5 Ways Introverts Can Use Body Language to Feel Confident

Everyone agreed that body language is one of the powerful communication tool, and we

often used it whether we realize or not.

However, many people thought that they have to be extroverted to use body language freely,

which is really impossible for introverts.

This is not really the case though, for introverts who don't say much, body language can be

especially useful.

Introverts can master body language and nonverbal behavior to strengthen their interactions

and gain confidence.

So in this video, I'm going to share with you how introverts can use body language to

feel confident.

If you find this information is helpful to you,

make sure to like this video and subscribe to this channel, so you won't miss any of

our interesting updates in the future!

1.

Body Language And Emotions

Body language is not just about how you appear on the outside.

It is also about how you feel.

Researcher Amy Cuddy from Harvard Business School found that standing in power poses

for five minutes can increase your testosterone, the power hormone and lower your cortisol,

the stress hormone.

So changing your body to be more powerful not only helps other people see you as powerful

and confident, but also makes you feel more powerful and confident.

2.

Take Up Space

One of the basic concepts of Power Posing is to take up more space in your environment.

This helps you claim territory and assert your confidence.

So instead of crossing your legs or tucking in your shoulders and head, try being expansive.

Keep your head high, your shoulders loose, sit larger in your chair and walk with long

strides.

3.

Don't Cross Your Arms

Defeated or low power poses lower your testosterone levels and increase your stress hormone cortisol.

So avoid crossing your arms and tightly crossing your legs.

Keep your trunk wide open to people around you.

Remember, this shows you are approachable to others and keeps you in a more open-minded

attitude.

4.

Don't Check Your Phone When You Are Nervous

Introverts tend to check their phone when they are nervous, but this puts you right

into defeated body language.

So try to avoid checking your phone when you want to feel confident and again try to relax

and be expansive.

I know someone who carries a newspaper around with him because that is an easier way to

take up space.

5.

Use the Triple Nod

The triple nod is the non-verbal equivalent of the ellipses.

It is a nonverbal cue for someone to keep talking.

If you are introverted and aren't great at making conversations, you want to encourage

the person you are speaking with to keep talking.

Once they are done speaking and pause, nod three times in quick succession and they will

often continue.

If not, you can pick up where the conversation left off, but this is a great way of showing

engagement and lengthening a discussion.

Well, that's the 5 Ways Introverts Can Use Body Language to Feel Confident.

Simply being aware and wanting more open body language can help you engage people and have

better connections.

Really cool information isn't it.

CAMILA MENDES - Before They Were Famous - RIVERDALE - Duration: 7:36.

Before Camila Mendes was cast in the iconic role of Veronica Lodge, for the hit show,

Riverdale,

Before building up almost 800 thousand followers on twitter, and 3.9 million on instagram

Before taking home the 2017 Teen Choice Award for Choice Scene Stealer

Camila Mendes grew up travelling all over, finally settling down in southern florida,

where she attended a fancy private school with an excellent theatre program.

But things weren't always perfect.

Her parents divorced during her childhood, and like her character on Riverdale, she was

slut shamed as a young teen.

But hopefully she didn't handle it in the same way...

Whats going on guys?

My name is Michael McCrudden, documenting the life and career of Camila Medes prior

to fame, here for you on Before They Were Famous.

I've covered a ton of other actors and actresses in the past but this Riverdale show, it's

so hot right now!

Who else from the show do you want me to document next?

Sound off in the comments down below.

(Graphic Intro)

Camila Carraro Medes was born on June 29th, 1994, to Brazillian Parents, and grew up alongside

her sister, Kiara Moreno.

While she was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, she moved around frequently throughout her

childhood.

The family moved back and forth between Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia, before finally settling

down in Orlando, Florida.

Then, her parents got a divorce, after which Camila, Kiara and their mom moved to Brazil.

They lived their for a year, and I assume that's where Cami picked up the ability to

speak fluent Portuguese.

After that, they returned to Florida, and bounced between Coral Springs, Pomano Beach,

Fort Lauderdale, and Miami.

Camila dealt with the constant moving like a champ.

She said,

"I created this idea in my head that no matter where I go I'm home because I am – my

body is my home.

I got a tattoo below my right breast that says, 'To build a home,' because that's my

goal in life--to build a home within myself."

Let's take a look at that tattoo, shall we.

Camila was around 8 years old when she started getting into acting.

She did plays for class, and she performed in plays that her sister would write.

She also watched a lot of TV growing up, and was a big fan of The OC, Gossip Girl, and

Weeds.

When the family settled in Plantation, Florida, her mother put her in school with a strong

theatre program, called the American Heritage School.

That's a private school with a student to faculty ration of eight to one.

The 40 acre campus is equipped with courtyards, an olympic size swimming pool, engineering

and robotics labs, a mock courtroom, outdoor classrooms with a certified wildlife habitat,

media centers, and a center for the arts.

Seems like an ideal place to go to school, but in an interview with Teen Vogue, Camila

revealed that she was often the victim of cyber bullying and slut shaming, saying,

"These two girls who were a few years above us put out this video on Facebook, and they

were just like, 'Who are freshman sluts?

Cami and Kylie.'

They just kind of made this video talking about how much we were sluts...Both of us

were in relationships, and not even hooking up with anybody but our loved ones."

Despite having to deal with stuff like that, her school's execellent theatre program helped

prepare her for an advanced education in acting.

Camila attended New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts.

Some of this schools notable alumni include, Taylor Schilling, Christopher Guest, Michael

C Hall, Peter Kruase, John C McGinley, Debra Messing, Josh Radnor, Pedro Pascal, and Rainn

Wilson.

In September of 2013, Camila started dating a guy named Ian Wallace.

She posted a picture of herself with him on instagram in 2016, captioning the photo...

