Waching daily May 16 2017

Early this morning, NASA deployed a tiny, experimental satellite from the ISS.

Roughly the size of a loaf of bread, IceCube will test a new, highly sensitive method

for studying ice clouds from space.

Using data collected from this CubeSat, scientists can continue to improve

and develop the technology for use on later satellites.

Install (no jailbreak) apps on tvOS & iOS (Mac) - iFunbox - UDID - iResgn - Duration: 8:34.

Very good, how are you, friends?

Today I bring you a method for installing applications in TVOS, iOS, ie Apple TV 4, iPhone,

iPad and iPod touch, we will do a Mac computer or if you have windows also

it would with a virtual machine that has Mac installed.

Other methods explained in other videos, but this is the one I like,

because once we installed the app we can used indefinitely, does not expire, all

to bear in mind is that if you want update if they launch a new

version of the application must return to install in the same way, ie

You can not update from the App Store.

First I will summarize what we need.

- We need to register our device as a developer, it costs $ 8.

- We need to sign the application. - and finally pass from the Mac to the device

via cable, already.

In this example I will explain how to install Apple TV 4 on the application of Popcorn

TV Time, it used to watch movies and series in English, not in Spanish, although

no subtitles.

If you are going to use this method for the Apple TV 4, you need a USB-C cable, I

I bought one which cost me 9 euros or dollars, I will leave a link in the notes

of the video.

If you are going to use an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, as you can the Lightning cable

I comes with it.

Once we have cable, connect the device to your computer, remember that

so that the computer will recognize the device we must have iTunes installed.

Well, the computer had to explain how it is done.

We also need to register the device As a developer, if I want to do with

multiple devices must register each one of them.

This serves to sign applications exclusively for the registered device

and to use these apps indefinitely, license has a shelf life of one year,

that is after that time will not sign Moreover, unless you renew the license, but

signed apps can continue to use them.

I've done it on the page UDIDregistrations.COM, has a cost from $ 7 per device,

It has to be the Bronze package plus or the Gold, normal bronze or silver does not

We serve us, because we need to send us two files, the certificate and provisioning.

Once we send it by e-mail it may take a week, although I

I arrived in two days, keep in a computer folder, and open the certificate,

it has an icon like this.

If you ask us we introduce and password we will ask if you want to add to that

certificate key, and press Add If you have password we write.

We accept and it opens the key to add it.

Once the certificate is installed on your keychain, We downloaded the application or applications

you want to install, I'm here installing as I said the Popcorn Time

I'll download TV for TVOS version, you also have the iOS.ipa version

iPad, iPhone or iPod Tocuh.

Once I downloaded it will drag all to the same folder to have it ordered.

I'll leave the link to all applications we use this manual notes

Video or forum Applemaniacos.com and also some other applications

TVOS.

After the downloaded application iResign which is only available for Mac, but I

I've seen it work in a virtual machine Windows installed.

The first time you open appear to us all empty fields,

In the first select the application link we want to sign, which in this case is the

that I just downloaded.

In the second link select the file provision sent to us by mail

those who have registered UDID us.

The third and fourth field leave them empty.

In the last select from the dropdown developer profile, this appears

if we have the key, as we have seen before, if we had not added, it will not appear.

appears with iPhone developer, name and name and number, if you have any questions

leave about it in the comments or in Community forum.

Mark the box, Install on ATV 4 and pulamos RESIGN.

The first time we sign an application We will ask if we allow

signed by the key, select allow Always so we will not ask again

and we hope that the new app is believed signed and at the end you see a window appear for

get a password, press Cancel.

What happened fast motion, although it takes more or less a couple of minutes, and creates a new

app with the same name but finished in resigned.

If the message appears as password canceled.

If we sign another app, we do the same, delete all fields except the Second

and Profile.

Now we can only pass it to Apple TV, We can use several applications

Thus, the simplest is to iFunbox, which the more people know and is free,

if sometime does not work any operating system upgrade

or whatever, I comment to pasaros other link to another application.

Once opened iFunbox, we can download From here, I have version 1.8.

I already detects the Apple TV without jailbreaking, press Install application, select the

signed, press Open.

We wait for it to install.

I'll pass it on fast though Installation takes less than one minute.

We already have here, we open it, we accept the terms and we can use it.

For those who do not know it is a app series and for streaming movies

in English with subtitles in several languages, including Spanish.

I'll try a movie.

It takes very little time to load the buffer, so less what I've tried, but not the

I use it because I do not like to watch movies in English.

I spent a minute fast camera that is less than it takes a minute or a minute

and a half.

I will cut copyright issues.

Now I'm doing a test with Kodi, I get install but when you open it

It is closed at the moment.

However I am testing a new method and if it works I will publish in the channel

YouTube, because we would not need to do jailbreak to have her on our Apple TV

Four.

Finally I have to comment that maybe you have to install Xcode on the Mac, I have it

installed but do not have very clear if necessary, if you go that you do not sign the app, you only have

I install it on your Mac as I have done I though you do not need to use it to

nothing.

We can also install any other app that is available over the network.

