Hill Farmer's Blues | Mark Knopfler Songbook | Lesson 27 - Duration: 10:01.

Thanks to everyone for asking for this song.

It's not easy in a sense of deciding

the capo position—7th fret is pretty high,

not an obvious choice at all.

Technically it works on the 5th fret,

on the 2nd fret, with no capo at all

because of the very guitar-friendly Em,

but this is the most natural way to play it.

So now we're into the famous

Here Comes The Sun position.

I'll start with the verse, because

Hill Farmer's Blues starts on

the chorus sequence anyway.

It's Am played in a way, resembling Privateering,

in fact—it's the same exact chord and rhythm:

thumb, downstroke, thumb, up, down, up.

Simple enough.

Then C/G going to F.

On F you're supposed to lift the second finger

up making this cool 9th sound.

It's very hard to do it in a classical bar fashion,

unless you block first two strings

instead of one.

So it's another time to

troll your guitar teacher...

With this.

But seriously, it's just another way to play

and it worth every single second of struggle

while learning it.

And speaking of worth,

the song is actually owned by Glenn Worf,

the bass player (bad pun time).

If there's only one reason why this song works

so well, is because of his tremendous musicianship.

After the F there's C/G, G and back to Am.

The second repetition is the same

sequence again, leading to the chorus

through the C/G bass.

Now, as I said, the chorus is the solo sequence

as well as the intro, as well as the outro

and it's just two chords going back

and forth—F and G.

With a little help of the 9th,

but still.

And of course C/E. F, Fadd9, G, C/E.

Again, the

good thing is to mute the first string,

because not only it makes a cool rest for fingers,

but it also gives this clear sound.

And this is pretty much it, but the cool part is

that in this position it's possible to do some

experiments with chord voicings.

If I want, I can

play the melody even.

Or add some open strings

to emulate the keyboards part.

But you can't emulate the bass part anyway.

For soloing, as I said, at this point

the rhythm-section is the king here and

there's not so much of an emphasis

on the solo itself.

But the two-chord sequence

reminds me of "5:15 a.m." solo, but played

backwards: F to G instead of G to F.

All the tricks apply here:

basically two Pentatonic scales: C and D Major

and D7 scale of course if you ignore the capo.

D7 scale is just the major scale with flat 7.

And the D7 unlocks the blues, too.

And Em Pentatonic will do it

in the minor section of course.

Enjoy your summer and thanks for watching!

Here's Why You Shouldn't Mess Around with the Total Solar Eclipse - Duration: 1:26.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

In case you haven't heard a total solar eclipse will be fully visible on Monday August 21st

within a band across the entire contingent United States.

Well back in 1962, a man named Lou Tomososki stopped to watch the partial eclipse occurring

in the sky with one of his friends.

Because of it, he's suffered permanent eye damage, 55 years later.

Now 70 years old, Tomososki is sending a warning to those who are thinking of catching the

full solar eclipse with their bare eyes.

Tomososki learned that he had burned the retina in his right eye during the eclipse, giving

him a partial blind spot in its center.

His vision never improved.

He warns,

It's going to be over real quick and it's not worth taking a chance.

Millions of people out there are going to be looking out at it…

How many of them are going to say, 'Something happened to my eyes?

That makes me sick.

He said that he wished he knew more about the risks of looking at the sun during an

eclipse that day, and he hopes that others will heed his warning to wear eye protection

during the upcoming one.

There are ways to watch the eclipse safely.

Tomososki says that he's still going to enjoy this upcoming eclipse but he'll stand and

watch it get dark.

That's your news for now, for more of today's stories subscribe to Complex on YouTube.

SERIES I BINGE-READ! - Duration: 5:11.

Hi everyone, it's Sandy and today I'm going to be talking about the series

that I binge-read and marathoned. One of the very first series that I've binge-

read is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins.

