, so their

light gets stretched out to longer wavelengths.

For the galaxies Euclid is interested in, between 6 and 10 billion light-years away,

the light from the galaxies have shifted to the red so much that they are now brightest

in infrared light.

Euclid observations hold a lot of promise for those looking to understand universal

acceleration.

JWST will contribute, but Euclid is going to help characterize the geometry of the universe

which will tell us a lot about the nature of the dark energy that's supposed to be

accelerating the universe.

I covered the basics of Euclid in SFN 175 so click on the link up here to watch that.

Next, SpaceX has done it again.

They've successfully launched another satellite and landed the first stage, but this time,

they landed on the ground, at the Kennedy Space Center, not on a barge.

I was at the launch but was too far away to see the landing, I did see the launch though,

and it was awe-inspiring as usual.

SFN correspondent Chris Marshall filed this report last week, but because I was sick and

couldn't post an episode, we're airing it this week.

This week SpaceX passed another important milestone for the company as they launched

their first National Reconnaissance Office Payload, let's listen in as the rocket lifts off

This launch was important for SpaceX as it allowed them to break the monopoly that United

Launch

Alliance had on NROL launches going back at least two decades.

As with all NROL launches, the details of the payload and destination were kept secret,

therefore SpaceX did not show any video or data related to the second stage.

However, they did show the return of the booster all the way from separation to landing back

on Landing Zone One at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

This was the fifth launch for SpaceX this year and their fourth landing.

Since the introduction of the Falcon 9 they have launched 33 times with one failure in

2015 when the second stage exploded during the CRS-7 mission, they also lost a booster

in 2016 during a static fire fueling process, which also resulted in the loss of the Amos

6 payload and badly damaged Launch Complex 40.

So far SpaceX has landed ten times, six aboard their Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ships and

four at Landing Zone One, one of those boosters was recently reused to launch the SES-10 payload.

SpaceX has several more important milestones planned for this year including the resumption

of launches from Launch Complex 40, the launch of Falcon Heavy and launch of their Crewed

Dragon vehicle.

Finally, Houston we have a JWST!

The mission for the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope has moved to the next critical

phase.

The main telescope is assembled and completed at the Goddard Space Flight Center earlier

this year and has been packed up and shipped to the Johnson Space Flight Center.

Here it will begin cryo testing in a huge Apollo-era vacuum chamber that will simulate

the operating environment at the L2 point, the final stop on JWST's journey in late

2018.

Now when I say packed up and shipped, I'm not talking about a UPS box with a tracking

number.

NASA has built a special container to hold the spacecraft so that it fits in a C5 cargo

plane, the largest plane the U.S. has.

So they packed it up in the container, put it on a special truck that was also designed

just for this mission, drove it in the dead of night through the streets of Washington

D.C., which, let's face it, is about the only time you can get anywhere in that town,

to get to Andrews Air Force base.

That's the same base Air Force One flies out of I think.

Then they put it in a C5 cargo plane and flew it to Texas.

Once it got to Johnson, they took it inside a cleanroom where the telescope was removed

from its special shipping container.

In the coming weeks it will be prepared for a key cryogenic test that will run nearly

100 days.

JWST is being tested like crazy, because once it gets to the L2 point some million and a

half kilometers away, there will be no repair mission to fix anything that goes wrong like

with Hubble.

To ensure the telescope's optics will operate in space, it must complete tests at cryogenic

temperatures in a vacuum.

And this will happen as I said in the biggest and baddest cryogenic-vacuum chamber in the

world: Johnson's Chamber A, the same vacuum chamber where Apollo spacecraft were tested.

This test is critical in that it will verify the performance of the whole telescope as

a system end-to-end at its extremely cold operating temperatures.

After these test at NASA Johnson, the telescope will get packed up all over again and head

out to Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Redondo Beach, California, where the final

assembly will occur and testing with the spacecraft bus and sunshield prior to launch.

Oooh, things are getting tense now, this mission is gonna give us all a heart attack, I can

just tell.

Son wins EPL Players of the Month! It's also second time in this season. - Duration: 5:16.

Hello Chook-ji TV subscribers, We are managers of Chook-ji TV.

-I'm Chook-ji

I'm Sieg.

It is an official. Heung-Min Son was selected as 'EPL Player of the Month'.

He was the first Asian player to win the Player of the Month in September last year.

Wow, He won two times in this season.

Son is the only player who won the Player of the Month award twice this season at EPL.

Well, actually, in April, he was really amazing.

Match with Burnley, Swansea, Watford, and Bournemouth, he scored goals.

In the match with Watford, He also scored two goals and one asist and selected as a Man of the match.

Although the last two games, Match with Crystal Palace and Arsenal(North London Derby), He did not record the attack points,

Anyway, the presence was so great that players could not ignore it.

Now, Let me talk with Chook-ji. Hello? -Hi.