Any doubt you leave it in the comments or the Community Forum, See

New Giant Box Jurassic World Surprise Dinosaurs For Kids / T-Rex, Indominus Rex, Unboxing #2 - Duration: 21:30.

okay so let's go ahead and check out all

the dinos we had all set up in a natural

environment for them Wow cool so we had

some really cool dinos here and guys are

I'll be having a lot more because I have

a lot of Dinos show you guys and this is

the Jurassic Park command center so I

did a full review on that also so all

these guys are surrounded by 10,000 volt

fence Wow okay guys today i am

continuing all of shows you my Dino

collection I've got requests from ah so

in my comments that you guys wanted to

see all the dinos that I have so this is

going to be Fox Wilbur - right off the

bat I'm seeing a Jurassic Park drastic

world that a Mosasaurus t-rex indominus

rex dinosaurs is directing the storage

wow this thing is packed - guys you've

got a lot of Dinos underneath there also

all let's open these up and check them

out okay guys since we don't want our

dinos escaping we went ahead and set up

the ten thousand volt fence all the way

around here Wow

well dinos are not going anywhere we

have a lightning storm then we might

have a problem

okay guys what anyways let's go ahead

and introduce the Dinos three guys all

these dinos I'm going to show you I got

pool reviews and openings when I opened

the packages and display them and I mean

it there are a lot of fun lot of them in

New Giant Box Jurassic World Surprise Dinosaurs For Kids / T-Rex, Indominus Rex, Unboxing #2