I remember in eighth grade that this book was assigned as a class reading, so

yes, I had to read it for school, so I wasn't very happy about being assigned a

book to read. I thought this book was going to be bad and I wouldn't like it. It did

take me a while to get into this book but once I was about 100 or 150 pages

into it, I was like, this book is pretty dang good. I read the last half of this

book really fast. I went to talk to my 8th grade teacher and asked if I could

check out the second book, which is Catching Fire, and she gave it to me to

check out. I read that book in two days and then I went back and asked for Mockingjay

and she was really surprised that I finished Catching Fire so fast but she

did have Mockingjay available so she gave it to me and I also read through

Mockingjay pretty fast. And she was really surprised by how fast I got

through this entire trilogy. I'm sure most of you have already read The Hunger

Games but if you haven't, this is definitely a really great series to

binge-read because it's fast paced and action-packed and to this day, I'm so

very thankful that my 8th grade teacher assigned this as a class reading. Another

series that I binge-read is Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. When I read the

series, it was around the time that I first discovered BookTube. I remember the

series being talked about by Christine from Polandbananasbooks. I decided to

check out the first book and I'm really glad that I did because I went through

this entire series super fast. What I really liked about the series and what I

think makes it a great series to binge-read is that it's really fun to read. It's

entertaining but it also has these very fast-paced, action packed, but also dark

moments as well. I think there's a great balance of everything in this book. When

I binge-read the series, all the books were out so I was just having the time

of my life reading all the books and not having to wait for the next one to come

out. Although I didn't own all the books when I first binge-read it, so I had to

keep going back to my library and seeing if they had copies available. After

binge-reading Vampire Academy, I binge-read The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra

Clare. When I started the series, there were four or five books out, so I was

also sort of binge-reading the Infernal Devices as well. This is a series that

Christine also talked about pretty often. After reading and loving the Vampire

Academy series, I knew I wanted to read more series that she recommended. The

next two series I binge-read are written by the same author and they are

the Lux series and the Covenant series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Jennifer L.

Armentrout writes such addicting stories that are so much fun and entertaining to

read about and these two series are no exception. I'm sure a lot of you know

about the Lux series but I think the Covenant series is so underrated and

deserves more hype. If you like the Lux series and you also like the Vampire

Academy series, then this series is for you. The first book is called Half-Blood and

it does have a similar premise to Vampire Academy but this series has to

do with Greek mythology. These series are just so fun to read and I highly

recommend it if you're looking for a new series to binge-read. Both of these

series have really funny moments in them. I loved both of the main characters in

these books. Both of them are so fierce and sassy and I always loved main

characters that have those traits. The next two series that I binge-read are also written by

the same author and they are The Fixer and The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

I'm sort of cheating with The Naturals because I actually didn't binge read

this series but I think it is definitely a great series to binge-read. I did binge

read The Fixer and since these books are written by the same author and I think

they're really great series to binge-read, I figured I might as well include The

Naturals in this video as well because I do like the series a lot more than The

Fixer but I think they're both really great series. The Naturals is a completed

series and there are four books out and The Fixer is technically a duology at

the moment but I do wish and hope that one day there will be a third book. The

Naturals is like Criminal Minds but with teenagers and The Fixer is like a

teenage version of the TV show, Scandal. If you are interested, definitely check

these books out. I think they're really amazing and I absolutely love them and I

can't wait to read more books written by this author. The next series I binge-

read is the Falling Kingdoms series by Morgan Rhodes. This is a six book series

and when I started the first book, there were only three books out. I'm so excited

for the sixth book. The cover looks beautiful and I just can't wait to see

how the story ends and how things are wrapped up. This series is definitely a

hit or miss. I feel like there are a lot of people out there who don't like the

series but there are also a lot of people out there who do like the series

and I'm definitely one of the people who do really enjoy the series. It's kind of

difficult to describe what the series is about but it's a fantasy series that

follow multiple point-of-views. Another series that I binge-read is the Heroes of

Olympus by Rick Riordan. All of the books in the series are

pretty big but these books are just so engaging. You become so invested into the

story and with all the different characters. I really love the series and

I haven't started the Magnus Chase or Trials of Apollo series yet and I've

been really missing Rick Riordan's writing so I'm really hoping to get into Magnus

Chase really soon. And the very last series that I binge-read is The Selection by

Kiera Cass. This story is basically a YA version of The Bachelor. The whole story

is just very entertaining. The main character can be pretty ridiculous but

that is what made the whole series binge- worthy to me. Those are all the series

that I've binge-read and marathoned. Let me know in the comments some of the

series that you binge-read. Thank you for watching this video. I hope you

enjoyed it and I will see you next time. Bye!