Well, is it the same as Cha-bum the Koreans who have the highest goal record in the European league?

-That's correct.

It's 19 goals.

Son scored the first double-digit goal as a asian player in the match against Bournemouth.

Also, same as Cha-bum.

Will it be possible Son to break the record of Cha-bum in May?

-of course. That's enough.

I have a question.

Keep going.

I am football newbie, so I studied about back three and back four a few weeks ago.

Tottenham is using both Back three and Back four, and what is the difference between Son in these two formations?

- In fact, when Tottenham is using back three, Son starts at bench.

- It does not mean that Son is less skilled than Alli, Kane, and Eriksen,

- There just no playable position in back three to Son.

Oh, It's because of the formation.

Oh, then, in the FA Cup game against Chelsea,

Son was played as a wing back. Right?

-Right.

That was the desire of Pochettino, who has no place for Son, but could not give up on him.

- I think so. But it was a bad tactic.

I agree.

Yes, He did not show any other performance in that game.

-I think Son's most ideal formation is 4-2-3-1.

Like this.

And I also think this is the best fit for Tottenham if Son start as a stating member.

Oh, you think this is the perfect formation for Tottenham.

-Of course.

Ok, I see.

Well, with the news of Son selected as a "Player of the Month",

I learned about his role in various formations.

-Wait a minute!

Why?

-Are there any people who do not know how great a player of the month is?

Yes, I honestly do not know well :(

- This award has been going on for 23 years.

23 years? wow.

- Yes, but there are only 41 players who have won this award more than twice in one season.

41 people? Including Son?

- Including Son, then, 42 people.

Wow, that's amazing.

Right.

It is a record that people who dislike Son lose their say.

I suddenly had a question,

I heard that Ji-sung Park has won 'Manchester United's Player of the Month' three times.

- That's what the Manchester United fans are voting.

Oh, so that 's the "Manchester United's" player of the month.

So, how does the EPL player of the month be selected?

The evaluation method of Players of the Month is..

- The score of 20 judges, including Sir Alex Ferguson, Thierry Henry, and James Lee Duncan Carragher, will be 90%.

- The remaining 10% is determined by fans' Internet voting.

- And in the fan's Internet voting, Son won 44% of the votes.

Oh, did Son 1st?

Son of April was a player who could not really blame.

-indeed. Even one of the candidates was Eden Hazard

Oh, there's Christian Benteke, Eden Hazard, Sergio Aguero ...

They are famous players that I know all of them, even though I am a football newbie.

It is really awesome. And congratulations Son!

(applause)

WHAT GEAR ARE CS:GO PRO'S USING? - Duration: 4:41.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.

Have you ever wondered what the pro's are using?

A site called e-sportsgear has taken 140 well-known CS:GO players and made some statistics on

the 5 most popular choices for each separate gear.

I'm gonna show you which ones they are and which ones I really like.

Keep in mind that most teams' sponsors could potentially force what they need to use in

tournaments but that's mostly keyboards and headsets.

So let's begin with the mouse.

As you can see here, Zowie is the king, and you can also find the Razer Deathadder in-between.

I'm currently using a Deathadder Elite, the only difference is that the switches feel a little bit better

I like the new scroll wheel (it's nice for bhops)

and the bottom surface is something I think has been greatly improved. BTW I am not sponsored.

All Zowie mice have basically the same hardware and sensor, the only difference being the

feel and the design.

I have some friends that use the different Zowie products and they love them, I've seen

great positive things about it online but I haven't used one long enough to be able

to give you guys a review, if I'm lucky maybe Zowie could sponsor me one.

First on the list is the EC2-A which has been praised by a lot of people for being an extraordinary

mouse with great precision.

Next up, Mousepads.

What's interesting here is that all mousepads are soft.

SteelSeries in my opinion has always been a great choice for this.

QcK Heavy is 6 mm thick, being of the thickest gaming mousepads you can get it has that premium,

comfortable feel to it.

I've been using it a lot together with my Razer products but I've also used the Razer

Goliathus and that's also a great choice for most mice because it's 3 mm thick and it has

stitched edges to prevent it from being easily worn out.

Right now I'm using the BananaGaming mousepad which is 2.5 mm thick and it works great on

any mouse I've tried. You can get one on BananaGaming.tv

The Zowie G-SR is a very nice plain black 3.5 mm mousepad and just like the Razer one

it has stitched edges and it works really well with speed.

The last mousepad in this list from Logitech is something I've used when I was competing

at a lan party and I was actually amazed at how consistent and smooth the surface feels.

This may be last in the list but it's really good for what it is.

Keyboards.

Every keyboard in this list is obviously mechanical, and most players are most likely sponsored

to use them.

The Razer Blackwidow is first in the list but just because it's most likely sponsored

doesn't mean that it's bad.

In fact, I've made a review on the Tournament Edition which is even better in my opinion

because the numpad is removed and it has a detachable cable, but it's a little bit pricey.