"Three Years with this charmer.

Grateful for the endless inspiration and unconditional love that you give me.

I love you so much, Ian Wallace, and I am luck to fully experience just how rare and

special you are.

Happy Anniversary, love."

But the photo has since been deleted.

So, maybe they broke up.

If so, that's a shame.

He sounded like a great guy.

She finished her classes in December of 2015, but didn't technically graduate until May

of 2015.

While still in school, she gained representation by the Carson Kolker Organization, and landed

her first acting job was in a 2016 commercial for Ikea.

Let's take a look.

That same year (2016), while still in college, Camila would be cast in the role of a life

time.

Back in 2013, Warner Brothers had begun developing a feature film called Archie, based on Archie

Comics.

After several delays and priorty shifts at warner brothers, the project was reimagined

as a television show.

Fox was the first network to pick up the series in 2014, but they never moved forward with

it.

The CW was the next to bite, and officially ordered a pilot on January 29th, 2016.

And at some point, Netflix acquired the exclusive international broadcast rights.

The casting process for the show began in November of 2015, and was apparently pretty

ruthless.

In an interview, Camila's cast mate Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, said,

"We all worked our asses off, and it was a nationwide search that took months and months

of casting.

I was lucky enough to be cast as one of them.

I was told no at first, and so was Camila, and so was KJ."

The casting process formed tight bonds among the Riverdale stars, and on instagram, Camila

is frequently posting photos with her castmates.

Needless to say, Camila got the role of Veronica, and filming took place between March and April,

2016, in Vancouver, Canada.

In the spring of 2016, Camila was signed by CAA, and graduated from Tisch.

Riverdale premiered on the CW on January 26th, 2017.

The series was well received by audiences, and

won two saturn awards, and six teen choice awards, including Choice Scene Stealer, which

went to Camila.

Season two of Riverdale premiered on October 11th, 2017.

As for the rest of the story, well, we'll have to wait and see because this is before

they were famous.

My name's michael mccrudden, thanks for watching, two more videos for you down here.

Marvel's The Punisher (Netflix) Trailer #2 HD - Duration: 2:15.

Gentlemen...

I'm the only authority you will need.

I point, you shoot.

Did you kill the target?

What did you say?

Things over there were different.

What we were doing was wrong.

You did what you were supposed to do, right?

Now, the only person you're punishing is yourself.

Frank Castle?

I got something I need to show you.

I saw the video files.

The US military turned you into a hitman, Frank.

I'm looking for Frank Castle.

The Punisher?

I think he knows about my case.

Castle's the last witness.

We can either clean this up or let him take us down.

They killed my family to get to me.

You have nothing but a war inside you.

They gotta pay.

Just stay outta my way.

This is not your fight.

I need to find these bastards and kill them.

So where does that end, Frank?

What if you're exposed?

These men decide what the truth is.

The same thing that happened to you, happened to me.

We could make that right.

The world needs to see the truth.

Happy Together – The Great Friendship Special. / Sing My Song Part.4 [ENG/2017.10.19] - Duration: 1:42:22.

Happy to be together on Happy Together.

- Hello! / - Hello!

Good to see you all!

Do you know what the hottest catchphrase is?

They're on our show.

Stupid, great.

That has a nice ring to it.

- Are you looking down on me? / - Great?

No, no. Stupid.

You should know yourself.

This is the hottest catchphrase these days.

It's been the hottest catchphrase in 2017.

Right.

He's been on our show before

but never as the main guest...

You never know how someone's life can change.

He is today's main guest.

It pleases me so much that he's successful now.

You never know what'll happen in life.

They have a friendship people might envy.

The Great Friendship Special.

Let's bring in some really close friends.

Come on in!

Hello.

Lee Taeim!

Jeong Sanghun!

Wasting is stupid and saving is great.

He's made it big reviewing other people's receipts.

He has hit his first prime after debuting 25 years ago.

The rising star! The money saver! Kim Saengmin!

Hello. Hello.

Lamb skewers and Tsingtao

is back as a loser husband.

He made it big again by

playing an adulterer.

He's back! Jeong Sanghun!

From a classy lady to a successful one.

Loved for her hot body and great acting.

It's actress Lee Taeim!

I mentioned this earlier today...

Saengmin... Finally, after 25 years...

He's back as a big star!

Bravo!

Saengmin, how successful are you these days?

Things are pretty good. I get a lot of calls.

Saengmin and I are very close.

He told me honestly in the green room.

That his popularity will only last 2 months.

(My popularity will fade in 2 months)

Around 2 months...

You've hit your first prime after 25 years.

How do you feel these days?

How should I describe this?

It's really hard to explain.

I'd be more proud if I meant for this to happen.

This all happened after I took a phone call

from Song Euni and Kim Sook's podcast.

It's not like I prepared for that phone call.

So it was very surprising.

It was so sudden.

It's not like Saengmin prepared for anything.

Saengmin is at every set I go to these days.

He's the most casted celebrity these days.

Are you getting some commercial deals?

I think so.

(He's getting great commercial deals now)

I'm sure you're a lot happier with your life.

There's a pattern.

They don't trust you.

The big wigs don't trust you.

Who don't they trust?

They don't trust me.

That's why I got radio commercials first.

I asked if I could do a TV ad like Jaeseok.

They said after I'm more recognized by the people.

I got a radio commercial

and a commercial that'll run for just 2 months.

(Two months again)

You said your popularity would last 2 months.

Jaeseok's commercials are played for a year.

So I asked if I could do one like that too.

They said mine would run for 2 months

so I'd only be paid a sixth of the fee. I got angry.

"Why not just run it for a day?"

(Stupid commercial companies)

I'm still trying to gain more fame.

That's unfortunate how your period of fame

will only last as long as your commercial.

