Waching daily Oct 20 2017

hey guys in this video we're gonna talk about one of our favorite topics how to

become successful on YouTube we recently hit a hundred thousand subscribers and

learn some cool tricks from friends along the way so let's get right into

this video reviewing the best tips from YouTube not that side the other side

number one what's up El tiro hey what's up my name is Adrian aka el

dedo and I've been a full-time youtuber since 2014 my channel is focused on

dance for making awesome dance music videos to teaching people how to do the

robot like many youtubers I started my account with zero subscribers well

technically I've always had one subscriber my mama gotta love mom's

right the point is if you want to take YouTube seriously there is a proven

method for how to grow an audience here on this amazing platform and I'm not

gonna give you some generic advice like you really have to build good content

I'm going to give you the one key strategy that helped scale my YouTube

audience this strategy of mine is called hustle and heart this strategy isn't

very sexy but it 100% works let's break it down as a dancer I would spend hours

online just watching other people's dance videos who were starting out just

like me back in the day and I would comment on their videos giving them

props credit or constructive criticism without ever asking anything in return

eventually by the nature of goodness they would check out my channel and

subscribe that I did this exact strategy to get to my first 1000 subscribers I

probably contacted over 4,000 YouTube dancers who are just starting out like

me in a time span of 6 months if you do the math that means reaching out to a

minimum of 22 people per day and because the strategy is predicated on giving

value you can't just spam someone you actually have to watch their videos so

it's been at least 2 minutes watching that other dancers youtube channel so if

you add the time it takes to find a youtuber with the same audience watch at

least 2 minutes of their content and comment something authentic at least 22

times per day you're looking at approximately 1 hour to one and a half

hours every single day building a YouTube family with like-minded

individuals helps out in 3 major aspects in growing a channel building a share

army collaboration and shared knowledge as you grow from 1,000 to 5,000

10,000 to infinity a thousand subscribers the biggest thing about

networking is to not ask anything in return I can't tell you how many

comments every single day I get just like this will you check out my channel

please tell me what you think about goo do subscribe to my channel I make kids

videos too great channel you should check out mine don't be that person the

best way to show your authenticity by commenting on someone's video it's use

timestamp of what specific part you liked about that video so watching a

dance video for example I would comment I loved when you did that at point 1 5

of your video really cool move or try commenting on specific moments in the

video that proved that you actually watched it this is why this strategy is

called hustle and heart not hustle and spam hustle and heart take the time to

care and build relationships

you

tip number two hey guys what's up my name is Lin Moberg and I have a channel

all about fashion DIY and lifestyle this is my fourth year on YouTube and along

the way I've picked up a couple of tips that I noticed how to grow my

subscribers so today I thought I'd share one of them with you from my experience

at making your videos so fun and entertaining to watch this via number

one most important thing when it comes to increasing your conversion rate which

basically means the number of people that decide to subscribe to your channel

after watching a video so the question is how do you make your videos fun and

entertaining to watch well something that really worked for me is editing

basically the more cool effects and transitions that you use it the more

entertaining and engaging your video will be so that's a really good tip to

take your video and editing to a whole new level in addition to adding effects

and transitions I also like to add a little text popups throughout the video

it could be something silly or fun of you that you want to add maybe you want

to encourage your viewers to follow your social media or click link in the

description or you can also ask a question that relates to the video and

ask them to leave at their answer down below in a comment so for example I'll

ask what's your favorite clothing store if I'm doing the haul or what's your

favorite snack if I'm doing a cooking video and this will really increase the

engagement Seibel on your channel and help build a loyal audience make sure

they put a lot of effort into editing even if you're just doing your regular

sit-down video because by adding transitions and text and sound effects

and music your video will look so much more energetic and captivating and also

a professional which image hearing will make your channel stand out so that you

can grow your subscribers really I know what you really need is film war the war

lets you attack special effects and edit your videos and like basically a few

clicks you can download it for free right here in the link or in the

description box below

two three who are you what is your message what

makes you unique and how do you stand out these are all important questions to

be asking yourself when making a brand on YouTube I'm foxy and I make

over-the-top skits and today I'm going to be talking about how branding has

impacted the overall success of my youtube channel I've been around the

block this isn't my first rodeo I've been

making videos in several different channels since 2006 I was always able to

get people to watch my videos that wasn't a problem however getting people

to subscribe is a completely different scenario and that's what branding really

comes in regardless of how many views I had I wasn't able to get people to

subscribe to my channel because I didn't have a clear consistent brand people

would come to my channel and they would say what the is this I've always made

comedy and without introduce myself to people or told people about what I did

I'll always is kind of simply say yeah I make comedy videos I'm YouTube and I

think that was my biggest issue because that was what I thought my brand was

that was the value that I thought I was presenting people like yeah go to my

channel to get comedy but that's not enough the thing is if you were to tell

me to go give an elevator pitch to subscribe my channel and try to sell how

we fill that elevator pitch miserably because I didn't figure out yet what my

unique brand of comedy is what are the little nuances and tricks that I have

the other channels don't have what makes me different back then the biggest issue

