Waching daily Oct 13 2017

Hello!

Today I'll show you how to do such skirt.

It is double sided.

It may be weared by tulle inside, or outside.

So, for such skirt you'll need yarn.

I'm using the same yarn as I was using for a doll.

And the same size hook.

As well we'll need tulle.

Needle and scissors.

And a clasp.

I've bought such clasps in handmade shop.

I will work using this yarn, for a doll of a bigger size.

In the first row I'm doing 28 chains (ch) - it is a girth of a waist.

Loops should be devided by 4.

And additionally 5 chains for a clasp.

Leaving a long ending.

I'll use it later, for sewing the tulle.

And doing 28 + 5 = 33 chains (ch).

1...2...

3...

Done.

Row 2: doing 1 chain (ch).

And 33 single crochets (sc) into the second row from the hook.

Done.

Then in 3rd and 4th rows.

I'm doing a turn.

1 chain (ch).

And doing 33 single crochets (sc).

Into the second loop from the hook.

Working through the front of loops.

Done.

In 5th row - doing a turn.

And will work through the fron of the loops.

Doing 3 chains (ch).

Then doing 2 double crochets (dc) into the 4th loop from the hook.

Then 3 double crochets (dc).

All crochets are done through the front of the loops.

And then repeating 6 times:

3 double crochets (dc) into the single loop.

And 3 double crochets (dc).

Done.

Not doing 5 loops till the end of a row.

I'm leaving this piece for a clasp.

Then joining the circle.

Into the 3rd chain.

Here is a loop from crochet.

And this is needed chain.

All following loops I'll work through the back of loops.

Row 6: doing 3 chains (ch).

Then repeating 6 times:

3 double crochets (dc) into the single loop and 5 double crochets (dc).

3 double crochets (dc) done.

And doing 5 more.

Here are 3 double crochets (dc) in previous row - done into the single loop .

And in curent row I'll do 3 double crochets (dc) into the single loop - into this one, middle crochet.

Done.

At the end doing 3 double crochets (dc) into the single loop.

Then 4 double crochets (dc).

Doing a slip stitch (sl st) into the 3rd chain.

And all following rows I'll work through the back of loops.

At the middle crochet will work 3 double crochets (dc) into the single loop.

And in all other loops will do 1 double crochet (dc) per loop.

Here is a pattern.

I've alredy finished.

And will do 2 rows more, without increases.

Just doing 1 double crochet (dc) into each loop.

I.e. rows 13 and 14:

Doing 3 chains (ch)...

139 double crochets (dc).

And doing a slip stitch (sl st) at the end of a row.

Done.

Pull out the yarn, cutting it off.

Fix the yarn with a knot from a wrong side.

And not cutting off the yarn, I'll sew on tulle here.

Here...

and here...

We may sew such clasps.

Or put a metal ones.

Using such device.

Clasps and device I've bought on aliexpress website.

This yarn...

I'm passing to a wrong side.

Here.

And will sew on the tulle, into those loops.

I've folded the tulle twice.

And ironed this edge.

And cut the tulle, so it is a little bit longer than a skirt.

Now I'll sew it to those loops.

Picking the tulle few times with a needle.

And in such way sewing it to each loop.

Reached the end.

Fixing this ending with knots, and cutting it off.

Next, cutting off a tulle.

And fixing it here.

Using this ending.

And cutting the ending with knots, and cutting it off.

So, I've got such a skirt!

You may wear it in both ways - outside or inside tulle.

I hope that you like the tutorial.

Write in comments which clothes you would like to see in next tutorials.

We Made Spooky Halloween Treats ft. @pinksugaraustin - Duration: 12:18.

- Hey, Naturally Curly world, I'm Nikki.

- And I'm Evelyn.

- And we're here with our friend.

- I'm Shelesa from Pink Sugar Cupcakery.

- And today we're gonna be making some sweets,

because it's October, duh,

and you're gonna be throwing a killer,

spooky Halloween party.