Basic Electrical Theory - Model Railroading For Beginners - Ep 16 - Duration: 15:36.

you can't get away from the fact that you're going to need to know something

about the electrical aspects of model railroading

in this video I'm going to show you the basics of electricity and what you're

going to need to get by in model railroading by no means is this an

all-inclusive explanation of the principles of

electricity I'm not an electrical engineer I've studied electronics

I've been electrician in my earlier years I'm retired now but I'm going to

tell you how you're going to get by with the basic knowledge of some of the

principles of electricity in this video right here so let's get started with it

right now I'm Tom Kvichak and this is Toms Trains and Things this channel

was created to help other modelers who are in need of guidance in pursuing

their dream of building a model railroad and one of the main things that you're

going to need to know about is how these locomotives operate on the track and

you're going to need to know just a little bit of the principles of

electricity and electronics in doing so and I'm going to show you that here and

we're going to go through all this stuff right here right now so let's go and get

started with it most of the manufacturers take care of all the hard

parts in the locomotives they put all the electronics in there and then the

decoder manufacturers and everybody that makes the little gadgets like those

little things down here from digitrax they take care of all the complicated

stuff but you still have to connect those to your railroad to make the thing

operate I'm going to teach you Ohms Law I'm going to tell you a few other things

I'm going to I'm going to show you in another video how to use a multimeter

and it doesn't have to be like this this is a good one you can get any multimeter

and but that'll be another video besides this one here but I'm just going to go

through the principles of electronics electricity

go through Ohm's Law and some other little things on here how to hook up

switches terminology and all the little things that you need to know when you're

looking at some of the diagrams that they have for these items and everything

else that you're going to need to know about the electrical components first

thing we're going to talk about is Ohms law now this little chart right here

this little pie chart there that's a little bit complicated and this that

goes into really great detail but what I'm going to do is just go over the

basics of Ohms law and we're going to talk about voltage current and

resistance and that's the three factors in Ohm's law voltage equals current

times resistance plain and simple and this goes back to the math classes you

had long long time ago saying what am I going to need all these formulas for

well anyway here it is you're going to need it for finding decoders if your

locomotive isn't listed for a specific decoder you can find out what decoders

you're going to need by how much amperage your locomotive draws let me

turn this thing around so we could go on the whiteboard so I can give you a

little demonstration of what we're talking about here it's right over there

I'm going to be using this board right here so you could see what I'm talking

about that is Ohm's law and that was created by Georg

Ohms along Georg ohm a long time ago E is voltage it could be referred to as

potential electro-motive force a lot of different things depending on what

school you went to I is the current R is the resistance and they're measured in

volts E Voltage Volts I current amps R resistance ohms

you're going to see this diagram a lot about DC about hooking up your track

these two red lines right here are your track and these two blue lines here are

your feeders going to your track with the transformer there now this is this is

just like DCC these are your feeder wires right there and you're also going

to have your bus wires down here so that's the same thing here you got your

track you got your feeder wires right here and then you got your bus wires

right here and then somewhere along the line down here you got your command

station or if you're doing DC

you have your transformer right there so basically this is what you're going to

be looking at for the very first time whenever you're hooking up your tracks

and you're going to wonder what is going on what are all these things about okay

whenever you have a little dot right there that means that's a connection

you'll see that a lot when you have a little thing that jumps over a wire here

that means they're not connected okay I'm going to show you a few more symbols

that you're going to need to know that could be a battery or that could be your

power source battery or power source

that's a symbol for a fuse now I'm not an artist here but that's the symbol for

a resistor that is a symbol for a single pole single throw switch this right here