anyways right off the bat this is going

to be one of the most detailed

Spinosaurus dinosaurs you can but this

one is actually made by Papo so really

evil looking big huge mouth very

detailed teeth I mean they went all out

with this dino it looks totally awesome

so like I said I'm just going to show

you the dinosaurs quick if you do want

to check them out more detail I have a

playlist at the end of the video well

anyways we're going to go ahead and set

this guy right up here coming right

outside the gate Jurassic Park and then

my next also would is a Mosasaurus from

Jurassic world

the only thing is I the spring inside

the mouth something happened to it

I mean it seems to be pretty common for

these drastic world ones so it's the

mouth doesn't really want to open before

when you pull the flipper the mouth

would open but you know that's ten

disappointing it doesn't anymore because

I can't replace this toy because this

odd they're selling it's like a $30 toy

but they're selling right now like $170

which i think is totally creepy but

anyways we're going to go ahead and pull

that guy right up there on top

nice way okay and next we have a walking

dyno this is a Styracosaurus you could

actually buy this one from China

I believe they sell it on Amazon and I

actually bought it on eBay but I do

believe they sell it on Amazon flashing

light to make noise it used to make like

a roaring screeching very annoying noise

but now not not that bad because it's

just mechanical you can see the tail

moves the leg moves the head boobs and

with the flashing lights he looks really

cool so we're going to go ahead and turn

him off and set him off all the way in

the back here this is a pretty big

diamond and then we have a cool aweso

fari

limited dino oh this is but you

pronounce that I mean check that out

it's car called rode on to Saurus

Carcharodontosaurus saw this guy they

did a great job on it looks real cool

I'm going to go ahead and set him up on

the island out here then we got a cool

Safari Limited

t-rex so Tyrannosaurus Rex obviously a

carnivore they have the tiny spit in the

arm so these ones are known as Nivas

some some times they're called like

devil dinos or tyrant dinos so the t-rex

is also probably the most known honor

all the diners so we'll set him up that

and we have another cool Safari limited

one this is the Acrocanthosaurus this

guy also was a carnivore as you can see

by his body shape and everything he was

very similar to the t-rex so like I said

made by Safari limited they did a great

job with the detail guy so we'll go

ahead and set him up here near and these

guys have agreed today not to eat each

other and then we have a really cool one

here this is a Jurassic world armored

ankylosaurus so he does have armor that

popped off with him and he's got a piece

here that fits on his tail so you can

see underneath he's just a regular

ankylosaurus with the tail swinging

action and the head popping out action

of crime so this guy's really cool too I

do like him on more with the armor the

armor is custom molded so it fits like

exactly on to his back and it just

stayed there I'm not a hundred percent

the armor on his tail stays there much

better this if you push down I lose you

could turn it upside down without it

falling and shake it a little bit so uh

it does fit really nice so that is cool

and we are starting to our ready run out

of room so we're going to put this guy

all the way back over there right by the

fence

we'll look and then next we have a cool

odd Jurassic Park toy this is a bar ox

this one has like the head swinging

action there you pull it's a leg back

its head like turns ah they did a good

job with teeth on this one really people

looking green eyes arms move the legs

move so all you can see this with JP 63

so we're going to go ahead and set him

up here we do Spinosaurus hopefully

they'll keep their promise

not easy Cho okay and then here we have

a cool Safari limited Allosaurus so you

can see ah he doesn't have as big of a

head as a t-rex he still is a carnivore

he is a good size - but he's not

included between Rex but ah

Safari limited did a great job with the

detail on this one

he is a bit of a smaller Dino to see

compared to mine in there let's go ahead

and set him up here like right at the

bottom of the water okay then next we

have a really cool t-rex this was made

by collector so uh they did a great job

with this one the only one that thing I

don't like is they modeled it like with

the bottle body going down so it's hard

to use this guy for like battles and

stuff bought for display purposes he is

also I mean they did a really great job

even like coloring his eye so I like the

detail and the collect coloring that

collect up pull into this guy so we're

going to go ahead and set this guy up

back here

sort of like floating on the water

and then next we got a really cool

herbivore

this is a Stegosaurus it also was made

by us

Safari limited see he's got the spikes

on his back in the big spike tail here a

great coloring job with this I like the

detail that they put into it and it is a

decent size dinosaur so let's go ahead

and set this guy up right back cool

and next we have a baby t-rex this was

for my Jurassic Park this is the one

that actually breaks it's on leg and

they bring it into the trailer and then

ah mommy I believe it's the mom and the

dad t-rex

attack and push their trailer over the

cliff so this one you can see is JP 42

and it does have a separating leg here

so that would be for like the bone being

broken so you could bring it in and fix

it up you can see it's got long spindly

legs the mouth those open and closed and

they did a good job detailing this guy

and his legs are all he does stand his

legs are really loose so I wasn't sure

if you wouldn't spin so anyways we'll go

ahead and set this guy off over here by

the rock okay then next you have an

awesome t-rex vibe attack so uh they did

a good job with the detail and

everything on this guy the only thing I

don't really bothers a few things I

don't like the mouth does not open and

close and this guy's pretty much only

good proposed ability I mean the way

he's bent forward it's hard to odd

because I like into battles and stuff so

this guy would be more like I said

proposing and they they sort of put like

a big hump on his neck

there I mean I know he's bending his

head down but just doesn't look quite

correct there and the coloring on this

guy is unique like a dark green with

like tan box like all wah they did a

good job on it so it is uh still a cool

looking Dino we'll set that one over

there all the way but it is and then we

have velociraptor echo this is part of

the first line of the Jurassic world

dinos because this one and the other

Velociraptor ones got a lot of heat to

take a look there what is missing you

have the third claw missing on a

velociraptor I mean that that is a huge

mistake so these ones understatement

these ones were not popular at all let's

say that which I could see why ah this

guy it's legs will move it has a really

hard time standing up so these earlier

velociraptors couldn't even really stand

unless you balance them with their arm

or you have them standing all the way up

balanced on their tail but this one its

legs seems to have gotten bent well

anyways this one's not that cool at all

the mouth we just fixed open some of the

later ones the mouth does open and close

and they do have the third clause so the

later ones are cool so we're going to go

ahead and hide this guy all the way back

here because he is

embarrassment and then the next one is a

dino but this one is Power Rangers this

is a limited edition spinosaurus from

the Dino super charge Power Rangers

edition of toys so this one is cool it

does turn into a Megazord you could lick

off the top off here's the head it's got

a bigger head piece inside the actual

body you go ahead and just lift him up

and transform him into a magazine but I

have a lot of episodes on those I

actually reviewed all of the Dino super

charge

Dino toys well anyways off you want to

check out my Power Rangers Dino super

charge playlist I do got a lot of them

on there and I got some I got them

transforming into Megazords battling

they are a lot of fun but uh Wow this

park is crowded so I'm going to set this

guy all the way up here at end right

then next I got a drastic world

Pachycephalosaurus

this guy's action feature he pushed on

on his tail he pops his head forward

these guys were herbivores and they had

like a really hard plate on their head

so I never attacked that Dino tried to

chew on its head it would probably end

up breaking it got like damage here you

can see it says JW there it looks cool

so uh this one I'm going to set up over

here at the other end of the rock and

then next I got a colorful hybrid this

is a drastic world steak it's Tara tops

so if you push down on his tail he does

pop his head forward he does get the JW

logo ah yes part bar on megasaurus so

you can see it looks really cool so

let's set this guy up over here and then

I got a big Spinosaurus from Animal

Planet so this guy's a cool looking to

action feature if you pushed on his arm

he chomps his mouth and he roars and he

thought his fin on his back here through

the tail does light up so long where to

put this

I'm going to set them up all the way in

the back they're like climbing defense

so by now he's probably be electrocuted

and then next I got a really cool t-rex

from Jurassic Park this is the Thrasher

t-rex it's called the Thrasher because

if you move his tail back here he

crashes his head and he has like off

captured gear you put on him and he

thrashes his head back and forward this

guy also has an action feature he pushed

his tongue he will close his mouth and

then if you want to pull his son the

size of his mouth off and he holds his

mouth open like that this guy is an

older one all rubber super cool super

detailed I mean this is one of the most

realistic odd Jurassic Park

dinos you going to get and this is JP 29

so I went ahead and set that guy up on

the fence all go over there and then

last of all we got the original

indominus or in Dominik's indominus rex

boy from Jurassic world so this is

actually one of my favorite drastic

world toys up I think this one is cooler

than the hybrid because I like it you

push its arm down here and it opens its

mouth way up on the check this guy out

he could look gross shit like you can

this thing coming at you Wow better say

goodbye this has the light-up law action

on its back it does have different

colors like it looks like the batteries

might be getting a little low and it

does roar it says Jurassic world here on

the side this one is almost impossible

to find

I actually bought a new one just

recently because I wanted to get all but

the ones new in packages and I think

I've made about $70 for him so uh

anyways guys there is still some drastic

world toys left blah as of June Hasbro

has lost the license for them so as of

June so next month they're going to be

gone and motels gonna take over the

license in July so they'll probably be

manufacturing toys on in the near future

and I will be reviewing all of them for

you guys because I love to ask in comm

world in Jurassic Park toys and I hope

they do a better job than Hasbro but you

know what guys a lot of people hate it

has girl dinos but you know I like them

I think they did some ah a great job a

lot of unique shops like this since

ominous wrecked this wall some some of

the other ones are cool too okay they

didn't do the greatest design job of

some of them but you know I I still like

their toys so all guys that was all we

had in the box today

okay so let's go ahead and check out all

the dinos we had all set up in a natural

environment for them Wow

cool

so we have two really cool dinos here

and guys are I'll be having a lot more

because I have a lot of Dinos to show

you guys and this is the Jurassic Park

command center so I did a full review on

that also so all these guys are

surrounded by 10,000 volt fence wowwwww

oh no bad and dominance

oh no look what he did he ate the baby

t-rex oh no he's didn't get the memo

that they're not supposed to eat each

other Oh looks like we're going to have

some major problems here now

those t-rex is going to start attacking

the indominus very soon now because you

just ate their face okay guys well if

you did enjoyed this episode please go

10 Animals That Will Soon be EXTINCT - Duration: 8:53.

For the last few centuries humanity has had a lot to be thankful for as our civilization

grew.

