Elements To A Blog Post - Duration: 6:28.

successful blog post hey guys my name is Trena and welcome to another episode of

use YouTube video in your business strategy so now I have a question for
you do you have a blog on your website if you do share the link down in the
comment section below because I would love to check it out since that's what
we're talking about here today so since I'm not the expert on blog writing I'm
going to turn it over to Rachel up define your hustle to tell you exactly
how to write a blog post hey everyone I'm Rachel Moffett a blogger and the
creator of defying your hustle calm I'm so excited to be here in Trina's channel
today to share the five elements of a great blog post as a coach who works
with bloggers many of my clients struggle to create amazing content for
their website a lot of them simply aren't natural-born writers while others
just don't know the secrets of putting together a great blog post well I have
some good news for you creating content for your blog really doesn't have to be
hard and in this video I'm going to share the key elements every blog post
needs to have if you want to captivate your readers combined with high-quality
valuable content incorporating these elements will help your blogpost succeed
every single time so the first thing your blog post needs is a captivating
headline the headline is arguably one of the most difficult things about writing
a blog post because a lot of pressure is put on it the reason for this is because
the headline you choose can essentially make or break the success of your post
think about this for a second the headline dictates whether or not someone
is going to click through to your blog post and read more it's the first and
perhaps the only impression you'll make on a potential reader and that's why you
need to make sure the impression you make is a good one and one important
thing to keep in mind when writing your headline is that you want it to grab
attention without ever being misleading if you constantly trick readers with
clickbait they won't stick around for long make sure your head
I reflected en't they'll find in your blog post a great headline will be short
and it should make it clear what a reader will get out of the post it's
also wise to add numbers to your headline when it's appropriate because
readers love a good list post once you've gotten their attention with your
headline and they've click-through to your blog post you need a powerful
introduction to seal the deal your introduction should hook them and keep
them interested in reading more you see we have short attention spans and it's
not the easiest task to get people to read through your entire post in fact
it's been said that about 80% of people will read your headline but only 20%
will stick around to read what you've actually written this is exactly why you
need a captivating headline plus a powerful introduction working together
if you want your content to succeed so don't write a great headline and then
leave your readers hanging with a crappy introduction write a brief introduction
that's around 5 to 10 sentences and make sure it leaves them wanting more
try starting off your post with an interesting fact or a quote sharing a
memorable story or even a thought-provoking question your blog
posts could have all of these essential elements but it will still fail if you
don't offer up high-quality valuable content your readers don't want to read
a bunch of fluff they want incredible content that's going to address their
struggles and provide a solution to the problems they're facing that's why you
need to include well research supporting points in your post doing research is
helpful because you'll have outside sources to link to as a way to back up
any points you make and sometimes you may need to learn a little bit more
about the topic you're writing about just make sure you link back to any
sources you quote or cite within your content and when presenting the content
within your blog post you need to make sure it's readable you can do this by
dividing your post up with subheadings and using bullet points and numbered
lists where appropriate let me ask you this when it comes to blog post is there
anything more overwhelming than a gigantic block of text staring you in
the face probably not that's just one reason why you should incorporate eye
catching visuals into every blog post you publish not only are visuals great
for breaking up text but depends on you use them they can also serve as
visual aids to help your readers learn and absorb your content try adding a
visual for every 200 to 300 words in your post you can screenshots photos for
tutorials or created graphics with quotes from your post this is your
chance to get creative and add a little extra value for your readers plus
they'll be perfect for sharing on social media
once someone is done reading your blog post you don't want them to click off
your site never to return again that's why you need a call to action to tell
them what that next step is you can wrap up your post by telling them what they
should do but make sure it's clear and actionable so there's no chance they'll
miss out your call to action can change base on the post and what you're trying
to achieve with your content sometimes you may be trying to make a
sale by encouraging readers to check out your products or services but other
times it won't be about the sale you might want them to sign up for email
lists or simply engage with you by answering a question in the comment
section whatever your call-to-action is just
make sure you deploy it before they exit your site alright those are the five
elements every great blog post needs to have have you been incorporating them
into the content you've published or is there something you've been skipping
over leave a comment and let me know where you need to improve when it comes
to creating blog content Rachel you made it seem so easy to write a blog post and

Konami Collector's Series Arcade Advance (GBA) | Quickie Review - Duration: 7:09.