at the bottom one right here is a single pole double throw switch now comes the

fun part now if you want light bulbs or something like that anytime you have

anything it might be shown as a circle it could be a light bulb it can be a

motor and they'll and they'll usually identify it with a letter inside of it

of what it is and it's the same thing as resistance for a resistor because that's

going to be something in the circuit that you're going to be dissipating the

power from your battery or your power source and these drawings right here I

have the power source of battery switch and a lamp I'll use the lamp of that

little thing right there it could be anything it could be a diode it

it could be a LED it can be a motor in there if you want to lonely be in there

we could put a little resistor in there too but to make to simplify things that

made it as a lamp also this drawing right here is the same as this drawing

right here and is the same as this drawing right here we're assuming that

this is where you have additional items on a line and here's a switch here's the

lamp and this goes to ground so all three of those are identical it's just

different ways of showing the same thing now you may see batteries like that okay

each one of these is a cell in the battery okay but as far as model

railroading goes you'll probably only see one or you may see it as a coil on

your transformer like that has your power source because there's going to be

another one up here now let me see if I can do that okay that is a transformer

this is your primary and this is your secondary okay you might have 120 volts

here and you might have 12 volts here now there's other circuits in there that

would change this 12 volt because this is AC that they see but then you'll have

some other circuitry in here with capacitors diodes of maybe a little

voltage regulator to make it DC I'm going to show you another thing that you

might see in a drawing and I'll explain this to you if you ever see this this is

this by itself is a single pole single throw switch but when you put another

set of contacts in there and you get a bass line in between that you won't see

the box around it but I just put the box there so you know that it is one unit

but that is a double pole single throw switch that means there's two contacts

in that switch this is what a double pole double throw switch is going to

look like in your diagram you're going to have two different terminals for each

wiper on your switch and it's connected internally so what you're going to have

is six terminals and this is what the bottom of the switch is going to look

like these right here in the center are going to be these right here and then

the two outside ones are going to be these two right here this is like the

wiper right here and it's either goes this way and when this one goes this way

this one goes this way they're both connected and so when you flip the

switch the other way these two are connected so that's a double pole double

throw switch just to make things a little bit more clear a single pole

single throw switch this is just the side view of it you'll have two

terminals on it and this is what it looks like in the wiring diagram okay

and the double pole single throw switch is going to have three terminals on it

right here and these two terminals here so you'll be able to use ones

normally-closed and ones normally open here so and

you'll be able to when it switches it'll switch down that way so what this is

right here you'll see on the switch itself it may be real small on there but

it it will identify them with a C an NC and NO almost the switches will have

that on there so you know which contact is normally closed that's when it's just

sitting there and you may have like a little thing on here and

there's another wiper an actuator thing and then it will push this thing in to

switch between normally closed and normally open it will switch that down

to here so this one becomes closed and that one becomes open so there you go

with that also you have a normally closed switch ok on a normally closed

switch the white you have continuity going through there so this is normally

closed this is a normally open switch most of them are normally open switch it

could be a push button okay and you'll have a little deal and I'm not the

greatest artist but there's a push button and you have normally open push

buttons and normally closed push-button on the normally open push button you

have an open circuit there so when you push the push button in it closes the

circuit when you have a normally closed push-button you have continuity normally

and then when you when you push the button you break that continuity and it

opens up so that's the difference between normally close to the normally

open is just a little review of Ohm's law here here's a little pyramid with it

E equal I times R I equal E over R and R equal E over I don't forget to

subscribe and ding that Bell that's a sorry-looking Bell right there but you

get the idea so you could be notified whenever I have a new video coming out

and like I said I'll have one on the meter and I'll have more videos coming

out on principles of electrical on your model railroads so take a look for

I hope I covered enough in this video for you to understand the basics of

electrical design and principles in model railroading if I missed anything

and you have any questions don't forget you could leave a comment down below and

ask me anything you want and I'll answer it for you and I'll probably do a Q&A on

it for you so don't forget Ohm's law the little pyramid there and I'm taping this

with my phone so I can't show you the little apps but there are apps and I'll

have the links for them or the description of the apps that you could

use where you could do a lot of calculations and a lot of different

things for your model railroad on there so check them out here we go Toms

Hi, guys! It's me Something_Skyes!

