Hello and welcome back to my channel
today I am sharing the much-anticipated
8 month keto diet update, I cannot
believe how quick the past eight months
have flown, I say it every month but it's
just it's just gone so quickly and it's
been such an awesome journey so today
I'm going to share how I've gone the
past month or any changes I've made how
I'm feeling, weight loss results, before
and after photos, everything about my
journey in the past month before I get
into it though, if you're new to my

lot to me, so yeah the past month if you
follow along my journey I went away on
holiday to Japan a couple of months ago
and while I was away, I did super lazy keto
or kind of off keto and was was just
mindful of what I was having, having mostly keto meals, a
few things here and there crazy ice
cream that kind of thing and then I
popped the date in my diary for the
first of May to get back onto keto super
strict get back onto it and continue my
journey and that's just what I did it's
amazing what a difference it makes to
actually put a date in your diary not
just kind of because when I got back I
was eating mostly keto and then I
thought while I was going to finish
these Japanese chocolates and I'm just
going to have a little bit of this and
just a little bit of that and having
those little allowances it it's it's got
to be either/or I find it personally
with me it's got to be either completely
strict or a little bit here and there so
I just thought you know what if I want
to be super strict I need to set a
date with it I need to give myself a
little couple more weeks of just
enjoying and then get straight back into
it and that's exactly what I did the
first of May came around strict back
into keto I shared a couple of videos
with you around getting back into keto
in my experience of that and it only
took me about a day and a half to get
into ketosis which was awesome I was
really really pleased with that and
so I've been on keto since then I have
been feeling that wonderful awesome keto
feeling I don't feel those
exhausted slumps that I've been feeling
while I was off Keto, I just like being
in ketosis and so initially when I got
back on to keto, I counted all my carbs, I
had my little notebook and pen and I
wrote everything down and after a few
days I kind of got my head around
everything again got back into my
routine and since then I have not been
counting my carbs, my calories, my macros
and in the past month I've have lost
another kilo, which I'm really really
happy with and so the total now is about
17 kilos which is 37 pounds in eight
months which I am very pleased with
I know it's I've had loads of stumbles
and plateaus along the way but I'm very
happy with a kilo month you'd think
being on keto and being super strict the
weight could be lost would be quicker
but I really do it much I'm not counting
my I'm not counting I find it personally
easier not to count would I lose it
quicker if I counted every single thing
and drove myself crazy maybe but then
again as I said I would drive
myself crazy
I would rather enjoy it lose a kilo
a month and just enjoy the process
because it's sustainable for me it's
sustainable the way that I eat and
that's what I talk about a lot every
single month I know I kind of repeat
myself a lot every month but the thing
is the themes are still reoccurring I
don't count my carbs I am just eating
intuitively eating low carb ketogenic
diet foods and I am losing weight slowly
and sustainably and I found when I was
off of keto, that was a huge worry, the
worry is as soon as you stop keto you
just look at carbs and you put weight
back on and that was that feel was my
huge fear that's why I didn't have a
single cheat in six months I was so
strict and so sticking to the plan that
I just I didn't, I was scared that if I
had anything I'd go back to the old way
of eating well having six weeks off I
still had mostly keto meals but I
had little things here and there and I
didn't put the weight back on in fact
over the time I was off I lost a kilo ish
I'm not sure, but for me if I try not to
weigh myself every day but it's
kind of first in the morning I'm just
curious and the scale goes up down
sideways so, I'm a bit of a
number nerd, I track it all in my
spreadsheet and I can see it goes up down
sideways up down sideways and so over
the whole course of the month when I
look for a month till today
it's a kilo but it's been over a few
days of go up and then I'll say the same
and so so many go down again and then I
go up and then they go down but it's a
bit of a, it's not linear it's just up
down everywhere, but aside from the
scales I'm feeling awesome and I took
some, my measurements as well and that
has all gone down considerably my waist
my hips my bust my arm everything has
gone down so much and I found over the
past month that my whole shape has
changed it's been kind of crazy all of a
sudden I have this like hourglass,
hourglass for you actually I'll show you
before and after photos, before I forget
and so I - okay let's first go, I just,
when I look at my before photos now it's
it's quite overwhelming, it's quite
emotional seeing how I was because I
don't obviously see the change day to
day I see all of a sudden when I put
together my before and after, it's
just a bit Wow okay, so I will put my
before over here, so this is my before photo
