Waching daily Oct 19 2017

now after cutting the yarn here and you might ask how come I just didn't go on

down and that's because it made the head look too lopsided so and maybe want to

lopsided it that's up to you if you want to do it that way but what I'm going to

do is be working across thirteen stitches across the center here so I

Teresa: just like to have an idea and kind of count and eyeball it one two three four

five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve thirteen Teresa: so right about here that

looks pretty good so I'm going to attach it right here like that work a chain one

now I'm going to work right over this previous strand like that and work

across 13 1 2 3 4 5 6 8 9 12 13 now I'm going to turn and I'm gonna cut this off

because it's just gonna be in my way work a chain 4 skip one single crochet

work a double crochet in the next chain one skip a single crochet work a double

crochet in the next chain one we will do this for a total of 7 times and this is

going to be the creepy-looking mount we've completed 3 4 5 6 and so this is

what it looks like right now at this point we're going to turn work a chain 4

and then work a double crochet chain 1 in each stitch across that's number 2 3

4 5 6 and right here on the edge I had to crochet through the chain because the

first chain counted as my first double crochet with a chain one I'm going to

turn and then work a single crochet in the double

crochet single crochet in the space and do this all the way across with a single

crochet in the double crochet and a single crochet in the space and then

when I get here to this the last chain I'm going to work for single crochet now

we're working up the side and then I'm working to through the side here and

then I will just be working one single crochet and I'm working them very very

loosely around the whole head

now I'm down here and I'm going to work one more row of single crochet across

the bottom and then when I get over here then I'm working a slip stitch here on

the side and this is where I will end thank you guys for watching this segment

What is China buying in Australia? | CNBC Explains - Duration: 4:36.

Australia is a hugely popular place

for Chinese investors.

They're investing heavily into

real estate and infrastructure projects.

Just take a look around here,

it's not hard to find China's money

flowing into Australia.

From major ports to landmark buildings

and large sections of Australia's farmlands,

Chinese investors are buying at a rapid rate.

Here in Sydney, this building

which is home to the Australian stock exchange

was recently purchased.

The buyer?

A billionaire from Hong Kong known to be

one of China's largest toy manufacturers.

Then there's Australia's massive ports.

A group of funds backed by Chinese investors

agreed to buy the nation's busiest port,

located in Melbourne, for more than $7 billion.

Australia's agriculture sector has also

caught the eyes of Chinese investors.

The biggest importers of Australian wine

used to be the U.S. and the U.K.

just a few years ago.

Today, it's China.

And now some of China's biggest wine makers

are buying up large vineyards with

the intent of selling the wine that's produced here

directly into China.

In 2016, Australian wine exports to China

surged 40 percent.

And wine only scratches the surface.

China's investment in Australia's agricultural sector

has gone from $300 million to more

than a billion dollars in just one year.

The shift is being driven by China's booming

middle class which has high demand for things

like produce, meats, dairy and minerals.

One specific example: baby formula.

After outbreaks in China from tainted infant formula,

the product has been flying off the shelves in Australia.

Why?

Millions of Chinese trust

"Made in Australia" much more.

And consider this, more than 17 million babies

were born in China just last year.

Some Chinese tourists are snatching up

as much formula as they can

to sell it for a premium back on the Mainland.

Many stores now have a limit on

the amount you can buy.

Perhaps no sector in Australia though,

is being more impacted than housing.

Home prices in Sydney have nearly doubled

since the global financial crisis.

In Melbourne, they're up a 84 percent.

Which could be nice if you bought a home before then,

but for first time home buyers,

it's practically devastating.

And that's caused what's now known as

Australia's housing affordability crisis.

In New South Wales,

the Australian state where Sydney is located in,

foreign buyers are acquiring

a quarter of new property supply.

And Chinese buyers account for

87 percent of foreign demand.

After China, it's buyers from New Zealand,

accounting for just 1.6 percent.

And it makes sense.

Buying an entire home here

is often more affordable than buying

an apartment in some of China's biggest cities.

The median apartment price for Beijing

is more than $800,000.

While Sydney is under $620,000.

But, of course, neither China nor Australia

is particularly pleased about this trend.

And both governments have been implementing

higher taxes in an effort to slow it down.

Not only has Chinese money

surged home prices in Australia,

but in some cases there's even

been concern over national security.

Australia's federal government recently

blocked the sale of the nation's largest electric grid,

after a Chinese and Hong Kong holdings company

attempted to purchase a controlling stake.