but yall can just call me Skyes

i finally drew a GOT7 member

well, if you followed me on Instagram you would know that I ve actually already drawn Jaebum and Mark...

link in bio

i really like drawing flower crowns, and Yugyeom was my bias for awhile

(my current bias is Youngjae so you don't have to ask)

and i love watercolor, so i mixed them all up and made this

Im gonna try to record everything I draw, but sometimes I can't because of location

there's just something about watching something being drawn really fast that satisfying, right?

just me? ok

And I added the sketching process this time!!!

that's my favorite part to watch

you watch simple lines become a picture...

oh, and flower crowns! Did i mention the flower crown?

i love drawing flower crowns, theyre so pretty

okay, now let's talk about Yugyeom

the precious baby of GOT7

LET ME HOLD YOUR HAND!!!~~~

sorry, I had to

any way, back to the baby (that's older than me but it doesn't matter, Im not calling him oppa)

I was drawn to him by his beautiful voice

there's just something about it. I want to say unique but I'm not sure if they're are others with a similar voice

I thought Jungkook's was unique, but apparently he has a typical Kpop guy voice...

this just shows I only know a small part of kpop

i'm in school for the next 9 months so I cant study up just yet

back to yugyeom!

he's also a great dancer

i never really cared about dancing until I saw him do it

and then I saw Jimin and cared even more

but this isnt about Jimin, this is about Yugyeomie

or at least I'll pretend it is. This is honestly about whatever I want it to be about

my channel, my rules

also, i'm currentlt taking requests

you can comment, or DM me on Instagram

oh, and Art Amino if you use it

well, that's enough for subtitles, it's 9pm and I have school tomorrow

feel free to like and subscribe for more amazing content

now just sit back relax and watch my hands draw Yugyeom~

Entrepreneurial Tips For Success - Duration: 6:12.