- And don't nobody want those dusty, crusty, dry,

store-bought cupcakes. - No.

- So, today we're gonna be making these red velvet,

blood-splattered cupcakes with glass shards,

and these vampire kiss cookies.

- Well, let's get started. - Let's.

- So, for the red velvet cupcakes, what are we using?

- Okay, we're gonna be using some unsalted butter,

some white granulated sugar, two eggs, cake flour mix,

this is dutch process cocoa powder,

a little red food coloring,

pure vanilla extract and buttermilk.

So first, we're gonna take the cocoa powder

and the red food coloring,

and we're gonna mix them together

because red velvet cake is just--

- Chocolate and red food coloring!

I knew that already! (laughs)

- She didn't know that.

- Okay, so, we're gonna mix these two together

to make a paste,

and it's gonna react with the buttermilk later on

and make us a nice, pretty red color.

You can mix that.

- How much food coloring was that?

- You know, it's an eyeball.

But it really, literally is like two ounces.

- Okay.

- But I just can eyeball it now.

While she mixes that into a paste,

we're gonna cream the butter, sugar, and eggs on the mixer.

- Awesome. I'll take the eggs.

Do these have to be room temperature?

- Yes, everything, room temperature.

- Get your eggs, two of them.

- And this is a half a stick of unsalted butter.

- And this is two cups of granulated sugar.

- Sugar!

- All right, so we're gonna go cream this

in the electric mixer?

- Yes. - We'll be back!

(fun Halloween music)

- All right, so we have our red velvet cake batter.

You guys did amazing. - Thank you. (laughs)

- We creamed our butter, and our sugar, and our eggs,

and we added our red velvet paste to it, that Nikki made,

and then we added our flour and our buttermilk,

and now we're gonna add the vanilla extract.

- Cool. So how much of that do we add?

- We're gonna add a tablespoon.

Pure vanilla extract.

- A tablespoon-- Not vanilla flavoring!

- Uh-uh!

- Real extract. - Pure.

- Just fill it all up.

- Ooh. - Flavorful!

See that flavor profile there?

- Flavor profile? (laughs)

- That's what they say.

- So, we're just gonna fold this in

until it's well incorporated.

All right, I think that's it,

and then we'll start scooping this

into the cupcake tin and our liners.

So, we're gonna scoop, and we wanna get about half a scoop.

And then we just wanna dump it in.

- Okay. - Beautiful.

- All right, so we're gonna finish this up and then...

- We're gonna bake them at 350 for about 18 minutes

until you can stick a fork in the middle and it's clean.

- Okay, so now that we have our red velvet cupcakes

in the oven baking,

we're gonna get started on the cookie dough

for our vampire kiss cookies.

So how do we get that started?

- We're gonna start with one cup of butter,

and the powdered sugar, which is also one cup,

and we're gonna cream those together with the egg.

And then we're gonna add in our flour,

salt, and vanilla bean paste.

(fun Halloween music)

So, then you just get a little flour on your hands,

and that keeps it from sticking,

and you just push it all together

until it comes together as a dough.

And if it's sticky anywhere,

you just sprinkle a little flour on it.

- I just do that.

- You just keep pushing it into itself,

and eventually it makes a ball.

Wanna share?

- (laughs) We'll share. Okay, Mom!

- You do like this till it comes together?

So then we take it, you know, like this,

on our parchment paper.

And I put a little bit more flour just so it won't stick.

And we're gonna need to roll it out.

And now we're gonna take our cookie cutter.

And we're gonna cut out some lips,

for our vampire kiss cookies.

- And how long have you been whipping up treats?

- Professionally? - Uh-huh.

- Total about four years.

It started off as a really accidental hobby.

- What you do mean an accident?

- Watching Cake Boss, and I was like

"I can do that!"

And it was my mom's birthday, and I couldn't do it.