Decades after decades, we built cities and suburbs; paved new roads and freeways; and

built structures in places where we wouldn't believe it to be possible.

Humanity has indeed made great leaps and bounds even at the cost of the environment.

As our industries continue to grow and our living spaces continue to expand, we have

– either consciously or not – effectively destroyed and encroached on the habitats of

certain wildlife; wildlife that are not used to the disruptions and pollution of our daily

lives – and with this, many animals are fighting for their lives to survive in this

ever changing world.

Unfortunately for some, there are animals that we will never see because we have greatly

contributed to wiping them out of the face of the planet.

So in today's list we countdown to the 10 Animals That May Likely Go Extinct in Our

Lifetime.

Number Ten: The Hawksbill Turtle The earth is a planet whose majority is made

up of water.

Vast oceans, running rivers, untouched lakes in secret spots, the earth is one wet planet

and the wildlife in its waters is quite diverse and exotic.

The Hawksbill turtle is among the amazing creatures you can see underwater.

Its namesake comes from the beak-like mouth that is uses for plucking food from coral

reefs, mangroves, and lagoons.

A Hawksbill's lifespan is typically between 30 to 50 years in the wild, if their habitats

are untouched by humans.

Unfortunately, due to the brown and gold sheen of their shells, the 23,000 nesting population

of female Hawksbills are threatened by poachers worldwide.

It is believed that between 1950 and 1993, the Hawksbill turtle's population drastically

declined due to the demand and popularity of their shells that are often used as jewelry

especially in Japan.

Number Nine: The Gulf Porpoise Affectionately known as vaquita or "Little

Cow", the Gulf porpoise makes this list because it is currently one of the rarest

animals in the world.

Scientists and wildlife conservationists estimate that the Gulf Porpoise population is fewer

than 100 since 2014.

The dangerously low number was the result of habitat loss, environmental pollution,

and being caught in fishing nets whether accidentally or not.

What's even sadder is that the last remaining population of these porpoises live in the

Gulf of California - and despite conservation efforts, National Geographic estimates that

the last of them will likely disappear by 2018.

Number Eight: The Atlantic Goliath Grouper The 800-pound Atlantic Goliath Grouper's

population decline is unique.

While habitat destruction and pollution are contributing factors to much marine wildlife

extinction, it is the Atlantic Goliath Grouper's immense size that threatened it numbers.

To give you a perspective, this species of grouper can casually devour a shark and it

has a notable fearless personality.

Paired with its confidence, its inquisitive nature made it an easy catch for hunters and

fishermen in Florida during the 20th century.

After a shocking drop in its numbers, the US has since issued a moratorium on hunting

big fish such as the Atlantic Goliath Grouper but this particular species remains critically

endangered.

Number Seven: The Seychelles Sheath-Tailed Bat

Bats are extraordinary survivors and can adapt to any type of environment that they are in.

Even so, due to the continued destruction of its natural habitats like rainforests and

caves, the many species of bats are experiencing a steady decline in their population.

One such species is the Seychelles Sheath-Tailed bat.

Endemic to the Seychelles archipelago, specifically the islands of Silhouette, Mahe, Praslin,

and La Digue, this species of Sheath-tailed bats are losing their homes to a variety of

man-made reasons like deforestation.

Researchers believe that there are only two substantial roosts remaining and both are

located in Silhouette island.

Although their population are closely monitored by the Nature Protection Trust of Seychelles,

it is believed that they will likely be extinct in the next 10 years.

As it stands, there may only be 50 to 100 of these bats left on the planet.

Number Six: The Northern Bald Ibis Just because we may never have heard that

such an animal existed does not mean that it won't make this list.

In fact, it makes the species even more in danger of extinction.

The Northern Bald Ibis was a species with a population that was spread across North

Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Today, however, 95% of their population is confined to a "subpopulation" in Morocco

where, even there, their numbers have dipped to the low hundreds.

It also does not help that most species of wild ibis, including the Northern Bald Ibis,

are more endemic to areas that are constantly ravaged by war and armed conflict.

In Syria, it is reported that the numbers of wild ibis has plummeted drastically in

the last 30 years.

Today, the best hope for survival of the Northern Bald Ibis is to be bred in captivity; an effort

being carried out in Italy, Austria, and Spain.

Number Five: The Iberian Lynx It once had a thriving population in Portugal,

Spain, and Southern France, the Iberian lynx is now the most endangered cat species on

the planet.

The destruction of their natural habitat, automobile collisions, poaching, and the decline

of rabbit population in their areas have unquestionably forced this feline species to the endangered

list as their numbers have shrunk to some 120 individuals scattered in small populations

in the Andalusian region.