Saengmin has a ton of nicknames.

- Saengvely. / - Saengvely.

The bank account wiz, the master of saving,

Saengmin the talker.

- What is that? / - What a nickname...

To be Saengmin. Saengmin-like.

Saeng-listen.

They use those words in my fan club.

- So you have a fan club? / - Good nicknames.

But my fans tend to be a lot older.

"Having a Saengmin day"

is going home early for dinner.

A lot of my fans are mothers with young kids.

They give me a lot of energy.

I'm sure your family is surprised at your success.

What do they say?

It was really unique.

I heard this during a lecture.

My wife knew a good deal about me

before she married.

After 13 years, I become successful by mistake.

- It wasn't a mistake. / - Just being modest.

It was due to your efforts.

Song Euni really helped me.

My wife takes notes...

Of people who badmouth me online.

I'm sure...

She's my manager.

She's hard at work even now.

Taking notes on all the negative comments.

I've never had comments written about me.

But things are going crazy these days.

She took photos of surveys about me...

She's like my manager.

(Amazing)

She doesn't write the IDs of the trolls.

It's not that many if she can write them all down.

- She's just happy. / - She's very happy.

My in-laws are thrilled.

How about your kids?

My kids still don't know.

My oldest heard that I do an animal show.

We don't watch much TV, so they don't really know.

Sanghun, you were happy to be cast for today.

Of course.

My original profession is an actor.

So I wanted to succeed as an actor.

On "Woman of Dignity"

I was happy my despicable character was a hit.

But I always had Saengmin in my heart.

Then we both suddenly blew up.

That's a rare case.

Right.

That's really hard to see.

It's like two people winning the lottery.

We've seen Saengmin and Sanghun often.

Taeim, we don't get to see you that often.

The two of them...

Right. They were both in "Woman of Dignity."

It's the first time in my life seeing Taeim in person.

- And? / - He said its the first time in his life...

In person...

I was surprised.

What was it like working with Sanghun?

It was great.

I've been acting for 10 years

and I realized again how important

it is to have a good co-star.

I heard Sanghun was really nice to you on set.

Yes, I was shocked.

It was a really cold day.

And it was the first time a senior actor did this for me.

"Taeim, you look cold."

And he took his jacket off and put it on me.

He even brought me a heat pack.

You were hitting on her.

(Flustered)

Help me out, man.

My wife is watching.

I have 3 kids.

But most importantly, he took the lead

so that I could show my best acting.

I was so thankful.

Sanghun took some heat when the drama started.

Why is that?

A lot of people were worried.

I was doing "SNL Korea."

They thought I'd play a comedic role again.

They worried...

And I was playing an adulterer.

How could I leave Kim Heeseon for Taeim?

We thought it wouldn't suit you to play an adulterer.

Why not? He has the face of...

What's wrong with my face?

I look like an adulterer?

All people with big noses look like adulterers?

(Adulterers have big noses?)

That's what you wanted to say!

Thanks!

Thanks for saying what I wanted to say.

Now my face is turning red.

Kim Heeseon played your wife in the drama.

And I heard she got jealous of you two.

When Taeim and I did scenes

Heeseon showed up when she didn't have to.

When it's you and Taeim?

During the affair.

I think it's because Heeseon wanted to act better.

Watching that could really provoke you as an actor.

I think that's why she came to watch our scenes.

She was watching the filming and she blurted out,

"Geez, you really are a scumbag." To me.

Heeseon said that.

Taeim, you felt pressured when she was watching?

I felt really pressured.

She didn't say a word.

She was just watching the monitor like this.

Like you're a real adulterer.

I felt l did something wrong.

It was just your role.

I felt l did something wrong. I didn't know what to do.

It was acting but she felt bad.

Right.

I even apologized to her.

We're not even a real couple but I said,

"Sorry."

This was off-camera.

Heeseon didn't say, "It's only acting."

She was like, "It's okay. Geez... It's fine."

She really got into her role.

- Right. / - That's great.

That's a good thing.

Taeim and I talked about this.

I wanted this drama to be a success

and so did Taeim.

So you joined forces.

We were pretty passionate.

The director took a risk

by casting us in these roles.

Director Kim Yuncheol did "My Lovely Sam Soon."

And he wanted to make another big hit.

It was an important project.

Everyone wanted it to be a hit.

Tightly-knit.

That kind of desperation makes a hit show.

They were really desperate.

We had to be hated for this show to be a hit.

Taeim, were you hungry for this role?

I was very desperate.

I even went on a diet.

I wanted to show the viewers my acting chops.

You're choking up.

Taeim you were really dieting hard.

What did you think of Sanghun at first?

I loved him as the Chinese reporter.

I was a big fan.

You like comedians and funny guys, right?

Yes, I like guys like that.

Oh, really?

I bet when she gets a boyfriend later

he won't be anything like that...

Someone not funny at all.

We won't be swayed by comments like that.

That only hurts me.

Lee Nayoung said she liked

funny guys like me but she married Won Bin.

That was messed up, Nayoung.

- That's understandable. / - It happened to you too.

We have our three guests here.

We talked about Saengmin.

The icon of saving money.

Hard work will never betray you.

I knew he'd come up. Saengmin really showed

everyone how true that is.

He really lives diligently.

And he was rewarded for that.

How long have you been saving money?

Sanghun, you've known him a long time.

- Has he always been like this? / - Yes.

He used to borrow toothbrushes.

- What? / - A toothbrush.

Kim Hanseok showed up to performances first.

He kept noticing his toothbrush was wet.

It looked like it had been used.

The bristles looked flattened.

Yes, the bristles looked flat.

Hanseok was like, "Who was this?"

One day, he walked in on Saengmin brushing his teeth.

He saw that it was his toothbrush.

"Hey! Why are you using my toothbrush?"

