8 Weird Traits of the INFJ Personality Type

In this video I'm going to share with you 8 weird traits about INFJ personality type

you should know.

If you find this information is helpful to you, make sure to like this video and subscribe

1.

All-or-nothing syndrome

Love fiercely, or not at all; exercise relentlessly and eat well, or pig out on the sofa and eat

junk food; work 20 hours a day for days on end, or sit and procrastinate all weekend

like it's no one's business.

Doing the middle of the road seems not their type, at least not for any appreciable length

of time.

INFJs are simply wired to do things "with Passion or not at all".

Middle of the road feels like a stagnant approach to living, It seems bland, uneventful, uninspiring.

No room for development.

No opportunity to go off the beaten track in search of your own path.

2.

The inability to settle

This is related to the all-or-nothing syndrome.

INFJs are searching for the "one," although not necessarily in the romantic sense (although

that still applies), but in the sense of a life mission.

INFJs seem to be on an eternal quest to find an endeavor or field of work that gives us

that feeling of contributing to the greater good, of helping others, or of creating a

legacy.

When settling into an occupation or project, if they are not feeling it, they invariably

move on.

They would rather escape and look for something else than pursue something that doesn't

stir up any emotion within.

3.

Perfectionism

If something doesn't go as planned, or if people let them down, then the initial passion

for the project wanes.

Often, people or companies just don't live up to their expectations and disappointment

sets in.

Going from project to project, vision to vision, but seemingly unable to realize those visions

and in turn struggle to make a living.

Wrong people, wrong time.

If things doing good, they will see the positive lesson needed to learn from those experiences.

4.

Solitude vs. friendship

Given the INFJ's Extroverted Feeling (Fe) nature, this seems somewhat of a contradiction.

They have the need to develop intimate ties; they crave deep and meaningful relationships.

Ones that inspire, motivate, and sustain the growth of both parties.

In order to develop that degree of closeness, intimacy, and freedom, a lot of time or energy

needs to be expended.

And therein lies the problem.

If they have a friend or partner, they want to be able to give them their all, so anyone

outside that small circle usually gets relegated to "acquaintances."

If they can't give their best to any one, they'd rather not to give at all.

5.

Full of contradiction

The INFJ's Ni/Fe functions are also great for mirroring and adapting to different environments

and people, so they can appear vastly different in different scenarios.

They can be the life of the party amongst those who "get" them, but come across

as painfully shy, solitary, and quiet to others.

They can fit in when they want, but more often than not, they rebel fiercely.

6.

Writers not talkers

They have difficulty talking on the spot, on the phone, and in person, but when it comes

to writing, they can often knock out masterpieces.

No wonder there are a disproportionate number of INFJ writers.

We can mumble, splutter, stutter or just be plain mute.

In writing, their ideas seem to flow effortlessly, although they have to reread several times

and tweak often before they are happy with their writing.

What might be the reason for this?

I think it boils down to time: they have the ability to see many different possibilities,

eventualities, and gray areas in a given scenario.

Their Ni also means they live inside their heads.

So they may have several conversations going on at once, arguments even.

And all this internal cacophony serves to create a bottleneck, which they have to verbalize.

Sometimes it spews out in such a random fashion that it makes no sense.

Yet when writing, they have the time to sit down, process the influx of ideas, then refine

them until they come across eloquently and succinctly.

Their writing brings order to their mind's chaos and allows others to understand it.

7.

Seeing the big picture and the details

This can be a good trait if they are balanced.

However, given their contradictory, all-or-nothing nature, it can be an ongoing challenge.

As visionaries, INFJs see the big picture and play out scenarios from any given circumstance

to its logical conclusion.

But they also have the ability to delve into the minutiae of a project, which can help

realize that vision.

The problem arises when they stay at one extreme or the other, which fails to drive the project

forward.

8.

Dot connectors.

Visionaries.

Doers.

For all the issues INFJs experience, one great things they have is that they are compassionate

visionaries and doers.

They may not finish every project or realize their perfectionistic vision for it, but they

almost always give it a go.

If they have the passion for an idea, and it will serve others, then endeavor to accomplish

it and make a difference to at least one person.

Well, that's 8 weird traits of the infj personality type.

this is I'm guessing this is the energy put out by cars now we do have a little

signal pole right there we it so I am getting some readings

here we've got some trucks coming hang on we've got some trucks coming I'm

sitting here on Benton Boulevard

let's see let's see the readings when the trucks go by

it appears to me to be the traffic the traffic is actually increasing as an

electromagnetic field along with it as well

so now there's a little lul in the traffic it slows down some you see that

and so that so it actually starts reading the trucks before they even get

Ann Arbor City Council Takes a Knee During Pledge of Allegiance. - Duration: 2:58.

Ann Arbor City Council Takes a Knee During Pledge of Allegiance.

Four Ann Arbor city council members choose to take a knee instead of standing for the

Pledge of Allegiance which opened a meeting on Monday.

Taking a knee in protest during the national anthem has spread from the NFL to colleges

and high schools across the country.

Ann Arbor city council opens meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance, and some council

members choose to join in on the player protest.