As part of Spain's conservation efforts, the government has decided to release rabbits

– the lynx's main prey – into the wild to make sure that, at the very least, these

cats do not dwindle down due to starvation.

However, if the Iberian Lynx does go the way of the dinosaurs and the woolly Mammoth, it

will be the first species of feral cat to go extinct in the last 2000 years.

Number Four: The Chinese Alligator Rare enough as they are in the wild, the Chinese

Alligator is known for its size.

A full-grown adult grows only up to 2 meters and is no heavier than 40 kilograms.

Native to China, these reptiles find their dwelling in the wetlands near the Yangtze

River.

Much to the annoyance of local farmers, the Chinese Alligator is also known for burrowing

tunnels that can ruin crops and plants should they find themselves near a field.

Being the most endangered crocodilian species in the world due to poaching, pollution, and

habitat destruction, the Chinese government has made efforts of breeding them in captivity

but environmental due to the fact that only 150 to 200 of them live in the wild.

Number Three: The Sumatran Elephant Elephants are no stranger to being endangered

by humans.

In parts of Africa and the world, the ivory trade has either been halted or completely

banned due to the global outcry of international organizations and wildlife conservationists.

The Sumatran elephant is no exception to this.

While they are not necessarily hunted and killed for their tusks, they are still in

peril of extinction due to their rapid loss of habitat as more and more forest areas are

being converted to agricultural lands.

Although there are efforts made by the Indonesian government to conserve the elephant's remaining

habitats, a study in 2007 revealed that – despite the efforts – there were less than 2800

Sumatran elephants remaining in the wild.

Number Two: The Sumatran Orangutan Extremely intelligent and gentle for its size,

the Sumatran Orangutan is a primate that is in danger of kicking the bucket as a species.

With no more than 7500 of them left in the entire world, their numbers continue to dip

as experts from the World Wildlife Fund place their declining rate at roughly 1000 per year,

a rather alarming number.

It will be no surprise that we will no longer see a single Sumatran orangutan within a decade.

Primarily, the reason for their rapid decline in numbers is human activity.

Deforestation, fires, pollution, and poaching are but a few reasons why the survival of

these gentle giants is on really thin ice.

Number One: The (African) Northern White Rhino Every passing day places the Northern White

Rhino at a high risk of extinction than, perhaps, any other animal on this list.

Due to poachers aggressively hunting them down nonstop, the world now only has three

northern white rhinos in existence.

You heard that right.

There are only three of these majestic beasts left.

Because of this, they are under constant armed guard 24-hours a day at Kenya's Ol Pejeta

Conservancy.

The rhinos, two females and a male, were transferred to Kenya from a Czech zoo in 2009.

During this time, there was another male that died in 2014.

If you would trace the records of these rhinos and go as recently as 1960, you would discover

that more than 2000 of these northern white rhinos were in the wild.

However, due to the high demand of rhino horns in the Far East, their population was reduced

to the three that are now left.

The last remaining male, a 43 year-old rhino named Sudan, has had his horn removed in order

to spare him from poachers and make him less valuable as a market commodity.

Unfortunately, due to his age, Sudan, the last remaining male white rhino, weakens by

the day and efforts to encourage mating the three have proven to be unsuccessful.

Nature's Electrode | Space News - Duration: 15:55.

Welcome to Space News from the Electric

Universe, brought to you by The Thunderbolts Project at Thunderbolts.info.

On Planet Earth, the most obvious and dramatic display of electricity in

nature is lightning. But what causes lightning? Although there

currently is a consensus opinion about the processes that produce lightning and

clouds on Earth, most scientists freely admit that many mysteries remain. On this

series we have discussed several discoveries that add to the mysteries,

including the finding that solar storms cause increased lightning on Earth and

the ongoing puzzle of lightning that occurs above thunderclouds reaching

towards space. In this episode Thunderbolts colleague Andrew Hall

explores the evidence that lightning is a product of the electromagnetic

circuitry connecting the earth and the Sun. The following image is from NOAA and

illustrates the consensus theory of lightning genesis. As you can see, it

shows electrons collecting like marbles in a sink, accelerating down a slippery

slope into what looks like a drain. A typical cloud-to-ground lightning needs

a billion trillion electrons. Are electrons just randomly floating in the

clouds when suddenly, a billion trillion of them jump into an imaginary drain

pipe like this image portrays? The consensus notion is that charge builds

in thunderstorms because of static electricity. The friction of hailstones

and rain colliding in the storm generates a static charge, like rubbing a

balloon against hair or shuffling feet on carpet. Positive and negative charged

particles from this friction separate ito layers according to the consensus

notion. The layers where they are found "pooling" are at distinct thermal boundaries.

So it's thought these thermal boundary layers keep the "pools of charge" apart, except

when they arc. The situation is depicted in this NOAA

image of a supercell, where layers of charge are shown stratified inside the

cloud. To become coherent, stratified and able to build enough charge for a five-mile

long lightning bolt - a billion trillion electrons worth- the charge density

required implies a plasma is involved. In fact, it's more than an implication. How

else could so much charge collect to create such arcs? There is no wire in the sky, no

battery terminal, or electrode to generate an arc. These "pools of charge"

must be plasmas. It only takes one percent of neutral air to be ionized for

it to behave as a plasma. Lightning genesis requires a plasma because that is what

forms the "electrode" in the sky. Let's consider lightning and how, why, and where

plasma forms to play a role in making it. We know Earths' atmosphere is

an electric circuit. It carries a charge, current and voltage.