How awesome would it be if you could play classic Konami titles such as Castlevania
or Contra on the go on your Game Boy Advance?
Very.
Problem is: the damn thing doesn't exist.
But there is a Konami arcade classics compilation with games on it that predate the aforementioned
gems: Konami Collectors' Series: Arcade Advanced; with six pre-Castlevania Konami
classics loaded onto a single, tiny GBA cart to sink your teeth into.
Let's take a look at each game: Konami's 1981 classic is the first game
on this cart, and the reason that I bought this compilation to begin with.
What needs to be said about Frogger?
Hopping across the street, dodging traffic, and avoiding snakes and gators, all of the
while crossing the river across turtles' backs and floating logs, Frogger is just as
addictive now as it was 36 years ago.
This is an excellent arcade port with near identical graphics and sound, and a challenge?
Damn straight.
This game is a bloodsucker!
If you're as big a fan of Frogger as George Costanza is, then owning this compilation
is simply a no-brainer.
It's worth having just for this port.
Frogger is the shit!
Also released in 1981, Scramble is one of video games' earliest side-scrolling shooters.
Armed with a pea-shooter and bombs, you navigate a jet, hovering over rugged terrain, blasting
rockets, UFOs and fuel tanks—which keep your ship aloft as fuel diminishes rapidly.
With the screen scrolling automatically while hurling bullets and other deadly projectiles,
you'll be scrambling to keep your wits about you—but taking out aliens is just as satisfying
today as it was during Reaganomics.
"Reagan smash! Reagan smash!"
Definitely one of the gems on this compilation, Time Pilot puts you inside of a futuristic
fighter jet armed to take out droves of baddies over several time periods.
Released in '82, Time Pilot allows you to free roam over the skies, taking out enemy
aircrafts beginning from the year 1910 all the way into the future, where in 2010 earth
is attacked by UFOs.
Remember that?
The controls are initially tricky and take some getting used to, but once you do, oh
man, you'll be hooked!
Each stage requires a set amount of enemies to be taken down before a boss appears, who
will have to be destroyed in order to advance to the next level.
One of the better games released in 1982, Time Pilot will definitely test your skills.
The very next year another shooter was released, but this time confined within a "tube",
similar to that of Tempest.
Gyruss places you within the cockpit of a spacecraft designed to eradicate evil forces
destined to take over the solar system.
You navigate your craft around in a circle, destroying all enemies you come into contact
with.
You must endure an endless onslaught through two stages before reaching each planet which
then yields a bonus stage.
Despite lacking the middle stages, bombs and boss fights from the far superior NES version,
not to mention having the same stage theme music throughout, Gryruss is an extremely
challenging, near-perfect arcade port with fantastic controls, and one of the better
games on this collection.
Before Street Fighter there was Yie Ar Kung Fu, a one-on-one fighter that was heavily
influenced by Karate Champ.
You control your only fighter, Oolong, against a deluge of colorful brawlers with generic
names in front of a couple of different backgrounds.
The game uses a heavy Chinese/kung fu aesthetic, with kick and punch buttons for attacks and
the joystick for movement, including up to jump.
While the game is fairly challenging, it's probably a lot more fun when you know how
to pull off the moves, which I was only able to perform by accident.
An important chapter in one-on-one fighting's history, Yie Ar Kung Fu is primitive by today's
standards, but was definitely ahead of its time 32 years ago.
And the final game on the list is another goodie: Rush 'n Attack.
This here is the arcade version, not the NES one which had some significant changes from
the original source material.
The gameplay is identical however, allowing the player to stab his opponents to death
with a knife, while also equipping flame throwers, rocket launchers and grenades.
Instead of pressing up to jump like in the original and NES versions, jump was assigned
to the A button while your sub-weapons are utilized by pressing the R button.
If you're used to the original controls, this will undoubtedly screw you up until you
get used to it.
But hey, who likes pressing up to jump in a platformer anyway?
While the same exact music track plays on each of the four stages Rush 'n Attack has
to offer, the graphics are done very well, and yeah, the game lives up to its reputation--it's
simply BRUTAL!
Good luck!
But this is an excellent port of the arcade original, and another game on this collection
worthy of purchase for its installment alone.
Now, while I would have loved to have seen a few more games on it, such as Roc 'n Rope,
the six titles on The Arcade Advanced Collection are some of the best of the best from Konami's
pre-'86 days.