He made a big fuss.

"I'll get all your germs in my mouth."

Then Saengmin said something profound.

"Hanseok, the toothpaste kills all the germs."

(He really believes in toothpaste)

He's pretty hardcore.

An amazing guy. So frugal.

I commuted really far from Gimpo.

That's pretty amazing.

I'll tell you about Saengmin as a rookie.

When we went to go eat

he'd pack just rice.

Then he'd ask if I'd share my side dishes with him.

It's funny because... Jaeseok is too but...

Kim Yongman, Ji Seokjin and Kim Suyong...

I didn't mind mooching food off of them.

They're like 7 or 8 years older than me.

And he packed his own rice.

Think about it.

He didn't ask you to buy him a meal.

He brought his own rice.

He'd eat the side dishes at the diner we were at.

And it's not like we were going to eat all of them.

So we couldn't really complain.

You said this during an interview, Saengmin.

That Jaeseok likes you the best.

This is hard to explain.

Didn't you say Shin Dongyup likes you best?

I see Dongyup every week, but at KBS...

This is what I wanted to say.

I've run a lot of errands for Jaeseok.

(Dizzy)

I like him the best because I send him on errands.

Try to explain yourself.

I was with Jaeseok before he got famous.

And I'm a bit proud of that.

Then Jaeseok became a big success 15 years ago.

A lot of people wanted to befriend him.

But we don't call each other. That's how we are.

Whether things work out for me or not,

I won't call until I turn 60.

But he's always in my heart.

You never call each other?

Once during the holiday I just called to say hi.

"Hey, Saengmin!" "Alright, I'm hanging up now."

I felt really cool about that.

It was a bit random for me.

I was happy to hear from him after so long.

"Hi, Jaeseok. Just called to say hi."

"Hey, Saengmin. How's everything?"

"We'll talk about that next time."

- I was a bit flustered. / - That's how I am.

A long call might seem like he needs a favor.

I didn't want to be

one of those clingy friends when he's so busy.

But no matter who he's on TV with

I always feel I have a deep connection with him.

Right.

Then I fell on some really hard times.

After deliberating, I called Jaeseok.

He picked up.

I told him that I was really struggling.

Then Jaeseok said,

"Saengmin!"

When he said my name it sounded so warm.

The next thing he said was, "How old are you?"

I told him I was 41.

(Sad yet funny)

He told me that I'm at the age

where I should speak my mind on TV.

He sounded so affectionate

even though I was calling him after 5 years.

I listened to Saengmin go on for a while.

I felt so bad for him. I got choked up.

"Saengmin! How old are you now?"

He said 41.

"I'm not saying this because of your age,

but you should be able to speak your mind now.

Don't be so upset about that."

Yes, I was upset.

Then it got silent for like a minute.

He said, "I can't live your life for you.

I have a shoot coming up now.

I'm sure you'll do fine on your own."

If that happened to me

I would just quit.

If it was me... Even though I enjoy the work...

I would just...

But then I thought of Saengmin.

He thought differently.

So I couldn't tell him to quit.

I was like, "Alright, Saengmin...

I have a shoot to do, so I'll let you go here."

But I was at home that day.

(Big news)

- You couldn't tell him to quit. / - I couldn't.

I didn't want to let my emotions get to me

and tell him that. What if he quit for real?

Your slogan is to be dry like dried squid.

- As Jaeseok said... / - Be dry like a desert.

That's just the way I am.

I don't call Jaeseok when he's doing well.

I don't want to be clingy.

Saengmin always says this.

He hates being a burden on others.

- Asking for favors... / - He hates asking favors.

Taeim, how do you feel about all your fame?

It's nice that a lot of people recognize me now.

A taxi driver recognized you recently.

What happened?

He was like, "Aren't you Lee Taeim?"

And he was a pretty old guy.

"You know who I am?"

"Of course I do. Stop losing so much weight."

That's what he said.

That drama really put me on the map.

It was very entertaining.

I was amazed.

Other people told me not to play a villain next time.

- That made me feel bad. / - We said this a lot.

If you do a good job at playing a villain,

they'll want to see your nice side

and cast you for such a role.

We were determined to nail our parts as villains

so we'd get parts as good people later.

We talked about that a lot.

You two were really ambitious

acting in that drama.

You created synergy.

- We clicked. / - We were really determined.

And when the director overheard us, he said,

"I'm going to work really hard too!"

(Everyone on this drama was ambitious)

Another hit after "My Lovely Sam Soon."

So ambitious.

So determined to make the big bucks.

When like-minded people work hard

towards the same goal, big things happen.

You two... Had a love scene...

Sorry, but this isn't "Entertainment Weekly."

You're the star today.

We'll be conducting the interviews today.

I was really curious!

Just think of your own stories to tell.

It's because of my job.

This come from doing so many interviews.

He'd ask me a question.

That's fine but he doesn't listen to my response.

He doesn't listen.

He's thinking of the next question.

(You're the star today, so just relax)

Sanghun, you were concerned about the drama?

I was very concerned about how I should play the part.

I had to become a cheating scumbag.

And when you play a villain...

I had a commercial deal that had to be renewed...

Because of your image as a villain.

I told Taeim that we should become scumbags.

But I was really worried about

being seen negatively.

Which is why I added some comedy into the role.

That's why the character was like that.

I was very concerned.

If you're too serious, they'd really start hating you.

Since you're so good at acting.

Rather than being villainous, I was despicable.

You were still likable.

That's how I was able to keep my commercial deal.

You were able to keep your commercial deal!

An extended contract.

Make the show a bit and protect your deal.

You had a lot to do, Sanghun.

- It's all about renewing your ad contracts. / - Yep.

"Lamb skewers and Tsingtao" has been trademarked?

What's that about?