was that who was never anything about my videos that said yeah that's a foxy

video oh I know who he is I did have my own Flair my own style my

own pizzazz per se and after that moment when I really started to think I said

alright I need to figure out what my videos are all about so the first thing

I went about doing was seeing the patterns in my videos what worked and

what didn't work and for me I figured out those patterns by looking at my

analytics my audience retention comments on my videos or asking my family and

friends what they liked and what they didn't like and you start to see the

same kind of critiques across the board or maybe some of the same praise and you

need to start paying attention to that because that's what's going to help you

refine your brand when you're experimenting

reverse-engineered my videos I notice that people like it zooms the deadpans

the Easter eggs out sprinkles throughout the videos and the references the mean

culture I always try to spice things up for the people who watch my videos and

hide little funny jokes throughout it so it's almost like a scavenger hunt my

Easter eggs would include things like the Illuminati symbol lashing randomly

or a little text joke here or there or things like that to have something else

to talk about within the video which always made it more interesting so now

that I know what works I have to be very conscious about my brand image and I

need to stick to what is working because that's what people are subscribed for I

have a clear vision in my mind every time I start a new video I even start

looking at my personal aesthetic as it reflects my channel as well I want them

to remember my face so that way when I'm doing collaborations and I'm in other

people's videos they're able to kind of connect and say hey that's foxy what's

up dude people like characters so why not be one yourself

so overall I'll leave you with this when you are grading your brand and evolving

your content you need to consistently ask yourself the core questions who are

you what is your message what value are you providing and who is it for and when

you're able to answer those questions better it'll improve your videos your

channel the entire experience for everyone watching the internet YouTube

everything in general it's becoming such a huge saturated space so you have to be

more than a comedy channel a beauty channel a vlogging channel whatever

you're pursuing you have to be you the best you the only you when people can

quickly understand who you are what you're all about in the unique value

that you provide you'll have more subscribers and better videos overall

who am i what would I do for a Klondike bar should I trust the government what's

for lunch tip for hey guys we are Bryan and Pascal of the YouTube channel him in

him and on our channel we share our lives through berry content in the form

of vlogs live events q and A's tags and challenges and much more now the advice

we want to share with you today in creating your YouTube channel

I think one of the most easily applicable yet effective thing to know

right updates at the start and what we'll share with you today is the

importance of online trends and the usage of metadata huh one of the most

important aspect of any successful YouTube channel is the search ability of

its content because the better search ability the more views that it will

generate and the sad part about people not understanding what metadata is for

is that you can work so hard on a video on your channel and if it's not seen by

many of them your channel will simply not grow and you will not understand why

but what exactly is metadata it's really simple metadata is all the information

surrounding a video like its title description tags and annotations this is

how your video is going to be searchable so making a good use of metadata and the