I spent the next year teaching myself how to do it.

- And then people started requesting my work.

So from there a lot of YouTube university.

- Yes, we believe in that. - And here we are.

Now we're gonna bake them for about eight minutes at 375.

- Awesome.

(fun Halloween music)

- Okay, so our cookies are out of the oven, they are cooled,

and now we're gonna decorate our vampire kisses.

- Yes.

- All right, so y'all made royal icing off camera.

And there are plenty of royal icing recipes

that you can follow, but do not use water.

Use egg white to thin your icing to the right consistency.

- Nice.

- So we have different colors and different consistencies,

so take us through that.

- We've got white piping and white flooding consistency,

for teeth, and then we've got red piping

and red flooding consistency for the lips,

and then we've got a paintable black

for the background of the mouth

to give it that extra spookiness.

- Yes, so we're gonna paint all the cookies

with the black royal icing.

- And we're just dip it in,

and we're just gonna brush the middle of the cookie,

from corner to corner.

Not the whole cookie, just like where the mouth is.

- Okay.

- And we want this to be thin so it will dry really fast,

so we can go on.

So we're gonna get our piping consistency red,

and I use a tipless bag that I cut the tip off of

just to make it enough for me to make a line.

So I'm gonna use even pressure,

and I'm starting in the corner,

and I'm just gonna outline the cookie.

Like this-- and if it messes up like that, don't worry.

- That red is so vivid!

- So it's lined, and now we're gonna flood it,

or fill it in.

- Yeah, so this consistency is looser.

- Yes, way more liquidy, way more spreadable.

So, we're just gonna trace it.

- Wow, wow, wow.

- And fill it in.

- Magic.

- You don't have to get it all they way to the edge

because we're gonna use our bamboo skewers.

- Ooh, detail work! - That's what that's for!

- And you're just gonna push the icing,

we're not touching the cookie,

I'm just touching the top of the icing

and pushing it toward my outlines.

- Oh! - Wow, artistry!

- So then, after you do that, you just let this dry,

you go do all the top lips for the other ones,

and then we'll go back and do teeth.

We're doing everything like in a--

- In a batch. - In a batch.

- So, all the top lips... - Yes.

(fun Halloween music)

- All right, so we just put the icing (laughs)

on the lips of the vampire kisses.

Some people got that big Kylie Jenner lip. (laughs)

Mine came out pretty well.

So what's next?

- So now we're gonna add the teeth.

(fun Halloween music)

- So that's that!

- So then, we'll let these set up.

We'll go through, do this batch of teeth,

and then we'll go and fill in the other teeth.

- All right!

- Y'all think y'all can do it?

(Nikki and Evelyn laugh) - We'll try!

And then afterwards we just do the bottom lip,

and then we're done?

- And then we're done.

(fun Halloween music)

- All right, so. Cookies? Done.

- Done. - Done.

- Cupcakes?

- Almost done. - Almost done.

Okay, so we'll these out so we can display them.

Cause they're really hard to get out

if you decorate them in the tin.

- Right.

- All right, so we got some cream cheese Swiss meringue

(laughs) buttercream here with a round tip.

- We got some Swiss what?

- Swiss meringue buttercream.

- Swiss meringue, wow.

- Which is a lot different than American buttercream.

You know, American buttercream that you get

on your Wal-Mart, your HEB cakes,

it's made with shortening and it's really,

really sweet and it crusts.

This buttercream is really silky smooth,

light and airy, because we make it into a meringue first

with egg whites, and then we add our sugars,

and our flavors, and cream cheese.

So, we're gonna start to pipe this this cupcake,

we're just gonna start here

and we're just gonna swirl it up.

- You got it Nikki, right?

- Yeah, girl, I can do this! (laughs)

- So you start towards the middle,

push it out, swirl it up.

- Yeah, like it a little marshmallow!

- A little dollop. - It's looks easy!

- Go ahead, girl!

- All right! You said to start here?