The government bowed to pressure

from opponents of the deal,

who said they were giving away

control of their power grid to another country.

The outflow of cash from China has prompted

Chinese authorities to announce new regulations

for investing money outside of the country.

New South Wales has doubled taxes

on foreign buyers to 8 percent

of the purchase price.

But here's the thing.

Government initiatives have

hardly slowed down demand.

Why?

Well, there are a lot of millionaires in China.

And their wealth is growing at a much faster pace

than the total value of Australia's housing market.

The combined wealth of all of China's millionaires

was only slightly more than the entire value

of Australia's housing market back in 2011.

But, today, China's millionaires are worth twice as much.

And that gap is only expected to continue.

Meaning China's massive surge in wealth

makes it only more likely that China will

continue buying up assets in Australia.

How To Make Video Marketing Work For You - Sharing Tips - Duration: 5:19.

YouTube is a business model in its own right and it's geared to sharing great

value with its viewers. It encourages businesses - large and small - to advertise

(to generate ad revenues for itself, of course) and rewards those video creators

that encourage viewers to watch more videos, and for longer. And the main way

YouTube measures the value a video is providing its viewers, is the average

length of time a video is watched i.e. its average watch time. The greater the

average watch time, the more socially engaging it is deemed to be by YouTube - and

the higher the video ranks. Now, there's two aspects to this. There's the video

creators sharing valuable information with viewers, and then the viewers

sharing that valuable content with their own network of contacts. So how can we

turn these shares, and the process of sharing, into warm leads with video

marketing? Hi, my name is Jeff Laming of Video Cashflow and in this video I'll

briefly explain the link between social media shares and how to direct that

sharing to YouTube videos for the benefit of your business. One of the keys

to getting your name out there is to continually attract new followers, and

this is where all of the social media platforms enable you to attract "likes",

"pins", "subscribers" and so on. You could collectively call them "acknowledgments".

Before I explain further, if this is the first time you're watching a Video Cash

flow video and you like what you see, hear and read, please click the

Subscribe button at the bottom of this video so you can get access to more

video marketing and business videos on a weekly basis. Therefore, YouTube is

ideally placed for your videos to attract these social "acknowledgments"

However, where social media works to the benefit of your videos listed on YouTube

is that a social share can alert people on Twitter, Facebook and so on to the

existence of your video.....on YouTube. But social sharing doesn't stop there. You

see, it's only when people watch and comment on your videos i.e. they engage does your

video benefit by being ranked higher on YouTube and Google. In other words, the

social shares on social media don't really count for anything

unless people are being directed to your video on YouTube - where "likes", "comments",

"subscribes" and an increase in the average watch time DO count. Take

videos on Facebook - these get more exposure than static images and text-based

posts -so you're going to get more "likes", "comments" and social engagement. The

trick though is to somehow direct those Facebook video viewers ((and those on

other social media platforms) to your YouTube channel and YouTube videos or to

your website and landing pages. In the previous video we recognized that both

YouTube and Facebook are social sharing sites. Facebook is recognized to be the

largest of the social media platforms. That's not to say that the other

social media platforms are to be ignored. And the great thing about all the major

social media platforms is that videos can be shown on all of them. Just one more

thing about YouTube - your videos will stay on YouTube for years to come (unlike

on other social media sites) and if a video shares great value adding content

with viewers and those viewers continually share that video with

colleagues, friends etc do you think it will make life better a little bit easier

for when you go to recommend a product or service to buy (whether that's your

own product or and affiliate's)? So when spending your time on social media try

and think a bit more strategically when it comes to sharing your content.

Remember, you're no longer engaging in social chit-chat with friends, family and

complete strangers. You are now running an online business. And because of that,

there has to be a purpose to your social media posts, because your business model

will be geared towards making sales. You see, the power of video is that it

attracts, engages, educates and directs viewers via calls to action to your

website or landing pages as quickly as possible to give you the opportunity to

convert them into buyers. And in the next video, we'll be highlighting how video

marketing turns those warm leads and potential buyers

into tangible and measurable results. Thanks for watching. I hope you found

this video useful. Look out for another video on video marketing and YouTube

coming your way next week. And if you like this video please click the "Like"

button underneath the video; feel free to Share the video with friends, family,

business colleagues and associates. And by all means leave a comment or ask a

question in the Comments section also underneath the video And don't forget to hit

the subscribe button if you'd like more videos on video marketing and business

tips, tactics, techniques and strategies that could help you with your own online

business. Until the next time, bye for now....