The air is a weak conductor with a variable, vertical current between the

ground and the ionosphere of 1-3 pico-amps per square meter. The resistance of

the atmosphere is 200 ohms. The "clear sky" voltage potential averages 200 to

400 thousand volts between Earth and the upper atmosphere. At any given moment

there are about 2,000 lightning storms occurring worldwide. To create lightning,

the electric field potential must overcome the dielectric breakdown of air

at three million volts per meter. It does so because the electric field in a

thunderstorm jumps to over 300 million volts.

A typical lightning bolt is 3 to 5 miles long and momentarily delivers about

30,000 amps to ground. The collective current from a typical storm delivers

from 0.5 to 1 amp. The circuit is completed--a worldwide current from Earth

to sky in storms that return it from Sky to ground. The 2,000 concurrent lightning

storms, each about 1.5 amp, means this worldwide current is about 3,000 amps.

Only that isn't the whole story, because there as much more science

doesn't know about Earth's circuitry. There is also exchange from atmosphere to

space, and space to atmosphere. This has yet to be accurately measured or

understood. The existence of plasma discharges from thunderstorms to space,

called Sprites, Gnomes and Elves for their brief and ethereal appearance, is

a relatively recent scientific discovery. Their genesis, power and frequency is far

from understood. Wall Thornhill discusses these phenomena in much more

detail in his article, "The Balloon Goes Up Over Lightning" which is on his

Holoscience website. Cosmic rays enter the atmosphere,

adding charge continuously. The rate Earth is exposed to solar wind

fluctuates widely, both because the solar current fluctuates, and so does the

strength of the earth's magnetic field. Sometimes the shield it provides moves

around, letting more cosmic rays enter through "holes." Electricity flows around

Earth and Birkeland currents, molded by the geomagnetic field. How these currents

fluctuate in density and the resulting induced currents in the atmosphere and

ground, is another area of scientific uncertainty. Because of the variability,

variety and the fact they haven't noticed until recently, consensus science

can't yet understand how much current is entering or leaving Earth's atmospheric

system from space. The ground also carries potential that varies. Except for

the monochrome view of seismic returns, we can't even see what is below the Earth's

crust to comprehend the flow of current there. Nor whether, how, or where Earth's

current might enter the atmosphere. For electricity, boundary layers like the

earth's crust isn't an impermeable barrier,

it's an electrode. There is a cavity defined by the surface of the earth and the

inner edge of the ionosphere. It has been calculated that at any moment the total

charge residing in this cavity is 500,000 coulombs. Electromagnetic waves

reflect from the boundary of the cavity — the ground and the ionosphere — and

establish quasi standing electromagnetic waves at resonant frequencies. W.O. Schumann

predicted the resonant properties of the cavity in 1952, and they were first

detected in 1954. They are called Schumann's resonances and are measured as

broadband electromagnetic impulses at frequencies in the range of 5 to

50 Hertz. The atmosphere is undeniably electric. It's not a few ions benignly

floating around in the air, occasionally forming into "pools of charge", but a

globally active and coherent circuit. What should that tell us about lightning?

Mustn't it also be part of this coherent resonant system? Doesn't it beg

for a better model than marbles in a drain pipe? Fortunately there is a model

to look at: it's called electronics. Atmospheric arcs created in a circuit are

generally recognized to occur by thermionic emission. Everyone has seen a

hot cathode arcing as in a welding arc, where electrons are freed from the

metal surface of the electrode by heat. The metal is heated by its own

resistance to current and begins emitting electrons above a certain

temperature threshold specific to the electrode material. The temperature for

many materials is thousands of degrees. Another form of discharge less well

recognized is field emission or cold cathode emissions. They do not generate

electrons by thermionic emission. The electrode warms, but not appreciably

because heat is not what frees the electrons. It's the electric field

strength — a high voltage potential, that strips electrons from whatever material

is present, including the air itself. When this happens, the field forms ionic matter into a

plasma structure, called a corona. Corona is the electrode in the sky that discharges

lightning. Coronal discharge is used in a variety of ways in modern technology. It

requires a high voltage, which is precisely what is present in a

thunderstorm — 300 million volts or 1,000 times stronger

than in clear weather. Corona is the only electrical phenomenon that can result in

a non-thermionic discharge under atmospheric conditions. It's the driving force

of the storm and the generator of lightning. Corona occurs in a layer

perpendicular to the electric field where the field strips electrons from atoms,

sending them downward at near the speed of light along the field gradient, to

collide inevitably with another atom. The collision strips more electrons free to

follow the electric field, leaving ions behind. The region where electrons are stripped

is a cold, partial plasma. Increasing charge density by stripping and

collision amplifies and shapes the electric field, which self-organizes into a

corona. The "pools of charge" layered in the atmosphere are not pools of positive

and negative charge as depicted, but coronas that exhibit positive, or negative

polarity, composed of some mixture of ions and neutral species electrically

interacting. Free electrons continue the process of collision in what's called an

avalanche. Avalanche is portrayed in the stepped leader process depicted in the

image and is a witnessed precursor to a lightning bolt. The avalanche is one half

of the picture, however. Lightning comes from below, as much as from above. The

electric field also cools positive ions on the ground below the storm. Ionic

streamers, filaments of positively charged air, stretch up the electric

field toward the clouds. A lightning bolt occurs when the cascading step leader

and streamer meet, completing a plasma channel. None of this is seen with the

naked eye; it's all dark current up to this point. The lightning channel is

complete when it connects to a ground streamer. The connection allows a dump of

electrons from the corona to ground. Then heavier and significantly slower ions

carry up the channel and a return stroke. The return stroke can be seen in the image as