I'm doing something a little bit different in this video today I'm

stepping away from all my YouTube tech and strategy and I want to share with

you some lessons that I've learned after being an entrepreneur for almost two

years so I want to share with you my top business lessons for entrepreneurs hey

guys my name is Trena and welcome to another episode of just the tips if you

are new to my channel make sure you click that subscribe button down below

because I'm uploading new videos every single week to help you create a video

strategy for your business so just a quick background I started a job in an

office right out of college I worked in that office for almost exactly eight

years before I decided I can't do this anymore I wasn't happy the work wasn't

challenging and so I decided even though it paid grades had great benefits and

people thought I was nuts for leaving I left I decided to start my own business

helping people create YouTube videos I have a master's degree in business so I

understood the business side of it what's unfortunately there is no YouTube

course or YouTube major in college and so I took it upon myself to learn

everything I could about YouTube I took the YouTube creators courses podcast

read books watch videos just took in everything I could and then I started

testing it on my own channel trying strategies trying different things to

see what works on channels and what doesn't and that's led me to here

teaching you YouTube and helping you figure out how you can use YouTube in

your business strategy so let's jump into the lessons that I've learned first

there is no easy way to grow business there are no shortcuts it's a goes back

to that cliche phrase that rome wasn't built in a day if someone tells you that

if you buy their course or their program or you work with them you're going to

make six figures in five weeks I'm sorry it's not going to happen

there's no easy way to get there building a business takes time and it

doesn't happen overnight that person that's promising you these quick results

probably has been in business for quite some time to get to where they are and

so don't take the easy way out you got to actually work on your business the

second lesson I learned is get on video honestly it builds your credibility so

much faster and makes people remember you

longer and they're much more willing to refer you in facebook groups or to other

business friends who are looking for someone with your expertise

I was only in business for six months and I was already getting caught out in

facebook groups as the go-to video person people were referring me I was

getting business by referrals and it was all because I was on video I didn't

really focus my strategy on blog posts in social media but I was focusing on

creating videos for YouTube and since I based my entire business around video I

believe I was able to get further faster if you want to start getting on video

make sure you grab my channel checklist right here so you can set up your

YouTube channel and start getting your business on video to see the results I

saw the third lesson that I learned is teat teach whatever it is you know

you're obviously an expert in some field and you're trying to build a business on

something teach on that subject don't worry about giving away your best stuff

this definitely hurt me in the beginning I thought I needed to keep these things

to myself so that they bought from me and not give it away for free but

unfortunately most things you can already learn on the internet or on

youtube so if you're not giving them this tutorial or you're not teaching

them how to do it they're just going to go somewhere else so teach teach freely

ultimately they're going to learn that they like you and they want to buy from

you so when you do have a course or a program they're more likely to sign up

for you even though you gave away your content for free people end up wanting

everything wrapped up in a nice little package so instead of piecemealing all

of your content togethers they'll be much more willing to buy an entire

package with everything listed you know step by step the fourth lesson I learned

is social media is overwhelming and that you can decide to just focus on two or

three platforms and it won't be the end of the world I know if you decide you

don't want to be on Pinterest or Instagram you struggle with FOMO fear of

missing out but honestly focus on a couple platforms

well instead of doing all of them horribly I definitely experienced this

firsthand now I'm down to just focusing on Instagram Facebook into obviously

YouTube and what's great about these three platforms is that I will repurpose

my YouTube content on my Facebook and on my Instagram so I'm not really creating

a whole heck of a lot more content but I am

able to use my content effectively on these three platforms lesson number five

is be selective with the clients who take on I know you can be interesting to

get that first client and in that first paycheck so you're ready to take anybody

on but I really learned this the hard way you need to make sure your client

and you are going to be a good fit the first client I took on was so eager to

work with me ready to pay sign up right away

and then things fell apart I didn't really figure out where she was going

with video in YouTube and so we had our first call she cancelled the next one

didn't do any of the homework from the first call said video wasn't working for

her wanted her money back and just drama ensued after that so make sure you go

through some type of client process to decide if you two are going to work well

together or if your services are what they really need it will pay off and a

bonus lesson for you is to reach out to other business owners it can get lonely

sitting at your desk day in and day out by yourself so reach out to somebody

somebody you're following on Instagram or somebody you've ran into in facebook

groups and respond in their comments reach out to them ask them to have a

coffee date whether it's in person on phone or on skype it's just so

refreshing to talk to somebody that understands what you're going through

and to just socialize once in a while instead of being a hermit in your office

I would love to hear what lessons you've learned by being in business for

yourself let me know down in the comments below if you like this video be

sure to give it a thumbs up share it and click that circle subscriber button

right there because next week I'll be back to sharing tips and strategies on

how to use YouTube in your business strategy thank you so much for watching

JUST IN: NFL Star Breaks His Silence, Exposes Disgusting Democrat Racism | Top Stories Today - Duration: 3:28.

Football player, Benjamin Watson, had some choice words on the issue of abortion during

an interview with the Turning Point Pregnancy Resource Center in San Diego.

According to Life Site News, Watson discussed the fact that Planned Parenthood founder,

Margaret Sanger, created the organization as a means to marginalize the black community.

He said, "I do know that blacks kind of represent a large portion of the abortions,

and I do know that honestly the whole idea with Planned Parenthood and Sanger in the

past was to exterminate blacks."

He added, "And it's kind of ironic that it's working."

Watson went on to highlight the fact that minorities "overwhelmingly support the idea

of having Planned Parenthood and the like," even though Sanger founded the organization

as a way to exterminate black Americans.

Watson has a history of speaking out against abortion — his opposition to the practice

is motivated by his Christian faith.