And there's also a few added goodies on this cart as well.
Each game allows for the famous Konami code to be used on their respective title screens.
The code will have a different effect for each game.
For example: Entering the Konami code will update the visuals
for both Frogger and Scramble with enhanced graphics and sound.
For other games, additional stages will be presented, such as the extremely difficult
black hole stage at the beginning of Gyruss.
Or an additional time period after 2010 on Time Pilot, where you go all the way back
in time to the Jurassic period where you have to take on giant pterodactyls.
Misfits' '1,000,000 Years B.C.' plays: "One Million Years B.C., One Million Years B.C., One Million Years B.C."
If you're a fan of classic arcade games, I highly recommend this compilation.
It's worth it for Frogger and Rush 'n Attack alone, but it also has Time Pilot and
Gyruss?
Sold!
The game is also fairly cheap, so there's even more incentive to pick this one up.
Sure, there are other Konami compilations out there, but giving you the option to play
either Frogger or Rush 'n Attack on the go is definitely the selling point here.
Give it a shot.

Puerto Rico Cash In On The Success Of 'Despacito' - Duration: 3:24.
Since the song Despacito, by the Puerto Rican artists Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, came out last January, its YouTube video has been viewed more than 3.2 billion times, demonstrating that all you need to succeed in pop music is a catchy hook
Plus nearly five minutes of incredibly hot men and women dancing sexily in the colorful, if gritty, beachside neighborhood of La Perla.
But is that enough for Puerto Rico, battered by the Zika virus and an island-wide bankruptcy, to succeed in tourism? Well, possibly! According to sources quoted in Travel Weekly
"We know that popular culture has a strong influence on our travel decisions," Taylor Cole, a spokesman for Hotels.com, told the publication.
"Puerto Rico is the home of the singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, and it gets a big shout-out in their hit song. Our search data suggests that Despacito is encouraging more people to explore this destination."
Search queries, of course, are not the same as actual bookings or visits. An analysis by the Washington Post last month disputed breathless claims of a "45% hike in tourism."
"We are closely monitoring official data sources to evaluate how the increase in searches and interest correlates to the number of visits and sales," Jose Izquierdo, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Co., told Travel Weekly.
The connection between pop culture and tourism, however, may be a deceptive one. Sure, it seems natural: Tourists want to participate in the pop culture of the places they visit.
In Croatia, where Game of Thrones is partly shot, so many visitors have been coming to Dubrovnik, which stands in for the show's King's Landing and where you can take GoT tours, that the city is using surveillance cameras to limit their entry.
And when European friends visit me here in New York, for instance, they always seem to want to go to jazz clubs; and Roman Holiday is fantastic inspiration for anyone who feels like traipsing around the Italian capital pretending to be a commoner.
But does anyone actually choose a destination based on pop culture? The best example we have of this is South Korea, which in the late 1990s, after the Asian financial crisis, embarked on a campaign to modernize and export
This "hallyu wave," as it's known, really got going around 2010, and tourism statistics show that over the next five years arrivals increased by almost 50 percent, from 8.8 million to 13.2 million (2015 is the most recent year for which there are numbers).
"If I had to guess, I'd say that food and surgery are a far bigger draw," said Euny Hong, author of The Birth of Korean Cool: How One Nation Is Conquering the World Through Pop Culture.
Though Korea's pop-culture campaign was certainly successful, Hong says tourism didn't necessarily appeal to those who fell deeply in love with K-pop.
They "aren't that curious about visiting Korea," she said. "Because, I mean, what's their plan, hoping to run into G-Dragon on the streets of Seoul?"
Good Korean food (like oysters) would be a stronger draw, she said. It's the kind of thing that's harder to reproduce abroad, whereas a YouTube video is the same no matter which country you play it in.
And when it comes to analyzing statistics, Hong said one must be skeptical. "There is no real way to quantify the effect of K-pop culture—it would be a post hoc, ergo propter hoc fallacy," Hong said.
"I even spoke to the Ministry of Culture some years back, and they admitted (rightly!) that it was impossible to quantify the effect."
If Korea has a lesson for Puerto Rico in here, it might be this: You can play up Despacito all you want . but tourists are going to continue to come for the same reasons as always: beaches, seafood, and salsa dancing.