- Yeah, you're gonna squeeze and move at the same time.

- Squeeze and move...

- Girl! - Wow!

(laughing)

- That's pretty good!

Just a little bit more pressure

and you can use our other hand

to push the tip where you want it go.

- Okay.

- Yes.

- Oh, wow!

(laughting)

- Okay, my turn?

Get it all tight, and then...

And I got weak wrists, so...

- Oh, okay, this is looking good!

- Ooh! (laughing)

That is a creative dollop.

- It's like a little turd,

but you know, it's all good!

- That's the dollop.

(fun Halloween music)

- Okay, all right, all right, all right!

- Okay, that is--

- Really nicely iced. Really nice.

- So we're gonna keep doing this.

- I'll just ice these real quick, and you guys--

The icing we used earlier

on our vampire kiss cookies to flood,

we're gonna use that same icing

to do our blood splatter.

(fun Halloween music)

So we've got our sugar shards.

This is cooked sugar that I smoothed on a baking sheet.

So now we're just gonna take these

and out them in the cupcakes.

- Ooh, lethal.

- So they look extra lethal and frightful, and delightful.

(fun Halloween music)

- We're done! - We did it.

- Happy Halloween! (laughs) - Happy Halloween!

- It's a lot of work,

but if you don't have the time to do all that,

and you want some beautiful cookies

for your next Halloween party,

go ahead and get yourself the Box from Pink Sugar Cupcakery.

Stossel: Baby Salmon Threatened? - Duration: 5:03.

EPA staffers were shocked to receive this email

obtained exclusively by CNN.

Which says "we have been directed by the

administrator to withdraw the restrictions"

The proposed protection of that pristine area

was being removed

Oh no,

that pristine area,

filled with these gorgeous salmon

will be obliterated by a mine!

At least that's the impression you'd get watching

CNN's 2 part "exclusive."

I would have believed it except

I happen to have reported on that mine as part of a

special for Fox on the green tyranny

pursued by today's rich environments.

The proposed Pebble mine is

a disaster waiting to happen.

That ad comes from one of America's

richest environmental groups,

the NRDC,

the National Resources Defense Council.

Imagine this natural paradise destroyed.

The environmental groups ran these ads,

they made people believe on TV that everything

was going to die.

The truth, it turns out,

is that the mine

would not even be on Alaska' Bristol Bay.

The proposed mine, would not even be 10 miles away,

or 20 miles, or even 50 miles.

It would be 100 miles away!

Did CNN mention that?

No.

Never.

Instead, CNN made EPA director Scott Pruitt

look evil by suggesting that right after a

meeting with the mine's boss,

he gave the mine the go-ahead.

He made that decision

without a briefing from any

of EPA's scientists or experts.

What?

Shocking!

Without consulting scientists,

Pruitt's going to let a company massacre these fish.

But in fact, he hadn't given the mine a green light.

He's simply allowing

them to submit an official proposal.

Obama's EPA had rejected the mine

before it even looked

at an environmental impact statement.

That's unheard of.

The EPA normally asks for that environmental research,

examines it, and then

accepts or rejects it.

It doesn't reject things without looking at them.

Pruitt's allowing the review process to go forward

was proper.

CNN's reporter did at least speak with the mine's CEO,

although he sneered at the boss's

reaction to the decision.

"It comes with no apologies"

"And do you think it was not wrong"

"that Mr. Pruitt did not even"

"look at the work even done?"

"It's not a science decision. It's a process decision"

This looks like the head of a gold mine

went into a new administrator and got him to reverse

what an entire department has worked on for years…"

The reporter was accurate there.

The entire department had worked on killing that mine

for years.

They had colluded with zealots

and environmental groups.

Lots of those people want no mines

built anywhere.

Don't believe me?

Listen to my interview with their spokesman.

There's some mines where NRDC says,

great, go ahead?

Well, it's not up to us.

Are there any?

