Episode 11 Future plans
Good morning to all. Today we will begin the day selling our sunflower reserves.
Next we will prepare our fields for the next harvest.
The idea from now on is to work our fields into three groups.
Group 1 will be formed by fields 12, 14 and 15; Group 2 fields 16, 19 and 24.
And group 3, fields 22 and 23. Although after the next harvest we will join them in one.
In this cycle, we will plow the fields of group 2. Paul has finished field 19 and is plowing the 16.
I'm going to take care of field 24. We're going to expand it as much as possible.
Returning to the planning of the farm, in each cycle we will plow a group of fields after the harvest.
In the first sowing after plowing, we will plant corn or sunflower. In the second, wheat or barley; And in the terceda soy beans or rapeseed.
We will alternate the grain to be sown. In this way we will maintain prices and demand.
It is also a good way to avoid pests. Or at least reduce the effects of pests.
Thus, we will plant barley in group 1, maize in group 2 and rapeseed in group 3.
Since we have no pigs, there is no interest in storing large quantities of grain.
This will allow us to earn money after each harvest to improve our machinery.
The first thing will be to replace our old New Holland with a much more powerful tractor.
We will also need to change our harvester to a larger one; As well as the cultivator and the two seeders.
As we improve our implements, we will need bigger and more powerful tractors.
At the same time we will increase our flock of sheep.
Until we have 200 we will not consider buying pigs.
And this without considering to acquire more land. More lands not only means more machinery.
But also, more. And this means more day laborers and more wages.
We must watch the pace at which we grow and do it neatly.
But let's stop thinking about the future and focus on the present.
Mark has arrived and has begun to fertilize the fields.
When Paul finishes plowing, we will feed the sheep with the New Holland.
Meanwhile we will begin to cultivate the fields of group 2.
Paul already parked the NH on the farm. We will leave him the JCB and go to see our sheepish sheep.
We will sell our old New Holland and buy a new tractor.
What do you think about our new Valtra T Series? :-)
Let's start with the barley planting in the fields of group 1.
When Paul finishes cultivating, he will plant corn in the fields of group 2.
And Mark will be responsible for fertilizing and weeding with the Deutz.
I'm going to stop talking because I have a lot of work to do. I hope you enjoy watching it.
It's been a long, hard day. I hope you are not as tired as I am.
As always, I'll have dinner and rest. Good night and see you tomorrow.
