Today we'll make very famous Gujarati snack recipe i.e Dhokla
Although its made with variations, White dhokla made with semolina
And khaman dhokla made with gram flour
Today we'll make Khaman Dhokla which is very easy to make and tasty too
So let's make Khaman Dhokla
To make Khaman Dhokla we've taken 1 cup Gram Flour
1 tbsp Semolina
1 Cup Water
1/4 Cup Yogurt, 1 Lemon
Salt to taste, 1 tsp Sugar
2 Green chilli, 1/2 inch Ginger paste
1 tsp Eno Fruit salt & we'll use all these ingredients to make batter
For tempering we'll take 2 tbsp Oil, 1 tsp Mustard, 1/2 pinch Asafoetida,
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
10-12 Curry leaves, 4-5 Long Slit Green Chillies
1 tsp Sugar
Coriander leaves and grated coconut
So let's make Khaman Dhokla
Turn on the flame and add 3 cup water in the vessel
Boil it for 4-5 mins on the medium flame
Taking gram flour in a mixing bowl
Semolina
Mix it well
Yogurt
Ginger-green chilli paste
Sugar
Salt
Lemon Juice
Mix it well
We'll make the batter by adding water slowly
Mix it well
We've sieve the gram flour before mixing
Batter is ready adding 1/2 tsp Eno Fruit Salt
Mix it well
Mix it for continuous 2 mins
Grease the plate with oil
Pour the batter in the plate
We've pour the batter into this greased plate
Putting it into steamer, here the water is boiled
Now we'll place the greased plate into the steamer
Plate is placed, cover it and let it cook for 15 mins & check in between
15 mins are passed, let's check
We'll check with the help of toothpick
If it comes out clean, it means dhokla is ready
We can also check this with knife
turn off the flame and let it cool down for 20 mins
Turn on the flame and add 2 tbsp oil in the pan
We are making tempering or dhokla, adding mustard seed in to the oil
Asafoetida
Sesame Seeds
Curry leaves
Green chillies
Adding 1/2 Cup water in the tempering
Sugar
Mix it well
Boil it for 2 mins
After 2 mins turn off the flame
20 mins has been passed, dhokla is cool down and now we'll cut it into square pieces
Pouring the tempering on the dhokla
Separate the pieces after 10 mins
Here we have Khaman Dhokla is ready, we have garnished it with coconut and coriander leaves
And serving with green chutney