Steelseries keyboards just like mousepads, are great, durable choices.

The 6Gv2 is different but it's very durable, perhaps a little bit boring in terms

of looks but if you like to blame something for doing a bad play in-game, this badboy

will definitely help you with your therapy.

All the keyboards in this list are pretty much plain and simple with high build quality

but what's more interesting is that it's a very mixed market for keyboards overall.

Let's move on to Headsets.

Used by most of the pro's is the HyperX Cloud II and I can understand why.

It's one of the best choices for all it's features: The sound quality, the microphone

quality, the comfortable design but most importantly the price.

It's cheap, especially for everything you're getting and I can definitely recommend this product.

However Sennheiser headsets are amazing and I would honestly say that they have the best

audio quality for gaming and for everyday use, but they're expensive.

HyperX Cloud Revolver S is in the list as well and also the old-school Steelseries Siberia.

I've used Siberia a lot, it's not famous for it's sound quality but it's extremely lightweight

and comfortable which is probably why most players like this pair.

I know nothing about the Corsair Void's apart from the fact that they look weird but that

could also mean that they're very comfortable.

So that's pretty much it, I'll link what gear I'm using in the video description along with

my in-game settings.

I'll see you guys in the next video, go bananas!

Strawberries contain powerful anti cancer medicines and have now - health - Duration: 1:33.

Strawberries contain powerful anti-cancer medicines and have now been scientifically

shown to prevent breast cancer

A new animal study showed that 500g of concentrated strawberry extract (equivalent to around 10

and 15 strawberries) can reduce breast cancer cell growth.

Researchers noted that their findings build on existing data that prove the usefulness

of strawberries in reducing blood cholesterol levels.

Published in Scientific Reports, authors claimed that a diet that is rich in strawberries can

potentially prevent or treat breast cancer.

We have shown for the first time that strawberry extract, rich in phenolic compounds, inhibits

the proliferation of breast cancer cells in in vitro and in vivo models, wrote Maurizio

Battino, co-author of the study, in an article on ScienceDaily.com.

Battino explained the process of the study as such: cells from a highly aggressive, invasive

A17 tumor line were treated with various concentrations (between 0.5 and 5 mg/ml) of Alba strawberry

extract, for periods of 24, 48, and 72 hours.

Battino and his team found that all cells demonstrated decreased cell viability; with

the amount of change dependent on the dosage and time.

Furthermore, it was seen that the strawberry extract reduced the expression of several

genes associated with the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells.

In the in vivo model, the team used female laboratory mice.

When these mice were one month old, they were divided into two groups.

One was given a standard diet, the other an enriched diet, which was 15 percent strawberry

extract.

After following their respective diets for another month, all mice were injected with

A17 breast cancer cells.

These tumors were monitored biweekly by palpation.

Battino and his team extracted the tumors after five weeks and analyzed their specific

weight and volume.

Data saw that a strawberry extract supplemented diet stopped the propagation of cancer cells

to adjacent healthy tissue.

The tumors were also significantly smaller in both weight and volume.

Despite these positive results, researchers stressed that these involved animal models

and cannot be assumed to be similar for humans.

Battino stressed this with the explanation that the majority of diseases, including

cancer, are complex and involve complex interactions between cellular and molecular systems that

determine the development of the disease.

These results are without a doubt valid for understanding potential effects of strawberries

on breast cancer and the molecular mechanisms involved, but they must be complemented with

clinical and epidemiological studies to verify whether humans experience the same positive

effects as we have observed in mice.

Another factor to note, authors said, is that the concentration of phenolic compounds in

strawberries (which is known to be the catalyst of these beneficial health effects) vary greatly

between varieties.

That being said, researchers concluded their study with the suggestion that a healthy lifestyle

and nutrient-dense diet can dramatically reduce the risk of developing any form of cancer.

Looking at the other health benefits of strawberries

Despite the study using strawberry extract, consuming the fresh fruit can still improve

overall health.

Strawberries are excellent sources of various antioxidants and contain essential nutrients

and vitamins such as potassium, manganese, and magnesium.

The berry is also loaded with vitamin C.

Studies have shown that consuming ample amounts of strawberries can reduce blood pressure

levels by negating the effects of sodium in the body.

Wellness experts also recommend the berry for diabetic patients.

Strawberries score low in the glycemic food index and help regulate blood sugar.

There is research that suggest eating around 37 strawberries a day can reduce diabetes-related

complications such as kidney disease and neuropathy.

A Harvard study concluded that regular consumption of anthocyanins (a type of flavonoids found

in berries) can reduce the risk of a heart attack by 32 percent in young and middle-aged

women.

Researchers noted that women who ate three servings of strawberries or blueberries per

week fared the best.

These are just a few examples of the numerous health benefits strawberries offer.

It wouldnt hurt to try integrating this delicious superfood in your diet today.