the bright flash that occurs the moment the first tendril of the avalanche

current strikes Earth, leaving only one path glowing after the flash. Corona

provides the reservoir of charge and the dark current mechanism for

avalanche required to make an arc. This is what is missing in the consensus

notions. The other consensus notion that static charge builds from hailstone

collisions, is also inadequate. A study using interferometer and Doppler radar

to correlate lightning with updraft and downdraft winds, showed that lightning forms in

low-pressure winds around the storm cell updrafts of warm moist air. As a storm

organizes and the updraft speeds up, lightning frequency dramatically

intensifies. Updraft winds don't produce much lightning until they reach 10 to 20

miles an hour, the study found. Then strike frequency escalates with updraft

speed. From 20 to 50 miles per hour wind speeds lightning frequency might be 5 to

20 strikes per minute, whereas above 90 miles per hour, the flash rate can exceed

one strike per second. It's like a motor running and the central updraft is the

primary mover. Water in a thunderstorm updraft goes through all of its phases.

From water vapor to cloud condensate, to rain droplet, to ice. The structure of a

thunderstorm is oriented vertically around the central updraft. The phase

changes stratify charge at temperatures where the transitions create ionization

events. Water is self-ionizing. Water in its liquid state undergoes

auto-ionization when two water molecules form one hydroxide anion and one hydronium

cation. Water can further be ionized by impurity, such as carbon dioxide to form

carbonic acid. Water condensing into clouds and droplets within a strong

electric field provides an ionization event. Water can become supersaturated,

rising above a hundred percent relative humidity if air is rapidly cooled, for

example, by rising suddenly in an updraft. The supersaturation instability provides

another opportunity for ionization. Ice is typically a positive

charge carrier meaning that current flows over its surface in streams of

positive ions. Flash freezing water onto the ice, as hailstones grow, provides another

opportunity for ionization. Each layer of air in a storm has a different temperature,

humidity, pressure and velocity, transporting different phases of water

at different partial pressures, which means the conductivity of the air is changing

too. This last item is important to remember. More about how this creates

coronas requires a broader look at the circuitry of a super-cell thunderstorm,

which you will find interesting because it will show how coronas produce other

effects. Perhaps it even explains all of the effects of thunderstorms. The electrical

circuitry of a super-cell will be continued in the next companion article

on Earth's electric weather. Over the series of articles I will present, corona

and its role in our weather, will lead back to geology and previously presented

discussions of arc blasts and how mountains are built. Like all things

electric, fractal forms repeat such that a coherent picture emerges, and boy have we

got a picture for you. Thank you. For continuous updates on Space News

A Day in the Life: Juilliard Drama - Duration: 4:45.

♫ ♫ ♫ [uplifting music]

I, well, I've always been a class clown but it

wasn't until I came back to New York

when I was 15, and I've seen a student-ran

show at theater row on 42nd Street, I

was in the audience just relaxing, and I'm like,

"Oh man, this is what I need to be doing."

So I was like, "Why not? Let me take a risk."

I auditioned for Juilliard. I come to

this place. New York's your background. I love New York.

And I felt healthy here. I felt the teachers

cared. They were serious about their goal

and inspiring the next generation of

actors. It felt like a good match, you

know? All things were pointed to Juilliard.

A typical day at Juilliard? Well, we go

from 9:00 to 10:00. It's a long day.

Moni's class is a big wake up call. That's

one of the most physically demanding

classes that I've ever been in. I mean,

if that alarm doesn't wake you up, he's

gonna wake you up, you know what I mean?

So his class emphasizes getting out of

your head and finding the energy around

you and being in that moment. Then that

parallels to being in a scene, being able

to stay with your partner and being so

open and wherever this goes, just trust

that I got your back. Going into that class,

I'm like, "Aw, man," but I then always feel like

a champion coming out. Masks class is a

gateway into different parts of your

personality.

Everybody puts on a mask, and everybody

gets up together. Whether you're utilizing a

neutral mask, or animal mask, or a

character mask, it allows you to bring out

parts of yourself you never knew were

there. Through the mask, you...you find

these things that ultimately help you to

believe in your character more and believe in yourself more.

Kate Wilson...so we'll form, like, a circle

and everybody's in their own different

play, but it's all a big collective. Whoever

wants to take center stage, you

go and take center stage and you speak

until somebody else comes in, takes it, and

moves their play along. And you get to

give-and-take, see what inspires you and

when you have the impulse to go and take the

baton, you go.

"And you are Irina, the youngest."

I mean, we're together from 9:00 to 10:00

every day, with the exception of, like, two

or three breaks, so on my off time, I like to

either go to the fourth or the fifth

floor, admire New York City, listen to

meditational music, send a few emails...so

yeah, it's a "me time." I like to quiet

my mind and to recharge myself for the

next group of classes.

Voice with Andrew Wade, the first 7 or 10 minutes we get to

warm up however you want and try to

channel that breath support down to the

diaphragm. And we get in a circle, we pass

lines across, playing with the structure

that Shakespeare has given you.