right keywords is gonna have a significant impact on how your content

is gonna be searchable a good tool to help you find popular keywords and

search terms is on the Google Trends website there you can find search terms

that are not only popular on Google in general but on the YouTube trends

section and you can also see the interest over time of that search term

the best part of this website is that you can even narrow down your search to

particular countries depending on your audience's residence choosing the right

words and key terms that you will attach to your video will not only determine

the success of your content but will also likely make your video more

searchable by the viewers we do hope we've convinced you on the importance of

metadata and how it is important to helping you grow any successful YouTube

channel big or small and that starting today you will use it to help grow your

own awesome YouTube channel tip number five hi my name is Palomar na and I do

prank videos challenges and vlogs I have been on YouTube for about two years now

and I want to share with you how fostering my YouTube community has

helped grow my channel when I first started my youtube channel I was very

nervous to put myself out there and I ended up creating content that wasn't

very personal I rarely address my viewers for my

videos and didn't even comment back that much now I am very personal with my

subscribers because I finally saw it as a community and not just as a place to

post videos my audience means the world to me and they inspire me to continue

posting and now I feel the open free space to truly be myself and I have

gotten such positive feedback from that after my own experience I wanted to give

you guys some tips on how to grow your YouTube community and thus gain more

subscribers firstly addressing your viewers in a comfortable fun friendly

manner is so important when signing on or off you can thank your audience for

watching tell them when a new video is going to be posted and make sure when

you ask for a like or subscribe tell them how much that means to you I

personally love to say you guys are amazing and I hope you're having a great

day I think it's all I mean letting head being authentic and personal shows that

you're a real person and breaks that barrier between the screen where they

can truly see you as a friend and not just as a video maker a really fun thing

is that sometimes a sign off or sign off naturally develops mine actually became

hi my name is Paloma if you didn't already know that hi it's Paloma if you

didn't already know that and that is something that your audience loves and I

love it too my next tip is to make the most out of the description box rather

than just making your description of formal summary make it fun make it

friendly and make it personal speak casually as if they're your friends and

I always say thank you for watching and I love you in each of my descriptions in

comments and messages people always say I love you so I just love to say it back

thirdly my tip is to engage with your audience make sure to pin heart and

light comments and also respond to them it's great when your audience sees that

you're engaging and actually want hear what they have to say it can also

be extremely beneficial to link all your social medias and interact with them on

those platforms I personally always check my Instagram right before I go to

bed and even if you just message them back with a simple emoji it will mean so

much to them next is making personal videos for example q and A's are a great

way for your audience to truly get to know you

in addition asking them for questions before you do your Q&A can make it so

much better you could even say the name or the username of the people that ask

the questions I've noticed in my audience love side because they're like

oh this is so cool this youtuber knows me and is interacting with me personally

I was very shy to make q and A's I wasn't sure people even wanted to get to

know me but once I finally did I got so much positivity from it and if it

continued to ask me questions and I still get a little shy but it's

definitely worth it

thanks for having me today in addition creating a channel trailer is so great

when someone visits your channel that will automatically start playing and

will get them immediately engaged that channel trailer can be a compilation of

your videos a Q&A or even one of your favorite videos on your channel if your

viewers feel a more personal connection to you there's definitely more likely to

subscribe lastly is one of my personal favorites it's doing a live broadcast

going live on YouTube or you now allows your viewers a chance to really just

hang out with you as a friend in live time you can talk about random subjects

fun stories and answer their questions this can establish a connection with

your viewers as always giving them the chance to support you in the form of

monetary gifts and you guys okay bye guys oh I have to press oh Shannon thank

you so much for checking Shen like right before I press that

bye guys I do live strange almost every day now and I see so many more messages

on social medias so many more comments because they feel as if I'm a friend and

I love that that is so important to me they are the ones always supporting you

and that is so important to recognize yeah so I hope you're having a great day

and I love you so much bye tip number 6 hi guys my name is petit I

am a youtuber and my youtube channel is called nella grace and I make videos on

YouTube every single week I make lifestyle videos and I vlog and I want

to share with you guys how I've managed to grow my subscribers exponentially

especially in the last six months I've got one tip for you on how you can get

more subs this year and that tip is to know your niche when I've just said I'm

a youtuber that's very general I said I make lifestyle videos that's very

general and I said I've loved that's very general well maybe your channel is

that and sometimes that doesn't help to grow your subscribers because people

don't know what to expect when they come to your channel so when I say that you

need to know your knees you need to find something

pick that you're doing so I'm a medical student and in my third year and I make

videos about the medical student and that has a huge audience on YouTube

people are interested people always know when they come to my channel they're

gonna find something medical school related and sometimes you can think oh

if I make something specific like one niche that might limit me and it doesn't

limit you I like fashion I like hair I like you know fitness and I still make

those videos but specific for medical students so I might make a week and my

wardrobe as a medical student how to dress for medical school or how I manage

my hobbies as a medical student so I'll do something with fitness related so

it's still very nice she it's still for medical students but I still get to

express myself express my creativity but people know exactly what to expect and

that's what you need to do what is your niche if I use another example if you

think of Blogilates if you don't know she is she's a fitness youtuber but not

only she had Fitness YouTube but she has found a specific niche and she does

Pilates so people know when they come to her channel they're not gonna find wait

lipstick they're not gonna find jogging and all these things what they're gonna

find is Pilates as you can see on my videos before and something to niche

myself I never really used to break a thousand views because it was very broad

and people didn't really know what to expect and as soon as I started niche my

videos I was getting 100,000 views 50,000 bees per video because people

were interested in that I found my audience and my engagement grew my

comments blew up its specifically because I found my niche so when you do

this first off when you do this for your channel you realize that people are very

engaged people are very interested in exactly what you have to say thanks so

much for watching guys

thanks for watching guys we hope you enjoyed those tips make sure you like

and subscribe and we'll see you next time

ciao

go and try it for free now

you

Present and Future Real Conditionals: IF-clauses in English - Duration: 12:26.