When my line became a hit,

I decided to trademark it.

- You registered yourself? / - Yes, I made the call.

Because people didn't know my name.

They knew me as "Lamb skewers and Tsingtao."

That's like my name.

And of course it should be protected.

So I trademarked it.

Can people say Tsingdao?

Tsingdao and all the variations...

I wrote like 100 different variations.

(He registered all the similar-sounding ones too!)

Tsingtsingtao, Tsingtao...

When I'm excited it sounds like...

Tsingtsingtaoro taotaotao tsingtao.

I registered 100 different versions.

Nice.

He's so thorough.

Show us your "Lamb skewers and Tsingtao" act.

Thank you. Lamb skewers and Tsingtao.

So much yellow dust from China.

I keep crying and dripping snot.

I cough a lot too.

Isn't it strange how you can understand me?

Amazing...

It means you're practically Chinese yourself.

That was a dialect.

- Taeim really enjoyed that. / - She did.

That's how we got close.

As soon as we met...

On "Woman of Dignity,"

you rode a bike to go see Taeim.

- That was a hot topic. / - To have an affair.

Did you ride a bike often?

I loved biking.

My nickname is BRA.

The bike riding adulterer. BRA.

I forgot about that because

the drama was shot ahead of time.

We shot it in February and it aired in June.

After finishing the drama, I went for a bike ride

without much though.

My building's security guard was like,

"Hey, where are you off to?"

"Me? Just for a bike ride."

(I know what you're about to do)

(Don't lie to me)

You use acting to make your stories funny.

He really laughed like that.

- You get drawn in. / - You really do.

It could seem like an ordinary story...

He really draws you in.

Then I got a carrier you attach to the bike.

For kids to ride in. I bought one of those.

So now I ride around with my kids.

That's fun.

So when people go, "Sanghun is riding a bike!"

I laugh and show them my kids in the back.

(See? I'm not having an affair! My kids are here!)

(Respect)

You really make your stories better with acting.

That's something new.

A story like that...

He speaks like he's in a musical.

He can act and he's funny.

You should teach acting.

Sanghun, it's acting and all,

but intimate scenes can be a bit...

Isn't it uncomfortable for you?

Don't you feel bad for your wife?

Of course I felt bad.

She'd ask me trying to start up with me.

"So how was your day?"

"I shot a kissing scene today."

You tell her ahead of time?

"You had a kissing scene?" "It was great acting.

Taeim and I have such great chemistry."

You play it off like it was just acting.

And I tell her I want her to watch those scenes.

You tell her to watch them.

I ask her to watch the scenes.

She says she'd watch and be totally objective.

After watching the scene she said it was great.

"It seemed so real that it actually upset me."

"I feel really upset now."

She was really upset.

She was trembling with rage.

"It's really upsetting!"

So the scene seemed so real

that it really upset her. That's not right though.

You did a good job acting.

I said, "If I could get you to believe it,

my acting must've been amazing."

I bet that could happen.

Your wife has to be really understanding.

No matter how close you are, I bet it's frustrating.

There was another steamy scene after that.

A bathing scene.

(Big trouble)

We were both naked.

Drinking wine together.

But I forgot to tell my wife.

You should've warned her.

What did she say?

I called.

"Honey, I just finished shooting 'SNL Korea.'"

"Did you enjoy yourself?"

(Chills)

"Did you enjoy your shower?

Did you enjoy your little bath?

You never do that with me!

Did you enjoy drinking wine in a tub?"

- A very real reaction. / - She got into the drama.

She felt betrayed.

It's just acting, but still.

Married people can relate to this.

"Kim Saengmin's Receipts" got him here today.

(Financial advice anyone can understand)

(He got his first catchphrase after debuting in 1992)

Oh, great!

We have some quotes from you.

"If you don't start saving now

you'll have to do something you don't want later."

"Only drink coffee if someone buys it for you."

"If you have indigestion, don't take a pill, jump!"

"Hydrate yourself with water."

"You should make drinking water at home."

"All clothes should be worn for 22 years."

"Try to have skin like Jackie Chan or An Seonggi."

From hearing those quotes...

It's not just about conserving, right?

This is how it started.

I just went all out at first.

I know I'm not that funny...

- So I was really blunt. / - Getting people excited.

People liked it but so many people

started throwing in their own thoughts.

"What is consuming?"

"Why would you give advice on insurance?"

Then after a while,

I got an offer from KBS to do a show like this.

So I had to study and learn more ways to save.

Saengmin even gives us financial advice sometimes.

He visits so many banks and hears from them.

And he's really into that stuff too.

He knows everything that goes on at banks.

Do you have an asset management license?

I planned on pursuing that field

if I was to quit working on TV.

What's sad and funny is that everything I say is true.

But only around 3% of the people take my advice.

20 years ago... I was still really into this stuff.

I had flyers and brochures

for different kinds of savings accounts.

I only wanted to help but Jaeseok just said to me,

"Alright, I got it."

That really hurt my pride on the way home!

You remember.

I didn't have money then for a savings account.

Jaeseok was super ultra stupid back then.

Sanghun, I heard Saengmin

called you stupid a lot?

I've heard that a lot.

When my Chinese reporter act was doing well,

I bought my first full-sized apartment.

But I felt like Saengmin would chew me out over it.

He happened to be in the neighborhood.

"Hey, I'm around your way. What are you up to?"

Then he said, "Why'd you tell me to come here?"

I told him I bought an apartment.

You bought a place here?

This place isn't even near a subway station!"

(He has to comment on every purchase)

"Saengmin, this is close to a subway station."

"That's only if the station is within a 5-minute walk.

The station is a 20-minute walk from here

This place is not near a subway station.

This place is no good. The value will never go up.

Sell this place and move somewhere else."

"Where should I go?"