[Class reciting together]

So now you can let your own creativity come

through, so you learn the rules and then

you break them. In scene study with Becky

Guy, you get to see how people come into

the process and rehearse from a

week-to-week basis. So you get to learn

where people are coming from, the

different processes. She, she tracks what

you're doing and seeing what moments may

have not worked. You didn't...you didn't

get to that moment. You can't get to that

moment thinking about getting to that moment.

"The same moment, the moments are very similar."

Then I have singing class with

Deb Lapidus. Before Juilliard, you know,

I was a shower singer, you know what I mean?

But now I'm confident to go up and hold a

tune or hit a note. Singing class is just

like acting class, you know, this piece of

text...how do you interpret it? Put your

own spin on it, and you make it work.

The great thing

about being in Juilliard is you get to

develop these connections and be around so many

inspiring, talented artists. In our off

time, we just like to, you know, rehearse!

While doing normal day things...I feel

it's important, being able to allow the

environment wherever you are, whether I'm

eating in in the lounge. You know, you try

to find things or let things find you

and just be in the moment and rehearse.

Half of my class, we're doing 'Three Sisters.'

So rehearsal is a great time to

just in a way, let go.

You did like eight hours of classes, now you

can just let go and just bring what you got.

>>And on those little girls faces was a look of horror.

>>Fear, anxiety. I don't know what. It wrung my heart to see their faces.<<

>>Maybe it's not so much about the little girls, but as much as like what you're

>>able to see in yourself in them.<<

You want to get it right. You want to hit that

perfect schwa, you want to hit that "t" at

the end of the word, you know but...and I

have moments of like, "You are where you

are and that's okay. You will get there."

and, like "I'm in Juilliard." You come to

acting class thinking you're going to be

other people, but in truth you find out

who you are, which you can lend yourself

to other people in their circumstances,

you know what I mean?

Sometimes you can't see your growth. You

can see everybody else's around you, but

yourself, but I'm...I'm growing.

Jet Fuel Vapors Invade Virginia Beach Neighborhoods - Duration: 5:53.

Jet Fuel Vapors Invade Virginia Beach Neighborhoods

VIRGINIA BEACH -- In an attempt to keep out the stench of jet fuel, Cristin Pullmans family of three is sleeping in one bedroom at night. Family members have headaches and congestion. The house smells terrible, Pullman said.

The stifling fuel vapors wafted over the water behind Pullmans house when the wind changed direction in Brook Green Commons off Potters Road. She walked past her garden where lettuce, carrots and peas are planted and growing.

Were just going to ditch it, she said, shaking her head. Just beyond the hedges in her backyard, under the Potters Road bridge in Wolfsnare Creek, a slick sheen of jet fuel floated into a water boom.

Pullman and her neighbors want to know what effects they can expect from the 94,000 gallons of jet fuel that spilled at Oceana Naval Air Station Wednesday.

The spill spread to London Bridge Road, a ditch that runs parallel to it, and to Wolfsnare Creek, part of the Lynnhaven River watershed, before it was discovered.

Residents got some answers at a public meeting held at London Bridge Baptist Church on Monday night.

Heidi Kulberg, Virginia Beach district director for the Virginia Department of Health, told them typical reactions to the odor can be headaches, nausea and sore throats. Representatives from the Department of Environmental Quality reassured residents they are monitoring the areas affected.

We will be here for the long term, said Janet Weyland, deputy regional director. And the Navy took contact information from residents with questions and concerns.

The Navy previously had said the spill area was contained. The Virginia Department of Health is asking the public to avoid all recreational activities, including fishing and crabbing, in Wolfsnare Creek south of Virginia Beach Boulevard and East of Lynnhaven Parkway.

Its been a long weekend for people who live near the waterway. Eric Shea of Nottingham Estates off London Bridge Road first noticed the fuel smell Friday.

On Saturday, it felt like the air was saturated with it, he said. Later that night, his 6-year-old daughter had a nosebleed, something Shea said is unusual for her.

By Sunday, the wind shifted, and neighbors thought they were in the clear. But by Monday morning, the odor was back.

Richard Madden has been told by authorities that the air in the Brook Green Commons neighborhood and his home is safe to breathe, but hes not buying it.

He taped a sheet of plastic from the ceiling to the bottom of the stairway in his foyer to keep the fuel smell from going upstairs. He wears a mask when he goes outside.

Madden said he has a sore throat, swollen sinuses and a headache. Its no joke, he said Monday morning. We cant open the windows here; we cant turn on the air conditioner because it sucks up outside air.

His wife went to work Monday. Madden and his dog stayed home. Where can we leave to? Nowhere. I want to get away from it, but I cant, he said.

A few doors down, Styron Daniels stayed at a family members house Sunday night. My whole house reeks, she said.

Daniels is frustrated, too, with disruptions to her routine. Her house rattles when the heavy clean-up equipment is moved and the lights at night keep her awake. The whole backyard is lit up like its daylight, she said.

Harry Savvides lives across the street from Shea in Nottingham Estates. His backyard overlooks the tidal marsh. Hes been smelling the fuel for days. Its a strong, aggravated odor, Savvides said.

Hes concerned about what could happen after the clean-up crews move on and what, if any, possible damage there was to the natural environment that cradles his neighborhood. We would just like to know the long-term effects, Savvides said.

Several fish, birds, small mammals, reptiles and amphibians have died as a result of the spill, according to the Navy. Wildlife experts are assisting and taking precautions to keep animals from entering the affected area.

Savvides wonders why it took hours for the Navy to discover the problem. It was a mistake that should have been caught sooner, he said.