[title]

Let's go over your answers to the tasks from our previous lesson. Okay?

I asked you to look at three statements. Are the verb forms correct in the conditional sentences?

These three statements share three conversational expressions that use with real conditionals.

The expressions are: [reads]

So that first sentence doesn't need that progressive verb.

We say "Correct me if I'm wrong…" when we're almost certain we have the correct information,

but we're giving our listener a chance to tell us we've made a mistake or misunderstood.

What follows can be in the past, present, or future. Look at these examples.

The second sentence uses the simple past "mistook," but we need the past participle. "Mistaken."

This second expression is similar to our first. We say, "If I'm not mistaken" when we're quite certain we have the correct information.

But there is room for just a little doubt.

So you see that the information we have can be about any time period.

The third expression also uses the simple present in the if-clause:

not "if you were so smart," but "if you are so smart."

The contraction YOU'RE. "If you're so smart, then..."

Note, this one can sound rude. It's basically an accusation that someone doesn't have the skill or knowledge to do something.

This means that I don't really think you're that smart. In fact, you're no smarter than me.

A question or a demand follows in the result clause:

Now let's talk at the bonus question: [reads]

This is another type of real conditional, but what's the time frame? Will happen…?

The future, right?

So we're now talking about real or likely situations in the future. If a condition is met, something will likely happen.

We can use WILL or BE GOING TO in the main clause, the result clause.

In our IF-clause, we use the present tense, even though we're talking about the future.

Let's see if you used the correct verb forms in your future conditionals.

Let's look at your answers to my question: What will happen if you don't charge your cell phone?

A true possibility.

I'm glad that's one of your concerns.

Lucas responded and the first time he wrote:

...And I said that that his example should be either entirely real or entirely unreal (hypothetical).

So Lucas self-corrected and did a great job. He rewrote it as:

Now it makes sense. It's all real, and depending on the context the grammar works for either

a real situation, like a general truth, or a likely situation in the future.

We just need more context, but the grammar now is correct. Good job.

True. We do so much digital communication. If you don't charge your phone, you won't be able to do that.

Right? In your Contacts. Good point.

This is like Lucas's example. The grammar is correct, and we would need more context

to understand if this is a general truth, a fact about the present, or if this is a likely situation. Something that will happen in the future

if we don't charge the phone.

But the grammar is correct.

All right. Good job.

Susana, your example is:

True. It's not just for personal use. Right? We need our cell phones for business, too.

Let's look at Gabriel's example. He wrote:

Good example. The grammar is correct, and I'm glad you thought of that.

We would not want that situation to happen, so thank you for charging your cell phone.

Marcelo shared an example. He wrote:

Yes, that is a tip for tourists. And this is a real possibility.

You could have problems. You will have problems at the airport if you don't charge your phone

and they can't check it to see if it's functioning correctly and normally.

Yeah. I would change this last part, Marcelo, and make it a little less wordy.

The grammar is correct, but let's say...

How about "they need"?

And in our last example, Bahar wrote:

Maybe that's a good possibility to consider.

Great job, everyone.

As you saw, we can use modal verbs in the result clause as well.

Modal verbs like MAY and MIGHT help us refer to future possibilities.

CAN and CAN'T allow us to talk about what we'll be able to do or what we won't be able to do.

When we make predictions about the future, we sometimes base our guess on a present situation.

So the condition is in the present, and the result is in the future.

In that case, you may see different present tense verb forms in the if-clause.

Consider all these examples.

In our next lesson, we'll finish talking about real conditionals. Here's your next task.

We'll go over the answers in the next lesson.

Answer my questions.

And here's the bonus task, the one you can answer in the comments.

Remember if you post your examples, I'll likely use them in my next video.

You're bonus task is to complete these sentences with your own ideas.

I'll see you again soon for our next lesson on conditionals

Please remember to like this video and subscribe.

That's all for now. Thanks for watching and happy studies!