Chip Smith, 5th Ward; Chuck Warpehoski, 5th Ward; Sumi Kailasapathy, 1st Ward; and Jason

Frenzel, 1st Ward all joined in on the protest.

Chuck Warpehoski wrote on his website that he choose to kneel out of "attention, concern,

and respect."

Warpehoski seems to think that standing with a hand placed over one's heart doesn't

meet those needs.

Warpehoski wrote on his website:

I can't speak to what is in each person's heart, but for me to "take a knee" is

an act of attention, of concern, and of respect.

And it is in that spirit that I take a knee at tonight's City Council meeting: out of

respect for the aspiration that we be a nation "with liberty and justice for all," with

full attention that we fall short of that ideal in many ways, and with humble dedication

to continue to work that the promise of the pledge may be fulfilled.

Not every Council member gave reasons for kneeling which are already met by standing

at attention.

Kailasapathy said the protest was done to show "solidarity with the group of people

who have been doing this at the national level."

She is obviously referring to NFL players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.

The Washington Free Beacon reports: Kailasapathy said during the meeting that

she was kneeling for the pledge in order to demonstrate she was committed to upholding

Democratic values.

"For me, taking a knee is also showing solidarity with the group of people who have been doing

this at the national level," she said.

The demonstrations reflect the NFL national anthem protests that began last year.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick began kneeling during the national

anthem last season in order to draw attention to racial injustice.

Some other players in the NFL followed suit, but it didn't become a national phenomenon

until late September of this year after President Donald Trump said NFL owners should not tolerate

kneeling during the national anthem.

He went on to say that if a player kneels, they should "get that son of a bitch off

the field."

Ann Arbor's City Council chose to resist President Trump's assessment that such protests

disrespect the flag and the country.

City Council members have every means of spreading their reasons for protest without disrespecting

the flag, but they instead decided to get down on the floor in order show demonstrate

their "attention."

Can City Council in Ann Arbor think of no better way to promote "attention" than

protesting the Pledge of Allegiance at their own meetings?

"My Story" - Duration: 4:30.

I'm here today to tell you my story

and what the scholarship means to me...

When my mom was my age, she was really sick.

and doctors told her

she would never be able to have kids...

...Surprise!

(Laughter)

..and..

...the unfortunate side of that was she had me at a

really young age...actually, my age (19) and...

..and..that wasn't...

Sorry...

So I, I grew up in an apartment complex

outside of Third Ward. I don't know if

...in Texas, it's a really poor area. They have

gang initiations outside and...

..my parents are lucky to be alive..

..my parents tell me stories today of the

things that they did to have food on the table,

to have a roof over my head, to make sure that I had

a decent education, and every possible door open

for me and my little sister as possible.

And despite all of that, my mom still completed her

degree at the University of Houston as a chemist...

(Applause)

She's... she's an incredible lady.

I.. I love her so much.

I'm so proud of her.

I wish she could be here.

So... she landed a job in the oil field...

which... doesn't have a lot of women in there...

(Mhm.)

(Yeah.)

...and we lived a really good life for a long time...

..and we went to one of the best high schools

- public high schools in the nation

in Pearland, Texas..

..and...

So I started saving up money for college...

..at the beginning of high school.

Over the summers,

..well, okay, I always worked full time at Chick-Fil-A...

(Laughter)

..that was ..fun..

..not my pleasure.

(Laughter.)

..over the summers

I... it's too dramatic to say that I worked three jobs,

but - so, I worked at Chick-Fil-A in the morning,

and then I would get home, get out of my clothes,

and I would go babysit in the afternoons,

and then I also had a...

.. a third income where...

I... I have a talent for Photoshop and helping...

..with digital photography, so I would fix people's

photos in the evenings when I got home,

so literally all my parents got was a "Good morning" and

a "Good night," from me, and then that was all

they ever heard from me

..especially the summer that I was doing my

Gold Award Project because on weekends, I would work on that.

Then, oil prices dropped last year.

..my mom got laid off..

..and all the money I had saved up..

..went toward helping my family..

...sorry, I'm a sensitive cry baby..

(Laughter)

(Aww.)

...I...

...yeah, I didn't know what I was going to do.

I landed a job as a research assistant

at the University of Houston.

But it wasn't...

It was too late.

I didn't know what I was going to do.

I tried to fill out a FAFSA

for my situation...

but they were only accounting for last year's

..stuff... for my mom's income last year.

So I sent a petition, but it wasn't going to go through

until.. actually, this month.

(Laughter)

So...

I didn't know what I was going to do and then I

got a call this summer from the sweetest lady ever..

Her name is Camie. She's...

..she's back there somewhere-

There she is!

She was like, "I just wanted to

..congratulate you on... you're a National Young Woman

of Distinction!" and...

I kinda sat there for a second and the first thing

that came to my mind was...

"Why???"

(Laughter)

"Why me?"

She laughed and she said,

"..I've never gotten that question before."

(Laughter)

..and all I could muster at the time was,

"Can I...?"

and she's like, "Yes, you can cry."

So I sobbed.

(Laughter)

My life has changed forever...I...

Thank you...

..for all of this.. the convention..

..for the gifts. It's really been a surreal experience.

I feel so spoiled.

Thank you all for that.

(Applause)