It's not up to us to

green light mines, but what we do is...

Are there any you don't complain about?

Yeah, sure.

We asked him for some names,

we're still waiting.

CNN also made claims like this:

The mine could potentially create a footprint

bigger than the island of Manhattan

and nearly as deep as the Grand Canyon

according to the EPA.

It could.

But it won't.

The actual Pebble proposal is much smaller.

Pebble's CEO is not some monster destroyer of the Earth.

He's a Democrat who ran

environment policy for Bill Clinton and Al Gore.

CNN never mentioned that either.

Instead, the reporter called him:

"A guy who wants to mine gold

in an area that many scientists believe

will destroy one of

the most pristine sock eye salmon sporting grounds

in the whole world?

What am I missing?"

"What you're missing is that if they're right

then we won't get a permit."

Right.

But explaining that now the mine must

begin the EPA's long and detailed environmental review

wouldn't fit CNNs theme:

evil Trump appointee

ravages the environment.

We asked CNN,

why didn't you mention that,

and that the mine would be 100 miles away?

They didn't get back to us.

If environmental zealots and their sycophants

in the media get their way,

America will be a place with no mining,

No new pipelines.

No oil drilling.

No… new…anything!

People used say "NIMBY."

You can build, just not in my backyard.

Now it's BANANA.

Build-absolutely-nothing-anywhere-near anybody.

Visita a um mercado de pulgas dinamarquês - Duration: 3:51.

Today, I'm in the city of Farum, about 30 minutes from Copenhagen.

The first Saturday of every month, there is a flea market organized by the local scout troop.

Here, people can buy all kinds of things at low prices.

Right here, you can see for yourself that the prices are really good!

The interesting thing is that everything you can buy here, has been donated to the scout troop.

Denmark is a country with very few poor people.

Most people in Denmark have enough money to live a good life

...and many Danes give away the things they don't need anymore.

The people who prepare and carry out the flea market are all volunteers,

...which means, they do it for free.

Many of them are retired, and they participate in this organization for social reasons,

... to meet other people and have a good time together.

In Denmark, it can be very difficult to meet other people,

...because Danes generally are very closed and reserved compared to Brazilians for example.

So, here at this monthly flea market, you can buy clothes,

...shoes,

...toys,

...furniture,

...kitchenware,

...electronics like computers, TVs and video-and audio-equipment,

...tools,

...music and films,

...musical instruments,

...art, sometimes even expensive art,

And what I find most interesting: books

They have around 15000 books here, and all of them are in a good state.

Some of them look completely new.

And the prices are amazing: One book normally costs between 10-30 Danish Kroner,

...which in Brazilian money is between 5 and 15 Reais.

If you buy a new book in a bookstore in Denmark, it normally costs between 100 and 300 Kroner.

At this market, it's easy to find interesting cookbooks, novels, language books,

...history books, travel guides and much more.

And if you want to take a break, you can enjoy a hot tea or a coffee for free.

Another interesting thing is that you can pay everything with a smartphone app called Mobilepay.

Mobilepay is a free app and it gives you the possibility to transfer money quickly and easily

...to other people, if they also have the app.

You just insert the receiver's phone number and send the desired amount.

Then the money goes directly from your bank account (via your debit card)

...to the receiver's bank account in about 1 second.

Really nice!!

The organization makes a lot of money with the flea market,

...so what happens with the money they make?

Half of it goes to the local scout group, and the other half goes to charity projects,

in Denmark and in developing countries, for example in Uganda and India.

I like the fact that old things can be reused and don't turn into garbage,

...and that it also generates money that is used for good purposes.

This was my first time at the flea market in Farum, and probably not my last!

Press the "like" button if you like this video, and write a comment below

...about what you like or don't like about the video and the flea market.

Do you have something like this where you live?

If not, do you think it would be possible to have it in Brazil?

Thanks for watching, guys, and SEE YOU NEXT TIME!!