According to Watson, he isn't the only football player who holds this opinion.

He indicated that he has had conversations with many other players who feel the same

way, even though they won't discuss the issue publicly because of its controversial

nature.

It is understandable that other players would be hesitant to speak out on a polarizing issue,

given the heated state of political discourse in the United States.

Watson agrees.

He stated that we have stopped "learning how to respectfully disagree with each other."

There are many who would disagree with Watson's comments.

Defenders of Planned Parenthood admit that Sanger believed in eugenics, but they deny

the notion that she specifically targeted black Americans.

However, when you consider the fact she hired black pastors to encourage their congregations

to get sterilized or take birth control, it is hard to dispute the racism at play.

The fact is, Margaret Sanger's objective was to decimate the black population in the

United States — and it is working.

Hispanics have now surpassed Black Americans as the largest minority in the country.

The Radiance Foundation's Ryan Bomberger revealed that, in New York City, "for every

1,000 black babies born alive, there are 1,100 aborted each year."

Additionally, the Center For Disease Control reported that 35% of babies aborted in 2013

were black.

What is ironic is the fact that most black Americans believe that abortion should be

legal.

This wasn't always the case — in the past, the majority of black Americans believed that

abortion was wrong, even though the abortion rate among black Americans was still high.

The Pew Research Center revealed that 62% of black Americans believe that abortion should

be legal in "all or most case."

The real tragedy is that black Americans are buying into the argument that abortion is

a positive practice.

The left has convinced them that abortion is about women's rights, not about preserving

life.

The black community is voting for political candidates who support a practice that ends

thousands and thousands of black lives each year.

Abortion has caused significant damage to the black community, and it won't stop until

black Americans stop believing the lies of the left.

A pro football player said the whole idea with Planned Parenthood and Sanger in the

past was to exterminate blacks.

Do you believe this was the case?

Vlog: Orthopedic Appointment - Unexplained Leg Pain 🤔 (8.8.17) [CC] - Duration: 11:36.

I have a couple appointments today, and I thought I'd bring you guys along.

Hey guys, today is Tuesday August 9th, I think.

8th?

Something like that.

And, I have a couple appointments today, and I thought I'd bring you guys along.

Um, The first one is my doctor, an orthopedic doctor to talk to me and look at my legs becuase

I've had leg pain my whole life that I was always dismissed as it being growing pains. But

since I'm 21 and I still deal with it on a weekly, sometimes several times a week basis,

and it really can cause a lot of problems.

Especially, with all my other problems.

I dont know.

My problems have problems. So, um, we're going to go there first and then I have Speech Therapy

this afternoon.

And tomarrow, I have an important appointment with a new cardiologist because my old cardiologist,

looked at my tilt table results that show I have POTS and said that they were normal.

And so I took it back to my family doctor, along with the diagnostic criteria.

He's like, "Okay let's send you somewhere else."

And, even like my chiropractor who does functional neurology is like yeah that definitely looks

like POTS.

So basically, this cardiologist that I was seeing was just not good.

But that's the thing, like a lot of them aren't educated on these conditions.

So, any who, going to a new guy tomorrow.

I'm going to get ready.

Nick's still asleep.

It's 9:30am and we have to be there at 11am.

But it's like a new place and I don't know where we're going so we're probably going

to leave at least at 10:30am, maybe a little earlier.

So, that's what's happening.

I'll check in with you guys later.

Mahala: Good morning.

Nick: Do you have to have the flash on?

Mahala: Uh yeah it doesn't show up.

It looked dark.

How's my family today?

Nick: Tired.

Mahala: Grumpy?

Nick: Mhmm.

Mahala: I think someone's grumpy.

Milo's not grumpy though.

Milo's a happy doggy.

Yeah.

Mahala: Hey guys!

So, we just are leaving the hospital, the hospital.

And, I'm unsurprisingly disappointed.

Nick: Unsurprisingly.

So, she's not suprised.

Mahala: But it's still frustrating.