He said to move to Gangnam.

In a smaller unit.

I just moved in a month ago.

I saved up to move into a full-sized apartment.

How could I leave so soon?

"Hey! You never know when things will turn bad!

You'll need money when you're struggling.

That's why I'm saying this. Listen to me!"

I called him every 3 days and finally got him to sell.

So what happened? Was Saengmin right?

- He was. / - And you made some money.

I sold the place when it was at its highest value.

(He really is good at investing)

So where'd you move to? Jamwon?

- No. I got a lease. / - I told him to.

Move into a place with a steady market value.

I told him to move into a leased apartment.

I told him to start saving again.

So you made the right move.

You'd be lucky to have a friend like Saengmin.

I bought a villa after only looking at the interior.

I loved the interior.

But I didn't notice the highway right in front.

For real. I just saw the interior.

I didn't notice the highway because of all the traffic.

The cars were at a standstill during the day.

- You couldn't hear them. / - But late at night...

(Zoom, zoom, zoom)

It was chaos.

He just had to add sound effects.

So big apartments were going up in value

and my place was dropping.

Going down, going down!

(So funny)

I hear he yells at you over buying clothes.

All the time. He looks me over.

I want to show off my new clothes.

He doesn't say, "Nice shirt."

He goes, "Let's see..." And looks here.

- No, I don't! / - It's a habit.

It's a habit. I just remembered.

When Saengmin was doing comedy with me...

He'd be like... And look here.

It's a habit.

It doesn't feel so great when he pulls this part up.

"Hey, you can't afford to wear Polo."

Saeho is a bit of a fashionista.

He wears a lot of nice watches.

If you were closer, you'd probably criticize him.

Saeho...

He should be really careful these days.

Are you a fortune teller?

He should be careful?

Why don't you read his palm?

I think Saeho should've

bought a home first. That's the right order.

Maybe he's trying to beat you, Jaeseok.

He bought a striped suit.

You're supposed to buy a solid color first.

A solid color suit comes first?

You start with a solid color, study some fashion...

You don't get to wear striped suits that often.

Not as many occasions.

But he got a striped suit already.

You don't wear them as often.

He should've bought a solid color first

but he's in danger for buying a striped suit.

I'm going to take some of this advice today

and see what kind of changes I can make.

Since we're on the subject...

Do you want to save money?

We'll take your credit card statement

and give you financial advice that suits you.

It's Saengmin's time to shine.

He'll look through our statements and analyze them.

My show is all about

making reasonable purchases.

A desperate cover letter is most important.

I don't know who this is but...

"I'm a star now

but I'm always worried about when my fame will fade.

I should prepare for my future."

A 36-year-old unmarried man.

- It's Saeho. / - Yes.

Living in a partially leased apartment.

Meaning that he's still paying some rent.

He's done so many ads yet he still pays rent.

He has to get with the program. This is stupid.

How much do you pay for rent?

How much is your rent?

I'm supposed to reveal this?

I'm sorry. Never mind.

I'm going to move next year.

I was going to get lease a place this year

but I really like my place now

even though I pay rent.

That's what I call being stupid for showing off.

He's being stupid for showing off.

So that's why Saeho is stupid.

It's not his home, yet he wants to live there.

That's stupid and makes no sense. Right?

Honestly, I really wanted the place.

I wanted to show people I could afford that place

and that was stupid of me.

That's being stupid for showing off.

Living there to have friends and girls over...

To throw parties.

Again, it's just showing off. It's stupid.

He should stop trying to be so flashy.

I can say this seriously.

I've saved up some money.

I can't change my situation now...

I've saved up to move into a lease next year.

Good job.

How much did you save?

I have to tell you all that?

Then don't even bring it up!

Don't mention that you saved up money.

It makes us curious, so stop bringing it up.

- It's at least $5,000. / - Don't mention it.

At least $5,000.

So that issue has been settled for Saeho.

He eats alone.

I'm all about that.

I'd say that's great.

Yet he pays $13 for Pyeongyang cold noodles.

Saeho has reached his peak and did commercials...

His food budget should be $7.80 or less.

If he didn't do the ads, it should be $6.50 or less.

A meal can be expensive.

True. At least $10.

I'm saying he lacks that desperation.

Where'd you get the number $7.80?

Just by my own standards.

My stomach...

Pyeongyang cold noodles cures my hangovers.

That's a red flag from me.

Meaning he even drank the night before.

$250 for drinks and $13 for the hangover cure.

Purchases leading to more purchases.

That's a good one. Purchases leading to purchases.

Like an increasing appetite.

I wouldn't need cold noodles if I didn't drink.

You should've ate at a diner.

You could be saving a lot more.

Since we should be saving.

On September 10,

you had a work party with some fellow comedians

and spent $321.

Among those comedians were

Yang Sechan, Nam Changhee, Lee Jinho,

Lee Yongjin and Kim Sinyoung.

I don't think Saeho is so well off

that he should be picking up the entire bill.

(Hard-hitting facts)

From being a pro at not showing up...

It's all about the return.

Your past is important. You have to remember it.

He should've saved up when he was more popular

so he'd be more secure when things got slow for him.

But his popularity has faded somewhat.

He pays rent.

He keeps paying for work parties.

He's still using the same amount of money.

His fame has dropped a bit...

But he's still spending like he did back then.

After you parted ways with your friends

you spent $15 on spicy rice cakes for yourself

at 11:15 p.m. in Hongdae.

(His food costs add up to a lot)

$15? That's a lot of spicy rice cakes!

Then he bought a pair of jeans

at a clothing store in Sinsa for $69.

A lot of people talk about this.

Get nice clothes first or a nice body first?

A lot of people talk about this.

I hear that a lot myself.

Then he spent $235 at Uniqlo.