this what what I looked like, 8 months ago today
ish and today if you look over here it's
a different person, I don't feel like I
look the same my waist has shrunk down
I've gone down so many clothes sizes I
desperately need to shop for clothes, I
am I've been working towards the
minimalist journey so I've got rid of so
many things although it was too big for
me anyway and I also haven't bought many
clothes I don't think I've bought
anything in the last month even, um I
keep meaning to go shopping for clothes
but you know with having kids, I home
school my kids and I'm home with them
and just going shopping it just it just
doesn't happen, I'm desperately in need of
clothes, my husband even joked in a
lovingly nice way, he said that I kind of
look like a child in their parents
clothing because everything is so
oversized, today I was wearing this
and I thought,
I wonder why it fits so loose, is the button
done up and it is done up but it's
everything's, just it's all it's all
falling off me there's just like room
in everything, I need, I need to get more
clothing, through better and so that's a
huge awesome non scale victory is that I
need more clothes like desperately like
now and so hopefully that will happen in
next month and and let me know in the
comments if you want me to share that
anything to do with getting clothes
getting smaller I don't know I do have a
second channel I might do some if I do
some clothing shopping I might take you
take the camera along and do some
clothing hauls with new clothes if that
interest you let me know, but I have a
feeling that doesn't kind of fit on this
channel, I might put it on my second
channel so yeah just putting it out
there um and also yeh just all the
clothes are falling off me, the other
morning I got out of bed and my pajama
bottoms just just fell off and fell off
me but without doing anything they just
everything is just too big on me it's
just it's just hilarious and also what
happened in the last few days was that
when I've taking the kids to park I'd
always wanted to go on the swing next to
them
and I never had because I just knew I
wouldn't fit in and so this week I've
actually been getting on the swing and
it's been a bit of fun and I took a
photo I'll pop over here of just just
having a good time my motion sickness
kicked in pretty quickly and I didn't
last very long but I fit in the seat I
was swinging I didn't feel, I didn't feel
awkward or weird it just felt a bit
hilarious the kids were laughing and
it's just been awesome being able to
keep up with them be able to just have
the energy and yeah it's it's been an
awesome awesome experience and down
below I will leave a blog post with
before and after pictures and some more
thoughts and feelings in a more coherent
manner because these videos I just talk
as you know I talk about whatever comes
to my head about my past month and I
always put a blog post together with a
little bit more order in a bit a little
bit of more cohesion, so really I see it
that weight loss is a
marathon not a sprint, I am enjoying
losing weight in this slow and
sustainable manner even though it's on
keto, some people lose fortunes of weight
straight away on keto and it's taking me
a little bit longer and I am totally
happy with that, I'm totally happy
with experimenting as I go and I find
though if the scale has been the same or
I've been putting on weight for a week
my personal preference is to add food in
rather than take it out, I found the
first week or so when I was super super
super strict keto, the scale stayed the
same, I thought when I go back to keto
it's gonna drop off but I think
my carbs were too low, I think my body
needs a smidge more carbs, now everyone's
going to be different, I still
measuring in ketosis but I've been
adding in a bit more vegetables, a little
bit more fruit, just eating more, eating
intuitively even Keto food, that's one
thing that really frustrates me within
the diet community is that if you're not
losing weight or you're putting weight
on the first solution is - you're not
doing it right, be stricter, eat less, take
this out, take that out,
I found that taking things out and being
stricter makes the scale just not budge
I think my body just absolutely rejects
weight loss and just thinks no goes in
to starvation and hangs on to
everything, so I personally find that's
adding in a little bit of food now, not a
lot to I'm not going to go for all the
carbs, but just eating more, eating until
I am comfortably full and then if I'm
hungry I eat and that seems to help the
scales along, it's just as I said
everybody's different and you need to
experiment and see what works for you
and this is working for me I'm going to
keep eating and doing the way I'm doing
and as long as you're there to join me

I could probably do with losing
another 15 to 20 I actually don't have a
goal weight, I'm just going to keep going
for as long as I feel like it and the
BMI still says that I'm obese and I have
a feeling it's going to be saying that
for a while, yeah I don't even know when
it's going to say overweight on it but
I'm just going by me I'm going by how I
feel and I'm just gonna just just keep
going so, yeh I'm at eight months
definitely hitting a year in a few months
time, it's crazy
and beyond so yeah, now over to you I'd