So the orthopedic doctor that we saw for my leg pain basically said that he thinks it

must be some kind of nerve issue.

And that it's something higher up.

Is what he thinks.

And he said maybe seeing a neurologist or something.

So...

And his reason for that is because my joints move, and I have a decent amount of strength

in them. And so he said he doesn't think it's a muscle problem

or a bone problem.

Because my x-rays look good.

Soo . . .

He said that he doesn't think he's the right kind of doctor.

And he didn't know what POTS was.

Which is unsurprising.

Because you know, I took my rollator and he's like, "So why do you use this?"

So I explained that I get really close to fainting and need to sit down.

And the good news is he had like a medical student with him that was training or something.

My seat belt thing's going off. So he had a medical student training with him and I

said, "Have you heard of POTS?"

And he said, the orthopedic doctor said no.

And the medical student was explaining it to him.

So I was like yay, maybe we'll get some more educated people coming into the medical care system.

At least they're teaching about it, apparently.

So that's good news.

I still wonder if EDS [Ehlers Danlos Syndrome] isn't something to consider, because it would

pretty much explain like all of my problems.

I don't know.

I'll talke to my family doctor about it again and see what he thinks we should do.

And I'll try to look into stuff more.

If you guys have any suggestions of what else it could be, then that would be cool if you

would tell me those.

And I don't know.

I guess we're going to go the gas station and go home and then I have Speech Therapy later.

So, I'll check in with you guys in a little bit.

Hey guys!

So, since I last updated you, Nick and I went and got some lunch, and I took an hour nap.

And then I headed off to Speech Therapy.

And then I had to go pick up some perscriptions.

And I'm finally back home now.

It's 4:40 or something PM.

So, I'm just ready to be home.

It was rough.

When I was um trying to go in to Speech Therapy, I got a call from my doctor that I'm going

to see tomorrow to like pre-register, but it was like so hot sitting in the car, like

trying to talk to them.

And that just made me feel horrible.

I'm just glad to be back home.

Lay flat for awhile.

I usually feel better if I just lay flat for awhile.

And, I'll probably have to make some supper.

And maybe work on some videos, and maybe do some dishes.

So that's kinda my game plan.

But for now, I'm just going to chill out for a little bit.

But Speech Therapy has been going really well and it's been a really big help.

She also talked about how once I start school, we can kind of like go through my syllabuses,

syllabi, whatever they're called, and work out like more of a daily schedule with plenty

of time to rest and stuff.

And so, I think that's going to be really helpful.

Becuase one of the biggest things that I struggle with is getting overwelmed really easily.

And so, being able to sit down with her and organizing through that will be good.

As far as like you know, the leg pain thing going not well, I think I'm going to, maybe

do some more research and talk to my primary about possibly either going to a neurologist

to see more about nerve pain type issues, or going to a genetist to see if it could

be EDS or not.

So we'll see how it goes.

I have so many problems, it just seems like crazy that it's all unrelated, ya know.

But we'll see.

So that's what going on.

This is where Milo likes to lay.

Right in front of the door.

And then he just loves to lay here.

But, there he is.

I don't know.

I guess if that's what floats his boat.

I really like this screen that comes out on our backyard to let fresh air in.

You can't see this but it's a screen.

And it's like, really cool.

So.

Anyway.

Hey guys!

It is now like 8:00pm and I haven't done that much since I last talked to ya.

Um, I talked to a lot of people on the phone.

I caught up with my mom, my dad, left my brother a message, talked to my friend Rachael and

texted some people, I'm just in a talkative mood, ya know.

And, I've been working on my Speech Therapy homework to get that out of the way.

And i made some dinner.

So, we've got some rice and a microwaved burrito that is still brewing or cooking, whatever.

So, I'm gonna eat.

It's already eight something.

I'm going to eat and probably not do the dishes, but I might work on my videos still.

And, that's probably gonna be my night.

Thanks for watching.

If you like this video be sure to subscribe and give it a thumbs up.

And um, I'll see you guys next time.