Two cashmere sweaters.

- It says all that? / - Low-cut socks...

And two crew-necks.

"How dare you wear cashmere?" Is what I'd say.

Then what should he wear?

Cashmere should only be worn

by those with at least $600,000 saved...

Save $600,000 to wear cashmere?

So I can wear cashmere if I have $600,000?

(He has $600,000?) Yes.

I'll return those sweaters.

So that's the end of my analysis of Saeho's receipts.

We're just doing this out of fun.

But you did make some good points.

This is good.

Now when people try to get me to pay for things

I can say, "Sorry. Saengmin says I shouldn't."

(Saengmin says no to unnecessary spending)

I want to have a happy family like Jaeseok

with the money I worked so hard to earn."

- That's Hyunmoo. / - A 41-year-old unmarried man.

This is a stupid misunderstanding.

He doesn't know that Jaeseok is really happy.

He could be mistaken.

We don't know how other people think

so we shouldn't be too envious of others.

As a friend, I can say he really is happy.

You can't make people laugh if you aren't happy.

A 41-year-old unmarried man.

You have your own home.

Great! Good job there.

He saved a lot of money.

To become fashionable, he spends a lot on clothes.

And as the host of a restaurant reviewing show

he spends a lot on food.

Here's a mistake.

You spent $716 at a imported clothing store.

(A big spender when it comes to clothes)

He thinks he's Lee Jeongjae, which is stupid.

But I can relate.

You feel good in nice clothes.

You have to be thick-skinned and refrain from that.

If I was Lee Jeongjae I'd wear cheap clothes.

That's not good either.

But he's also quite the son. Amazing.

His mom spent $13 at the mart.

His mom spent his money buying clothes online.

His mom spent his money at the supermarket

as well as the department store.

You're a great son.

He got pho with a friend on August 20.

The next day he spent $50 having dinner

with a friend at a restaurant in Cheongdam.

$50 is enough for two people.

And it probably wasn't a guy you ate with.

I think that's great. You're getting closer to marriage.

(He's getting closer to marriage?)

The receipts can tell you a lot.

You're right about his clothes.

Right.

So $15 on spicy rice cakes was stupid?

- He spent $50. / - But that was only for you.

No. You ate at 11:30 at night.

That's a stupid way to get reflux esophagitis.

(The receipts can even reveal your health)

The next day I had a stomachache.

I kept burping the next day. Okay, okay.

A 46-year-old married man.

- It's Jaeseok. / - It's me.

Let's take a look. On the first Monday morning,

he spent $43 at the dermatologist.

I go to the dermatologist once or twice a week.

Really think about Yu Jaeseok the person.

Going to the dermatologist

is his ploy to stay looking younger.

It's stupid for wanting to make Myungsoo look older.

So that was stupid.

Stupid for being sneaky.

Stupid for being sneaky.

I didn't know that was stupid.

He watched an early movie with his wife for $12.

Your love for your wife is great.

I had some spare time for a movie.

Jaeseok was frugal.

Movie tickets are usually $12.

But he spent $6 a person.

That's really cheap for a recent movie.

I just went and got the early morning discount.

- You didn't have popcorn? / - We did.

It's right here. $6.50 for popcorn.

Your love for your wife is great.

So you watch early morning movies.

Because that's the only time I'm free.

And I happened to get the discount.

And it's nice because the theater is empty.

There were like 4 other people watching.

Isn't having popcorn at the movie theater stupid?

But he saw the movie with his wife.

And he only bought one box of popcorn.

You can both reach for some

and touch each other's hands. Great!

- Great for physical contact. / - Great couple!

So that you rate that as great.

A great couple.

(They're a great couple)

I guess he has a point.

You have a kid. So what if you touch hands?

- But still. / - That's great for the couple.

It feels different.

I could squeeze her hand reaching for popcorn.

They are a great couple.

"Song Jaehui got married.

I'm going to get married eventually too."

Someone wants to save up for a wedding.

A 32-year-old unmarried woman.

She took out a loan to get a leased apartment.

Meaning she's way better off than Saeho.

It's all a matter of time.

Let's say you do a commercial and make money.

You could pay back that loan

but Saeho wouldn't be able to.

He contracted with his landlady.

She contracted with a bank.

- See where I'm getting at? / - Yes.

That's why she's better off.

I have a question. I contracted with my landlord.

I paid a deposit for my place.

I get it all back when I move out.

No. Let's say you come into money tomorrow.

You could offer your landlady that money

instead of paying rent, but she wouldn't accept it.

Right. She wants that rent.

But that's not the case for Hyunkyung.

Saeho is really having trouble understanding.

- Stupid! / - Really stupid.

He's pretty much stupid.

I know too.

Can I really say everything here?

Groceries for a housewarming party.

She spent $130.

She bought a bunch of stuff.

Think about what a housewarming party is.

Is it really your house? Think about that.

(Such a refreshing comment)

- You're right. / - Yes.

That's a bit stupid.

Don't have a housewarming if it isn't your house.

I just wanted to have some friends over.

- Do that when you buy a house. / - It makes sense.

Successful people are habitually conservative.

They're still frugal when they're old.

Someone could think differently

but habits don't die so easily.

(We thank Saengmin for his analyses)

A lot of celebrities ask him for financial advice.

A lot of people ask Saengmin.

You recommended something strange to comedians.

I debuted as a comedian in 1992.

Jaeseok started to blow up in 1997.

And this is what comedians are like.

They want to give their juniors a character.

That's after they become successful themselves.

Jaeseok suggested that I should play a cheapskate.

I was late once coming to the comedians' room.

The seniors were like, "Hey, where were you?"

I was scared. I was only 23.

I said I was late from going to the bank.

They all cracked up. They said it was hilarious.

How is me going to the bank funny?

Then I decided to make the seniors laugh with this.

I'm not funny on TV so I wanted to make them laugh.

They asked me what's a good way to save money.

Humans are very weak.

Get a savings account with automatic transfers.

This is a new savings plan.

The below the subway plan.

They loved it. Next week...

It gives you the same interest after it expires

and it sends you to Switzerland.

The Swiss snowflake plan.

They all cracked up.

So I would make them all laugh and go home.

But since I'm so unfunny

my jokes seemed believable.

I thought those were actual savings plans.

So this is what happened.

Saengmin was joking to be funny

but people thought these ridiculously-named

savings plans actually exist.

So it was a joke.

This bank doesn't exist anymore

but Jaeseok and comedian Kim Jiseon went there.

"I want to put $500 in the below the subway plan."

For real.

"And $350 in the Swiss snowflake plan."

The banker laughed.

Jiseon said, "Saengmin told me about this."

The banker went, "What? Kim Saengmin said that?

Chief!

Kim Saengmin said it exists!

Should I call HQ?"

Even the bank thought Saengmin

might've known something they didn't.

For real.

He's as believable as most announcers.

The below the subway plan and the Swiss plan...

I thought they were real.

Saengmin and Sanghun are very close.

But I heard it wasn't like that at first.

You didn't like each other.

I disliked him at first.

He went to audition at a comedy club.

His act was a snake merchant.

He was all gangly.

I wanted him to stand up straight and focus.

I kept suggesting that we cut him.

I said he was weird and too wavy.

What did you do, Sanghun?

A snake merchant is a bit outdated.

This was a long time ago. Over 20 years ago.

- It was a pretty good act. / - Can you show us?

Hello. I'm facing the judges.

I never wanted anyone to psych me out.

I was like that when I was younger.

Hello. Nice to meet you.

Have you eaten? Have you eaten?

- That's the act. / - You know it, right?

But Saengmin looked really offended.

Song Euni and Jeong Seonghwa responded.

"Yes, I ate. I had some soup."

Then I asked Saengmin...

(What's with this guy?)

He should be showing us a comedy act.

I don't like jokes where I have to participate.

You don't like it when people get too familiar.

There are many types of comedy.

I was just talking.

Since you haven't eaten... Hold still...

I've brought you a snake.

He really is a bit wavy.

He should say, "Let's see it." And go like this.

But he didn't say that.

"No thank you." What am I supposed to do?

I couldn't take this out...

His hand is moving a lot behind his back.

"Hold still!" I said.

That was pretty mean of you.

It'll end up biting my back.

I'll show you. Here's a snake...

(Acting his heart out)

Don't bite me.

(I hate this)

Then I bit Saengmin like this.

He could've said, "Ouch!"

- But even then... / - Even then...

(How did Saengmin react?)

"That's enough."

(You're making me uncomfortable)

He really hated your act.

That's just like Saengmin.

"That's enough." What else could I do?

I bet that was embarrassing.

I figured I'd be cut.

They told me to wait outside.

They talked for 15 minutes because of me.

Then they told me to come in.

Song Euni and Jeong Seonghwa congratulated me.

"Welcome to the comedy club! You pass!"

Then I saw Saengmin.

He wasn't happy.

Chandra Nandini: Is Nandini, the Deserving Chief Queen of Magadh? - Duration: 3:31.

Chandra Nandini: Is Nandini, the Deserving Chief Queen of Magadh?

In the serial Chandra Nandni, we have seen competition between two queens of Chandragupta Maurya to become Chief queen.

The two Queens in picture are Helena and Nandini.

No, Durdhara didn't take part in the competition as Dadi smartly sidelined her by saying she is a daughter of a trader so she cannot be a Chief Queen.

However, no matter what the serial shows, in reality the Chief Queen of Chandragupta Maurya was Durdhara even if she was a commoner's daughter.

Going by that logic of Dadi, now the question is, whether Helena and Nandini are deserving for the position?.

Helena Was The Daughter of Alexander's General.

Well, Helena too didn't belong to a royal family.

She was just the daughter of a general (Seleucus Nicator) who later got a proportion of Alexander's land to administer and rule.

So, practically, even Helena Maurya didn't belong to a royal family just like Durdhara in the serial.

Nadini in the serial Chandra Nandini Was Born to a King (Who was a Barber Before).

On the other hand, Nandini had a complete royal background.

After all, she was the daughter of a King who ruled Magadh state.

So, unlike Helena she does have royal upbringing.

However, she isn't blue blooded as she is the daughter of a first generation king who was initially a barber.

So, don't you think it is indeed partiality on behalf of Dadi and Chandragupta Maurya's mother Mora to give so much love and attention only to Nandini (no matter what their reason is).

One may argue that it is her good nature that is attracting Dadi and Moora.

However, that alone cannot make Nandini deserving to become the Chief Queen of Magadh.

Besides, Nandini has always been a stern supporter of her father Nand who was nothing less than a terror to the Magadh citizens.

As a kid, she had even threatened Moora when she raised her voice against the atrocities of Nand.

With such a background, do you really think Nandini is deserving to be the Chief Queen? If yes, please share your thoughts with us.

The script of the TV show - Duration: 1:29.

Hope you "burn" not only is life outside of this stupid computer, which is sometimes a headache. But sometimes watching our big TV. And there seem to be a lot of great programs. I especially want to mention the various talk shows like "Windows", "maiden tears", etc. Probably a no brainer, what's going on pure fiction. Although the idea of programs good. But the execution is rather weak. The idea is that would you yourself try to make a script and offer it to the drafters of such programs. Of course, on TV kitchen and its writers well (that really sucks), but why would creative people not to try? Then associated with the program guide and propose a project. And who lives in the capital and has acting data, and can earn extra money by participating in the program.
